[HOWT]
Missile Command is a port of the famous 1980 Arcade game, Missile
Command. Unlike the original, however, Missile Command for the Game Boy is
slightly different due to hardware limitations.
In Missile Command for the Game Boy, you have a static screen. On the
bottom of the screen, you have two missile silos that each have 15 missiles, as
well as anywhere from one to six buildings. The buildings must be protected from
destruction - if you lose all your buildings, you lose the game.
From the top of the screen, you will get swarms of enemy fire that come
down as lines at several different angles. If a line touched your building, the
building will be destroyed. To stop the enemy fire, you must fire a missile out
in _front_ of the line of fire. The missile will explode, creating a fireball,
and destroy the tip of the enemy fire if it is within the explosion radius. As
the game is in black-and-white, there is no obvious missile tip at the end of
the enemy swarms, so you will have to make do without a good visual.
Also, you will get planes and gliders coming out of the sides of the
screens. These can be destroyed for extra points, and they must also be caught
within the radius of an explosion. Lastly, UFOs wil come down in the later
levels from the top with the enemy swarms. UFOs are far more versatile than the
swarms - they will take several seconds while caught in an explosion to be
destroyed, and it may be necessary to fire a second missile at it.
Each level is played twice. At the end of each play, your remaining
buildings and missiles are counted up for extra points. Going from the first
play of a level to the second play, any destroyed buildings you have are not
rebuilt, but a destroyed missile silo is, and both silos are replenished to 15
missiles each.

One-Player - One Player Mode
Two-Player - Each player plays on the same cart. Once one player finishes a
level, the second player plays the same level.

With each level, the score multiplier goes up by 1. So in Level 1, the
Scoring is 1X, but in Level 4 the Scoring is 4X. There are six levels
altogether.
Cairo
-----
Points = X1

The first level, Cairo is fairly simple, with lots of enemy swarms, and
only the occasional plane and glider crossing the screen.
New York
--------
Points = X2
5 Buildings
In New York, the pace of enemy ups slightly, but not that much. Planes
and Gliders come on screen slightly more often. Other than that there is no
change from Cairo.
London
------
Points = X3
4 Buildings
The pace of the swarm ups significantly here, so you will have to be
more proactive in taking swarms out before they can hit the bottom. This is also
the first level that UFOs begin to show up, and they will require several hits
before they are destroyed.
Sydney
------
Points = X4
2 Buildings
Things will get extremely quick-paced here, so ignore any swarms that
will not strike a building or your missile silos, and instead focus on the ones
that are on a trajectory to hit the buildings/missiles.
Paris
-----

1 Building
Given that you have only one building left, it is imperative that you
protect that building from being destroyed. Swarms also pick up in speed
significantly, so you need to keep your two missile silos protected. UFOs will
also drift around and move towards your buildings. Given their versatility, you
will have to hit it with a missile, then as soon as it clears the fireball, hit
it with another missile.
Moscow

1 Building
In Moscow, the jets that fly by will begin to drop bombs. As such, you
should upgrade the jets to the first security threat and take them out before
one can drop a bomb. Other than that, it is a simple matter of reacting more
quickly to the swarms and UFOs than they can hit your building and missile
silos.
