2. Introduction
_______________________________________________________________________________
Hi. Welcome to my FAQ for To Love-Ru Trouble: Waku Waku! Rinkangakkou-Hen.
To Love-Ru Trouble: Waku Waku! Rinkangakkou-Hen was released on August 28th,
2008 for the Nintendo DS, hitting the market with both normal and limited
edition releases. This game is essentially a 2D visual novel, but it also
features an unique 3D mini-game system.
One can classify this game as a 2D and 3D visual novel.
With this guide I hope to offer a simple and understandable solution for
every To Love-Ru fan and player, who's in need of help with the game.

3. Game System
_______________________________________________________________________________
When starting, Lala will be in the background as your selected character.
As you progress within the game, characters and costumes will become
available, so you can customize your background character.
_________
|Main Menu|:
Here you'll see your selected character on the background.
Press Start and you'll be presented with four options:
- Story Mode:
The main story. Follow each chapter's scenes and you'll eventually reach a
mini-game for that chapter. If you successfully beat it, the following
scene will be slightly different than it would be, in case you failed the
mini-game, and you'll be awarded with a trophy. Winning or losing in the
mini-games won't affect your progression, you will still unlock the next
chapters.
- My-Cos Mode:
Here is where you can change your background character, it's costumes and
it's costumes' color. You can also zoom and rotate your character in this
mode.
- Challenge Mode:
All the mini-games you play in story mode will be unlocked here. Here you'll
have a scoreboard to track you're results and, if you achieve certain goals,
you'll be able to get some unlockables (see Extras & Unlockables section).
Here you're also able to play some mini-games with any character you have
unlocked.
- Mini-games' list:
* Touch;
* Maze Walker;
* Strawberry Milk Crazy;
* Pillow Fight;
* Onsen Bowling;
* Rhythm Lullaby mini-game (no difficulty);
* Rhythm Exercise mini-game (Easy);
* Rhythm Exercise mini-game (Hard);
* Rhythm Lullaby mini-game (Easy);
* Rhythm Lullaby mini-game (Hard).
- Figure Mode:
This mode allows you to view your acquired trophies. After selecting a trophy,
you can change the character it features and it's color.

5. Walkthrough
_______________________________________________________________________________
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 1-A:
You will start the story mode in chapter 1-A, follow the introductory scenes
and you'll reach your first mini-game.
In this mini-game, you'll have to touch Lala with your stylus where the
target appears. Touch the right spot and you'll see "Good" written over,
this will make the bar on the left go down. The goal is to hit the targets
until the bar is empty. Touching the wrong spot will get you a "Bad", but
touching the right spot just when the outer circle matches the inner circle
will give you a "Just". Getting a "Just" will fill a second bar on the
bottom. Get 5 "Just" and you'll enter a frenzy mode. Rub the indicated spot
as fast as you can and you'll see the bar going down much faster.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 2-A:
Again, follow the scenes and get ready for a mini-game.
This time it's Magical Girl Kyoko's mini-game. Just use the D-Pad to move
her and the Y, X, A and B buttons to shoot. Also, keep in mind that in the
middle of the screen there's a safe zone. Standing there will make you
invincible, but you won't be able to shoot. Defeat the enemies and they'll
release coins or power-ups (those purple balls with a flame on them).
If you shoot a coin it'll get bigger and more valuable, so collect as many
as you can and get ready for a boss battle in the end.
You win this mini-game by beating the final boss, regardless of your score.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 3-A:
Follow the scenes and get ready for another mini-game.
This mini-game is pretty straightforward. Lala is exercising, and all you
have to do is touch, with your stylus, those squares at the right time.
Again, you get a "Good" result if you touch the right square, a "Bad" result
if you don't, and a "Just" result if you manage to touch the square when
it's inner square is exactly on the limits.
You win this mini-game by getting at least one pink marker on the left bar.
You achieve this by getting enough score (mostly by getting "Just").
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 4-A:
More story, another mini-game.
This one plays exactly like the exercise mini-game, only this time Lala is
playing a lullaby with the flute.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 5-A:
More story, one more mini-game.
The mini-game in this chapter is the same from chapter 1-A, but it's
slightly harder and features Haruna.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-A:
More story scenes and no mini-games in this chapter.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 7-A:
A bit more to add to the story. Another mini-game.
The mini-game in this chapter is the exercise one, but in it's Hard version
and featuring Run.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 8-A:
The first final chapter. There're no mini-games in this one, just follow the
scenes and you'll be presented with a (fake) ending.
After the credits role, more chapters will unlock.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 2-B:
Basically, after the first ending you'll go back in time, starting right at
2-B.
This chapter features the Magical Girl Kyoko's mini-game again, but as a
harder version.
Again, the final score doesn't matter.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 3-B:
You'll be Haruna in this one. After seeing a bit of the story from her
perspective, get ready for another mini-game.
It's the exercise mini-game (Easy) again, but with Haruna now.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 2-C:
Now you're Lala. Watch some more story scenes, and you'll get another
mini-game.
This one is new. It's Onsen Bowling. Basically, you just have to touch the
screen quickly in the direction you want her to go. The goal is to hit all
the barrels you can, also hitting the Principal will get you x2 score for
that lane. After throwing her in the chosen direction, you can tap the
screen once to make Lala open her arms and legs. This will allow you to hit
a broader area.
To win this mini-game you'll need 42 Oke (to be in first place).
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 3-C:
After some plot twist, you'll be Rito again. Get ready for another
mini-game.
Another new mini-game. This is "Strawberry Milk Crazy". In this one, Lala
will be moving a strawberry across the screen, and you'll have to hit it
with milk. Hitting the strawberry will get you a "Good", missing it will
give you a "Bad" (and that will cost you some time), but hitting the square
outlines around the strawberry will get you a "Just". After 5 "Just"
you'll enter a frenzy mode, where you can shoot much faster and missing the
target won't cost you any time (since Lala won't stop).
To win this mini-game you'll have to fully hit 19 or more strawberries.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 4-C:
Back with Haruna, more story, one more mini-game.
It's the flute mini-game again. Featuring Haruna and in Easy difficulty.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-C:
You're Lala once again.
Another new mini-game. Now you'll be pillow fighting against Saki. Use the
stylus to move and to pick up the pillows. Slowly touching the screen left
or right will move you on that direction, but touching faster will make Lala
jump quickly to the selected direction. Tap and hold where a pillow is and
Lala will pick it up, then just quickly touch the screen forward and Lala
will throw the pillow in the selected direction.
You have normal, small, big and heavy pillows to use. Smaller pillows travel
faster, bigger ones cover more area, and the heavy ones can take away 3 lives
at once.
Also watch out for the Principal. If he catches you, punch him (tap the
screen quickly) until he releases you.
To win this mini-game you'll have to hit Saki 5 times.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 7-C:
Back with Rito, just watch some more scenes. There're no mini-games in this
chapter.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 8-C:
Another (fake) ending. Once more, you will go back to the beginning.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 2-D:
Haruna's turn once again.
The mini-game is Onsen Bowling again, now featuring Haruna.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-D:
This is the only chapter where you'll be Yami. Watch some extra scenes
from her perspective, and here comes another mini-game.
It's Onsen Bowling once more, but, featuring Yami, this is it's harder
variant. Plus, you'll have to beat your previous score to win.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 5-E:
Haruna again. Watch some new scenes.
There're no mini-games in this chapter.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-E:
Back with Rito, the main plot develops a bit and it's getting closer to the
end. Here comes another mini-game.
Maze Walker is next. Just move the character through the maze using the
D-Pad or the stylus. Watch out for some annoying little creatures that may
pop up each time you reach a new area. You'll have to tap and drag those
creatures quickly and if you manage to do it really quickly, you'll get a
+15 seconds bonus, but if you accidentally miss and hit the character,
you'll get a time penalty of -30 seconds.
To win this mini-game you must complete 4 floors under the time limit.
Also, a good tip for this mini-game is to keep in mind that the exit is
always located in the upper-rightmost corner.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 7-E:
The story develops a bit more and there're no mini-games in this chapter.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 8-E:
Another (fake) ending. You'll go back to the last part of the story.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-F:
The story picks up, again, at the cave sequence.
The mini-game is Maze Walker again. There are no differences, but since the
floors are always random generated in this mini-game, each time you play it
will look slightly different.
Follow the same tips and complete the floors to win.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 7-F:
The story develops a lot and you'll finally meet the main villain. Get ready
for the last mini-game.
Yami is trapped by a life leeching tree. The bar on the left represents her
health and your goal is to keep Yami alive. Use the stylus to pick one of
the logs and keep dragging it outwards, but following the log path. Also,
remember to use the D-Pad to move and rotate, plus the X and B to zoom,
because some logs will only be visible in a certain perspective.
Keep doing this until the time runs out, and you'll win if Yami's health bar
is not empty.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 8-F:
The last (fake) ending. You'll go back just once more.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 7-G:
The last main story segment. Watch some more scenes, since there're are no
more mini-games.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 8-G:
The real final ending.
Enjoy the final sequence and wait for the credits to roll.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
-> Chapter 6-B:
After finishing the game, Motemitsu will come in just so you can win 7 extra
trophies.
===============================================================================

_______________________________________________________________________________
Hidden sleeping mini-game:
In the main menu, if you close your DS for a while (about 2 minutes) and
then open it, your background character will be asleep. Use the D-Pad, X
and B to move and zoom.
After a while, Maron (Haruna's dog) will come in to wake your character up,
but you can use the stylus to keep him away.
Note: This mini-game seems to occur only after 9:00PM
(regarding the DS clock).
