04.) Version History..................................[VH]
Version 1.00 (03/25/2008) - This should completely cover the game, barring
more download puzzles to be added and minor updates regarding accessories and
the such.
Game Play is broken up into six major Phases (or parts):
1. Draw Phase - This explains itself where you draw your next card from your
deck. However, if you cannot draw anymore cards from the deck, you lose
the duel
2. Standby Phase - An automatic phase, usually where cards that have effects
that trigger during the Standby Phase, activate their effects if the
conditions are met
3. Main Phase One - Within this phase, you can Normal Summon ONE monster
(unless you have played a card that allows otherwise), play any Spell
Cards you wish to play, set any Traps or Quick-Play Spell Cards
4. Attack Phase - Where the real battles begin, but watch yourself as your
opponent may have a Trap of his own waiting in the wings
5. Main Phase Two - This comes only after the Battle Phase and is a
strategic must for many expert and even the up and coming player
6. End Phase - This, of course, comes as the phase where you hand the action
over to your opponent. Some cards effects activate here as well
1. Drawing - This is the taking cards from your Deck. This is done during
the Draw Phase or with the effect of another card
2. Hand - This is where your Cards are held until used. The maximum hand
size is six. If you have more than this at the End Phase, you must
discard until you have six in your hand again
3. Discarding - This is either throwing away a card from your Hand via a
card effect or an End Phase with a Hand size more than six cards
4. Normal Summoning - This would be bringing a monster from your hand onto
the field in a face up vertical positioning (Attack Mode). It can only
be done once a turn, unless you have a card effect that tells you
otherwise
5. Setting - This is placing a card facedown in its respective Zone. Once
per turn, instead of Normal Summoning a monster in Attack Mode, you may
set it in a horizontal position (Defense Mode). Setting Spell or Tarp
Cards in the Spell/Trap Zone requires they be in a vertical facedown
position
6. Tributes - This is sacrificing a monster on the field or from the Hand
in order to summon a High Level Monster or fulfill a monster effect
7. Activation - Playing a Spell or Trap card when the requirements to do so
are met
8. Attack - Declaring battle between your monsters and your opponent's
monsters
9. Direct Attack - Declaring battle when your opponent has no monsters to
defend him or her self
10. Direct Damage - Damage resulting by a monster attacking your Life Points
directly
11. Effect Damage - Damage from card effects that are not a result of battle
12. Surrendering - This is ended the game, under your own power, and
declaring yourself the loser. This can only be done after the 10th turn
The Playing Field is broken up into sections, as follows:
1. Monster Zone - This is where the Summoning and Special Summoning of
monsters takes place
2. Spell/Trap Zone - This is where you can Activate and/or Set your various
Spell or Trap Cards
3. Deck Zone - This is where your Deck is stored
4. Graveyard - This is where cards are sent after destroyed, their effects
have been fulfilled, or discarded from Hand and/or Deck
5. Field Zone - Only one Field Spell Card can be active at a time
6. Removed from Play Zone - This is where cards that have been removed from
the current duel are placed. This is an unreachable Zone, except through
a card effect
Monster cards are broken into the following classes:
1. Normal Monsters - These cards have yellow borders and contain flavor text,
but no abilities of their own
2. Effect Monsters - These monsters have an orange border and contain their
own abilities, which either are automatically triggered or must be
triggered manually
3. Fusion Monsters - These monsters bear a purple border and usually have to
be summoned using the Fusion Material monsters listed on the Fusin
monster and Polymerization. Although, there will always be exceptions to
this rule
4. Ritual Monsters - These monster have a blue border and must be summoned
using either their signature Ritual Spell card or another Ritual Spell
card that allows them to be summoned
5. God Cards - There are three of these: Obelisk the Tormentor (Bright blue
card), Slifer the Sky Dragon (Bright red card), and The Winged Dragon of
Ra (Yellow card). These require three tributes and have more devastating
abilities than most monsters
6. Level 1-4 Monsters - These require no sacrifices to Summon or Set them
7. Level 5-6 Monsters - These require the sacrifice of one monster on the
field to Summon or Set them
8. Level 7-8 Monsters - These require the sacrifice of two monsters on the
field to Summon or Set them
9. Level 9-12 Monsters - These require the sacrifice of three monsters on
the field to Summon or Set them, although most of these have other
special requirements to bring them out
Spell Cards (Green colored cards) broken into the following classes:
1. Normal Spell Cards - These have no symbols and can only be played during
your Main Phases
2. Quick-Play Spell Cards (Marked with a lightning bolt-like symbol) - These
cards can be activated from your hand during your Main Phases and even
your Battle Phases, unlike Normal Spell Cards. They can also be Set (or
placed face down in your Spell and Trap Zone) to be used during your
opponent's turn to try and throw them off
3. Equip Spell Cards (Marked with a cross-like symbol) - These cards are
attached to monsters in order to either enhance or hinder their
performances during play
4. Continuous Spell Cards (Marked with an infinity symbol) - These cards
stay on the field until destroyed. They provide constant effects that,
more often than not, work in your favor
5. Ritual Spell Cards (Marked with a flame-like symbol) - These cards are
the key to summoning the corresponding Ritual monster in your hand by
sacrificing the appropriate amount of monsters
6. Field Spell Cards (Marked with a compass-like symbol) - These Spell cards
affect monsters in various ways and sometimes have other beneficial
effects. Only one may exist on the field at a time, so if you have one
and your opponent plays one, yours will be destroyed and vice versa
Trap Cards (Fuchsia colored cards) broken into the following classes:
1. Normal Trap Cards - These cards, once set, can be used the following turn
or any turn thereafter
2. Continuous Trap Cards - Once set, these cards can be used the following
turn or any turn thereafter, but these stay on the field until destroyed
3. Counter Spell Cards - Once set, these cards are practically unmatched in
speed and usually can only be triggered in order to counter a specific
card or play from your opponent
Now that these basic terms are under your belt, we can begin to explore the
game's many modes.
1. CPU Duel - This is where you can play computer opponents unlocked by the
Duel World Duel Spirits (Explained better a little later in this guide)
or Ghost downloaded off the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
2. View CPU Duel (Unlocked when your Card Collection reaches 80%) - This is
where you can view your unlocked Spirits and/or Ghosts do battle between
each other. You can watch in either normal or fast speeds, depending on
your preferences
3. CPU Tag Duel (Unlocked when you reach the World of Darkness in Duel World
mode) - This is where you can play computer opponents unlocked by the
Duel World Duel Spirits (Explained better a little later in this guide)
in a 2 on 2 Duel
4. View CPU Tag Duel (Unlocked when your Card Collection reaches 80% AND you
have unlocked CPU Tag Duel) - This is where you can view your unlocked
Spirits battle between each other. You can watch in either normal or fast
speeds, depending on your preferences
5. Recipe Duel (Unlocked when your Card Collection reaches 90%) - This is
where you Duel the Copycat monster, having it use recipes for Decks you
have built and saved before
1. Easy Tournament Mode (Unlocked by unlocking 15 Level One Duel Spirits in
Single Mode) - Stray Lamb, Jerry Beans Man, Winged Kuriboh, Reaper on the
Nightmare, The Unhappy Maiden, Elemental Mistress Doriado, St. Joan,

Watapon, Petit Dragon, Gravekeeper's Chief, Kaiser Seahorse, Curse of
Vampire, Aquarian Alessa, Marie the Fallen One, Dark Magician Girl,
Elemental Hero Lady Heat, Il Blud, and Chrysalis Dolphin
2. Medium Tournament Mode (Unlocked by unlocking 15 Level Two Duel Spirits
in Single Mode, must have beaten Easy Mode) - Manju of the Ten Thousand
Hands, Airknight Parshath, Gear Golem the Moving Fortress, Ojama Yellow,
Woodborg Inpachi, Silpheed, Sand Moth, Water Dragon, Gemini Elf, Luster

Dragon, Kozaky, Great Shogun Shien, Sabersaurus, D.D. Warrior Lady,
Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, and Injection Fairy Lily
3. Hard Tournament Mode (Unlocked by unlocking 20 Level Three Duel Spirits
in Single Mode, must have beaten Easy and Medium Mode) - Demise King of
Armageddon, Cyberdark Dragon, Gladiator Beast - Heraklinos, Vortex Kong,
Evil Hero - Infernal Gainer, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, and all the
Anime characters
4. Tag Tournament Mode - Unlock 15 Tag Teams in CPU Tag Duel Mode
1. Deck Construction - This one explains itself, as you construct your
Dueling Deck here
2. Recipe Viewer - If you have saved any of your Decks into the game, the
make up of those decks can be viewed here
3. Card List - Shows the cards you have obtained through trading, purchasing
packs, or passwords. After a pack reaches 80%, you can see what the pack
contains that you are missing
4. Forbidden/Limited Card List - Your current and downloaded
Forbidden/Limited lists are here and can be switched depending on what
lists you have unlocked and/or have downloaded
1. Get Cards - Use DP earned in your Duels to purchase packs of cards to
strengthen your Deck
2. Password - Enter Yu-Gi-Oh card codes here, and for a higher price, you
can obtain specific cards. However, you need to have already obtained one
of the card in which you plan to put in the password
This mode takes you World to World, battling Duel Spirits for DP and many
unlockable features
World of GRACE:
1. Skull Servant - He uses, obviously, a Skull Servant Deck and will unlock
the King of the Skull Servants in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
2. Nightmare Penguin - He uses a Legendary Ocean Deck and will unlock Reaper
on the Nightmare in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
3. Sonic Shooter - He uses a WIND element based Deck and will unlock
Silpheed in CPU Mode after having his wings clipped five times
4. Elemental Hero Knopse - He uses a Deck built around nullify damage and
will unlock Elemental Hero Lady Heat in CPU Duel after being beaten five
times
5. Kai Ryushin/Fairy of the Spring - Although Kai Ryushin is the only true
Duel Spirit, I'm listing these together as they appear in the same lake
in the World of Grace. Kai Ryushin uses a Legendary Ocean deck and, after
being beaten into submission five times, will unlock Water Dragon in CPU
Duel. Fairy of the Spring appears only if you choose to throw 100 DP into
the lake and gives you the choice of her left or her right hand. One will
give you nothing, and the other will give you a random equip card that
you would find in an early card pack anyway
6. Amazoness Paladin - She runs the Structure Coliseum, giving you a choice
of 13 different Structure Decks to battle her. Defeat her with all 13 and
you receive a bounty of goodies: an Amazoness Card Set, an Amazoness Duel
Disk, and Bastion Mishawa unlocked in CPU Duel. I think it is important
to note that this place is a nice, little spot to earn a few DP earlier
on as good cards are rare
7. The Cyrstal Seer - For 50 DP, she will give you a clue to where you
should go next on your journey. Occasionally, she will give you a card,
if you visit her often enough. She is not a Duel Spirit, thus she cannot
be dueled
After defeating a few of the Duel Spirits here once, Curse of Vampire will
appear beating up on a Gigobyte. Talk to the Gigobyte, and he will ask for your
help. You will then have to ante up a rare card to fight Curse of Vampire and
free Gigobyte. Defeat him and Curse of Vampire will be unlocked in CPU Duel
along with him giving back your card. Gigobyte will thank you and be on his
merry way. Then, the gate to the next world will appear. However, what would a
gate be without a guardian? Green Guardian - Embust guards the gate, and he
will challenge you to defeat three of his five decks:
1. Open and Close - This Deck focuses on the Mask cards and should be a
breeze regardless
2. Wiggling Beings - This Deck loves Bug type creatures and turning your
creatures into Bug types to stop you from attacking. Keep Spell/Trap
destruction cards handy and you should have little to no problem
3. Calm Spirits - This Deck centers on trying to control your monsters, but
hammer it with brute force and you should come out smelling like a rose
4. Silent Memory - This Deck relies on the card Macros Cosmos, which will
remove every card played and/or destroyed from play. Keep it off the
field and the deck should pose no threat
5. Silent Victory - This is a Silent Swordsman Deck, which focuses on this
card and its ability to be immune to your Spells one moment and
neutralize them all in the next. Kill Silent Swordsman Lv3 when it hits
the field and you should own this deck
Defeat three and the World of Sunlight is open to you, while defeating all five
will net you Syrus Truesdale from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel. However, three more
things linger in this world after you pass through:
1. White Magician Pikeru - She will ask you for a cute card from your
collection. Give her the cutest thing you can find and she will bounce
away happy and give you a chance to battle the next character. After five
or six uber-cute cards like Winged Kuriboh or Baby Dragon, she should
unlock herself in CPU Duel
2. Ebon Magician Curran - She uses a Direct Damage Deck and will unlock the
Dark Magician Girl in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
3. The Master of Oz Seal Stone (appears after all regular Duel Spirits have
been beaten once in this world) - You will have to summon the Master of
Oz card in order to pass this challenge and unlock Tyranno Hasselberry
from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel
1. Lady Warrior of the Wasteland - She uses a Warrior-type Deck and will
unlock the D.D. Warrior Lady in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
2. Kabazauls - He uses a Dinosaur-type Deck and will unlock Sabersaurus in
CPU Duel after being beaten five times
3. Legendary Fisherman - You can only find this Duel Spirit when you go to
the fishing hole (comes up at random times) and choose to fish and not
pay. He uses a Legendary Ocean Deck with himself as the centerpiece
4. Exxod, Master of the Guard Seal Stone (appears after all regular Duel
Spirits have been beaten once in this world) - You will have to summon
the Exxod, Master of the Guard card in order to pass this challenge and
unlock Marcel Bonaparte from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel
Now, you face down the Guardian Sphinx. He has five Duel Puzzles of his own for
you to solve:
1. Puzzle One:
a. Use the left Alien Infiltrator's effect to move it one space
to the left
b. Activate the Senet Switch cards on the Dueling Field to shift
Alien Infiltrator all the way to the left
c. Activate Blasting Fuse
d. Activate Mystical Space Typhoon on his Mirror Force
e. Use the other Alien Infiltrator's effect and the Senet Switch
from your hand to move it all the way over to the left
f. Once your monster is all the way to the left, enter your
Battle Phase, then choose to attack you opponent directly for
the win
2. Puzzle Two:
a. Summon Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger from your hand, chaining
Torrential Tribute to the summoning. Activate Topaz's effect
afterwards
b. Activate Crystal Blessing, using it on both copies of Crystal
Beast Sapphire Pegasus
c. Activate Crystal Beacon, choosing Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
d. Activate Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle's effect as it hits the
field, targeting both sets of Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger and
Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus. It matters not if you choose
to play with the effects of the two Pegasus cards
e. Attack for the win
3. Puzzle Three:
a. Summon Blazewing Butterfly in Attack Mode
b. Activate Super Double Summon on your Blazewing Butterfly
c. Use Blazewing Butterfly's effect to Special Summon Doom Shaman
d. Use Doom Shaman's effect to Special Summon Archfiend of Gilfer
e. Enter your Battle Phase
f. Have Archfiend of Gilfer attack The Fiend Megacyber, committing
suicide and activating Archfiend of Gilfer's effect. He should then
be equipped to Blowback Dragon
g. Use Doom Shaman to dismantle Blowback Dragon for the win
4. Puzzle Four:
a. Activate your Trap Card, Natural Disaster
b. Activate your Trap card, Rain Storm, choosing to destroy two cards.
Destroy one of those pesky Blue-Eyes White Dragons on the field
c. Activate your other Rain Storm Trap Card destroying the last
facedown Trap he has
d. Activate Book of the Moon to flip facedown Cloudian Eye of the
Typhoon and flip him right back up, thus regaining all the Attack
Points he lost due to the Rain Storm Traps
e. Summon Cloudian Cirrostratus and activate his ability to destroy
the other Blue-Eyes White Dragon
f. Enter your Battle Phase
g. Attack with Cloudian Eye of the Typhoon, and his effect will flip
all those annoying Destiny Hero - Defenders into Attack Mode.
Continue you attack by decimating another weak Defender with
Cloudian Cirrostratus
h. Enter Main Phase Two
i. Activate your facedown Spell Card Fog Control, sacrificing Cloudian
Eye of the Typhoon to add three Fog Counters onto Cloudian
Cirrostratus
j. Activate Cloudian Cirrostratus' effect on the last Defender for the
win
5. Puzzle Five:
a. Summon (DO NOT Special Summon) Alien Skull
b. Activate "A" Cell Scatter Burst on the Alien Mother, distributing
the A-Counters as follows: one for the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon,
one for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and four on one of the Armored
Zombie
c. Activate the Equip Spell Mist Body, placing it on the Armored
Zombie that has the four A-Counters on it
d. Activate your Trap Brainwashing Beam, targeting the Blue-Eyes
Ultimate Dragon
e. Enter your Battle Phase
f. Attack the Mist Bodied Armored Zombie with all three creatures at
your disposal
g. Now, while still in your Battle Phase, activate your other Trap
Card Interdimensional Warp. Select your opponent's Blue-Eyes White
Dragon and surrender control of your brainwashed Blue-Eyes Ultimate
Dragon
h. Your new Blue-Eyes White Dragon can now declare an attack on the
Mist Bodied Armored Zombie for the win
Three of five solved correctly will gain you entrance to his pyramid and five
of five will net you Maximillion Pegasus in CPU Duel. Now, we enter his pyramid
to see what awaits:
1. Don Zaloog - He uses a Dark Scorpion Deck and will unlock Dark Scorpion -
Meanae of the Thorn in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
2. Gravekeeper's Commandant - He, predictably uses a Gravekeeper Deck and
will unlock Gravekeeper's Chief in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
3. Dark Dusk Spirit - He uses a Zombie Deck and will unlock Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi
in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
4. Spirit of the Pharaoh - He only appears after the first three have been
beaten at least once. He uses a Deck focused on himself and will unlock
himself in CPU Duel after being beaten
5. Dark Mimic Lv1 - This Duel Spirit will ambush you if you choose to open
the chests that appear in the pyramid. However, sometimes these chests
will grant you DP, sometimes leave you with nothing, or sometimes a
battle with this Duel Spirit
About this time, upon exiting the pyramid and completing these tasks, you will
see a Sand Moth beating on a Pyramid Turtle. Help the Turtle by defeating the
Sand Moth in a Duel. You will unlock Sand Moth in CPU Duel and the Pyramid
Turtle, in a gesture of gratitude, will show you to the path to the underwater
portion of the World of Sunlight:
1. Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness - He uses a WATER type beatdown Deck and
will unlock Kaiser Seahorse in CPU Duel after being beaten five times
2. Abyss Solider - He uses a WATER type Deck focused on returning cards to
your hand and will unlock Chrysalis Dolphin in CPU Duel after being
beaten five times
3. Maiden of the Aqua - She uses a WATER type deck based on defenses and
will unlock Aquarian Alessa after being beaten five times
4. Otohime - She appears after you have beaten these first three at least
once. She thanks you for helping her friend Pyramid Turtle and requests
(more like forces... >.>) that you duel her. After you beat her into
submission, she will unlock her in CPU Duel and open the gate to the
World of Civilization
5. Ocean Dragon Lord Neo-Daedalus Seal Stone Challenge (appears after all
regular Duel Spirits have been beaten once in this world) - You will have
to summon the Ocean Dragon Lord Neo-Daedalus card in order to pass this
challenge and unlock Atticus Rhodes from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel
Another gate and another guardian... Shell Guardian - Savan will challenge you
to five different duels, imposing a different handicap in each one:
1. 40 Card Deck - This should be too hard as the minimum Deck has to have
forty cards, but if yours has more, just toss a few of them to your Side
Deck if you want to add them back later
2. 2000 LP - A Life Point handicap shouldn't be too hard, unless your Deck
relies on cards that drain LP for effects
3. Monsters Only Deck - The name says it all, so get a bit creative and this
should solve itself
4. Spells are forbidden - Once again, the name says it all. It's just my
opinion, but a Deck built on neutralizing/destroying Traps (a la Jinzo
and Royal Decree) seems to be a nice bet
5. Three of a Kind - You may only have cards in your Deck if there are three
copies of them. This means 42 is your minimum Deck count, but this
shouldn't be too hard
Three of five wins here will usher you to the World of Civilization. Five of
five wins here will net you an unlock of Alexis Rhodes in CPU Duel. Now, we
head forward to explore the next world.
1. Fox Fire - He uses a FIRE type Deck based on dealing you damage from his
many fire creatures and will unlock Molten Zombie after being beaten five
times
2. Great Angus - He uses a FIRE type beatdown Deck and will unlock Vortex
Kong after being beaten five times
3. Molten Behemoth - This behemoth appears at the volcano from time to time,
wanting you to duel him, so he can give you a card that is burning him up
4. Luster Dragon - He uses a Dragon type beatdown Deck and will unlock
Luster Dragon #2 after being beaten five times
5. Stronghold the Moving Fortress - He uses a Gadget Deck (if you don't know,
then you will... >.>) and will unlock Gear Golem the Moving Fortress
after being beaten five times
6. The Unhappy Maiden - She's different in the fact that she is a Duel
Spirit in need of some healing and not a sparring partner. You will need
to keep giving her cards that restore LP (about 4000 LPs worth) until she
feels better. She will unlock herself in CPU Duel for your act of
compassion
7. VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon Seal Stone Challenge (appears after all
regular Duel Spirits have been beaten once in this world) - Summon the
monster in the title of this challenge and win the duel to unlock Chazz
Princeton form Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel
At this point, travel back to the World of Grace and talk with the strange,
black creature. He will disappear, so head to the pyramid in the World of
Sunlight and find the green creature:
1. Ojama Green - He plays a Stalling Deck, so keep Spell/Trap destruction
cards at hand and you'll be golden, or green in this case. xD
He wants to fight, so beat him further with the ugly stick and proceed back to
the World of Civilization (However, win or lose, the event goes on the same
regardless...). Find the yellow creature being blast by a gun with legs and
help by, what else, dueling the mech:
1. Blowback Dragon - He places a Dice Deck that relies on gambles and rolls
of the dice. Luck is your only true weapon
After beating him, you will unlock Blowback Dragon and Ojama Yellow in CPU Duel
Kozaky's Lab will appear afterwards, so you know where you should go. In this
cluttered lab, you will face several of his 'creations':
1. Inpachi - Not really a threat in almost any sense of the word
2. Blazing Inpachi - Now, he's on fire... Joy... He will abuse the Mausoleum
of the Emperor, but you can too if your Deck hold any Tribute monsters
3. Woodborg Inpachi - They put him out and put armor on him now. Despite his
appearance, he likes to use a Burn Deck. It's trite, but you can get
through it more than likely. ^_~ He will unlock himself in CPU Duel after
this
Kozaky wants a treasure now, so you have to go, a la Indiana Jones, and go to
the new cave area to find said treasure:
1. Spirit of the Six Samurai - He runs a Six Samurai Deck (I wonder why...)
and will unlock Great Shogun Shien after being exorcised five times
2. Volcanic Slicer - He runs a Volcanic Burn Deck and will unlock Volcanic
Doomfire after being doused five times
3. Blazewing Butterfly - He runs a Zombie/Gemini beatdown Deck and will
unlock Il Blud in CPU Duel once beaten five times
4. Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu - He will forge for you Equip Spell Cards at a
price. He plays a Warrior type Deck only if you refuse to pay for your
wares. If you beat him, afterwards he will give you the Equip Spell Card
and tell you it would be better to pay next time
After beating the first three on the above list, the cave will hand you its
treasure, Limiter Removal. You can now enter it's password to get one, if you
either do not have one or if you are currently running a Machine Deck. Back to
Kozaky's Lab and hand him the Limiter Removal. An old friend will appear, get
modded by Kozaky and go on a rampage of which you must relieve him:
1. Giga Gagagigo - A typical Warrior type Deck that shouldn't give you a
problem. He will unlock Kozaky in CPU Duel after he is beaten
After this, Kozaky will show you the door. Not just to the lab, but out of the
whole world. Proceed and meet Speed Guardian - Ferrario. He will challenge you
with three Decks in a row. You will get no rest and LP recovery other than any
in your Deck. There is also a 10000 LP cap to your LP. Here are his Decks:
1. This Deck relies on throwing cards back to your hand and can be rather
annoying. With no real offense, keep on him and you should escape almost
completely unscathed
2. This Deck is utterly dependant on Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude dumping
Spells from the Deck, so he will NOT have to pay the costs of said Spells.
Kill Diamond Dude and save the duel
3. A Zombie Revival Deck... It's standard for zombie decks, but the real
threat stands if your LP is low enough
Neo-Spacian Dark Panther will introduce you to the world of Tag Duels and even
bring in Mythical Beast Cerberus/Darkblaze Dragon team to introduce you to
these new Duels, and the only kind you will play in this world. Win or lose,
you will unlock Axel Brodie from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel. Important note -
Winning 10 Duels against an opponent and they will become an available Tag
Partner. I would suggest finding one that fits your Deck build at the time and
dumping Dark Panther as soon as possible. Meet the denizens of the World of
Darkness:
1. Mythical Beast Cerberus/Darkblaze Dragon - They use the
Mausoleum of the Emperor to excess, so watch out and plan
accordingly. They unlock the team of Decoy Dragon/DD Dragon
after being defeated five times, and if you beat them the
first time, yes that does count
2. Goe Goe the Gallant Ninja/Lady Ninja Yae - Ninja/WIND
beatdown decks, but probably the easiest of the teams to
defeat. They unlock the Sasuke Samurai Team in CPU Tag Duel
after being beat five times
3. Vanity's Fiend/Vanity's Ruler - They try and lock down your
Special Summoning through the effect of their signature cards.
They will unlock the team of Machine King/Perfect Machine
King team after being beat five times
4. Dark Mimic Lv3 - This chest appears in the Darkness field. At
times, it gives you 500 DP, sometimes it gives you nada, and
sometimes a one on one duel with the chest itself
5. Vennominaga, the Diety of Poisonous Snakes Seal Stone
Challenge (appears after all regular Duel Spirits have been
beaten once in this world) - Summon her and win with her
effect (Not fun... >.<) to unlock Thelonius Viper from Yu-Gi-
Oh GX in CPU Duel
Renge (the creature with the big hands) is waiting to ambush you with his
friends from the Dark World. You will have to ante a 'Dark World' card in order
to take on the duo he sends at you:
1. Kahkki, Guerilla of Dark World/Zure, Knight of Dark World - This
duo uses DARK types supported by Dark World cards. Luckily, they
aren't too bright too use them correctly all the time. After
beating them, Renge will be waiting to start this whole process
again. This leads us to the next combatants
2. Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World/Sillva, Warlord of Dark World - Same
deal, only they are smarter and better equipped in the card
department. After beating them, Renge will be waiting to start
this whole process again. This leads us to the next combatants
3. Brron, Mad King of Dark World/ Reign-Beaux, Overlord of Dark
World - This is more of the same, but better and smarter still
seeing as they run cards that restrict your actions. Beating them
will net you them unlocked in CPU Tag Duel.
Talk and duel everyone one more time to undo each team's brainwashing.
Now, behold you have a creepy castle ahead of you. I wonder where we
should go next?? xD You will be thrust into two battles at this castle:
1. Gogiga Gagagigo/Mobius the Frost Monarch - Watch out and be ready
to sigh when Legendary Ocean turns up like a bad penny. This
WATER beatdown team focuses on Ocean's ability to lower WATER
monster a level, so keep your eyes peeled. They will unlock
themselves in CPU Tag Duel afterwards
2. Vampire Lord/Vampire Lady - Another typical Zombie Deck team, but
always watch for the Zombie beatsticks. They will unlock
themselves in CPU Tag Duel afterwards
An alien will come, curse you for undoing the brain washing, and do
what aliens do by disappearing into the night skies. Use that stylus to
go up and battle these suckers among the stars:
1. Harpie Queen/Harpie Girl - Harpies only get better with time, and
that's why I love them (That's just me. xP). Battle through and
unlock the Harpie Lady #1/Harpie Lady #2 team after beating them
five times
2. Metal Shooter/Satellite Cannon - They use Mausoleum of the
Emperor to try and bring out their biggest machines quickly. Use
something like a Mystical Space Typhoon or Dust Tornado after
they pay the LP to hurt them badly. They unlock the Adhesive
Explosive/Blast Sphere team after being stomped five times
3. Lich Lord, King of the Underworld/Alien Hypno - A DARK Alien
combo, odd but sometimes effective... Not often, because unlike
the others, these aren't made to mesh well. They unlock the Alien
Mars/Alien Psychic team after being beaten five times
After beating these teams once apiece, a new pair of aliens will come
and challenge you to the game's only Brainwashing Duel. This only means
you are controlled by the computer, so just play as often as you need.
The computer isn't the brightest crayon in the box... Afterwards, they
unlock themselves (Alien Infiltrator/Alien Shocktrooper) in CPU Tag
Duel and show you to the gate to the World of Order. Behold the
guardians of the gate, the team of Dark World Guardian - Gigori/
Underworld Guardian - Moley and their five decks:
1. This Deck combination contains and uses MANY Spell/Trap cards.
Use something along the lines of the Horus cards and Jinzo to
make this deck a moot point
2. This Deck combination contains Dark World cards, so remember your
earlier duels and you'll be fine.
3. A DARK beatdown Deck combination with many beatsticks
4. This Deck combination uses Fiends and Equip Spell Cards to make
them nastier than they were already
5. This Deck combination aims only to wait you out and deck you out.
It has many stall and high defense monsters
After you beat them three times, you will be on your way to the World
of Order. When you beat them all five times, you will unlock Aster
Phoenix from Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel. Onward to the next World!! ^_^
I honestly think this should have been the World of Grace, but that's
just my opinion. Now, you have to beat each duelist once to proceed
just like it worked in every other World. Here are the denizens you
will find in this newly discoved plane of Duel World:
1. Thunder Nyan Nyan - She uses a Female Deck with an
Injection Fairy Lily, so watch your back. Beat her
senseless five times to unlock Injection Fairy Lily
in CPU Duel
2. Absorbing Kid from the Sky - He uses a deck employing
stall and life gain, capped off by trying to blow you
up with the Agent of Judgment - Saturn. He will
unlock Marie the Fallen One in CPU Duel after five
defeats
3. Soul of Purity and Light - This is an optional battle
for a card if you defeat the Duel Spirit
4. Kiabaman - This is another optional battle. You must
summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon and win. Beating him
will unlock Seto Kiaba from the original Yu-Gi-Oh in
CPU Duel
Now, Lanyard will challenge you to an all Fairy type deck duel. After
winning, the next area will be open to you, along with a Gellenduo
wanting you to look for the Nova Summoner card for them. Keep your eyes
peeled and here are your next challengers:
1. Royal Knight - This is a generic Warrior type deck employing the
many Swordsman cards. He will unlock Light Effigy in CPU Duel
after being bested five times
2. Freya, the Spirit of Victory - This deck employs a Shinato
beatdown method, which can be BAD if left unchecked. She will
unlock Elemental Mistress Doraido in CPU Duel after having her
pom-poms clipped five times
After beating these two, talk to the Duel Spirits of the map once. They
will mention a strange cloud, so after talking to them all, go and find
your next challenge sitting on the clouds:
1. Cloudian Poison Cloud - Well, your first Cloudian opponent... He
can be quite annoying if they start to pile up the Fog Counters.
He unlocks himself in CPU Duel after beating him
Once beaten, he will reveal a path under him into the clouds. Three
Duel Spirits wait here, and the first time you fight them, they will
impose handicaps of varying kinds:
1. Dancing Fairies - They will impose you both start at 1000 LP, so
make a quick Deck filled with some potent ATK monsters and Quick
Burn cards. After beating the ladies five times, they unlock the
Gemini Elves in CPU Duel
2. Senju of the Thousand Hands - I'm pretty sure that he DOESN'T
impose a handicap, he just tries to run you over with strong
Ritual Monsters. After beating him five times, Manju of the Ten
Thousand Hands becomes your opponent in CPU Duel
3. Mokey Mokey - First time around, he makes you play him with an 80
card Deck. I don't have any real good suggestion, so ust go with
your gut on this one. After beating the question mark off his
head, Petit Dragon becomes a CPU Duel character
4. Exodius, the Ultimate Forbidden Lord Seal Stone Challenge - This
will appear after beating these creatures senseless. Win by
employing Exodius' effect. This will unlock Adrian Gecko from Yu-
Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel
After beating them all once, the Exodius stone and the Nova Summoner
card will appear before you. Behold, once you come out from under the
clouds, the Radiant Jeral guards the next gate. You must deck him out
in order to proceed.
1. Radiant Jeral - Employing things such as Needle Worms, Assualt on
Goblin HQ (using a monster like the Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys,
seeing as it must only be destroyed by A card effect), and other
Deck decimating cards should make this an easy victory.
Now, with him dealt with focus on the two new Duel Spirits in this
area:
1. Guardian Angel Joan - Her Deck focus around her signature card
(her) and the fusion, St. Joan. Beating her five times will net
you Saint Joan in CPU Duel
2. Marshmallon - He uses a LIGHT type beatdown with Shinato (of
course... o.<). Beat the fluff out of him five times and receive
Watapon in CPU Duel
NOTE before going on: Save at this point before proceeding, if you
haven't already. Now, talk to the Duel Spirit in front of the building
there and give him the Nova Summoner card. After a series of
misunderstandings, you must duel the judge:
1. Voltanis the Adjudicator - He likes Counter Traps, so he can
bring out his Voltanis the Adjudicator card and destroy your
cards equal to the number of Fairy types he sacrifices with its
secondary effect. Battle your heart out and win, seeing as I know
from personal experience, you will NOT unlock Voltanis the
Adjudicator and Airknight Parshath in CPU Duel if you lose. You
will not get another chance, unless you restart from my suggested
save time.
Now that that misunderstanding is in order, a new Duel Spirit waits for
you and his challenge is to deal him 8000+ damage (of any kind) in one
turn.
1. Harvest Angel of Wisdom - He will recover some LP with Spell
cards, but I would suggest something like Satellite Cannon or
Wave-Motion Cannon, stalling and countering him until you can
reach that critical amount
2. Rainbow Dragon Seal Stone Challenge - This appears in the next
area after Harvest is beaten. You should have the Crystal Beasts
pack at the shop, so buy up if you decide to take this on. As
usual, summon Rainbow Dragon and win. Doing so, you will have
Jesse Anderson at your disposal in CPU Duel
Now, it is time for you to scale the tower to your destiny. There are
several levels, and their challenges are as follows:
1. Alkana Knight Joker - You must activate 10 Spell Cards here to
proceed. If your Deck can handle this, great. If not, throw
something together that can beat up on him while getting in your
10 Spell Cards.
2. The End of Anubis - This is the last challenge's polar opposite
in the fact you must activate 10 Trap Cards. I would suggest
things like Chain Detonation, Jars of Greed, and other Traps that
chain well together
3. Arcana Force Extra - The Light Ruler - This one you must win when
your Deck holds 5 or less cards in it. It's a bit different, but
look for cards that cause you to thin your own deck, while being
able to attack and defend yourself.
4. White Night Dragon - This should be a bit easier, seeing as you
have to make him discard ten cards from his hand. Drop Offs,
Thestalos the Fire Monarch, and Don Zaloogs are a few modest
examples of the good cards to use for this task.
5. Beast King Barbaros - You must make a chain of 5 or more cards in
this challenge to clear it. Take advantage that he like to chain
and activate your chains before or in the middle of his.
Behold!! The gate appears and your true test begins:
1. Sky Guardian - Sefolile - She will challenge you to five straight
duels with no LP recharges in between. Dark Zane Truesdale in CPU Duel
is your reward for beating her
Now, let the creds roll and save afterwards, as we would not want to do
that again. xD;;
Now, the World of Chaos awaits... If you dare, which I'm sure you will.
This world serves mainly as a reminder that some of the toughest
duelists were kicked out of the other worlds:
1. Destiny Hero Plasma - He uses a Destiny Hero Deck, based on his
card's ability to lock out your monster's effects once it graces
the field with its presence. Beat him five times and Destiny Hero
- Disc Commander becomes your new friend in CPU Duel
2. Evil Hero Malicious Edge - He uses an Evil Hero Beatdown Deck
that works with brutal efficiency... Beating him five times will
unlock Evil Hero - Infernal Gainer in CPU Duel
3. Elemental Hero Neo Alius - He uses a Neos Contact Fusion Deck,
using himself when he cannot get the real Neos on the field.
Beating him down brings Neo Space Pathfinder to your CPU Duel
Menu
4. Elemental Hero Chaos Neos Seal Stone Challenge - You know the
routine on these stone, so build the Deck and Duel to win!! Jaden
Yuki from Yu-Gi-Oh GX will become a CPU Duel Duelist once you
beat this challenge
The caves below are next and shouldn't be written off, by any means:
1. Cyber End Dragon - His choice of a Deck scheme is as obvious as
the fact he has three heads. Machine Cyber Beatdown can be brutal,
but there are good counter cards if you look. The CyberDark
Dragon becomes your CPU Duel opponent if you beat him five times
2. Green Gadget - His is another obvious Deck scheme involving
Gadgets and machinery. Beat him five times and the Ancient Gear
Gadjiltron Dragon will be unlocked in CPU Duel
3. Horus the Black Flame Dragon Level 8 - Behold a monster that uses
a very close attempt to pure lockdown. Good for him, not so much
for you if you come unprepared... Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys will
be in CPU Duel after beating him five times
4. Phantom of Chaos Armytile Seal Stone Challenge - You know the
drill, so summon him and win win win!! You will unlock Yubel from
Yu-Gi-Oh GX in CPU Duel for defeating this slab of evil granite
Thus, this concludes the worlds. Keep beating up on them to 10 wins, so
you can experiment with different Tag Partners.
