2.DESCRIPTION
MNSG is an overhead shooter type,  You can play as Goemon (the hero), Sasuke (the robot ninja)
or Ebisumaru (the fat guy). I suggest Sasuke, because his jumping ability
is the best. You can jump and attack, as in most games.
All of the characters have two kinds of weapons; your main weapon and a
shuriken. You can toggle between them with SELECT button. You begin
with 10 shuriken; you can pick them up in boxes or at stores. When you
have full life, you will fire shuriken automatically from your main
weapon. These are unlimited and are more powerful than regular shuriken.
You have one life only; when you die the game ends and it returns to the
title screen. You can find two kinds of buildings: inns and shops. Shops contain
three items: rice balls (10c), which recover one mark on the life gauge, ST
tablets (100c), which completly recover your life gauge, and a pack of
5 shuriken (20c). The inn completely refills your health for 20c. In boxes,
on the road, you can find 20-40 coins, sets of 5 shuriken, and Crystals
of Life, which give you one extra health mark. All of the stages have
a boss (sometimes more than one) in them, and they are always followed
by a ridiculus minigame which you must beat to complete the stage.
By pressing start, you will bring up the stage map, the area name, and
the CLEAR ITEM box. As you go, you will clear more of the map so you
can keep track of your location. Stage 1, 2, and 3 require you to get an
item to clear the level, and the CLEAR ITEM box keeps track of these items.

3.STORY
The Black Ship Gang has been thieving Japan, terrorizing the villages,
AND they've captured the Yae! It's up to you to stop them!!!

4.THE WALKTHROUGH
Notes: I will explain every room right up until you get to the interior
of the castle of stage one. If you're confused as to what I'm talking
about, where it says EAST, NORTH, SOUTH, or WEST, it's describing the
direction from the last room. Just for the record, East = Right,
West = Left, North = Up, South = Down.]

STAGE 1
Beginning Joka Town 1: Not much here. Get the box at the bottom
of the screen for 30 coins.
EAST: Take out the sword ninjas from behind the tree roots. Cross
the bridge, but DO NOT touch the water. This will take out one point
of life from your character and send you back to the beginning.
EAST:The spiny turtles take 2 hits each. They move slow, so you
 can easily kill them.
NORTH: UGH! I hate these guys. Jump over their projectiles,
and don't even try to kill them. Go north first.
NORTH: Talk to the 2 people and go east.
EAST: There's nothing to hide behind here, and these guys can move
anywhere. You can kill them or jump over them. Go east.
EAST: Talk to the woman and go east again.
EAST: Jump CAREFULLY across the stones and open the box for 20 coins.
Go back to the room with the three walking ninjas, then go south from
 there.
SOUTH: Slash at the fireballs when they get close. They will follow you
everywhere, so be careful if you decide to jump them.
EAST: Carefully cross the stones and open the box for 30 coins. Go
back to the room with the fireballs and go south.
SOUTH: The best thing to do here is leave these guys alone. When you
hit them, they fly apart into four smaller versions of themselves, which
are very hard to avoid. Go south.
SOUTH: More walking ninjas. Take care of them and then go east.
EAST: ANOTHER Trio of disappearing ninjas. By now, you should have
the hang of jumping them. Go north.
NORTH: A large tree and a hole with some stairs. Go down.

Underground 1:
Beginning: Nothing here. Go north.
NORTH: Fight the three turtles. The black spaces in the middle are
holes, and have the same effect as water. DO NOT touch them!! Go north.
NORTH: DON'T fall into the big hole and fight the turtles if you
want. Go east for the time being.
EAST: The bats are similar to the fireballs, only they are more erratic
and do not follow you around. If they get close to you, slash them, but
otherwise leave them alone. Go east.
EAST: Open the box for five shuriken. Don't fall in the hole, and go north.
NORTH: Carefully cross the pits for 30 coins in the box. Go back to
the room with the large hole and the two turtles. Go north from there.
NORTH: Treat the fireballs the same way you did before. Go west.
 WEST: More bats. Go north.
NORTH: If you want 30 coins, cross the top gap and take the box there.
 After that, go west.
WEST: Go to the bottom of the room and take out the fireballs there.
 Continue to the east.
EAST: Jump over the ninja's shuriken without jumping down the pit. Go
 north.
NORTH: Don't risk your life by jumping over the pits; continue east
 instead.
EAST: Avoid/kill the turtles and go south.
SOUTH: If you can't figure out what to do here, put down the GameBoy
and get out of the house.

Joka Town 2
Beginning: Start by going west out of the little garden.
WEST: Talk to the civilian and continue west.
 WEST: Keep going west.
WEST: Open the box for 30 more coins and go south.
SOUTH: Kill or jump the walking ninjas and continue to the next screen.
EAST: Talk to the old man for some info, then keep going.
SOUTH: Let's play...JUMP THE SHURIKEN!! Keep going...
WEST: If your life gauge is low and you don't think you can wait for
the inn, buy the 100c tablet at the store. IF you think you can wait,
don't even bother stopping there. Go south.
 SOUTH: Jump past the shuriken.
SOUTH: Get 30 more coins in the box.
 EAST: Avoid the walking ninja.
NORTH: (PHEW) Open the box for 30 more coins. Go back the the room that
has the store, then go west.
 WEST: More turtles. North.
 NORTH: Yay, another cave.

Underground 2
beginning: Carefully jump the pits to the south exit.
 SOUTH: Fireballs.
 SOUTH: Turtles.
 EAST: More turtles.
EAST: Some downright frustrating shuriken ninjas.
NORTH: A group of bats in this room. Watch out for the big hole. Go north
 now.
 NORTH: More turtles; go east.
EAST: Some shuriken in that box, oh goody.
SOUTH: If you listen to one thing I say, listen to this. Talk to the
guy in the corner of the room and beat his little minigame. If you
don't get the item from him, you can't beat the stage. The trick to
winning is to shoot the arrow before the number goes across, because
the arrows are quite slow. Go back two rooms, then go west.
WEST: Get the Crystal of Life in this box, then go back to the room
with the bats and go east this time.
EAST: Open the box for 5 shuriken.
SOUTH: OOOH how I hate those bats. Go south.
SOUTH: More dreadful bats. I took care of them with shuriken.
EAST: Some turtles and a pit. North.
NORTH: FINALLY, the exit. Go. Carefully, one slip and its to the
 beginning you go.

Joke Town 3
Beginning: Hmm... looks familiar...
 WEST: Another weirdo townsperson. West.
WEST: This box has 5 shuriken. Take it or leave it.
SOUTH: "The Black Ship Gang... I love sweet beans by the way..."
 Whatever. Go west.
 WEST: Go south from here.
SOUTH: This box has 40 coins rather than the usual 30, so take it
if you want. Go back up one, then go north.
NORTH: Jump the nasty shuriken then go all the way to the end of the
line westward. Go the inn and pay 20c for a complete regeneration,
then go back the room with the shuriken ninjas and go north from there.
Note: You can tell which door is the inn because it has some Japanese
 characters above it.
SUMO BOSS: This guy is a pushover if you have full life. Approach him
from the side and pump shuriken into him (the unlimited kind). If he
stops and puts up his hands, he's going to dash forward. If he opens
his mouth, he'll spit a missile out of it. If you DON'T have full life,
use hit-and-run techniques. Run in and slash him when he gets close,
but then dodge out of the way. When he stops to dash or fire a missile,
hit him several times. Watch out; if he touches you, it will take off
two points of life. Be on your guard all the time. Go north and make
sure you have the bamboo stick.

Castle Interior 1: Go north, then take the box with 5 shuriken. The next room
has fireballs, as does the next one after that. This time, you should
fight the two blobs. Try to kill as many small blobs as possible with
one slash, then continue south. There are no separate paths here, so I
won't explain each room. All of them have enemies you've encountered
before, just try to go through as quickly as possible without losing too
much life. Make sure you don't miss the box with 20 coins, and don't
 fall down any holes!

Castle Interior 2: Go north, and watch out for more disappearing ninjas,
and be REAAALLLY careful. This part has close walls and tricky enemies.
Keep going and fight as little as possible. Use shuriken when needed,
and get all the boxes along the way.

Castle Interior 3: Hey, change of scenery. Continue the obvious ways until
you get to a divide. Go west at this divide and continue until you find
the box. This box contains the legendary KUNAI, the frozen daggers!!
(for Sasuke, at least) Go back to the divide spot. Go north this time, till
 you reach the next staircase.

Castle Interior 4: Go until you get to another divide, then go up to find
20 coins. Now go east until you find ANOTHER divide. Go right if you
need shuriken, because it leads to a box of them. If not, continue up-
 wards.
ROCKET BOSS: You must be reeaaallly careful around this thing. At first,
it moves slowly. Get up to it and use your close-range weapon to hit
it. Once it changes to second form, it will dash you. When it dashes,
jump over it, then turn and slash. If you have low life, use shuriken.
With the third form, it will follow you close behind. Use the same tech-
neque as the second form. Jump, turn, slash.
PIRATE RACE:  What cheapness!! After all that time beating that crap
rocket boss, you have to race a pirate?? Here is my suggestion: refer
to the password section at the end of this FAQ and SKIP THIS PART!
Unless you have really fast fingers, you probably won't be able to
beat this guy. You must hit the A-button as fast as you can and reach
the line with the G before he does.

STAGE 2: DEMON CAVE
Yosute Town 1: Man, this place looks like it's been hit by Godzilla or
something! Keep going east and get the box with 20 coins at the end
of the road. Don't be scared of the Skeleton Ninjas, they're just
like the basic foot soldiers of level 1. Once you get the box, take
the northern road. Go until the room with the little cloud-looking things.
After a minute's examination, you'll find that these are in fact moles,
and you can only hurt then when they pop their heads above ground. The
eastern way from here will only lead you to a person that will tell
you about a man that has a bomb that will blow up a cave wall, so there's
no reason to go that way...go north. When you find another divide, continue
eastward for a box of 5 shuriken. Then go south from the last divide
to the exit from the area.

Anthill 1: Well, that's a new one. Giant ants! In the second room, don't
bypass the town elder; he'll give you the bomb needed to clear the level
for free! No minigames! WOOHOO! Next room, exit. Short cave!

Yosuke Town 2: The enemies have been pushovers so far, and you should
have full life. Stop at the inn for a recharge if you need to, but
it probably won't be necessary. When you get to the three-way divide,
go west for 40 coins, and go east for a store. Once you're done there,
go south from the divide. Make sure you pick up the box of 5 shuriken
 on the way out.

Anthill 2: You'll find some mummies in this cavern, but don't worry. If
you have full life, they're easy. They move slowly and take three hits
from your weapon. On the first divide, go right for a Crystal of Life
if you need an extra life bar refill, then go north from the divide. On
the way through, pick up the two boxes. Be careful, a boss is coming up.

QUEEN ANT BOSS: Easy. You should have full life. Pump it full of your
unlimited shuriken, which will slow it down substantially until it
dashes at you. If it does, dodge. Even if it does hit you, you should
be able to kill it in no time.

Demon Cave 1:  In the first divide, the eastern way is a dead end, so
go north. Second divide, north leads to a couple boxes and one that has
a Crystal of Life in it! After that, go back to the second divide and
go east. Make sure you pick up all the boxes along the way.

Demon Cave 2: Keep going until you find a divide, as usual. The northern
path leads to several boxes and a lost-woods-esque neverending passage.
It can be recognized as a room with an open box that you didn't open.
If you continue to the west from there, it will just lead to the same
room over and over and over. Go back to the divide and go east this time.
Pick up all the treasure you can on the way, and try not to lose too
 much life.

Demon Cave 3: Take the first north divide, and when you get to a second
divide, stay eastward. You'll eventually find a man between two shafts
of rock. Surprise! It's an inn! Recharge life for 20c here. Now go back
to the room with the moles and go south. Take the eastward passage for
a weapon upgrade, then go back to very first divide in this cave. Take the
east exit and get a pair of boxes leading to a dead end. Now go back to
where you got your weapon upgrade and take the south exit for the exit
 of the cave.

Demon Cave 4: This is the area leading to the boss, so be careful! Take
the northern exit of the first divide for some treasure, then take the
westward one to get to the boss. If you are getting low on life, go
back to the inn to recharge it.

ROCK DEMON BOSS: Easy. You should have plenty of shuriken by now, so just
run up to him and pump him full of them. You should beat him in about
 ten seconds.

TUG-OF-WAR GAME: Can you say Password? Another cheap little mini-game that
requires you to press A button rapidly.

STAGE 3: THE BLACK SHIP SKULL
Gull Harbor 1: The octopi are easy to kill, but they spit out rocks
after waddling around for a few seconds. They all shoot at the same time,
so be careful. Go east till it ends and get the 5 shuriken in the box
there. Go up from the first divide after getting the box. You should
see three fast-moving pirates. They are just like the skull ninjas and
the foot soldiers; one hit kill and no projectiles, except they're a
little faster. On the second divide, the western way leads to some
octopi and a dead end. Don't go that way. After continuing on, you
will see a shop in the top left corner of the screen. If you need
health or shuriken, purchase some there. You will soon see a room
with two pirates and a seemingly uncrossable river. This is not the case.
You can stand on the boat in the water as if it's a block, so use it
as a stepping stone to get across. First, though, take out the pirates with
some shuriken or your full life projectiles. Take the lower route from
the next room for a box of 20 coins, then go west from the divide.

Gull Harbor 2 (where did those stairs go?): Go until you find the old
man. He will quiz you so you can get the sign of the black ship gang.
It shouldn't take you more than three tries to get it, and if you lose
you won't die. Careful, you only have about 2 seconds to answer each
 question.

Gull Harbor 3: Go straight, taking care of the pirates and getting boxes.
The first divide is marked by an inn in the upper left corner of the
screen. The westward route takes you to a woman that tells you stuff
you already know, so take the east way instead. Make sure you pick
up the 40 coin box on the way.

GIANT PIRATE BOSS: You MUST either have full life or a lot of ninja stars
for this guy. He will fire his hook out at you in a straight line. You
can either move to the side or jump over it. Shoot him with your stars
 until he keels over.

Black Ship Skull 1-1: Not much here, go to the stairs.

Black Ship Skull 1-2: First octopi, then squid, and now jellyfish that
spit rocks?? Weird. Treat them just like the other eight legged things.
Take the upper path for 5 shuriken if you need it, then go the lower
way. When you find the four-way divide, the west way leads to a box,
the east way leads to a stairway that leads to another box,
and the north way leads to the exit.

Black Ship Skull 1-3: The rolling cannons are just like the octopi,
only about five times slower. They only take one hit. In the four-way
divide coming up, the west way is a box, the east way is a dead end, and
south is the way out. The next passageway is long and full of rock-spitting
octopi, so be on your guard. In the next divide, go east for a box, then
 go south at the divide.

Black Ship Skull 1-Deck: This is large area, and I can't really guide
you through, so just make sure you find all the boxes and the shop near
 the top.

GIANT OCTOPUS BOSS:  He's a pushover, just like most of the
other bosses. Fire shuriken rapidly at his face and when he opens his
 mouth, dodge the cannonball.

LANTERN GAME: The easiest minigame. Just pick out the lantern that does
not belong before time runs out. One correct answer is worth 5pts, and
you need 30pts to win. Keep on your toes, or should I say, fingers.

STAGE 4: THE SKULL, ONCE AGAIN
The Black Ship Skull 1-Deck: Just like before, only no boxes or stores.
Search it thouroughly. The exit looks like a ramp on the side of the
 ship.

The Black Ship Skull 2-Deck: Just like before, search the deck and
find all the boxes. You will see the boss from the second level again,
but don't worry, he won't attack you. It's just another silly minigame.

CARD MATCH MINIGAME: This is just like a memory card game. Match cards
together, but don't mess up six times, or it's game over. Careful.

The Black Ship Skull 2-1: Take a right on the first divide for some
shuriken, then keep going. From here, it becomes a large area ripe
for exploration. Find all of the boxes and fight through the pirates until
you find a large pirate guy. He will challenge you to yet ANOTHER
 minigame...

FACE MATCH MINIGAME: Try to match all the tiles with the face on the
box that says "target." It's kinda tricky, so be careful. If you lose
 it's game over...

Black Ship Skull 2-2: In the first four-pathed area, take the northern
and western passages for some boxes, and once you're done take the
south exit. When you find Monjiro, you can challenge him to another
arrow-firing duel, although I don't know what the benefit is.

Black Ship Skull 2-3: Fight until you reach the big octopus again. This is
the last STUPID MINIGAME on the stage. And the hardest.

OCTO WHACK MINIGAME: AAIEEE!!! I was playing this on a rom, so what I
did was set all the buttons to the up and down key and just pressed those
two buttons. I got 31 points in the end. For all you gameboy players,
it might be easier because you don't have to use a keyboard. If all else
fails, try to hit all the buttons at the same time while leaving one out
 to avoid reset.

STAGE 5: SKELETON ISLAND
Lonesome Village: First, keep going east until you get the box. You may
have noticed that you are fighting the same enemies as in the first stage,
so you probably should be Sasuke for those disappearing ninjas. At the
second divide (the one with the girl at the top left and the paths on
the left, right, and bottom) go right to get a crystal of life, then
return to the divide and go down.

Skeleton Island 1: Take a left at the first divide to find some of your
old friends, the turtles, and two pathways both leading up. Take the left
one to avoid jumping over a tricky little pit. Now go right at the divide.
In the room with the fireballs, go down first to get some shuriken.
 Go right after that.

CLUB DEMON BOSS: Another easy guy. When he dashes at you, jump over him.
Fire rapid stars/projectiles at him. It only takes about fifteen hits
 to get rid of him.

Skeleton Island 2: Another large cavern. The right exit leads to some
tricky jumps for some boxes. Get them if you need them. The left exit
leads to some more disappearing ninjas and at the end, a box. Take the north
exit for some bats, turtles, fireballs, and eventually, some disappearing
ninjas. Yes, you have to go this way.  At the room with disappearing ninjas,
take a left. From here, the top passage is an inn, and the bottom is
another crystal of life. After that, take the right way past the ninjas.
You will find the exit here.

Skeleton Island 3: Take the first left for 40 coins from a box. After that,
take the first southern exit from the divide for another box. Continue
the eastern way for a while, until you find a three-way divide. The left
way leads to a shop. Go there if you need it, then continue north.

CLUB DEMON BOSS 2: Just like the other one.

Skeleton Island 4: A couple jumps, and you're at the last boss.

GOEMON IMPACT FIGHT: SKULL KING! The last minigame/boss in the game.
INCREDIBLY hard. This is a robot that looks amazingly like the guy
from MediEvil. At first, it's pretty easy; the rule is you have to
punch him BEFORE he goes back under the rocks. You must punch him
a total of 10 times before you die. You lose 1/2 a block of life each
time he gets away. Sound easy? It's not! After you beat him the first
time, he will return, only faster. A LOT faster. Pay CLOSE attention
to the arrows and try to hit him as soon as he pops up. After hitting
him another 10 times, he will resurface once more, this time going
at light speed... It took me forever to defeat this one, but when you
do, it's the end of the game!! Good luck!!

5. TIPS/POINTERS
-First of all, remember that you can jump over enemies. Sasuke has the
best jumping ability, then Goemon, and finally Ebisumaru.
-Projectiles from most enemies can be knocked away with your weapon,
 but a boss's cannot.
-Search EVERYWHERE for boxes; if I missed any, e-mail me. You will need
all the money, shuriken, and life you can get at, so listen to my advice.
-When you reach a shop, it costs 100c to get your meter fully regenerated,
BUT an inn only costs 20c for the same thing. If you can wait, do so.
-The best way to beat the minigames at the end of the stages is to SKIP THEM!
The passwords to levels are listed next, so if you're having a tough
 time, use them.
-Try to keep your life bar filled all the time, because the ability
to fire shuriken from your weapon makes defeating the enemy
 much easier.
-During the last boss fight, pay close attention to the arrows and use
them to your advantage. Try to be there before he pops up.
-Don't try to kill the disappearing ninjas.
-Save the limited shuriken for bosses or enemies across pits.
-Use the map screen to your advantage.
-Make sure you get the clear item in stages 1, 2, and 3 or you won't
be able to beat the stage.

6. PASSWORDS

7. Notes: If I missed anything, or if one of the passwords is wrong, OR
just want to yell about something, email me. It provides me with something
to read, and I appreciate thanks. Also, this is considered the worst
Goemon game, and if you didn't enjoy it, that's the reason. I didn't
quite enjoy it either. Especially the minigames. Bleah. HOWEVER, I
did not use Game Genie or any other kind of cheat to finish it. I only
used a save function on the rom, the passwords, and fast fingers.

8. Special Thanks
