Joker: "Ha! Ha! Here's a cute, fuzzy exploding bear for all the people of
       Gotham City!"

      "The people of Gotham City will be 'bursting' with laughter by tomorrow
       morning!"

      "Let's see that winged freak try to save them all!"

      "Hey Batman, let the people know who's really in control in Gotham
       City!"

      "I know you can hear me, Batman! Ha! Ha!"

Batman: "You're going back to Arkham Asylum, Joker!"

Area 1
~~~~~~

Move to the right to see a box. Press down and B to punch it to reveal a teddy
bear. It will begin to flicker. This is your cue to run before it explodes.
Go down the stairs until you come to a gap. Drop down below first. There are
two clown enemies to deal with. Knock them out then go to the left to find a
gift box. Break it then run away before the bear explodes. Now go to the right.
Jump over the metal crates until you come to another gift box. Break it and run
away from it before it explodes. Then go past where it once was to the right.
Look at the ledge right before a gap above. The piece of ledge you are looking
for looks like this: [] [] [] []. These special ledges mean that if you use
your grappeling hook on them you can pull yourself up onto the ledge above.

To use your grappeling hook press up and A. Yur grappeling hook will stick to
any surface thats above you. While you are hanging from your grappeling hook
you can still punch.


Once on the above ledge go left. The first clown you reach has an exploding
bear and will throw it at you as soon as he can see you. As soon as he throws
it run backwards until it explodes. Now you can move in to attack. With him
defeated go left until you come to another  box. Break it to find an exploding
bear. Quickly take cover. After the explosion continue left to fight another
enemy. Defeat him and now go right, back to where the ledge was that you used
your grappeling hook on. Jump to the ledge on the other side. As soon as you
touch the ground a clown will throw an exploding bear your way. Get as far away
from the bear as you can. After it explodes go after the clown. Continue to the
right to fight another clown. He is unarmed so no exploding bears to worry
about. Go to the right and jump onto another ledge. Theres an unarmed clown up
here so get ready to fight him. With im defeated move right and then when you
come to the edge of the platform, jump as far as far right as you can to land
on a section of stairs. Drop down into the gap to the left. Theres a clown down
here so be ready to fight. Go left to find a gift box. Break it to reveal five
bat-a-rangs.

To use bat-a-rangs press B. Also make sure that on the bottom right corner of
the screen it shows a number instead of saying off. If it says off you will not
be able to throw bat-a-rangs. To turn it from off to on and vice versa press
select.


Return to the area below the hole that you fell down. You will have to use one
of Batman's abilities, wall jumping, to get out of the hole and back onto the
stairs.

If you're familiar with the Prince of Persia then you already know a bit about
wall jumping. Wall jumping is when you jump from one wall to another wall and
each time you jump to a wall you get higher off the ground.


From the stairwell go down it to the right and go through the doorway. This
will bring you into the next area.

Area 2
~~~~~~

In the next area you are brought to a dead end. Or so it seems. You will have
to wall jump up to the top of the wall. At the top of the wall jump over the
metal crates. As soon as you touch the ground on the other side a clown across
a gap will throw an exploding bear. Quickly jump back over the crates and wait
till the bear explodes then jump over the crates and over the gap and attack
the clown. Go into the gap to land on another pass through ledges as before
with your grappeling hook. Press down and A to drop into the floor below. Go
right and on a ledge is an unarmed clown. Knock him out and jump over the
ledge. On the other side you'll come to a floor of spikes. Jump over the spikes
to get to safe ground. Do move right so quickly. Theres a pipe that shoots
water down every few seconds. If you get hit by the water you'll take damage.
If you want to get some health use your grappeling hook on the pass through
ledge above by jumping and then using the grappeling hook.

If you come to a ledge that you can pass through but its out of reach above
then you can always jump and then use your grappeling hook. This technique will
come in handy to reach advantage points above enemies or to reach secret areas
and get extra items.


In the area above is a clown. Defeat him and jump up the crates to the left. At
the top of the crate pyramid is a heart. This will give you some health back
had you lost any. If you want to avoid a lot of hazards on the floor below then
on the top floor move to the wall of blocks to the right and then jump and use
the grappeling hook on the roof above. Now jump to the right to land over the
wall. Go right and jump onto the top ledges. Go right and fight any clowns in
your way. After fighting the second clown on the upper path you will come to an
elevator. Get on it and ride it down to a ledge. Get off the elevator and go on
the ledge. Jump onto the elevator that comes down to the right. Ride it to the
top and then jump off to the ledge to the right. There will be a clown here
waiting. Defeat him and continue to the right. Jump down the chute to land on a
platform below. In the next part theres a floor of spikes and past the spikes
is a platform with a pipe that shoots out water every few seconds. Wait for the
water to stop then jump over to the ledge and quickly get out of the way. In
the next part is a floor of spikes. Jump over them onto the metal boxes. Jump
up them until you can reach a ledge to the left. Jump onto that ledge and then
wall jump off the wall on the right onto the highest ledge. Once on that ledge
jump over the gap to the floor to the right. On the other side is a clown. You
will be above him so duck down and punch him in the face to beat him. Go right
until you come to a hole that will drop you onto the ledge below. There will be
a clown down here. Move to the left and drop down to the floor below. On the
bottom floor go to the right and wait for the water flow from the pipe to stop.
Then go by and stop at the edge of a floor of spikes. There will be a ledge
above you with clown on it. Across from the ledge above is another ledge wall
jump from that ledge's edge onto the ledge with the clown on it. Attack the
clown and move under the pass through ledge. Use the grappling hook to pull
yourself up to the floor above. Jump onto the wall of three boxes and a clown
will throw an exploding bear at you. Dodge the bear and attack the clown. Below
the ledge where the clown was is health. Jump onto the ledge where the clown
was and jump three the ledge above.

Area 3
~~~~~~

In this area you're in the exploding bear factory. Run up the escalator to the
right to find a clown. Defeat him and jump to the escalator to the left. Watch
out because theres a clown at the top with an exploding bear. Defeat him and at
the top jump to the next escalator to the right. At the next part it where the
exploding bears drop down. As soon as the bear explodes run along the conveyor
belt to the right. Drop into the room below and go to the left to get four
bat-a-rangs. Run to the right and drop down to the bottom. Watch out as
exploding bears will come along the conveyor belt behind you from the left. Run
to the right. When you reach a floor with an electrical current you will have
to jump onto a small box above the floor and then jump from it to the other
side of the electric floor.

Move along the bottom path until you come to a
clown. Rush him as he throws an exploding bear that will go over your head.
Withe clown gone jump onto the ledge and jump up to the conveyor belt to the
left. From that conveyor belt jump to the escalator to the right. Go through
the doorway at the top. Jump to a platform below to the right. Drop down to the
bottom floor.

At the bottom floor run to the right and attack the clown. When
you come to a set of ledges jump up two ledges to reach a clown. From the
second ledge jump to the left and then shoot your grappling hook up so you will
be pulled to the roof. Drop down to the left ledge to get a bat-a-rang. Return
to the ledge you were on a moment ago and go right. Drop down to the floor
below.

Run to the right and watch out for the pipe that drops exploding bears
out of it. Run up the escalator to the right and again avoid the exploding
bears that drop from a pipe high above. At the top of the escalator jump to a
small escalator to the left. Ride this escalator up and then jump to the ledge
to the right. Beware, as theres a clown laying in wait. Attack him as you touch
the ground. Run by where he once was and drop down to the bottom floor. At the
bottom run to the ledge to the right. Theres a clown over her so be ready to
have to deal with him. Use your grappeling hook on the pass through walls that
look like this: [o][o][o][o][o][o].  Keep climbing up to the top. Go through
the door to the right at the top.

Area 4
~~~~~~

As soon as you enter the area a clown attacks. Defeat him and jump up and use
your grappeling hook to be pulled into a room above with bat-a-rangs. Drop down
to the floor below and run up the stairs to the right. Use your grappeling hook
on the ceiling above when you're at the top of the stairs. Once on the roof run
to the left and wall jump from the wall on the left to the right wall and then
onto the ledge on the left. Like so:

On the ledge there will be a clown waiting. Attack him as soon as you get on
the ledge. From the ledge run to the right and jump to the ledge to the right.
There will be a clown on this ledge as well. Just know that it will be
something you will have to deal with. Run towards the right wall and wall jump
between the two walls to reach the top. At the top there will be a small ledge
above the floor. Above this ledge are two boxes. As you apporach those boxes
two clowns will drop out of them. Attack and defeat those clowns. Jump up and
use your grappeling hook. Pull yourself up a floor and run to the right. There
will be a clown you're going to have to deal with. After fighting him another
clown will fall from the ceiling. Defeat him too. Wall jump up the right wall
until you are within reach of the ceiling to use your grappeling hook. Use it
and pull yourself up to the next floor. There will be two clowns waiting. When
they are defeated grapple onto the ceiling on the left side of this floor. When
you pull up onto the next floor two clowns will attack. Get to the highest
platform on this floor and jump towards the right wall and wall jump to the
left platform. Get on the stone wall and jump towards the ledge on the left and
wall jump to the long wall from the ceiling on the right. This will put you
onto the small ledge on the left. Wall jump off the wall on the right to the
small ledge on the left and then onto the floor above. Run to the right and
fight the clown. Wall jump along the right wall till you reach the top. Then go
through the door to the right.

Area 5
~~~~~~

You will be in a small hallway. Go to the right into the next room.  In the
next room its the Joker. He laughs and then runs off. Leaving you with a
present: a room full of exploding bears.

This fight isn't too difficult. The Joker will appear in the one of the four
different corners of the room so you need to be quick to get to him. If you are
across from him you can throw your bat-a-rang at him. Before Joker goes away he
calls out for the ceiling to rain down exploding bears. This is your cue to get
away from the bears that are closest to you. Wall jumping and grappling works
well during this fight to avoid the bears. Then when Joker appears pummel him.

Area 1
~~~~~~

Hop up to the top of the ledge to the right. At the top jump off to the right.
You will land in between a wall and a small wall to the right. Jump over the
small wall. On the other side you will have to wall jump up to the top of the
wall to the right. Here is another diagram, on how to get over the wall:

Once on the other side wil be a mobster. You will have to act quicly and beat
him before he can do any real damage. Be careful because he has a gun and will
be able to attack from a distance. The ledge to the right has an mobster on it.
You can attack them if you wish to. Go to the right to reach a wall and a
mobster. Duck to avoid the bullets and then attack. Get on the small platform.
If you hadn't attack the enemy on the ledge earlier he may make matters worse
now. If you hadn't its no big deal. Wall jump to the edge of the platform to
the left to land on the ledge to the right. Jump over the wall on your right.
On the top is a mobster. Run to the right and there will be another mobster on
a lower ledge. Jump the bullets he fires and land behind him and attack. While
on the lower ledge drop down to the floor below.

A simple ability but an important one none the less. Just press down and A to
drop through the pass through walls that you can also jump up through.

Drop down to the bottom floor to fight another mobster. As soon as you land on
the floor press down to avoid being shot at. Go left and jump up through the
pass through wall. In this room you will have the option of going down or up.
If you go down you will have to go right and deal with a mobster until you
reach a wall where you have to wall jump up until you can use your grappeling
hook to pull yourself into the room above. If you go up you just have to go
right and also fight a mobster. Run to the right and jump off the ledge. Be
careful as you jump because theres a jetpack mobster flying. When you hit the
ground run to the right. You'll eventually come to a wall. Wall jump up it and
then off the platform. This will bring you to the top of the wall. On the wall
drop down to the bottom. Go into the next area.

Area 2
~~~~~~

As soon as the screen loads you see the Scarecrow. Scarecrow will run off the
screen.

In Area 2 of Level 2 you will be able to use Batman's sidekick, Robin. Robin
has less health then Batman and doesn't have a grappeling hook. He is faster
and is able to hold on to the ceiling and then move to the left or right while
holding onto the ceiling.

Quickly duck to avoid the mobster's shots. Move in and defeat him. With him
gone go left and jump up and wall jump of the wall in the air to the right to
get some bat-a-rangs. Drop down to the floor and go right. Jump onto the
ceiling and go through either the pass throughable floor to the left or right.
Whichever side you go on there will be another pass through floor at the top of
the screen that takes you into the next section. If you take the left side
there are two pumpkins to deal with. On the right side is a pumpkin and a
mobster.

Area 3
~~~~~~

In the next room in the center is a flying mobster. On the right side of the
room is a pumpkin. In the center of the room you can wall jump off the left
wall and land on a ledge at the top of the room where there are some
bat-a-rangs. Go to the right side of the room and wall jump up to a ledge. To
the right is a ledge with a mobster on it and underneath the ledge is a pipe
that shoots steam out every few seconds. Wait for the steam to go then run by
to the right side of the room. On the right side is a wall that you will have
to wall jump from the ledge with the steam from the pipe and the mobster on
top to get over the wall. On top of the wall to the right is a flying mobster.
Dodge his bullets and then drop into the room below. There will be a pumpkin
down here. It is to compact to avoid it so throw a bat-a-rang. To the left is a
pipe that shoots steam out every few seconds. Run by it and stand on the pass
throughable floor and drop down.

Area 2 (Revisited)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In this area you can either go through the pass throughable floor to the left
or drop into the room on the right. The room on the left has two sections
seperated by a pass throughable floor. On the top and bottom section is a
pumpkin. On the right side is a pumpkin and in the small hallway leading to
the right is a pipe that shoots out steam every few seconds. Run past the
pipe and drop through the floor.

Area 5
~~~~~~

In the next room you will automatically be holding on to the ceiling. If you
went through the left side you will start out next to a health pick up. Drop
down to the bottom floor. and go to the right while avoiding the pipes that
emit steam. Run to the right and jump through the floor into the small room.
Go to the right to get on a platform with a mobster on it. Beat up the mobster
and drop down into the next room.If you picked the right you will have to go to
the right and watch out for the pipes. When you come to a platform with a
mobster on it drop down and defeat the mobster. Use the pass through floor to
drop down a section. In the next room is a lone moster. Defeat him and drop
down another floor. In the next part is a health pick up to the left and a
mobster guarding a pass through floor to the right. Beat the mobster and drop
down into the next area.

Area 6
~~~~~~

You will be in an elevator shaft. Drop down until you reach the bottom area.
It is here that you will find Scarecrow. As soon as he sees you he begins to
throw his pumpkins.

This fight is very easy. Scarecrow will usually be surrounded by pumpkins. Wait
until he is seperate from them and move in and hit him. After hitting him
enough he will destroy all the pumpkins on screen. Watch out when the pumkins
explode because Scarecrow will then use a flamethrower to hit you if you are
close by.  Bat-a-rangs are your best friend for this fight. Only use them on
Scarecrow and try not to waste them. Another good tactic is to move in and keep
hitting him to stun him.

Area 7
~~~~~~

You will take control of Batman once again. Move to the right to reach an
Arctic Soldier.

The new enemy, Arctic Soliders have a weapon that is able to encase you in ice.
While you are frozen in ice you will be unable to move and enemies will be
able to attack you still. To break free from the ice repeatidly hit B to punch
your way out of the ice.


Run up the stairs to the right. There will be another Arctic Soldier waiting.
Defeat him and run to the weird part of the floor and drop down. At the bottom
on both the left and right side of the room are ice beam turrets. They shoot
out a ball that can freeze you in one hit. Go to the left and get some
bat-a-rangs. Now go to the right. You will have to dodge two turrets as you
make your way to the right wall. Wall jump up and use a grappeling hook. Pull
yourself into the room above. In the next hall you will have to run to the left
while avoiding the ice beam turrets. At the end of the hall quickly pull
yourself into the hallway above. Run along the hall to the right and drop into
the room below. At the bottom of the room is an Arctic Soldier. Go to the right
until you reach a wall. Wall jump up to the top and to the right will be a
platform with an Arctic Solider on it. Defeat him and drop down to the bottom
floor to fight another Arctic Soldier. With him down jump onto the trash can
and jump up and use your grappeling hook. You should be slightly above a ledge
to the right with a health pick up on it. With it go through  the door to the
next area below.

Area 8
~~~~~~

As soon as you walk onto the screen duck. There will be a Arctic Soldier down
the hall who will shoot at you as soon as he sees you. With him gone run to the
other end of the hall and wall jump up the wall and then use your grappeling
hook and pull yourself into the room above. Jump onto the ledge to the left to
fight another Arctic Soldier. Defeat him and go through the door with the word
"in" above it.

This is simple but I might as well explain it anyways. When you approach a door
you can press up on the directional pad to enter it. You will know if its a
door or not because it will be a rectangle with a different color in the
middle. In this level theres a big "in" above it. Well for the most part it
will say in.

Area 9
~~~~~~

In the next room is another Arctic Soldier to the left. Defeat him and jump
onto the ledge above the door. Run off the ledge to the right. On the other
side of the gap are some bat-a-rangs. Keep dropping down ledges until you reach
the bottom. There will be a gap to the left and then a ledge across the gap to
the left with an Arctic Soldier on it. Quickly drop down into the gap to avoid
the shots from the Arctic Soldier. Defeat the soldier and go through the door
on the ledge.

Area 8 (Revisited)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As soon as you enter the room jump up and use the grappeling hook on the
ceiling above to avoid the ice missles from the Arctic Soldier. After he shoots
move in to attack. After he is defeated move to the far left wall and jump up
and use your grappeling hook on the ceiling above. Pull yourself into the room
above. When you pull yourself up there will be a ledge above you with an Arctic
Soldier on it. Jump up and hit him until he is defeated. Run and jump onto the
stairs to the right. Run up the stairs until you come to a wall. Use your
grappeling hook on the ceiling above and go into the next floor. On this floor
is an Ice Cannon to be catious of. It will be on a floor above and fires two
ice balls into the large clearing to the left of the floor you are in. You will
have to avoid the ice balls and jump from platform to platform to reach the top
floor. Once on the platform with the ice cannon quickly run by it and into the
next area.

Area 10
~~~~~~~

There will be two platforms to the right as you enter the room. Run off the
ledge to the right and jump from platform to platform until you reach a ledge
with an ice canon on it. Dodge any shots from the canon and move past it to the
right. Move to the right and jump from platform to platform again. There will
be a ledge next to a wall with an ice canon on it. Avoid the ice balls from it
and jump onto the top of the wall. Drop down to the right all the way to the
bottom into the next area.

Area 11
~~~~~~~

Move down the stairs to the left. Above the stairs is a ledge with an Arctic
Solider on it. Jump up and punch at him from the stairs until he dies. Then use
your grappeling hook to pull yourself up next to the ledge and drop down on it
and run to the left. When you come to the far left wall drop down through the
floor all the way to the bottom. At the bottom run to the right to come to an
Arctic Soldier. Defeat him and wall jump off the wall to the right to land on a
platform with an Arctic Soldier on it. Beat him up and then use your grappeling
hook on the part of the room above to the left near the edge of the ledge. You
will be able to pass into the room above and fight the Arctic Soldier here.
With him gone go off the ledge to the right. Drop down onto the stairs to fight
a Arctic Soldier. Defeat him and drop into the hallway below but be cautious as
there is an ice canono down the hall to the right. Run by it and it doesn't
matter if you lose any health. Wall jump off the right wall until you are able
to use your grappeling hook to pull yourself into the small room above that has
a health pick up in it. Then use the small doorway to go to the next area.

Area 12
~~~~~~~

You will be in a short hallway. Run down it to the right to enter a big room.
In the middle of the room on a platform is Mr. Freeze. There are also two ice
cannons in the bottom left and right corners of the room.

As soon as the door locks behind you Mr. Freeze will turn to the right and run
and jump onto a ledge on the left wall above an ice cannon. This ice cannon
will also shoot out an ice ray that will freeze you with one blast. You will
have to hit Mr. Freeze and he will run to the ledge on the left side of the
room. The ice beams will always move in a certain patern so look for a safe
spot and watch the pattern for the ice beam's movement. In the Enemies section
I will go into more depth on this pattern should you need help. Your main
priority is to hit Mr. Freeze. But be careful because he will still be able to
shoot at you with his freeze ray even if you are dodging the ice beams from the
canons. The key to winning this battle is memorizing the ice beam patterns. If
you get these down then this battle is easy. Also note that every time
Mr. Freeze shoots you he will run to the ledge on the other side of the room.
He will also run if you hit him.

Area 1
~~~~~~

You will start out on a rooftop and then a window will break open. Catwoman
emerges from the window.

Catwoman: "You've always been my favorite, Batman. Harvey Dent is too boring
          for me!"

She will then run off. Go to the right. You'll eventually come to a set of
ledges leading down into a pit. Follow them down and then climb up the ledges
on the other side to the right. On the other side go through the door into the
next area.

Area 2
~~~~~~

Go to the right and jump over the small ledge. Run to the ledge to the right
and duck to avoid two balls that will bounce down from the top right corner of
the room. Go to the right and avoid the fire on the ledge. Wall jump from the
left wall to the top right ledge. When you land on the ledge leading into the
room on the left, drop down to land in between the fire and the wall. Jump over
the fire to the left until you come to a flame. Every few seconds the flame
will rise higher. Wait for it to drop then jump over it to the left. On the
other side jump up and use the grappeling hook on the ceiling and pull youself
onto the floor above. There will be some small dogs walking around. They won't
bother you so run to the right and go through the door into the next area.

Area 3
~~~~~~

You will be in between two buildings continue to the right to enter into the
other building. In the next building approach the flame and wait for it to drop
down and then jump over it and land on the platform next to the small fire.
Climb up the ledges and jump over the fire near the top. At the top drop down
to the floor and stand at the right wall and pull yourself up through the pass
through floor. Wall jump up until you are close enough to the ceiling to use
your grappeling hook. At the top go to the left and drop down into the open
area. Here you will find Catwoman.

Hopefully you didn't use up too much health getting to this fight because you
will need full health. Bat-a-rangs would have been helpful for this fight to
hit from a distance and avoid Catwoman's attacks. Catwoman will move away from
you as you move closer to her and if you move from her she will move closer to
you. Be careful as you get closer to her because she will do a roundhouse kick.
You can dodge this by ducking and then punching her. It is best to move in and
attack quickly. If Catwoman is pressed against the wall she will wall jump off
of it and over your head. Rushing her is a good idea and continuosly punching
her to stun her from hitting you. With her defeated she runs off through a door
to the left. Follow her into the next area.

Area 4
~~~~~~

Move across the bridge to the left and enter into the building. As soon as
you enter the building jump up and use your grappeling hook on the ceiling.
This will allow you to avoid two balls that will come down the the the stairs.
With them gone drop down and move up the stairs to the left. Jump over the pit
with fire in it and land on the stairs in midair to the left. Go up them and
jump over the flame that will rise up every few seconds. On the other side
use your grappeling hook on the pass throughable floor. In the next room jump
up into the top left corner to get a health pick up. Go to the right and jump
over the flame that rises up every few seconds. Run to the edge of the pit.
Jump over to the right and land on the other side. Do not fall into the pit!
If you do you will land on a floor of flames. You can always wall jump up if
you fall down. On the other side go through the door into the next area.

Area 5
~~~~~~

Move across the bridge into the next building. As soon as you enter the room
jump up and grappel onto the small ledge on the left wall. This will allow
you to avoid a ball that will come flying down from the top right corner of
the room. With it gone drop down onto the floor. Jump over the flames and try
to land on the ledge on the other side. On the other side go right to come to
a floor of flames. This will require perfect timing now to avoid being
burned. You will need to run to the right and wall jump off a ledge onto a
ledge to the left. To further explain I will provide a diagram below:

The best way to get to the highest ledge is to land on the second platfrom and
to run through the flames and jump to the third ledge and then onto the top
platform. At the top run to the left and go through the door.

Area 6
~~~~~~

Run across the bridge into the next building. Once in the next building run to
the left. As soon as you pass under the low hanging wall a door will lock
behind you and you will have to fight Catwoman again.

This is basically the same fight as last time. Except now you will have to be
cautious of some fires that are on the ground. And wouldn't you know it
Catwoman wore her flame proof fur. Thats right she won't get hurt by the flames
but you sure will. Thats the only difference for the fight. I recommend that
this time you move in quickly and hit her then move away. Repeat this until she
runs off once more through a door to the left. Follow her.

Area 7
~~~~~~

You will be outside once more. You will now have to climb up the building to
the top. Wall jump off of the left wall into the first ledge on the right. Once
on top of the ledge walk through the door to the right.

Area 8
~~~~~~

Wall jump off of the right wall and then off the left to land on top of the
wall. Move down the stairs until you come to the part of the floor covered in
flames. Jump over the flames to the right to land on the safe part of the floor.
Approach the rising flame and wait for it to drop down. Quickly jump over it to
the right wall and wall jump off of it to the left wall. Wall jump all the way
up until you can use your grappeling hook on the ceiling. Pull yourself up to
the next floor. On the next floor go to the left and stop at the edge of the
flames. Jump over the flames to land on a set of stairs. Jump from the stairs
to  a ledge to the right. Go through the door to reach the next area.

Area 9
~~~~~~

Once again run across the bridge into the next building. Jump from the stairs
and try to land on the part of the floor in between the flames and the rising
flame. As soon as you land on the safe part of the floor a ball will come from
the left. Quickly jump up and use your grappeling hook to dodge the ball from
hitting you. With it gone jump over the rising flame. Jump onto the second
platform on the other side. But be cautious as there are fires in this part.
Jump onto the ledge above. Once on top go to the left to get a health pick up.
Then return to the hole and jump across to the ledge on the right. Go through
the door.

Area 10

You will be in a hallway with Catwoman. The door will shut behind you and
Catwoman will begin to walk towards you.

For this fight you won't have that much space to get around. A very straight
foward fight. Run up to Catwoman and keep punching her until she is defeated.

Area 11
~~~~~~~

You will drop from the sky and land next to a wall. Jump onto the top of the
wall and run to the right until you come to  a floor above a small room. You
can drop through the roof of the room to get into it and get a health pick up.
Jump out of the room and continue to the right. You will come to a large open
area. Jump up the ledges to the top until you come to a door to the next area.

Another fun function of the grappeling hook is that with the plant monsters
that crawl along the ceiling can easily be killed by shooting your grappeling
hook at them right when they are above you. This makes for an easy kill without
having to jump next to them risking being shot.


You will find yourself in a jungle setting and a new type of enemy will be
here. They're plant monsters. They are plants that can move freely. They are
extremely easy to defeat. Run to the right and drop down to the ledge below.
Continue to drop down ledges until you reach a wall to the left that has thorns
sticking out of it. Avoid these thorns because they will do some damage to you.
Drop down to the very bottom of this area.. You'll land in a pool of water. Go
to the right but be cautious as theres a acid pipe the drops acid blobs down
into the water every few seconds. Wait for the acid to hit the ground and
disintegrate. Then run by and jump onto the land. In this part avoid wall
jumping of the wall to the right. Don't even touch this wall. There are thorns
on it that will hurt you if you touch them.

These are not your regular moving platforms. These ones begin to lower to the
ground if you stand on them for too long. They are small boxes shaped like
this: []. Think of those platforms that would drop if you stood to long on them
in Super Mario Bros. Except these ones will not completely just drop. They will
reach the floor and stop. But if you get off of them they begin to rise back
up.


Instead of wall jumping jump up and use your grappeling hook on the small box
in midair on the right. The one on the left will lower because of your weight.
While on the right platform jump up and in between the two boxes and use your
grappeling hook. If done correctly you will be able to pull yourself into the
ledge above. Be careful because there is a plant moster up here on the ledge to
the left and an acid pipe to the right. Take care of that plant monster so that
he won't be able to bother you as you time your movement past the acid pipe.
After passing the acid pipe drop down. At the bottom you will encounter another
one of Poison Ivy's freaks of nature(literally). A Mutated Palm Tree will move
in to attack you. Defeat it and continue to the right. Jump onto the lowest box
to the right and quickly jump to the higher up box to the left. Then wall jump
off of the left wall to land on the ledge at the top. At the top run to the
wall to the right and then drop through the floor. Drop down to the floor of
the area. You will land on some grass blades that will begin to move you t
towards the wall to the right that has thorns on it. To the right is a Palm
Tree. Run towards the Palm Tree and jump over it and defeat it.

Run to the right wall and jump on the ledge leading into the two close together
walls. At the bottom are thorns while at the top is a pass through floor. Wall
jump up to the top until you are in grappeling hook range and use it to pull
yourself onto the floor above. Go to the right at the top to encounter a pit
with more of the moving grass blades. On the left and right sides of the pits
are thorns. The grass blades will also move you into the thorns on the right.
Move with them to the right until you are close enough to jump onto the small
wall on the right. In the top right corner are some bat-a-rangs. Drop down in
between the thorns and the wall. You will be in a small hallway with a Palm
Tree at the other end. Quickly defeat him and drop down to the next hallway.
On the ceiling of this hall is a plant monster and on the floor are some
spikes. Usee your bat-a-rangs on the plant monster and then jump over the
spikes. On the other side run through the door into the next area.

Area 13
~~~~~~~

Above you will be a health pick up and to the right is a Palm Tree. Fight the
Palm Tree first unless you absolutely need the health. If you don't
particularly need it then fight the Palm Tree first and any health you losy
you can get back. Run to the right to reach some more moving grass blades.
They will bring you to a wall to the right that has thorns on it. Wall jump
off of the clear part of the wall above the thorns. If done correctly you will
land on a floor above that has a Palm Tree on it. Defeat the Palm Tree and
continue to the left. You will come to some blocks and the lower left part of
the wall is covered in thorns. Wall jump off the part of the wall that us clear
of thorns to land on a nother floor that has a Palm Tree on it. With the Palm
Tree defeated run to the edge on the right and jump as far right as you can
to avoid some spikes on the groumd. You will be in a big pit with a wall on the
right and a plant monster at the top. Jump up and use your grappeling hook on
the ceiling.

Pull yourself up and jump off to the right. Move quickly to defeat the plant
monster before he can do any damage to you. Drop down through the hole to land
in a room with a small ledge  with a plant monster on it and to the right is a
Palm Tree. My startegy for this part was that when I dropped down I wall
jumped off of the wall to the right to land above the plant monster and I used
the grappeling hook to stay above the plant monster. When it turned around I
dropped down behind it and beat it. Then I jumped over the Palm Tree
and took that out. With both threats eliminated run to the wall to right and
wall jump off of it to the wall that hangs down from the ceiling. This will
allow you to get onto the wall to the right. Drop down to the right of the wall
to land on some moving grass blades that will bring you towards a thorn. Wait
until you are close enough to jump over the thorn and then do so. You will land
on another ledge. Run to the left to get on more moving grass blades. After
the moving grass blades is a plant monster. Run to the edge and you will come
to a very "fun" spot. Along the ground is moving grass blades that move you
into a wall to the right that is covered in thorns. Also at one spot on the
floor are some spikes. Above the moving grass floor is a box you can stand on
and along the ceiling is a plant monster. Dispose of the plant monster first by
jumping onto the box above the moving grass floor and then throwing bat-a-rangs
at it. With it gone jump onto the top of the wall to the right and quickly
use your grappeling hook to hold yourself on the ceiling. On a platform to the
right is a plant monster and along the ground is a Palm Tree. Wait for both of
these enemies to turn around then pick whichever one you want to fight first.
With both gone jump onto the ledge where the plant monster once was and in the
top right corner are some bat-a-rangs. Below the ledge is pass through able
floor that will bring you to the bottom part of the area.

On the bottom part run to the left to come to an acid dropper. Wait for it to
drop the acid and as soon as the acid hits the floor run by. You will come to a
floor of spikes jump over them to reach a small piece of land with an acid
dropper. Again time your movements and run by the dropper as soon as the acid
hits the floor. You will fall into a pool of water. The water will push you
into a wall to the left that is covered in thorns.  Your goal is to get on top
of the wall. To do this wall jump off of the small piece of uncovered wall and
repel off of the wall to the right to land on top:

Near the edge on the left side of the platform is a stream of acid pouring down
ever few seconds. Wait for it to hit the ground and run off the ledge and jump
onto the moving box. Below the moving boxes is a floor covered with spikes.
You will only be able to jump from box to box. There a re a total of three
boxes. The middle one is the only one that will not move. In between the middle
box and the last box to the left is an acid dropper. The strategy that I used
was that I waited for the acid to drop and then I dropped down and to the left
so that I could get under the last box. I quickly used my grappeling hook to
keep myself from falling into the spikes below and I pulled up onto the moving
box which lowered down so that the ledge to the next part of the area was
easily accessable.

On the other side move down the ramp to land into a pool of water. At the edge
of land to the right is an acid dropper. You will have to be very, very fast to
get by without being hit by acid because it drops quickly. Once past it you
will reach another piece of land with  a plant monster on the ground and one
walking along the ceiling. Use the pass through floor next to the left wall.

Area 14
~~~~~~~

In the next area on the roof is a plant monster. You can kill it if you want
to. Move down the hill to the left. A few inches into the water are two acid
droppers next to each other on the ceiling. Theres a small space in between
them. Run into this spot and try to hold yourself still until you can continue
to the left. Back on land, be careful going down the hill. At the bottom are
spikes and on a ledge to the left is a plant monster. Along the ceiling is
another plant monster. Defeat them any way you see fit and get on the ledge.
Once on the ledge jump onto the wall. There will be an acid dropper up here.
You know the drill. Wait for it to hit the ground then run by. You will drop
down into an area with a Palm Tree. Defeat it and then move onto the pass
through floor. Drop down but be careful as there is a plant monster that is
along the ceiling. Below you will land on some moving grass blades and in
between thorns on the left and right walls. Go to the right and jump over the
thorns. You will be on a small wall with a plant monster above. To the right
is more moving grass blades. Drop down onto them and move along with them to
the right. It will bring you to solid ground that is covered in spikes. Jump
over the spikes and quickly use your grappeling hook on the pass throughable
floor above. Be careful because theres a Palm Tree up here. Defeat it and drop
through the floor to the right. You will land in some water. Go to the right
and wall jump off the wall below the thorns and then off of the left wall to
reach the top of the wall. To the right is an acid dropper. Stay next to the
left wall to avoid the acid when dropping. Have your bat-a-rangs ready because
there will be a Palm Tree to the right. Run pass the acid and you will be in a
big open room.

There will be a moving platform in midair in the middle of the room. Use your
grappeling hook to get on it. Then jump to the moving platform to the left.
From this platfrom jump to the small ledge to the right. Then jump to the ledge
on the right. There will be a plant monster up here. Defeat it and move to the
edge to the right. Across the ledge is a platform with a health pick up. Don't
risk the jump for the health pick up if you are already at full. It's a hard
jump on account of the acid dropper. Drop down the ledge to reach another big
room. There will be a Palm Tree down here you'll have to deal with. Get rid of
it and then move up to the ledge on the right with a plant monster on it. Jump
up and punch the plant monster was it's at the edge of the ledge. With it gone
use the grappeling hook on the big block that is high up and then drop down
onto the ledge. Jump onto the top ledge and go through the door into the next
area.

Area 15
~~~~~~~

You will be in a short corridor that leads into the Boss Area. Go through the
door on the opposite side to get to Poison Ivy.

As soon as you enter the room Poison Ivy attacks.

This is a very hard fight. You can not directly hurt Poison Ivy. Instead you
have to hit the large Venus Flytrap that is next to her. When ever it opens
and begins to bare its teeth run in and punch it. When it closes its mouth
after being hit it will counter attack with a vine wave. Starting from the left
a row of vines will pop up from the ground. Stay close to the left wall to
avoid being hit. Even if you do not hit the Venus Flyrap vines will
occasionally pop up from the ground. Be careful as you move closer to the
Flytrap because Poison Ivy will shoot at you with a crossbow. Bat-a-rangs work
extremely well during this fight. After the last hit is administered the whole
area begins to shake and Ivy yells out.

Area 1
~~~~~~

This is a straight foward area. Run from the left to the right side of the
screen  to get to the next area. But you have to be careful because there are
parasols dropping down from the sky that will hurt you if they touch you. If
one is above you and you can't move to the left or right in time then shoot
your grappeling hook at it to destroy it without taking damage. On the other
side go through the door to the next area.

Area 2
~~~~~~

As soon as you enter the next area jump up and hang from the ceiling to avoid
an arrow from the sand robot. After the arrow goes by drop down and attack the
robot until it falls to the ground into a pile of sand. Use your grappeling
hook on the part of the ceiling next to the right wall. This brings you to the
next area.

Area 3
~~~~~~

As soon as you enter the room a robot to the left will transform into a box and
shoot towards you. Run to the left and get into the room above. In here will
be a ball with a question mark in it. Use your grappeling hook on the ceiling
to the left of the ball and pull yourself up so that you are right next to it.
Punch it to open a door in the ceiling on the right side of the area. Go here
and enter into the next area.

Area 4
~~~~~~

To the left will be a Box Transformer. Go right and jump onto the ledge. Avoid
the box transformer and continue going up to the top left corner to reach
another ball with a question mark on it. Hit it to open a door on the left wall
leading into the next area. Be careful because to the right are a lot of box
transformers.

Area 5
~~~~~~

Jump over the gap to land on the ledge on the other side. Then jump up to the
ledge above to the right. There will be a ball with a question mark on it in
the top right corner. Hit it to open a door on the other side of the wall to
the wall to the right. Now drop back to the entrance to this area. Drop down to
floor at the bottom. There will be a sand robot down here. Defeat it and run by
it to the left. When you come to a ledge on the left jump up onto it and then
jump to the right to a ledge with a sand robot on it. Wait for the robot to
turn around before jumping. When you land next to it punch it and then grappel
up into the next area.

Area 6
~~~~~~

As soon as you enter the next area duck. There will be a sand robot to the
right on a small platform. Move in for the kill when it turns the other way
from you. Jump from the platform to the right wall and wall jump off of it to
a ledge above and to the left. From here you will be able to see a ball with a
question mark on it. Jump to the right off of the ledge and use your grappeling
hook in midair. Pull yourself up next to the ball and hit it. Return to the
ledge that you had just jumped from. Jump to the right through the doorway into
the next area.

Area 7
~~~~~~

Run to the left. At the bottom of the screen are two box transformer. Get by
them and run to the right. Jump up from ledge to ledge to get to a room at the
top with a sand robot and ball with a question mark on it. Wait for the robot
to turn around then hit him then the ball to open a door at the bottom of the
screen. Get to it and drop down into the next area.

Area 8
~~~~~~

To your right will be a box transformer and to the left will be a ball with a
question mark on it. Also on the far right side of the room is another question
mark ball. The one on the left will put you back in Area 5. While the on on the
right will allow you to progress. The left ball opens a wall below it to the
left. The right ball will open a door on the right wall go thorugh it to get to
Area 9.

Area 9
~~~~~~

Across from the starting point will be a sand robot. Drop down to the bottom
of the area. There will be a question mark down the hall at the ceiling. Also
at the end of the hall is another question mark ball. And above that one is one
more. Each one of these will bring you along a different path but ultimately
lead to the same point. Each path also has different items along the way. The
top ball on the right side of the room opens a door to the top of the screen.
The ball below that one will open a door to the right. And the one in the
hallway will open a door at the bottom of the screen.

If you chose this path then go through the door at the top of the screen to get
to Area 1 of this route.

Area 1
~~~~~~

As you enter the room there will be a sand robot to your left standing on a
platform. Turn him into sand then jump onto the platform. Wall jump off of the
ledge to the left and then off the right wall until you are close enough to
reach some bat-a-rangs. Drop back down to where the sand robot is and turn him
into sand once more. Then go to the right. In the right corner is a ball that
will open a door to the right.

Area 2
~~~~~~

Theres a box transformer and a sand robot at the bottom of this area. You don't
need to go down there. Instead jump onto the floor across the gap and avoid the
sand robot that will be on a platform to the right. Beat him then go past the
platform. Watch out because theres a box transformer here. In the top right
corner is a ball that will open a door to the right.

Area 3
~~~~~~

At the top of the screen is a sand robot and nothing of importance. Drop down
to the bottom floor but be careful because there are three box transformers
down here. At the bottom go to the right to come to a ball with a question mark
on it. Hit it to open a door at the bottom of the screen. Drop down to the next
area.

Area 4
~~~~~~

You will land on a ledge. Be extremely careful as you drop down to the bottom
floor. There are three sand robots down here. One is in a hole and then there
is one on both sides of the hole. At the bottom quickly get to the right and
make your climb along the right wall to reach another ball in the top right
corner. This will open a door below the ball.

Area 5

Drop down and duck to avoid an arrow from a sand robot on a platform. Hit him
and jump over the platfrom to the right. Be careful as there is another sand

down into a small room with a sand robot in it and a ball with a question mark.
Knock out the sand robot and hit the ball and quickly get out of the room.

To the right will be a box transformer on a platform to the right. Punch it and
jump over the platform. Wall jump off the right wall to land on a ledge to the
left. Then jump to the right and grappel up to next the ball and hit it to open
a door to the right.

You will land on a ledge. Be extremely careful as you drop down to the bottom

Now after coming to the short hallway all three branches are back together so I
will start on Area 10 now with the Boss Fight.

As you enter the room you will spot the Riddler and the Penguin.

You will then appear in a room above. The Riddler will teleport onto a platform
to the right.

This fight is very easy. After Riddler appears on the platform he will make
copies of himself and begin to move around the room. There is only one real
Riddler. If you hit the wrong one they will all turn into balls and move
towards you. Get away from them when they turn into the balls. The only way to
do any damage to the Riddler is to get on the ledge he is on and hit him. As
soon as he is hit he will make copies of himself that you must hit. This fight
is very straight foward.

After the fight you are teleported back below just in time to see the Penguin
run away.

You'll play as Robin now on the pursuit of the Penguin.

Area 11
~~~~~~~

In this area there are more of those exploding parasols, Weave in between them
and jump through the part in the ceiling into the room above. Go to the right
and jump over the steel boxes to the right. On the other side drop through the
pass through able floor. At the bottom of the area just run all the way to the
right until you are below a pass through floor. Pull yourself into the room
above. Go to the right and drop down. Go to the right once more. Into the next
area.

Area 12
~~~~~~~

You will be in a short hallway with the Penguin at the other end.

Penguin: "This flight departs in ninety seconds! Too bad you can't fly little
         birdy!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will move to the right below a pass through floor. Penuin will get onto an
elevator and ride it up as a clock begins a countdown from ninety seconds.
Jump up into the floor below. Keep running to the opposite side of the hallway
and pull yourself up into the hall above. Soon some of the exploding parasols
will drop down from the sky. On the left side of the area will be some
bat-a-rangs. Then you'll come to health pick ups and spike traps. Once you
reach the top area theres another pass though floor into the next area.

Area 13
~~~~~~~

Don't worry no timer to race to here. Run ot the right and jump onto the
platform. Then jump onto the ledge to the left and pull yourself onto the floor
above. Then go through the door on the left.

Area 14
~~~~~~~

Batman: "Robin, wait by the Batplane I'll take care of the Penguin!"

You will be in the Penguin's plane and will be Batman once again. Go to the
right and some small birds will attack. Punch them once to destroy them. Move
close to the edge of the platform where the motor bird is. Wait for it to move
to the edge then punch it. When it is defeated continue to the right. You will
fall into a hole and land on a conveyor belt moving to the right. Some small
birds will fly onto the screen. On the other side of the hole get out and go to
the right ot reach a simliar platform where a motorbird is. Defeat it and
continue to the right. Some more small birds will attack. Plow through them to
the right wall. Pull yourself into the room above.

Jump onto the top of the boxes to the left then jump and grappel onto the pass
through floor that is belowa bat-a-rang pick up. Grab the bat-a-rangs and drop
back down. Continue to the left. You will come to a high platform. Move as far
left as you can next to the wall and shoot your grappeling hook up into where
the small birds keep spawning from. Pull up and drop down to the left to get
ontop of the wall. Drop down into a room with a motorbird.

Immediately punch to the left to defeat the bird. With it gone go left. Jump up
on the box to the right. Near the edge of the top platform throw some
bat-a-rangs to the left to destroy a motor bird. Climb onto the top platform
and go to the left. Drop down into the room below.

You will land on a conveyor belt. Follow it to the left. At the end of the belt
is some solid ground. At the top of the room is a hole. Jump up through it and
land on a ledge to the right. On the left ledge is a motor bird. While on this
ledge you can throw bat-a-rangs at the bird. With the motorbird gone jump to
the right. Drop down and go into the big room to the right. Follow the path
until you come to a motorbird. Defeat it and go to the wall and use your
grappeling hook on the ceiling. Pull yourself into te next room.

Drop down to the left. Go to the right and jump over the platform to the left.
You'll land in a hall with a conveyor belt. Run along it to the left. At the
end of the hall is a motor bird so be careful. Defeat it and then jump onto the
floor above. But be careful as there are two motorbirds up here. With them gone
wall jump off of the right wall up. At the top of the wall jump to the left.
Keep running to the left and drop down into the section below. On the drop down
you should be able to see a health pick up.

At the bottom go the the left and climb up onto the top of the boxes. You can
jump close enough to the pass through floor now and pull yourself into the room
with the health pick up. With it drop down and go through the door to the left
into the next area.

Area 15
~~~~~~~

You will be in a short hallway. You know what this means. Go through the door
at the end to enter into a Boss Fight. You will be on a large room with clocks
all over the wall.s You will see Penguin on a large bird and see as he takes to
the air.

This fight is fairly easy. The Penguin will be flying around the top of the
room so if you're going to hit him you will have to use your grappeling hook to
stay next to him and hit him. Bat-a-rangs work well. If you stay on the
opposite side of the Penguin and throw bat-a-rangs at him. The Penguin has one
main attack. He will shoot out a stream of bullets in a diagonal direction.
Be careful as he flies around the top of the room because he will be able to
ram into you and deal out damage. Besides having to worry about the Penguin
there is also a rain of parasol bombs from the ceiling.

This is a really easy fight. All you need to do is time your movements. The
Clown Drill moves in a certain order. When the drill slams into the ground
quickly move out of the way and run up to it while it's still in the ground and
hit it. Then quickly run to the right and left while avoiding the cards being
thrown from the hands.

After defeating the clown it bounces off and hits Joker.

Gadget=



Name: Grappeling Hook

What it is: The grappeling hook is small device that fires a hook out and
            latches onto any sturdy surface. Batman uses this to get from
            rooftop to rooftop.

Usefulness: You will use this many times throughout a level. You will need to
            use it to access floors that are too high up.

How to use it: Press up and A. While hanging you can still punch to your left
               or right. If an enemy is above and you use the grappeling hook
               on them they will take damage.



Name: Bat-a-rangs

What it is: Batman's trademark weapon. It is a boomarang shaped in the image
            of a bat. Because its shaped like a bat it has sharper edges that
            do more damage to enemies then a regular boomarang and it is able
            to cut through thick ropes. Batman uses this weapon to knock
            weapons out of the hands of his enemies.

Usefulness: Although its Batman's main weapon there is not much use for it in
            this game. It is good when fighting an enemy from a distance
            (See Joker boss fight). But because you can only carry nine
            bat-a-rangs at a time and the pick-ups are limited you hardly use
            it.

How to use it: To use it first make sure the icon at the bottom right corner
               of the screen displays a number and does not say off. Then
               press B as you would with punch but instead of punching Batman
               will throw a bat-a-rang.



Ability=



Name: Wall jumping

What it is: Wall jumping is when you can keep jumping from wall to wall and
            gaining height with each jump.

Usefulness: This is very useful when trying to reach high up ledges. You use
            this ability on every single level.

How to use it: To use it approach a wall and then press down on the d-pad in
               whichever direction the wall is in and press the jump button.
               You will push off the wall in the opposite direction.



Name: Floor Dropping

What it is: When you stand on certain floors you will be able to pass through
            them. You can only go down. Unless of course you use a grappeling
            hook to pull yourself through one of these certain floors.

Usefulness: This is very helpful when trying to get to the floor below.

How to use it: Stand on one of the certain floors(I will explain in better
               detail as to what these floors are in the Walkthrough section)

Name: Bat-a-rangs

What it is: Like Batman, Robin also uses bat-a-rangs. It is a boomarang shaped

Name: Ceiling Hang

What it is: Instead of using a grappeling hook Robin is able to hang from the
            ceiling and move to the left or right. This is most likely a skill
            obtained from his years as a gymnist in the circus.

Usefulness:

How to use it: Jump up to the ceiling and you will automatically begin to hang
               from it. Then press left or right on the D-Pad to go in that
               direction.



Name: Wall jumping

As a child Bruce Wayne experienced two events that would scar his mind and
eventually lead him to doning the cape and cowl and take on the role as the
Dark Knight, Batman. The first event was that when Bruce was exploring the
surrounding area of Wayne Manor her fell into  a cave inhabited by millions of
bats. As Bruce grew up the vision of a large bat still haunted him and would
later on attibute to the symbol he chose to strike fear into the hearts of his
enemies. The second event is what made Bruce angry at the seedy city of Gotham.
One night as he and his parents were walking home from after seeing the "Mask
of Zorro" a mugger attacked Bruce and his parents and wanted Martha Wayne's
necklace. Dr. Thomas Wayne struggled to protect his wife and son but was shot
in the process. After seeing her husband and true love die Martha died from a
heart attack. Bruce was then forced to live with his uncle and the family
butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Late one night Bruce went out to his parents grave
and swore to avenge them by defeating the crime wave that ran throughout Gotham
City.

After Bruce had graduated from school he went on to travel the world searching
for martial art teachers and learning as much as he could as he travelled.
After many years of travelling Bruce returned to Gotham City with training in
various martial arts.

When Bruce returned home he decided to learn all he could on how the criminal
world worked. But to learn how it would work he would have to submerge
into that world. By disguising himself and using a fake scar to distract people
from the rest of his face he entered into the criminal world. When he came upon
a girl being beaten he went to help her but was badly injured in the process
when both the girl and her attacker turned and attacked Bruce. Eventually
stabbing him in the leg. Bruce barely made it home and slumped into a chair. He
realized that no one would fear him if he was one of them. He would have to
change his appearance for if he wanted to strike fear into the hearts of
criminals. As Bruce sat in dizziness from lack of blood and weariness he saw
the large bat that haunted him in his past. He decided that he will become the
bat.

Bruce then began his work to become the Batman. He cleared out the cave that he
had fell into in his youth and began to design weapons and a suit.  Bruce then
began his watch over the city as Batman. At first Batman was alone in his work
and considered a vigilante and a criminal himself. He was titled this by the
cops as well. But one cop saw that Batman was helping, Officer James Gordon.

In a force full of dirty cops Officer Gordon stood against that and worked to
make Gothom City safer for his newborn son. Gordon was the one person in the
beginning that saw Batman as a hero in a world full of crime. Later on him and
Batman would work side by side and use the Bat-Signal as a means to
communicate. Later on Gordon was able to topple toe corruptness of the police
and rose to the ranks of commisoner. But along the way he lost his wife
and son as his obsession with his job got a grip over him. Gordon would then
see his niece, Barbara, as a new daughter.

As the years went on Batman incountered a young man named Dick Grayson and
would later adopt him as his own son. After Dick's parents were killed
Bruce took him in as his adopted son. Dick then took on the role of Robin.

Batman and Robin would then work together over the next years. Robin, the
boy wonder, used a black and green colored costume and used a motorcycle to
get around on. Most of his weapons were like Batman's but with different
colors or slight differences in design. Robin got his name because it was
his nickname from his family for his quick movements during a family crisis.

After several years Robin moved onto college and began to work with the Teen
Titans. Over the next few years Batman's enemies started to move from petty
theives into psychotic criminal masterminds. Some of these enemies were
the Penguin, the Riddler, the Scarecrow, and Ra's Al-Ghul. As Robin came and
left to live his own life Batman would occasionally be helped by Batgirl who
was actually Barbara Gordon. After awhile Batman and Robin had a falling out
over Batman becoming concerned about Robin's safety. Robin then got rid of that
name and became Nighthawk.

Batman encountered many enemies over his career as Batman. Batman had used his
apperance and actions to bring fear to enemies. He was successful until he
was fought against by a foe who was to deranged to even be scared of Batman. He
was called the Joker. The Joker saw things in his mind that were so emotionally
deranged the Batman is unable to make the Joker fear him. This made Joker
Batman's arch-enemy.

To replace Robin, Batman began to train Jason Todd, whose parents were murdered
by Two Face. Jason was too angry at the world and Batman tried to have Jason
concentrate that anger into crimefighting. Jason was eventually murdered by the
Joker. After the death of Jason, Batman dived into an even darker state. The
next Robin was Tim Drake. Batman insisted that he take the same training as he
had taken in his younger days.

Over the years as Bruce Wayne was Batman he was romantically linked with
several women. He was once romantically linked with one of his most dangerous
rival's daughter, Ra's Al-Ghul. She was only using Batman to help her find her
father and in the end was betrayed by her. Batman would then later on fall in
love with Catwoman. Catwoman and Batman would develop a relationship but it
would not last.

Batman, the world's greatest detective, continues to watch over the crime over
ridden streets of Gotham. He works to stop crime by bringing fear into the
hearts of even the toughest villian. Only the most deranged of minds is unable
to be scared by Batman. Batman works from the shadows and rooftops of Gotham
and is often hated and considered a vigilante. The awards from protecting the
city are small but Batman continues to work for his own personal reason, to get
vengence for the death of his parents.

Common Enemy=

Name: Clowns

Weapon: Exploding Bears(Rare); Fists(Common)

Difficulty: *

Strategies: Not much to these. Move in close and punch them. This will stun
            them and they will not be able to attack. The Exploding Bear
            equipped enemies are more of an issue. They only have one bear so
            as soon as they throw it run away to avoid being damaged by the
            explosion of the bear.

Boss=

Name: Joker

Weapon: Summons Exploding Bears from the ceiling; Teleport

Difficulty: ***

Strategies: Joker, himself, does't pose that much of a threat. But when he
            calls bears down from the ceiling this is when things get tricky.
            You will have to dodge the bears but this is no easy task as they
            nearly fill the room. The best tactic for avoidance is to grappel
            onto the ceiling in the middle of the room. Joker is your main
            target. There are four corners of the room he will appear in.
            Should he appear in a corner you are already in he will instantly
            over to another corner. You will have to move quickly to attack
            him. If he is on a platform above you grappel up and hit him. If
            he is across from you, throw a bat-a-rang at him. Before he
            teleports off the screen he'll leave you with a room full of bears
            to keep you occupied.

Level 2

Common Enemy=

Name: Mobster

Weapon: Handgun

Difficulty: **

Strategies: This enemy is annoying. Unlike the Clowns they are able to attack
            from a distance making you have to time your movements. As soon as
            they fire at you dodge the bullets by jumping over them. Keep
            jumping towards them until you reach them and can attack. It works
            best if you jump over their head so that you are behind them. This
            will let you get a hit in before they turn around and shoot. Using
            your bat-a-rangs from a safe distance works well. Or from a
            distance far away that you have enough time to jump the bullet if
            they fire at you.

Name: Jetpack Mobster

Weapon: Handgun

Difficulty: **

Strategies: Deal with them as you would with a regular mobster. The only
            difference is that they will be higher up from you so you're going
            to have to find a way to reach them.

Name: Pumpkin

Weapon: Unarmed

Difficuly: *

Strategies: Do not hit these bouncing pumkins. If you do they will blow up
            leaving a cloud of poison. Its best to just avoid them. Punching
            them will disable them.

Name: Arctic Soldier

Weapon: Ice Rocket Launcher

Difficulty: **

Strategies: Be careful around these guys. Their rocket launcher is able to
            freeze you in one hit. This will do a damage to you and leave you
            open for damage. Avoid their shots and move in to attack.

Boss=

Name: Scarecrow

Weapon: Flame; Summons Pumpkins

Difficulty: ****

Strategies: Standing next to him and repeatedly punching him works well. This
            will keep him from using his flamethrower but he will still be
            able to summon pumpkins. Scarecrow will only summon pumpkins from
            either the left side or the right side. The ledge at the top of
            the screen is a good spot to memorize Scarecrow's patterns. There
            will be an occasional pumpkin that will get up on the ledge but
            you can easily dodge it by standing here on the platform:

            Bat-a-rangs work great in this fight. To hit him from a safe spot.
            It will take a lot of hits to defeat Scarecrow so be careful with
            your health and the amount of damage you take.

Name: Mr. Freeze

Weapon: Ice Ray

Strategies: There is not much to Mr. Freeze. This battle can be easily won but
            it all depands on how well you remember the patterns of everything
            on screen. There are two ice cannons in the room that you will
            have to be catious of below I will show you a diagram of the path
            of the ice beams from the cannons.

            These are just the basic paths of the beams. Some will be able to
            hit onto the ledges so be careful of that. And also Mr. Freeze
            will be able to shoot you whenever you are close to him. Your main
            goal of this fight is to hit Mr. Freeze. In doing so he will run
            to the ledge on the opposite side of the room. If he hits you or
            you are hit by an ice beam he will run to the opposite ledge.

Common Enemies=

Name: Plant Monster

Weapon: Seed Shoot

Difficulty: *

Strategies: These are very simple enemies. It take one hit to defeat them. Be
            quick though because they are able to shoot a seed out at you.
            It is a good idea to jump over them and hit them from the back.

Name: Mutated Palm Tree

Weapon: Coconuts

Difficulty: **

Strategies: These enemies are more of a threat than the smaller plant
            monsters. Not to difficult unless you are in a very small room.
            They walk quickly back and forth and drop coconuts that can bounce
            of the ground. You have to move quickly to get in a hit before it
            launches a coconut and begins to walk in the opposite direction.

Boss=

Name: Catwoman I, II, and III

Weapon: Martial Arts

Difficulty: ****

Strategies: The fight with Catwoman is fairly straight foward. Both of you are
            unarmed so you will have to fight with your barehands. Catwoman
            has two attacks. The first is that she has a roundhouse kick. She
            will use this if you get to close to her. The second is that she
            has a scratch attack. As you move closer to Catwoman she will move
            away from you. She will also move closer to you as you move
            farther from her. If you push her into a wall she will do a wall
            jump over your head to get on your other side. The best tactic is
            to rush Catwoman and pummel her with punches so that she will be
            stunned from your hits.

Name: Poison Ivy

Weapon: Crossbow and Vines

Difficulty: *****

Strategies: You can't hit Poison Ivy directly because she is guarded by her
            Venus Flytrap. You will have to run up and punch it whenever it
            begins to open and close. After hitting it once it will close and
            won't take any more damage until after its counter attack.
            Starting from the right a wave of vines will pop up from the
            ground to the right. Stay as close as you can to the left wall to
            avoid being hit. Also note that as you move closer to the Flytrap
            Poison Ivy will shoot at you with a crossbow. The arrows she
            shoots can be dodged by kneeling. Also be careful because vines
            will randomly pop up out of the ground.

Common Enemies=

Name: Sand Robot

Weapon: Crossbow

Difficulty: **

Strategies: As the name implies they are made out of some kind of sand. After
            hitting them once they will turn into a sand like substance and
            fall onto the ground. After a few seconds they will regenerate.
            They attack with a crossbow but that is easily avoided. After
            turning them into sand run away.

Name: Box Transformer

Weapon: Transform

Difficulty: ***

Strategies: These are very annoying to deal with. They start off as very small
            robots and then transform into boxes that will spin around the
            room hitting anything in its path. It's best to avoid these seeing
            how as you get close to them they might transform.

Name: Small Bird

Weapon: None

Difficulty: *

Strategies: These birds will fly onto the screen and crash into you. Punch
            them once to defeat them. Not much of a challenge to them. They
            fly onto the screen.

Name: Motor Bird

Weapon: Charge

Difficulty: **

Strategies: Motor birds are able to charge into you when you enter their line
            of sight. It takes three punches to defeat them. If they are a
            ledge above you wait till they move to the edge and then jump and
            punch them.

Boss=

Name: Riddler

Weapon: Hit, Teleport, Clone

Difficulty: ***

Strategies: This fight is simple. All you have to do is hit Riddler when he is
            on a platform. Be careful as you move into hit him because he can
            still hit you with his cane. As soon as you hit him once he will
            make copies of himself. They will begin to move around the room.
            Hit any of these copies and they will turn into balls and begin to
            move around the room and make a lunge at you. Dodge it and then
            they will moe off screen. Riddler will reappear on one of the
            platforms and the process will begin again.

Name: Penguin

Weapon: Parasol Bombs, Umbrella

Difficulty: **

Strategies: This fight isn't too tough. The Penguib will be hard to reach
            during the fight because he will be on a bird flying around the
            top of the screen. You will have to jump up and hit him. A good
            tactic is to grappel onto the ceiling on the opposite side on
            which the Penguin is and throw bat-a-rangs at him. As for his
            attacks he shoots out a stream of bullets from his umbrella in a
            diagonal direction. And he will be able to crash into you if
            you are next to him. Also you will have to be careful because
            there is a never ending rain of parasol bombs.

Boss=

Name: Clown Drill

Weapon: Drill, Card Toss

Difficulty: **

Strategies: This fight is very easy. It's all based on your movements. As the
            Clown's face stops for the first time it means it is about to slam
            into the ground. Move a slight distance away but not to far. With
            its face stuck in the ground run up to it and punch it to do
            damage. Then the face will lift back up into between the hands.
            Once again after a few seconds of moving to the left and right the
            clown will stop. But this time it will shoot cards from its hands.
            Dodge the cards until the clown stops once more. Then the next
            time it stops it drops its head again.
