sources. In search of a new home, humanity looks to distant galaxies and

EARTH TRAINING PART 1 - DRIVING

The game begins in the Training Academy on Earth, where you are taught by the
coach on how to play the game.

Welcome to the training academy! I'm the coach. To prepare for your mission,
we'll use a simulator that reproduces the conditions of Tetamus II.
まずはスヘ゜ースタンク「VIXIV」の基本きのうをせつめいしながらのフリー走行を 行なう。VIXIVは走行システムにギアほうしきをさいようしている。
To begin, you can practice freely while I explain the basic capabilities of the
space tank VIXIV. VIXIV runs on a gear system.
ていし じょうたいから+ボタンを
上に押すたび,LOW,MED,HIGHのじゅんに,ギアがきりかわる。また,上へ押しつづけるとターボスヒ゜ードが
えられ下へ押しつづけるとバックできる。
From a stop, press Up or Down on the D-pad to change gears between LOW, MED, and
HIGH. Holding Up on the D-pad will put you in TURBO, or hold Down to go
backwards in REV.
フィールドへ出たら まず,+ボタンを上へ1,2回押し,LOWかMEDのスヒ゜ードで進め。なれてきたら HIGHや,バックなども

When you enter the simulator, press Up once or twice to advance in LOW or MED.
When you're comfortable, try HIGH and REV, too. Turn using Left and Right on the

The radar display in the middle of the cockpit shows the field from directly
above, with VIXIV at its center. Nearby objects will appear as dots.
レーダースクリーン上のくろいエリアが君の「しかい」だ。つまり, くろいエリアの中にあるドットのみを君は,フロントガラスごしに見るわけだ。
The black area of the radar screen represents your field of vision. In other
words, only dots in the black area are visible from the cockpit.

Stop immediately and turn until the blinking dot appears in the black portion of
the radar. The enemy should be in your sights.

「レーダー基地」というたてものに入る ひつようがある。テタムス2の 各エリアごとにある,施設の1つだ。入りロの

To resupply strong weapons, you must enter a radar base. There is one such base
in each area of Tetamus II. The two gates by the entrance will guide you inside.
基地に入る場合,まず,2本のゲートの「中間で ていし」せよ。そして,基地の入りロに照準があうまでせんかいせよ!そのまま 前進すれば基地に入れる。
To enter the base, first stop in between the gates. Then, turn to aim at the
entrance, and move forward carefully to enter.

Right then! We'll move on to the explanation of Lock On! This is a critical
training, as some enemies can only be destroyed with missiles.

If you don't have Lock On equipped, return to the radar base and equip it before

Well, next lesson. VIXIV is equipped with an AutoFinder system. This detection
system is automatically calibrated according to your objectives.
じっせんでの各ミッションに おいて君が さがすべき敵などの
位置までみちびいてくれる。ただし...かんちできるきょりにはげんかいがあることにちゅういせよ。
In each mission, AutoFinder will point you towards the position of enemies or
other objectives. Its only downside is that there is a limit to the detectable
distance.

Good, moving on. On Tetamus II there are tunnel networks for moving
underground. There are four entrances to this tunnel network.
全て,「ジャンクション」という中央施設へとつうじている。もちろん,ジャンクションからどのエントランスへもトンネルをとおっていどう可能だ。
All tunnels pass through the central facility junction. When you reach the
junction, you can exit there directly or from any tunnel entrance.
君は,つぎのレッスンで,シミュレーター上に,再現されたトンネルネットワークをたいけんする。トンネル内のそうじゅうにはちゅういが
ひつようだ,せつめいしよう。
Your next lesson is a simulated experience of navigating the tunnel network.

Inside the tunnel, the altitude of VIXIV is controlled with Up and Down. Speed
is controlled via autopilot. Press Down to increase VIXIV's altitude or Up to
decrease altitude. Turn as usual.

Going through the tunnel, you'll arrive at the junction. There, you can stop at
the Military Store and fully charge VIXIV's missiles, fuel, or shields.
「EXITベース」を えらび,ジャンクションから出ろ。また「セレクトトンネル」できぼうするエントランスから出てもよい。 が,ひどい
ダメージをうけたら,さいしょのトンネルから やりなおしだ。
You can choose Exit Base to leave directly from the junction, or Select Tunnel
to leave from any tunnel entrance. But if you're severely damaged, you'll have
to start over.

the tunnel entrances and the junction.

You can look at this map and see your position while piloting VIXIV. Press the
Start button to bring up the map.

EARTH TRAINING PART 13 - FLIGHT

さてトレーニングも,おわりに 近づいた。VIXIVは空中せんにそなえ,「ひこう
きのう」を,もつ。さいごのレッスンはひこうくんれんだ。ひこう中のそうさはトンネルの中とほぼ同じだ。
Your training is almost finished. VIXIV also has flight capability and is
equipped for aerial combat. The last lesson is flight practice. It's very
similar to using the tunnels.
ひこうには+ボタンを上に押しつづけた時のさいこうそくど,「ターボスヒ゜ード」を使う。このスヒ゜ードのままヒ゜ラミッド型オブジェのけいしゃをりよ
うしてりりくするのだ!
To take off, press and hold Up on the D-pad to stay in TURBO. Use the slope of
the pyramid-shaped objects as a ramp!
さらにもうひとつ,ターボスヒ゜ード中はねんりょうを しょうひすることを,おぼえておけ。したがって ひこうには,じゅうぶんなねんりょうが
ひつようだ,ねんりょうメーターにちゅういせよ。
Another thing to remember is that fuel is consumed while in TURBO. Therefore,
substantial fuel is necessary for flight. Pay close attention to VIXIV's fuel
meter.
また,ひこう中は地上の ものを見おとしやすい のでじっせんではむやみに とばないほうがよい だろう。
Also, during flight it's easy to miss things on the ground. Don't rely on flying
too much unless the mission calls for it!

The main game begins after you travel to the remote planet of TETAMUS II in your
ship, the VIXIV tank. The game is broken up into separate missions that are
given to you by the Commander.
MISSION 1

With the nuclear silo refueled, our power sources were restored. It was then
that we discovered that aliens destroyed the power crystal transport. They tried

Finally, the alien mothership appeared. The aliens amassed their weapons for the
final battle. Everything's on the line. Victory or defeat, the fight starts
now...
ニュークリアサイロのうごきが突如,おかしくなった。エイリアンたちによって,ニュークリアサイロの科学者がつれさられていたのだ。このままではいずれ,ニュ
ークリアサイロは大ばくはつを起こしてしまうだろう....
Soon after our victory against the humanoid tanks, the nuclear silo began
malfunctioning. The aliens had abducted the nuclear silo scientist! Without him,
we could have a nuclear meltdown...
放射能のえいきょうもB1なくなり,我々のわくせい開発もきどうにのり始めた,その時....またもエイリアンたちは新たなこうげきをしかけてきた。ニュークリアサイ
ロに対しミサイルを発射してきたのだ。
The effects of the radiation dissipated and planetary development was restarted.
But the aliens mounted a new attack. They fired cruise missiles at the nuclear
silo.
ドクターやまのからサイロの放射能もれが報44された。このままでは大ばくはつを59こしわくせいは,ほうかいしてしまう。きゅうきょ我々は,放射能をせいぎょ
するためのリアクターロッドを開発し,4 だいのトラックにのせサイロへはこぶことになった。
Dr. Yamano informed us of a radioactive leak in the silo. The leak could cause a
massive explosion if not contained. We were able to develop reactor rods to
contain the radioactivity, but now must get them to the silo.
リアクターロッドによって放射能もれはおさまり,サイロは正じょうにもどった。しかし,このことを知ったエイリアンたちは,新型兵器を使い4本のリアクターロッド
全てをサイロからうばっていった。
The leak was contained by the reactor rods, and the silo returned to normal. Our
victory was short lived, as the aliens managed to steal the reactor rods using
new weapons...
エイリアンたちが我々のまえからすがたをけした。わくせいにも平和がおとずれたかに思われた、しかし。。。エイリアンはあきらめてはなかった。ちかにエイリアント
ンネルをつくり,新たなこうげきのじゅんびをすすめていたのだ。
The aliens disappeared from before us. It seemed that peace had fallen over
Tetamus II, but... the aliens didn't give up. They constructed an underground
tunnel network and prepared for another attack.
