NOTE: From now on, input will be described with the assumption that Batman is
facing to the right. So, when the input list says "forward", this means right,
and "back" means left. Mirror your input when Batman is facing left.
forward + punch = punch to the head (can chain up to 3 punches)
forward + kick = roundhouse kick
back + punch = punch behind you
crouch + forward + punch = crouching punch
crouch + back + punch = crouching punch behind you
crouch + forward + kick = crouching kick
forward, forward, hold punch = grab, keep holding punch, and: a. back = throw
b. forward = headbutt
c. up = knee kick
d. down = downwards strike
=WHEN SURROUNDED=
(one enemy close behind, another enemy far in front) back, back, hold punch =
grab, keep holding punch, and press forward = throw
(two enemies close on both sides) back, back, punch = smash heads
=GADGETS=
NOTE: from now on, when the directional comands are described with "to", this
means sliding input. For example, if it says "down to forward", this means
down, diagonally down-forward, forward, all without releasing the D-pad.
hold Up while in the air (not during high jump) = cape glide (release Up to
stop gliding, also works for making low jumps)
hold left/right (during cape glide) = accelerate left-right
punch (while holding Start) = cape morph (to return to normal, release Start
and then press any button)
down, left/right, punch = shoot grappling hook diagonally upwards (keep holding
punch to shoot further and to swing, release punch to jump off)
left/right, down, punch = shoot grappling hook upwards (keep holding punch to
shoot further and to swing, release punch to jump off)
down to forward, punch = batarang (you can buffer up to 8 batarangs at a time
as long as you stay on the same screen. You can keep pressing down to forward
up to 8 times and when you next press punch, you'll throw a batarang instead of
punching until the ones you've buffered run out)

homing batarang = hold punch + down to forward
sonic pulse globe = back, down, forward, punch
flash pellet = forward to down, punch
slippery goo = forward, forward, forward, punch

saw blade launcher: back, down, forward, kick
bat bola: hold kick + down to forward
holographic decoy: forward to down, kick
X-ray goggles: back, back, forward, punch
rocket boots: back, back, forward, kick
NOTE: 1. You don't have to wait for your action to end before starting to input
directional commands. You can input them shortly before animation for any other
action is finished playing, and then press the attack button just as Batman
returns to his idle animation. This works for rolls and gadgets.
2. There has to be a tiny pause between directional and attack inputs in
order for the roll and gadgets to work.
