I. INTRODUCTION
****************
Hello, and welcome to my Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - The Movie FAQ.
You obviously needed help with this game (otherwise, you wouldn't have
made it a point to find this), and that's why I decided to write this FAQ, to
help you. And, because I was bored.
MMPR-TME is one of those kind of games where, no matter how many times you
play/beat it, it can never be played too much. It's a classic, and it's a
shame more people don't know about it. So, let's dive right into the madness.
*************
II. CONTROLS
*************
Well, these controls are incredibly simple.
Left and Right - Move around
A - Nothing
B - Jump
X - Special Move (When some power is gotten), Morph (When power is full), or
Special Power Move (When power is full, and Ranger is morphed.)
Y - Attack (or Weapon Attack, when power is fully charged, and Ranger is
morphed.)
L - Flip/Jump to Top/Bottom Level
R - Flip/Jump to Top/Bottom Level
Start - Pause the Game/Select A Ranger/Select an Option.
Select - Move around on Options, Title Screen, and "Select Player" screen.
B+Up - Grab onto overhead things (Only works on some things)
*****************
III. OPTION MENU
*****************
The Option Menu offers only Two Options:
Sound: Stereo or Mono
Difficulty: Normal or Hard (That's right, no Easy)
This FAQ is written for the Normal version of the game.
*********************
IV. MEET THE RANGERS
*********************
Tommy - The White Ranger
Tommy is the most unique of all of the morphed Ranger versions. He has a
handspring instead of a backflip, so it's a bit slower than the others. For
some odd reason, he is the most popular on this game amongst players. Maybe
it's because he isn't just a clone...
Attacks - Straight Punch (Y), Jumping Karate Kick (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Swinging Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - Tiger Sword Slash (Y, When Morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Spinning Karate Kick (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Multi-Explosion (X, when power is full, and Ranger is
morphed)
Special Jump - Handspring (Down+B, when morphed)
***
Billy - The Blue Ranger
Aah, good ol' geeky Billy. He is SO much geekier in this game than on the
TV series. I work with him the best, even though his unmorphed special is
incredibly slow. His lance is truly awesome, and his morphed special is a
stellar animation. Making up for the unmorphed special, I suppose.
Attacks - Straight Punch, Hold Head (Y), Toss (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Straight Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - Lance Slash (Y, when morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Bomb Throw (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Tidal Wave (X, when power is full, and Ranger is morphed)
Special Jump - Backflip (Down+B, when morphed)
***
Rocky - The Red Ranger
A wannabe Tommy, but just can't quite pull it off. Rocky's morphed special is
the only thing cool about him. He looks like a hulking tumor, doesn't he?
Bleeeech.
Attacks - Backhand (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Straight Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - Sword Slash (Y, when morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Flying Karate Kick (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Fire Wake (X, when power is full, and Ranger is morphed)
Special Jump - Backflip (Down+B, when morphed)
***
Kimberly - The Pink Ranger
*drools* OH! Oh, yes, Kimberly, ahem, well... Uhm, her weapon attack
absolutely sucks. Her special power move is weak looking. She actually has a
slap/backhand combo, if you push Y twice. Yeah, that's about it. She's the
"hot" pixelchick of this game.
Attacks - Slap/Backhand (Y), High Kick (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Straight Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - 3 Arrows (Y, when morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Front Flip Kick (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Lasers (X, when power is full, and Ranger is morphed)
Special Jump - Backflip (Down+B, when morphed)
***
Aisha - The Yellow Ranger
BUTT SLAM?! That's her Special unmorphed move?? Is her buttocks THAT big? And
what about her Split Kick? My God, her pelvis does all sorts of neat things,
doesn't it? It slices, it dices, it cuts and chops...
Attacks - Axe Handle Blow (Y), Toss (Up+Y), Split Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Straight Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - Double Sai Slash (Y, when morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Butt Slam (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Lightning (X, when power is full, and Ranger is morphed)
Special Jump - Backflip (Down+B, when morphed)
***
Adam - The Black Ranger
Oh God, his special morphed power move is so idiotic, and so awesome, at the
same time! His Energy Blast is like a kamehameha, but smaller, doesn't go as
far, and there's no screaming before the move. No matter, it still rocks.
Attacks - Palm Strike (Y), Roundhouse Kick (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Attacks (When Morphed) - Straight Punch (Y), Uppercut (Up+Y), Low Kick (Down+Y)
Weapon Attack - Axe Slash (Y, when morphed, and full power)
Special Move - Energy Blast (X, when some power is gotten)
Special Power Move - Ball of Doom (X, when power is full, and Ranger is
morphed)
Special Jump - Backflip (Down+B, when morphed)

VII. BOSSES /W STRATEGIES
**************************
Boss' Name: Mirror Maniac
Moves He Uses: Roll, Energy Blast, Double Vision
Strategy: Duck his energy blasts, and when he starts to roll, flip to the
top/bottom level (or punch him). Then, when he uses double vision, punch the
Maniac with the brighter mirror. He'll be dead in no time.
Other Thoughts: He's a maaaaniac, maaaaaaaaaniac on the floor......
***
Boss' Name: Cannon Top
Moves He Uses: Missile Blast, Cannonball
Strategy: The key thing to remember is to stay out of the way of the missiles.
It's a good idea to either do one of the two things: Leap upon the moving
platform, and take a shot whenever you can, while ducking the cannonball shots,
or, wait until you harvest enough energy (from the lightning bolts), then do
your special move, THEN hack at him (or, keep harvesting, if you have time to
spare).
Other Thoughts: If you stay off the hangy thing, he's pie.
***
Boss' Name: Skelerena
Moves She Uses: Claw, Flare, Charge, Vanish, Scythe Drop
Strategy: The main strategy here, is to flip to the top-/bottom level when she
charges, uses flare, or the scythe drop. Just move back to avoid the claw, and
when she vanishes to get in front/behind you, just attack her.
Other Thoughts: She's actually quite easy to beat. No sweat.
***
Boss' Name: Magnet Brain
Moves He Uses: Push, Pull, Staff Stab, Staff Flip, Tornado, Nega-Tornado
Strategy: Avoid the staff stabs and flips at all costs. When he shoots a
tornado, leap over it, and go in for the punch.
Other Thoughts: This is the third hardest boss on the game.
***
Boss' Name: Silver Horns
Moves He Uses: Sunrise Laser, Quad Storm Balls, Electro-Charge, Ball Release
Strategy: Stay away from his quad storm balls at all costs. They're nasty.
Sometime during your fight, he'll release 2 balls, which shoot down beams.
They're nasty too. To avoid him, cling onto the overhead bar, (Jump+Up) and
leap your way across. Then, just punch him until he dies.
Other Thoughts: This is the hardest boss on the game--even harder than Ooze.
***
Boss' Name: Main Frame
Moves He Uses: Lightning Ball=Lightning, Fire Ball=Fire, Laser Ball=Lasers
Strategy: Okay, now there are Four parts to Main Frame. The Fire Ball,
Lightning Ball, The Laser Ball, and The Main Brain. First, The Main Brain is
what you need to attack. The other three are just henchmen, however, they are
the only ones that can attack. Avoid the Fire by getting in a corner. Avoid
the Lasers by staying out of the way, and avoid the Lightning by... well, just
avoid it. It's the most difficult ball to get away from. Attack the Brain till
it dies.
Other Thoughts: This is the second hardest boss on the game.
***
Boss' Name: Ivan Ooze
Moves He Uses: Flaming Daggers, Cross Ball, Steel Teeth, Thorns, Energy Slam
Strategy: He isn't really that hard. Watch out for his Flaming Daggers, as
they're pretty easy to avoid. The Steel Teeth are kinda sneaky, as they come
from behind. The thorns are very easy to avoid, just jump back. The Energy
Slam is sooooo incredibly predictable--just jump it. The only thing to really
look out for, is the cross ball. You'll know it when you see it--it's rather
hard to avoid. Just punch at him, while avoiding all his attacks, and you'll
be just fine.
Other Thoughts: Whoa, you're not out of the woods yet, scout. After you beat
Ivan Ooze, a message will pop up on the screen, saying "POWER RANGERS, ESCAPE
NOW_". What this basically means is, that you have 99 seconds and 99
milliseconds to escape, displayed as 99.99. Isn't that just great... right
after you beat the game's final boss, you have to run from impending doom.
*sigh* A Ranger's work is never done.
So now, you must go running through a mass of enemies and Putties, and trying
not to get yourself killed in the process. Once you reach the end, (you'll
know where "the end" is, because the screen refuses to let you go any further,
and Putties are still attacking you) a Zord will "save" you. Congratulations,
you just beat the game!
*************
VIII. CHEATS
*************
Well, we've finally reached the Cheats section. There's only one cheat for this
game, and its revealed to you if you beat the game... on Hard mode. So, I'll
just let you beat it, and see for yourself...
Hey, I'm just kidding! The cheat is, at the Menu screen, press Up, Down, Left,
Right, X, B, Y, A. This will let you start each level already morphed! Wheee!
********
IX. FAQ
********
And here is the lovely FAQ section. FAQ, in case you don't know, stands for
Frequently Asked Questions--in which are here.
Q: What do you mean, "What I Call Them?"
A: This is what I call them, as in, I don't know what they're real names are.
Q: At the end of the game, who jumps in the ring, and gets knocked out?
A: As poorly done as they are, it's Bulk and Skull.
Q: What Zord saves you at the end?
A: That would be the Ninja Megazord.
Q: How many seconds should be left by time the end of the last level is
gotten to?
A: On average, about 30 to 15 seconds, if you're quick.
Q: Why did you even write a FAQ for this game?
A: Because there was no suitable ones already put up.
Q: At the end, what does it mean when it says "Try hard mode and you can get a
secret code."?
A: The secret code they are speaking of is in the Cheats section of this FAQ.
Q: Why is there no Easy mode?
A: Because Normal is easy enough.
Q: Why do the people in the cities and stuff just stand around, though their
city is being swarmed by Putties and other stuff?
A: Because they know that the Power Rangers have got it all under control.
Q: Where are the Tengu warriors, and those dreadlock purple fighter guys?
A: They're dead.
Q: Why?
A: We don't ask those questions in this household.
Q: But--
A: *BANG*
