Fish Dude (or Uoozu in Japan) is an addictive romp for the Game Boy. You are
a small fish in a big sea, and the objective is to eat smaller fish while
avoiding being eaten by larger ones. The fish appear at random, and the
stages are maze-like in appearance, giving you many little nooks to swim
through and hide from larger fish. The controls are very simple to pick up on
as well, despite the difficulty of the game itself. It is a short and simple
game, albeit tough from the start, and you will find yourself addicted if you
play it! Luckily it is one of those games where you can quickly pick it up or
put it down, making it all the better!

========
Gameplay
========

You have control of a single fish in a maze-like underwater area. The idea is
to eat the smaller fish randomly swimming around in the stage, all while
avoiding a similar fate at the hands of an even bigger fish. The stages are
all laid out with various natural boundaries, such as coral and tubing/pipes
of sorts. To eat a fish, simply approach it straight on and press A to open
your mouth. When the fish is in your mouth, press A repeatedly to swallow it.
If you press B, the fish will disappear but it will not count towards your
total for the stage.

At the bottom of the screen, you will see a timer and a fish counter. You
must eat a certain amount of fish in each stage to proceed onward. If you
lose a life, that counter does not reset, so you can continue where you left
off until you get a game over. You only die by being eaten by bigger fish, or
by being captured when jumping out of the water (jump out by swimming to the
surface, but watch out for predators above). It is possible to eat a bigger
fish, but it is tricky to do so; you must sneak up on them from behind and
eat them tail-first. This is required to succeed in later stages, just so you
are aware.

Once you eat the specified number of fish in each stage, your score will be
tallied. Each second remaining on the timer is 20 points, and each fish you
ate is worth 50 points. You start the game with three lives; if you run out,
the game is over. After you reach Stage 2-1, you will receive a password so
you can continue from that point if you lose.

There are only nine main stages in the game (1-1 to 3-3). After you clear
Stage 3-3, you will access Stages A-1 to C-3, which are basically harder
versions of the first nine. As you progress through the game, your fish will
become bigger, but there will be even larger fish appearing, so you're still
not safe!

=======
Hazards
=======

Bigger Fish: Obviously, the fish that are bigger than your character need to
            be avoided at all costs. They can lunge at you faster, and if
            caught, you are going to lose a life. Outmaneuver them to stay
            safe!

Bird: Above the water, you will see birds flying around every now and then.
     Stay safe by remaining in the water, but jump out and they will grab
     you right away!

Fishing Boat: You will see this boat on the surface, often with a cat hanging
             off the back end. Jump out of the water and the cat will get
             you, so stay in the water to avoid it.

Jellyfish: These long black creatures with the tentacles are not all that
          harmful, but if you touch them, the colors will switch for a few
          seconds.

Scuba Diver: The man swimming underwater is not a threat, but he will totally
            block your movements. This can be annoying if you are being
            chased by a bigger fish, of course.
