I- Intro [00001]

There are no FAQs or walkthroughs for this version anywhere, and there are so
many unique stages, some very challenging. I have decided that since no one did
it, it's because the game is laggish and can be frustrating to be played to the
end. And since I could finish it, maybe I should show to the world how unique
it is. Well, I can detail more in the next version.
I ran into this game in the past many times and couldn't finish the Taxing Mode
and after many tries and giving up about three times, I finally could figure it
out. I'm not a person who run from the fate of succedding and defeating enemies
that I failed before.
I'm Brazilian, so I hope my english is good enough for everyone to understand.
Last, puzzle games are just so amazing.

II- Story [00002]

I shouldn't really have to write this section, Lemmings is just Lemmings, you
have a bunch of Lemmings, who are creatures who walk to their deaths, unless
you tell them to do certain actions.
I think you already know that too, there are 30 stages for each difficulty.
Some of them are very hard. You can call them stages, levels, rounds, whatever.

III- Basics [00003]

Well, how to play can always help. So, even if you already know how to play,
this section can prove useful by making you remember a command or two.
I doubt there will be spatial explanation here, since the maps are just too
hard to draw in text style. But maybe I'll be adding something more, picture,
or maybe Youtube videos.
Directional: you don't move the Lemming itself, you are a cursor, and you move
freely through the screen. Down there you'll see some "cards", they are your
items. (to be explained in section IV, next one)
Button 1: You see it in many screens, button 1 will make you preview the level
before actually starting playing it, it's useful. If you lose, pressing 1 go
to the main menu. During a level it does nothing.
Button 2: You see it written too, button 2 will make you advance to the next
screen. During play it just choose the items, and use them if possible, which
is when the cursor have one Lemming inside.
Button Pause: Useful, you can pause the action anytime to rethink your
strategy, see if you have the right amount of each item, and if you need to
change your route.

IV- Items / Skills [00004]

Your items / skills are listed in this order, and all of them should be already
memorized by the end of level 7.
1- Your plus and minus signs: Lemmings come off from their portal, and they
come out slowly if the number is 01, and really fast if the number is 99.
Middle numbers are 'the bigger, the faster'. This is called Release Rate.
2- You can set a Lemming to be a climber. Climbers will not stop at any wall
and turn around, they'll really try to climb it, and if you played other
versions of Lemmings, you'll see that they climb fast in Master System. If they
reach any ceiling, they'll fall and turn around.
3- Lemmings usually die if they fall from great heights, but these umbrellas
can make them float to the floor slowly, and protect from this horrible death.
4- Exploders/bombers are Lemmings with just 5 seconds of life. After this time,
they explode, leaving a hole where the explosion occurs, which can destroy
walls, floor, and even ceiling. And yes, they die.
5- If you set a Lemming to be a blocker, this Lemming will stop and become a
wall. A wall no one can climb, others will all turn around. And this can be
useful so you don't have to time your exploder from a distance all the time.
6- A Lemming will just be a builder for some seconds, they'll put up blocks
that glue to each other, making a bridge, or stairway, or ladder, whatever you
call it. If a Lemming reach the wall or ceiling during this process, he will
stop and turn around,.. if they reach a stopper, they'll continue building,
and turn around. At the end of this process there will be a sound, so they can
warn you, just in case you need a little more blocks to reach your goal.
7- Basher Lemmings will bash, they can bash through walls, and they'll only
stop if they reach steel, end of the wall, or if they don't have ground below.
If a climber go inside this tunnel, he will turn around.
8- Bashers go horizontal, but miners don't, they go diagonal. Lemmings with
this ability will mine through walls, and floor, and they'll only stop if they
reach steel, end of work, or if they don't have ground below. Again, climbers
will certainly turn around.
9- Diggers are Lemmings who can dig, they dig the floor, going down, and down,
until they have no floor to dig, or they reach steel, of course. Climbers will
always get away from the hole if they don't stop at any miserable pixel of
anything in the way... and it's 50-50 direction if you set anyone in the hole
to be a climber.
10- That last button there is the selfdestruct mechanism. You can set all
Lemmings at once to be exploders, this will not stop you from beating the level
if enough of them already reached their goal.
11- Oh yes, if you select Lemmings with the cursor, they appear there on the
right. You can see if they are climbers, floaters, bashers, miners, diggers,
and you can change their abilities so they can go different directions, for
example: you're digging and all your Lemmings are there, in the hole, and down
there is just the water, and the exit is all the way to the right. You can set
the digger to become a basher, even if other 19 Lemmings are around him. Just
see in this item the possibility, it will show the Lemming worker. Sometimes
this can be a little tricky to make happen.

V- Other commands/Tricks [00005]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the less glitched version of Lemmings I've ever seen. Have you already
cut through steel after building a ladder block? You can't do it here.
Did you go through fire in SNES, or Mega Drive? Here, they'll always die, or
stop, if building a ladder.
Did you bash and build, to enter the ceiling and bash through there? In Master
System, you can try it, but I doubt it will be possible. And sometimes they
find a way to fall all the way down...
Did you wait for a Lemming to stop building, and then let him give a step front
to extend a ladder? No more here, they fall, usually to worse situations...
But! Some tricks involving items / skills are possible.
1- Learn to pause the game before a level officially starts, or use the preview
mode, and pause the game whenever you feel like reconsidering the whole
strategy, or changing items.
2- Bashers/miners/diggers will ALWAYS stop to steel, you can use it to your
advantage sometimes.
3- Master System have a limitation of 20 Lemmings per level. If you have 20
climber items, you can make all of them go up without needing a builder, it's
possible in many situations.
4- Again if you have 20 climbers and 20 floaters, you don't even need to worry
about them dying due to height.
5- Like other versions, after a Lemming climb ahead, you can set a Lemming to
mine/dig .. and then stop at the third or fourth strike and set it to a
builder, he will build two blocks, and turn around, then you make him a miner,
so they'll do a diagonal hole back and all the others avoid doing a slow
ladder (or if you don't have enough builders). If the Lemming mining won't
reach the floor, make him a basher at the exact moment.
6- Blockers can walk again, if you undo their ground, it can be done with
mining, bashing, exploding, and even digging, if you get it just right.
7- Learn to time your exploders, so you don't need to have blockers for
specific wall opening. Most of Taxing/Mayhem levels won't give you any blocker.
8- But if you have the blockers, consider stopping them at the nearest and then
set them to explode, it can save many headaches. Actually, you can set a
blocker right after the Lemming reach the floor, and every other Lemming after
will go right, and only be blocked when coming back.
9- If your Lemmings are dying and you didn't see where, consider that they can
be falling to a trap, you can go over it with builders, or under it, with
miners and bashers, and even diggers.
10- A miner can be used to make Lemmings turn around. They just have to stop
mining before they reach a dead end, using a builder, or steel. This prevents
even climbers from advancing if used right.
11- If Lemmings are going to a cliff and can die from height, you can stop it
by mining/digging on the edge, this can be useful if you have few to no
floaters.
12- If you need to save 100% Lemmings for a level, don't explode them.
13- If you need to save 100% Lemmings for a level, avoid making any blockers,
unless you have the items to make them move again. And again, don't explode
them at the end of the level...
14- Some levels will require 100% and will give you a few diggers, miners, and
bashers, and extra builders... learn to use them to create holes that can
prevent everyone from moving except the one opening the way to the exit.
15- If you're bashing through a wall and after it, you'll have to build,
consider using a miner right before, so you won't have to worry too much about
the Lemming slipping and dying.
16- A lot of stages have you doing all the work with your first Lemming and
have all the others waiting back there, so here is the compression method: you
can do it in two main ways: you can use a blocker to stop all your Lemmings at
a closed space near a wall, .. OR you can dig about 3 seconds and have this
same Lemmin build a ladder inside the hole, so all others will be trapped there
and wait for that first guy to make the path. Prefer the second method if you
can make everyone a climber, if you can't, use the first method.
17- It's kind of a spoiler but in rare cases like one of the last levels, .....
ok, in this version there is this glitch were the space where the stage should
end is considered a wall in the game, if you make a builder build til there,
everyone should be safe from falling to the end of existance. There, 17 tricks
just like there are 17 stage musics.

VI- How do I read the FAQ? [00006]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's simple, all you need is english knowledge, and good adaptation to the map
I'll try to describe.
Number of Lemmings: How many Lemmings will come from the portal.
To Be Saved: The percentage of Lemmings you need to save.
Release Rate: How often they come off the portal.
Time: How many minutes do you have to reach the goal.
Difficulty: From 1 to 8 asterisks, the more the harder. In my opinion.
Items: You'll have these specific items in this level.
How to do: This is the reason you searched for the FAQ, right? Or maybe you
should be trying to solve them alone... too hard? So read it, I'll try to be as
specific as I can.
How to 100%: If possible, I'll be letting this extra information available.

VII- Fun Levels [00007]

Level Fun 01: Just Dig!
Number of Lemmings: 10
To Be Saved: 10%
Release Rate: 50
Time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: * (if not 0)
Items: 10 Digger
How to do: Lemmings are there, coming from their portal, and you can set one of
them to dig from the second floor to the first floor, by the time he's digging,
others will be together in the hole, and when there is no more floor, half of
the Lemmings will go left. But 10% of 10 is 1, only one Lemming need to reach
the goal.
How to 100%: You really only need 10%, but if you really want 100%, wait for
them, OR have more of them dig, all diggers that were going to right will go
right after their work is done.
*Special* How NOT to do: People don't think about it, but there are actually
four ways to lose this level:
1- You can dig again on the first floor, so they'll reach rock bottom.
2- You can have your joystick broken with both buttons not working, and then 5
minutes pass very slowly.. you actually need to break the joystick after
entering the level, or else it won't do it.
3- You can hit the selfdestruction button holding button 2 for 1 second. You
lose ONLY if the Lemming doesn't start running off entering the exit.
4- You can go to the supermarket by the order of your mother. Even this way
there is a really slight possibility your mom will finish the level, 80% chance
by mistake. Also there is a 60% possibility she'll turn the console off. This
way you lose too.
This level will be recognizable when you get to Level Tricky 15..

Level Fun 02: Only Floaters Can Survive This

How to do: It doesn't look like, but they die from that height, making one of
them floater is enough to beat this level.
How to 100%: Make all of them floaters.
*Special* Don't be afraid: Don't be threaten by this height, Lemmings actually
can fall from higher heights without dying in almost all other levels.
This level repeats later with different items.. it's Level Tricky 18.

Level Fun 03: Tailor Made for Blockers

How to do: You need to block the way so Lemmings will turn around. When 2 of
them reach the goal, you already won. Just 3 or 5 blockers will do it.
How to 100%: I don't know what to say to you, blockers will remain there, if
you really want 100%, hack the game! You can go at maximum 85% here.

Level Fun 04: Now Use Miners and Climbers

How to do: Mine to the floor below, and make all of your little guys climbers,
so they can climb to the exit. They can't die from height, they can't go off
the cliff, they can mine to outside the level, and they can't wait 5 minutes
inside the portal, so... there is no difficulty here.
How to 100%: You actually NEED to do it, so I won't write more.
This level exists twice in the game, it will come back as Level Mayhem 20.

Level Fun 05: You Need Bashers This Time
Number of Lemmings: 20

How to do: You'll need to bash through the walls now. Use the item near it, or
else the Lemming will perform a punch and continue the way. If you spend all
bashers and the exit is still close, you lost it. They can bash through web in
certain situations so they'll not need to be using the item constantly, but
it's rare, so go crazy on the web.
How to 100%: Please set the release rate to 99 to accelerate this process.
This level exists as Level Tricky 16 too, but you'll have different items.

Level Fun 06: A Task for Blockers and Bombers

Items: 5 Bomber-Blocker
How to do: By using a bomber to explode the floor, and then a blocker near the
wall, and make him a bomber too. If you time it just right, you don't need
blockers.
How to 100%: You need to explode Lemmings, the maximum percentage you'll reach
is 90% here.
This level will come back as Level Tricky 17, and you won't have the blockers.

Level Fun 07: Builders Will Help You Here

How to do: With 2 good positioned ladders, you already won this one. You have
plenty more in case all your Lemmings fall to the hole.
How to 100%: This is a common trick on Lemmings world, you can set the others
coming behind to build too, so they can wait the ladder to be done. And if you
have good patience, you can make them build up all the way back from the hole.
Just go left-right and right-left until they reach it.
This level comes back later too, as Level Tricky 19, with different items.

Level Fun 08: Not as Complicated as it Looks

How to do: It's very simple, one blocker is enough to do it.
How to 100%: With 88 release rate, they come off fast, but it's possible to
100% here. You have floor, go with miners, trying to make a wall so the
Lemmings start coming the right way. Or go to the other side and build ladders
to go and come back. The miner can even make a blocker move again, so you can
use one blocker and still get 100% easily. Or go with 2 or 3 bombers, then can
explode and create a cliff. Oh wait, forget this last one.
This level will come back later, Level Tricky 22, and will have no blockers..

How to do: 90% is easy, one blocker should be stopped on the left, while you
bash the wall, and make you way out.
How to 100%: This is Level Tricky 26 on most versions, so I should say that,
you'll need some builders to make up some time back there. You can dig and bash
your blocker to move again, too. Just be careful with those builders, as they
can close the door, in the case, you can bash, dig or mine the ladders.

Level Fun 10: Smile If You Love Lemmings

How to do: Make all of them floaters, and one of them a blocker, down there. An
other approach is digging through the middle stone, and the first one to fall
off is the blocker.
How to 100%: Go with the digging through the center, and let one fall, floater,
and mine instead of blocking, so the Lemming will stop at steel and you'll have
a wall, they come back and voila, 100%. Level Taxing 09 will be this one with
just 1 or 2 of each item.

Level Fun 11: Keep Your Hair On Mr Lemming

How to do: You see those arrows there? You can only bash from the other side,
and in Master System this rule is absolute. You'll have to climb up the wall
with two of them, and make one a blocker, then the other one will come back,
bash the thing and have the others reach the exit.
How to 100%: With no builders, I don't see the possibility. You'll need to
mourn over 95%. This level comes back as Level Taxing 18 later on.

Level Fun 12: Patience

How to do: Go crazy making them climbers, and as they go up the wall, make them
floaters too. You can go other strategies, make some builders back there, have
a blocker and bash the wall, or mine it, or use a combination of digging and
bashing so they don't come back.
How to 100%: The easiest way still is use your 20 climbers and floaters.. if
this is too 50-50, try having a blocker at the very left, and mining your way
under him so he falls on the hole and go to the exit too.
Also, this level is Level Tricky 23 later on.

How to do: Let them dig their way to the floor below. You can set release rate
to much higher numbers on the start to make it a quicker level.
How to 100%: I'll tell how NOT to 100%: trying to use digging as ladders. In
this version you'll get Lemmings killed because the height works slighty
different.
This is a level that repeats three times,.. others are Tricky 02 and Mayhem 11.

Level Fun 14: Origins and Lemmings

How to do: Strategy 1: Bash your way to the next wall, make two climbers, and
bash the other walls, then make everyone a climber when they're going right.
Strategy 2: you can make them turn around by digging/building/mining and making
tunnels that reach the exit. Strategy 3: Make everyone a climber from the
start, and dig tunnels to avoid falling to death. And... Strategy 4: you can go
with builders to reach the level you need to bash your way to the higher
floors...
How to 100%: Strategy 1, well used, gives easily 100%.
Also, this level comes back as Level Tricky 30.. it will not be much harder.

Level Fun 15: Don't Let Your Eyes Deceive You

How to do: You can make all of them climbers, floaters, bash all the pilars,
and even use blockers if you need them to wait for some ladders to be built.
How to 100%: The easiest way: climb the first pillar with one Lemming, and bash
the other two, so you don't need to make him a floater, build those ladders, 3
or 4 to the first cliff, and 1 or 2 to the second cliff, bash your way front
with the others, and you're out of there, 100%
For a different approach, Level Taxing 01 is this one revisited..

Level Fun 16: Don't Do Anything Too Hasty

How to do: By reaching heaven. Block the others out there, your Lemming at
front will have to build a long ladder, or two not so long ladders if you time
it to make him fall on the second peak. Explode the blockers properly and all
the others will use the ladder(s).
How to 100%: Instead of blocking, you'll have to find another solution to hold
the Lemmings back there, try mining to both sides, or digging a hole, or put
the blockers on the top of four stones of ladder, so a basher can make him move
again.. (please don't do this one to the left), there is a 100% solution later
on too, search for Level Taxing 03.

Level Fun 17: Easy When You Know How

How to do: There are traps on the tunnel below, and Lemmings die from height if
you try to bash to the right. The solution is to use the famous 'compression
method', which involves making the first one to fall left a blocker, and having
everyone be trapped there, and exploding the blocker.... so a lot fewer of them
will fall for the trap (and yes, Master System version has ONE trap there,
only)
How to 100%: Drop to left like before, and do the wise thing to do, mine the
trap away. If you know where it stands, around the third division of steel
blocks above, it's easy to do on the first try. Actually, strategy 2: dig the
trap, there is a minor glitch where you can't make anyone a blocker while
digging the trap, so make it and they'll keep moving.
This level comes back as Level Taxing 06. ... and I already explained the
compression method here, oh dear lord =__=

Level Fun 18: Let's Block and Blow

Items: 20 Bomber-Blocker
How to do: You see those space with no fire? Block and blow through them, and
you should be fine. If you want to try it, the non-blocker strategy is to try
and beat this level with only 5 bombers. The timing is different than other
versions, four of them should be set nearly at the same spot, right before the
first fall.
How to 100%: 75% at best.
This level will be back later as Level Taxing 19.. with no blockers.

Level Fun 19: Take Good Care of My Lemmings

How to do: You just have to go all the way to the right and build up a ladder
to the top, in this version, start the ladder just at the beggining of fifth
structure. Block the others back there while the ladder is being built.
How to 100%: By building more ladders at the edges, or the best way, trap them
between the third and fourth structures, with diggers, and bashers.
This level will repeat as Level Taxing 25, with much less of most items..

How to 100%: With this release rate, it will be tough, but you can go with the
3 ladder high strategy, so the basher can release him,.. but what to do for the
left side? You can actually turn away ... use this: blocker on the left, the

will be the only one going left, since you digged, use your last ladder to make

as this: build S to E, build E to A, build A to S, (.. yes they can climb the
S, strangely it's a straight wall) ... then, don't worry about the small hole,
they climb it... next, go up and punch the wall, build over the little lake,..
then, don't mind the step, bash the ring, call everyone back there with your
other 19 climbers, and if they happen to climb left, make them floaters too.
How to 100%: This strategy give a 100% easily, I kind of miss Cascade, it was a

you have to bash and mine this entire mountain) ... and they will be able to

through that rock to find the exit in the middle, the steel is its ground.
How to 100%: Instead of a blocker, you'll have to go with miners. With this
release rate, you might need to throw a little more builders away. (just two is
enough, actually)

the second one should pass it, and do what the third one will do, have him stop

solution: Make the first one a climber floater, and go there, where the big
hole stands, build your 3 or 4 ladders, and 1 or 2 ladders on the next part,
and bring another guy, climber floater, make him dig-build-mine (so he can go
make the big tunnel),.. when he's under the ground, bash to the left, and have
someone back there do the same, mine, and bash, but to the right... they'll
both meet in the middle, punch each other, and follow their ways.
How to 100%: You have to do it all at the same time so you'll have enough time.
Make sure the guy bashing to the left get a builder too so he don't travel all
the way to the left to be .. left there.

see that in this version, you can get around 75%, 80%, usually.
How to 100%: It is possible, you can dig and bash to free yourself from facing
the trap, but be careful as if you dig a little too much, they can't get up the
other side, and if you don't dig enough, the trap is there to kill someone. Or
the solution 2 already explained before, dig-block will get the guy free just
like a glitch.

done explode the blocker and all the others should be going to the exit.
How to 100%: As you see, you'll need 5 builder just for the last part, right?
Okay, no, you'll have to squish it, go to the last frames possible after the
first falls, and make it 3, because the climber have to do a wrong ladder first
then build back there after the bashing, and go ahead, so the others only go to
the exit after the ladders are done. This is one of the hardest 100% in this
game.

How to do: Remember Level Tricky 07? This is a new series, repeated levels, now
with short of items and supplies. This level has to be explained in sections.
Step 1- First one have to mine.. second one have to dig because he'll go over
the mining and try to suicide. Once you get this right and spend only one
builder..
Step 2- Now that they're going left, build that first ladder (bridge?) and the
others will try to fall there, build two ladders, maybe three..
Step 3- Now that they're not trying to suicide on the first hole possible, the
second.. make the first one miner, and everyone passing it should be a builder,
but be careful, too close, the miner will destroy the ladders... but if someone
go ahead, it's up to the next step.
Step 4- Now you have one guy ahead. He has to build all the way, if he come to
build the ladder too next to a wall, he'll turn back,.. how do you make him go
left again? By digging and building. Try not to overuse it, you'll need not one
but TWO diggers on step 5.
Step 5- ... now that you reached the top pillar, you need to have 2 Diggers, 1
Basher, 1 Miner, and 2 Builders.. dig to a height they don't die, and bash, dig
again leaving a thin line of wall, go near the floor (when you start this
second digging, bring the others with the builder)... and then mine the thin
wall away, build a ladder and you're finally going to the exit with everyone..
Step 6- Hope you have enough time in the end, but really, you should have a
little more than one minute by now.
How to 100%: Now, now, was that soooo hard? You could try to mine the first
pillar both ways, so you can avoid the worst part that is step 3..

going to be of much help.

prepare the exit, the others should not have any problem with the tunnel.. put
a blocker on the right.
How to 100%: With that much space, I don't think you can go more than 95%, but
if you can have one builder to spare, you can bring the blocker along later.
But actually, there is a solution, which is better executed by going to that
second 'prison' down there with the Lemmings from the right, it is possible and
not too hard to do it, but there is luck involved.

How to 100%: This is very much a technicallity: after trying all 100% solutions
out there and not having success replicating them, I've got this 'migué' to
work on my own solution to this: first you build about seven ladders to climb
there, to the top of the building, bash it in the middle so only one Lemming is
there. Now exactly when he reaches the point of the last degree there, make him
build 3 ladders, and when he finishes this, he'll fall,.... right? But right
before he smashes to the ground, he'll enter the portal and reach the exit.

Step 2- That web just before the tightrope line.. you can bring a basher to not
making holes on the ground. Just time it right. Anyone who got stuck in the web
middle, .. mine away from there.
Step 3- Get to the second big web, they can bash and then dig, falling there,
mine, and bash, and there, they go over to the next wall, it's just like step
2..
Step 2 (4?)- Bash it just right .. just in case you hit the floor, try to build
right away, .. try to do it with few Lemmings around.
How to 100%: You have the ladders, so you have a way of making a blocker and
release it, it's better to do it a little more like Tightrope City, ... which
was Tricky 24.

Step 1- Have your first Lemming out to hit the wall and immediately mine his
way, .. the second one will have to go, become a floater, and build the next
parts,..
Step 2- When the miner is close to the wall, make him build, so the others are
stuck back there.
Step 3- Now, bash, build, dig, build, dig build, you'll see how with the level
right in front of you..
Step 4- Make him a climber at this point.. go up, and you have the nastiest
part to do now, right after bashing the wall.. (higher part please)
Step 5- You'll have some builders left, make the ladder to hit the faucet, and
. I think you can mine the others to the path at the end of step 4, building
that last ladder shouldn't be a problem, he'll turn back, go around and back,
and out the level.. make all of them climbers so they can go there too.
How to 100%: Mandatory, so, don't use any of those 20 bombers and blockers,..

too with 2 bombers if you know where to set them on. Between the 3rd and 4th
archs would be my best bet.. one basher is better than two bombers to avoid
losing Lemmings on the left, anway.
How to 100%: If you time the bashers just right to bash some parts of the floor
it's possible to go 100%, you can use the spare ladders to make them turn and
bash in a specific spot that will give you a cell. You have the exact number of
builders for this to be possible.

explode in exact places? Well, this one is completely like that. Have your
first Lemming build just where the floor is high, block both suicide points,
and when your Lemming stop building, let another one be blocked there and
explode away. build more, explode on the edge, this way you'll dig up,.. hints:
1- Once you exploded the third Lemming, there will be the possibility of a wall
there. Build to the other side will give you more space to explode more of the
ceiling.. and less exploding the ladder before. They will be trapped there.
2- Don't try to explode the builder, he'll probably escape the best spot.
3- zigzag the last ladder so they come out to the right and not to the left..
How to 100%: I've seen 97% in some other version, but with no elevator glitch,
I think 70%, 75% tops. But just wait! On second thought, it's been discovered
that you have space to go left, building, and make one blocker, then bring the
others to make another ladder to avoid all the ceiling bombing! This way you
can get 85%.. a little better than going through the ceiling...

disliked these Sega levels,.. but seeing that they took out one entire 'We All
Fall Down', I kinf of like them now.. Well, this isn't a hard level, but you
have 3 minutes, and two sides to deal with at the same time.. let's separate
them.
Side Left: Let them hit the wall, dig one floor down, dig down again, and dig
to the place where they'll be able to turn around.. they fall, and can build
their ladder, if someone comes from behing, build, build..
Side Right: Dig your way out where there is a floor down, let them go to the
next floor down, and dig from there, they turn around, fall to the lowest
floor, bash the wall, and can build their ladders, two or three are necessary.
If anyone turns around, search for a ceiling where they can turn back with one
builder.
How to 100%: Same way above..

Part 2- Next, start the ladder to this part from the right, hit the left wall,
and continue on to the right, dig the ladder so the Lemming go alone.
Part 3- Let him go to the lower floor, and start building from there, until
he's able to avoid the water.
Part 4- Start the final ladder from there, to hit the steel wall.. once your
Lemming is trapped there, bring the others, and build your zigzagged way to the
exit.
Steel really works on this version, but our path works too.. I usually spend all
my builders here, so.. be careful not to run out of them.
How to 100%: By making all of them floaters, with no losses.

How to do: First one start the ladder, second one block. As soon as the builder
hits the ground, start again, the ladder has to go over the blowing fire.. but
if, IF you hit the fire, the builder will just turn back, stopping to build..
if that happens, build back to reach the blocker, and come again, ... some say
the right solution is to go under the left part of the exit, but I never did it
this way. If you do it the way I do, the builder will turn back three times,
and then pass over the fire, bring the others after that, and the exit is
there..
How to 100%: My solution is like this for this one:
Step 1- first guy, have him start the ladder, you need three, but after two,
you'll have about 7 guys fall to the lower floor, to do this without anyone
reaching the fire and dying, have the second, third and fourth guy build too,
just behind the first one. Fifth guy will be able to fall without any loss.
Step 2- this fifth guy have to go all the way to the left and all the way back,
so he'll start a ladder building twice, but before that some others will be
coming, make them climbers so they'll take more time on the left walls. If
anyone is to be falling after the steel floor, make them floaters, usually just
two are needed.
Step 3- to be applied before step 2 actually, up there, you'll need a ladder to
be done 3 blocks before the second one was finished, so the guys that are not
the 9 ones down on the lower floor will keep going to make the next step
possible.
Step 4- after spending about 9 ladders to make the guys turn back and not die
to fire, ... you'll have all of them down there, at this point only 16 of all
Lemmings are out yet, this is important, because not the last ladder is to be
built.
Step 5- to avoid have anyone be hit by the flamethrower: you need to make five
ladders before anyone reach the fire after finishing building. Each one that is
to start building, make it just some steps after the others, this looks like a
waste, but you still have about 8 ladders around here, and you need three more
after these five.
Step 6- bring the guys down there from the right, but to make those last three
ladders, it is important that you start this with the last Lemming out, or else
no one would be there to build it. There, there, this is a lot of work but it
is the safest way to 100% this level.

Step 2- One of the guys in the crowd, make him a climber so he'll go over to be
the one ahead, during the fall, make him a floater, and there, he can mine the
way to the exit to avoid the trap.
Step 3- That one bashing will free the others, and he should use the builder to
avoid falling in the acid.
Step 4- Wait for all of them to reach the exit. This solution is different from
most versions.

it in this version, instead, we have.. Sega Seas. It's a longer level, but
possible. (And it was Level Tricky 25) You'll first need one builder to prevent
falling on the water, and use the second one if you don't want the guy to jump
off. Use a climber and prepare the way as this: build S to E, build E to A,
build A to S, (.. yes they can climb the S, strangely it's a straight wall) ...
then, don't worry about the small hole, they climb it... next, go up and punch
the wall, build over the little lake,.. then, don't mind the step, bash the
ring, ..... oh my god, we're out of bashers here!! ... we'll have to take the
longer turn down there, dig the caldron.. and down there.. you'll need to spend
one more builder there, and now, on the very right, see that tube there? ..
it's a trap, an oil drop falls and kills the Lemming,.. this is set on the
floor, so, build as soon as you get near the thing, go building, hit the wall,
build left, and right, and climb to the last 'sea', build three times (two if
you can do it really close), and then you can bring the other guy, be careful
as he'll have to use one more ladder to find the exit.

System.. if you think it will be too high, dig the block a little,... it has to
be an exact spot where there will be no wall to the right.. and then rebuild
the ladder, they all come and reach the end.
How to 100%: There certainly is a way to 100% this level.. you'll have to spend
some diggers and builders on the left to create a wall.. and make it possible
for them to come back to the bowl there..

Step 1- Have the first guy be a floater, the second one too, but the first one
should be working on building the ladder, so the next 18 survive the fall.
Step 2- Go over everything with a climber, and bash the wall with other Lemming
so they don't get too hard to choose the direction, .. now set the release rate
to 99.
Step 3- That guy over there.. when you know he's above the first stepping stone
you make him dig, and make the basher stop by building.
Step 4- Eventually the digger will reach the stone, build the ladder on the
edge, and he'll reach ceiling and turn back, build another ladder to reach the
wall,..
Step 5- Now when you start that last building,.. bring the others along by
bashing the rest of the wall, or mining,
How to 100%: By following these steps you should reach 100%.
Just for the record, Stepping Stones on other versions is a different level,
where you go over a cliff and has to use your builders to reach little stones
in the air.. and this one on other versions is Mayhem 21, called 'With a Twist
of Lemming Please'.

Level Mayhem 18: Sega Four

How to do: Remember Level Taxing 21? It's back, and now you have to use a very
limited supply of items... but.. everyone can still be a climber for that part
where there is a wall. Well, in steps:
Step 1- Have your first Lemming out to hit the wall and mine his way after
some steps, .. the second one will have to go, become a .. blocker, but the
miner will release him, it's just to stop the third Lemming out to fall to his
death.
Step 2- When the miner is out of the wall, make the second guy a blocker, so
the others are stuck back there and then... it will be easy to bash under him.
Step 3- Now, dig, build, dig, build, dig, build, you'll see how with the level
right in front of you.. and then bring the others.
Step 4- Make him a climber at this point.. go up, and you have the nastiest
part to do now, right after bashing the wall.. (higher part please)
Step 5- You'll have two builders left.. make him a blocker after one ladder,
and bring along the guys making all of them climbers. They have to make that
last ladder,.. and have everyone back there reach the end of this level in
time.
How to 100%: To make the ladder without needing a blocker,... I think this is a
technicallity, but ... on step 4 you'll have to go like this: have the guy bash
a higher part, and right when he's finished, you'll use that last miner, have
him go 3 mines and dig, dig a hole to the lower part, you see where this is
going? Right before he would reach steel, make him go with the last bashing, so
everyone that comes here will go to the hole and climb right.... and then when
the guy is finished climbing back, build right away, it is possible to have one
builder to spare, even.

Level Mayhem 19: Time to Get Up!

How to do: Remember Level Tricky 11? You will have to build all that ladder
again, but let's go with steps..
Step 1- First one out go close the hole on the left,.. second and third, make
them bomber, yes, bombers, and have them climb the wall.. they climb fast,
should be a 'train and get right' thing..
Step 2- Once you closed the hole, have your lemmings work on the big ladder. A
second ladder should be built where they come off, so they don't die from
height.
Step 3- Getting there is the easy part, now you'll have to bomb your little
Lemmings, and explode the wall... the worst part is the second wall. You can
explode them after blocking (only twice), so block the nearest possible.
Step 4- If you feel they're going down, use builders too.. you can usually use
6 or 7 bombers on the last wall.. by finally exploding it, you can finish the
level, and.. as you can't use more bombers than needed, you'll always know when
you won.. or lost. The problem is timing them right..
Hint: Always test what a Lemming can climb there before giving up.. I've
managed to glitch this level in the past, so maybe they'll be able to finish
this level from below what's usually possible...
How to 100%: With best case scenario, you'll get around 60% here..

Step 1- Have the third Lemming out become a blocker. First one can bash the
wall, and the second one will turn back,..
Step 2- That second one, make him mine to free the blocker, but wait, wait for
him to go forth and back.. at the second time, he'll turn back again, and you
can free the blocker.
Step 3- While that happens, you'll have the first one outside, build some
ladders there, and the others should arrive almost exactly at the same time
the ladder is finished..
How to 100%: Or you can send one ahead and have the group inside mine the
blocker's feet.. this way you don't have to time things so tighter..

build twice, and let him fall, .. forget about the umbrellas.
Step 3- If you didn't reach the next floor with the crowd, that's fine, bash it
from there and all the others will follow the example, not dying from height
nor from fire.

How to do: This unique level isn't named Sega Number and no one can tell why..
Step 1- Have a blocker there. Lemmings out should bash that crystal and the
pillar, then hit a wall, there you can build to the right, two sets of ladder
should do.
Step 2- Send a climber to bash all those pillars,.. and don't worry about
heights, they can stand it.
Step 3- Mine that place and use a builder to turn back, so you have a wall
there too. All others should be brought to this point with a basher and a
builder.. and the Lemming ahead, build to the next part..
Step 4- Since you have 19 climbers, just bash, make them all climb the last
part and they should reach the exit just fine.
How to 100%: It is possible to toss items on that start in a way no one dies,
try building once more, or bashing the ground of a blocker.. oh and with 19
climbers, you'll have to throw that idea out and build 3 ladders at the end..

How to do: This level is long, really long, but it's very much possible with my
strategy:
Step 1- Go with builder, to the right (I know the exit is to the left, calm
down..) .. from the right part, use a basher to make them go up, like the level
name suggests,..
Step 2- Now build to the left to open a crack there.. and build in a way you
can reach the wall without hitting the "ceiling". Don't worry if other lemmings
are following, they fall to the portal place, it's open there.
Step 3- Now you'll probably have the Lemming turn back, using a blocker there
is a good idea, explode him after you're bashing the wall to the left
Step 4- If you're high enough, he'll fall to a place (floater please!) where
he'll be able to turn around and build a ladder to the others, until he hits
ceiling and come back to give a good bash to that sphere.
Step 5- Explode the guy on the ladder, and build again to bring the crowd.
How to 100%: I didn't think about it yet, but I always need a blocker there,..
shouldn't be hard to make him move again, there is a miner here..

How to do: Remember Level Fun 21? ... Well, this one won't be "Fun". But it
will be possible, because you have a good amount of blockers, you don't need to
be timing everything perfectly,..
Step 1- With the first wall, try to get a blocker as high as you can, where
they can reach. But only spend around 2 or 3 builders for this. Bomb the wall
in a descending way, they should reach the second step.
Step 2- Build like crazy, don't let anyone fall on the hole, spend 10-15
builders here if needed..
Step 3- Now for the next wall, you won't need as much as before, ..
Step 4- Watch out for the trap, you can blow it, or build over it, I prefer the
second option. .. if you still have 8 bombers in the inventory, you won at this
point. (If no one fell for the trap nor the hole)
I usually spend 8 bombers for the first wall and 2 for the second, .. which
gives 50% in the end.
How to 100%: Revive them with Phoenix Down, if you have some. ...oh wait, wrong
game.

Step 2- Immediately build, so he'll hit the ceiling and turn back..
Step 3- Build again, but from your previous ladder, so he'll not fall to much
on the edge,..
Step 4- Build in a way you get a clear shot on the wall, so there is fewest
danger of falling during a bash.
Step 5- Bash your way through this wall, if you get it just right, there will
be a thin layer of ground for you.
Step 6- Go down three stairs there.. build your way to the left part.
Step 7- If you come back, build right away, so he'll be turning to the wall,
bash it.
Step 8- Bash that thin pole.. and bash again, under the trap, there is a trap
there, a really nasty one.
Step 9- A last bash, and finally the exit.
How to 100%: If you get 50%, 75%, 66% here... I'm sure you were really angry in
the end..

How to do: At this point you already know how this works, you defeated at least
29 levels, at most, 119 of them. But I'll cover this level as much as I can too
because this is a Walkthrough, I have to continue walking the last steps
through.
Step 1- Go right, actually, run right, as the first Lemming will come from the
second portal, you'll hear him dying if you don't reach, anyway.
Step 2- Make him a builder, go over the first mountains and one-way walls, to
build their ladder over the water.
Step 3- When you start mining and bashing to the right.. start worrying about
the left side,.. they're going over the hills, mine with the second one to hold
the guys back there, and the guys ahead should build the path for the others.
Step 4- Build all the way over that archish structure, to walk on the bridge..
at this point, you'll have 5% completion, but how??
Step 5- Make everyone on the right side a climber.
Step 6- Build your last ladders on the left to reach the exit, build your way
so the others can achieve it too, and voila, selfdestruct the blocker, you won.
How to 100%: I think you don't have space enough to mine a wall on that right
corner.. so feel good enough for getting 95%..
Ok, here is the glitched 100% solution: That first guy on the right corner,
make him build,.. he'll hit the screen side, and go back, and others will feel
a wall there too... now, that's weird.

XIII- Prototype Version [00013]

There is another version of this game on Master System, so, I'll only tell the
differences I could see when tried it:
1- Buttons 1 and 2 are inverted, for everything. You're used to button 2 for
all actions? It's button 1 for selection, continue, .. and button 2 for preview
and main menu..
2- This is a terrible difference, that changes everything on strategy: When
your Lemming are stopped while building, hitting a wall or ceiling, he'll not
turn around, he'll try to proceed. If he's going to a cliff, chances are you
won't be able to save him, unless you have a miner or use more builders..
3- When you pause the game, your item menu is blocked and doesn't show which
item is selected. You click there with button 1, and it unpauses, sometimes
leaving you in a bad situation..
4- Some levels have slight differences, I didn't play it all, but in Level
Tricky 04 (Here's One I Prepared Earlier), right after the hill, a rock was
there, but in this version, it's missing.
5- Talking about bashers, you have to be closer to the wall to use it, .. I
mean even closer! If you use it like normal version, they just don't bash the
wall.. and if you're digging and try to change to bashing, the Lemming will
just stop.
6- The preview of a level is just a left-to-right sidescroll through the level,
quickly, and then it starts immediately.
7- I don't know if it's a specific glitch or it happens in the official version
too, but... I was digging the letter E on Level Fun 20 (Sega One), and changed
to mining,.. the Lemming crossed the air mining, and mined all letter G too,
and then stopped. Really weird glitch.
8- Some levels have different percentages for Lemmings to be saved,.. I just
remember seeing a 73% there, don't remember now which level was.

XIV- Game Gear Version [00014]

Game Gear version comes directly from Master System, with some other different
details:
1- Screen is shorter (oh really?) ... I mean VERTICALLY shorter... that means
you'll have trouble digging a cell on some levels..
2- Musics have slight differences on the ear, and they are 50hz only.
3- Menus are hidden, you only see the time left, number of Lemmings, percentage
saved, and the item chosen, with a number for stock. When you put the cursor
down there, you can choose the items / skills, and the release rate is on the
right, just left to the selfdestruct mechanism.
4- Levels have shortened names, sometimes it changes the meaning,.. as far as I
played, the differents are:

Well, the game designers, gameFAQs for hosting it, and my parents =P
Thanks to Maxim - for the VGM Pack, got most of the soundtrack information from
there.. and the password list was started here on GameFAQs, .. some codes were
wrong, and the SMSPower list were really helpful correcting the mistakes (I was
searching for the Level Fun 01 password, .. if it exists) >_>
Thanks to Adam and his channel on Youtube [SMSLemmings], I was lazy to play the
levels again on Tricky mode, so I used his videos to get alternate solutions
and information on each level.
