Monster Building Help

This FAQ was written to help users understand where monster stats come from so
that they may build the type of monster they want to. Questions and comments
should be sent to [email protected] with a heading that reads "AMAZING ISLAND
FAQ".

1. Monster Notes

Here are a few things I've figured out so far:

A. Item size, location, body part (i.e. head, left arm) and color DO NOT
   alter statistics. The item itself is what gives your creature it's bonuses.

B. Pattern variety, painting, and sliding within a single type (i.e. cow,
   zigzag) DOES NOT alter stats.

C. Eye location, size, and position DO NOT alter statistics.

D. Voice variety (i.e. robotic, high) within the same voice selection (i.e.
   horse, wolf) DO NOT alter statistics, but the voice itself DOES.

E. Names DO NOT alter statistics.

F. Accessories AND pattern decide attribute, but it seems as though
   accessories are stronger (i.e. all wings makes a monster a wind, even if
   the pattern is a water variety).

G. All items ARE NOT equal. For example, a horn is not just a horn!
   One may give 3 to speed, 8 to power, 4 to mental, and 1 to stamina, while
   another gives 1/10/0/6.

H. Some items subtract stats (i.e. ogre horn gives 4/-2/2/0 to the head).

I. Frames ARE NOT equal. Drawing something EXACTLY the same in a different
   frame WILL NOT give your monster the same stats.

J. What you draw as your frame DOES alter stats. Size, location, and shape
   DO matter, as well as inflation.

K. On the Dragon-Man Frame, my tests (5 attempts using a circle stamp on the
   same area with the 5 different inflation types) said that arm thickness
   does not matter.

L. Stats given by items are the same on all frames.

2. 100% Item List and Statistics

A. IMPORTANT NOTES!

-All stats are based on a dog frame with only normal inflated spheres for
hands, starting with the dragon pattern and dinosaur voice, so pattern and
voice statistics are changes from the originals. For example, the Lizard
pattern does NOT give -1/2/-1/4. This is the number is gives when COMPARED to
the pattern.

-The dragon pattern's stats compared to other patterns are as follows:
Speed- Nine pattern groups are above it.
Mental- Five pattern groups are above it.
Strength- One pattern group is above it.
Stamina- Four pattern groups are above it.

-Eyes are done in pairs (duh).

-The dinosaur voice's stats compared to other voices are as follows:
Speed- In the middle of the voice groups.
Mental- Five voice groups above it.
Strength- Top group of voices.
Stamina- Four voice groups above it.

-Original testing took place on several other frames and body parts, all of
varying size and inflation, and confirmed notes one through twelve, but
further testing may be needed.

-Stats are listed speed/mental/power/stamina.

-Items that I THINK are from the GBA mini-game are marked with a @ next to
them. Items with an @+ are from the GBA Link battles.
