III. GAMEPLAY
======================================================================
Games are played in a two-on-two match which, if you watch college
basketball, you'd know that there is usually five-men teams. You and
your teammate face off against an opponent team decided by you or, if
you are in a tournament or season, by the computer.
The object of the game is to win matches by scoring the most points,
and each team is assigned a basket to shoot at. You get 2 points for
making shots inside the arc, and 3 points for shooting from outside
the arch. There are no fouls in this game, so you can't score points
in increments of 1.
When you score a basket, possession goes to the opposing team and they
have a chance to score. If they score, you get the ball; if they miss,
you can collect the rebound and have a chance to further your lead (if
applicable).
You can use your boost gauge (START button) to get extra speed whether
you have the ball or not. The gauge is displayed in the upper-left at
all times.
The game is split into halves, all of the same time period which you
can decide. All games are like this, whether they're in a tournament
or simply a head-on-head game.
----------------------------------
Here is what you are unable to do:
----------------------------------
+ Foul opposing players
+ Shoot free throws
+ Step out of bounds
+ Break the backboard
+ Injure players permanently
------------------------
Here is what you can do:
------------------------
+ Get shotclock violations
+ Call timeouts
+ Substitute players when you have the ball
+ Steal the ball from other players
+ Push other players and add to their "injury" stat
+ Shoot baskets at the buzzer
