001-General Information
-----------------------------------------------------------

This is a walkthrough for the Gameboy game called Kwirk.
It's a puzzle game.  You star as Kwirk (a tomato with
sunglasses, so you know he's cool) who is trying to save
his girlfriend Tammy.  You can e-mail me at
[email protected], but make the subject blank
if you do.  If you want to reproduce this guide, you need
to ask my permission because this guide took forever (over
a year) for me to make.

002-Big Overview
-----------------------------------------------------------

When the game starts, you can choose one of three modes.
The Going Up? mode is basically the real game.  The Heading
Out? mode is pretty much a practice mode.  The Versus Mode
pits you in competition with a friend.

Each mode has three levels.  The levels are 1 (easy), 2
(average), 3 (hard).  There are ten floors in each Going
Up? level, so you can choose which one you want.  In Heading
Out?, you can choose the number of rooms you want (up to
100).

Once you've decided what you're doing, you get to choose the
camera angle.  In both views, the levels are the same.  The
difference is that in Bird's Eye View, you see the top of
Kwirk's head and in Diagonal View, you see his profile.

I'll draw pictures for each room you have to go through.
Here's the key for those pictures:

B = block
W = wall
P = paddle wheel
H = hole
K = Kwirk
F = friend (Kwirk's friends shows up sometimes)
S = start (where you start)
E = end (where you go to complete the room)

In Going Up?, you can press A to make a menu pop up.  You
can either redo the room, end your game, or take back a
move.  In Heading Out?, press A to reset the room.

In this guide I have two versions of how to beat the level.
The first version is simply directions (one up, two left,
and so on) and the second version tells you what to do,
step by step (Push the upper/right block left twice, then
flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces right,
and so on).

003-Going Up?
-----------------------------------------------------------

Okay, Going Up? is nice and easy.  Well, not really.  But
compared to Heading Out?, in which the levels are in random
order, it's much easier to write a guide for.

003a-Level One

How to get through (simple version):

Move three left, one up, five left, one down, three right,
one up, five left, one down and three left.

How to get through (step by step):

Get to spot one right of the top of the paddle wheel on the
right (in between the paddle wheel and the wall).  Walk
left, which sets the paddle wheel so the side without a
paddle is facing up.  Walk left to the next paddle.  Stand
in the upper right hand corner of the paddle wheel and
move down, setting that paddle downwards.

Go three right (so you're in the lower left corner of the
paddle wheel).  Go up once, thus setting the paddlewheel
in its original position.  Go as far left as possible.

Once you're as far left as possible, go down once.  This
sets the left paddlewheel into its original position, but
you're left of it this time.  From there, walk left to the
stairs.

How to get through (simple version):

Move four left, one down, two left, two right, two up, one

How to get through (step by step):

Move the block on the bottom all the way left.  Move the
block on the top left once and from there, push the middle
block down to where the bottom block was.  From there, walk
left to the exit.

How to get through (simple version):

Move five left, two down, one right, up twice, two down,
one left, one up, one right, two down and five left.

How to get through (step by step):

Get to the corner of the paddle wheel (since there are two
paddles, there is only one corner).  Move down, then push
the block up all the way.  Move the paddlewheel back in its
original position and then get to the exit.

How to get through (simple version):

Go three left, two down, one left, one up, one right, three
up, five left, two down and five left.

How to get through (step by step):

Move the block as far up as it will go.  Then push the
block left (do this while being against the upper wall).
When it falls through the hole and creates a floor, walk
through that floor to the exit.

Note that you can also move the block as far down as it
will go, push it left while being against the lower wall,
and exit that way.

How to get through (simple version):

Move the block one up and flip the paddle wheel.  Move the
block all the way to the left and flip the paddle wheel.
Move the block to the hole and exit.

How to get through (simple version):

Move one down, three left, one up, four left and one up.
Press select to switch to Kwirk's friend.  Move him one up,
three left, one down, one left, one up, one right, one up,
three left and one down.  Switch back to Kwirk and move
him one down.  Switch to Kwirk's friend and move him four
left and one down.  Then move Kwirk one down, three left,
and one down.

How to get through (step by step):

Have Kwirk move the block left twice and send him into
the upper left hand corner that he can reach (the one that
is that is the farthest left).  Switch to Kwirk's friend
(by pressing select) and have him move the block to the
square below Kwirk.  Switch to Kwirk and have him push the
block down once.  Switch to Kwirk's friend and have him
push the block into the hole, then exit.  Have Kwirk exit
as well.

How to get through (simple version):

Go three left, one up, two left, two up, one right, one

How to get through (step by step):

Move the three paddle wheels on the right (the ones with a
single paddle) so that their paddles face right.  Move one
of the paddle wheels with two paddles so that it is
horizontal.  Get to the area right of the paddlewheels, then
set the three one-paddle paddlewheels right.  Move the second
two-paddle paddlewheel horizontally and then go through the
four-paddle paddlewheel to the exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Move the rightmost block left once and up once.  Get to
its upper left hand corner and push it right.  Push the
smaller block (2 by 1) down twice and push the block
right of it right once.

Push the small block that is farthest left (of the three
that are there) up once.  Push the block right of it right
once.  From there, get to the block that is farthest left,
push it up and exit.

How to get through (simple version):

Move two left, one down, one left, one right, two up, one
left, one down, one left, two down, four up, two left,
three down, four left and one up.

How to get through (step by step):

See the three blocks on the right?  Let's name the upper
one block 1, the middle one block 2 and the lower one
block 3.

Move blocks 1 and 3 left and move block 2 where block 3
used to be.  Move block 3 all the way down and move block
1 all the way up.

Flip the two paddles so their corners are on the right.
Then flip the third paddle and exit.

How to get through (simple version):

Move Kwirk one down, eight left, two up, one right, one
down, one left, three up and one right.  Switch to
Kwirk's friend and move him three left, two down, one
right, four up, two left, one down, one right, two up and
two left.  Switch to Kwirk and move him one up, three left
and three down.  Move Kwirk's friend five left and down
four.

How to get through (step by step):

Let's name the paddles to make it easier.  Paddle one is the
upper left, paddle two is right of it.  Paddle three is in
the middle (the one on the left) and paddle four is right
of it.  Paddle five is in the lower left and paddle six
is in the lower right.

Have Kwirk move paddles five and six so their corners face
the lower left corner of the room (Kwirk needs to be left
of them).  Switch to Kwirk's friend.  Have him move paddle
four and paddle two so their corners face the lower right
corner of the room.

Switch to Kwirk and have him push paddle one up so its corner
faces the upper right corner of the room.  Have Kwirk exit
the room.  Then have Kwirk's friend get to the exit by going
across the top wall.

How to get through (step by step):

Go down once and move leftmost L-paddle so it faces the
up/right corner.  Flip the lower 3-paddle so its side
without a paddle faces left.  Move the highest L-paddle so
it faces the up/left corner.  Flip the leftmost L-paddle
so it faces the up/left corner.  Flip the L-paddle right
of that one so it faces the up/right corner.

Back to the leftmost L-paddle.  Flip it so it faces the
up/right corner.  Then flip the leftmost 3-paddle so its
side without a paddle faces down.  Flip the leftmost
L-paddle so it faces the up/left corner and flip the
L-paddle right of it to face the up/left corner, too.

Attack the rightmost L-paddle from the left and flip it
so it faces the up/right corner.  Flip the rightmost
3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces left.  Push
the block all the way left, then exit.

Move block 7 down once and right eight times.  Move block 1
as far left as possible and block 2 as far right as
possible.  Flip the 3-paddle and get block 2 into hole a.

How to get through (step by step):

Push the bottom 1 by 1 block up into hole (make sure it
is against the left wall).  Push the rightmost 3 by 1 block
down and push the 1 by 1 block so it is above the
rightmost 2 by 1 block.

Push the rightmost 3 by 1 block one right and all the
way up.  Push the 2 by 1 block left into the hole.  Push
the 1 by 1 block above where you pushed the last one
by one block and exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Actually, this floor isn't that hard.  Unlike floor 2, you
don't have a lot of options when it comes to putting blocks
in holes.  The only thing that makes this level so long is
the large amount of positioning you have to do.

Move the upper/middle block into the left/middle hole,
which is the only hole large enough to put the block in.
Make sure there the block is as low as possible before it
goes in the hole (there are only two ways for it to go into
the hole, so do the one that is lower).

Once the hole is full, this gives you access to a block.
Push it into the middle/right hole.  This is the only hole
it fits in and you can only push it in one way.  This
gives you access to another block.

Use this block to fill the lower/left hole.  The hole can
be only filled one way.  Move the block into the
upper/right hole (only one way to fill it) to give you
access to a 2 by 2 block.

Move the 2 by 2 block into the lower/right hole (again,
only way to do this).  Move the block you get into the
upper/left hole (make sure the block is as high as it can
be before pushing it in).  Push the remaining block into
the hole right of the stairs (only one way to do this),
then exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Move the lower left paddle so it faces the upper left
corner.  Move the upper/right L-paddle so it faces the
upper right corner.  Use the 4-paddle left of that to push
the block left three times.  Use the 4-paddle again to push
the upper/right L-paddle so it faces the bottom right.
Push the block down four times.

Using the paddles, get to the right side of the 3-paddle,
and push it so its side without a paddle faces down.  Push
the block left twice and down twice.  Then push it all the
way left into the hole.  Exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Push the lower/left block left once and push the
upper/left block up and right so it covers the small hole
above the wall in the middle of the room (it does not fill
the hole because it is too big, it only covers it).

Find the block that is one wide and three tall.  Push it
all the way; it is next to the block that covers the hole.

Push the 1 by 1 block left once and up three times.
Push the only block that goes left/right (a 3 by 1) up
against the wall.

There is only one block you haven't touched yet, a 2 by 1.
Push it down once, left four times, down once, left three
times, up three times and left twice into the hole.  Since
the block is a 2 by 1, there are two places you can
push it left from.  Don't forget that.

Push the 1 by 1 block left once, two down and two left
(into a hole).  Exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Let's take a look at our overall goals before beating this
level...the two blocks along the right wall cannot be moved
left, so therefore they'll have to fill in that hole on the
right wall.  The single block in the bottom right will have
to fill the gap below the three paddle in the lower left.
Also, the block that is two wide and one high will have to
fill the gap right of the stairs.  These are our overall
goals.

Push the 2 by 1 left of where you start once to the right.
Get to the highest/left three paddle and flip it so its
side without a paddle faces right.  Push a 3 by 1 block up
so it is right of the three paddle.  Push the other three
paddle in that area so its side without a paddle faces up.

Push the 3 by 1 block right to give you access to the right
side of the screen.  Push the 1 by 1 block that is against
the wall down into a hole.  See the two L-paddles at the
top?  Flip them so they both face the lower/right and push
a 3 by 1 up so it is left of the left L-paddle.

Use the L-paddle below here to get to the lower/right part
of the screen.  Push the block that is against the wall up
into the hole.  Flip the L-paddles on the bottom so they
both face the upper/right.  Flip the L-paddle in the
middle/right so it faces down/right.

Get to the 1 by 1 block.  Look at the left wall.  See how
there's a 1 by 1 piece of wall sticking out at the top?
Push the 1 by 1 block until it is right of that.  Once you
do that, go back and flip the middle/right L-paddle so it
faces up/right.

Okay, so the 1 by 1 block is in the upper/left area.  Push
the lower of the two 3-paddles so its side without a paddle
faces left.  Push the 1 by 1 block up twice, then get above
the block and push it all the way down (it's a long way).
Then push it right once into the hole.

Flip the lowest/left 3-paddle so its side without a paddle
faces right.  Push the 3 by 1 block down so it is right of
the 3-paddle.  Push the 3 by 1 block right of that right
once and down twice.

How to get through (step by step):

Get in the upper/right corner of the block structure.  Left
of you is a 1 by 1 block, below you is a 1 by 1
block, right of you is a wall.  Push the 1 by 1 block
left into the hole and the other block down once.

Push the 3 by 1 block left once, down once and left once.
There's only one 1 by 1 block you can move left/right from
here.  Move it left twice and down into a hole.

Go down once more (you push a block down).  Push the 2 by 1
left of you left once and up into the hole.  Move the 2 by
1 block on the right to the right (against a wall).

There should be two 1 by 1 blocks one the row that is
second from the bottom wall.  Push the righter block right
once, go up once and left once.  Push the block above you
up until you can go right.  Once you can, push the block
down once and left into the hole.

There are two 1 by 1 blocks on the left.  You want to push
them into the hole right where you pushed the last 1 by 1
block.  This way you form a bridge to the left side of
the room.  When this is done, there should be a 1 by 1
hole on the right side.

Get to the left side of the room.  Push the 2 by 1 block
all the way down, then push the 1 by 1 block right of it up
into a hole.

Get back to the right side of the room.  A 1 by 1 block is
in between two walls.  Push it down twice and push the
block below it left twice.  Move this block to the left
side of the room, push it all the way up and right once.

Do the same thing with the other 2 1 by 1 blocks in the
lower/right area.  They form a bridge to the top of the
room.  Go across it and exit.

How to get through (step by step):

Move Kwirk along the passage.  Without pushing any blocks,
get him right beneath the 1 by 1 block.  Press select,
and have Kwirk's friend push the 2 by 1 (the one right of
the block Kwirk is under) all the way down.  Move Kwirk's
friend in the space one above and one left of the 1 by 1
Kwirk is under.

Press select until you get back to Kwirk.  Have him one up,
and move him so he is one above the 2 by 1 on the right.
Press select and have Kwirk's friend push the 1 by 1
block right of him all the way to the right.  Have him push
the lowest 2 by 1 block all the way to the right and do
the same with the 1 by 1 block that is one above the 2 by
1.  Have Kwirk's friend flip the paddle so it faces the
upper right.  He should now be trapped.

Press select to go to Kwirk's second friend (the one you
haven't moved yet).  Have him follow along the passage,
and move the 1 by 1 block up twice.  Push the 1 by 1
block (one up of the one he pushed up twice) all the way to
the right, then push the 1 by 1 you pushed up twice down
twice, so it is in its original position.

Switch to Kwirk.  Have him move one down and one up.  Press
select to get to Kwirk's friend and have him move right
twice.  Have him use the paddle on the right to get to the
highest area (the paddle should face up/left).  Switch to
Kwirk's second friend.  Have him flip the left L-paddle so
it faces the lower/right.  Have him move the 2 by 1 (the
one that is in the same row as Kwirk, but to the left) as
far right as possible, which traps Kwirk.  Move him down
once.

Press select twice to get to Kwirk's friend.  Make him
move the 2 by 1 left and move the 3 by 1 down.  Have
him the three by two down all the way.  Left of that is a
1 by 1 below a hole, have him push the block into the hole.
Do the same thing for the 2 by 1 left of that and
exit.

You switch to Kwirk's second friend automatically.  Move
the block directly left of Kwirk either up or down and
then exit.  You switch to Kwirk automatically.  Have him
push the block left of him left and have him go around the

Well, this level isn't so hard.  You don't have to move
around so much.  The challenge is figuring out how to push
the blocks out of the way and lucky for you, I'll tell
you.

Push the highest/right 2 by 1 down once and move the 2 by
1 block right of it right all the way.  Push the upper/right
block up and push the 2 by 1 block down, then left.  Go
down through the lower/right L-paddle.

Okay, on the right hand side will be 3 2 by 2 blocks.  They
are stacked on top of each other, except the middle one is
one left of the top and bottom ones.  See it?  Push the top
one up all the way, the bottom one left all the way and
the middle one up all the way.

Get in the area below a 2 by 1 and above a 2 by 2.  Push

How to get through (step by step):

Go left, than down.  In doing this, you flip a L-paddle so
it faces down/left and you push a 1 by 1 block into a
hole.

Push the big 2 by 2 block one down and two left.  See all
the L-paddles in the lower right (there are four)?  Flip
the upper/right one so it faces down/left.

Without touching any paddles, get to the 2 by 1 block (2
wide, 1 high) and push it right).  Push the 1 by 1 block
down into the hole (you can now reach it) and push another
1 by 1 block right into a hole.  Push the 3 by 1 block up
three times.

Use the lowest L-paddle (you can only flip it one way) and
then go straight up (you flip another paddle) as far as you
can go, thus pushing the 2 by 2 block up once.

Go down twice and right twice (you flip the upper/left of
the four paddles earlier).  Flip the paddle below the one
you just flipped so it faces the upper left.

Flip the upper/right of the four paddles so it faces
down/right.  Push the 2 by 1 all the way left.  Push it
up, way up (make sure that there is one space between it
and the hole there; you may have to flip a paddle to get
there).

Flip the upper/right of the four paddles earlier so it
faces up/left and that you are below it.  Travel along the
wall to get to the right side of a block 2 high, 1 wide.
Push it three left.

Push the block 2 wide, 1 high down and all the way left.
Push the 1 by 1 block 2 left and flip the 1-paddle so it
faces right.

See the hole that is 2 high and 1 wide (above the
1-paddle)?  Push the 2 by 1 block (below a L-paddle) into
the hole.  Push the other 2 by 1 block (the one where there
is a space between the top of it and a hole) and push it
all the way down.

Get back to the top/right corner.  Push the highest
L-paddle so it faces up/left.  This gives you access to
a 3 by 1.  Push it down seven times.  Go back up and
flip the 1 paddle so it faces up.

Get to the rightmost L-paddle in that area and flip it so
it faces up/right.  Get to the right side of the 1 by 1
block and push it left into a hole.

Now you'll be wanting to get to the lower/left part of the
screen.  Push the 2 by 1 block (2 wide, 1 high, it's in the
middle/left) all the way up.

Flip the L-paddle in the lower/left so it faces up/left.
Flip the 1-paddle so it faces up and push the 2 by 1 left
against the wall.

See the 1 by 1 in that general area?  Push it two left and
two up (into a hole right of the 1-paddle).  Push the 2 by
2 block one left, two up and three left into a hole.

You are right by a 1 by 1 block (it is 2 away from the top
wall).  Push it right twice.  Push the block above it once,
and flip the L-paddle right of the 1 by 1 block so it faces
down/right.

Push the 1 by 1 block one left, three down, two left and
all the way down (into a hole).  Get to the lower/right
area.

See the 1 by 1 block?  Push it up three times (you have to
flip the 1-paddle so it faces down to do this), then push
it left.  Get it into the hole blocking your exit (in the
lower left; there is only one way to push the block into

Get back to the lower/right corner.  See the 3 by 3 block?

Push the top 1-paddle right (you will not move the leftmost
1-paddle at all).  Push that 1 by 1 block right once and
push the highest 2 by 1 right into a hole.  See the 3 by 1?
Push it all the way down.

Push upper/rightmost (1 by 1) block all the way down into
a hole.  Move the rightmost 1 by 1 block all the way up,
and push the 3 by 1 block all the way up.  Push the 2 by 1
block right twice.

Using the L-paddle, push the 2 by 1 block one down, one

How to get through (step by step):

Well, to exit, you'll have to put five blocks into the long
hole.  There are also 2 1 by 1 holes.  With 7 1 by 1 blocks,
that means you'll have to fill up every single hole.

You start by two blocks.  Push the lower one down into a
hole, flip the L-paddle so it faces up/right.  Push the
lowest block on the screen one right so it falls into a
hole.

See the highest 1-paddle?  Move it so it faces left and
push the upper/left 1 by 1 block 1 left.  Push the lower
1-paddle so it faces left (you must push a block one
right to do so).  See the 1 by 1 block right beneath the
L-paddle?  Push it one left, thereby putting it under the
lower 1-paddle.

You'll have to go around the big lot of blocks to get above
the L-paddle.  Flip it so it faces down/right and that you
are below it.

Flip the higher 1-paddle so it faces up.  Flip the L-paddle
so it faces up/right.  Push the 1 by 1 block that is
between the 1-paddles one left.  Flip the L-paddle so it
faces down/right and you are beneath it.  Remember the 1 by
1 block you just moved (2 sentences ago)?  Move it one up,
and flip the upper 1-paddle so it faces down.

Get to the left part of the screen.  Move up and flip the
3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces down.  You'll
be right next to a 1 by 1 block.   Push it three right.
You'll end up directly over a 1 by 1 block.

Push the 1 by 1 block four down (there is only 1 block you
can push four down without touching any paddles).  Then
push it all the way left.  Using the 3-paddle, get above it
and push it down into the hole.

Okay, that means you've finished with three of the blocks.
Four remain.

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces down.
Flip the L-paddle so it faces up/right.  Push the
upper/left 1 by 1 block left once, five down, all the way
left and all the way down (using the 3-paddle) into the
hole.

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces down.
Push the highest 1 by 1 block three left and five down.
As you did with the two other blocks, push it all the way
left than all the way down by using the 3-paddle.

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces right
(you probably won't have to).  There are two blocks left on
the screen, push the higher of the two left twice.

Use the 3-paddle to get above the 1 by 1 block.  Push it
one down, all the way left and then down.

One block remains.  Flip the 1-paddles so they face up (do
the upper one first).  Flip the L-paddle so it faces
up/right.

Push the remaining block one right and two up.  Flip the
L-paddle so it faces up/left.  Push the block as far left
as you can.

Using the 3-paddle, push the block one down, all the way
left and all the way down.  Ta-da!!!  The hole is no more!
Walk to the stairway and exit.

To simplify things, let's name the four characters.  Kwirk
is on the far left.  Right of him is friend 1 (looks like a
water drop), right of friend 1 is friend 2 (looks like a
hot dog...you can distinctly see the mustard) and the last
character, on the far right, is friend 3 (looks like a
chili pepper).  Remember that you switch among the
characters by pressing select.

Okay, move Kwirk four down, one left, one down, one left,
and one down.  Move Friend 1 four left, one right and

Kwirk stand left of it.  Have Friend 1 push the leftmost
big block all the way left against the left wall.  Move
Friend 1 so he is in the little niche in the bottom wall
(he will be in the square one right and one below the 1 by
1 block).  Move Kwirk one right and have him flip the
bottom/left L-paddle so it faces up/left.  See how there is
a space between the bottom of the L-paddle Kwirk flipped
and the middle long block?  Move Friend 1 there and move
him one down (have him move the 1 by 1 block up a few times
to be able to do this; don't move the 1 by 1 block left or
right).

Have Friend 2 push the middle long block one left.  Have
Friend 1 push the middle long block one up and have Kwirk
push it one right (he can't do it if Friend 2 is in the
way).

Have Friend 1 flip the lower/left L-paddle so it faces
down/right and make sure Friend 1 is in the little area the
paddle covers (wall will be below him and to the right of
him; paddle will be above and to the left of him).

Have Kwirk move the 1 by 1 block so it is one above the
niche I talked about earlier (not in the niche, though).
Have Kwirk be one left of it.  Have Friend 2 push the
middle long block all the way left and have Kwirk push it
up.  Move Kwirk to the bottom/left corner of the screen (it
will be one above the lowest you can go in this screen).

Have Friend 1 flip the paddle he is under so it faces
up/right.  Have him push the 1 by 1 block left once and
put him in the niche.  Have Kwirk push the block one right,
Friend 1 push it one up, Kwirk push it one right and
Friend 1 push it two up.

Have Friend 1 flip the bottom/left L-paddle so it faces
up/left.  Have him flip the upmost L-paddle so it faces
down/left.  Imagine for a second that Friend 3 pushed the
last long block one left.  Where would Friend 1 have to be
so that once the block was moved, Friend 1 could push it
one down?  Get Friend 1 there.

Have Friend 3 push the rightmost long block one left and
have Friend 1 push it one down (if the imagining didn't
work for you, have Friend 3 push the block one left, then
see where I'm talking about, go back a move (Press A and
choose back) and then move Friend 1 there).

Once the block has been moved one left and one down, have
Kwirk push it one right (he can't do it if Friend 3 is in
the way).  Have Friend 1 flip the upmost L-paddle so it
faces up/right.

Okay, now have Friend 3 push the rightmost long block as
far left as possible (it will be stopped at the bottom/left
L-paddle).  Push it one down, thus make it impossible to
move it or the bottom/left L-paddle ever again.

From here, all you have to do is push the 1 by 1 block into
the hole and have your characters exit.

How to get through (step by step):

You start out by two 1 by 1 blocks.  Move both of them
one spot (move the top one left and the lower one down).
Push the 2 by 2 block two left.

Push the 2 by 1 block here down and push a nearby 1 by 1
block up, into a hole.

There are two 3-paddles here; the left one has a 2-paddle
above it and the right one has a 1-paddle above it.  I'll
call the left paddle "R2" and the right one "Dilbert".

Without touching blocks, move Dilbert so you can get to the
top/left corner of the room where there are two blocks.
Push the upper of the two blocks one left, into the hole.

There are two blocks right of you; a 2 by 2 and a 2 by 1.
Push the 2 by 2 right one.  Go through Dilbert to get to
the right of the 2 by 1 and push it left twice, then go
through Dilbert again and push it up once.  Now the 2 by 1
is against a 1 by 1.

Rotate R2 so the side without a paddle faces left and flip
the paddle above so it faces up/right.  Push the 1 by 1
block (next to the 2 by 1 block) down past the paddles and
into a hole.

Push the 2 by 1 block into the top/left corner.  Push the
2 by 2 block left one and flip the 1-paddle (above
Dilbert) to the left.

Flip R2 so the side without a paddle is facing right.  Flip
the paddle above so it faces up/left.

Move the 1 by 1 block (under Dilbert) left five times, so
it is against R2.  Push it up twice.  Flip R2 so its side
without a paddle faces up and push the 2-paddle above R2
so it faces down/left.

Push the 1 by 1 block that you've been moving one up and
one left, so it is over the 2-paddle.  Flip Dilbert so its
side without a paddle faces up and move the 1 by 1 block
right so it is against a 2 by 2 block, by Dilbert.

Flip Dilbert so its side without a paddle faces right.
Maneuver around so you are above the 1 by 1 block without
touching any other blocks.  Push it down twice.  Flip
Dilbert so its side without a paddle faces down and push
the 1 by 1 block right into a hole.

Push the 2 by 1 block (2 wide) left twice.  Push the 1 by 1
block (near where the 2 by 1 block was; there is a space in
between it and a "corner" formed by two holes) up twice.

Push the 2 by 1 block (2 high) left once.  While in the
up/right paddle, flip it left, which leaves you above the
2 by 1 block.  Push it one down, one left and two down,
into a hole.  Flip the up/right paddle so it faces
down/right.

Push the 1 by 1 block (directly left of the up/right
paddle) one down, one right, one down and one right.
Then push the 2 by 1 block three right and down as far as
it can go.

A 1 by 1 block is left of the 2 by 1 block, so push the 1
by 1 block down into the hole below and push the 2 by 1
block right into the hole.

This frees up a lot of room.  While inside the up/right
paddle, flip it so it faces up/left.  This way you are
above the 1 by 1 block against the right wall.  Push it all
the way down into the hole in the lower/right corner.

Push the 1 by 1 block that is against the bottom wall (by
the lower/right corner) left into a hole.  Push the 1 by 1
block that is above where the hole was (it's against a 2 by
2 block) up into a hole.

Flip R2 and the paddle above so the side without a paddle
faces down.  Push the 1 by 1 block right, then go down into
the area and push the 2 by 2 block as far right as you can.

By flipping R2, get the two 1 by 1 blocks into the hole in
the lower/left (do it one block at a time) to reach the
exit.

How to get through (step by step):

First off, you'll want to clear the holes in the block
area.

Of the three 1 by 1 blocks on the bottom, push the highest
one left twice, then push the other two 1 by 1 blocks (the
left one first) left into the hole to get rid of the hole.

Do the same thing with the three 1 by 1 blocks on the top,
except you move the lowest of the three blocks left twice.

Push the 3 by 1 (3 high) left once.  There are two 2 by 1's
touching the 3 by 1.  Push the upper one up once and the
lower one down once.  Push both the two 2 by 1's (the two
that are 2 high) left once.

Push the highest 1 by 1 block one down and three right so
it is against a wall.  Push the lowest 1 by 1 block one up
and three right so it is against a wall as well.

Push the lowest 2 by 1 block (2 wide) two left and push
the 3 by 1 block (3 high) two down,  Push the 2 by 1 block
to your left left into the hole.

Push the highest 3 by 1 block down once.  Push the 1 by 1
block to your left left into the hole.  Push the highest 3
by 1 block two right, one up and seven left into the hole.

Move the 2 by 1 in the upper/right left twice.  Then push
the 3 by 1 (3 high) four up, so it is next to the 2 by 1
you just moved.

Move the 3 by 1 (three wide) one up.  Push the 1 by 1 block
to your left left into the hole.  Move the 3 by 1 (three
wide) four left, one up, one left and one up, into the
hole.

Push the 3 by 1 two down, seven left and one down, into
the hole.  Now, all the blocks in the block area are
symmetrical again.

Push one of the 2 by 1's (2 wide) so it is next to one of
the small 1 by 1 bits of wall in the hole (the bit that is
on the level that is one above the exit).  Push this block
two up, into the hole.

Push the other 2 by 1 (2 wide) against the same bit of
wall.  Then push it one up, one left, one up and one left.

Push the higher 2 by 1 down, so it is no longer the highest
piece of block (a 1 by 1 is now one higher than it).  Then
push the 2 by 1 two left, one up, two left, one up, one
left, one up and three left, into the hole.  Do the same
pushing motions for the other 2 by 1, which will leave you
with a 2 by 2 square of ground in the up/left area of the
room.

Push a 1 by 1 block into the lower/left corner of this 2 by
2 square and push the 1 by 1 block down into the hole.
Repeat this process for two of the remaining 1 by 1 blocks
and exit.

004-Heading Out?
-----------------------------------------------------------

In Heading Out? the rooms appear randomly.  To put them in
some sort of order, I listed the rooms with blocks in them
in order of how many blocks there are (the rooms with one
block comes first, then the two blocks and so on).  The
rooms without blocks follow them and they are listed in
order of the number of paddlewheels (one paddlewheel first,
two paddlewheels next and so on).

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE:

The programmers designed these levels so they can be
flipped upside-down.  Example: Say in one a L-paddle faces
up and you must flip it so it faces down and then you can
exit.  This room can show up again, however, it will be
upside-down.  It will face down and you will have to flip
it so it faces up to exit.

Look at the picture of the room just below this part.  See,
due to the way these rooms are programmed, this room can be
flipped without making much of a change.  So when trying to
go through this room, follow the instructions I gave, but
switch down with up and up with down.

How to get through (step by step):

You've got four of the little 1 by 1 blocks.  Get below
the bottom two.  Push the one on the right all the way up.
Push the one on the left one up and left into the hole.

Get to the top two blocks.  Push the one on the left down,
and then go around and push it left into the hole.

Of the two large blocks, push the bottom one all the way
left, one up and left into the hole.  Take the other large
block and push it into the hole.

Get one of the remaining two blocks and push it all the way
left into the hole like you did with the other blocks.  But
wait, that doesn't work; the block will just end up against
the wall.  Well, as soon as it's against the wall, get
above it and push it down in the hole.

Do the same thing with the other block and exit.

one up and one right, into a hole.

Flip the right 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces
right.  Go left across the floor, pushing a block into the
corner and flipping an L-paddle as you do.

A 1 by 1 block is in the lower/right area.  Use the
3-paddle to get right of it, then push it left across the
floor so it is next to the 1 by 1 block in the corner.

Flip the right 3-paddle so the side without a paddle faces
left.  Flip the two L-paddles so they both face up/right.
There is a column of three 1 by 1 blocks.  Push the bottom
one down, the top one left to the wall and the middle one
up to the ceiling.  Flip the left 3-paddle so you can exit.

Push the lowest 3 by 1 left once so it is directly under
another 3 by 1.  Push the higher 1 by 1 down once, so you
can push the right 3 by 1 right and the lower 1 by 1 down.

Push the upper 2 by 1 right twice so you can push the lower
2 by 1 down.  Push the upper 3 by 1 (3 wide) left twice.
Push the upper 2 by 1 left once and push the upper 1 by 1
up twice.

Push the righter 3 by 1 down against the floor and push the
upper 2 by 1 right against the wall.  Push the 1 by 1 one
down and one right.  By pushing the upper 2 by 1 up, you
can push the 1 by 1 right against the wall and then down,
into a hole, then exit.

Push the top 1 by 1 block two left, so it is against the
L-paddle.  Push the bottom 1 by 1 all the way down and then
push it one left (you push a 2 by 1 right to do so).

There is a 1 by 1 above the 2 by 2.  Push this 1 by 1 one
left and then all the way down.  Push the 2 by 2 one up.

Go through the two L-paddes (the two in the upper/left) and
push the 3 by 1 three right.  Go back through the two
L-paddles and push the 1 by 1 down.  Go through the
L-paddles again and push the 1 by 1 right once.  Go through
the L-paddles one last time and exit.

Move the 2 by 1 block up once.  A 1 by 1 block is one left
and one above the 2 by 1 block.  Move this 1 by 1 block all
the way up and then left into a hole.

Move the lowest 1 by 1 block two left.  Move the 1 by 1
block (the one directly under a hole) up into a hole.  Move
the 1 by 1 block (the one directly left of a hole) right
into a hole.

Move the 1 by 1 block (the one touching the 3-paddle) left
once.  Move the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces
left and push the 1 by 1 block (the one that was touching
the 3-paddle) down as far as it can go.

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces down.
Flip the 1-paddle so it faces left.  Move the 1 by 1 block
(the only one you can move; of the three blocks in the
lower/left corner, it's the up/right one) three right, two
up, one right and two up.

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces up and
that you are beneath the 3-paddle.  Push the 1 by 1 block

Flip the 3-paddle so its side without a paddle faces left.
Flip it so its side without a paddle faces down, but do
this through the top (so you end up/left of the
paddlewheel).

Of the two blocks against the top wall, push the left one
left against the wall and push the right one right three
times.  Push the right 2 by 1 right once and up once.

Push the block left of you into a hole.  Push the leftmost
block up as far as it will go.  Push a block into the hole

How to get through (step by step):

Go left, knocking the first block into the hole.  Knock the
block above into the hole so you are against the top wall.
Knock all of the blocks here (against the top wall) left
into the hole.

When you're as far left as you can be but still against the
top wall, there is a block beneath you.  Push the two
blocks in this column (a vertical row) down.  Do the same
thing for the column containing the highest block after
that.

There's a block between the two columns you went down.  Get
right of this block, then push it left into the hole.  Then
push the block above you into the hole and exit.

well.  Go up through the leftmost paddle that faces
right/down.

Go down through the leftmost paddle and push the
bottom/left paddle so it faces up/right.  Go up through the
leftmost paddle, down through the paddle just right of it,
left through the bottom/left paddle, then exit.

005-Versus Mode
----------------------------------------------------------

In Versus Mode, you connect your Gameboy to your friend's
Gameboy.  The two of you then play Heading Out? with the
number of rooms you choose.  The first person to complete
all of the rooms is the winner.

If you need help beating Versus mode, look above at the
Heading Out? section, because all of the puzzles in Versus
Mode come from there.
