WWF RAW is a game that was made for the gameboy in 1994. It featured many
things not seen in portable wrestling games, like theme music for each
of the wrestlers. This game featured eight of the then popular
wrestlers, including the now deceased Yokozuna, Shawn Michaels, and
the Undertaker. Even though this game is old, it is still fairly fun to
play, and is one of the better WWF gameboy games.

Q: How do I start a grapple in this game?
A: Press A+B and you and the opponent will move in a position to
grapple with each other.

Q: Are there any unlockable things in this game?
A: No, but there is a code on www.gamefaqs.com for this game.

Q: Does the game look good on a GBA or a GBC or is the black/white
palette the best?
A: It's a matter of opinion, but I personally prefer the old style b/w.

Q: How do you tag in a teammate?
A: Just press toward them.

Q: How do you climb the turnbuckles?
A: Just press toward them.

Q: What is the countout in this game?
A: 10.

Q: How do I pin?
A: A+B over the midsection of a downed opponent.

Q: How do I win grapples?
A: When you grapple, press from the left to the right repeatedly and
very quickly. When the grapple arrow comes onto your side and becomes
as large as it can be, press up, down, B, or A to do a grapple move.

This game starts off with a disclaimer for the WWF then shows a WWF RAW
logo. If you don't press any button, the game will enter a brief "demo"
mode with random characters. Press start to continue.

After the startup screens, you will be presented with this the three
options of:

One-on-One
Tag Team
Survivor Series

One-on-One is a single match between your wrestler and a cpu controlled
wrester.
Tag Team is a match in which both you and the computer have a teammate
that you can "tag" in.
Survivor Series is a mode in which four wrestlers that you choose go
head to head against the other four wrestlers in a single-elimination/tag
tournament.

To select an option press start.

If you select One-on-One or Tag Team, you will be presented with these
options:

One Fall
Brawl
Tournament

One Fall is a type of match where one wrestler wins when the other is
pinned for a 3 count.
Brawl is a type of match where a wrestler wins by knocking their
opponent's health down to a certain point.
Tournament mode allows you to fight every other wrestler one by one.

To select one of the options, press start.

If you select Survivor Series, you are only presented with:

One Fall
Brawl

After selecting the match type, you have to select the cpu difficulty.
The difficulties are easy, normal, and hard. Press start to select one.

Next, you reach a screen like this:

         Opponent Select

           You Select
           CPU Select

Choosing You select allows you to choose which wrestler(s) you face in
one-on-one or tag matches. This screen does not show up if you select
Survivor Series. Again, press start to continue.

Lastly, you have to select the wrestlers. Select the wrestlers using
the start button. If you chose You Select, you get to choose the
wrestlers you will fight. If you chose CPU select, then the CPU will
randomly choose it's wrestler(s).

To win a match, you basically just have to wear your opponent down.
In One Fall mode to win you just have to pin your opponent for 3
seconds. To do this, grapple with your opponent and slam him repeatedly.
Whenever he is on the ground, use ground attacks to further weaken him.
When he is weak enough, go for the pin with A+B.

To win brawl, do the same as above but instead of pinning him, knock
him to the ground when he has very low health and pound him with ground
attacks. Eventually you will win if you hurt them enough.

#####################
Various hints & tips:
#####################

- Avoid using the turnbuckle move, as that hurts your wrestler almost
as much as the other wrestler.

- Dropkicking your opponent is very difficult, and it is wise not to
try to attempt to many because it hurts you if you miss.

- Try to avoid double tapping in a direction outside the ring because
running into the ring or outside will knock your wrestler down.

- All the wrestlers have the same moves, so their is no advantage to
choosing one over the other.

- In tag team mode, tag your teammate often so your wrestlers can heal
while outside of the ring.

- To win a grapple, rapidly press the control pad from left to right.

- In easy mode, grappling is semi-automatic because of the low cpu
grappling ability. You can win a grapple if you just press the button
at the right time.

Detailed strategy, hints, and tips:
###################################

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy Victories:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To accomplish an easy victory follow any of these instructions:

"Hard" : Exit the ring, and your opponent will follow. Using the ten
second countout, grapple with your opponent until about 6 or 7 on the
countdown. Then, do a move like a body slam on them. Quickly go back
into the ring, and hopefully your opponent will be counted out.

Easy : Another option is to draw your opponent outside, grapple and slam
them, reenter the ring to reset your count, then grapple with them until
their count reaches ten. When it does, if you are back into the ring
before your count reaches ten, you will be an instant winner.

Tedious : Another easy victory is accomplished by abusing the cpu's
tendency to dropkick everything. If you run back and forth across the
ring, avoiding being in the same horizontal row of pixels as your
opponent, he will try to dropkick you several times, and each time he
will suffer more and more damage. This works well with all skill levels,
even though it seems to be better in hard mode.
