Hopefully I don't have to revise this but I'm pretty sure I will anyway...
Version 1.00 - First written
II. Introduction
This is a spoiler free straight forward guide to what to do next. Most of the
time, simply by talking to people you’ll get your clues to what to do next. I
suppose this guide is really for people who are impatient or really stuck on
item compounding or without simple logic connecting skills. I really do hope
this is helpful and does answer your questions to whatever you may have. Like
I said, this is completely spoiler free and very straight forward. It is
possible you can get an item much later or sooner (than I think?) than this
guide. And it is possible you could skip some conversations (prompts) I had
mentioned on here. But most of these prompts are necessary to push along the
story.
I love Touch Detective and I remember having difficulties with this game
(Shorty being the most important one) and recall a lot of people asking tons
of easy questions about the first game. I figured since I completed this game
already, it’ll be helpful to these people to get their clues soon as possible
or they could lose out playing such a great game from impatience or being
frustrated. But really I highly recommend you really try to talk to people
in this game completely to get a clue about everything you need first. This
guide should be considered a last retort. Even though its spoiler free, it
can ruin the fun of discovering the true gameplay of being a Touch Detective
in this game.
And importantly why do I even bother doing this? Apparently when the message
says Delete save data? does actually mean EVERY save data you HAVE will be
deleted. Not just one or two that you can select. :\ So yeah, I’m going
through this because I didn’t get the chance to do the bonus episodes before
that happened. Thankfully, it’s a short game if you know what to do.
III. Walkthrough
Tutorial Detective Course Z
Clicking on the bed covers yields a Pea.
Top of the dresser yields a Atomizer (it looks like a perfume) without a bulb.
Bottom right drawer of that same dresser yields a Dropper.
Click on the Dropper’s bulb to detach it from the dropper itself.
Double click on the Atomizer and click on the bulb. Then click on the tube
end of the Atomizer.
Click on Atomizer then click on Funghi (he’s that brown mushroom looking thing
sitting on upper left of the room). Click on him then the pea on your item
menu and him again.
The butler will inform you about the Touch List. This is optional side quest
and really for the hardcore collectors. You’ve been warned. I won’t include
these since it can really ruin the fun in collecting. But at least most of
these you get for this list were part of the mandatory items involved in next
several cases anyway.
Episode 1 Robbery Part 1
Before I go through this, I’ll make this as a general rule that you talk to
everyone as possible about everything. And you click on items as you click to
people for trade or a prompt of it.
But usually just go with the suspect or the victim first thing when going into
case. Penelope’s in her room at the Condominium.
Click on the blue item on her dresser. Click on the mask as well. Talk to her
again to open up a new area. Talk to Beatrice the landlord as well. Go to
the end of this hallway to inspect the garbage and you’ll find a Whisk.
Go to the Shopping Center, talk to everyone there.
If you talk to the fortune teller for your fortune, One for beauty, one for
power, and one for treasure, you got a hint in acquiring noodles.
Now go to the Forest. Click on the entrances to talk. Choco Bananas in
particular, just click on the OPENING of the stand (over the counter) to get
Shorty to comment. Shorty is a character you cannot see. Hence the importance
of this mention, you could easily miss this (like I did in the previous game).
Polyphenol is the right answer. Retrieve the Banana Peel on the counter for
your reward. Again, talk to everyone in couple of screens. The garden yields
a bunch of flowers for her to suddenly to craft a Tiara out of.
Go back to the Darts entrance and trade for noodles. Talk to the yellow dude
again to bring up the prompt about a drill.
Go back to Office to pick up a Condiment Dispenser. Go to Shopping Centre to
talk to Chloe. Talk to the Pastry Chef to trade your Whisk for the Egg Beater.
Obviously go back to the Goldfish dude to trade the Egg Beater for noodles AND
a Large Sieve. Go to the pond (bottom part of the screen where the garden is)
and click on the glittering spot for a Lamp. Double click on it and click on
Peel to clean the strap.
Obviously then go back to Old Time shop to trade it. Click on the blue item
on top of cans on the bottom shelf of the back wall of his shop
to prompt the trade. Now go talk to Chloe. ;) Heh.
Now back to the Forest and talk to Mayor Tom (the turkey) showing your noodle
contribution for a Mask and an Accessory. Go through the Stands again to
prompt the Masquerade to begin. Talk to Mayor Tom with the Mask Hilarity
ensues. then talk to him again with the book after viewing it enough (til you
see the ripped page).
Part 2
Go back to the Forest and talk to that Artsy lady. Praise her then pepper her.
Obviously click your condiment on her for a pepper grind prompt. Design
drawing is your reward, take it to Mayor Tom. Talk to the Artsy lady again
and Tom twice afterwards.
I went to talk to Chloe at the Shopping Centre several times then went back to
the same screen with the noodle chute. Clicking on the boiling pot prompt an
conversation between the two scheming fakes. Click on Accessory and click on
the pot to create a bigger fire.
Pick up the Heart Shaped Fossil, obviously go to the garden screen again.
Insert it into the hole and talk to the Big Tree. Pick up the Red Flower.
Click on it again for Red Seeds. Double click on the Condiment Dispenser,
click on the red seeds and click on the pepper side and the button to grind
them.
Head back to the first screen of the Forest and talk to Tom for a Inspector
Daria introduction. :D She’s my new favorite character. Talk to her and
follow her up a screen. After that, talk to Tom again and Daria once more to
get this plot rolling. Talk to Daria for your amusement. ;) Then dump the
red powder in the pot! :D Obviously head back down to the Garden screen to
witness Tom’s scheme Head back up for a great Chloe moment. Yeah back to
Tom again.
Thanks to Chloe, the scheme failed and you can find him at the base of the pond
breathing through a snorkel. ;) Click using the Large Sieve on it to expose
him.
End of Episode 1
Episode 2 Deception
Jack the Devil is hilarious. He’d make an efficient conductor! Obviously
show him your ticket to escape from his wrath. By the way, that’s not scissors
he had in his hand, it’s a hole puncher. To punch holes in a validated ticket.
Head left to talk to Sam out front and click on the door to hear him speaking
to Friday. Talked to the Artsy lady, made her ugly self go back in the room.
Ultimately head to C2 room for the bulk of this case by talking to the two
guys. Inspected the two briefcases and an attempt to leave the room prompted
a Daria introduction. :D Pick up the Scrap Paper. Show this to Daria in her
room, C6.
Next just talk to everyone in their rooms. C5 is an old lady with a large
suitcase. Clicking on it prompt a Cookie item. Show the (double click on
folded bag) Cookie to Penelope for a clue.
C1’s Artsy lady had an item collecting event for you to do in the Dining car.
Before anything, Shorty’s back in the counter there and talk to him for your
amusement.
To the left of the counter, there is a tray with a coffee mug and as you using
this, click on the pot to fill it and a milk jug to fill it as well. A sugar
cube (metal box on the tray) can be added on the Coffee item from the item
screen. Head back to C1 and let her have it.
Talk to Daria. Head to C1 and discover she want something sweet, give her the
darn cookie. :\ Head to the Dining car. Talk and click on the cheese to
retrieve it. (It looks like a cake/pie.) Also head back to your room, C4 to
pick up the present. Feed THAT to the Artsy lady. Head past C5 for a Friday
introduction. Obviously try using that C4 panel over the C5 panel to get in
even though that failed, the Conductor shamelessly broke the lock. Get in C5,
inspect the suitcase for variety of events.
Part 2
Collect the ticket and the briefcase inside of the suitcase. On the item
screen of the briefcase, inspect the tag. On the tag screen, inspect the
number. On the number screen, click on the scrap to it! Give Friday the
cheese you got. Talk to Daria.
Go back to the Dining car and talk to Shorty, and collect the silverware from
the table the old lady sat at. Back to Daria, show her your items. Head back
to C2 and show the guard the tag after showing him the briefcase. Show the
red haired dude the items then click on the red suitcase for a prompt of
events.
On the SECOND tag screen, click on the number. Show the red hair dude this.
Pick up the trading card... talk to everyone after that point, specifically
Friday in C5. Inspect C1 and take note of the window being open. Talk to
Daria. After inspecting the door far right of the train with the lock (the
door itself, and the lock and the door again), talk to the Conductor. ;)
After inspecting the lock again, head back to your room and talk to your butler
to learn how to pick the lock with your silverware. ;) Do so.
After finally getting in, talk to him and then click on the Brake lever!
End of Episode 2
Episode 3 Deliverance
Yeah. Talk talk and talk. After finally getting inside, pick up the Picture
Frame in front of the Jaws. After inspecting EVERYTHING in the museum talk to
Tom. Sigh. Such hard work he says is such a waste. His statue deserved to
be trashed. After all that talk, head back to your butler and talk to him.
Head to the Forest, collect the Balloon and the Stick along the way. Chloe is
in the junkyard (noodle chute screen) and the Donut Maker is right next to her.
After talking to her, head to the Condominium and talk to Penelope to get her
Blanket. The Blanket is for the stupid turkey to calm him down.
After you collect the Marshmallow from the Pastry shop, head to the garden
screen in the Forest. After talking to the hairy beast, talk to him again to
prove your cooking skill with the Stick and the Marshmallow if you don’t KNOW
what I’m talking about, I feel sorry for you. Double click on the stick, click
on the marshmallow and click on the tip of the stick to attach it. While the
item is equipped, click on the fire to cook. Wait a moment, then click the
fire again to pull it away. You pass the test by giving it to him.
Head back to the Museum and cross the bridge to a new screen. Click on the
statue. You’ll realize you need your friends to help you. Get them at their
respective recent spots and head to the Boutique which recently opened in the
Shopping Centre and collect the blue wooden plank.
Head back to the screen with the fossil statue with your friends. Try pushing
it. No go, then click on blue plank and click on the statue to lay the plank
near it. Click on the statue again, to prompt a hilarious strategy. Go back
inside the Museum.
Part 2
Pick up the Jar of Honey on your dining table. I like Cornstalker’s emblem
sticker detail on that envelope. Its cute. Go back to the Museum and show
the furry beast the warning letter. In comes Daria. Go inside and talk
the two. Click on the statue and then the orb to get the connection. Click
on it again and choose the prompt, Lets play a game, for such hilarious
amusement, unfortunately Daria kicks you out.
Talk to the guard and your friends will arrive after waiting for you for so
damn long. ;) Penelope leaves because her nails went soft, go to her place
and collect the Nail Hardener. I talked to Beatrice and then head over to
Shopping Centre, I’ll be bumped into the Milkman then I went inside the Pastry
shop and talked to the two in there I figured its (talking) enough to head back
to the Museum.
Talk to the trio to scare them up and down about the Curse. And then finally
click on the Balloon and INHALE! ;) Head inside and click on the orb to get
it rolling. Double click on Frame (this is just downright silly) to hide.
After trying to get to the orb, tell the furry fake that his amazing discovery
was actually the fossilized hunter. ;) Now go to your item screen of honey,
click on Hardener on it. Double click on Donut Maker, click hardened Honey on
it. Now you got your fake orb, click on the real thing with the fake one
equipped to get a hilarious double take. Of course if you select the left one,
he’ll give you a hilarious story to prove that he’s innocent. ;)
Now finally, click on the Fossilized Hunter to insert the orb.
End Episode 3
Episode 4 Recollection
Chloe was under there the WHOLE time? xD Anyway, follow Penelope. Talk,
touch, talk again, in comes Chloe, talk to her too. Etc, leave, go inside the
Mansion. Click on the blue girl hiding behind the bookshelf for her
introduction. Talk to her, then click on the clocks on a table south of her.
She’ll let you take one, take the one far right (not the donut! The one next
to it). And lastly, inspect the armor on the right to retrieve the Gauntlet.
Head to the Forest, pick up the bear Thermometer next to the Mayor. In the
garden screen, you click on the tree to shake it for a leaf. The Museum’s
turkey poster at the entrance has the Thumbtack, collect it. Head over to
Pastry Shop to get a chocolate.
Talk to your Butler to construct an alarm clock using the clock you have and
the bear. Head out for a minute and come back in to collect a roaring bear
clock. Go back to the Mansion and go inside the HOUSE. Use the Thumbtack
to keep the poster on the left side of the wall from being blown from the cold
draft behind it. Talk to the girl for a Ghost Tour and when you’re done, tell
her you weren’t impressed. Collect the Windup Key.
Head to the Shopping Centre’s Old Time and talk to Connor about the Windup Key.
Finally head back to the corpse. Set the alarm clock next to him. After
hilarious conversations with Chloe and Penelope, pick up the Gummy Candy.
Inspect it first, then expose it to Chloe. Finally touch him and touch him
again to prompt the Windup Key to be used.
Now use the chocolate on the cat. ;) Fetch the Key and head back to Silver.
Part 2
Leave and talk to Chloe. Then head over to Old Time to collect the Glass
Candy. Head to the Forest’s garden screen, double click on Candy and click on
leaf to wrap it up. Put it over the fire, use the Gauntlet on the fire to get
it back.
Head over to Office to talk to your Butler. Head back to the Greenhouse of the
Mansion, inspect the window next to the INSIDE entrance of the Greenhouse.
Silver will then explain about what happened. Head back to your Butler. Then
the Forest to talk to that dumb turkey. Head back to Silver.
Yeah, BACK to your Butler again. He’ll then mention about ghosts finally.
As you leave he’ll give you your warning letter. That’ll include Daria
obviously at the Mansion.
Equipped with the Ghost Detector, click on the following inside the Mansion,
the two lamp posts, the duo of items on the table, and lastly the clock on the
far right to get a prompt about the ghosts from Colleen. Show her the Ghost
Detector.
After a long conversation with Colleen, head back to Silver, not til you proven
yourself to silly Daria. ;) Only the real Mackenzie can have Funghi with her.
After talking to Silver, talk to Penelope. After that, head outside and talk
to Colleen. After an event, talk to him and inspect the window.
End Episode 4
Episode 5 Invasion
Collect the Raffle Ticket, talk to the duo. Head over to the Shopping Centre,
talk to Friday. Collect RT#2 from the fountain. Go inside the Boutique and
hoist the RT#2 in front of the iron to dry it. Go to the Pastry shop, talk to
her and get the bananas. To the Forest, give Shorty the bananas for a RT and
a treat! Now go to Beatrice, feed her the treat and she’ll tell you where it
is now. Yep, back to the Forest’s junkyard, pick up what looks like a
crumpled paper for another RT. Now head over to the Museum to talk to Mayor
Tom for a ticket to the Art exhibition.
Head back to the Office to see your friends there. Talk to them, show the
vouchers to Chloe to get a prompt from the Butler. Show him the ticket you
got from the Mayor. Finally the Dept. Store area is open. Head inside and
get Chloe to go with you. Cromwell will leave, go to the stairwell and find
him in such a weird... mood. Give the ticket (given to you by Tom) to the duo
guarding the exhibition, obviously it was a mean trick. Talk to your friends
and they will leave (give the Raffle Tickets to Chloe). Go to the stairwell
for such an amusing sight. If you try to leave via elevator, Daria will come
your way and demand proof once more that you are who you are. Obviously for
Daria, that's not enough, use your ID card on her. Talk to her once more. As
you leave via elevator, you'll get bumped again by the Milkman. Obviously,
check the wire plug nearby. Head back to Daria. Do what she says, talk to
EVERYONE. Talking to Chloe will give you a "Back Scratcher". After talking to
everyone, go tell Daria and select the Salesman as the suspicious character.
Yeah, real smooth. After Daria's done talking to him, use back scratcher on
him. After that, head to the stairwell and an attempt to get into the Pink
Elephant ride will push the story along.
Part 2
Head to the right (don't worry you'll get those items in a minute), check the
doors for your friends to let you know "they're alright". ;) Head to the
opposite direction for Cromwell. Now head back to the Pink Elephant, collect
the Watch and the Bag. Double click on the Bag for its bountiful contents.
Back to Cromwell's door, use Tea on the red button on the left of the door.
You can enter now, and collect the Handlebars, and the Cube from clicking on
the cracked disk on the right side of the room. An attempt to free your
friends the same way will rush you right out. Use the Glass to hear through
the door. Head all the way to the right/left to overhear the aliens about
their plot. Use Tea on the red button to escape. Head back to Cromwell and
I can swear Penelope WAS buying these items for a BOMB. ;) Battery, Beads,
Bug Repellant, and finally the Watch. Show Cromwell the Time Bomb for his
prompt on where to put it. There goes the fourth wall! ;) From here, head
the far left/right hallway to discover the treasure which is behind a barrier.
Don't forget to use Tea on these red buttons to allow doors to be opened.
Talk to Cromwell again in the Pink Elephant screen. Give him the Cube and the
Handlebars. Finally, help your friends out and the Cornstalker specifically.
Follow the Cornstalker, talk to him, and click on the door to "mislead" him.
Head inside and place the Time Bomb in the middle. :) Head back INSIDE the
Pink Elephant and talk to Cromwell. The Cornstalker is in the Treasure room,
use the Tea on the red button next to him to activate his side. On the right
side, you have no Tea left but you have Funghi. :)
Back inside the Pink Elephant, give the Artifact to Cromwell. Talk to him
again.
The End! :) Now try the Bonus Episodes! :D
