I. Introduction
===============
Batman Forever features a training mode which allows you to simulate a battle
with nearly any character in the game. It's supposed to be a representation of
the holodeck that Batman keeps in his cave.
Here, you also get the opportunity to control bad guys for a change.
Unfortunately, the manual forgot to say what their special moves are, so I've
got them down here. Probably not all of them, though. And the names aren't
official, either.
NOTE: Move directions are based on Control Method 1.
==========
II. Inmate
==========
A typical inmate from Arkham Asylum, the craziest place on Earth. His powers
of electricity make him a formidable foe. Being criminally insane doesn't
hurt, either.
--------------
a. Bull Charge
--------------
Press Forward, Forward, and then B.
---
The inmate charges forward, like a bull. It's a good way to get across the
screen.
---------------
b. Ground Shock
---------------
Press Forward to Down, and then X.
---
Sends some electricity through the ground. It's quite effective on those who
forget to jump.
------------------
c. One-Armed Throw
------------------
Press Forward, Forward, and then A at close range.
---
Grabs opponent with one arm, and throws.
------------------
d. Nightstick Toss
------------------
Press Down to Forward, and then B.
---
Inmate tosses a nightstick across the screen, giving the opponent a minor
bruise if it lands.
==========
III. Clown
==========
Seems like an ordinary clown, but he's actually evil. Attacks with strange
clown toys which really aren't that fun.
------------
a. Cartwheel
------------
Press Down, Forward, and then Y.
---
Clown cartwheels across the screen, damaging people in the way.
--------------
b. Fun Grenade
--------------
Press Down to Forward, and then Y.
---
Tosses a grenade that bounces across the screen. It's kind of like Mario's
fireballs.
-------
c. Horn
-------
Press Back, Forward, and then B.
---
Produces an effect similar to that of Robin's sonic gun, although with much
less range.
-------------------
d. Falling Dropkick
-------------------
Press Forward, Forward, and then B.
---
Leaps into the air, and falls toward the opponent feetfirst. The Clown seems
to be wearing shoes with spikes or something on them, so it's much more
effective than it sounds.
----------------
e. Extending Fan
----------------
Press X repeatedly
---
Clown's chest opens up, and a fan pops out and spins. It does severe damage to
the opponent at mid-range.
===============
IV. Sugar/Spice
===============
Two-Face's right and left-hand women. Less "everything nice" and more
"thoroughly unpleasant".
--------
a. Stomp
--------
Hold Down on the Control Pad, and press B repeatedly.
---
She disappears to the top of the screen, and reappears on the top of the
opponent's face shortly after.
------------
b. Handcuffs
------------
Press Down to Forward, and then B.
---
Throws a pair of handcuffs across the screen, binding any opponent it catches.
Possibly faster than Batman's bolas.
------------------
c. Flying Dropkick
------------------
Press Forward, Forward, and then X.
---
It's like the Clown's Falling Dropkick, but she gets more distance. Plus, she
wears high heels, so...
------------------
d. Spinning Blades
------------------
Press Down to Back, and then Y.
---
Sugar or Spice hold a knife in each hand, and move forward while rapidly
spinning. Will likely result in some cutting.
===============
V. Riddler Thug
===============
Nygmatech's new line of henchmen come with strange powers. Nothing you can't
jump over, though.
---------------
a. Energy Field
---------------
Hold L, and press Y repeatedly.
---
Riddler Thug starts glowing. Anyone who's standing next to him at the time
will be hurt instantly.
-------------
b. Bubble Gun
-------------
Press Down to Foward, and then B.
---
Fires a bubble at opponent. If used correctly, it will render opponent puffy,
immobile, and helpless.
------------
c. Acme Hole
------------
Press Foward to Down, and then X.
---
Place a hole on the ground. If opponent falls in, Riddler Thug can then
proceed to beating the hole.
===========
VI. Thug #1
===========
Of the two thugs available, this is the one who wears a mask. Enjoy bank
robbing and crashing sexy parties. Has a chainsaw and is not afraid to use it.
----------------
a. Chainsaw Surf
----------------
Press Down to Back, and then A.
---
Ride chainsaw across the screen. You might have to see it to believe it.
----------------
b. Spin Teleport
----------------
Hold Down, and press Y repeatedly.
---
The thug starts spinning, and goes into the ground. He then pops back up under
the opponent, and stops spinning.
----------
c. Grenade
----------
Press Foward to Down, and then X.
---
It's a grenade.
--------------
d. Chainsawing
--------------
Hold Down on the Control Pad, and press Y repeatedly.
---
Stabs opponent in the crotch with chainsaw. Only works when opponent is fairly
close. Highly effective.
===============
e. Chainsaw Gun
===============
Press Back, Forward, and then B.
---
Shoots a chainsaw blade at the opponent.
============
VII. Thug #2
============
He's known Thug #1 since childhood, and shares many of the same interests.
Unlike Thug #1, however, Thug #2 is a much better dresser. Also, he never
leaves home without his flame gun.
-------
a. Claw
-------
Press Back, Forward, and then B.
---
Thug attacks with some kind of claw, or fork, or something. It's range is very
limited, but it does heavy damage.
------------
b. Flame Gun
------------
Hold Down on the Control Pad, and press Y repeatedly.
---
Thug crouches, and aims his flame weapon into opponents face. It'll teach them
to back off.
----------------
c. Flame Thrower
----------------
Press Down to Forward, and then press B.
---
Shoots a ball of fire across the screen toward the opponent. Good times.
-----------------
d. Raining Spikes
-----------------
Press Down, Down, Down, and then Y.
---
Launch several pointy things in the air, in order to have them drop onto your
opponent's head.
=============
VIII. Riddler
=============
Enjoys asking questions. Wears lots of green. Wishes he was Bruce Wayne.
----------------
a. Question Mark
----------------
Press Back, Forward, and then X.
---
Sends a question mark floating across the screen, causing minor damage to
opponents for some unknown reason.
----------------
b. Crescent Beam
----------------
Hold Down on the Control Pad, and press Y repeatedly.
---
Energy shoots out of Riddler's cane, heavily damaging anyone it touches. It
doesn't have very much range.
------------------
c. Flying Grenades
------------------
Press Down to Forward, and then Y.
---
The grenades can fly because they have wings. Like bats.
--------------
d. Brain Drain
--------------
Press X repeatedly.
---
Riddler's brain-sucking device also happens to make opponents really dizzy, so
he can take the opportunity to get in free shots with his cane.
