How to obtain the special Items.
Redd's Tent Items
-----------------
These were marked with a (R) in the furniture list.
Check with Copper everyday until he says Redd is coming. When that day comes, wait until 6 PM.
Talk to Copper again to learn where Redd set up shop. When he comes to Town, Redd sells 2
Redd's Tent items and one regular Nook item; all at 4 times the cost.
There are other ways to get Redd items too. Check you message board every day, because a
villager might lead you on a treasure hunt to find one.
If you have access to the GBA isle, you can get Redd items there too. Bury any old furniture,
then upload the island to the GBA. Give you islander fruit until they are happy ^_^, and then
give them the shovel. Point tem torwards your buried furniture, and, if you're lucky, they'll
dig it up and replace it with a Redd Item.
All of Redd's items can be traded and ordered from the catalog.
Nook's Lottery Items
--------------------
These were marked with a (L) in the furniture list.
Every time you buy furniture, Clothing, carpet, or wallpaper from Nook, you'll get a raffle
ticket. These are used at the end of each month, were Nook will hold a lottery of sorts. 5
tickets earns you a shot at a lottery item.
There are other ways to get lottery items too. Just like the Redd items, villagers will bury
them, and you can get your happy islander to dig them up.
All Lottery items can be traded and ordered from the catalog.
Harvest Items
-------------
These include all the items in the Harvest series, Harvest wall, and Harvest Carpet.
On the Harvest Festival (AKA Thanksgiving), a Turkey called Franklin will visit your town. Your
job is to go to the feast, steal the knife and fork, and return them to Franklin for a Harvest
item. Franklin always hides between a tree or house. You can find out his location by talking
to your townies that aren't attending the festival. They might tell you which row he's in,
which will cut down on a lot of searching.
All Harvest items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Spooky Items
------------
These include all the items in the Spooky series, Spooky wall, and Spooky Carpet.
On Holloween, a mysterious visitor called Jack will visit your town. If you find Jack and give
him a peice of candy, he'll reward you with a Spooky item. It's not that easy, however,
because all of your townies will dress up like Jack, chase you, and harass you for your candy.
You can keep yourself safe from the villagers tricks by walking around without any items and
with a crummy shirt on. Put your candy in envelopes to keep them safe. Jack will be wandering
around a random acre in your town. You can tell it's Jack because he doesn't chase you.
All Spooky items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Jingle Items
------------
These include all the items in the Jingle series, Jingle wall, and Jingle Carpet.
Every Christmas Eve night, the Santa Reindeer called Jingle will visit your town.
Find him and talk to him until he gives you a Jingle item. Then change clothes and repeat the
process.
All Jingle items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Snowman Items
-------------
These include all the items in the Snowman series, Snowman wall, and Snowman Carpet.
First, ya gotta find your snowballs. Roll a ball so that when you stand behind it, it goes
up to your nose.
Roll a second ball so that when you stand behind it, it goes up to your chin.
Now roll the second ball onto the first. If all went well, the snowman will come to life,
congratulate you on your l337 sn0wman skillz, and give you a snowman item in the mail.
All Snowman items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Island Items
------------
On your GBA island, bury any peice of furniture and upload it to your GBA. Feed your islander
fruit until they're happy ^_^, then give him the shovel and have him dig up your furniture.
He'll take your items, and if your lucky, replace it with an Island Item.
All Island items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Gulliver Items
--------------
Once a week, Gulliver the Seagull will wash up on your beach. Talk to him repeatedly until he
wakes up. He will then give you a random Gulliver Item.
All Gulliver items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Igloo Items
-----------
These are: Chowder, Crab Stew, Fireplace, Sleigh, Snow Bunny, Snowboard, Igloo Model.
During winter, your townies will build igloos. You can play games where you buy or sell stuff
with the igloo resident. If your patient and lucky at the buying games, they'll offer up an
igloo item.
Not mentioned above is the DUMMY, which serves NO PURPOSE. It was just accidentaly forgotten
by the programmers. Quit askin' me about it.
All Igloo items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
Camper Items
------------
These are: Backpack, Bonfire, Campfire, Cooler, Kayak, Lantern, Mountain Bike, Propane Stove,
Sleeping Bag, and Tent Model.
See "igloo items", only replace "winter" with "summer" and "igloo" with "tent".
All Camper items can't be traded, and can't be ordered from the catalog.
8-bit Mario Items
-----------------
The 8-bit Mario Theme consists of: Starman, Flagpole, Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Flagpole,
? Block, Brick Block, Cannon, Green Pipe, Coin, Block Flooring, and the wallpaper that I
forgot the name of.
These are only obtainable through Universal Codes.
You can wait until Nintendo releases all of them, or you can go to
http://acblink.cjb.net
and get most of them right now.
We currently have NOT found: The wallpaper, Green Pipe, and Brick Block.
Golden Tools
------------
The Golden axe, shovel, net, and fishing rod are gotten in a variety of ways. None of them can
be traded or ordered from the catalog.
Shovel: Every day, there will a shining spot in your town. Dig in that spot, then bury a
shovel. (This obviously requires 2 shovels.) A golden tree will sprout, and if it reaches
maturity, you can shake it and have the golden shovel pop out.
The golden shovel allows you to get more money from shiney spots, and rare items from the GBA
island. It also randomly digs up 100 bells.
Axe: To get the unbreakable golden axe, you must get the wishing well to say your town is
perfect for about 2 weeks in a row. Once you've done that, Ask "how are things?", and the
wishing well will give you the golden axe. You can get a perfect rating by cutting down
overgrown areas and planting trees in acres that don't have many. Also be sure to not litter
your town, and pull any weeds you see.
Net and Rod: You have to catch every type of insect for the net, and every type of fish for the
rod. I'm not sure how exactly you rerieve them, though.

Gracie Shirts: Talk to Copper every day until he says they will be starting a Bust Illegal
Parkers (B.I.P.) campaign. When that day arrives, go talk to Copper again to learn which acre
Gracie is in. Gracie is an obnoxious giraffe who will be glad to hand over some rare clothing
only obtainable through her... for a price. To get a Gracie original, you must wash her car,
which is basically just pressing the A button repeatedly. Easier said than done; Washing her
car before time is up is one of the most difficult challenges in "push button repeatedly"
history. Even turbo controllers don't live up to her standards! If you don't wash her car well
enough, she'll just give you a boring old Nook outfit. Good luck with her.
Work uniform: This is recieved from Tom Nook on your first day of playing Animal Crossing.
Patched Shirt: This is recieved on Halloween. Wear a junky shirt, then get caught by a townie
and refuse to hand over candy. They will then either turn an item in your inventory into junk,
or turn your shirt into the patched shirt.
Jingle Shirt: This is yet another item Jingle might give you when he visits.
Blue Aloha Shirt: When you first enter your Island home, you will find two of these.
Red Aloha Shirt: Same as blue Aloha shirt.

Upates:
1.0: The original, Duh. Complete Furniture, Item, Carpet, Wallpaper, Gyroid, and K.K. Song
checklists. Almost complete Item Collection Guide. I still need to add: Stationary, Clothing,
Fossils, Fish, Insects. 11 Pages, 4,275 Words, 36,775 Characters, 8 hours of total work.
1.2: A slight update to the original. Added series, theme, and set guide. Added bugs and fish.
First attempt at submission to Gamefaqs... and it was accepted! Yay!
1.3: Added stationary, fossil, and clothing checklists. Fixed up a few typos and stuff,
did a bit of formatting here and there. Added a few new entries into the item collection guide.
1.4: Added some stuff that accidentaly was missing. I'm perfectly satisfied with this now.
So it should be the final version, but ya never know.
1.5: I lied about no more updates.
- I nixed the Series/Theme/Set guide, because it was clogging up the guide, and I don't think
anyone was using it. You can still see it here:

- I seperated Igloo/Camper items from the special gifts.

Apparently, somebody took my guide, removed the copyrights, and pretended it was theirs.
I wasn't even aware of it until members badgered him and he took it down. I didn't have to do
anything, which is why I love this country. And the fact that my guide is steal-worthy is
actually a complement, in a freaky vicarious way.
