Welcome to another one of my FAQ's. As usual, I don't say a word about the game
in the Introduction. I won't update the FAQ section not anymore after I release
the complete version. But everybody can send me tips and questions. If they are
big enough, I might consider updating it despite that.

Do you love cookies? Then try Yoshi’s Cookie! This fast-paced puzzle game is
fun for kids of all ages. It’s easy – just to move randomly placed cookies
(Heart, Flower, Diamond, Check, Circle and Yoshi) into rows and columns of the
same type. If you make a row or column of the same cookies, the line disappears
and you score points. Remove more then one row or column at a time for really
big points!
In the one-player action game, clear the screen and you advance to the next
more challenging stage. Use the special Yoshi Cookie as a wild card for even
more points!
In the Vs game, test your skill against a friend or the computer. Race against
the clock to clear enough rows and columns first. Every row or column you
remove gives you a Yoshi Cookie. Remove a row or column of Yoshi Cookies and
pull some wild tricks on your opponent but watch out! Sometimes those tricks
can backfire.
The Puzzle game tests strategy, not speed. You’re given a limited number of
moves to clear all of the cookies from the screen. Pass all of the levels and
reveal the secret of Mario World map.
[1] [Q]. What are those numbers like [A300] next to the title of every section?
[A] It is the search engine of this FAQ. Press Ctrl and F. Type in the
search code for the section you want to go to. You should be there in
two steps.
[2] [Q]. How many levels are there in Adventure mode?
[A] There are 10 stages and 10 worlds so there are 100 levels.
[3] [Q]. Is Yoshi No Cookie a sequel to Yoshi’s Cookie?
[A] No, it is the name of the Japanese version.
[4] [Q]. Are there Game Genie codes for this game?
[A] Yes, there is a Patch Code FAQ for this FAQ at www.gamefaqs.com.
[5] [Q]. Are the levels the same in every game?
[A] Yes, they are. Otherwise this FAQ/walkthrough wouldn’t help you.
[6] [Q]. How come I got different passwords?
[A] For every level there are multiple passwords.
Choose the round you wish to start at. The Puzzle Game has ten rounds – each
with ten stages. So there are hundred stages in total to complete. When you
complete a Puzzle, the password for the next puzzle will be displayed. You may
enter a password at the Puzzle menu to begin at a particular round and Stage.
<< MUSIC <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Turns the music On or Off. It might be better to turn the music off in this
particular mode so that you won't be distracted from the puzzles while playing.
You'll often need to use all of your thinking power.
>> PLAYING THE PUZZLE GAME >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Puzzle game tests strategy, not speed. There are a total of 100 puzzles –
10
rounds, each with 10 stages. To solve each puzzle, you are allowed a set number
of moves to rearrange a jumbled set of cookies and clear them off the screen.
The box on the upper right side of the screen displays the number of moves you
are allowed. If you are not able to complete the puzzle in the number of moves
shown, you will be given the opportunity to try again. The timer shows you how
much time it has taken to solve each puzzle but the time you get, isn't
important. It is just to be able to compare with your friends.

Move the yellow coloured cookie on the second horizontal row to the left. Move
the one on the bottom horizontal row to the right. The password is C2WLV6R.
Move the three upper rows one place to the left. Then move the last vertical
row
from the left one place up. Password for this difficult level is RHHLV4J.
Move the second horizontal row from the top one place to the right. Move the
second vertical row from the left one place up. Password for the last level of
world 1 is 54TLVY2.

*******************************************************************************
The first vertical row from the right has to be moved one place down. Move the
bottom row 2 places to the left and again the first vertical row 2 places up.
Difficult puzzle so remember this password: R?XLVGJ.
Move the fourth vertical row starting from the left one place down, the fourth
horizontal starting from the bottom to the right and then move that same row
back to the left.
Move the top horizontal row to the left, the fourth vertical one place down.
Move the third vertical one place up and the second horizontal row to the
left.
Move the second vertical row starting from the left one place down. Than you
have to move the top horizontal row to the left and you should raise the third
vertical row one place up. With this solution you have one move left.
Move the third vertical row one place down and the top horizontal row one spot
to the left. After that you only have to move the third vertical row one place
down.
Move the fifth horizontal one place to the left, the second horizontal to the
right. After that you have to move the third vertical one place up and finally
the fourth vertical one place down.

*******************************************************************************
*******************************************************************************
Move the third vertical row from the left one place down, the upper horizontal
row to the right and the first vertical row (from the left) one place up.
Move the fourth horizontal row to the right. After that you have to move the
first vertical one place up. The fourth vertical row has to be moved one place
down and finally you have to move the bottom row to the left.
Move the row where you start one place up and move the vertical row with all
the green cookies one place to the left. Move the last green cookie into the
row.
Move the top row to the left once. Then move the bottom row to the right once.
Move the far right column down once, and finally, move the far left column up
once.
Move the second column from the right up once. Then move the bottom row once to
the right. You should now be down to a 3x3 square. Move the middle column down
once. Then move the middle row to the left once. Next, move the middle column
down once. Move the middle row left once. Finally, move the far right column up
once.
Move the top row once to the right and move the bottom row once to the left.
Then move the second column from the left up once. Finally, move the second and
third columns from the left down once.
Move the second column from the left up once. Then move the far right column
down once. Now move the second column from the left down once and finally, move
the top row once to the left.
Move the second column from the left up once. Then move the second column from
the right down once. Finally, move the second row from the bottom once to the
left.
Move the second row from the top once to the right. Then move the second column
from the left up once. Finally move the second column from the right down once.
Move the top row once to the left. Then move the middle column up once. Next,
move the far right column down once. Finally, move the second row from the
bottom once to the right.
Move the second row from the bottom once to the left. Then move the middle
column up once. Next, move the second row from the bottom left once more.
Finally, move the second row from the top once to the right.
Move the middle row once to the left. Then move the top row once to the right.
Next, move the second column from the left down once. Finally, move the second
column from the right up once.
Move the top row once to the left. Move the bottom row once to the right. Move
the second column from the right down one. Then move the middle row once to the
right. Finally, move the far right column once down.
Move the third horizontal row to the right. After that you have to move the
second vertical row (from the right this time) a place down. The third thing
you have to do is to move the second horizontal row to the right. The third
horizontal has to be moved to the right. To end the puzzle you have to move
the fourth horizontal row 2 places to the left. You have one move left if you
solve it this way.
Move the third column from the left up twice. Then move each of the two bottom
rows once to the right. Then move the third column from the left up once more.
Move the bottom horizontal row 2 places to the left. Move the fourth horizontal
row (start counting from the bottom) 3 places to the left. Move the first
vertical row (starting from the left) one place down.
Move the far right column up once. Then move the second column from the right
down once. Then move the top row once to the left. Next, move the far left
column down once. Finally, move the bottom row once to the right.
Move the second row from the top twice to the right. Then move the third row
from the bottom twice to the right. Then move the third row from the top twice
to the left. Finally, move the middle column down once.
Move the second row from the top to the right 3 times. Then move the second row
from the bottom to the right 3 times. Finally move the middle row to the left
twice.
Move the second column from the left up once. Then move the third column from
the left up twice. Then move the third column from the right down once.
Finally,
move the middle column down 3 times.
Move the third row from the top to the right once. Then move the third row from
the bottom to the right 3 times. Finally, move the middle column down 3 times.

********************************** World 010 **********************************
*******************************************************************************
*******************************************************************************
Move the middle row to the left 3 times. Then move the far right column down
once. Move the third column from the right down once. Then move the far right
column up once.
Move the second row from the top to the left twice. Then move the third row
from
the top to the left once. Move the second row from the bottom to the right
twice. Finally move the third row from the bottom to the right once.
Move the third row from the bottom to the right once. Then move the third
column
from the left down once. Finally, move the third column from the right up once.
Move the second row from the top to the left twice. Next, move the second row
from the bottom to the right 3 times. Finally, move the bottom row once to the
left.
Counting from the top, move the 1st and 5th rows to the left once and move the
3rd and 7th rows to the right once. Then move the far right column up once to
clear off a row, then move it back down.
Move the far left column up twice. Then move the far right column down twice.
Move the second column from the left down once. Next, move the second column
from the right up once. Then move the fourth row from the top to the left once
and finally, move the fourth row from the bottom to the right once.
Move the bottom row to the right. This is the hardest part of this puzzle as
you'll be tempted to move it to the left and make that row of hearts. However,
if you do that, you'll fail. After your first move, you have to move the first
row from the left one place up which will cause a little chain reaction. Move
the second and sixth row from the left one place down and then you'll have to
move the fourth vertical row, the middle one, one place down and then one place
up. This may seem weird but it is the right thing to do. After that you'll have
to put the Chocolate Cookies on top of each other. After that, you'll have to
do
the same for the Flower Cookies. With this move, you'll solve the puzzle and
with one move left. This means there is another solution out there so if you're
lucky, you will see what I didn't see.
Move the far left column down once. Then move the far right column up once.
Finally, counting from the top, move the 1st and 5th rows once to the left and
the 3rd and 7th rows once to the right.

After you beat the last puzzle, what should be a breeze with this
FAQ/Walkthrough to help you, a picture will appear. On the picture you'll see
"Super Mario" (from Super Mario World: when Mario uses a feather, he transforms
into "Super Mario") and a green Yoshi with wings. On the top of the screen
you'll see "Congratulations". After seeing this, you can either play the Action
mode and the Versus mode or put it back in its box and never play it again
although choosing to do the last thing isn't a very smart thing.
>> SETTING THE MENU >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Press Up/Down on the Control Pad to choose Round, Speed, and Music Type. After
you have made your selections, press Start or the A Button to begin the game.
The B Button takes you back to the Game Select Menu.
Press Left/Right on the Control Pad to select the Round you wish to begin at.
Each Round/World contains 10 stages.
<< SPEED: LOW, MED OR HI <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
This changes the speed at which the new cookies appear on the screen. Low
stands for Slow, Med for Medium and Hi for Fast.
<< MUSIC TYPE: A, B, C OR OFF <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Use this to select the background music. Select Off to stop the music.
>> PLAYING THE ACTION GAME >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
To play the one-player action game, line up the same type of cookies in
vertical
columns or horizontal rows to make them disappear. Clearing the screen of all
the cookies will allow you to move to the next stage. However if the lines of
cookies expand to the edge of the playfield, the game is over. When you
complete
10 Stages, you will advance to the next round. When you complete all 10 Rounds
you will get a special message from Mario.
Eliminate rows and columns of cookies to score. The number of cookies in a
completed column or row determines your score. For example, if you complete a
line of four cookies, you’ll score 40 points. A line with six cookies scores
160
points. If you remove several lines at once, you’ll be rewarded with a better
score.

<< SPEED: LOW, MED OR HI <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
This changes the speed at which the time fuse will burn. Low stands for Slow,
Med for Medium and Hi for Fast.
The Handicap Feature allows you to balance the game between experienced and
inexperienced players. For example, if Player 2 is less experienced than
Player 1, Player 2 may set his/her Handicap to a higher number. This means
Player 2 will need to complete fewer lines in order to win the game.

<< WHICH CHARACTER TO CHOOSE? <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Each of the four characters has special strengths and weaknesses.
ATT (ATTACK): Is the length of time an Attack Event such as BLIND, PANIC,
and SLAVE last.
DEF (DEFENCE): Is each character’s ability to defend against attacks. An
Opponent’s attack time is cut in half if a character’s defence is
strong. The attack time is doubled if Defence is weak.
MES (MESSAGE): Is how quickly the message displayed in each character’s
Event Window changes.
LMT (TIME LIMIT): Is how quickly each character’s Time Fuse burns.

Koopa | Strong | Average | Medium | Short
____________________|_________|_________|_________|____________________________
MARIO: Is a balanced player with no special abilities or weaknesses.
This makes him effective against all other characters.
YOSHI: Has a strong defence that effectively cuts an opposing player’s
Attack Time in half. This makes him a good character to use against
Koopa’s powerful attacks. Yoshi is a good player to start with when
Learning how to play the VS game.
THE PRINCESS: Her strength is her ability to attack an opposing player
Player with the most effective Event. Because Messages cycle
Through her Event Window quickly, you won’t wait too long for the
Right attack to appear.
KOOPA: His strength is his ability to create attacks that last twice as
Long as other character’s attacks. His Timer Fuse, however burns
Very quickly. Don't let his name fool you though, he is Bowser.
<< SICK AND TIRED OF THE OLD CHARACTERS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
If you defeat all four characters in the VS Computer mode, look for a secret
code allowing you to play against a new set of characters. I won’t tell you the
characters because I don’t want to spoil the game for you.
>> 2 PLAYER HINTS AND TIPS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Be careful not to accidentally attack yourself! The only time to do this is
when
you're helping the other player, trying to get a useful panic, or just wasting
Yoshi’s (only works with the slave). The best way to avoid attacking yourself
is
by only using attacks that have just appeared. That way, you know that the
attack won't change right when you use your Yoshi’s.
Attack your opponent as much as possible. That's the only way to win, and
sometimes, you can only group Yoshi’s. If you want to do a double attack
though,
forget it. If you attack when another attack is underway, the second attack
will
take the place of the first attack. Just wait as long as you can to make sure
the beginning attack is used long enough to do damage.
Be careful not to set off a Yoshi chain reaction. Chances are, you'll end up
attacking yourself. To avoid this, all I can say is just make sure that you
don't have 2 or more Yoshi’s near the cookies that you are grouping.
>> PLAYING THE VS GAME >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
In the VS mode, a player goes head-to-head against the computer or a friend.
Each player must sort like cookies into vertical or horizontal lines on the 5 x
5 Playfield. A Player’s Point Meter will increase each time that player
completes a line. The first player to complete 25 lines wins the Round. If a
player doesn’t complete a row or a column before the Timer Fuse runs out, that
player loses the Round. Each time a player wins a round, that player will earn
a
Crown. The Player earning three crowns first wins the match.
During the VS contest, Yoshi Cookies are used to initiate attacks against an
opposing player. If a player completes a line of Yoshi Cookies, the Event
displayed in the Event Window will occur. You’ll earn one Yoshi Cookie each
time
a regular cookie line is completed. If you complete two or more lines at once,
you’ll earn five Yoshi Cookies.
Watch the display box above your playfield! A player’s initials will appear
next
to the Event signifying which player will be affected by the Event.
Watch to see if an “X” or an “O” is displayed. This will help you determine
quickly if the Event specified will have a “good” or a “bad” effect for you. If
an “O” is displayed, the effect will benefit you, if an “X” is displayed, the
effect will benefit your opponent because it will cause something bad to happen
to your character.

Basic Game Play:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To start the game, insert your Yoshi no Cookie Game Pak into your Super
Nintendo
and turn the power switch on. The title screens will appear. Push start to
begin. Move the Control Pad Up/Down to select Action, VS or Puzzle at the Game
Select Menu. Push the A button to confirm your menu choice.
This is a cookie in the shape of a little heart. It is the only red cookie so
you can recognise it quickly. The Heart is one of the five basic cookies.
A Check Cookie is a Cookie in the shape of a Square with 4 Squares on it. Two
of
the Squares are brown the other two are white. This is also a basic cookie.
The Flower Cookie is the third basic cookie and is called the Flower Cookie
because of his shape. This Cookie can be mixed up with the Diamond Cookie when
the cursor is above the centre of the cookie.
>> CIRCLE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This cookie can be recognised easily because it is shaped like a Donut. It is
the fourth basic cookie.
The Diamond Cookie is the last of the five basic cookies and is called the
Diamond Cookie because of it looks like a Diamond because of the green centre
of
the cookie. This Cookie can be mixed up with the Flower Cookie when the cursor
is above the centre of the cookie.
>> YOSHI >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Yoshi Cookie is the only special Cookie and can only be obtained by
completing lines in the Action and VS Mode. The cookie looks like Yoshi.
Think of the cookies on the edges of the rows and columns as being side by
side. For example, if a cookie on the top of a column is moved up, it will
appear on the bottom of that column. It will take some imagination to do so but
it will make it easier to solve the puzzles.
When you complete five lines of one sort in Action Mode you get a Yoshi
Cookie. Watch the Graph in the lower left corner to see how close you are to
getting to one. This cookie counts as every cookie in the game so it is very
handy when you almost have a complete row but are missing one cookie.
For Yoshi Cookies that you remove, you get bonus points. So if you want to
have very high High Scores, you can let the Cookies come and come on the easy
levels till you get many Yoshi’s.
The cursor doesn’t have to be placed on the cookie you want to move, just on
its row or its column.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Important <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
If your password isn't working, switch the number 0 with the letter O or vice-
versa. The difference between those isn't very clear in the game so I might
have
made a mistake and wrote a 0 instead of a O or vice-versa.

I haven’t tested any of these codes. Copyright of these codes belong to the
maker of the game, Bullet Proof Software and to the person who found these
codes.
Choose Action Mode at the title screen and press “start”. Change the round to
“10” and set the speed on “High”. Now turn the music off. Pick up your second
controller and press L, R, Select and Start at the same time to start the bonus
rounds.
In a one-player game you should hold “Up” and press “Select” after setting the
speed on “High”, the Round to “10” and turn the music off. If done correct, you
can select stage 11. This will only work in Action mode.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tougher VS Opponents:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choose VS Mode and choose the Computer (“COM”) as opponent. Now hold L, R and X
after which you press on “Start”.
