Intro

Hey, its me again, Shark404, here to help you on this game. If you
didn't know, I've written a guide for G&WG3, part three of the Game and
Watch Gallery series. This game is part one of the series. This game
has less games but it is still fun. That's about all I have to say (I'm
not the type that can write long speeches).

Guide

Manhole
A: diagonal
B:
Up: top
Down: bottom
Left: left
Right: right

In this game, you are Yoshi and you have to save Mario, Toad, or D.K.
The object is to get them across without falling. They can't get across
unless the bridges are up. If one of the bridges are down, and they try
to walk across, they'll fall you'll get a miss. To keep the bridges up,
you must move Yoshi under one of the bridges and he will hold the
bridge up. As you get farther, it will become harder and harder.

---

Fire
A: right
B: left
Up:
Down:
Left: left
Right: right

In the modern version of this game, you are Mario and Luigi and you
must save the Toads, the D.K.s, and the Yoshi from the fire in the
castle. To save them, you must get them into the carriage thing. To get
tem to the carriage thing, you must move the stretcher under the
falling characters. Every time they bounce on the stretcher, they move
over, you have to move the characters all the way over to get into the
carriage thing. The farther you progress, the harder it will be. If you
have a miss at 200 points, Peach will come out and give you a heart,
which takes away one miss. The classic version is almost the same
except there are no Nintendo characters, you have to get the people
into the ambulance, and the people can fall from different heights.

---

Octopus
A: advance pickup
B:
Up: return
Down: advance pickup
Left: return
Right: advance pickup

In the modern version if this game, you are Mario and you have to get
the octopus's treasure. To get his treasure, Mario has to go
underwater, dodge the octopus's tentacles, load up on treasure, dodge
the octopus's tentacles on the way back up, and give the treasure to
Peach. You have to carefully time the octopus's tentacles and you gave
to be careful about how much treasure you take. The more treasure you
take, the slower Mario will move. If you have a miss at 200 points, you
will get a heart which takes away one miss. The classic version is the
same except there are no Nintendo characters and the octopus is faster.

Here are some tips for the Modern Version of Oil Panic
1. On your lower screen you have probably noticed Bowser on top of the
castle. He faces in the direction of an oil drop. He faces the left the
middle and the right. When 2 oil drops come down Bowser faces the oil
coming down last, that's your cue to get the drop away from where
Bowser is facing first then quickly get back and get the other oil
drop.
2. If you fill both of your buckets and feed it to Yoshi he will spit
out a block get four blocks on one side and Yoshi will jump on them and
spit out a fireball at Bowser giving you pts. Galore! You can get coins
out of blocks and a heart after getting 200 pts.
