Walkthrough/FAQ version 1.0......................................April 07, 2009
WarioWare: Snapped! is the sixth game in the WarioWare series of games, and the
first game in the series to be available only through download. It launched
with the Nintendo DSis Shop on April 5, 2009. As in previous versions of the
game, WarioWare: Snapped! utilizes the unique controls offered by the hardware
of the system it was made for, this time focusing on the DSi's inner camera.
Instead of input by button presses, touch screen, or motion sensing
controllers, the player's body is used to determine the outcome of the
micro-games. There are four sets of unique games as well as a bonus game in
this WarioWare iteratation. It's a little slim compared to previous WarioWare
titles, but it still offers the same quirky, fun, and off-beat gameplay fans of
the series know and love.

02.a. Prologue to a Coaster
----------------------------------------
****************************************
Upon launching the game from your DSi's main menu, you'll find a looping
animation that presents the story of this game. Wario, along with recurring
characters Mona, Jimmy T., and Kat & Ana each run their own style of roller
coaster in an amusement park.
Wario: Hurry, hurry! Step right up! Welcome to Wario Park!
The world's wackiest theme park, built by me, Wario!
Featuring not one, not five, but FOUR roller coasters!
But these aren't just any old coasters, oh, no...
Mona: Hey, Mr. Wario! Can I help?
Kat & Ana: Me two! Me three!
Jimmy T.: Don't start without me, yo!
Wario: Wahahahaha! This park is going to make me rich! RICH!
Bring all your friends! Wario park is now open!

02.b. This is a Set Up
----------------------------------------
****************************************
There are a few things to keep in mind before playing the game. The Nintendo
DSi is meant to remain stationary as you move around in front of the camera to
control the action within the micro-games. Here are Nintendo's suggestions for
setting up your environment for the best way to play this game, as found in the
HELP menu:
01) Play in a well-lit environment.
02) Avoid Letting light sources shine directly on the screen.
03) Make sure you won't bump into people or objects while playing.
04) Place the Nintendo DSi system on a flat surface.
05) Open the top screen to about 120 degrees, checking to see that the
inner camera displays your head and upper body clearly.
06) Position your face roughly two feet from the inner camera.
07) Avoid moving the system oce the game begins.
08) Remove gloves, hats, or anything else that might obscure your face.
09) When playing in direct sunlight or under bright lights, don't allow
your face to be overly shaded.
10) Prevent light sources from shining directly onto the screens.
11) Play in a place that makes proper color recognition possible.
12) Make sure there is a clear difference between your skin color and the
color of objects in the background.
WARNING:
If the brightness or color of the image being captured by the camera changes
during game play, the player's face and skin color may not be properly
recognized. To prevent this, avoid the following circumstances:
1) Playing next to a window, or in a place where lighting conditions are
likely to change.
2) Darkening your face by bringing it too close to the camera.
The following attributes may inhibit the Nintendo DSi system's recognition
abilities:
1) Eyebrows are obscured
2) Wearing glasses
3) Thick facial hair
4) Hair color is too light
Before each game begins, you must match your head and/or hands to the image
that appears on the screen. The pose shown will be used to play the following
game. If you aren't able to match up to the image shown, the game will return
to the main menu.

Tapping the touch screen during these pre-game poses will pause the game and
give you the option to quit the game.
After the game loads, an instruction will appear and you will be prompted to
complete the required task within the allocated time. The movement of your head
and hands will determine the outcome of the game.
Tapping the [QUIT] button at the bottom of the touch screen will return you to
the main menu.
To completely exit the game, either turn off the DSi System, or tap the Power
Button to return to the DSi main menu.
Unlike WarioWare: Touched!'s sleep mode, the feature found in WarioWare:
Snapped! isn't as accomodating. As soon as the top screen is closed, the game
is reset and you'll receive a message stating [The Nintendo DSi was closed and
the game was reset.] the next time you open up the system. Tapping the [OK] box
on the touch screen restarts the game. Any pictures snapped during micro-games
will be lost.

Tapping the touch screen brings you to the game's main menu, which features
direct access to the games and instruction manual. After tapping a game icon,
the icon will change to an [OK?] confirmation icon. Tapping the [OK?] icon will
launch the game. If you don't tap the icon a second time, after about ten
seconds it will deactivate.
After completing a set of micro-games, the background of the top screen will
feature the pictures snapped while playing the game. Closing the system erases
these photos.
Because WarioWare: Snapped! is a downloadble game, there is no printed
instruction manual. Instead, all the basics are included with the game itself.
You can find information on setting up the game, controls, as well as the usual
health and safety precautions within the HELP menu located in the bottom left
corner of the main menu.

After selecting one of game modes, a splash screen displaying the desireable
playing conditions will show up tap this to continue to the Photo Booth.
Here the DSi will check to make sure that the enviroment you are in is adequate
for gameplay. Two checks will be performed.
The first check is on the lighting. If the environment isn't bright enough, the
top box on the touch screen will read: Recognition failed. Your play location
is too dark. Please play in a place with more light. A yellow caution triangle
will flash to the right of the message.
If the lighting check passes, the box will read: Your play environment has
adequate lighting. The yellow caution triangle will be replaced by an OK icon
The second check is on your silhouette. An outline of a head and hand will show
up on the top screen. Position yourself so that your head and hand fit within
the outlines. If your head and hands aren't recognized, the bottom box on the
touch screen will read: Recognition failed. Player's skin tone and background
color are too similar. Make sure there is a sharp contrast between the
background color and the player's skin tone.
To make sure your environment is properly set up for this game, follow the
suggestions in Section 02.b. This is a Set Up.

Wario Coaster, Mona Coaster, and Jimmy Coaster are all single player games, but
Kat & Ana Coaster requires two people to play, and therefore has a different
screen for calibration.
For best results, make sure you are in a bright environment, your head and hand
are inside the outlines, and there is a clear difference between your skin tone
and the color in the background. If you are in a dark environment, your head
and hand aren't entirely inside the outlines, or your skin tone is too similar
to the background colors, the game may not function correctly.
If both checks pass, your picture will be snapped and the fun will begin!

----------------------------------------
04.b. The After Show
----------------------------------------
****************************************
After completing and of the four sets of five micro-games, you'll be treated to
a little show featuring snapshots taken of you while playing the game. There
will be five photos in all, each corresponding to one of the micro-games.
If you failed to complete any of the micro-games, instead of a picture, a box
with the message [Failed - Complete the Challenge to see the photo!] will
appear. Simply try again to see the image.
Using the touch screen you can take control of the animations. Touching the
circled numbers takes you to any of the five animation loops, taken in the
order in which the games were played
The rewind button takes you back to the numbered animation preceding the one
you are currently viewing. The pause button pauses the default "play-all"
function and keeps looping whichever animation you are currently viewing. The
fast forward button takes you to the next numbered animation. [Quit] returns
you to the main menu.
Closing the system will erase all of the photos taken while playing the games.

to worry about. The more letters you collect, the higher your score will be.
Having extra carts on your coaster at the end of the ride will give you score
multipliers. This game is a lot longer than the micro-games found in the main
portion of the game. Expect to spend three to ten minutes playing this.

Your goal, in addition to collecting letters, will be to make the trip in under
8'49"68. If you make it in less time, you will get a time bonus in addition to
your letter-snatching score. If you take too long, you can still complete the
coaster run, but you will be deducted points depending on how much over you go.
Score:
Letter Score
+/- Time Score
x Number of carts(1, 2, 3, or 4)
-----
= Total Score
Tips:
1) Take it slow until you get the hang of the game.
2) When letter snake toward you, find where the first letter will hit the
bottom of the screen and stay there while the rest of the letters hit you.
3) When letters twirl toward you, you may have to move toward where the last
letter will hit, working from where the first letter hits. Standing still
may result in some misses.
4) Keep an eye out for the electric aliens toward they end. They appear in
walls that tend to only have one way through. Plan ahead to avoid losing a
cart.
The touch screen displays a standard credits sequence.
