{1.0} Introduction

The goofy, zany, Animaniacs have left the TV to try out a role in a children's
video game. Wakko, Yakko, and Dot are in need of some special items from
celebrities to start their own shop. So, they travel around their looney
world in search of these items.
Needless to say, it will be a very, very tough journey. So go out and help
them. This guide will help you too in case you get a little stuck on any
part of your journey.

{2.0} Basics

While playing the game, you can only use one character at a time. Each of the
three characters have a special ability in which you must learn to use to get
through the game. Here's what each character can do:
Yakko:
Move boxes.
Use Paddleball.
Yakko is probably the best of the 3 being the leader of his friends and having
not 1, but 2 abilities. The Paddleball also has no lag at all. The Paddleball
is used mostly for beating up Ralph, the big bad policeman who wants Yakko
and company to be taken away. Wonder why he's afraid of a tiny ball?
Wakko:
Use Hammer.
Wakko is the zanyest of the 3, thus the name Wakko. He's a weird little fellow
that uses a Hammer. This Hammer can break weak rocks with cracks in them,
activate switches and levers, activate seesaws, and strangly enough, light
fuses. Wakko's Hammer has many uses but comes with a huge lag. Learn to use
the Hammer a bit early for enemies. Here's a tip: Wakko's Hammer has less lag
in the air, so if you deperately need to use the Hammer, tap A for a small
jump then quickly hit B for a faster Hammer attack.
Dot:
Blows Kisses.
Dot is the youngest of the 3 characters, the only girl in her family, and the
only cat. She blows Kisses to charm people and other animals. Dot's quite
useless other than the fact that she's small so some attacks just pass right
over her head. Her Kisses have lag on the ground, but not on the air. Like
Wakko, jump before attacking for a quicker attack.
The Map Screen:
===============
On the map, there will be many things that you should watch out for. On the
top bar of the screen, there will be several things that you should know.
Hearts: Shows your life. Each time you're hit, it takes between 1/4 - 2 hearts
out of your 4. When you run out of hearts, you lose a life and must start over
at a certain part of the level. Some obstacles take out all of your life
automatically.
Yakko Face: This shows how many lives you have. Once you run out of lives, you
must start all over again from the beginning of the level and get a Game Over.
Foord: Replenishes life.
Continues: This isn't actually shown on the screen, but once you run out of
lives you'll be asked to continue. You'll lose some points and be able to
continue your game. Once you run out of continues, you lose all your points
and must start the game over like you did nothing. Hopefully, you'll have a
password!
Clock: This shows how much time you have left. I have no clue what they are
based on because I know it's not minutes and not seconds, and definitely not
hours. Anyway, once you run out, you lose a life.
Stars: These increase the number of points you have and when you get 100, you
get an extra life. These stars are scattered all over the level.
Points: These are just for fun really. Brag about them. The more you have,
the more skill.
Now that you know the basics, let's get the adventure started.
Beating a Level
===============
After you beat a level by clearing all the obstacles, getting the special
celebrity thing and defeating the boss, you will be take to a reel. Place your
bets and let the wheel spin. When it lands on a character you placed a bet on,
you will get some extra stars. Do this continuously to earn extra lives.
Remember that you bet stars though, 1 or 2.

{3.0} Walkthrough

When you turn on your game, you will get to the main screen. There will be
three options: New Game, Password, and Options. In the options menu, you can
do all sorts of stuff such as setting the difficulty level. The password just
takes you to a previous level which you have beaten. What we want here is the
new game option.

(3.1) Practice Stage

You start out on top of the Warner Bros. tower. Just jump off and lean towards
the left to collect some stars. Walk along to see a box. Push it using Yakko
towards the brick wall. Now jump on the box and over the wall. After the wall,
there will be a bomb. Switch to Yakko and use the Hammer. Make sure you stand
away from the wall to avoid taking damage. Finally, switch to Dot to kiss the
dog and make it run. That ends the practice stage.

(3.2) Stage 1

Stage 1 starts off with a box right next to you. Push the box all the way to
the right and jump over the ledge collecting the star midway if you wish. You
will now see a swinging nest with a bird on it. Switch to Dot and blow it a
kiss as it comes near by. Now is the tricky part: Jump onto the nest when it
swings by you. On the swinging nest, jump over the camera and onto the next
set of nests until you reach the end.
From here, you will see a cannon. Light it with Wakko's hammer and jump in. It
will blast you across the screen. Now keep jumping over the ledges until you
see a man walking between two ledges. Blow a kiss with Dot standing on the
left ledge and wait for him to stop walking. On the ledge, jump on his head
and then onto the higher ledge.
When you keep walking, you will see a box and a row of spikes. Pull the box
with Yakko by pressing B and right. Jump over the box and push it towards the
spikes. Now jump over the small lights to the end of the spike row. Be
careful, if you fall, you lose two hearts!
Enter the next screen. You will see a boat and a bunch of fish in the water.
Hop on and the boat will start moving. You must have good reflexes to pass
this part of the level. Jump over the lights and crocodiles. After 5
crocodiles, you'll see Ralph the policeman closing in on you riding on a croc.
Just keep tapping B and he'll fall withing 3 hits of Yakko's paddleball. Make
sure you don't fall into the water, once you do you automatically lose a life.
Onto the next screen. The boat will fall down a waterfall. Jump on the logs to
save your life. Jump all the way to the right side of the screen to see a
blocked door. Just sit back and relax and let the log you're riding on fall
until it reaches another opening. Grab the clock and go down again. Keep going
down until you reach a switch. Hammer it while getting the grape to replenish
your life. Now jump back up the logs to reach the blocked door to see it
opened! Now go through onto the next part.
Here, you will see a boulder seesaw like-thing. Stand on the end without the
boulder and hammer the seesaw. Make sure you're hitting the side, not thin
air. You'll fly up. Lean towards the left and grab a lollipop to replenish
some lost life. Jump over to the right side after a boulder dropped and run to
the end. You will see a long spiked floor. Hopefully, that lollipop put you
over 2 hearts because we're about to lose 2 jumping over this. Try and grab
the extra life if you can. Note: Sometimes, Ralph will appear rolling down the
hill instead of a boulder!
Keep walking and jump over another small spiked floor to reach another boulder
seesaw. Hammer it and fly up. Lean towards your left. Walk along the path to
find 3 boxes stacked on top of one another. Use Yakko to pull the boxes just
enough so none of them fall but you can walk on the side of them. If you mess
up, don't worry. Just jump back down to the seesaw and get back up again. Get
the stars when you're up there and jump down at the end of the walkway at the
right to land near another boulder seesaw. Hammer it and jump over to the
right. Jump down the empty space, you won't die. You will head on into the
next screen.
Here, you will see a bunch of moving platforms that shrink and grow. There are
snakes that occaisionally appear on the floor so you don't want to go down
there. When the first ledge appears, just hold right and keep pressing A when
you're about to fall of an edge to keep jumping onto the next ledge and make
it across the level. If you fall and meet the snakes, jump back onto the
lowest ledge and try again. You can also jump over the snakes although a
little difficult. Once you're across, you'll see a treasure chest. Use the
hammer on it to see that there are invisible blocks. Jump across as far as you
can from the highest ledge to land on these blocks. Make sure you jump up on
the first one to get a banana. Once across, you'll see your path is blocked by
a huge, gigantic boulder. Go below the land and use the hammer on the two
cracked rocks to break them let the giant rock drop. Make sure you don't
stand right next to the cracked rocks when breaking them or you will die.
Jump across the boulder and you will get to a water spout, the most annoying
thing ever. Just stay on it and wait or it to push you straight up. Then lean
to the right. But don't do it to soon or you will fall. Do it to late and you
won't make it. Sounds like those cell phone commercials. Ignore the stars at
the bottom and just make it across. One of those stars is unreachable anyway.
Now jump onto the ledge in midair. Jump to the other side. If you fall, use
the box to get back up. DO NOT get the lollipop. I repeat, DO NOT. If you do,
you'll start all over again from the snakepit. You won't even recover any
health. A cruel joke by the game developers.
Once over, you'll see a switch. Stand on the right side and hammer it. MAKE
SURE YOU ARE AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE WHILE STILL ABLE TO REACH IT. If you're
not, a spikes platform will drop and kill you. Hammer the next switch to open
the door to face Ralph, the boss of the stage.
BOSS: RALPH
===========
Remember Ralph the policeman at the beginning of the stage with the boat?
Well, he's back again and much tougher. You will see an elevated platform up
above where Ralph is guarding a hat. You are on the lower level with a boulder
seesaw. Jump on the seesaw and avoid any bombs that he drops on top of you.
When he comes near, jump and hammer the seesaw so the boulder touches Ralph
and you will have a quick hit. Ralph will get hurt. After you do this however,
spikes will appear on the ceiling and drop on top of you. Briefly leave your
perch and avoid the spikes. Then jump back on the seesaw.
Occasionaly, Ralph will come down and hurt you from below. This is indicated
when Pinky and the Brain run across the screen. Switch to Yakko and use the
paddleball to hurt him and send him back on top.
After about 5-8 hits whether with the paddleball or the seesaw, Ralph will
off the screen. You are now able to move all the way to the right and up some
steps to claim your hard-earned prize. Make sure you right down the password!

(3.3) Stage 2

The level starts out with a Ralph fight already. He throws bombs again, but
this time they automatically explode. Use the paddleball a few times to blow
him away. Now horses will start running across the screen. Jump on the back of
each one and quickly jump on top of a cactus to pass this part of the stage.
Now you will see a box. Pull it out and jump onto the ledge. Now push the
next box so you can jump onto a ledge with a child on it. The child will run
off and the dog will chase after her. Get the apple to replenish some life and
move on.
On this screen you will see the some small platforms. Jump onto them and anto
the large one with two boxes. Pull the first one just a bit so you can jump in
between the boxes. Push the second box into the spike put. Now jump across.
Here, jump on the box, then the ledge to the left. Use Wakko, jump and quickly
hammer the switch at the top to bring it down. Use the hammer again to bring
the bridge down. Walk across the bridge and switch to Yakko. You will see
Ralph again! This time he has a shotgun. Use Yakko's paddleball and hit him as
far away as possible because as soon as he's hit, the shotgun will go off.
Keep walking as you hit him. Push him just enough so you can run through the
door.
At the start of the stage, you'll see large chandeliers hanging above your
head. Don't walk under them. Just tap right under them and quickly out to
make them drop and you won't get hurt. There are also rolling barrels here.
These are easy to avoid, they come in groups of 4's; you can also jump over
them. Stay on the ledges above you. To ascend the stairs, wait for 4 barrels
to pass then quickly jump over them. Then you'll see a high ledge hanging over
a small open space with a switch. DO NOT rush over to the switch. Wait 4 more
barrels so you won't get hit then go in and hit the switch.
Make your way up the high ledge. Keep going until you see some more ledges
which you can jump on top of. Jump across. You will see the dog and little
girl from earlier in the stage rolling on some barrels. Jump on top of them
to make them go away and proceed. Hit the switch and go down the hill.
You will now get to the next screen. Push the box to jump on the platform.
Keep going until you reach another platform with a box on it. Push it as far
right as you can without it dropping, then jump as far as you can. You should
reach the next platform. Jump on the box and through the wooden thing. This
can take a few times, for some reason it rejects you sometimes. You will now
be on a platform next to two boxes and above an extra life. Now here's the
trick: Pull the two boxes just enough so the two cracked rocks underneath it
don't touch it. Now jump over the boxes and hammer the cracked rocks. Go
forward over the fire pit to get your life, now head back. One or both of the
boxes should still be there. Either way, push the box into the next fire pit.
Jump over.
You'll see a hammer seesaw. You should know how these things work now, right?
Hammer it and you'll fly up. Lean to the right to get an ice cream to
replenish health, then do it again leaning towards the left. You'll see a
bunch of disappearing platforms again. Keep jumping across them to get to the
next level. All it takes is good timing. In the next screen, jump aboard the
train. Ralph will follow you and the two part boss stage will commerce.
BOSS: RALPH AGAIN
=================
Ralph is the boss again? That's right. He'll be in the background swinging
pies at you. This part is rather hard. Switch to Wakko and hammer the small
pole-like object to hurl your own pies. It takes a while for them to reach him
though, so make sure you hit the thing before Ralph is directly above you! The
thing also moves so be quick. Do this about 5 times to knock him off. Now
proceed to the next screen.
It seems we didn't beat him yet. Grab your goodies and head on to the second
part of the boss stage!
This part is tough. Ralph is now directly above you standing on a platform.
Switch to Yakko and quickly push the box near the camera, but not directly
next to hit. Make sure it's as far as possible with you still able jump it.
If you're too slow or the box is too near the camera, Ralph will catch you
and you automatically lose a life! If you do it good though, Ralph will be
left behing and the train will start running.
Ralph will run to catch up with you. Switch to Wakko and let him. Let him jump
on the train right on the coal and hammer the switch right next to it with
Wakko. A piece of coal will jump up and Ralph will be burned. Make sure you
avoid the coal coming back at you though if the thing above you is closed. Do
this again about 5 times and he will drop an item. Grab it and you'll have
cleared the stage!

(3.4) Stage 3
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Scary place, huh? This level starts out with a frightening vampire. I actually
haven't found a way to kill it. Just try to run as fast as possible :o Now
keep walking on the top level of the graveyard ignoring the pushable
tombstone. Soon enough, something should hit you making you fly all the way
back to near the vampire. Just head back to that movable tombstone. This time,
push it and go underneath.
Get the banana and push the other tombstone all the way to the right until you
can't because of the stone. DO NOT break the stone yet. Now break the rock and
push tombstone on the lower level so you can push the other tombstone on the
ledge towards the thing that bounded you back. Bit of a run-on sentence there
eh?
Keep walking to find another tombstone. Push it towards the switch. Jump on it
and walk on the upper level to a rock and two more tombstone. Push the
tombstone on top of the rock on the switch. Now walk onto the next screen.
This part of the level has very annoying flying books. It's hard to avoid
them, make sure you don't jump over them unless they are very close to the
ground. Now remember those chandeliers from Stage 2? They're here again. Take
a very small step forward, then quickly press back to avoid getting hurt.
Avoid the last flying book. The last mirror seems to show a vampire...
premonition?
You'll come across another vampire(or the same one from before?) It's hard
not to take some damage here. The first thing he'll do is fire three shots.
Then he'll jump up onto the ledge you entered on. When he's about to jump,
quickly go behind the box. Pull it close to where the vampire was(but not
quite on it) and jump over to the other side of the box when the vampire is
ready to jump back after three shots. Now switch to Dot and quickly jump up
and fire a heart to the vampire's head. He'll disappear.
Now push the box to the ledge so you can jump over it. Keep going and land on
the chandelier. Let it drop after a few seconds with you standing on it. Go
up to the statue and break the pillar holding it. After the pillar is broken,
walk all the way to the left and pull the box to the right so you can jump
over the ledge. You now have to face the Pinky and the Brain, two little mice.
They will suck in some stuff from the cabinet next to you. Watch where the
things come from. If they are from the top, Go nearer to the mice and jump it
there. After about 10 things or so, the vacuum they're using will pop. Make
sure you don't touch them. Walk to the left and break the boulder. Pull the
box over to jump over the cabinet.
You'll come across a strange puzzle. There will be several boxes and holes.
The holes have a shape at the bottom which is the base of a shape. The boxes
all have shapes on them. Push them into their respective bases. The triangle
in the middle goes in the middle hole, the box to the right(a circle) belongs
in the first hole to the left and the first box belongs in the right hole.
Now go right and push the normal box all the way to the right. Jump on it and
move towards the hole that says exit. No, it is not the exit.
You'll be in the next screen. First, jump down from the platforms to grab a
clock. Go back up and pull the box all the way to the left. Wait for the
moving platform to get to you and push the box on it. Make sure the spikes
don't rain down on you and you don't fall into the water below. Hold B on the
crate and as soon as the moving platform reaches the next piece of land, push/
pull it right onto it. Push the box into the pipe on the floor. Now stand on
the switch and jump to the ledge.
Ignore the life and jump over the spike pipe above. Go down the platforms and
push the box connected to the cannon-like object into the lower ledge. Wait to
see the water drain and the door will open. Don't go through it, jump back up
the ledges and jump down to get your extra life. Now walk to the right and
jump over the small spikes. Get the apple and jump up the platforms. Go to the
left and pull the box to the right until it is about to fall. Jump on the box
and jump across to the ledge to the right. Get the apple and jump back. Grab
the box again and this time, pull it until it falls of the edge. Keep pushing
until you hit the ledge. Jump up and get the apple. Be prepared, the boss is
coming!
BOSS:VAMPIRE
============
I'll bet you thought it would be Ralph, didn't you? Well, this time it's a
vampire. Notice there are four switches on the screen. Each switch will make
the platform diagonal of it fall. Hit the switch that will make the vampire's
platform fall. Do this 5 times to win. Sounds easy right? No. The vampire
fires those same blasts from before. This time, there is no pattern. If it
takes you too long to hit the switch, the vampire will move. His attacks are
very quick. You can also stun him with Dot's kisses, but the stun is very
short. I recommend you just hammer away with Wakko. Guess and check is the
best strategy. As the vampire disappears, run to a random switch and hit it
before the vampire reappears. If the one he's standing on slants down, he'll
take a hit before he even gets a chance to attack! Once you get the item, you
beat him!
Congradulations! Watch the credits roll. But wait...the game's not over yet.
MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN THE PASSWORD IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE.

(3.5) Stage 4
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Put down your secret password and you now have access to the super secret
Stage 4! At the start of the stage, push the box all the way to the right.
Now jump on it and pull the box out to the left just a bit so you could stand
on it, but not so much so that the top box falls. Get to the top ledge. Jump
over Ralph and rush to the next screen.
Switch to Wakko immediately. This is tough. Like in Stage 2, Ralph will come
rushing at you as soon as you move to a certain spot. Go to the boulder
seesaw and hammer it. Stay on the right part of the seesaw and lean to the
right to get through the narrow path. Keep walking to find another seesaw.
Hammer that to get to the top and jump up the platforms. Head left to another
seesaw. Be careful, above you are little stream jets, don't hit them.
Keep hammering up as far as you can. When you can't get up any more, you
should be able to move right. You will see two boxes. Jump over them and head
all the way to the right. Fall down and head to the left, fall some more, then
to the right. Switch to Wakko before proceeding to the next screen.
BOSS: NOTHING
=============
Think I'm joking do you? I'm not. The boss really is nothing. As soon as you
hammer the first switch, the entire screen will fall. Literally. Hammer the
switches as fast as you can. Remember, jumping and then pressing B quickly
will have less lag, but only do that if you are skilled. DO NOT GO BACK FOR
ANYTHING. After you finish the row of switches, quickly switch to Yakko by
pressing select quickly twice. Walk down and you should see a box. Pull it out
fast and ignoring the life, walk up the platform over gas bag.
Now switch to Wakko quickly and hammer two more switches. Keep going to find
the dreadful disappearing platforms. Jump and them and move along and hammer
the switch right after the box. Now move back and switch to Yakko, pull the
box back and jump over the platform as fast as you can. Congradulations! You
beat the last stage! Well, almost. You have one more boss.
FINAL BOSS: PINKY AND THE BRAIN
===============================
This is the final boss. Pinky and the Brain has stole all of your special
items! We must defeat them. They are combined in a tall man costume. Pinky
is right at waist level throwing bombs. Avoid them. Switch to Dot and jump
using a heart move. If it hits, Pinky will get confused and throw an unlit
bomb. Switch to Yakko and push the bomb towards Pinky and the Brain and then
quickly switch to Wakko to light it. If you're too slow, the bomb will
disappear. Do this around 5-10 times to beat them. Quite simple really, it
just takes skill to avoid their bombs.
After you beat them, watch the credits again! Congradulations on beating the
game!

Q: Where can I find this game?
A: Someplace very old. I got this as a gift when I was a kid :o
Q: Would this be a good gift for my child?
A: No. This game is really hard, strangely enough. It's terrible anyway. Go
buy Pokemon instead.
Q: Sometimes, the game just freezes or there are things blocking my way.
A: This game is glitchy. I recommend that you just follow the steps in my
guide. Sometimes things like that happen, it happened to me a lot.
Q: Is there a ROM for this game?
A: Probably not. If you find one for Color a Dinosaur, then maybe. But I don't
know of any.
Q: Do you know any cheat device codes for this game?
A: Nope.
