[HELP]

Basic Gameplay Summary
----------------------
Bonk's Revenge is a basic platforming game in the vein of Super
Mario, split up into six worlds with several areas each. Each world is
incredibly straightforward, though they each have a little bit in the way of
diversion.

Bonk's Revenge lacks the same platforming depth that the Mario 2D
series has, however - each level merely consists of crossing through the usually
straightforward levels, killing off enemies with Bonk's forehead. In the last
area of every world except for one, Bonk shall face off against a boss, where
action will switch up from the regular platforming.

Unlike Revenge's predecessor, Adventure, there is no points system in
this game.

Occasionally, you may find pieces of meat. Eating these will advance
Bonk into one of three forms which you can pick with a little bit of a roulette
button-mashing. Master Bonk mode increases the strength of Bonk's headbutts, and
you can also jump and slam into the ground with a headbutt to cause a shockwave
that will topple most on-screen enemies. In Hungry Bonk mode, you can also cause
ground shockwaves, as well as eating enemies. In Stealth Bonk mode, which is
often referred to in this walkthrough as Thief Bonk mode, you can enter locked
doors spread throughout the levels.

The doors for Stealth Bonk have one of four possibilities. The first is
a room with 48 Smiley Faces, where collecting 100 of them will give you an extra
life. A butcher room gives you three pieces of meat to attempt to transform into
your choice. A hospital room gives you a Big Heart, which recovers your life bar
totally, and a Crystal Heart, four of which can give you an extra heart on your
heart bar (up to 6). The last, which is the only negative one, is a jail which
will cut your current Smiley Face total in half.

Bonus Areas
-----------
Occasionally, you may find a flower that vaguely resembles a shrunk form
of the Fire Flowers from the Mario Bros. series. Whenever you pick one up, you
shall be lifted off to a bonus area, where you can fight a shadowy duplicate of
Bonk called Mechabonk in a best two-of-three arena bout. You will each attempt
to headbutt each other to knock your foe out of the arena. Mechabonk likes to
jump up a lot into the sky so move out of the way when you can, turn around, and
hit him when he gets up.

The first round has a fairly blase battlefield, with lots of length. The
second one shrinks its size signifacantly with a slope on either end, and while
you can stay in the round if you are on the upper end of the slope, you lose if
you fall down too far. Finally, the third arena is longer again, but it has a
conveyor belt on each half that takes you towards the edge. A timer also goes on
during each round, and if 60 seconds pass you lose.

Should you defeat Mechabonk, Bonk will receive an extra life, but if you
lose he will temporarily take twice as much damage back in the normal
playthrough. Winning also gives you an extra Crystal Heart, which is very
useful.

Controls
--------
A - Jump, Swim
Tap repeatedly to escape being swallowed by certain enemies

B - Headbutt. When Bonk is in the air, he will aim his forehead down at the
   ground to headbutt
   Bounce off certain walls

Start - Pause/Unpause the Game, Revives Bonk when he runs out of life (as long
       as he still has life)

D-Pad - Move around

Down - Crouch
 +Left/Right - Crawl
 + A - Slip down certain platforms

Items
-----
Smiley Face - Collecting 100 of these gives you an extra life

Meat - Gives Bonk a temporary power-up into any of his three power-up stages

Recovery Heart - Recovers a part of Bonk's heart bar

Large Heart - Recovers Bonk's entire heart bar

Crystal Heart - Looks much like Recovery Hearts. Four of these give you an extra
heart in the heart bar, up to 6 in total.

1-Up - Gives Bonk an extra life

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[RND1]

Round 1-1
---------
Start by heading right and either headbutt the octopus you see or jump
into the air and then smash it from above. Afterwards, jump onto the wall and
tap the A button repeatedly to climb up, and grab some Smiley faces.

Jump over the small gap to your right to get to the next high up
platform, and hit the vegetable to obtain a piece of meat. Attempt to get Thief
Bonk, which is the form with the robbers uniform of black-and-white stripes.
Climb down the ladder and grab the flower to be transported off into the sky.

Round 1-1 (Bonus)
-----------------
Here, you will fight Mechabonk, a mini-boss rival for your character.
You will each attempt to headbutt each other to knock your foe out of the arena.
Mechabonk likes to jump up a lot into the sky so move out of the way when you
can, turn around, and hit him when he gets up.

Winning also gives you an extra Crystal Heart, which is very
useful.

Round 1-1
---------
After your bout with Mechabonk, jump up to the right onto the lower
ceiling of the ledge, and climb over to the right (you need to press A to
actually grab the ceiling). Drop down, and climb up to the top of the ledge, and
jump onto the pole from the ceiling. If you grab the lower edge of the pole and
it begins to slide down to the pit below, press the B button to jump off to the
left.

Head to the top end of the pole and press right to rotate to the other
side of the pole. Jump over to the second pole, rotate to your right again, then
jump off. Hit the vegetable for a recovery heart and continue walking until you
see a door with a keyhole. If you are in Thief Bonk mode currently, press Up
while in front of the door to enter a mini-area: these mini-areas have four
possibilities - one is a Hospital with a Big Heart and a Crystal Heart you can
pick up, another is a room with 48 Smiley Faces, a third one is a room with 3
pieces of meat, and the final one is a jail room where you lose half your Smiley
Faces.

Outside again, go down the ladder. If you want and have Thief Bonk
still, you can attempt to enter the second door after taking out a mechanical
contraption. Go right, and press and hold Down while pressing Right to crawl
through the passageway. Ignore the vegetable for a moment and instead climb up
and grab some Smiley Faces from up top. Drop down and hit the vegetable for an
icon of an H circle, which grants you temporary invulnerability.

Jump right and up, and go right past a vegetable with a heart to kill an
octopus if you so wish. If you are in Thief Bonk mode still, drop down to the
far left. Otherwise, drop down the ladder and hit the vegetable for a piece of
meat and attempt to achieve Thief Mode, then enter the nearby locked door. Once
you are done, take the piece of meat remaining if you want, then head right.
Climb up the wall and jump into the air for some Smiley Faces after clearing out
your enemies, then head right for Bonk to automatically finish the round up.

Round 1-2
---------
Proceed right and eliminate an octopus walking along the ground, then
climb the waterfall up (yes, you can do that) and jump off to your left side.
Grab a piece of meat if you so desire from the vegetable to make a
transformation, then jump and run to the right until you get to a ramp slide.
Slide down and jump off right away to some blocks up in the sky. They will
crumble apart fairly quickly when you touch them, but you can get some Smiley
Faces. Above all, avoid coming into contact with the spike pit at the bottom of
the slide, and go up the right side.

Allow the block here to fall and then quickly run past it as it rises
up. As you walk a little bit further, you should drop down an invisible hole in
the floor. Slide down the right side and jump out to your left to come to two
locked doors and a vegetable - break the vegetable open for meat to try and get
Thief Bonk if you wish to go through the doors.

When you finish up down there, climb back up the right side wall. Here,
dodge a liquid drip coming off the ceiling as you continue right, then go down
another invisible hole. Head right and up the walls to get some Smiley Faces.
Watch out for a second liquid drop from the ceiling above and head right down
below, eliminating an octopus on your way.

As you come to the lengthy bed of spikes, jump onto the ceiling and grab
a hold of it (you may need to go onto the wall first), then climb your way
across all the spikes to the opposite end and drop down. Break a vegetable for a
recovery heart and then head up. Jump up to the left side and crawl through to
another set of locked doors with a vegetable that contains meat. Activate Thief
Bonk if you are not in that mode already to use the two rooms behind the doors.

Once you are finished there, head right, observing for another liquid
drop from the ceiling to avoid damage. Head down the ramp at the end, grabbing
some Smiley Faces, and jump off to avoid hitting the spike pit. Wait for the
block to start rising up from its dropped position before continuing, then
eliminate one last enemy to finish up this area.

Round 1-3
---------
Pause before you cross the first pillar to see a fireball coming up and
down. Jump past it. The first vegetable you get will have a recovery heart,
while the second one will have a piece of meat, shortly thereafter where you
will be required to take down a dragon to continue on. Past that foe, there will
be one last fireball jumping out of the lava before you can go to some pillars
for some Smiley Faces. Climb up, but be careful - there is some ceiling lava
that a fireball will jump down from before going back up.

Grab the piece of meat up top and transform into Thief Bonk if you can
time it correctly. Enter a door at the top, then go down afterwards and take a
second door. Kill a single enemy, then head right across a crumbling bridge with
some Smiley Faces to find a flower.

Round 1-3 (Bonus)
-----------------
Here, you shall encounter Mechabonk again, so take him out in two of
three rounds to get an extra life. You will also get yourself an extra Heart on
your heart bar for a total of four of them.

Round 1-3
---------
Once done the bonus bout, jump up onto the wall to your right and climb
up, then slide down the ramp, stopping short of a block falling from the
ceiling. Once you get past there, continue on down and jump over a spike pit,
then latch onto the cliff face at the end. Head up and take a foe out on the
top. Jump onto the ceiling and latch to it, then climb over to two locked doors.
Break open the vegetable for a piece of meat to try and transform into Thief
Bonk before entering the doors. When you are finished, drop down the gap to the
left (jump off and let yourself fall straight down to avoid dropping into lava).

Grab yourself a chunk of Smiley Faces here as you advance right and
across some more pillars - watch out, however, for some more fireballs coming
from both above and below to end the level.

Round 1 Boss
------------
Head right from the warp to activate the first boss of the game.

The first boss of Bonk's Revenge vaguely appears to be a bull, with
horns on its back. This bull will trot along from end to end of the screen to
try and hit Bonk, and will do so at a slow walking pace. There are three ways to
injure it: two of the ways are you can either attempt to jump and forehead hit
it on the front side of its back (not where the horns or), or wait for it to get
close and then forehead hit it.

You can also jump right as the bull gets close and knock it back as
well. I favour this technique because if you miss executing the attack properly,
you can hold the A button and then left/right to sail over the bull's thrust
behind it, turn around, and wait for it to come after you once more.

That said, it should be noted the bull boss will take a significant
number of hits before you can knock it out for the count.

[RND2]

Round 2-1
---------
Jump onto the vegetable you see here and it will act as a spring that
should give Bonk a giant leap. However, you need to be sure to hit the A button
just as you land on it, or else you will get a weak normal jump. Leap over the
first spike pit, then head up and down some triangles along with obtaining a few
Smiley Faces before you come to another vegetable spring-pad.

Use it to launch yourself up again and jump over a bird flying around
until you get to safe ground. Drop there shortly thereafter for two more
vegetables, the left one of which is a Crystal Heart, then continue up and right
along the train, slaying another bird foe as you go. Shortly after that, you
should encounter a mini-mobile enemy.

When you come to a set of vegetables again, ignore both of them - the
right is another springpad, while the left is a carnivorous vegetable that will
suck Bonk in and drain his energy. If you do fall to it, tap A button repeatedly
to extract yourself. Head on past these two vegetables instead and skip a third
vegetable later which turns into a hopping enemy if you touch it.

Eliminate a bird and grab some Smiley Faces. When you get to a platform
with two locked doors underneath it, press Down and then hit the A button to
climb down. Destroy the mechanical contraption enemy down here before grabbing a
piece of meat from the vegetable to try and activate Thief Bonk mode before
entering the two doors.

Once you are finished, climb up the platform out here, then head right
and jump off. Use A + B to give yourself a bit of float to successfully make it
to the next platform, and grab the flower located here.

Round 2-1 (Bonus)
-----------------
Just another Mechabonk bout. You should be used to this by now, so
attempt to take him out for the extra life and Crystal Heart.

Round 2-1
---------
Back out here, continue on, getting some Smiley Faces again. Drop down
another platform and eliminate the minimobile monster right away before blowing
open the vegetable for a 1-Up, then use the two locked doors if you still have
Thief Bonk mode activated.

Outside, head up to get out and then go right, either along the top to
take another enemy out, or through the cabin of the train, then defeat a bird at
the end before wrapping this train level up.

Round 2-2
---------
Take a small recovery heart from the vegetable before starting to climb
up the right waterfall. Once you disembark at the top, eliminate the pterodactyl
enemy with a jump-headbutt (a normal headbutt will not work as the foe will
catch you between its teeth, and you shall need to rapidtap A to escape) before
jumping onto the ceiling and clinging and climb to the left side. Drop down and
use Bonk's forehead butt to break the blocks in the one wall, then climb up some
more, ignoring the sun thing.

Drop down to your right, and cling onto the ceiling again to hop over
the spike pit. Climb up the conveyor belt walls to get up, then head left. Grab
onto the balloon and let it rise up on its own until it hits a platform and pops
- the balloon will regenerate, so drop down to the left side of where it regens
and break open a vegetable for a piece of meat if not already in Thief Bonk mode
to attempt to activate it, then open the two locked doors.

Afterwards, take the balloon, and try to claim as many Smiley Faces as
possible. When you finally attempt to go up, you will have a platform in the
center, then two more after that, spread out to the left and right, then another
platform in the center. On top of the last platform are two vegetables - the
left contains a recovery heart, but the right is a carnivorous vegetable that
will attempt to suck Bonk in and drain his life.

From here, if you go up the left or right side both, you can get to a
vegetable containing meat and a locked door to enter for Thief Bonk. Leap to a
breakable wall just slightly below where either thief door is and you can enter
a middle hallway that can take you to the Thief Door on the opposite end. After
entering both doors, climb up the waterfall in the central hallway. You will
have two more waterfalls that you can climb, which will lead you up to a
pterodactyl which you should jump-headbutt.

Continue up again. The two vegetables on the left side contain a big
recovery heart in the left vegetable which will recover your entire heart bar,
while the right vegetable is a carnivorous one. Make your way to the right side
and jump onto the conveyor platform, and make your way from right to left and
then up from left to right. If you have trouble timing your jumps, Bonk can also
cling to the side of the platforms.

Jump off onto the conveyor belt walls and climb up to a small chamber.
Crouch as you go left to go through a hole in the wall and keep down to avoid
getting damaged by spikes. Headbutt two sun enemies as you make your way up, but
watch out for a water drop as you continue down the hallway to finish up the
level.

Round 2-3
---------
In this level, Bonk is underwater. While he has no trouble breathing, he
will have a little bit of difficulty in headbutting enemies - although you can
still take them out no problem, you are more likely to sfufer damage in
response. As such, it is best simply to avoid enemies, as well as the immobile
spores, which will damage Bonk.

However, you can also swim up and down to the ceiling and floor of the
level. There is not much height to the level, but you should still be sure not
to miss out on goodies. The first thing to grab while going right along the
center height of the level is a vegetable containing a piece of meat. Follow
along to the second rocky platform and go on the top of the outcrop for a
vegetable containing an H Circle to get temporary invulnerability.

Head right and then go up and down at the rock wall to grab some Smiley
Faces out of the niche, then go up to center height and use your headbutt to
break through the wall itself. Grab a piece of meat from above if you so wish,
then head right and eliminate another sea-faring enemy before headbutting up
through some more rock for a 1-Up. Continue right through yet more rock.

Pick up some Smiley Faces above and below you at the exit, then head
right to another rock outcrop. Pick up a Crystal Heart from here, then go down
to find a flower. Take it up to a bonus round.

Round 2-3 (Bonus)
-----------------
Yet another Mechabonk bout, so take him out for your extra life and
Crystal Heart.

Round 2-3
---------
Once you get back to the main level, head up and right and avoid the
trajectory of the star-shaped foe. Stand on the warp pad to be taken to this
round's boss battle.

Round 2 Boss
------------
Head right from the warp to activate the second boss of the game.

Round 2's boss is some sort of three-headed hydra. It will float around
the field, and move in a sort of very rounded U-shape trajectory, drifting up
and down slightly as it crosses the screen. This is important to keep in mind:
if it encounters Bonk while face level with him, one of its mouths will suck him
in and drain him of his HP, and you will have to tap A repeatedly to escape.

The only way for Bonk to damage this boss is to headbutt it while
underneath it, and specifically out of the range of its heads. When it does
this, it will leap in the water before coming back down, so you will have to
quickly swim out of the way away from where it is about to land to avoid taking
damage. The key here is to remember that as it floats, it rises and falls
slightly, and to stay away and move in once it begins to rise to damage it
critically.

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[RND3]

Round 3-1
---------
The environment in Round 3 appears to be the upper stratosphere of
Earth, if not outer space itself. Here, gravity is greatly reduced, and so
Bonk's jumps will carry him up much higher. At the same time, however, when he
falls his trajectory will also land him much further than you may instinctively
expect. You can decelerate his horizontal travel by pushing the D-pad in the
opposite direction of his fall.

From the start of the level, jump up to the right for a very high jump,
and once you touch the side of the ledge, press A to bounce off to the left.
Quickly reverse directions to fall to the right and grab a piece of meat from
the vegetable, and tame the enemy nearby. Use the Thief Door up above you if you
wish and are in Thief Bonk mode. Start leaping right across the platforms. After
the second set of Smiley Faces, you can drop down for two more troves of Smiley
faces until you get to some blocks.

Headbutt the right set of blocks to get a flower that will take you to a
Mechabonk stage.

Round 3-1 (Bonus)
-----------------
Once again, Mechabonk, so eliminate him for your extra life and Crystal
Heart (assuming you do not already have a full bar of hearts).

Round 3-1
---------
Back out here, head right, and headbutt the blocks underneath you. Break
the blocks to your left to open up a vegetable for a Crystal Heart, then go
right, destroying more blocks. Claim a large number of Smiley Faces but ignore
the vegetable, as this is a carnivorous vegetable in disguise, and exit out the
right side.

Kill an enemy and jump up to find a vegetable to your right with a piece
of meat, along with a Thief Door very high up above you. After going through the
door if you so chose to do so, go right and headbutt some blocks, then go down.
Crawl along a narrow space to collect some Smiley Faces, then head back out.
Jump up to the left, then up to the right to find a 1-Up. Drop off the right
from up here to finish up the level.

Round 3-2
---------
Travel up the slope and enter the Thief Door if you have Thief Bonk mode
activated. There is a piece of meat contained in the vegetable to your upper
left. From there, head up the remaining slope for more Smiley Faces, then head
right to find a flower. Take it up for a bonus battle with Mechabonk.

Round 3-2 (Bonus)
-----------------
As always, attempt to win your best-two-of-three fight with Mechabonk to
accumulate an extra life and Crystal Heart.

Round 3-2
---------
Back out here, go left and up and then right and-up, defeating a spined
anglerfish-like enemy on your trip up the level. Grab a recovery heart from a
vegetable on the upper-left ledge, then travel right and up further by clinging
to the wall and climbing. Disembark off to your left and take out the spherical
enemy, then jump up to the right side for a Crystal Heart contained in the
vegetable.

Head up to the top of the left wall, then do a long jump and headbutt
the mechanical contraption as you land to eliminate it. Continue your ascent,
eliminating a pair of enemies again. Before leaving the level out the right
side, be sure to grab a big recovery heart from the vegetable to the left to
recover your entire health bar.

Round 3-3
---------
Travel right, sticking to the ground and not to the air (where there are
cannons that will fire enemies out into the sky). Take out the initial
mechanical menace on the ground, and continue on, collecting Smiley Faces until
you get to a vegetable. Blow it open for an H icon to give Bonk temporary
invulnerability, then continue along and jump into the sky for more Smiley
Faces, then right a bit past some more cannons.

After a little bit more travelling, past a cannon that has two Smiley
Faces just on top of it, you should be able to slide down a small gap in the
floor to find two locked doors with a piece of meat. Transform into Thief Bonk
to use the two doors. Outside afterwards, head back up the small gap and then
continue right, collecting some more Smiley Faces.

Continue right for awhile, over some more of the saucers, and avoid
hitting a vegetable on the ground - this one is carnivorous, hence will attempt
to suck in Bonk if you trigger it. Shortly after going onto an upper platform,
you can slip down a small gap and go left for a piece of meat from a vegetable
and a Thief Door.

When you are done hanging around, head up and right past the cannon and
along the upper ledge to take out an octopus and find another Thief Door. Drop
down to the left side next to the saucer afterwards to take out one last
mechanical monster and stand on top of the warp pad to fight a boss.

Round 3 Boss
------------
As always, head right to trigger the fight. Immediately move left or
right to avoid getting hit by the boss falling down the center.

This boss looks something like if a ninja turtle decided to don a
vampire cape and wear shades. You CANNOT damage him from the side or from
underneath - instead, you must jump high into the sky, using the lower
gravitational pull of outer space up here, and then headbutt him from above to
damage him.

The turtle boss will take very small hops left and right to either side
of the screen, which is the optimal time to damage him. When he reaches the end
of the screen, he will turn into a sort of boomerang weapon. As soon as he does
this, rush to the end of the screen opposite where he left off from. Here, he
cannot damage you, and he will land and retransform where he transformed
originally at.

It should be noted that if you are good enough at controlling Bonk, as
soon as you hit the turtle boss and bounce off him into the air, you can hit the
B button again and send Bonk at the turtle boss again, racking up several hits
in a row before finally being forced to land.

                                  Round Four
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[RND4]

Round 4-1
---------
Hop off into the water and go down. You should see four pipes down below
- each pipe will suck Bonk in and drop him off at the terminal point of the
pipe. The level goes from left to right, but navigating the individual pipes can
be a bit tricky.

Take the lowest of the four pipes here, which will lead you to a piece
of meat (there is a Thief Door coming up soon). Ignore the enemy coming out and
instead swim up to find a Thief Door. Go back down afterwards, kill the enemy,
and then go right on the floor through another pipe to find a flower.

Round 4-1 (Bonus)
-----------------
       Once again, a Mechabonk fight.

Round 4-1
---------
Proceed through the right pipe afterwards to come to another Thief Door.
From there, go up and right slightly, and left through a pipe to a chamber with
Smiley Faces. Go left through another pipe, down and right to come back to your
Thief Door. Go down and take the lower-most right passageway to come to a
Crystal Heart, then take the upper pipe left for a piece of meat. Head up and
right from here to find an air-filled chamber with your level exit following a
Thief Door.

Round 4-2
---------
Perform a headbutt as you jump off the level entrance to execute one of
the mechanical contraptions walking around. Jump over a couple of cannons
following and take the lower path for a piece of meat hidden in a vegetable,
another robot foe, and a Thief Door.

Following your adventures inside the Thief Door, go up and continue
right past some more cannons, grabbing a pair of Smiley Faces along with a
Crystal Heart from the vegetable on the crevice between two cannons. Continue
jumping along past some more cannons, and ignore the next vegetable, which will
transform into an enemy flower should you jump on it.

Take out another enemy walking along and snatch some more Smiley Faces.
Once you get to a slope with a drop-off, do not jump off, as there is another
vegetable down below that will transform into a flower enemy. Instead, simply
drop off the side of where you are at. Go left down below by crawling to find a
Thief Door along with two vegetables, the right one containing a piece of meat,
the left side containing a 1-Up.

With your items in hand, crawl back out into the open and scale the wall
to the right. Make your way over some more cannons. When you have the chance to
drop off an extremely high wall, take it, and break open a vegetable for a Big
Heart to fill out your health bar. Continue up right and across one last cannon
for some Smiley Faces, and stand on the warp pad to face off against the boss.

Round 4 Boss
------------
As always, head right at the start to trigger the boss battle.

The fourth boss is, well, a Darth Vader homage, complete with
lightsaber. Vader will cross the screen from right to left and back, and when he
is within slashing range of Bonk, will slash him with his lightsaber, which has
a nasty range of attack, especially as a crescent-moon shaped wave of energy
follows out from his sword. Obviously, you cannot attack him from his front, so
you need to hit him from above.

Jump into the air and use your Bonk headbutt when landing. As you do,
should you hit Darth Vader and not crash behind him, Vader will recoil and leap
back. Because Bonk will bounce up after every hit, you should follow Vader and
attempt to string together consecutive hits. Darth Vader is especially prone to
getting backed into the side of the screen and taking several hits before he
might finally be able to escape.

Round 5-1
---------
The first enemy you see on the wall will take two hits to kill. Jump
into it initially to knock it off the wall, then quickly move away before it
gets up to avoid contact damage. A simple headbutt or jump-headbutt here will
finish it off. Move along and jump onto the conveyor belt ceiling when you see
it. Allow it to take you over to a Thief Door, then jump down.

Once you are done with the Thief Door (assuming you still have Thief
Bonk mode activated), get into your crawling position and stay crouched as you
go past a long, narrow area with a spiked ceiling. Once you get out into the
open again, you can break open the vegetable for a piece of meat. Follow it up
by jumping over several long spike beds and rapid-pressing B after jumping to do
a sort of spin to the floor that will give you necessary extra inches of flight
space.

Eliminate an avian-like enemy at the end and jump onto the conveyor belt
wall. Once you get up to the corner, quickly press the A button to switch over
to clinging to the ceiling, and drop off down to some Smiley Faces and a
vegetable that is carnivorous. Walk left for a Thief Door, followed by another
vegetable with meat in it.

As you go left, watch out for a falling block, the likes of which you
have not seen for a few levels. Once you get past it, go up and cling to the
ceiling, then press A to get left along the conveyor belt ceiling. Jump down and
attack the enemy lurking in wait for you. Crawl through a narrow space, take out
another enemy, then jump onto the ceiling and head left to drop down to a warp
pad which shall take you to another part of the level, not an actual boss
battle.

In this segment, you will have to swim around several cannons, as well
as either avoiding or taking on a couple of enemies (preferably avoid them). It
can take a little bit of time, but preferably avoid your foes. A Big Heart
awaits you at the end of this section of the level to refill your heart bar.

The next segment is a free-fall down the level. If you press right at
the start, you can land next to a Thief Door. Go right up from here to find a
piece of meat. If you can stay in Thief Bonk mode, several more Thief Doors
await you at the end of the level. A piece of meat in another vegetable lies on
the left side from here. From here on, it is simply sliding down the level and
attempting to accumulate as many Smiley Faces as you can. If you are talented
enough with the game's controls, you can also try to bounce off the walls and to
run up some of the slides to grab more Smiley Faces.

Be warned, as there are a few enemies on your flight down, so be sure to
take them out if you see them, or otherwise attempt to avoid contact and slip
underneath them. A 1-Up and a Big Heart lie on small ledges on opposite sides
about half of the way down the level, along with a vegetable containing a piece
of meat on the left side just before the bottom of the level.

Use the four Thief Doors at the bottom if you have Thief Bonk mode, then
enter the warp portal for a boss battle finally.

Round 5 Boss
------------
       Once more, go right.

Round 5's boss looks like a comically-drawn Alien from the Aliens
franchise. He also may be the easiest boss in the game, for good reason: he does
not really 'attack' Bonk, per se. Rather, from the center of the floor, he will
jump up to either the left or right, then to the ceiling, then to the opposite
side, and finally back to the center of the floor. If you stand Bonk in the
corner, he will never damage you.

To attack him, wait for him to go around a couple of times to get a
sense of the 'lag' time he has after landing on the floor. After, when he lands,
jump and then headbutt him, and in the bounce following, angle Bonk to land in a
corner, out of harms way once the Alien moves again. Repeat severalfold until it
finally is taken out.

Round 5-2
---------
No, that is not a mistake. This is indeed considered part of Round 5
still.

In what is a first for the game, you will start at the right side of the
level and progress left. Slide down the left slope for some Smiley Faces before
jumping off and climb up the conveyor belt wall. Ignore the vegetable, which is
carnivorous, and instead jump over several crumbling blocks, eliminating a
Pterodactyl along the way (if you fall, just head left and up another conveyor
belt wall).

Jump onto and cling to the stalacite, and press left for Bonk to turn
around. Grab as many Smiley Faces as you care for, then go to the left side of
the left stalacite and jump off. Make your way through three narrow spaces,
making sure to actively crawl left at the last space, then head up the hill to
wrap the level up.

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
[RND6]

Level 6-1
---------
Fall to the right side to land on a platform with a vegetable containing
a 1-Up. Go left to a middle platform for some Smiley Faces. This will be a
tricky jump, but if you jump up to the high left platform, you can bounce off
the side and then land on top of it for a vegetable containing some meat inside
it.

Following that is a cloud to the right side with a flower on it.

Round 6-1 (Bonus)
-----------------
You are getting close to the end of game, so make the Mechabonk bout
count if you still do not have sufficient Crystal Hearts.

Level 6-1
---------
Coming back into the level, ignore a vegetable on the center cloud,
which is a carnivorous energy-sucker vegetable. Instead, stick to the right
side, where you can find a Crystal Heart later on. After that, continue to fall
down, and use your headbutt as soon as you bounce off a cloud to take out any
pesky enemies as you find them. Once you touch the ground, you can get a piece
of meat from the vegetable to your left and use the Thief Doors if in Thief
Mode. Following that, head out the level exit.

Level 6-2
---------
Jump at the octopus enemy from below, back away from it, then headbutt
it to finish it off once it recovers. Make your way right across several pillars
(remember to press the right button to rotate around on them), ignoring the
chambers above, which are empty. You can find a piece of meat sequestered away
in a vegetable shortly following a Thief Door, along with some Smiley Faces.

Ignore the next vegetable, an energy-draining type, and onto the next
pillar. you can head up to the left into a chamber with a Thief Door here if you
wish. Get some more Smiley faces and then head right into the upper chamber for
a Crystal Heart from a vegetable.

Continue to take the lower path from here, which will give you in order
a vegetable to be ignored (will sprout into a flower foe), some Smiley Faces and
a Thief Door.

From the Thief Door, take the upper ladder and eliminate the enemy up
top. Go up for a piece of meat, and down for a flower.

Round 6-2 (Bonus)
-----------------
       Again, Mechabonk.

Level 6-2
---------
Finally, with that out of the way, grab some Smiley Faces and head into
the warp.

Round 6 Boss Part 1
-------------------
Here, you shall have to reface the first boss of the game, the bull
boss.

Level 6-3
---------
Ascend the first wall and beat down the bird foe, then take a flower up
for a bout with Mechabonk.

Round 6-3 (Bonus)
-----------------
       As always, here is Mechabonk.

Level 6-3
---------
After the battle, jump from the spring pad next to you, and head over a
few of the sloped pyramids, making sure to eliminate another bird enemy and
avoid the spike pits. Ignore the next vegetable you see, which will turn into a
flower enemy. Continue along and break the vegetable after that for a piece of
meat, then proceed onto the top platform. Use Down + A to drop down to the two
thief doors and use them if you so desire.

You should come to approach a sort of vehicle-like monster. You will
take damage if you attempt to headbutt him from the front or to headbutt him
from above where his antenna is. To damage and defeat it, you must hit it from
the middle or on its back end from above. Past there, break the left vegetable
for a single Recovery heart, and then jump up to the right side. Take out a
couple more enemies followed by a set of birds while moving along past the
pyramids.

On another platform, you can drop down below to two Thief Doors
accompanied by a piece of meat. Proceed forward once done. Ignore the next
vegetable you see, which shall turn into a flower enemy on you. Cross through
the cabin underneath to avoid taking on a vehicle-type monster, and destroy the
next vegetable you see for a Big Heart to recover your entire health bar. For
this next vehicle-based monster, hit him when he is not flashing to eliminate
him, then take the warp pad.

Round 6 Boss Part 2
-------------------
Here, you shall have to reface the second boss of the game, the hydra
boss.

When it does
this, it will leap in the water before coming back down, so you will have to
quickly swim out of the way away from where it is about to land to avoid taking
damage. The key here is to remember that as it floats, it rises and falls
slightly, and to stay away and move in once it begins to rise to damage it
critically.

Level 6-4
---------
Take the first foe out here, then climb up the wall, and jump off to the
left, grabbing some Smiley Faces while at it. Break open the vegetable for a Big
Heart, then climb up the nearby wall and go for some more Smiley Faces. Head up
the wall and jump onto the ceiling next, then crawl over to the right. Drop
down, taking out a walking enemy, then climb up to the next level of elevation,
eliminating another foe.

Proceed up, and jump to the ceiling right above the spike bed. Head up
at the right end and climb through some Smiley Faces, and continue way up to the
end to find a Thief Door along with a piece of meat. After using the Thief Door
if you can, drop down a bit, then go left to find a flower for another Mechabonk
stage.

Round 6-4 (Bonus)
-----------------
Yet again, Mechabonk. By such time, you should have a full bar of six
hearts, but getting the extra life is still useful.

Level 6-4
---------
Continue left pass where the flower was, then head up the wall and
disembark off to the right. Crawl through a small space for some Smiley Faces
and a Thief Door. After using the door, go up the main segment and jump off to
the left after a while for a piece of meat from the vegetable. From here, climb
up and go through several narrow spaces in a row by clinging onto the ceiling,
moving forward a bit, dropping down onto solid ground, and then crawling the
rest of the way. Ignore a vegetable you may see along the way, which shall turn
into a flower monster.

Past where the flower monster vegetable is, go up, right from the wall,
and eliminate an enemy. You can take the narrow crawlspace thereafter for a meat
piece and a Thief door. Continue your climb up and left afterwards, and then
right, ridding the world of a few more foes, before coming to the warp door.

Round 6 Boss Part 3
-------------------
As you may expect, here you shall have to once more battle the game's
third boss, the turtle challenger.

Level 6-5
---------
Jump onto the first pillar, but do not turn around - instead, wait for
the enemy to fall off the ledge overhead. This will happen a couple of times in
this level, so watch out for enemies that are walking around. Head right and up
the pillar, then left and up, and then right to find the Mechabonk flower.

Round 6-5 (Bonus)
-----------------
By such time, you may be getting bored of Mechabonk, but again, extra
life.

Round 6-5
---------
Head up to the left side from here to find a Thief Door and a vegetable
with meat. Following that, go up and right, killing an enemy on your way, to
find another vegetable and Thief Door. Continue left some more pillars, up and
right past more stalk pillars, then up one final pole that extends into the sky.

Once you disembark into the cloudscape, go to the right side for yet
another flower.

Round 6-5 (Bonus)
-----------------
       Yet again, Mechabonk.

Round 6-5
---------
Back in the main stage again, head up some more clouds, and go to the
center cloud at the top for two vegetables containing a 1-Up and a Big Heart to
fully recover your health bar. After, take the warp to your right.

Round 6 Boss Part 4
-------------------
This will be a rematch of the Darth Vader fight, which is directly
thereafter followed by a rematch with the Alien (as opposed to another level in
between).

Once you have felled both bosses, you will be put into the final boss
battle.

Final Boss Battle
-----------------
Here, you will face off against King Drool III, the lizard boss, in a
three-part battle.

During the initial segment, King Drool will jump onto one end of the
screen, fire a single bullet, and then jump off the screen, before landing on
the other side of the screen, and shooting a single bullet again. He shall
repeat this pattern forevermore until he takes enough damage.

Drool cannot take damage on the front of his section, where his head is.
To injure him, you have to leap up high, headbutt him around his crown area, and
then to avoid taking damage, you should also move away back to the center before
he jumps back up into the sky. Repeat ad nauseum, making sure not to take damage
as much as possible. After taking multiple hits, he will finally fade off the
screen.

Following a long period of inactivity, Drool will come back for the
second round. In this mode, he is also laughable. Drool will attempt to stay at
an exact distance away from Bonk at all times: if you move closer to him, he
will move away from you (as space allows), and vice versa. He will otherwise
stay immobile, and constantly throw a spiked ball at Bonk, which you can dodge
by simply staying crouched.

In this mode, you can still hit Drool by jumping and headbutting him
from above. However, he is far more vulnerable to damage here, as he will only
recoil instead of jumping off screen, so you can attempt to string together
several hits before having to land back on the ground. His spiked ball is also
able to be broken by a liberal dosage of Bonk's headbutt.

Drool's third and final form will see him land on the center of the
stage, so be away on either side before he does come on-screen. He will move
towards Bonk with small hops, attempting to cause damage by Bonk. He is, as
always, vulnerable on the skull area where his crown is. For the last time,
string together several hits and bounces to take him out for good.
