[HELP]

Turrican is a exploration-oriented platformer with a high action
quotient that is ridiculously tough and hard-as-nails. The main character
receives no damage mercy after being hit - enemies that come in contact with him
will continue to damage constantly as long as they are in contact. The same goes
for bullet fire. Additionally, hordes of enemies swarm each stage. The game is
not made any easier by lots of tricky platforming jumps and several large levels
with lots of dead end paths.

-----------
MENU SCREEN
-----------

This is a rough ASCII sketch of the menu bar you have on the lower part
of your screen, showing what each icon or number means.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------
| |    # BUZZSAWS           |            |                      |
| | # LIVES    | #CONTINUES |      TIMER |       SCORE          |
| |------------|------------|------------|----------------------|
| | # CRYSTALS |            |  GRENADES  | MINES  | POWER LINES |
 ---------------------------------------------------------------

--------------
LIGHTNING WHIP
--------------
By pressing and holding B, you can indefinitely extend a chain of
lightning from your gun that zaps and destroys most enemies, and causes damage
to more resilient enemies. By pressing the Left and Right buttons, you can also
rotate it around 360 degrees, though it only has 11 or 12 actual angles it can
shoot at, not a full 360 angles.

----------------------------
GRENADES, MINES, POWER LINES
----------------------------
You have three special weapons that you can use throughout the game.

Grenades can be shot out, destroying most enemies that it blasts
through. If it impacts a wall on-screen, it shakes the screen, destroying on-
screen enemies. To use, press the Select button once and then use the B button
to fire it.

Mines are laid by pressing and holding the Down button. Once they go
off, all on-screen enemies are destroyed.

Power Lines send two vertical waves of energy across the screen, one
extending from each side of the Turrican. They are most practical for use
against a boss typically. To use a Power Line, press the Select button TWICE and
then use the B button to fire it.

-----
LASER
-----
You can switch between the normal bullet gun and the Laser gun by
picking up power-ups. The laser pick-up looks like a wavelength symbol. When you
use it, it instantly shoots a narrow, horizontal laser across the screen.

------------
BUZZSAW MODE
------------
By pressing the Down + A buttons, you can activate Buzzsaw mode, where
Turrican turns into a sharp, spinning blade that can move around along platforms
and up slopes and off structures and continue moving so long as there is nothing
to block him from moving. In this form, Turrican is also invincible, and can use
both the gun and the laser gun.

There are two drawbacks: first, it cannot jump, meaning it cannot clear
debris and cannot travel very far at any time. To jump, you need to deactivate
Buzzsaw mode, which is automatic with the A button. Secondly, you can only use
it 3 times per level or life, with the number of buzzsaw icons left on your bar
representing how many uses you have left.

-------------------
LIVES AND CONTINUES
-------------------
The one thing that Turrican is fairly forgiving with is that it gives
you a lot of extra life 1-Ups littered throughout each level. If you die, you
start at pretty much the same position where you died at.

Once you run out of lives, you use up a Continue to start at the
beginning of the level. For every 300 Crystals that you collect, you gain an
extra Continue. If you run out of Continues, however, it is finally a Game Over.

--------
POWER-UPS
---------
This is what each Power-Up you actually pick up does.

1 - Gives an extra Life

       P - Full restores Turrican's health bar

M - Gives an extra Mine

G - Gives an extra Grenade

L - Gives an extra power line

Lightning bolt - Increases length of your Lightning Whip temporarily

Three-arms - Increases gun shot to 3 bullets per shot or increases to 5
if you already have 3 active

Wavelength signal - Gives you the laser gun

4-side Star - Activates a force field for brief invulnerability

Crystals - 300 of these gives you an extra Continue

[WALK]

To hop to a specific level, input the search code (CTRL + F):

       [LEVX]

Where X refers to the stage number that you wish to jump to. For Level
10, use '10' (creating 'LEV10' with the square brackets).

These are the stages each boss shows up for reference:

       The Gauntlet - Level Two
       Dead Head - Level Three
       Mother Fish - Level Four
       Trash Master - Level Five
       Monolith - Level Six

[LEV1]

       TIME LIMIT: 400 seconds

Once the screen opens up, head left and jump up the first cliff, taking
out any enemies that come along before the fly into your face. At the top of the
second jump, shoot at the air at a level aligned just above the tip of the
leftmost plant in the background to your left to make a hidden box appear. Next,
activate your Lightning Whip to get multiple items from the box. Test your gun
shot afterwards - if you still have just one bullet per shot, reset the game and
retry again as it is absolutely imperative you have a better gun starting from
now on. Continue left and up from here. When you are at the boundary of the
screen, jump up to get a 1-Up dropping from above.

Drop back down and start going right, and keep your finger tapping the B
button to constantly be shooting your gun. Head right across the first few
platforms, and you should see some sort of active plant-like formation growing
on one platform (this plant growth will reoccur for several more plants as
well). Destroy it from a platform away using gunshots or your gun laser if you
get any.

Continue up and go right when you can, and stay out of the way of the
first few boulders and the shrapnel they blow up into. Once you make it onto the
left cliff and past one tall plant, press Down + A to turn into a buzzsaw and go
right until you land into a crevasse. Jump again to switch out of buzzsaw mode
and head right down the side of the cliff, breaking or dodging more falling
rocks.

Hop over the two tall spires with the spikes jutting in and out, then
make your way across the waterfall via the two platforms. You will have to be
especially careful with your second jump, as it requires a longer distance than
the first jump across. If you fall down, it is an instant kill.

Eliminate any enemies you come across as you continue up the cliff and
jump across some more water. Be careful in this next part - if you go down too
far, it may be impossible to jump back up or across a waterfall, and you will
have to die to progress. Continue down the outcrop of rock, and hop, over
multiple platforms, taking on a possible surprise mecha. These mecha can be
taken down fairly quickly with judicious use of the Lightning Whip. Climb right
and up to scale up the side of a fortreess, then head right slightly. Continue
up through the centre of the fortress via more platforms, and destroy some more
mechas on the way.

Up top, jump near the centre facing left and shoot until you trigger a
hidden box. Use your Lightning Whip to blow up the secret box and get all the
goodies you can from it. From the left side, if you run left, jump off, and
press left, you can land on a small rock platform. This platform is very narrow
so yo need to immediately stop pressing left on impact, then deal with a mecha
enemy. If you follow the platforms left and up, you can find an area with a VERY
useful extra 4 lives.

Return to the top of the tower. Back from here, head right, and jump off
the top of the tower while continuing to press right. On impact, take out one
last mecha that will be hanging around, then head off screen to the right.

                                  Level Two
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[LEV2]

       TIME LIMIT: 500 seconds

Take out a few airborne enemies at the start and collect the power-ups
they leave behind, then head right to take on the first boss.

The first boss of this game is a simply fist-shaped enemy that the
manual calls The Gauntlet. The Gauntlet's only real attack is to slam into the
ground several times. When not slamming into the ground, it will move back and
forth floating above ground.

The Gauntlet does not really follow your character very much, and it
will strike spots in the ground basically at random. A good place to park
yourself is at the very right end of the screen, and activate your Lightning
Whip to spark and damage the Gauntlet whenever it comes around. The right spot
is not a perfect safe spot as the Gauntlet does occasionally attack there. When
that is the case, quickly activate your Buzzsaw Mode and move away out to
safety.

Once the boss is defeated, head right to move up the hill. Around the
pedestals with spikes jutting out, there are two mechanical towers. Take the
right of them up, and at the top, use your Lightning Whip and do a full 180
degrees above you to locate not one but three Hidden boxes. Jump up to the top
of the third box and use your Lightning Whip above you to reveal two more boxes
and you can jump up to a platform with an astounding 7 lives.

From here, you can go one of two different routes. The easy route is to
just go right and jump off, the hard route is to go down, grabbing power-ups
from the Hidden Boxes, and getting another life before crossing the waterfalls
down below.

--->EASY ROUTE<--

Head right and jump over the platforms. There are a lot of very long
jumps that you need to pull off, so refer to the 'Routes Converge' part for
scaling the right mountain.

--->HARD ROUTE<---

Head back down the boxes. Use your Lightning Whip on all five going from
top to bottom to collect a fair number of goodies. Once all the boxes have been
fully looted, head downhill going right this time.

Going down the hill, head left into a mine shaft. Initially, all you
will have to deal with are bats, but getting in deeper, you will encounter mines
that hop up and down, making it difficult for you to pass by them as they cannot
be destroyed by the normal gun, laser or Lightning Whip. Instead, you will have
to equip your Grenade.

If you can shoot your Grenade at an on-screen wall, do so to destroy all
enemies on-screen, not just the mines. If there is no on-screen wall, you will
need to time your Grenade shot so that it cuts through as many mines as possible
that are bouncing up and down. Your reward, if you make it to the deep end of
the mine shaft, is another Life.

Exit back out from the cave, then head down and right where you shall
from then on have to fend off multiple lightning bolts from a storm cloud. This
will not clear up until you cross over multiple waterfalls (some of them require
extremely long jumps, so look to make sure if there is a platform in between
beforehand) and then climb up several platforms going up the right cliff face.

-->ROUTES CONVERGE<--

Once you head up the right cliff face, you will also have to deal with
spheres being sent out from the mountain. Stay away from the rocky face when you
can while going up the platforms so that you give yourself sufficient room to
dodge a sphere once it comes out of the mountain. You can also, using the
Lightning Whip, destroy the machines in the slots in the mountain that spit out
the spheres.

Once you finally get up to the top, hop from a platform onto the cliff
face. Jump over some protruding spikes and then use a couple of floating
platforms to boost you over the first two spires. You should face a mecha coming
over the third spire. Deal with it.

Head right from here after. Jump over the first spike, then fall down
the hole to the right of it for an extra Life. Get out of the pit, then head up
and go right down the corridor. Hop over the small gap in the floor leading
down, and instead progress right and across some platforms. Make your way slowly
right and then down-right to the right wall, where you should find some power-
ups hanging out on a couple of pedestals.

From the right wall, continue your slow descent down and left and then
down some more until you encounter a mecha. Once you trash the robot opponent,
continue left and drop down again at your first chance, then head right and go
along the rocky ground past a spire until you manage to go off-screen and
finally to the next level.

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[LEV3]

       TIME LIMIT: 600 seconds

Head right after taking out some enemies, and go over a waterfall after
clearing the platforms of the enemies hanging out on them. Continue right past
the first tower structure and head up and right over some more platofmrs, then
down along some rocky platforms until you get to the ground floor.

Proceed right and you will encounter another long sequence of narrow
rocky platforms. Head right and up, taking out the machines in the slots in the
mountains to disable their capacity to fire out spheres at you. Move right into
a corridor above the top of the mountain when you can, and shoot at the blocks
with your gun or Lightning Whip to clear a way through. To get through the two
spheres in the centre, you need to active your Buzzsaw mode to go underneath the
lower one and then press Up or Jump to get out of that mode.

ADDENDUM: If you go left from the mountain, you can eventually get to an
area with 3 Life-Ups and drop off right for a fourth. However, to get there you
have to take on an annoying optional boss called the Dead Head that swoops in
and out and shoots five projects underneath it, and soaks up a lot of damage
before it is finally destroyed. After that, you have to go through an annoying
obstacle course of narrow platforms with lots of aerial enemies.

Activate your Buzzsaw mode to quickly move back and forth right and left
as you go down the corridors. Once you drop down to the ground below, exit
Buzzsaw mode and eliminate all the enemies until a platform appears on top of
the structure next to where the rocket is in the background. Hop onto the
platform and the level shall then conclude.

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[LEV4]

       TIME LIMIT: 500 seconds

Grab a couple of power-ups as you freefall down the shaft. There are
electric guns on the sides of the shaft that you are apparently unable to get
away from and will damage you regardless.

On impact, quickly tackle the enemies running around, then head left,
taking caries of several enemies on platforms before jumping up at the end. Take
several platforms up to ascend the level until you spot an enemy on a platform
with two Life-Ups. Press and hold the Down button to plant a mine which, when
set off, will destroy the enemy on the platform.

Collect your two Life-Ups, then drop back down to the ground floor. Head
right past the shaft where you dropped down through, and start destroying the
floor tiles with your gun or Lightning Whip to drop down to the bottom. Take out
the mechanical contraptions on the walls and platform here with your Lightning
Whip as you move right.

Destroy a solid wall of blocks to collect multiple Crystals hidden
behind it, then head left a little and drop down a small shaft after destroying
the blocks making up the floor. Head right down below for more crystals, then
left across multiple platforms. Once you hit the end, jump up to the plaktforms
above it to grab multiple more Crystals.

Hop across the lower platforms again, going right underneath the floor
at the end, and drop down another small fall. You should come to a couple of
pencil-shaped spikes jutting down from the low roof. Activate Buzzsaw mode to
avoid taking damage while going through, and head right to fall down another
long vertical shaft.

Stay in Buzzsaw mode down below, then head left and run through whatever
enemies are in the way until you hit the ground floor. Move out of Buzzsaw mode,
then head up the platforms and left, breaking through several brick walls (some
of the blocks will fly at you) and then continuing left. Smash the floor tiles
below you to move down, take out more machines on the platforms as you continue,
and destroy still more floors.

Down further, head right and smash multiple blocks. Continue progressing
right, destroying still more blocks, until you can go down and left. Break open
the wall of blocks to the right for some crystals, then shoot your way left and
down through some more floor tiles.

Proceed right and down again here. From where you fall, use your
Lightning Whip right above you to reveal a huge hidden block, and keep your
Lightning Whip focused on the box to get a lot of power-up goodies.

Head left and down from here, and you should face a giant fish boss, the
Mother Fish. The mechanical fish boss will move back and forth, spitting out
bullets going right. At the start, you can go to the left side of the fish and
start firing away at it. You can use your Lightning Whip to shock it for a good
chunk of time, then use your Buzzsaw mode if you have to to dodge it for the
rare few times that it starts to back up and cause contact damage. In Buzzsaw
Mode you can also use your Power Lines attacks, which make be helpful to finish
off the Mother Fish.

Following the battle, head left and scale the platforms up for a cache
of Crystals, then return back down to the floor where you slaughtered the Mother
Fish to find a new shaft opening. Fall down the shaft.

Down below, blast the enemies around you and head left. Use your
lightning gon on the long platform just down and left to reveal a hidden big box
above you, and continue using your Lightning Whip to break it open for lots of
goodies. Head left into the three niches for multiple Crystals, then go right
along the bottom side until you locate another shaft. Take it down to end this
level.

[LEV5]

       TIME LIMIT: 300 seconds

Immediately upon landing, jump up, switch to Grenades in mid-air using
the Select button once, and fire one off to destroy two electric guns right
where you land. Once they are out of the way, turn on your Lightning Whip and
destroy the floor underneath you.

Proceed to walk left after destroying the machines around for a lot of
crystals, then return and progress right for a while, destroying a brick wall
and collecting more Crystals. Break multiple layers of floor tiles and use your
Lightning Whip freely as you travel down and deal with multiple enemies, then
use Buzzsaw mode to make your way past multiple protruding spikes before going
down and right.

Shoot wildly to the right where you land in between two sets of
platforms to reveal a platform. Jump onto it to hop to a floating elevator
located to your right that will carry you up once you land on it. From where it
terminates, press and hold the Down button to plant a mine. Once the mine goes
off, get off to the left side for two Life Ups, then to the right side for
another three Life Ups.

Drop back down the shaft and press right once you get out into the open
to land on a platform to the right. Continue up the hill taking out multiple
enemies and dodging bullets tossed out from the walls, then make your way past a
corridor with multiple ceiling spikes.

When you get to the shaft with boulders falling down, you can use your
Lightning Whip to momentarily reduce the amount of clutter falling down before
hopping across. Grab some more power-ups once you get past more ceiling spikes,
then drop down at the right end. Smash your way through several layers of rock
walls with enemies in between some layers, and progress until you spot another
vertical shaft. Hop onto the platform underneath it and destroy the floor tiles
to jump up and recover a large amount of Crystals to your left and right side.

From here, proceeed right for a bit, until you get to several spikes in
a narrow corridor. Do NOT use Buzzsaws if you have a good amount of health left
- instead, run through, and you will take on this level's boss, the Trash
Master.

The Trash Master does not actually 'attack' you per se. Rather, it will
close in on you and you must destroy it before it reaches the left side and pins
you up against the wall, basically killing you.

Trash Master moves at a fairly slow pace, so stand up to the side just
right of the spike poking out right and shoot at the Wall Master with your
Lightning Whip, and continue holding it. Once it gets very close to your
character, activate the Buzzsaw mode and go to the right side. You should be
able to defeat it without having to run across a second time, if only just
barely.

Once defeated, head right and off-screen for the stage to wrap up and
move to the next one.

[LEV6]

       TIME LIMIT: 400 seconds

Move into Buzzsaw mode right away and head right and down the sloped
floors, then left a bit and right down some more until you get to the dip at the
bottom of the hill. Deactivate Buzzsaw mode to move past this dip, then
reactivate Buzzsaw mode again. Head right up the next hill, then go down and
left and down and right until you hit another tower-like structure that acts as
an obstacle. Deactivate Buzzsaw mode to move left and down past it, then
reactivate it one final time to continue left and down a bit and then right a
ways longer.

Down on the ground floor, hop over the narrow platform ledges going
right, then through another corridor. Drop down the shaft where there is a long
vertical pole coming out of. Press right when droping down and try to shoot at
the two rows of spheres in the wall to the right and you will fight another boss
down below, called the Monolith.

The fight against the Monolith is basically decided in the first couple
of seconds of the fight. Jump and destroy the four orbs in the wall to the
right, then hop into the hole in the wall. If you are lucky, you can do this
before the Monolith moves, or the Monolith may move to the left. If you do not
do this fast enough and the Monolith crushes you, you lose a life.

Once you are in the wall, however, this is a completely safe spot that
the Monolith cannot reach, so focus your Lightning Whip on it and hold it steady
until the boss is finally destroyed.

Following the battle, head right and break your way through all the
spheres, grabbing some power-ups and crystals as well, then head up through more
Crystals. Continuing your climb, make sure to dodge water splats while grabbing
still more Crystals, and use your Lightning Whip occasionally to kill any of the
wriggling worms crawling around the area and destroying small blocks that
prevent you from moving up.

After some climbing up the left side to the top, head out right to wrap
up this level.

       TIME LIMIT: 200 seconds

Irradiate everything around you at the start with your Lightning Whip as
the amount of water droplets precludes moving around and using your normal gun.
Once you get the chance to move right, take out some more foes as you hop over
short gaps across blocks and platforms. Elimating some more bigger enemies and
boulders, run up the slope at the end with a judicious application of the
Buzzsaw.

Stop at the top of the slope and revert to normal. Use your Lightning
Whip to reveal a hidden box above you and destroy it for several power-ups. Head
left from here and up onto the next slope, and follow it up and right for lots
of Crystals secreted in caverns, especially as you push right. Once you get into
one of the right chambers, jump up for the screen fade-out to indicate the end
of the level.

[LEV8]

       TIME LIMIT: 500 seconds

Head left at the start and rup up the slope, then jump up onto the next
slope up top. Continue going up, then head up left slowly over time and
eventually right and left some more until you get to the upper left corner of
the slopes.

Jump into the new area. On the first platform, aim right with your gun
tor eveal a large hidden block, and use your Lightning Whip to break open the
block for several goodies.

Start hopping over the small pillars extending out of the ground.
Shortly after the first set of horizontal pillars that you see in the air are
all to the left of your view, bring out your gun and shoot right to reveal
another large Hidden Block.

After that block has dispensed all it has to offer, continue right
again, keeping an eye on the horizontal platforms. When you have gotten past
another 'set' of the horizontal platforms, shoot around again to reveal a third
Hidden Block. Similarly, continuing right and getting past another set of
platforms above you, you should be able to locate a fourth and final large
secret block. Smash it for still more material power-ups.

Head back left from that last hidden box and take the right-most set of
platforms up. Going up, move along the left side until you get onto solid ground
up top, then head left through a narrow corridor, collecting lots of blocks.
Move around left and loop around up top and going right.

You should encounter another split to go up a floor between left and
right. Take the right path and follow it up, then head right up top and drop
down. Head right slightly, then up again, and right past some dripping water.
Scale the walls up to the right of this water drop, and continue ascending up
the level until you get up to where some waterfalls are in the background to
your left and right.

Use the Lightning Whip around the bottom of the right waterfall, and you
should be able to find another Hidden box. Break it with further use of the
Lightning Whip. Climb the platforms here up, then go left and drop down at the
left-most platform, pressing left to go through a hole in the wall.

Where you come out, use the Lightning Whip again near the next waterfall
to find one last Hidden Box for this level. Break it using your Lightning Whip
further to obtain still more items, then head left where you will face the
penultimate boss, called the Queen Mother.

The Queen Mother takes a TON of damage to kill, and she can spit out
bullets like crazy. Fortunately, while there is not a safe 'spot' to kill her,
if you activate Buzzsaw mode, you can roll around her and damage her by pressing
the B button to fire your gun or Laser gun until she falls, without taking any
damage in turn. Again, however, as noted before, she will take quite a lot of
damage to fell, so do not be surprised if it takes a while to end her.

After the Queen Mother finally goes down, head up the platforms to the
left of where you fought her. After ascending the platforms, head right, dodging
water droplets from the plants above you. Getting to the central platform at the
top where the water flow comes from, head up onto the left slope and run up the
slope, or use your Buzzsaw.

Up left and at the top, go up. Hop across some pillars, then jump onto
the first pillar hanging in the air when it comes into view. Jump up and right
across the islands until you get to more solid ground at the end. Destroy the
orbs blocking the corridor and head right and out to end this stage.

[LEV9]

       TIME LIMIT: 400 seconds

Break some blocks at the start to continue right. Use the Lightning Whip
to clear out any guns fixed around the floors and platforms, and smash down some
more bricks as you progress further right. Stick to the ground floor as you
continue, but when you see a narrow space, immediately turn into Buzzsaw mode to
go through the crawlspace and get 4 extra lives along with some other power-ups.

Go along the corridor above wher the crawlspace is, eliminating the bug-
like monster with the use of your Lightning Whip. Continue up and then proceeed
left and up further, tackling the guns either one by one or using some of your
special weapons (specifically a mine in this case).

When you hit the top of the shaft, take out the patrolling guards with
your Lightning Whip, then head left. On the next platform that is above a gap,
use your Lightning Whip to reveal a hidden block. Farm it for all the goodies
you can find, then head left and up some more platforms.

Continue left after jumping up some platforms and going through a hole
in thew wall into an area with chains in the white background, and move left and
up along the UFO-shaped platforms (to hop onto the last one right before getting
out to the horizontal floor above, jump not from the next lowest platform, but
the second-next lowest), dealing with any enemies that come your way. At the
top, head right and go over the tiny block platforms to jump up into the next
room, then make use of more small block platforms and the small foothols on the
side of the walls to climb up the shaft.

Up top, after more blocks, head up the wider platforms, and go outside
to the left where there is a white background with more of the UFO-shaped
hoverpods. Continue scaling upwards, destroying any static guns fixed to the top
or underside of these pod-platforms, until you make it into another long strip
of land.

Destroy the box at the left end here, then head right into another large
chamber. Move to the centre of the room where all the blocks are, then jump up,
right and ascend the room making use of the small blocks (it should not be have
to be said that these are fairly tricky jumps with such tiny blocks. The author
had a ridiculously hard time with some of these jumps).

Hop off into a corridor entrance to the right wall when you get the
chance (it is likely guarded by one of the larger creatures). Head right and up
some more small platforms, blasting any enemies in the way. On the top floor of
this room to the left side before it gives way to more platforms, use your
Lightning Whip to locate a Hidden Block.

Destroy the secret block through further use of the Lightning Whip for
some last-minute goodies, then take the blocks up and right to some more solid
ground. Continue to scale up again to another higher corridor, then go left
through a hallway by blasting through multiple layers of brick blocks.

Once you get through the corridor, jump up to finish the penultimate
level.

[LEV10]

       TIME LIMIT: 300 seconds

Head right through the hallway, taking out any enemies in the way, then
loop around once you jump up to go left. Head up a long vertical shaft for
multiple goodies. When you complete your climb, use your Lightning Whip right
where you come out for a Hidden Block. Destroy it for multiple goodies.

Now, you will have a massive amount of blocks you need to cut through.
However, you cannot cut just any blocks - only certain blocks can be cut, and
the blocks that are cut will form a passageway of jumps and running that you can
take. When you are breaking blocks horizontally, use your gun, and then use your
Lightning Whip for vertical smashing.

Start by going left. After some time, you will move down, left again,
up, then right, zig-zag a bit, then head up finally into open space. Hop up a
last few platforms and jump over to the left side, take one last corridor, and
then you will take on the final boss, MORGUL.

When battling MORGUL, stay underneath the door-frame to the right. Due
to the existence of the platform next to the wall, MORGUL cannot move too far
right to contact damage with you. During most of the battle, MORGUL will smash
the ground, and occasionally spit out projectiles. Those projectiles are the
only things you need to worry about if they are diagonal, but other than you
will be home-free for most of the battle.

Whenever MORGUL stomps down, shoot a Grenade at it. Otherwise, use a
Lightning Whip. Sometimes, MORGUL will stomp down to the ground and stay there,
moving left and right. Keep your Lightning Whip honed on it, then use the
Buzzsaw whenever it gets too close. You have three uses of the Buzzsaw, so make
them count long enough to finally destroy MORGUL and finish this game for once
and for all.

Once you win, head left down the hallway for a short game-ending scene.

It should be noted by the author that for some weird reason only the
developers know, there also needs to be a precise timing to get this code to
actually _activate_. For the life of him, the author cannot really get this
timing down, only getting it to activate twice. The precise timing is about
moderately fast, not quite a frenzied pace.

You can tell you activated it if you press the Start button upon
starting the game and, upon pressing Select, you get the level-start/end
background effect.

Other than that, considering this FAQ is for an obscure old game, if you
have any other obscure old games that you do not play anymore, consider sending
them to me (I will even pay the shipping cost!). I write FAQs for plenty of
obscure old games with no FAQs, and having a physical copy of the game (and even
better, a manual) is superior to not. You can email me if interested at
