Introduction
When Neku awakens, he's in the middle of Shibuya's scramble crossing. What is
he doing there, why is he there? He has no clue, and no memory of what happened
right before. All he knows is his name, and that he now has the power to read
other people's mind, although he now seems to be invisible to others. A
mysterious timer appears on his hand, and he receives a message: "Fail or face
erasure." He then meets Shiki, a girl in the same situation as him. Together,
they must team up to win the "game" by solving riddles. They only have seven
days or they will disappear forever...
Walkthrough
------- Shiki -------
First
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
After Neku's intro scene, you'll find yourself with a mysterious pin in hand.
Touch the pin on the bottom screen and select people on the street to read
their thoughts. Then you'll get a message:
"Reach 104. You have 60 minutes."
Neku doesn't take it seriously but soon you'll be attacked. All you can do for
now is run; you can't attack without pins. Since you can't fight yet, press
Start and escape the battle.
After the credits and the next scene, you'll meet up with Shiki and make a pact
with her. She'll give you a new pin. For the next battle, first touch Neku on
the screen with the stylus and drag himto a safe corner (hold the stylus over
the charater and move it across the screen). Then draw lines where the frog is
to create flames and attack it. Two more frogs will appear. Do the same with
them. You'll have to wait for the pin to refill after each series of
attacks.
After Shiki introduces herself, Neku runs off. You now have total control. Go
right to the Scramble Crossing and click on Shiki for a quick scene. Try
heading north. Watch the scene, then leave through the upper exit to arrive at
104 building.
A battle will ensue. Now you can control Shiki on the top screen with the + pad
and Neku on the bottom screen with the stylus. If you find it too hard for now,
just control Neku and let the Autoplay take care of Shiki. You'll have three
battles to fight so take the time to get used to the battle system. Try to
focus on the character with the green aura. The mission will be completed and a
new day will begin.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------First Day Ends
Second
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
You'll start at the station underpass. A second message will reach you.
"Set the cursed sculpture free. You have 60 minutes."
Try leaving on the left. There's a wall. The guy with the red hoodie is here.
Touch the pin in the corner of your screen, then select the guy in question to
try and read his mind. You can't. Exit the scan screen. The mysterious guy will
come up to you and give you a hint. "The world is more than what you see".
Touch the pin again to activate the scan. You'll see three enemy icons around
the hoodie guy. Touch one to start a fight. Do as previously with the two new
pins assigned. Defeat all three enemy icons and the wall will disappear. Exit
west.
You'll run into another team. Ask them all the available questions to get a
free Cure Drink pin, then move on. You can now use the Phone to equip pins and
see all your items. Do it now for the incoming battles. Touch the Phone, then
select the pins menu and drag the two pins you want to use in the slot above
the pins. Also save your game.
In the bus terminal, go to the top-left of the street to find another guy in
red and activate a scene. Use the scan and you'll notice many enemy icons
floating about. Defeat the two yellow ones to lift the curse on the statue and
make the wall disappear. You can now equip a third pin, so do so. Then head up
to the statue of Hachiko in the next screen.
Here, use the scan. Nothing comes up. Exit the scan and listen to what Shiki
has to say. Approach the statue and touch it to take a look. Select the
available options to examine it closely and retrieve info. When you're done,
return to the bus station as there is nothing you can do for now. Use the scan
on the guy next to the Moyai head statue and read his thoughts about
Hachiko.
Go back to the statue of Hachiko and SAVE your game before doing the following.
Examine the statue and a new option should be available. Choose to polish the
statue and rub the stylus all over it to reveal blue marks over it. A battle
will ensue. The flame pin is pretty good for this fight, as it can be tough. If
you're having trouble, equip the Cure Drink pin before the fight. Also, you can
leave Shiki on Auto if you're still not used to working with both characters at
the same time.
It's not over yet. Right after the cutscene, you'll be attacked by some more
enemies. Defeat the wolves first, then the stunk. Watch the cutscene after the
battle and the mission will be over.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------Second Day Ends
Third
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------
You'll find yourself in a dark place. Walk south to find Shiki. Watch the long
cutscene, then you'll receive the new mission.
"Defeat the monster of A-East. You have 360 minutes."
Exit south. After Shiki is done talking, speak with the rocker on the left.
He's looking for his tech. Ask him all the questions, then accept to help him
(or not, it won't change anything). Head down and talk to the guy in red.
Another cutscene will ensue. Ask all questions, then accept to use the new pin.
Try to use this fight to get better.
When you're done, the wall should be down. Head through it to Dogenzaka. Walk
down the street and enter Ramen Don. Seems like the tech is here. Leave the
store and talk to the tech on the left. Shiki and Neku notice he's surrounded
by Noise. Save your game. Use the scan pin and fight the yellow icon enemy. The
lightning pin works good here. Once you win the battle, return to A-East and
speak with 777.
Now you have to look for the tech again. You'll need to go through the north
exit, but a wall is blocking the way. Talk to the Reaper to learn how to take
it down. Use the scan in that area and fight two enemies of the same icon type
he showed you. After defeating the two, talk to the Reaper again to take down
the wall. Head north to Shibukyu main store.
Speak with Beat and Rhyme here. Ask Rhyme about the memes and imprinting.
You'll receive the "Blackout" meme on your phone. Try it on the man on the
left. Talk to him first, then touch the pin that appears and select Blackout.
Now do the same with the tech right beside. Imprint Blackout into his mind.
Return to A-East and enter the concert stage. Even though you can't see, head
up and use the scan pin. You should spot a guy standing at the top of the
screen. Read his mind to learn about the fuse. "Fuse" will be added to your
phone. Go back to the tech and imprint Fuse into his thoughts. Now return to
Dogenzaka and enter the Cosmic Center store.
Head back to A-East and speak with 777 and the tech. Go inside the still unlit
concert stage, SAVE your game, and talk to the tech in the top-right corner. To
fight the boss, first run around the screen with Neku so you can avoid the
enemy's attacks. As long as there's no light, you can't attack it so start by
focusing on Shiki so she gets rid of the small bats. Eventually the light will
turn on. Now is the time to attack the golden bat with Neku until the light
turns off again. When this happens, run from it again until the lights are on.
Keep attacking until you get it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Third Day Ends
Fourth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
Watch the cutscene, then you'll receive today's mission.
"Reach Towa Records. No time limit."
Something's gotta be up. Talk to Rhyme before heading off. Shiki will ask you
to stop by 104 first. You're already there, so just enter the big building
behind you. Shiki will introduce you to her passion: fashion. Ask her about
trends, then choose to do some shopping. Wearing certain clothes in each
different districts will award you bonus.
When you're done, head down to the Scramble Crossing. You'll learn about the
Pig Noises, which drop more pins than regular enemies. They appear as green
enemy icons. Since you don't have a time limit on this mission, this is a great
opportunity to train and collect some money. There is one Pig right in the
middle of this area. Pigs will try to run so you'll need to be quick.
Next, you'll want to go east, but a wall is blocking the way. Speak with the
Reaper, who'll ask for two 1,000 yen pins. The noise no.2 who drops them is the
blue frog, the smallest of the enemy icons. Scan the area and fight as many as
possible. Occasionally they will drop pins that have a monetary value. To
increase your chances of drops, go in the phone menu and lower (to the left)
the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen.
Once you have them, give them to the Reaper to take down the wall. You can now
equip a fourth pin. Go right to Shibu Dept Store. Walk right and a cutscene
will take place where Shiki replaces Neku's short button. Next, you'll need to
go east again. The Reaper will ask for five 500 yen pins. Those are dropped by
the Mosh Grizzly (the largest enemy icon). Go back to Scramble Crossing and
fight them until you get five of those pins.
Bring the pins to the Reaper and go past the wall to Cadoi City. Talk to Beat
and Rhyme on the right for the next scene. Now before moving on, make sure
you're done with everything you'd want to do like fighting enemies, collecting
money, and shopping. To buy items, you'll need to cash those pins that are
worth yens. To do so, go in the pins menu and select "mastered" in the bottom
right corner. Drag the pins to the garbage can to trade them for money.
When you're ready to move on, SAVE your game and enter Towa Records building.
Watch the cutscene, then take down the frogs. Next is the boss battle. Take out
the frogs first, then start attacking the shark. When you see him disappear,
run away to a safe corner; he's about to attack. Keep attacking him until he's
defeated.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------Fourth Day Ends
Fifth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------
You'll wake up at Tipsy Tose Hall. The new mission will soon arrive.
"Free Spain Hill from the Noise. You have 200 minutes."
First, talk to the man in the suit on the left. Move the coin with the stylus
little by little while holding it the whole time and move it very slowly over
the white symbol. After this is done, you'll receive the "Reaper Creeper" meme
on your phone.
Now head right. The condition to get past the wall is to defeat two of the
largest enemy icons in the area. Scan and do so. Continue right to AMX. Go over
to the right of the building and use the scan pin. You'll see a fast moving
yellow enemy icon. Defeat this one to trigger a scene where you'll receive the
Tin Pin Ticket" meme.
Now before proceeding, enter AMX and purchase the Track 1 CD. Return to Tipsy
Tose Hall and head north to Spain Hill. Go all the way right and talk to the
black hoodie guy. Give him the CD you just bought to be allowed through the
wall. Head up to Molco and talk to the two players to learn about Tin Pin
Slammer.
Return to Spain Hill and enter Mexican Hot Dog to see a scene with two girls.
Back outside, defeat some Noise on the street (about four). Seeing as how this
is not working, Shiki will spot the two girls from the restaurant. After the
scene, use the scan around the girls and defeat the two big yellow enemy icons,
as well as the small one. This won't do anything but will trigger a scene. Talk
to the girls and imprint "Reaper Creeper" in the left girl's mind.
Now you'll have to play that little games again, and three times. Simply move
the coin carefully to the white symbol all three times without going too fast,
just like previously. The girls' argument will end. Save your game, then use
the scan pin again and fight the last Noise surrounding them. After the next
cutscene, you'll face the boss. This one is like a regular enemy but stronger.
Watch the cutscene after your defeat it and a new day will start.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Fifth Day Ends
Sixth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
You'll wake up with a new pin in hands and receive the new mission:
"Dominate the scramble crossing view at 3:00. You have 180 minutes."
Start by talking to the man wearing a suit in the middle of the crowd. Then
scan his thoughts. Once this is done, scan him again and defeat the yellow
Noise circling him. You'll get three new memes; "Unreal, bro!", "Come get some
hot stuff", and "Totally gnarly". Talk to the man again and help him out by
imprinting "Totally gnarly" into his mind.
He'll then move out to a new area. To access it, talk to the Reaper at the top.
He'll ask you three questions which you must answer correctly in order to
pass.
Which of these is a shop in the 104 Building? Edoga the Shop.
What's on the sign outside Shibu Dept. Store? High Heels.
Which of these does the Bigbanfrog use as an attack? Bubbles.
Now you can enter the Center St. Entrance. Talk to the man in the suit here.
Imprint "Unreal, bro!" into his mind to help him out. You'll then need to go
north. Talk to the Reaper, who asks for three Rare Metal pins. They're dropped
by those blue bird enemies (smallest enemy icon). Scan the Center St. Entrance
to find a bunch of them.
Don't forget to set the difficulty to Normal and lower the yellow level bar to
increase the drop rate (lower it to 2 or 3). They only drop the Rare Metal pins
on Normal, and you only have a 24% chance of them dropping the pins. Don't
desperate if you don't get the pins right away, just keep on defeating them and
eventually you'll get the three pins. Once you have them, bring them to the
Reaper and head north to AMX. Go left to Tipsy Tose Hall and up to Spain
Hill.
(Before doing the following, you may want to go east to Cadoi City and talk to
the Reaper blocking the way to Towa Records. You must defeat the Pig Noise at
the top of the street on his left. This can be hard as you have to bring all
three Pigs together, then attack them all together so none of them runs off the
screen. If you suceed, you can go to Towa Records and buy more CD tracks and
the Sushi pin.)
Go all the way right in Spain Hill to find the man with 777's tech. Imprint
"Come get some hot stuff" onto his mind. You'll need to do it a second time;
imprint the same meme. Now head back to the Scramble Crossing. Find Shiki in
the crowd of people and talk to her. She'll run off again. Head left to find
her and talk to her again. After the scene, talk to Mick on the right.
You'll need to wear the new pin on you and fight some battles with it. Go in
the pins menu and select the Red Skull pin from the mastered pins list. Put it
on, then scan the area and battle some enemies (about 3 fights). A scene will
ensue. Head up to 104 Building for another cutscene. Fight 3 battles with the
Red Skull here too. After Shiki runs off, return to the Scramble Crossing. Find
her in the crowd and talk to her. This will end Day 6.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Sixth Day Ends
Seventh
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
The last day, and the last mission.
"The Game Master awaits you on the freeway. Defeat him. You have 600
minutes."
You'll receive a phone call. Beat is in trouble. Time to head for the freeway.
This starts out quite confusing as there are several ways you can take and
several Reapers blocking walls, who each want something different. Start with
the northern Reaper, who wants Funky Shades. You can purchase them at the store
left of Hachiko Statue. Also buy the Happy Beam pin while you're there. Show
the Funky Shades to the Reaper at the scramble crossing to gain access to 104.
Also answer the Reaper's questions on the right.
What's the lovely saleslady's name? Yuu Narumi.
Which of these commands activates Happy Beam? Slash Neku.
Which brand makes the slogan bandannas? Hip Snake.
This gives you access to all stores around Shibuya. This is your last time
shopping for now so make sure you're well quipped for the big boss battle.
Nevermind the eastern Reaper; he would just unlock a wall that gives access to
all the streets you already have access to from the other Reaper. However, the
freeway is not anywhere around. Go back to Hachiko Statue and talk to the
Reaper here. He wants you to fight through a three-reduction chain battle.
To do this, first use the scan pin. Instead of selecting just one enemy icon on
the screen, touch one icon and drag the stylus around to select two more enemy
icons to bring them all together. You'll need to fight three battles in a row.
This is chain battle. Speak with the Reaper once you have won the 3-chain
battle and head up to the bus terminal.
Save your game, then try heading south or talk to the Reaper to bring up a boss
battle. I'd suggest fighting this on Easy at max level if you're having
trouble. The bird is pretty hard to hit as it flies fast and doesn't come down
often. Don't bother on the smaller birds; they will keep on coming back. Also
watch out for the objects they drop. After winning the battle, go southeast to
the station underpass. After the scene, head right to find the Game Master.
Defeating him isn't too hard; avoid his fists by running around and attack him
at any occasion you have.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------Seventh Day Ends
----- Joshua -----
First
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------
Neku will re-appear on the first day of a new week, with a new mission, a bit
different this time:
"Game I: x = 30 + 74. t = 60 min."
Start by heading over to the Statue of Hachiko. After the scene, you'll be
attacked by Noise. Fight the enemies off with your new mysterious partner.
Joshua will introduce himself and propose you give a scan to the area. Use the
scan pin and read Joshua's thoughts. Exit the scan and you'll see images from
his mind. Joshua will help you out with the mission; 30+74 = 104.
Head back to the scramble crossing and talk to the Reaper at the top. To take
down the wall to 104 Building you'll need to fight off the Noise in the area.
Joshua fights a bit differently than Shiki, so accept to practive and learn the
new basics. Fight once or twice, either way the wall will be taken down right
after so you can head up to 104. You'll meet with the new game master and then
an easy boss battle will ensue.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------First Day Ends
Second
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
After noticing Joshua on the phone, take out the scan pin and scan his
thoughts. Exit the scan screen and you'll see those images again.
Interesting... now time for the new mission:
"Game II: Acquire the 3 Au pin. t = 300 min."
After the long and informative cutscene, Neku and Joshua will try to decipher
the riddle. Apparently you have to look for a gold pin somewhere on Route 3,
which is between Cadoi City and Molco. You can't go north yet, so go east to
Shibu Dept. Store. Your mission to get past the wall here is to get rid of all
the Noise possessing the people on this street. There are two yellow enemy
icons to defeat. After you defeat the right one, the kid will mention the Hero
Pin, which seems to be the pin you're aiming for. Go right to Cadoi City.
Almost there. Head up to Molco. You'll be attacked by Black Noise. Those are
pretty tough and you'll need to run around a lot when you see them jumping.
They're easy to avoid as you see their shadow on the ground though. You can now
go to Molco for the Tin Pin Slammer challenge. However, there are a few
optional things left before heading there. Go back to the scramble crossing and
head up to Center St. Entrance.
The Reaper that was there before is gone, and so is the wall with him. Head all
the way to Spain Hill from there and enter Mexican Dog. After the litle scene
there, re-enter the restaurant and buy both the Special Dog and the Hot Dog.
This will make a new quest item appear when you re-enter Mexican Dog the next
time. Get the Definitivo Chili Dog by trading in 3 Rare Metals, 1 Choice Meat
and 1 Chili Crimson. You should already have them on you from before (hope you
didn't use them). Bring the Definitivo Chili Dog to the black Reaper on the
left in Molco. This will award you money and a rare item.
If you have some left-over clothes of the Natural Puppy brand, dress Joshua
entirely with them and talk to the Reaper north of the scramble crossing. This
will give you acess to 104 building, but it's not really necessary. Otherwise,
head back to Molco and enter the Tin Pin Slammer competition. Inside, a kid
will show you how to play the game. Simply drag the stylus in the direction you
want to slam and try to knock the other player's pin out of the ring. After the
practice, you'll face the first opponent. He's not all that hard, just try to
stay on the ring and he usually just falls off by himself... Simply move out of
the way when he launches the attack while standing close to the edge and he
will just fall down.
You won't be able to face the second opponent, but will win the mission anyway.
Now head over in direction of the scramble crossing. You'll be stopped by the
game master. Time for a new day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------Second Day Ends
Third
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
Almost there.
"Proceed to Cat Street. You have 15 minutes."
Sounds easy? Cat Street is quite far, though. Hurry east to Shiby Dept Store up
to Cadoi City. A wall will be blocking the way to the northeast. The Reaper
wants you to defeat three enemies of a certain type in order to proceed. Scan
the area and do as he requests. When you're done, head up to Towa Records and
from there to the park underpass. The Reaper here wants the Pop Pendulum pin,
which is dropped by the green/yellow crab enemy in this area.
Just like for the Rare Metals, you have to be patient with that one. Set the
difficulty to Normal and lower your level to increase the drop rate. Keep
fighting Noise no. 56 and eventually it will drop a Pop Pendulum. Show it to
the Reaper to gain access to Miyashita Park. Continue to Cat Street. Neku will
realize Joshua tricked him to get here as it wasn't really the mission. Oh
well, head into the WildKat cafe anyways. You'll find none other than Mr.
Hanekoma! After Joshua steps aside, ask Mr. H. the available questions. You'll
learn a bit more about Joshua.
Now return to Towa Records and try to leave south. Beat will stop you and
engage a fight. You can't defeat him no matter what, so just accept defeat. Now
you can take your time, explore, shop, battle, play Tin Pin Slammer... all the
streets are open pretty much. There are also a couple of characters you can
talk to for short cutscenes. You can talk to the Reapers at Molco, and also
examine the junk pile at Spain Hill. Two more Reapers in front of the Tin Pin
Slammer at Tipsy Tose Hall, and two school girls on Center St Entrance. Also,
win the Tin Pin Slammer against the kid to receive the Tin Pin Custom.
Now head over to the scramble crossing to receive the first signal. On the
left, there's a Reaper who will ask you questions to let you pass. You don't
need to go that way, but it will give you free items, so give it a try.
Which of these is on sale at WildKat? Bouillabaisse.
Where is the phone booth of love? Near Molco.
Which of these is a German composer famous for [...]? Bach.
The Reaper north of the Scramble Crossing wants you to turn the area into the
Natural Puppy brand. To do so, equip all things of this brand (pins included).
You can buy the clothes at Cadoi City. Dress Neku and Joshua with that brand
and equip pins of it. Fight a couple of battles in the scramble crossing with
all that on and it should turn to Natural Puppy when you look at your phone
menu. Talk to the Reaper once it's done to gain access to 104 Building.
Enter Dogenzaka from 104 to trigger a scene. Before going to Shadow Ramen, head
over to A-East and talk to the Reaper there. He wants you to bring a Supply
Factor Pin. To get this, go back to the scramble crossing and set the
difficulty to Easy. Lower your level to increase the drop rate. Fight some of
the enemies there. You should see one that is a blue jellyfish. Defeat all the
enemies first except that one. Wait for it to multiply into one or more red
jellyfish. Defeat those. They drop the Supply Factor pin. Once you have it
bring it to the Reaper for items.
When you're ready, try to enter Shadow Ramen. Joshua will point out the man in
front of Ramen Don. Go right and scan the man. Noise is surrounding him. Fight
it off, then enter Ramen Don to talk with the owner. After this, head back
inside Shadow Ramen for another scene. Re-enter Shadow Ramen after that one
scene. After talking with the school girl, you'll receive a new meme "Dessert".
Go back to Ramen Don and talk to the owner outside. Imprint "Dessert" into his
mind. Enter Ramen Don after that to talk with the owner again.
Now go to A-East west of there. Talk to Mick and the Prince. Listen to their
conversation, then scan the Prince and fight the Noise circling him. You'll
then get a new meme "Simple." Return to Ramen Don and imprint "Simple" into the
owner's mind after the cutscene. Then enter Ramen Don. A cutscene will ensue
and end the current day without any mission.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Third Day Ends
Fourth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------
No mission today either.
After the cutscene, you're set free. First, let's clear the area of Reapers. Go
to the statue of Hachiko and defeat ten Noises in the area to clear the wall
and get items. Then head over to Center St. Entrance. The Reaper here wants the
Sexy + pin. This one is really easy to get. Fight Noise no. 59 (the red bird)
on this street with your difficulty on Easy and your level as low as possible.
It should drop it pretty fast. Next, go to AMX. The Reaper here wants you to
fight through a four chain battle. Scan the area here and drag an enemy into
three others to create a four enemies chain. Now you can head to Tipsy Tose
Hall, where Joshua will notice Reapers.
Examine the junk pile on the left, then speak with 777 and accept to help him.
The Reapers will force you to help him out. Talk to him again to learn what to
do. You'll receive a lot of money for that. Nice! Now we're looking for 777's
winged microphone. First, talk to 777 a third time and ask him all the
questions available. If you want, you can play Tin in at the Sride again and
win the Tin Pin Wheel. Now head over to Spain Hill and talk to the Reaper in
red on the right. Ask him what you can, then head to Molco to meet up with two
other players who'll give you a new pin. Next, go check out the phone booth.
Once you're done, head back to the Scramble Crossing. Talk with the Reaper in
black and ask him some questions. Then head up for a short scene about CAT and
the Red Skull pin. Now return to Tipsy Tose Hall and talk to 777. Show him the
third picture first, then the second one. When Joshua asks you who is the
culprit, answer "none of the above". This little side quest is now over and the
wall above is down. Proceed to Shibu-Q Heads. You'll face Beat again. Just as
previously, you can't defeat him, so just stay alive until Beat stops the
fight.
Head left to Udagawa Back Streets and watch the scene. Go upstairs to see
another scene. Make sure you're done with everything you wanted to do before
moving on. Talk to Joshua next to the mural, then scan him and the day will end
after the next cutscene.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------Fourth Day Ends
Fifth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------
Still no mission for today.
Joshua wants to go pay a visit to Mr. H, so try heading east. Reapers will set
up a wall. The condition to clear it is to make the D+B brand the new hot trend
in this area. Either wear D+B clothes (can be bougt in 104 Building) or use D+B
pins. Fights a couple of battles to turn the place into D+B, then talk to the
Reaper to clear the wall. In the next area, the Reaper wants you to bring him
Ramen. Go to 104, then to Dogenzaka and buy the cheapest Ramen from Ramen Don.
Bring it back to the Reaper to gain access to Cadoi City.
Here, talk to the Reaper on the far right for a little questionary.
Who owns Ramen Don? Ken Doi.
Which of these only show up once you're friends with the owner?
Insta-noodles.
How much for a bowl of shio ramen? 580 Yen.
Head up to Towa Records. Buy any new tracks you want from the shop, then talk
to the Reaper blocking the way to the next area. He wants you to dress up
entirely in the Mus Rattus brand, from head to toes. You can buy this brand at
Cadoi City. Dress up Neku with all the necessary clothes, then report to the
Reaper to clear the wall. In the next area, the Reaper wants you to play Tin
Pin against him. You don't absolutely need to win to clear the wall, but try to
anyways. Save your game before moving on.
The next Reaper will want you to win a battle with the pins he chose. Those
pins are pretty much useless alone, so you won't be able to fight with Neku.
Just run around with him to avoid the enemies while focusing on Joshua. This
can be a pretty tough battle as the enemies don't give you much chance of
attacking, but be quick to press the arrows and match the numbers. Every time
you can use the special move, do so. Keep attacking and if you're luck you
might get it after a few re-tries. Also fight it on easy to soft things up.
Proceed to Cat Street and enter the cafe. After Mr. H is done fixing the
phones, SAVE and equip healing pins. Head back west to fall face to face with
Beat, again. Once again, all you need to do is survive for a while and manage
to give him a couple of hits, so don't worry if you can't beat him. This time
the fight is a little harder though. Try to run out of his way until you can
use Fusion, then hit him a few times to lower his health by a bunch. Use your
healing pins, also. He should stop the fight after that. Now head back to Towa
Records for a cutscene. Continue to the Scramble Crossing to pick up a signal.
Now get over to the statue of Hachiko and proceed to the Station Underpass, to
the right of the west bus terminal. Head to the right side and you'll notice
you can't pass. Go back left and a boss battle will be triggered. You can't
defeat that one either, so just stay alive for a while. Never stand in front of
the boss, always go to his back and only attack from there. Keep running around
like this until the battle ends. This will conclude the day.

-------------Fifth Day Ends
Sixth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------
Finally, a mission.
"Game VI: Beat the bosses of 2.2360679's 0 = 5. t = 60 min."
The only place you have acess to right now is Center St. Entrance, so head over
there. You'll get attacked by Taboo Noises. Defeat them, then proceed to AMX.
Help the Reaper out, or not, you can't save him anyway, but this will fetch you
free items. Defeat the Taboo Noises, then head to Tipsy Tose Hall. Help out the
other player by defeating the Noises to get more items, then go west to Shibu-Q
Heads. Still more Reapers in need. Defeat the Noise to help them and get free
money. Now save and go left to Udagawa Back Streets. You'll face two powerful
Noises. Defeat them to end the day, already.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Sixth Day Ends
Seventh
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
Last mission of the week.
"Game 7: Erase the Game Master at Pork City. time = 60 minutes."
Head north to 104 Building and you'll receive a P.S. "Have cow and mouse on
hand." Hm. Go west to Dogenzaka, and continue left to get to Pork City. Talk to
the Reapers here. Speak with the red hoodie one again to learn the condition to
pass. You must defeat all the Noises here. However, if you check your menu,
you'll see that only pins of the Mus Rattus brand work in this area. Use the
Shock Warning pin if you have it, and three others. Just make sure all your
equipped pins are of the Mus Rattus kind. Defeat the three Noises, then head up
to the second floor. Same deal here. This time however, you'll need to use pins
of the D+B brand (pins with no brand work too). Defeat the three enemies here,
then save your game. Re-arrange your pins so you have your best ones equipped
and also equip the Cure Drink pin. The fight ahead is pretty tough so you might
want to set the difficulty to Easy. Head up to the third floor.
The next battle is probably the hardest so far, but only because it's so long.
First some Taboo Noises will be sent at you. Dispatch them until the real boss
shows up. He's more vulnerable in his human form, so concentrate your attacks
on him. He will then turn into his Noise form, which is far more powerful. He
will warp around after each of his attacks, which you can't really avoid if you
want to place a hit. Just take in the attacks and keep attacking him. When your
health is low, use Cure Drink. If you're having too much trouble, level-up the
Cure Drink pin before the fight. The higher level it is, the higher number of
times you can use it. Personally I leveled it up so I could use it three times,
which was what I needed for the battle. Also, note that you don't need to take
out all of the boss's HP, only half of it (just the green bar, not the yellow
one unlike other bosses). The fight is long but just keep attacking and healing
yourself. The Cure Drink pin is really all you need to win this battle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------Seventh Day Ends
----- Beat -----
First
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
Day 1, all over again. You'll receive the new first mission:
"Game 1: Reach 104. Time = 60 minutes." P.S. "There is only one player"
You'll need a new partner, too, so head over to he statue of Hachiko. After the
cutscene, you'll be attacked by Noise. You can't fight, so press Start and
escape the battle. After a few more scenes, Beat will form a pact with you.
Fight off the Noise with his help, then run over to the station underpass. Try
going through the east wall, only to find out you're missing some sort of key
to break it. Now go back to the scramble crossing and talk to the red Reaper.
Accept to fight a battle with Beat to clear the wall. Continue to 104 to
conclude the first day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------First Day Ends
Second
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
The new Game Master will inform you of the mission. You have 6 days to find and
defeat her.
Head up to 104 Building. Try going left into Dogenzaka. Beat will open the wall
for you. In the next area you'll face off a Reaper. The fight is quite easy.
Move on to A-East. You'll face another Reaper. Just watch out for the slime -
it can drain your HP. In A-East, speak with 777 to trigger a fight. It's just
the same, with a bunch of bats added in. He'll give you his key pin.
Try entering the concert stage to get attacked by another Reaper. Defeat him,
then save your game. Examine the collar on the ground inside the concert stage.
You'll face the giant bat from the first chapter again. The battle is the same;
you can only attack it in the light. While it's dark, just avoid the attacks by
moving behind the bat. You can tell which side it's attacking by the direction
its eyes are facing. At the end of the fight, it will shrink so you can give
the final blow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------Second Day Ends
Third
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
After Beat splits out what today's mission is, talk to the man on the right.
Now you'll have to chase him around. First go to the station underpass for a
little optional quest. Defeat the Reaper on your way to the bus terminal. The
Reaper there will ask you some questions.
Which of these does a psychedelifox turn into? A mushroom.
Whose picture do you see after you've mingled? Mr. Mew.
Which of these appears before Tin Pin Slammer's title? Inpincible!
After you've answered correctly you'll receive some free stuff. Now go back all
the way to 104 Building. Defeat the Reaper, then talk to Mick and Eiji for a
short scene between them. Return to the scramble crossing and proceed to Center
St. Entrance to find the man again. Continue to AMX, then to Tipsy Tose Hall.
Talk to Mick and the man on the left. When Reaper Creeper starts, move the coin
to any of the circles. You'll get a different scene, depending. Now save your
game and head up to Spain Hill.
Uzuki isn't too difficult to defeat. Just like most Reapers, she can warp
around, but her defense is pretty low. If you're having trouble, just retry the
fight on Easy and she'll be a piece of cake. Bring along a recovery pin and
you're set.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Third Day Ends
Fourth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
You'll wake up at Miyashita Park underpass with a message on your phone "See
you at Towa Records" and a mysterious box. Start by examining all exclamation
points on the ground to find various papers and some flowers. The only one that
matters for now though is the bottom-left one. It shows a start like on the
box, and two yellow noises out of four.
To solve this little puzzle, stand right in the middle of the area. Use the
scan and you should see four yellow Noises floating around you. Select the
top-left one, and the bottom-right one (in a 2 chain battle, or one after the
other). Only defeat those two Noises out of the four. This should leave two
Noises in the area; the top-right one and the bottom-left one. Now stand still
next to Beat until you can talk to him. Press the switch on the box to get the
keypin back.
Head right into Miyashita Park. Examine the ground to find another box with a
different symbol. Go back into the underpass and examine the top-right paper on
the ground. It shows the same symbol and a Noise icon. Return to Miyashita Park
and scan the area. You'll see various different Noises. What you must do here
is defeat the four big ones - same icon as on the paper. Make sure you scan
every part of the area to find all four of them. Once you've defeated all four,
talk to Beat and press the button on the box to find another box inside.
Now go check the bottom-right paper on the ground in the underpass to see a
different pattern. Four Noises on the left, lighted side of the paper, and
three on the right, shadowed part of the paper. The three on the right are in
the Underpass, and the four on the left are in Miyashita Park. Since you're
already in the Underpass, start with that. Scan the whole area to find three
Noises. As the paper indicates, only defeat the one in the middle. Now go to
Miyashita Park and scan the area to find four Noises. Only defeat the second
and third one (the two in the middle). Talk to Beat when you're done to open
the box and get the other keypin back.
Head back west to the Underpass and try passing the wall. Talk to Beat for a
short scene, then proceed left to Towa Records. Save your game, then give a
scan to the area. Exit the scan and watch the short scene. Kariya will then
show up. Defeating him isn't much more complicated than Uzuki. He moves pretty
fast and has some strong attacks, but his defense isn't that high. Make sure
you're not attacking him whil he has the energy ball around him. Just to be
sure, put the fight on Easy and bring along a recovery pin, as always. After
this fight, you'll have to take down both Uzuki and Kariya at the same time.
This fight is quite harder. Beat will face Uzuki on the top screen, and Neku
will face Kariya on the bottom screen. Just do as previously, except that this
time you'll need to use your healing pin a few times (make you have leveled it
up so you can use three or four times).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------Fourth Day Ends
Fifth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
Head over to Tipsy Tose Hall and watch the scene. Go left and talk to the man
to see he's been possessed. Next, talk to the Reaper to engage a fight. After
this is done, scan people's thoughts. They are all possessed. After the scene,
head up to Shibu-Q Heads.
Proceed left and you'll get attacked by a bunch of Reapers. Defeat them, then
continue left to Udagawa Back Streets. Head up the flight of stairs and examine
whatever is on the ground up there. Neku will take a picture. Look at all the
available shots to see Mr. H four days ago. Neku will propose they pay him a
little visit. Head back downstairs to find Kariya and Uzuki waiting for you.
Save your game, then talk to them. It's basically the same fight as previously,
but they're a bit stronger. Make sure you have a healing pin on you that you
can use three or more times; you might need it. And this is all for today.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Fifth Day Ends
Sixth
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
Now time to find Mr. H.
If you don't remember how to get to Cat Street, head east to Shibuya Dept.
Store, then from Cadoi City continue right to Towa Records and the rest is
straightforward. Once at Cat Street, enter WildKat. Neku and Beat will discover
a new keypin. Return to Cadoi City to find a pile of trash. Examine it and
you'll reunite with an old friend. You don't have to win the following battle.
Just fight through it until you loose. And that is all until the next day...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Sixth Day Ends
Seventh
Day
Starts-------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
This is the very last day.
Head over west all the way to the Station Underpass. Continue right to Trail of
the Sinner and you'll receive a message on your phone: "Konishi wields shadow
and illusion. You'll find only lies with the naked eye. During battles, she
always hides in the white darkness. Being by casting Taboo Noise into the heart
of chaos. Then, once you find where she truly lurks, you real battle will
begin. PS: Beware of shadows." Proceed east to Rubicon. On the very right, talk
to Minamimoto and watch the ensuing cutscene.
Defeating Megumi is done into several phases. First, she will only appear on
the top screen while on the bottom one will be various Noises. Everything will
be sucked in by the white hole in the bottom corner. Let Beat take care of Meg
while you get rid of all the enemies on the bottom screen. You must defeat them
before they get sucked in or they will heal the boss. Once you've taken them
down, the screen will change. You can now hit her on both screen with both
characters, so do so until you lower half of her health bar (the whole green
part). Right before, make sure to heal yourself fully with a healing pin. For
the next part your pins will disappear. Now you can only attack her with Beat,
so just run around with Neku to avoid the attacks while you focus on hiting her
with Beat. When only a small amount of her HP is left, the battle will change
again. Beat can't attack anymore, and Neku gets the Rhyme pin. Look for a
yellow light moving around. When you spot it, touch it to reveal Meg. Attack
with the pin until she's defeated for good.
Now save your game, re-arrange your pins and go up to the Trail of the Bygone.
You'll receive a new message on your phone and Ssomeone you've missed will
catch you from behind. Continue right and examine the trash heap. Proceed to
the Dead God's Pad. Talk to the COnductor and you'll now face both him and
Shiki. Compared to the previous fight, this one is very simple and much more
easy. Just fight it like a regular battle and they will go down quickly. After
the cutscene, scan the top of the room to find a hidden door. It will lead you
to the Trail of the Judged. Continue right to the Room of Reckoning. Make sure
you have the right pins equipped as you'll have several battles coming and you
can't save or switch them.
In the next battle the conductor will turn into a dragon Noise. You'll start
the fight with Shiki, then when the boss' HP is almost all gone, the battle
will switch over to Beat and you'll need to take him down again. It's not an
overly difficult fight, just attack with your partner on the top screen while
you attack the dragon's tail on the bottom screen. Eventually the boss will
lower its head to the bottom screen so you can attack it with Neku. Just avoid
the attacks and heal if necessary. Keep attacking until you defeat him. After
the next cutscene, you'll face the same dragon again, but a more powerful
version of it. Now you're alone, and the dragon has five heads. If you don't
have the right pins equipped, this fight is pratically impossible.
The best ones to equip are some dash pins like (like Wolf or Velocity Attack)
and at least one or two healing pins (one that can be used over and over, or
Regen and some recovery pins with more than one use). Bullet pins that can
attack from afar are good for this fight too. Whatever you do, don't get close
to the middle head at the top. Stay near the bottom close to a corner and
attack from there using the dash pin on the bottom heads. Run away when you see
the orange bubble coming at you; don't get caught in it. If you do, attack the
sides to get out. Keep healing everytime you have less than half HP. It's a
very long fight and don't be surprise if your attacks barely do any damage; it
just takes a long while. When you have done a certain amount of damage to the
boss, it will free one of your partners. Everytime you do, your attack power
will increase. Check the top screen once in a while and press the arrow (on the
pad) your partner shows you to get the puck and do more damage. Keep going
until you free the next partner, and so on. Once all three are free, you will
do even more damage and eventually the boss will go down.
Now that the game is over, you can load back your save file and replay any
chapter with new side quests and the "Another Day" chapter will be
available.

Shiki is the girl everyone would want to be. She's cute, joyful, and
fashionable. She always tries to cheer up Neku despite his hostility towards
her and always acts bubbly, but deep inside she's hiding a secret she can't
tell.
Joshua
(Yoshiya Kiryu)

Joshua is mysterious and knows far too much about the game. He always acts as
if he knows better than others, and Neku doesn't like him much. However,
Joshua's knowledge is useful to surviving the game, so he has no choice but to
stick with him.
Beat
(Daisukenojo Bito)
Age: 15
Beat is a toughie with a soft heart. At first him and Neku don't go along well,
but they will learn to go past their differencies and work together.
Rhyme
(Raimu Bito)
Age: Unknown
Rhyme is Beat's little sister and she is always ready to help others out. She
is kind and brings another dimension to the game.
