01. A Note to All [Ch000]
==============================================================================

Hi, and thank you for reading this FAQ. This is actually the first time I've
contribute back to GameFAQs. Think of it as paying back for all the great FAQs
that the site has offered me to enjoy many of the games. Therefore, I'll try
to make this FAQ as detailed as possible for those who are reading it. Hope
you would enjoy it!

Hence this is my first time on getting a hand on writing up on a FAQ, thus
mistakes and errors must exist in this document. So if you found any errors,
please send me an e-mail to willy_sunny (at) rofantasy (dot) com.

You may not copy or reproduce ANY PART of it under any circumstances except
for personal, private use. It may not be placed on any web site or otherwise
distributed publicly without advance written permission. Use of the guide on
any other web site or as a part of any public display is strictly prohibited,
and a violation of copyright.

Please ask for permission by contacting me first before using this document
for any reason, probably I won't have any problems with that, as long as
proper credits were given and such.

Anyways, keep in mind that I am writing this FAQ while I'm still playing this
game, thus the info on this guide may not be 100% correct, but I will fix it
as soon as I have discovered my mistakes and/or corrected by you.

Now, let's begin!

==============================================================================
02. Characters [Ch001]
==============================================================================

There are currently 2 main characters that you can play as.

- Kage, the main character from the NES game.
Note: Recommended for first time player. Kage has more HP than Chihiro, and
his shooting star is much convient than Chihiro's hook.

- Chihiro, a new character introduced in this game, where she's from a ninja's
village.
Note: Her hook's range is much shorter than Kage's shooting star, but her
hook's attack deals quite a bit of damage, and fast too. (not to mention that
it also penetrates ^^) And she has more magic points than Kage.

==============================================================================
03. Controls [Ch002]
==============================================================================
There are 4 types of control that you can choose in the option.

Type A (Default)
- A (Melee Attack) = Blade (Kage) / Scythe (Chihiro) attack
- B = Jump
- X = Activate Jitsu
- Y (Ranged attack) = Shooting star (Kage) / Hook (Chihiro)

Type B:
- A (Ranged attack) = Shooting star (Kage) / Hook (Chihiro)
- B = Jump
- X = Activate Jitsu
- Y (Melee Attack) = Blade (Kage) / Scythe (Chihiro) attack

Type C:
- A = Jump
- B (Melee Attack) = Blade (Kage) / Scythe (Chihiro) attack
- X = Activate Jitsu
- Y (Ranged attack) = Shooting star (Kage) / Hook (Chihiro)

Type D:
- A = Jump
- B (Ranged attack) = Shooting star (Kage) / Hook (Chihiro)
- X = Activate Jitsu
- Y (Melee Attack) = Blade (Kage) / Scythe (Chihiro) attack

Common Controls:
- L / R = Switch Magic (or Ninjitsu, if you prefer ninja talk xD)
- Start = Pause/Start the game

Movements:
- Down = Crouch
- Left / Right = Move Left / Right
- Double tap in same direction = Dash
- Double tap in same direction in mid air = Air Dash (per airborn)

Holding onto walls / ceilings:
- Just jump towards the wall / ceiling, and it'll cling to it automatically.

While cling on the wall:
- Up = Run upwards on the wall
- Down = Slide down
- You may shoot shooting star at any direction (other than towards the wall)
 by holding directional key.
- You may slash while clining on the wall.
- If you press jump while holding on an opposite direction, you will jump off
 in an opposite direction.
- If you press jump while holding down, you'll drop off from the wall.

While cling on the wall:
- Left / Right = Move Left / Right
- You may shoot shooting star at any direction (other than towards the ceiling)
 by holding directional key.
- You may slash while clining to the ceiling.
- If you press jump while holding down, you'll drop off from the wall.

=================
Advanced Movement
=================

Jump higher than normal:
- By performing a dash while jumping, you can actually jump higher than
 limited height.

Jump higher in same spot:
- Similiar to above, but basically stand still, tap any direction once, and
press jump the same time the same direction key is pressed. Once jumped,
release the direction button will sends you straight up.

Quick clinging to the wall:
- Perform an air dash towards the wall in mid-air. Useful in places where cliff
is too short to be grabbed by jumping/dropping.

06. Jitsu Synthesis [Ch005]
==============================================================================

This is something rather fun to do in Kage Densetsu 2. First, you were given a
grid with holes in it. Like this:

         O - O - O
          \ / \ /
           O - O
          / \ / \
         O - O - O

There are 4 type of orbs that you can use - Red (or orange = =), Blue,
Yellow, and Silver. You can create a new Jistu by aligning the orbs in a
geometrical shape such as triangle or diamond. You may create 17 jitsus.

Do note that if you have the half-magic cost skill, the number required for
the jitsu would be rounded to integer. For example, if a skill cost 3 points
would become 2 (1.5 rounded to integer) point if halved. Which means it is not
effecient to carry those skills, since there are more powerful skill that
would cost the same. (Such as the Firewall (multiple) vs Pheonix)

================
Fire Types (Red)
================

Name:        Fireball
Combo:       Red + Red + Yellow
Consume:     One point of magic
Description: Spilts out 2 fireballs diagonally, and one horizontally
Rating:      2/10
Reasoning:   Alright, compare this skill to the totally pointless firewall, this
actually scores abit better than it, but none the less, it is still
junk. Yes, it fires 3 fireballs at once in 3 directions. But ...
can't you do the same with your shooting star, other than the fact
you can't shoot 3 at the same time? =\ The only benefit that I see
from this skill other than multiple firing would be the cost of one
point is some what worthwhile to invest into this skill.

Name:        Firewall (single)
Combo:       Red + Red + Red
Consume:     Three point of magic
Description: Shoots up a firewall in front of you.
Rating:      1/10
Reasoning:   I found this totally pointless, due to the fact that not only
the enemy must be right in front of you, but it also has a
height limit. Which means foes could sometimes jump over the wall
and damage you. It also does not target any foes at all, meaning
your attack would miss most of the time. Bah. What a waste of space
            and magic.

Name:        Firewall (multiple)
Combo:       Red + Red + Red + Silver
Consume:     Five point of magic
Description: Similiar to above, but it moves forward horizontally.
Rating:      1/10
Reasoning:   Oh. My. God. On top of all the characteristics from firewall
(single), this wall moves forward! Weee ... but totally pointless
again. And they are demanding 5 points of magic for it, wtf!? Even
with Halves Magic Usage, it would still cost bloody 3 points! Hell
            with that!

Name:        Pheonix (full screen)
Combo:       Red + Red + Red + Red
Consume:     Six point of magic
Description: Pheonix raise from bottom of the screen, hitting upwards.
Rating:      4/10
Reasoning:   This skill is basically for show. You see a bunch of fiery birds
flew into the sky. Weee. It does have it's place in a place where
mobbed with foes, but use it in a boss fight? Don't even think
            about this skill.

===============
Ice Type (Blue)
===============

Name:        Double Ice Barrier
Combo:       Blue + Blue + Yellow
Consume:     Two points of magic
Description: Two crystalized ice circling around you
Rating:      8/10
Reasoning:

Name:        Full Ice Barrier
Combo:       Blue + Blue + Blue
Consume:     Four points of magic
Description: Four crystalized ice circling around you (If painted green, it
reminds me of the leaf shield in Megaman 2 XD)
Rating:      7/10
Reasoning:   More indensity means less chance of penetrating attacks. With 4
ice barriers, you can just dash through many of dangerous place
without worrying much on being penetrated. I usually use this
when I'm in a crowded place with lots of one-hit KO / multiple
shooting star zones, which can protect you from alot of careless
damage. Problem with this skill is, it has the same duration as the
Double Ice Barrier, or just abit slightly longer, and most foes
dies at a relative fast speed that many of the hits generated from
the barrier is wasted. Another downside of it is the cost of 2
points could be invested in much better skill (Such as the Double
            Ice Barrier =D).

Name:        Ultimate Ice Barrier
Combo:       Blue + Blue + Blue + Blue
Consume:     Six points of magic
Description: Four crystalized ice circling around you, plus, you are covered
in a bubble barrier, nullfying ALL damage. (Includes one-hit KO
particle beam used by final boss)
Rating:      9/10
Reasoning:   The invincibility gives it one hella boost, especially once you
got the half magic usage skill, you can easily cast this skill 3
times, tripling the fun :D On top of that, it also get the
characteristics of the Full Ice Barrier, which means you can just
walk up to the boss and say, "Hi. How are you doing?" xD The only
downside of this skill is the requirement of 4 orbs will prevent
you on having a healing skill.

=====================
Thunder Type (Yellow)
=====================

Name:        Lightning Strike
Combo:       Red + Yellow + Yellow
Consume:     One point of magic
Description: Shoot a lighting bolt onto nearest target, striking maximum 3 times
Rating:      10/10
Reasoning:   This skill is surely a godsend. One point cost. Good Damage. Hit
multiple times. Auto-locks onto target. Penetrating target. You
name it. It gives the user alot of damage, and also a fool-proof
way on killing a foe - If you are on my screen, consider yourself
            dead.

Name:        Thunderbolts
Combo:       Yellow + Yellow + Yellow
Consume:     Three points of magic
Description: Sends two lightning strike striking cloeset foes.
Rating:      7/10
Reasoning:   Slightly higher cost, and it does NOT stack on same target. Meaning
that if there's only one foe in the screen, the other bolt would
be wasted. It is only good when you are hitting multiple foes in
            the air.

Name:        Thundersnake
Combo:       Yellow + Yellow + Yellow + Silver
Consume:     Five points of magic
Description: A snake? A dragon? I don't know, but it's a wide verticle thunder
beam striking down on the closest target at maximum 7 times.
Rating:      6/10
Reasoning:   Much energy cost, not as effecient as Lightning Strike, and at
halves magic cost, using vortex would be much more effecient than
this skill, considering that they both all cost 3 points of magic
at that time, and vortex can hit everything on the screen.

Name:        Vortex
Combo:       Yellow + Yellow + Yellow + Yellow
Consume:     Six points of magic
Description: Creates a spinning crossing thunder bolt that strike every foe in
            the screen.
Rating:      7/10
Reasoning:   If I were to give a score on cool visual effect, I'd give this a
            10. However, the hit generated with this skill varies on where the
target was hit by the thunder. And the center of the damage is
ALWAYS at the top center of the lower screen! So if you can
position your foe in that position would generating some serious
            damage.

==================
Power Ups (Purple)
==================

Name:        Defence Up
Combo:       Red + Blue + Yellow
Consume:     Three points of magic
Description: Raises your defence temporary.
Rating:      4/10
Reasoning:   This is a somewhat good skill to use at the beginning of the game.
Consider it's easier to build, and you can withstand alot more
            damage.

Name:        Attack Up
Combo:       Red + Red + Blue
Consume:     Four points of magic
Description: Raises your attack temporary.
Rating:      3/10
Reasoning:   Somewhat not worthwhile in investing if you have more clones. By
using clones, it has been observed to perform higher dps over using
            this skill.

Name:        Attack Speed Up
Combo:       Blue + Yellow + Yellow
Consume:     Four points of magic
Description: Your attack speed is faster
Rating:      2/10
Reasoning:   Making you hit fast doesn't neccessary means you will do more
damage. You just have less freeze time after the attack animation.

===================
Restoration (Green)
===================

Name:        Heal
Combo:       Silver + Red + Yellow + Blue
Consume:     Four points of magic
Description: Heals a portion of health.
Rating:      9/10
Reasoning:   This skill gets better when you get more health. Since it heals by
around 1/5 of your maximum health, which means more health = more
healing =D. On top of that, during the casting animation AND 5
seconds after the animation, you are granted invincibilty. Sweet.

=================
Ultimate (Silver)
=================

Name:        Fire Dragon (*Note 2)
Combo:       Red + Red + Red + Silver + Silver + Silver
Consume:     Seven points of magic
Description: Similiar to Thundersnake, however, this skill hits directly in the
center of the screen, regardless of the enemy's position. It also
has a wider width than Thundersnake.
Rating:      4/10
Reasoning:   Dispite the fact that you can summon a cool fire breathing dragon,
it is considered as a not effecient skill to carry. Not only it
takes a lot of space, but the heavy demand on magic points and not
able to always hit on foe makes it not so great of a skill to use
during combat, other than it's coolness. xD

Name:        Metor Shower (*Note 2)
Combo:       Red + Blue + Yellow + Silver + Silver + Silver
Consume:     Seven points of magic
Description: Rains random amount of metor in the screen, hitting every thing in
            the screen.
Rating:      8/10
Reasoning:   This skill not only looks cool, but it has a much better damage
and combo count than the Fire Dragon. This skill is best cast in an
area where it has alot of hit areas, you'd find yourself with some
            amazing results.

Template Layout
===============

Here are some themes that I've been doing while trying to discover new jitsus.
Some are rather interesting, by the way. Hope you can enjoy this section! ^^
Remember, this is not a fixed image, if you like, you can also filp the order
vertically and/or horizontally!

Legends:
R = Red Orb, B = Blue Orb, Y = Yellow Orb, S = Silver Orb, O = Optional

Theme name: Starter Build
Layout:
         S - Y - Y
          \ / \ /
           B - R
          / \ / \
         B - B - R

Jitsu in this list:
- Lighting Bolt
- Defense up
- Heal
- Full Ice Barrier
- Attack up

Note: In this formation, which I usually carries around most of the time during
beginning of the game, it offers a healing skill, ice barrier, defence up,
attack up, and basic fire and lightning spells. An all-round build for players
to experience each of the different jitsus.

Theme name: Upgraded Build
Layout:
         B - Y - Y
          \ / \ /
           B - R
          / \ / \
         S - S - S

Jitsu in this list:
- Lighting Bolt
- Double Ice Barrier
- Defense up
- Heal
- Metor Shower

Note: This build was developed by my roommate who also plays this game. It not
only generate alot of damage, but it also helps keeping yourself alive longer.
With the help of havles magic usage, this build could be devestating. But the
problem would lie in finding the 3 silver orbs.

Theme name: Fire!
Layout:
         R - R - Y
          \ / \ /
           R - R
          / \ / \
         S - S - S

Jitsu in this list:
- Fireball
- Firewall (single)
- Firewall (multiple)
- Pheonix
- Fire Dragon

Note: All of the attacks in this combo contains nothing but ALL of the fire
attacks. And since Kage is such a flame-themed character, this just makes it
much fitting. That's all. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED for using this in normal game
play xD.

Theme name: Pikachu! THUNDER BOLT NOW!
Layout:
         Y - Y - S
          \ / \ /
           Y - Y
          / \ / \
         O - R - O

Jitsu in this list:
- Lighting Strike
- Thundersnake
- Thunderbolts
- Vortex

Note: All of the attacks in this combo contains nothing but ALL of the thunder
attacks. That's all. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED for using this in normal game play
xD.

Theme name: Deep Freeze
Layout:
         B - B - Y
          \ / \ /
           B - B
          / \ / \
         O - O - O

Jitsu in this list:
- Double Ice Barrier
- Full Ice Barrier
- Ultimate Ice Barrier

Note: All of the attacks in this combo contains nothing but ALL of the ice
attacks. That's all. You may "actually try" to play with this mode for some
challenges.

Theme name: Energy Saver
Layout:
         B - B - S
          \ / \ /
           Y - R
          / \ / \
         Y - Y - R

Jitsu in this list:
- Lighting Strike
- Double Ice Barrier
- Fireball
- Thunderbolts
- Heal
- Defence Up

Note: Saving energy is always a nice thing. This is one of the builds that
makes it work. With Halves Magic Usage, all jitsus would now cost no more than
two points! Talk about lots of magic shows!

Theme name: Ultimate Jitsu
Layout:
         B - R - Y
          \ / \ /
           S - S
          / \ / \
         R - S - R

Jitsu in this list:
- Metor shower
- Fire Dragon

Note: You only have 2 Jitsu here, the fire dragon and the metor shower.
It's the only way that you can fit both jitsus in one fitting. I only go
with this build if I wanted to reach excellent rank on a mission (due to the
fact that metor shower can generate some crazy hit combos in a crowded place).

===============================================================================
07. Skill List [Ch006]
===============================================================================

There are 10 skills that you can obtain once you beaten a stage. However, the
mechnism in which the skills are unlocked are still unknown. From observation,
it seems as if the skills are given out by random. Because I have played this
game togeter with my roommate at the same time, yet we both unlock different
skills.

You can turn on and off (or upgrade/downgrade) skills in this menu by pressing
A (Castlevania anyone? xD). And you can preview the skill on the upper menu by
pressing x.

The following is a full list for Kage (might be different for Chihiro) from
top-to-bottom, left-to-right fashion:

- Clones - hold down the melee attack key to charge up, and release it to
create clones of you. Press L + R to cancel the clone mode. Maximum 5 clones
(self included) can be cloned.
Note: Clones cost your magic points!!

- Slide - Press down + jump. It can damage foes with this move.

- Jump - It changes the height that your character can jump. Higher the level,
higher the height. Currently I've unlocked to level 4

- Slash combo - It tells you how many continious melee hit combo you can
perform. Maximum 3 hit combo can be performed.

- Downward Slash - While falling down, press down + attack. Link, anyone? xD
Note: You can only perform this skill once per airborn.

- Jump on foes' head - Use your foe's head as an additional jumping platform.
Time and press the jump button when you are about to stomp on the foe.
Note: you can keep jumping all you like.

- Deflect shooting star - press the attack button when a shooting star is about
to hit you to deflect the shooting star back to the shooter.

- Penetrating shooting star - your shooting star can now penetrate foes, wee!

- Uppercut - Press up + attack while ON GROUND. Sorry, have to make that clear.

- Halves Magic Point Usage - Passive. And it kicks ass. XD

===============================================================================
08. Boss FAQ [Ch007]
===============================================================================

This section will talk about boss' behavior and how to effectively defeat them.
Keep in mind that all these bosses are currently -DEFEATED WITH KAGE-, so it may
not be applicable when you are playing with Chihiro. I'm working on that after
getting a detailed analysis on the bosses with Kage first.

Note: Since I cannot fully pronuce Japaneses' kanji, I'll just use references.
It'd be appreciated if you can give me a full list on the names.

-------------------
a) Stage 01 [Ch70A]
-------------------
Boss: Rival

Attack styles:
- Cross Slash
- Uppercut
- Leap attack
- Dash

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
Since it's the first stage, you are not really given with anything. Just go
take him on head on. If you have enough magic points, I'd recommend you use
cloning to deal more damage.

-------------------
b) Stage 02 [Ch70B]
-------------------
Boss: Monk

Attack styles:
- Flame thrower
- Dash
- Fire balls
- Great flame thrower

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
The monk is rather easy. All he does is jumps around, and dashs in straight
line if he's on the ground. You can notice his dash attack when he's
preparing to charge like a bull = =. As to his flame thrower, you can simply
jump behind him and just keep mashing the attack button. Once he's health
drops around half, he'll charge and enlarge himself once he's in a corner.
That's the signal for his great flame thrower. Just jump to the highest
platform beside him, and you'll be perfectly fine. Once he used the great
flame thrower, he'll become exausted and unable to fight back for awhile.
You know what to do ;)

c) Stage 03 [Ch70C]
-------------------
Boss: The Third Sister

Attack styles:
- Bomb throwing
- Ambush bomb throwing
- Kick

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
She's rather annoying, but does not pose a threat. All she does is ... bomb
throwing. Nothing but throwing bombs, with exception with one hella painful
kick if you get too close to her in melee range. Most of the time, just hid
by the corner, and just keep shoot shooting star at her while she throws the
bombs. Soon, you'll realize she will kneel down and seems to be stacking her
bombs (I'm assuming she's reloading? xD). At that time, if you rush in and hit
her with the blade, the bombs will blow up and deals quite abit of damage to
her. Now, if she decided to hide behind the bushes and jumps up to throw the
bombs, you can jump up with her and give her one nice jab, and you'll find her
dropping down into the floor, dazzled. Time to jab her some more :D (just re-
memeber to back out abit to prevent her kick kicking you)

-------------------
d) Stage 04 [Ch70D]
-------------------
Boss: The Second Sister

Attack styles:
- Circular papar doll formation attack
- Square paper doll formation attack
- Scatter paper doll formation attack
- Cross paper doll formation attack

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
She flies! Yes, with her paper dolls, she managed to float herself up with them
which doesn't makes any sense xD. Anyways, you'll realize that there'll be a
golden paper doll that stands out than rest of the paper dolls. I'm sure you
are smart enough to figure out that's where you are supposed to hit it =). Just
do NOT hit it while it's circling around the boss, it won't work. After killing
three gold paper dolls, you'll find the boss falling down dazzled as well. JAB!
You'll find the battle over rather fast.

-------------------
e) Stage 05 [Ch70E]
-------------------
Boss: Two Statues

Attack styles:
- Wind Blade
- Fallen Rock
- Thunder strike

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
This mission has 2 bosses, one red and one teal. The teal one sends wind blades
which aims at you once summoned. Keep watching their color. If they turn grey,
it means it grants temporary immunity. I just turns on my clone and just go jab
jab jab on the teal one first, then go after to the red one. Before the light-
ning strike hits, you'll first see black outline of the lightning strike, so ..
just ... dodge away? xD This boss is rather easy as well. Just have lots of hp,
that's all.

-------------------
f) Stage 06 [Ch70F]
-------------------
Boss: The First Sister

Attack styles:
- Blue + Red Wave attack
- Small orb attack

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
As the head of the sisters, she's sure one annoying boss to fight. First of all,
you'll realize that you are in a rather closed area. Second, her attack is all
horizontal attacks ... which moves up and down vertically = =. In other words,
it is rather annoying on dodging her attacks. This is how I usually fight her:

       |                  |
       |        O---------|
       |                  |   P = Player
       |P   B             |   B = Boss
       |                  |   O = the Red + Blue Orbs
       |        O---------|
       |                  |

While she's using this attack and go up and down, you can just wall climb and
just keep slashing her / use shooting star at her. Once her life drops by half,
you will notice that she'll spawn 2 more smaller orbs, which will charge at you
and damages you. On top of that, her wave attack pattern might change into this:

       |                  |
       |        B         |
       |                  |
       |   O--------------|   B = Boss
       |                  |   O = the Red + Blue Orbs
       |------------O     |
       |                  |

When this happens, what I'd do is just get touched by the smaller orbs, while
having temporary invincibility, I just jump to the top and slash her. Every 3
hits will drop her down to the ground, dazzled. Man, they sure get dazzled
alot, not that I don't like it ;)

-------------------
g) Stage 07 [Ch70G]
-------------------
Boss: Giant Spider

Attack styles:
- Poison Gas
- Burn String
- Build String
- Fire ball
- Bullet Punch

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
This boss repeats the attack style in order. However, with an exception that
it'll use fire ball when you are too far away from him, and bullet punch when
you are in close proxmity with him. What I do is, wait for him to rebuild a
line, then approach him in close range. Wait for him to lock into a position
ready for his bullet punch, then you'd move/jump away from the direction he's
facing, and just jab him. At this time, you should be able to synthesize the
ice barrier skill, use it. It'll put the misery spider to his doom.

-------------------
h) Stage 08 [Ch70H]
-------------------
Boss: The Three Sisters

Attack styles:
- The First Sister
 - When all remains: She will cast a vertical beam with the height from the
bottom to the highest roof, but you can just stand on the top of roof
without feared to be damaged by that skill.
 - When one falls: She will cast two horizontal beams that patrols up and down
on the two platform on the sides. You can stand on the bottom without
   worrying getting hit by it.
 - When last standing: The two orbs will keep charging at you like a homing
   missile. Relative easy to dodge.
- The Second Sister
 - When all remains: She summons her paper dolls as a shield first, and then
sent them to sky, attacking you with scatter doll formation. Just go under
her the moment she sends her dolls into the sky, and do a maximum of three
uppercut, and she'll drop to the floor, dazzled.
 - When one falls: She summons her paper dolls as a shield first, and then
sent them to sky, attacking you with crossed doll formation. Watch the
pattern of the dolls and dodge accordingly, or you can simply jump over them
from the center platform. Another way would be just go under her the moment
she sends her dolls into the sky, and do a maximum of three uppercut, and
she'll drop to the floor, dazzled, just like the first form.
 - When last standing: (To be added)
- The Third Sister
 - When all remains: She spins in a small circle on top left of the screen and
throws bombs at random interval, making the center platform a hazadous spot.
You can TRY to keep an eye on the bomb pattern and dodge it, it's somewhat
hard to do because you also have to focus on the two other sister's attack.
 - When one falls: She will stand on the left platform, and mass bomb throwing.
You can easily kill her by standing below the platform and just use your
uppercut at her. Just watch out for the paperdolls if you killed the first
sister first, or the beam of the first sister's if you killed the second
   sister first.
 - When last standing: She will circle around in the center and throw bombs
at random interval. Basically by standing below a platform should ensure
your safty at 99% of the time, but occasionally she'll throw bombs below
   the platform, so becareful.
- Triangle attack
 - Only performable when all 3 sister remains on the map.
 - Signs on preparing the skill: The Second Sister would summon her paper dolls
around her as a shield, then the first and third sister would move towards
the center. Keep in mind that the third sister usually moves in alot slower,
making this a very good oppertunity to heal up/attack.
 - To break their formation, just deal enough damage to all sisters, and they
will all fall down, dazzled. The easiest way is to stand directly below the
sisters, while shooting shooting star upwards (works even better with
penetrating shooting stars). The rotation will gives you an evenly
distributed attack to all three sisters.

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
Urgh. One is not enough. It comes in three! And they combo too! I focused my
attack one at a time, killing the sisters in ascending order. The first two
sisters were really a pain in the butt, but, if you can endure it, then the
third sister is really weak compared to the rest. Since she just sits on the
paper dolls and circles while throwing bombs. Here's a hint if you made it
this far: The ground is clear, and the sky is open to launch your shooting
stars. Yep. Just stand on the ground, since her bombs will be blocked by the
roof, and since she just keeps circling, you just have to aim up and shoot
the shooting stars, she'll circle to her own doom. xD

-- Alternative Way --

Another way found out by my roommate after discovered the sister's attack
patterns. He's recommend you to defeat Second Sister, Third Sister, then
First Sister, in that order. Since from the analysis, the two attacks that
the remaining two sister performs is really harmless if you just stand right
below the Third Sister. So all you'd do is just keep doing upper cut until the
Third Sister falls. Once the First Sister remains, just keep moving yourself to
the lower left and right corner to attract the orbs to follow you, then jump
past the orbs and slash the First Sister. About every three slashes, she'll
fall, dazzeled. It's more jabbing time =D

Method used to defeat it: (hard)(hell)
There isn't really much changes to the sisters' attacks. Just the amount of
paper dolls and bombs increases, and the speed of the orbs moves faster. So,
you may still use same tactics to defeat them.

-------------------
i) Stage 09 [Ch70I]
-------------------
Boss: Oni

Attack Styles
- Cross lightning balls
- Explosive
- Dust whirlwind
- Homing energy ball

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
This boss has four faces, each uses a different attack. Just observe the attack
patterns and you should be able to dodge them all with ease. With the exception
of the dust whirlwind. Since you can't really predict where it's first attack
will land, and you could trap yourself into a dead corner if not careful. Once
their health drops to about 1/4, they'll go into hard mode - attacks faster,
more variation, more damage, but LOW DEFENSE. So finish it off as soon as you
can.

-------------------
j) Stage 12 [Ch70J]
-------------------
Boss: Rival

Attack styles:
- Cross Slash
- Uppercut
- Leap attack
- Dash
- Shooting star
- 3-Hit Uppercut
- Teleport Dash Attack (Hard)
- Teleport Uppercut (Hard)
- Teleport Shooting Star (Hell)

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
This boss can be uber annoying or uber easy depends on how you want to fight
him. If you decide to go fight him head on, you'll find yourself fighting a
demon. However, he has one very sad sad glitch. If you analyze his move enough,
you'll realize he does the following pattern:

(Note: P = player action, R = rival reaction)

+- P: Getting close to rival and slashes him
|  +- R: He jumps backward
|  |  +- R: then does a cross slash
|  |  |  +- P: move away from the direction you hit him, wait for him to do his
|  |  |     cross slash, move in and slash him again. Repeat.
|  |  +- R: then does a 3-hit uppercut (When health is below 1/2)
|  |     +- P: You can do the same reaction as above, or you can just dash
|  |        towards him and slash.
|  +- R: He leaps in mid air, trying to assult you from above.
|     +- P: if you were close enough with the rival, then you can basically
|        stand still and watches him jump right over your head. Slash once
|        he lands. Repeat.
+- P: Staying at a relative long distance with the rival
|  +- R: He uses his shooting stars
|  |  +- P: Wait and time for the shooting star to get close to you. Deflect it.
|  +- R: He jumps backward, and then uses dash attack
|     +- P: Just jump over him. Period.
+- P: Attack him from mid-air
+- R: He goes directly underneath you and does an uppercut, unavoidable.

Now, by understand his response to what action you do, you can see that getting
close to him and slash and run away is actually not a bad choice of strategy. I
can basically fight him unscratched.

Method used to defeat it: (hard)
Urgh. What the hell. He isn't so dumb anymore. If you think the first half of
the boss is still the same, think twice once his hp drops by half. He will parry
your attack and then warp behind you and use a dash attack. He will use an
uppercut attack if you tries to attack him from above. PAIN, AND LOTS OF IT.
Thus, in order to effeciently defeat him, you basically have to trap him in a
corner. Observe the diagram below.

(The arrow means the direction you are facing, and P = Player, R = Rival)

                  |                             |                   Down Jab|
       Slash      |   Rival    Dash   Jump      |  Rival               -->  |
        --> Parry | Teleports   -->    -->      |  Dashes               P-->|
         P    R   |   ====>      R      P       |  ====>                  R |
 -----------------|            -----------------|          -----------------|

As the diagram shows, the moment you slashes him, you'll see the screen turn
black for an instant, indicating that he's about to teleport, then you just keep
progress in the same direction you were originally going, and jump. Once you
think you have enough height, just do a down attack and hoping that the rival is
STILL IN DASH ANIMATION! Or else, you'd find yourself getting parried again, and
an upprecut will come at your way.

Method used to defeat it: (hell)
This time, he is tricker than ever. There is a CHANCE that once parried on
ground level, he will NOT use dash attack, but use shooting star instead. Gah.
But other than that, there isn't much differences.

k) Stage 13 [Ch70K]
-------------------
Boss: Final Boss Form 1

Attack styles:
- Clone
- Unlimited Blade Works! (Sorry, had to throw in that FSN jokes here)
 [Blade Summon]
- Dash + Blade Summon

Method used to defeat it: (normal)
What the ... !? Jitsu = no effect !? Physical attack = no effect !? Shooting
star = no effect as well!? What is going on !?

Nothing, really. The boss is invincible 99% of the time. You just have to do the
unexpect to knock the boss out before you can actually damage him.

It's actually easy to hit him, since he repeats the attack style in cycle, just
like the giant spider. Your goal is try to knock the boss out and slash on the
giant stone statue in the center of the map. Here are tactics towards defeating
him.

1. Clones - use your shooting star shoot the one in front of your character
first, then aim upwards and shoot like crazy, eventually one of the shooting
star will hit the real self and he'll fall.

2. Blade Summon - when he summons the swords, you can deflect the sword, and
once the sword is deflected (it'll spin in mid air), hit it again. it'll go
directly to the boss. if you can hit him 3 times via this method, he'll fall
down again.

3. Dashing across - I'd usually avoid this one. He dashes across the screen and
summons blades right above the path he dashed in, and the blade will aim at
you. And he'll go back and forth 4 times, however, there's a long pause between
his third and forth dash, so don't just start hopping after his third dash,
wait for a bit.

Method used to defeat it: (hard)
Basically, he's still the same, with the exception that the amount of dashes
plus intervals between dashes becomes randomlized, so it is harder to obtain a
attack pattern for this anymore. So just trust your instinct. It is still not
hard.

Method used to defeat it: (hell)
Again, he's the same in hard mode, with the exception that the first two blade
summoning, instead of dropping straight down, they target on you as well.

Boss: Final Boss Form 2

Attack styles
- Punch
- Purple Orbs
- Bleed
- Particle Beam!

Method used to defeat it: (normal)(hard)(hell)
Contra anyone? I mean, this boss reminds me of Harvest Yard. Anyways, you can
easily achieve 99+ combo from this boss. By applying the ice barrier, and just
keep jumping around his chest, and you'll be able to obtain it. As to effecient
way to kill him, just don't die. XD
PS: His particle beam is a one-hit KO move. So be uber watch out with that.

09. Notes [Ch008]
===============================================================================

*Note 1 - Removed, since I've confirmed the position of the hard mode -

*Note 2 - Once you successfully synthesis this skill, after you beat a mission,
you'll unlock #18 (Metor Shower) and #19 (Fire Dragon) in gallery. (I think,
because I unlocked both at the same time)

*Note 3 - For some odd reason, according to the unlocking requirement, you are
supposed to get it the momsnt you defeat the boss, but sometimes it doesn't
give you until a stage later =\

*Note 4 - I assume you have to beat boss rush and get break the record.
