1. INTRODUCTION
Doki Doki Penguin Land is a game where you, a penguin, push an egg down the
board to the living room at the bottom. But you can't drop the egg too far at
once, and you can't drop it into somewhere it can't get out of. If it is
immobile and you drop on it, it breaks. There are enemies too who get in your
way. You need to shift blocks and dig other blocks to make the right way to
drop your bricks down.
With 25 levels and fairly quick play, this is a neat game to go through but
nothing special. The sequel, found on the SMS, has twice as many levels and
even more weird physical rules. And it takes MUCH longer. And unlike Doki
Doki Penguin Land, you usually won't run into an unexpected dead end 10 rows
down. You also have 50 rows to navigate instead of 35. You also can only push
an egg onto one of the 16-wide squares, because it really is oblong, while on
the SG-1000 version you can nudge it slightly one direction.
One problem with the game is that the more involved puzzles leave nothing for
the rest of the level, but on the other hand longer and longer levels would
be very excruciating. Still it's an interesting experience although the egg
is a bit too wobbly some times, and having the mother penguin lose only when
the egg bursts is a nice pretense for a cool game.
Note that currently the SG-1000 ROM floating on the 'net is corrupt. Levels
12, 13, 22, 23 and 24 do not work. You can edit this ROM to parallel the MSX
ROM, or you can just use the MSX version. I am assuming that since 20 of 25
levels have the same maps between ports, so are the other 5. The controls are
very similar.
If you should wish to make a proper SG-1000 ROM with the missing levels, copy
the 7200(x1c20) bytes after offset 0x3e1a on the MSX to the SG1000, starting
at 0x3d63, but keep everything else identical.
I use some terminology here which I hope is intuitive, but we might as well
check it out. When I say 2-1 dig, that means dig 2 squares on 1 level, drop
down and dig 1 below that. A 3-pit means a pit 3 squares wide, and a 4-3-2
cavern means a cavern with 4 squares on the bottom, then 3 above then 2 on
top.
2. CONTROLS AND SCORING
Moving down and up gives no effect.
Moving left and right works as planned, though you start slow at first and
achieve terminal velocity quickly. Going left-right you can also push
boulders. You can tap an egg slowly to one side as well. Basically, you run
past an egg you just dug to kick it back towards yourself and you tiptoe
towards it to continue pushing it a certain way. Also, if you push an egg for
several squares, it gains momentum and can flop over a gap. You can reverse
an egg you are rolling by jumping on it.
Button 1 jumps, button 2 digs in the direction you face. You can only dig
whole units so you may move left/right. Jumping over an egg and returning it
to the other side is necessary to win. You can twist in the air, and you can
jump up three units and land on a platform above. If there is a ceiling, you
can push a boulder just below it over to one side. Jumping also follows
horizontal momentum rules, and you can even bounce off walls.
Jumping can loosen boulders above, which can be good or bad.
10 points for each hole dug
100 points for each heart
200 points for white bear you drop something on
100 points for mashing from the side
x000+random(?) bonus points for completing a level(x=1+(level/5))
500=cherry
1000=beer
2000=ring
3000=cake
5000=cross

I think the bonus has to do with where you drop the egg finally and how close
the wife is, or maybe how many hearts you get and enemies you kill. There are
so many factors. I didn't check them all.
3. STRATEGIES
There are a lot of general do's and don'ts that govern what sort of general
risks you want to take in Penguin Land.
First let's catalog the ways an egg can get killed.
--it drops on a white bear, or a white bear forces it into a corner
--it drops more than 3 squares down. If it drops and rolls and drops again,
that is a separate instance.
--you or a bear lands on it in a 1-wide pit
--a block you pushed/tapped lands on it
--a ferret appears and slowly makes its way to the egg. Sometimes it appears
in the egg, and you'll see a grey blob around.
--You drop an egg from above the bottom row into the living room
Next let's look at the enemies. They usually stand under your egg unless you
are in the vicinity. Then they run after you. Greys are more aggressive for
the egg than whites. If a bear lands on an egg or pushes it into a corner he
will crush it. Ferrets appear if you dawdle and try to fall to get to the
egg, but it's possible there's no way there. Enemies remain harmless for
slightly longer than they stun you, giving you a window, and you can often
get them to whiff or even push an egg so that you can run past them as they
celebrate.
--remember the egg can only drop down 3 squares. You don't get a break if one
of them is an egg chute.
--If you drop an egg down a chute and wish to push it one way afterwards, tap
and fall off the edge to continue as you were, or fall on the other side to
move the egg the other way.
--don't push an egg into a corner with no roof. It can get trapped.
--if you must, you can stun an enemy with an egg
--if you drop an egg down quickly you can outrun enemies
--you can go back up top once the egg drops down a bit to get old hearts.
--if you drop an egg into a well, make sure there is a way out. You can drop
it into a 1-wide pit if there is a boulder to either side.
--to drop a boulder, stand on it and dig if necessary then dig to one side of
it.
--if you can't jump back over a hole, dig down the screen and reappear at the
top. The only exception is at level's end, when you see half of the bottom
boundary. Then you can't dig that. I don't know why.
--Take the time to slam a boulder into a pesky enemy, or to bait an enemy and
kick a boulder from below.
--don't wait around too long or a ferret may appear right next to your egg,
or even inside. Fortunately they are slow so they will catch up to you.
--jump up then steer later to avoid boulders falling on you and stunning you.
--you can "suicide" by letting a boulder lie on you if it wipes out an enemy
you can't get past.
--push a boulder up against the edge and drop it when the monster is under
you. You and boulders are much faster than monsters.
--drop an egg while it is on a boulder if digging through a floor is 1 unit
too low. If you need another unit, push a boulder under IT.
--you can peek ahead a bit with a relatively harmless dig. Sometimes a weird
looking dig can save you.

--if you know you're trapped, try to dig the egg down as far as possible to
see as much of the board for next time.
--sometimes you'll have to guess which way to dig a boulder, but with the
maps below(or the first glance at a level) it should be easier. Basically
remember that if you want to dig a boulder through X levels then you will
need 1 hole at the bottom and X holes at the top--adding one for and spare
holes that come up. For instance,

Also boulders can help you dig everything to each side.

Here you can dig everything in the order indicated and push the boulder to
either side.
On a related note, if you need to dig ahead to dig down twice, bhe sure not
to have 2 holes right beneath each other for a big long fall. Also, be sure
you reach the very bottom with the egg, the ceiling of the living room,
before the final drop, or SPLAT.
--usually you can push a boulder down a chute with little loss, but sometimes
you need to save it to plug a hole. Remember that the egg's position
determines what part of the board you can see, and it can determine when you
make something fall off.
--if you have an obvious way down with an egg, take it so you can see more of
the board.
--remember not to be overwhelmed by possibilities. If there is a big long
puzzle with a big long dead end, remember the way down the other side is
probably right, and long dead ends also preclude other puzzles.

Dig right, jump on the egg, push it right and drop it through the yellow. Dig
the block. You don't need to hit the bear but it is nice. Drop the egg right
and dig it right. Move it left, jump up and dig right. Jump over and knock
the boulder at the top to bring down on the grey, which you can push right
later. If the enemy is to the left, push left, get on the block and dig left,
and push it right. 2-1 dig to get the heart and then drop the egg through the
yellow. Jump over the block and lean back right to get left of the egg. Jump
over it and push the block on the bear. Push the egg left and it will roll
right. Then push it back left and dig the block under it.
Jump over the egg and push one block right, then come back and push the other
right to make a bridge to the right. Dig the egg on the heart, drop down and
dig the egg again. Dig the boulder down to bash the bear--or just clear a
path to the left to dig the egg some more and watch it drop. After it drops
to the left the second time, roll it right and dig it right. Drop on it and
dig again. It will appear in the living room.

A bit more shuffling is necessary here. You need to squash the bear in the
pit to really get anywhere.
Dig right, fall left and now complete stuff on the left before dropping the
egg, or the monster will come after it. Push the top boulder right and dig
left and push the outher boulder right. Dig each side of it then push right,
then dig over the bear then dig 1L of the right block. Push the right block
right on the bear. Push the egg left and now take care of the next bottom
bit. Dig 1L 1R on the block, which you should then push right. Dig right
below that, fall right, go left on the top and fall and move back right.
Bounce the egg right and it will flop everywhere and be safe in the DR.
Push the egg left all the way. Fall on it and droop it right. Get the heart
and jump over the one boulder. Dig the egg right until you can push it right.
Do so, then push it left 'til you can't. It's at the left edge, so dig it
right. Dig it again and it will roll home.

Dig the egg right twice. Get the heart if you want. Dig the egg against the
right edge, then dig the boulder left of the egg when the bear is 1 away from
it. Kick the egg left and dig left and drop it left so you can drop it down
the chute. Jump left-ish and get the heart and push the block right. Roll the
egg right then left down the chute.
Tiptoe left and then go right as you drop to push the egg left. 2-1 dig,
making the egg fall with it, then dig the enemy out of the way and 2-1 dig
the egg to one of the platforms with two boulders. Drop it back towards the
center. If you're on the right, tiptoe left and go right.
Drop the boulder, on the monster if you can, and collect the heart and drop
the egg in.

Push the egg to the right and dig it down. Get the heart below and crush the
enemy if you want. Dig the egg right and the left boulder. Drop down and push
the boulder into the enemy. Go back up and drop the egg through. Drop the
boulder on the left onto the bear below. Dig the egg to the right edge, on a
column of two blocks. Fall left. Dig 1L ofthe block and push it into the pit.
Get the heart if you want. Jump up to the egg and steer right so it bounces
off you and left. Run left and dig it left. Fall left and dig it right, then
fall right and push it left. Fall left and push it right when at the two
boulders. Drop a boulder onto the grey guy and push the boulder left. Drop
the egg left and right.
Now unless the grey guy falls off, go to the top and push the block right,
dig 1U1L of it and 1R of it and push it right. Dig the egg right. Fall on it
to its left. dog it over the boulder to the right. Push the boulder right and
dig left.

Push the egg left. Dig it. Push one block right. Drop the block right and
jump on it and back UL. Push the egg right of the blocks and dig. Drop and
dig it again. 2-1 dig it then circle left and dig the block under it. Drop
and kick it left, dig left and drop it left. Drop it left through the hole.
If you want you can sneak in for the heart but it is risky. Go U L D R to get
back to the egg. Dig it again.
Kick the egg to the left. Dig right and then drop the block on the enemy when
it is going back right. Dig 1R of the solid bits and 2D of that and get the
heart in the pit before bumping the boulder and dropping it in there. Drop
the egg R L. Stand on the boulder 2U2R and dig L R and drop it right. Drop it
right to crusnh a grey guy.
Drop down the DR and push the egg R into a 1-hole. Dig 1L of the egg, then
dig right when in the (now) 2-hole and push the egg left and dig left.

Leave the egg on top first. Dig the right edge, then between the boulders,
push one left and dig right and drop it down. At the top push the egg
right/left/right. Dig left to push the boulder into the bear. Dig the egg
left then push it left and run over the egg chute and dig the egg 2L of it
then roll it left. Push the egg right after it 3-falls. Dig right when it is
on the right of the 3-platform.
Push the egg to the left, dig roght and push the block into the bear. Dig the
left edge and get the heart, and now drop the egg R L R and down the right
edge. Push the egg L of the boulder that's 2D, Drop the boulder left and run
it right into thebear. Drop the egg R R L. Dig it over the 2-column of bricks
and drop it right. Get the heart and drop the egg right and dig it.

Dig the egg, dig it into the 2-hole, dig the other square above it, and dig
the eg left twice to get it out. Push the egg over the egg chute but don't
drop it. Drop both boulders down the chute 3L of the egg. Push the top one
right and dig right when on it, push right and dig left(2L of the right edge
of the lowest platform) when you fall left to get to the top--before doing
so, use the boulder at the top to kill the grey guy so the egg is in less
risk. Then drop the egg down.
Drop the egg L R L and now jump over the white bear and lean right on the
right edge and fall left. Jump up and upsh the one block left, then underkick
the other and push it left. Drop down the left side for the heart and drop on
the egg to dig it right. 1L dig right and fall and dig right so the egg is 1L
of the center chute, then drop it 1R. Drop the egg right again and keep doing
so, digging when necessary before you can dig it into the house.

Dig the egg on the boulder, then drop left on it and dig right and left. Drop
right and push the boulder left. 2-1 dig. Drop on the egg to push it left and
the block right. Underkick one block to waste the bear below. Let him come to
you and drop the block on him. Then dig 1L of the block and drop it left. Be
on the right of the grey guy when you do this. 3-1 dig on the right as well
so that you can drop the egg left 3 times.
Dig right under the egg twice so it goes in the 7-wide below. Get the heart
and kick the egg over the egg chute. Drop it in. Then circle over the right
side and 2-1 dig the egg from the right. Push the egg L of it left and now
the egg can go left to the edge. Dig it and drop it right. Left, right, and
dig and you win.

Dig the egg and stand over the boulder to dig it on the bear. Dig 1R of it
and push it left, but when it's 1/2 way over, make a hole for it to the right
afer pushing the egg left. Drop the boulder in the hole and crush the grey
bear on the left edge, then dig your way to the right and dig the egg onto
the boulder. Drop it through the egg hole.
Drop the egg over the heart and underkick the boulder and push it right. Push
the egg right twice. Dig UL, L of the heart to get it. Dig the egg into the
2-3 chamber then get the heart, dig left and 2-1 dig, making sure the grey
bear is dug to the left. Push the block right. Dig in the center to cycle on
the top and 2-1 dig, pushing the egg left as you drop. Push it left twice
more, over a diggable. Then push a red block below(dig to the right) into the
bear. Push the other block right and a block on the bottom right. Now jump up
and dig the egg and push the egg left. Drop and dig it right.

Drop the egg above the egg chute. 2-1 dig to the left of the boulder and left
dig. Then push the boulder left down the hole then right. Now you can jump up
and push the egg left. Push it right of center and dig down the center. Use
the bottom block to bump off the bear to the right, then drop the egg 1R of
the center and drop it left again. Dig it right twice.
Get the heart. Push the boulder 2R and crush the bear pushing left. Push the
egg right then left and dig over it in the center, then dig it R and 1L of
the boulder below. Dig the boulder and push it right to crush an enemy. But
don't let it fall.
Push the egg right, then 2L and dig down. Get the heart if you want, but be
sure to dig the egg from the left so you don't have a tricky jump back. Now
you can push one boulder left down the chute and the next R L. Then push
another boulder left to make a 3-up so you can push the egg in. It's trapped
for the moment but push the block below it to the right and now you can
underkick the one boulder when the bear is above. Underkick the other two
boulders so the egg falls to you, then dig it.

3-2-1 dig the egg and push it right, and 2-1 dig at the right edge and then
push the egg left. Now you should be able to dig left and tempt the bear left
but you can suicide under a block. to kill him for sure. Drop the egg down
right and now 3-2-1 dig above the grey guy's chamber to drop the right block
on him. Once that's done, 2-1 dig your way out of there, digging the egg
right. You can suicide jump into the boulder to kill the bear on the right if
you want. 3-2-1 dig over the boulder in the center and drop the egg in.
Underkick it and push it left.
Now dig U UL of the block and drop it down. Dig left and push it right, etc.
until it drops on something. Cycle down and dig 8-7 and dig 1L 4R of the
boulder below to push the egg left. 2-1 dig and drop the egg down the chute.
Go right, 2-1 dig and push the eg left. Dig L 2R R of the boulder.
Dig 2RD of the boulder and push it onto the white bear. Dig next to it and 2-
1 dig to the left so you can push the egg R R L L without it breaking and win
the level.

The SG1000 ROM is faulty here and it seems dropping the egg down the right
then a 4-2 dig and goading the grey guy and dumping the block on him is the
way to start. Dig right on it and drop the boulder down from below, then push
the egg left. Push it right and go to the right edge and dig it left.
Push the block on he left left and right to zap the enemy, then push the egg
left and right. Drop it 2D a bit until you are level with the eggchute. Push
the boulder left all the way and now dig the egg so it goes below the heart.
Dig left on the upper boulder and push it 2R on the other, then 2-1 dig so
that you can push the lower boulder left. Push it left and drop it twice and
repeat with the other boulder. Drop the eg left and right over the boulder,
then dig the boulder under it and dig 1L of that so you can drop it left and
push it right.
Kick the boulder under it and push it left and jump over it. Roll the grey to
the left and the white below right. Drop the egg through the chute and then
dig it down for the win.

Drop the egg down 1R of the left edge, then push it left and bring it back
right and drop it when it is on the boulder to the right. Push right off the
edge. Then push the eggright and dig it right into the 2-3-4 chamber on the
right. Dig 1R on the boulder to the left and use it to crush the grey bear.
Push the egg onto the chute, then dig and fall and dig in the 2-cave to get
the heart. Push the block at the bottom right. Drop the egg in. Push it left
so you can dig the boulder and push it left off the edge. Knock the egg down.
2-1 dig left of the pit and drop the egg in to the left. Dig left at the edge
and 2-1 dig to get it in the 5-pit. Now move quickly--dig the egg right and
then drop left on it so you can push it left onto the chute. You can push the
left block off the left edge to kill the white bear. Then stand left of the
grey guy and dig a hole for him so he falls in.
You may have to go up and to the right and back down to be able to push the
egg in.

Dig the egg left. Dig right as wel so you can move the egg and the enemy
can't get it as easily. To its left, drop down and push the block right over
the grey guy, then push the block left of IT below the chute 2L. (You need to
jump-push.) Then drop a block on it and the egg on the block.
Below dig L of the boulder and drop it right. Drop the egg left and dig it
right. Drop the egg to the right edge then dig 1L of the left boulder and dig
1L of the center one and drop the boulder right onto the enemy. Push the
boulder right and drop the egg left. Drop the boulder left and if it doesn't
hit the bear, bring the egg a bit over and dig L of the boulder to the left.
Push it right, dig left and push it right. Bring the egg down too. The bear
will come over.
You should be able to dig the boulder on the right out and push it right.
Then drop the egg through the egg chute. Push the boulder below it right. Dig
it into the chamber below and 2-1 dig. Push the boulder onto the white bear,
2-1 dig down the right and dig L of the boulder you pushed and push it left.
Drop the egg and push it left. Underkick a boulder and push it under, then
drop the egg L R R.

Dig left, crush the bear from the left and push the egg left. Drop it, push
it left and quickly kick the egg R L R so it lands on the R of the solid
stuff. When you push right the enemy above disappears. Push the egg right.
Dig R L of the boulder beow the solid bit then after you push it riht, dig
1U1L of it and push it right. Dig the boulder to the left.
2-1 dig to the bear's lair and then suicide bash the block on the right. Dig
the egg down to the 4-wide. Push it left. Dig right and push the block 3L.
Dig to the bottom, recycle at the top and dig left. Drop the egg right after
it falls and push the block 2L. Jump to shake the white bear. Dig left into
the heart chamber, push the egg in, dig left and drop and dig left. Drop and

Dig left and push the block against the bear. Take out the guy below with
another block. Then push the egg left and right. Dig to drop in the 3-5
chamber and dig the right square for the egg to fall. Push the 3 blocks left
to near the edge, but keep them apart so after you drop the egg left you can
drop the boulders left.
Push the egg left and right near the edge. Kick the boulder down and dig left
on it, push right and dig right. Clear the white bear with the boulder and
push the egg right. Drop it over the 2-platform and right and left.
Dig the egg left and roll it down the stairs twice. Dig left on the egg
chute, drop left, dig left and then jump on the egg and dig right, then drop
right and dig right, then push the egg left and whichever way and dig it into
the living room.

4-3-1 dig over the boulder. Drop the egg 2L and jump over it and drop the
boulder left and the egg on it. Push the boulder left and 2-1 dig the
eggright. Push it to the left edge and dig right and wipe out the grey
monster. Push the other boulder right too, that falls behind you.
Roll the egg all the way right and dig it. Drop on it and dig it and drop on
it again. It will fall on the heart. Roll the egg left and dig it when the
grey guy turns. Then fall and drop it through the chute and dig right and
fall. Jump under the boulder holding the egg and push it right. Dig 1U1L and
1U1R of it, then 1R. Roll the egg down and drop it through the 1-tall caves
to the living room.

Dig R on the leftmost block and push it left, dig R again and take the bear
out of commission. Then push the top left one R after digging R and you can
drop the egg L twice. Dig right to push the block right and then the egg can
sneak back right. Dig it.
2-1 dig and squash the white guy with the boulder. Drop the egg left. 3-2-1
dig it then push it right and dig right. Push the boulder right into the gap.
Push the egg right and drop it on the solitary brick. Drop it R L. Then dig
left so you can drop the block on the white bear. Drop the egg R R. Near the
edge, dig it right. Push it left into the hole. Dig 1R of it and push the egg

Dig the egg and then run under the left block and suicide jump to get the
bear. Push the egg left. 4-3-2-1 dig down the right. Drop down the DR and
push the block left to take out the white bear. Dig the egg over the center
of the cluster below. Push it 1R and push the left block left. Dig each side
of the one 2R of it and push the leftmost 1L and the next one 1L. Dig right
and now you can drop the boulder onto the white guy.
Dig/drop the egg through to the egg chute and send it down, then drop it
left(hook around the left to get down) and dig R and fall right and dig R to
trap the grey guy.
Now you can roll the egg R L to the right edge and push the boulder into the
enemy, then push the UR boulder right and dig your way so that you can push
your boulder right onto the white bear. Then you can just roll/dig the egg to
the right to win.

Dig the egg onto the boulders. Dig 1L and push a boulder right, then the egg.
Then push the bottom boulder right into the grey monster and kick the one
boulder below the egg left and the other right. The egg will flip out. Jump
up for the heart and dig left on the boulder, then push it left to crush the
enemy. Then dig 1R of the block and push it right. Dig R and push the block
right and now 2-1 dig the egg down the left edge. Push the block into the
grey guy and jump carefully against the wall to push the egg right.
Dig 1U1L 1L 1U2R 2R and everything in between of the left enclosed boulder.
Push it 1R, dig 1L. Drop the egg in the gap and jump over it. Dig 1R of it
and push the egg 2R and drop the block left when the bear goes that way. You
may need to wait or jump leftish a bit.
Dig right of the egg and dig left at the edge. Drop it left 2x. Drop it right
and dig right when above the boulder 2D of you. Dig right and drop on the
egg. Digg the egg through and jump over and go to the right edge. Go left and
jump under the boulder and push it right to the center. Jump back up and push
the egg left to the bottom. Dig.

Dig the 3 squares left of the egg. Drop it through. Dig 2L and 2LD of the egg
chute. Now a tricky jump over the egg so you can 2-1 dig it down. Stand at
the right edge of the column and jump over. Then be sure to drop the egg
left after. Drop on it when it's safe to go down the main chute and dig the
egg right. Push left into the white bear. Dig 3LD of the egg so you can push
the boulder there and the egg can go over it. Dig the boulder in the DL
before you roll the egg left, though. You may get crushed by a boulder but oh
well. Jump over the top to get to the left edge to move the boulder at the
bottom back right.
Now for the center bit, put the egg in the left corner. Dig 1R of the lowest
boulder then underkick it and drop it in. Then jump on the boulder UL(you can
kick a boulder down) and dig left and push it right down the gap. Now the egg
can drop safely.
Push the egg to the left corner again and 2L/1R dig from the boulder. Dig
1L1D of it and push it left and nto the corner. Drop the egg in, but don't
drop it down the chute. Push the two blocks right a bit so you can dig the 2L
squares. Dig left of the boulder and push it right to kill the white guy.
Then 3-2-1 dig over the red boulder below.
Drop the egg right then left. Now you can pick off a boulder from above.
Underkick it and dig left on it and drop it R L and bring the next boulder
down the same way. Drop the egg L R. Drop left of the egg and dig it right
twice. There you go.

You can almost get through this level on the SG1000.
Dig the egg down and go left and dig the boulder over the grey guy if you
want. But 2-1 dig next to the heart and dig down to get on with it. Drop
right of the egg and 3-2-1 dig the left edge so that the egg is on a 2-shelft
and dig it again. Push it left to the left egg chute. Dig the left block then
go across the right and underkick a block when you fall right, then fly left.
Dig each side of the boulder and push it right and dig left. Now you can push
the egg down some more.
Now it looks like you can dig the egg down the left side. You may need to use
a boulder to take out the white and grey before the egg falls down. 3-2-1 dig
above the boulder in the dead end, then push it right. You can now 2-1 dig to
the bottom and then dig the egg to win.

2-1 dig so the egg falls 3L of the right and push R R L L so it lands on a
boulder. Drop to its right so it goes left, then push it left and right. Drop
the egg left and then push the block DL to the right. Dig below the egg and
tip it left. Dig 2L L of the block below it then push the egg right and dig
and drop leftish of the egg. Drop the egg in the hole and dig L 2L of it.
Then dlg the eg out and push right over the boulder. Drop it on the bear and
push it right then left. Drop it on the other bear if you can.
Either way, bring the egg back right--you will have to circle left around it.
Dig when it is over the boulder. Try to leave the egg to the right and kill
the bear with the boulder, but if that doesn't work the you can put the egg
on a boulder, dig and fall left. The bear will push you and the egg right.
Move and dig left. The ebar will fall next to the boulder. Fall into his pit
and jump right out--he won't get you. Then dig left of the boulder and push
it right. Climb on the boulder, dig right and push it right. Crush the white
bear.
Fall onto the boulder, dig left and push the boulder 1R and dig left. Push
the boulder left. Dig the egg and 2-1 dig on the right to send it to the
bottom.

Dig the egg right, push it left and leave it 1R of the left boulder. Dig 1L
of the right. Now go back to the right and dig right. Let the bear come at
you, jump up and go left quickly. Dig the boulder and drop it on the bear.
Dig the egg R L and drop it through the chute. Jump left and let the bear
kick the egg down. Land on the egg from the left and push it on the grey guy
below, then quickly roll it R L L.
Drop a block on the white bear below and dig left, push the block right and
dig left. Roll the egg left twice. Drop the left block off after digging 1R
of it. Push the block below the egg right and left. Drop the block to the
right down 2. Dig each way and push the block right into the wall. Now drop

This is the last one, so of course it's tough. 2-1 dig down the left after
you jump over the egg. Push the block onto the white guy. 3-2-1 dig on the
right so you can goad the grey guy over into the hole you dug. Now kick the
egg left to the orner. Dig 1L of the block and push it left. Drop right of it
as you roll the egg and dig it right. Drop on it from the left.
Roll the egg on the boulder and dig the boulder. Push the boulder right. Dig
left so the egg drops safely. Roll it into the dead end pit. Push the block
2R and dig 2U1L of the heart, 2L on the next ledge down and R. Bring the egg
with you for a bit and dig right, then roll the egg left. 2-1 dig down the
left edge and then dig right and land right of it and dig left. Push left
again. On the top, 2-2-2-1 dig. Push the egg 1R to avoid the bad guy.
Dig 2D of the left of the two joined boulders and drop it down to kill the
bear, then drop the other one down. Dig your way out, preferably making the
bottom dig in the center so you can get to the left easier. Now you just have
to push the UL block right and then you can walk the egg over.
You don't get anything special for winning ohther than getting kicked back to
level 1.
