[TB_004] Battle System
o========================o
The battlefield consists of 3 horizontal lines or lanes aka "3-on-3 Linear
Motion Battle System" or simply "3on3-LMBS". Please refer to the diagram below.
C2-----------------E2
--------C1-----E1----
---------------------
The above diagram shows a typical encounter layout. C for character. E for
enemy. Now I'll simply enumerate the basic guidelines in battles for simplicity
sake.
Controls:
---------
1. Attack using 'A' button.
Defend using 'Y' button.
1st equipped Artes using 'B' button.
2nd equipped Artes using 'B' + 'UP' button.
3rd equipped Artes using 'B' + 'DOWN' button.
4th equipped Artes using 'B' + 'LEFT' or 'RIGHT' button.
Menu using 'X' button.
Move around using the D-Pad. ('UP', 'DOWN', 'LEFT', 'RIGHT' button)
Offense:
--------
2. 'A' 1-hit attack.
'A' + 'A' 2-hit attack.
'A' + 'A' + 'A' 3-hit combo attack.
Hold 'A' Guard smash.
There's no other combination.
3. By default pressing 'A' will semi-automatically attempt to attack the
enemy. If there is another nearby enemy blocking the path on the same lane,
your character will automatically change to the same lane as the enemy
target. Refer to the diagram below. Your target is E2.
C2-----------------E2 C2--------------C1-E2
--------C1-----E1---- -> ---------------E1----
--------------------- ---------------------
Before Attacking After Attacking
4. Only 3 and more consecutive attacks are considered a combo.
5. Staff/Rod/Spell Artes users can only attack once. They can't combo using
normal attacks. Likewise, spells are not counted towards combo.
6. When the enemy is not on the same line, your character will automatically
attempt to adjacently attack the enemy target. This changes the direction
the character faces.
Escape:
-------
7. Escape the battle by running along the end of the line.
Defense and Leap:
8. You can only Guard frontal attacks. In other words, attacks coming from the
direction you're character is currently facing.
9. You can change where you're character is facing by holding down 'Y' and
pressing down any of the D-PAD. Press down, not tap.
10. While guarding, you can double tap the D-Pad to leap either sideward or
backward but never frontward. What's sideward or backward is relative to
your where you're character is facing.
Change Lane:
------------
11. While not holding any button, double tapping 'UP' and 'DOWN' button will
change your lane. There's no double tap right or left. You can also change
lane via leaping.
Artes:
------
12. Artes is omni-directional. Doesn't matter where you're facing. You can
execute it the way you set it.
Chain Combo:
------------
13. In order to chain combo, you need to continuously launch an attack. The
combo meter ends right after the last hit. There's no grace period. Combo
meter is also canceled once the leading character gets interrupted by enemy
attack.
14. To rack up combos, use multi-hit artes followed by master artes or arcane
artes, then quickly switch through member, follow the previous step,
repeat. This sounds easy but it's hard to pull off since dumb AIs tends to
run around the battlefield.
Fight Mode:
-----------
15. There are 3 fight modes: Manual, Semi-Auto and Auto. Manual will give you
the most freedom and control to your character. Semi-Auto automates running
towards the enemy when you attack and leaps backward when there's a space.
Auto leaves the AI to fully control your character. If you want full battle
experience, go for Manual. If you want to stick to the default fight mode,
then go for Semi-Auto. If you're a lazy bum like me, then go for Auto.
Guard Smash:
------------
16. To smash an enemy's guard, hold 'A' and release the button to deal a heavy
attack.
Counter/Guard Cancel:
---------------------
17. To counter an enemy, press 'A' when the enemy attack is about to hit.
Spell Holding:
--------------
18. If you're controlling a spellcaster (e.g. Rubia/Arria), then you hold 'B'
to halt the spell until you release it. During spell holding, you can take
your time picking your target.
Defending:
----------
19. You can defend from both magic and physical attacks.
o====================o
[TB_005] Formation
o====================o
Location: Game Menu > Status > Formation
Formation allows you to set the initial position of active party members once
the battle started. There are 21 spaces: 3 rows x 7 columns. There is also the
Rear (left) side and Front (right) side. Under normal circumstance, the enemy
will come from the front. Otherwise, when ambushed, the enemy will come from
the rear.
What makes formation great is that you can gain a bonus effect depending on
which space you positioned your party members.
1 Active Member (1-buff slot)
-----------------------------
Any space - Restore TP
- Effect: Recover 1% TP every 3 seconds
2 Active Members (1-buff slot)
------------------------------
Members are on the same lane - the one at the front gains ATK Up
- the one at the back gains DEF Up
Members are not on the same lane - the one at the front gains ACC Up
and diagonal to each other - the one at the back gains INT Up
- when side by side, both gains AGI Up
Members are not on the same lane - Restore TP
and not diagonal to each other
3 Active Members (2-buff slot)
------------------------------
Same rule applies with 2 active members applies here. There's an extra buff
slot though.
o==================o
[TB_006] Members
o==================o
Location: Game Menu > Status > Formation>Members
You can set which character will be active or idle in battle. You can only
have a maximum of 3 active party members (including the leading character
you're controlling) at a time.
How it works: You need to assign numbers 1 to X (where X is the total no. of
characters who currently have at disposal the party) to everyone. Numbers 1,2
and 3 will be the ones participating in battles. Number 1 will always be the
character you're going to control.
* Idled members will still gain exp and learn artes.
* You can switch the leader by pressing SELECT during battle.
o===================o
[TB_007] Strategy
o===================o
Location: Game Menu > Status > Strategy
Strategy allows you to set what the AI will do during battle. You can set their
behavior, target and arte usage.
1. Behavior (from aggressive to passive)
Personal
Buckle Down
Go Crazy
Well-Balanced
Be Careful
Stay Alive
2. Target (self-explanatory)
Attack Freely
Same Enemy
Different Enemy
Nearby Enemy
Distant Enemy
Powerful Enemy
Weak Enemy
3. Arte Usage (from all-out to don't use at all)
Use Artes
Rush Them
Moderation
Hold Back
Save Energy
Don't Use Artes
o================o
[TB_008] Artes
o================o
Artes are learn-able through leveling. One character can have 4 artes equipped
at a time. Remember that a character can only use equipped artes. Choose wisely
which skills you set.
It is recommended that you equip at least one healing spell for a support
character (e.g. First Aid or Nurse for Rubia).
There are 4 types of Artes:
1. Base Artes
Primarily consists of melee-based skills.
2. Master Artes
Passive skill.
Use in conjunction with Base Artes.
It combines or reuse 2 base artes.
Boost damage of 2nd arte by a little.
Uses more TP than Base Artes.
3. Arcane Artes
Passive skill.
Use in conjunction with Base Artes.
It combines or reuse 3 base artes.
3rd artes has a special animation.
Boost damage of 3rd arte by a lot.
Uses a lot of TP than Base Artes.
4. Spell Artes
It includes healing, buff, elemental and status recovery spells.
It includes healing, buff, elemental and status recovery spells.
o=====================o
[TB_009] Affinity

There are 7 elements and 4 status effects in the game:
Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Darkness, Thunder
Poison, Paralysis, Stone, Seal
Fire is strong against Water.
Water is strong against Fire.
Wind is strong against Earth.
Earth is strong against Wind.
Light is strong against Darkness.
Darkness is strong against Light.
Thunder is neutral.
You can view each monster's resistance by viewing the Monster Book in Items >

Circle means slightly weak against.
Double Circle means weak against.
o========================o
[TB_010] Status Effect
o========================o
There are 5 status effects in the game:
1. Poison
Drains HP from the afflicted for the duration of its effect.
Remains for a limited amount of time.
Status remains even after battle. Limited time is still applied.
2. Paralysis
Prevents afflicted from initiating combo.
This limits normal attacks to 1-hit.
Master and Arcane Artes are still usable.
Remains for a limited amount of time.
Doesn't remain after battle.
3. Stone
Prevents afflicted from moving, attacking and using artes/spells.
Still takes damage.
Remains for an unlimited amount of time.
Doesn't remain after battle.
4. Seal
Prevents afflicted from using artes.
Remains for a limited amount of time.
Doesn't remain after battle.
5. KO
Prevents afflicted from participating in battle.
Same as stone except it stays even after battle.
o===========================o
[TB_011] Day-Night System
o===========================o
Once on you're on the 'Field' (i.e. world map), there would be a strange
mechanism beside the map and compass. I'll call it "Astrolabe".
Basically it separates "midday" and "night". A "half day" is counted whenever
the sun/moon symbol that moves clockwise hits the opposite end starting from
the left.
Difference between midday and night:
____________________________________
1. There are different enemies during midday or night. This applies to dungeons
and of course the field. If you can't meet the listed field enemies in the
walkthrough, try shifting to other one.
2. There are 4 ways to shift the day: events, using tent, staying in an inn,
and staying on the field. Take note that using an inn will always turn it
to midday.
3. During the night, you have a chance to find 'Field Items' that "looks like a
savepoint" but instead has a rising aura around it. Be warned that field
items disappear once the astrolabe turned midday.
4. Few story-ridden events require either midday or night to proceed.
5. Some town loots can only be looted during either midday or night. This is
due to some NPC blocking the loots.
6. The astrolabe stops once you're step inside a town or dungeon.
o===============================o
[TB_012] Weapon Strengthening
o===============================o
Weapon strengthening boosts your weapons attribute (i.e. ATK power). There is,
however, a rule set. I'll start by briefing.
1. You need "Artiface" to strengthen weapons. Stuffs like shards, powders,
stones, mousses, and the likes are all artiface.
2. There are 2 types of artiface namely Elemental and Status. Each element and
status effects has an equivalent artiface. Below is a sample list of
low-level artifaces.
Artiface Affinity Strengthening Power
======== -------- -------------------
Red Shard Fire Level 1
Blue Shard Water Level 1
Green Shard Wind Level 1
Yellow Shard Earth Level 1
Black Shard Darkness Level 1
White Shard Light Level 1
Purple Shard Thunder Level 1
Poison Powder Poison Level 1
Paralysis Powder Paralysis Level 1
Stone Powder Stone Level 1
Seal Powder Seal Level 1
3. First and foremost, the weapon must be completely clean to add a new
attribute.
4. Second, you can add a total of 1 element and 1 status attribute per weapon.
Once added, you cannot change from one element/status attribute to another
element/status. For example, if I upgraded a weapon with Fire Shard and
Poison Powder, granting it Fire/Poison attributes, then it's impossible to
add either Water Shard or Stone Powder to change its current attributes.
5. Third and most important, you can only upgrade up to 5 times, both elemental
and status. Yes, you're reading it clear. You can view your current upgrade
via "Game Menu > Status". See these 5 boxes beside the 1st accessory slot?
These boxes shows what your weapon's upgrade level is currently at.
6. Elemental attribute adds a prefix on the weapon. Likewise, status adds a
suffix. Using Fire Shard and Poison Powder on a Steel Sword will rename it
to "Red Steel Sword Asp".
7. Awakening. There are 5 levels of awakening and you must reach certain
points to awaken a weapon. Higher level means more damage and additional
elemental damage.
1st awakening, needed points = 1
2nd awakening, needed points = 5
3rd awakening, needed points = 9
4th awakening, needed points = 16
5th awakening, needed points = 20
Once you reach 20, you can no longer upgrade the weapon.
8. Each artiface has an assigned point.
Elemental Artiface
------------------
Shard point +1
Stone point +2
Crystal point +4
Jewel point +16
Status Artiface
---------------
Powders point +1
Mousses point +2
Jellies point +4
For example:
Using 1 Green Shard on Broadsword will awaken it to Green Broadsword.
Adding 2 Green Stones will awaken it to Wind Broadsword.
Adding another 2 Green Stones will awaken it to Gale Broadsword.
9. There are also weapons that, when awakened, will transform to a completely
new weapons. For example, a 4th awakened Baron Sword strengthened by Fire
artiface will transform to a Dragon Tooth. Please be mindful that either
elemental/status artiface can further strengthen a once transformed weapon
nor a Rune Bottle can revert it back to its previous form.
10. Using an item called Rune Bottle can revert a weapon back to its clean
state. However, used artiface will not be returned.
11. That's everything to it. Just remember that you can only use 5 artifaces on
a weapon regardless whether it's elemental or status.
o=========================o
[TB_013] Preparing Food
o=========================o
You can prepare food by going to Items > Cooking > Recipe and by selecting
"Prepare". You will be brought to a mini-game where you need to achieve a
certain number of actions with a time limit that depends on each recipe. There
would be a "red circle" as soon as the game start, quickly grab it and start
doing the assigned action for a number of times. There are 3 variations:
1. Slice up and down
2. Slice left and right
3. Make circles
You lose the ingredients if you failed to finish the challenge within the
allotted time.
Take note that there are 25 recipes in the main game by looting and 16 recipes
you can get by mixing food ingredients. To mix, go to Items > Cooking > Foods
and choose the ingredients you want by picking "Select" prompt. This will
highlight all the ingredients you've chosen. To end selecting, simply pick the
"Prepare" prompt for the last ingredient of your mix. You have to play the
mini-game and successfully cook the food to register it as a recipe.
Lastly, when you eat food, there's a certain number of battles before you can
eat again. Eating food applies to all your characters including the inactive
ones.
o==========================o
[TB_014] Character Stats

11. Luck
A hidden stat that determines drop rate and dropped item from a battle.
o=======================o
[TB_015] General Tips
o=======================o
1. Noble Thief - there are Noble Thieves scattered across all cities. They will
teach you the basic necessity to play the game.
2. Opening Game Menu - you can also open the game menu by quickly swiping or
(Alternative) slashing the stylus from top to bottom of the lower
screen. You can also close it by slashing upward on the
same screen. This is also applied to battle menu.
3. Running Away - in order to escape from the battle, reach the end of a lane
and continue going through it until you successfully escape.
However, you can't escape from event or boss battle.
4. Switching Targets - you can switch targets during battle by pressing R. You
can also hold R + any D-pad to switch target. Time stops
when doing this so use it wisely.
5. Save Often - you never know what's gonna happen, as such save frequently.
6. Compass - use the compass as well as the field map. I'll be using the
compass to tell direction on field map. It's easier this way.
7. Town Map - town map is not synchronized with what you can actually see on
the opposite screen. The perspective is slightly tilted. It's
confusing at start but not if you got used to it. Don't worry
I'll stick to the actual directions, as is, in the walkthrough.
8. Map Colored Symbols - Red Circle is an Item/Food Shop.
Green Square is an Inn.
Yellow Triangle is Weapon/Armor Shop.
9. TP Recovery - after each battle your party will recover TP. It depends on
what digit your max TP have on "tens place and onwards". For
example, having max TP of 78 will give you 7 TP after the
battle. Likewise, if you have 184 max TP, then you will gain
18 TP.
10. Examining Items - the game has a poor hit box when examining items inside
the city. If you can't get the items mentioned in the
walkthrough, simply examine them at various angles and/or
put some distance.
11. Skits - it's when your party camps during your journey on the field or when
you use Tent. It's a simply conversation between the characters
related to the progress you've made in the story. You can get rare
items and titles by camping before/after an event and before/after
entering towns.
12. Switching Lead - you can switch lead by pressing the 'SELECT' button during
non-battle instances like town or when you're walking on
the field.
13. Inventory Limit - you can only carry 35 weapons and 15 copies of any item
at a time. You can't collect all weapons without selling
some of it. I suggest you sell weapons you can readily
buy at weapons shops and keep all rare weapons that you
can only get once. This includes their default weapons
like Beginner's Rod. Luckily, this limit doesn't apply to
armors and accessories.
14. Field Loots - field loots are items only visible during the night. This
applies to field (of course) as well as dungeons. Take note
that you can still examine and get the field item without
seeing it; however, this is not recommended for first time
players.

Before anything else, I recommend that you set the difficulty to 'Hard'. This
is necessary to obtain a 'Title' as early as possible. If you're having a hard
time, please feel free to revert to 'Normal' difficulty anytime.
Go back inside the house. Check the red painting on the wall for [300g]. Go
outside and enter the house next to the right. Examine the cupboard for a
[Lemon Gel] and the open large vase for [Flare Bottle]. Next, go to the red dot
on the map to enter the Item Shop. Check the large chest for [Red Shard], left
side of the cupboard for [Orange Gel], the small chest on the counter for
[Hard Bottle], and large barrel for an [Apple Gel]. Go outside and go northwest
until you reach the church and enter.
Exit the church and make your way to the well. Scarlet will talk to you.
Continue going southeast for another cutscene.
You obtain [Patient]. There's an [Apple Gel] on the bookshelf, [Sage] on the
painting and [Purple Shard] on the two small chest. Exit and check the
candlestick northeast for an [Elixir]. You will notice a rotating sprite that
looks like a portal. That's a savepoint. Save the game and follow the way
outside for your first battle.
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Spot Kline x1
HP : ????
Artes : Dark Force
Drops : Apple Gel
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Dark Force is a Level 1 Darkness spell. You can easily
cancel the casting by spamming normal attacks and win
the battle.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
After the battle, head towards a little more to the southeast:
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Spot Kline x2
Artes : Dark Force
Drops : Apple Gel
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Rubia joins the party. Now just keep doing what you're
doing from the last battle. Use Apple Gel if you're HP
went red.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
There would be another battle immediately but you only have to watch it. After
the cutscene, you will be in the 'Field'. You can now fight 'Field Enemies'
while you're traveling across the field. You can also save the game here. There
is also the day-night system. For more information, visit [TB_011].
For now, go straight to the Abandoned Cabin which is easily viewable when you
rotate the camera to the west. You can't wander far around the field anyway.

o=============================================================================o
You have learned 'Demon Fang' Arte from the previous battles. From now on,
don't forget to equip Artes as they don't automatically get assigned to battle
keys.
Go inside the shack. Examine the large chest [300g], tool shelf [Tent] and
haystack [Poison Ward]. There's an item merchant outside. Noble Thief 1 and
Noble 2 will teach you the basics of the game. I've also created one which is
more detailed. Please read it by going to this section - [TB_000]. Otherwise,
go to Fern and enter the church.
After the cutscene, talk to Mr. and Mrs. Natwick separately. Then head to the
field for another...
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Warrior Priest x2
Artes : None
Drops : Lemon Gel
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Same strategy from the last fight. Just keep attacking
and test out your first Arte. Use an Apple Gel when
you're HP starts to dwindle.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Enter the cabin again for a cutscene. Go to back again to Fern and Scarlet will
give you [Orange Gel] and [Tent]. We're now free from the loophole. Continue
going south until Caius gives some hint about 'Camp Skit' or simply 'Skit'.
Continue following the road until you reach a hard to miss treasure chest
containing [Life Bottle]. Enter Nals.

Loots: Elixir, Orange Gel, Flare Bottle, Rice Omelet Recipe, Melange Gel, 500g,
Life Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Clock Mark, Dried Fish
Titles: Not The Father, Vengeful
Field Loots: Magic Lens
Field Enemies: Polwigle, Wolf, Bat, Thief
o=============================================================================o
First of all head to the statue at the middle of the town, then head northwest
to find Rubia. Caius gains [Not The Father] tile and Rubia gains [Vengeful]
title. Then head to the house marked by a "green square" symbol just north of
the statue. If you'd entered Nals during the night, sleep at the inn. Otherwise
talk to the item shopkeeper to receive an [Rice Omelet Recipe]. The light-green
vegetable to your right has a [Melange Gel] and dark-green vegetable for
[Panacea Bottle]. Enter the room beside the innkeeper. The chests contain a
[Life Bottle] and [500g]. The vase on the table has a [Clock Mark]. You can
talk with Noble Thief 3 here and learn some stuff.
Now go to armor shop marked by a "yellow triangle". Check the vertically sorted
stack of weapons for [Flare Bottle]. Buy new equipments. Noble Thief 4 is also
staying here. Exit the house and talk to the old man Yumas standing nearby to
begin "Delivering Dried Fish" side-quest. You're given the task to deliver it
to a certain man named Rhein in Leda. Talk to the man at the port, well, just
in case...
Now enter the house next to the entrance. Check right cupboard near the bed to
get an [Elixir] and the shelf with plate wares [Orange Gel]. Talk to the old
woman 3 times and then exit.
Once you're ready to continue the story, step to the field and continue walking
until you reach Fern. From here on, keep facing north and stick to the right
mountainside while moving north. You will reach an elevated land with a small
forest at the end. During night you can find a [Magic Lens] here. There are no
other items on the surrounding area so just head north and enter Black Forest.

The enemies here are weak against fire. If you still haven't tried to weapon
strengthening [TB_012], then now is the time to do so.
From here on, I would stick only to NE , NW, SE and SW for the directions. I'll
issue a new direction whenever there's a change in direction, or when there's a
new turn or the path forks.
At the fork, SE [Poison Ward], NW, NW, NE, SE.

Tilkis and Forest joins the fight. Nothing worth to
mention so just do the usual strategy.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Now is a good time to learn about 'Formation' [TB_005], 'Members' [TB_006] and
'Strategy' [TB_007]. I suggest that you change the party's target tactic into
"Same Enemy".
Take note that it's possible to get the [Combo Master] title right now by
chaining 30 combos with Caius-Tilkis-Forest lineup with the right timing. It
gives HP +40 and Attack +40. If you can't achieve that then at least go for
[Comboist] title that grants HP +20 and Attack +20 for 20 combo.
Other than that, I suggest you to swap in Rubia for healing purposes and since
Fire Ball does 300+ damage to the monsters in this dungeon.
After the battle, NE, NE, SE [Mumei Blade] and a savepoint savepoint nearby.
Exit the area, SW, SE, cutscene [Eleusis' Key] which unlocks the "DS Wireless
Play" in Title Screen, SE, NE, NW, SW, NW, NE [Solid Soul], NE, SE, SE, SW, SE.
Inside this room, go southeast to get a [Treat]. Remember that during midday
these kinds of items are invisible even in dungeons. West from it, there's an
[Attack Symbol].
Exit the area then NW, NE, NW, NE. The exit is here, but before that make sure
you've fought a Treant and got hold of a [Black Mushroom]. Treant also drops an
extremely rare [Technical Ring] that boosts drop rate by 100%. Now that is
something worth to waster hours for. If you're up for the challenge, then use
a [Dark Bottle] (Skeletons occasionally drops it) and start Treant grinding.
Once you're done or you want to do it later, exit.
Tilkis gained [Westerner] title. Within your sight will be Leda. Enter the
city.

Caius obtains a new title [Fake Son], Rubia [Darling Sister], Tilkis [Dear
Brother] and Forest [Pops?]. Rubia and Tilkis will leave the party. While they
are gone, enter the nearest house to your left.
Examine the large chest for a [Talisman] and the green/blue dresses on display
for a [Blue Shard]. Buy new weapons for the party or talk to Noble Thief 6.
Enter the Inn. Nothing worth here except Noble Thief 5. Go up the second floor.
There's a [Poison Powder] inside the large vase. The room next door has a lamp
shade that contains [Orange Gel] and [1000g] on the painting.
Go to the Item Shop. There's a [Stone Powder] at the wall on the south corner.
The shopkeeper will give you [Yakisoba Recipe] and [Oden Recipe] if you talk to
him twice.
From the terrace outside, enter the church. The corner behind the first pew to
the right has a [Warrior Symbol]. The altar has an [Elixir]. Exit and talk to
the man - Rhein nearby. You will receive [1000g] and [Pineapple Gel] for the
successful delivery. He'll also ask about a special mushroom. If you're
following me, you'll have a [Black Mushroom] at your disposal. Talk to him and
choose "Yes" to start the "Black Mushroom" side-quest. Give him the item this
time and you receive [1500g], [Rebirth Doll], [Fried Rice Recipe] and
[Ingredient Master] title. Yes! That's a lot of items in one go.
Enter the next door. Check the open jar [Saffron], second chair from the left
[Dark Bottle] and yellow shelf [Tent]. We almost got everything so go back to
the Inn and rest for the night.
Now onto getting all the items. Go upstairs and enter the room next to the
large vase. Now that the annoying girl is gone, examine the chest for [Life
Bottle]. Go back to the house next to Rhein. Examine the plate on the table
where the mother used to stand to obtain [Melange Gel] and the fire place for
[250g].
Time to get to Janna. Leave via the main exit (where you enter). Okay this area
is not as large as you think. Go down the mountain cliff. Once you're on the
base, keep going north until you see an road getting elevated. At this point,
turn left and follow the impassable forest's curve going north. There would be
a treasure chest containing a [Rune Bottle] at the dead-end. Go back to the
elevated road earlier.
It becomes night after camp skit. From here on just follow the path until you
reach a cemented path. There would be a fork here. Follow the un-cemented road.
If it's still night, you should see a [Mental Ring] here. That's it. There's
no other field loots around. Go straight to Janna as you wish.

Enter the first weapon shop. The box with bronze armories has an [Agate] and
the barrel with weapons with a [Green Stone]. Don't upgrade your stuffs just
yet 'cause the second armory shop has better items to boot. Enter the Inn. Move
to the 2nd floor. There's [2000g] inside the flower vase. There's a savepoint
next room. Talk to the innkeeper downstairs.
Continue northeast for another cutscene. Now go inside the item shop. Check the
displayed cheese right above the chimney for a [Paralysis Powder]. Talk to the
Grocer twice to obtain [Sandwich Recipe] and [Pizza Recipe]. Upgrade your
equipment at weapon shop 2. Afterwards, go to the Cathedral. It's the area
protruding northwest on the map.
Once your inside the arced hallway, check the 2nd wall to the left to gain an
[Elixir]. The wall next to last candlestick (the one to the left side) contains
a [Red Rosemary]. There's also a [Rune Bottle] on a corner just east of the
prop door. Just continue for another cutscene. Then head out and talk to the
guards. Then go to the port which is due east on the map. Then head to the inn.
</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
After the cutscene, you'll be outside the city. Just use a tent to rest until
nightfall then enter the city. Before heading to the port, go back to the item
shop, check between the 2 small pots of plant to get a [Seal Ward].
Arria joins your party as you enter the port area. After the dialogue, you'll
be inside the Janna Sewer.

Skip the weapon shop and go to the 2nd house. There's a [White Shard] on the
south side of the table and [Life Bottle] inside the jar near the broom. Talk
to Meena once then enter the 3rd house which is the item shop. Examine crimson
large chest for a [Seal Ward]. Talk twice to the shopkeeper for 2 recipes -
[Dark Hotpot Recipe] and [Sukiyaki Recipe]. Be sure to have at least 3 tents.
If not, then buy 3 here.
Skip the 4th house (or inn). Go south of the staircase and enter the storage
room. Grab a [Yellow Shard] on a red chest on your immediate right, [Red Stone]
on white open jars, and [1000g] on the other red chest.
There's also a man named Gene near the light tower east of the inn that buys
Rhino Horn from Rhinossus for 1000g each. Enter the inn after you're done
looting the items.
From now on, Barkeeper from various towns will deliver a message once you've
achieved a particular event or challenge. After defeating Rommy, you should
have received [ToSeSnvZud]. This can be exchanged for [Stand Firm] in the
Title Screen. Also, if you've have reached 256 battles in Hard Mode at this
moment, then you you should've obtained [Berserker] title which grants +30 to
all stats. You shall also receive another password [upSeSnvZud]. Exchange it
for [7650g]. For more information about passwords, please refer to [EP_010].
Go upstairs. Stay for the night (if you want all loots). Then check the drawer
for a [Poison Mousse] and [Apple Gel] on a large flower vase. Enter the room
beside the flower vase, examine the boxes on north corner for [Pineapple Gel],
[Rosemary] on the table and [Red Sage] on the drawer beside the south bed.
Enter the other room. There's a [Rebirth Doll] on the drawer beside the fire
place and [Hit Bottle] on a basket between the beds.
Our goal now is to head north but before that there are a number of things to
be done. Do NOT cross the 1st bridge north before I say so.
1. After exiting Yaska, use tent twice to gain [Pork Miso Soup Recipe]. If the
above scenes didn't show up, then go to the area just BEFORE bridge and then
use the tent two times. Both the 1st camp skit that enables 2 passwords and
the recipe on the 2nd camp skit are missable.
2. Farm at least x1 Red Rhino Horn and x10 Rhino Horns. Both horns are drops
from a Rhinossus (the red one being rare). The red horn is more commonly
drop by Elephossus.
Rhinossus can be found before the 1st north bridge, and the area next to it.
Elephossus can be found in the large area between Northgate and Eastgate.
This is necessary to activate a quest later with Gene near the end of the
game. Your time limit to give him horns before revisiting Janna. That's
after killing Albert in Laurus.
Failing means you won't activate "Gene's Request" side-quest and its reward.
3. You can also get [Battle Lover] and [Battle Hater] titles by using Dark
Bottle and Holy Bottle 20 times each, respectively. Hopefully, you have
enough money by trading Rhino Horns with Gene.
The fastest way to do this is to buy 15 of each, then use them alternately.
There's no need to run around and waste 2 minutes waiting one bottle to wear
off. You can't use Dark Bottle twice in a row but alternating it with Holy
Bottle works.
Buy another 5 of each (so that makes 20 each) and repeat the process.
Sleep in the inn afterwards to gain them.
4. There are also Magic Lens in Yaska. Just saying.
After making sure you've camped twice, cross the bridge to fight...
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Albert
Artes : Cerberus Fang, Artemis Dance
HP : 21200 (Normal), 10600 (Hard)
Drops : Colada
o-------------------------------------------------------o
He improved a little. He now has Cerberus Fang and
Artemis Dance in his skill set. They hold the same name
as Tilki's artes but they're slightly different.
Chain him with combos. He'll use arte once there is an
opening so defend after each time you successfully land
your attacks.
The HP, as you can see, is correct. It's not a typo or
an error.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
There's a treasure chest containing [Warrior Symbol] northwest-north from where
you're standing right now. Just hug the impassable forest while going north.
It's directly southeast of the bridge but it's above the cliff.
There's also a [Vital Ring] inside the walls of a ruin west of the 2nd bridge.
Cross the bridge after obtaining it. We're gonna be in a new region with new
enemies, of course.
Directly east from the bridge there's a treasure chest containing [Treat].
Approaching Northgate will play a cutscene. The entrance is the small one.

o=============================================================================o
You can find an [Attack Symbol] on the stack of 2 boxes. The shopkeeper gives
you [Beef Stew Recipe] and [Spaghetti Burger Recipe]. Enter the room to the
right. There's a [Green Shard] inside the jars, [Elixir] on the wall opposite
to the first guard you'll see, and [Ruby] on a blind spot northwest of second
guard. There's also a savepoint here. Return to the previous room and head
upstairs. The large chest found on the west corner contains [Stone Mousse],
green basket with assorted plates [Tent] and rag (whatever it is) on top of the
table north [Black Shard]. Talk to the man in green to progress the story. You
can also upgrade your weapons and armors here.
Enter the next room. Examine the stool between two beds at the northwest end
for [Melange Gel], the stool on the opposite end for [Magic Lens] and the large
brown chest for [1500g].Talk to Father Norton and receive the "Evangelist"
side-quest. Your need to deliver [Corum's Scriptures] to Sir Corum in Eastgate.
Once you're finished, exit this area.
Immediately use a tent and re-enter Northgate. Talk to the barkeeper to receive
[upSeSnvZud]. Exchange it for a [Pow Hammer], weapon for Forest.
Now is the time to Eastgate which is simply all the way to the east. Directly
north of Eastgate is a [Mystic Symbol] which effectively cuts spell cast time
by 1/3. Go near the Eastgate entrance to...

This battle is one-sided. Have fun using Beast Blow.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Now that you have two Mystic Symbols, split them among Rubia and Arria since
its effect doesn't stack. I almost forgot that Elephossus in this area can drop
[Icicle Plate]. Also, don't forget to reassembled your party.

Apple Gel, 3000g, Baked Fish Recipe, Borscht Recipe
Titles: Missionary
Field Enemies: Blue Griffin, Deathseeker, Earthworm, Merfish, Charge Tortoise,
Gremlin, Crabs, Poltergeist, Hatchet Beak
o=============================================================================o
Once you're inside, examine the wooden gate for an [Elixir]. Talk to the guard
on the right side to obtain [Bag of Gold] from Corum. Now you have to return to
Father Norton to receive the reward. But before that, enter the room southeast.
There's a [Red Stone] on the barrel and jar, [Blue Stone] on the 4 barrels, and
[Verbena] on the stack of boxes. Enter the next room. Examine the box covered
with cloth to receive [Opal], large chest before the staircase [Seal Mousse]
and [Derris Emblem] small chest on the counter. The guard here will open the
path to your destination but let's do that later.
For now head upstairs, examine the right barrel [Life Bottle] and middle table
for [Fruit Salad Recipe]. Apparently, it's named [Fruit Sandwich] in your
inventory instead of "Salad".
Enter the bedroom next. The column between 4 beds on the southeast side has
[1500g], group of white jars [Baked Fish Recipe] and lone box [Apple Gel].
Restock your magic lens too, if you must.
You can choose to continue the game and come back later or return to Northgate
now and receive the rewards. If you return now, you will receive [3000g], a
[Borscht Recipe] and the [Missionary] title. Either way and prepare for the new
area then exit through the northeast door.
Enemies here are weak to water so use it at your advantage. Deathseeker can
turn you to stone. The Blue Griffin can also drop a [Recovery Symbol]. Gremlins
can rarely drop [Spirit Armor] and [Splint Mail]. Charge Tortoise can rarely
drop [Black Onyx].
Head directly to Laurus, due south. After traveling a certain distance from the
Eastgate, Forest will teach Caius the Beast Transformation arte.

Field Enemies: Blue Griffin, Deathseeker, Earthworm, Merfish, Charge Tortoise,

Enter the item shop. The box on a corner contains [50g], the potted plant has
[Black Shard] and the 3 brown jars [Stone Powder]. Talk to the grocer twice
to obtain [Fruit Bowl Recipe] and [Curry and Rice Recipe].
Enter the inn and go inside the next room. There's a [Garnet] on the white
couch and [Life Bottle] inside the chest. Talking to Maya, the young girl, will
start the side-quest, "Maya's Sand Lily".
Do you see those 2 small patches that are closest to the sea east of Laurus?
There's a [Sand Lily] there specifically located between those 2 canyons. Talk
to her again and earn a [Heal Ring] and [Maya's Friend] title for the effort.
Enter the pub. There's a [Yellow Stone] on a stack of 4 barrels and a
[Blue Stone] on a stack of 4 brown jars. You can find Noble Thief 7 here.
Enter the weapon shop. Check the sword/spear display for a [Savory], armor
display for [Paralysis Powder] and [Lemon Gel] on the south corner. Upgrade
your weapons. Exit the shop.
Talk to the man on a corner near the port. This will trigger a short scene. As
you've inquired, the Leimorne is at the center of the desert. Before moving out
talk to Vector, the man in green pants near the lady in orange just beside the
town entrance. Upgrade and restock your items and then head there. You should
see a large ruin. Enter once you spotted it.

You can find a [Blue Talisman] on a corner beside the windows of a house. Enter
the house. You can find [Mabo Curry Recipe], [Glacial Eye] and [Yellow Stone]
on the 2 spaces between the 3 beds and between the last bed and the wall. Exit
the house and enter the ruins.
Ignore the stairs and enter the door northeast. There should be a series of
houses here. Enter the first one and examine the bed's southeast end for a
[Tent]. Examine the 2nd house's sealed door for [Bergamot]. There's nothing
inside the 3rd house. Return to the central ruins.
Take the northwest door this time. 1st house has a [White Spice] on the wall
directly northeast of the door. Exit. Before you enter the 2nd house, there's
a [Steak Recipe] on the wall just beside the door. Inside the 2nd house, there
is a [400g] and [Purple Stone] between on the spaces behind the beds. There's
also an [Elixir] at the middle of a wall northwest of a floor engraving across
the door. Return to the central ruins.
Take the southwest door. There's a hidden [White Stone] southwest of the third
lycanth you can see now. Enter the 1st house. [Apple Gel] between the beds.
[Savory] between the bed and the wall. 2nd house is empty so return to central
ruins again and go upstairs. Whichever side is fine.

after he started casting, you can see it miles away and
easily defend reducing its damage significantly.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
After the cutscene, Rubia obtains a new title [Troubled Girl]. Before leaving
the premise, go back to the library. The book on the floor near the study table
contains [Panacea Bottle]. From the table, there's a [Fluorite] on the books
scattered on the 2nd bookshelf from the left. The 1st bookshelf (the southwest
one) has a [Basement 20 Key] on its left side. There's nothing else to do here.
Head back to Eastgate. Once you step on the ramp...

Artes : Flame Lance, Megiddo Flame
HP : 30600 (Easy), 20400 (Normal), 10200 (Hard)
Drops : Emerald Ring, Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Kill the small fries first then Rommy. You can easily
counter her Fire spells with Ruby and heal when your HP
turns red. She'll start using Megiddo Flame after her
HP reached 8,000. It's a linear spell so it can only
hit 1 person at a time since your melees are moving
around. Her normal attacks also causes knockback.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
After the cutscene, Forest obtains [Man With No Home] title. Our current
destination is Algum, the red dot north of the desert. Halfway through there
will be a scene between Caius and Rubia which earn them [Sorta Cool] and
[Honest Heart] title respectively.
I'd also like to say that using a Rune Bottle on an [Emerald Ring] transforms
it to a [Faerie Ring] which halves TP usage of all artes. Likewise, the item
[Elven Boots] will transform to [Jet Boots] which increases battle speed
movement by 50%. Good for melee AI who runs back and forth after attacking.

This is a snow dungeon as such monsters are weak against Fire. Forest will be a
good character here since you can get a fire-based weapon early. Okay, this
will be like the sewers. Don't forget that I would repeat a direction whenever
there's a turn/fork.

7000g, Crimson, Jade Eye, Azure Eye, Gold Ore
Passwords: ThSeSnvZud, TkSeSnvZud
Titles: Farewell to the Past
o=============================================================================o
After the cutscene, enter the armory shop. The shelf with two helmets has a
[Espiriso], red large chest [Life Bottle] and large red chest [Black Stone].
Upgrade your weapons if you must. During midday, speak to old lady Nuada. She
will asks you to find a book named "Nuada" back in the Leimorne's library.
Accept it to start "Nuada's Book" side-quest. Afterwards, return outside.
Enter the inn. Check the drawer beside the counter for a [Deluxe Pizza Recipe]
and wall beside the flower vase [Paralysis Mousse]. Enter the other room. The
1st bed has a [Blue Shard] on its northwest side, the wall between the 2 beds
at southeast side of the room [Stone Mousse], the drawer beside the solo bed
contains a [Seafood Salad Recipe], and a [500g] on the table.
Enter the item shop. The red chest contains an [Elixir]. The shop clerk this
time doesn't give you any recipe. The only notable thing is that the shop sells
Garnet and Aquamarine by 100g each. That's like giving it free. Be sure to buy
3 Garnets as it will help you later.
After the cutscene, we need to get back to Laurus then to Janna. You can't exit
right now through the "To Field" (it's a new area anyway) so we'll exit via the
Algum Forest. To exit back the Algum Forest, just go southeast ignoring all the
turns this time, then SW, SE.
Camp two times here BEFORE going to Laurus to achieve [Sharp Ears] title for
Forest. It's a missable title.
Head back to Leimorne. If you'd succeeded to get the camp skits before the
fight with Albert on the 1st north bridge and got the password. Then Vector
should be here. If not, he wouldn't be here until the final dungeon shows up.
He also had a different dialogue back in Laurus. If you did it, he should say
he found a treasure map in one of the houses; otherwise, he says he can't find
it or something along those lines. Nothing to fret either case.
Pay him 10000g to get the [Leimornean Tome] to start "Leimorne's Treasure"
side-quest. Follow the instructions and examine what's described below:
The rightmost petrified Leimornean, SE of central ruins [Crimson Eye]
The third from the leftmost, NW of central ruins [Jade Eye]
The lower one from the rightmost, NE of central ruins [Azure Eye]
Now go to the SW area, enter the rightmost house.
Examine the wall opposite of the door and place the gem in this order:
Azure, Jade, Crimson.
You will then receive a [Gold Ore] and a password [TkSeSnvZud]. Be sure to talk
to a barkeeper to actually receive the pass. You can also sell the Gold Ore
for 15,000g. It has no other function other than this.
Go inside the central ruins. Once
inside, head straight to the library. The item we are looking for is on the
northeastern most bookshelf. Examine it to receive [Nuada Book]. I suggest we
submit the quest later as she only gives you [7000g] for all the trouble.
After getting to Laurus...

After the fight, talk to Maya first in the inn then rest. Once you can move,
reform your party and head outside for your last battle against...
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Albert, Black Knights x2
Artes : Cerberus Fang, Artemis Dance, Hera Cross Blow
HP : 23000 (Normal), 11500 (Hard)

You start by warming up against Black Knights x4, then
another fight ensue with Albert and two Black Knights.
He's the same as the last time but he got a new arte -
Hera Cross Blow, an arte that attack in a circular way
and got a decent range. Nothing to fret. Just guard then
attack and leave the healing to your support.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
After the fight, Arria gains [Farewell to the Past] title. Talk to the barkeep
now and receive [ThSeSnvZud] which you can exchange for a [Technical Ring].
This is an awesome item that increases drop rate by 100%. Good for hunting rare
item drops by monsters. Well...just a minor boost though.
Be sure to camp once before revisiting Janna to see a scene about Arria and
Tilkis. I'm not sure if this is a prerequisite of the password I'm gonna tell
later, but better be safe than sorry.
You can now travel between Nals, Yaska, Janna and Laurus using the port for
500g. If you want to continue the story, go straight to Janna and skip the
next section and instead read [WT_016].

Passwords: TpQeSnvZud
Titles: Lost Child Locator, Single-Strike Swordsman, Cupid
o=============================================================================o
If you miss any items/side-quests, now is the best time to gather them all.
Board the ship to Nals and talk to Yumas to receive [Sashimi Recipe]. Then head
to Fern and talk to Scarlet, the woman with green skirt beside the well. She
asks you to find Syme. Head to Black Forest, north. There's a man near the
savepoint. Talk to him. Then head back all the way to Nals. Talk to the ticket
vendor. Go outside and go to the lone boat (where you meet Rubia earlier in the
game). Talk to Nicholas. Board the ship to Janna. Go the sewers and fight Spot
Kline x3. After saving Syme you will receive [Red Jewel], [Lost Child Locater]
title and [TpQeSnvZud] password. Exchange it for a [White Jewel]. Talking to
Scarlet back in Fern will net you [Blue Crystal Rod]. Also, she will give you
free rest starting now.
*Do NOT use or sell the [Red Jewel]. This is very important for later use.
You can also gain [Single-Strike Swordsman] title here by finishing a battle
under 5 seconds and Caius must be the last person to hit.
Board the ship to Yaska. Talk to Meena, the lady dressed in orange to receive
[Meena's letter]. You must deliver this to Joshua in Eastgate. Next, board the
ship to Laurus. Go to Eastgate, and talk to Joshua, the knight beside Corum.
Agree to help in sweeping Spots inside the Eastgate. After you accept, head
southeast and fight Spot Grande x3. Go upstairs and fight Spot Dia x2. Talk to
Joshua again to receive [Knight Sword], [2500g] and [Joshua's Letter]. Deliver
the letter to Meena back in Yaska to receive [2000g], [Trickster] and a recipe,
[Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe]. Talking to Joshua again will give you [Cupid]
title.
Go back to Yaska again. Trade at least x1 Red Rhino Horn and x5 Rhino Horns or
more with Gene (x10 Rhino Horns to be safe). This is necessary for a quest with
him to activate later near the end of the game. This is your last chance. You
should be doing this earlier when the story is still between Yaska and
Northgate.
Don't discard the Knight Sword since it's one of a kind item. You can turn it
to Destroyer by using Black artifice until the 3rd awakening. But by the time
you can get Knight Sword, there are already better weapons like Baselard and
Durandal available.
We have nothing else to do so head to Janna by boarding the ship.

revive them again and again. Focus fire the Pope and use
healing items whenever the AI fails to heals a low HP
character.
"Nurse" is a must in this battle. Despair hurts the most,
300-400 and knocks back all your characters. Equipping
one of characters with Amethyst halves the Despair's
damage.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Exit the cathedral and you will be exposed with a series of Spot extermination.

Our goal is to reach Adelhabith. There's 2 ways to do that. One is to go via
Northgate then Bognam, and the other one is through Sansa then the field going
west.
I recommend the Northgate path since there's a side-quest there. To start, use
tent twice to get [From the Snow Country] title for Arria. Camp once more to
see a skit about the pope. Ride the boat to Yaska and then walk till you reach
Northgate. Inside Northgate, talk to Iyar to start "Finding Zelan" side-quest.
Then enter the door next to the item merchant.

Same tactic with Ogre Chief. Don't try to guard its
attack without a Stand Firm accessory or you'll be sent
flying backwards.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
If you'd taken Bognam path, you'll fight Ogre Champion near the exit instead of
Algum. The one at Algum is slightly stronger than here. There's a difference of
1000 HP in hard mode, if I'm not mistaken. You only fight this monster once.
From here continue SW [Red Savory] (hidden), NE, SE (Exit). Before exiting
the dungeon, return to Iyar to get your reward [5000g] and talk to Zelan for
the [Guardian of the North] title.
Northeast of Bognam Forest is a [Scintilla] which is a weapon for spellcasters.
Travel northwest by following the snow trail. Southwest of the village, you can
find [Innovator], second best weapon for Forest.
Camp once to see a skit about Caius and Forest. Afterwards, enter Adelhabith.

Angel Feather, White Stone, Aquamarine, Purple Shard, Pineapple Gel,
Poison Powder, 5000g
Titles: Sponsor
Field Items: Rune Ore
o=============================================================================o
Talk to the woman in front to a short conversation. Enter the weapon shop which
is just beside the woman. There's [150g] on the barrel just beside the front
door, [Sardonyx] on the south wall, and [Red Shard] on the right corner of the
counter. Upgrade your weapons here then exit.
Skip the house to left and instead go the item shop. There's a [Green Stone]
on the basket of eggs, [Hour Glass] on two jars at the corner. Talk twice to
the shopkeeper to gain [Cutlet Rice Bowl Recipe] and [Rolled Cabbage Recipe].
The basket of eggs will be blocked by a lady during the day.
Enter the inn. The box beside the old man in green coat contains [Topaz]. If
you've been following my guide until then, then you're supposed to get the
[TpReSnvZud] password by talking to the barkeeper here. I'm not sure about the
exact requisites but here is what I think are notable:
1. Camp skit twice before fighting Albert for the 2nd time at the first bridge
north of Yaska. Twice just to be safe.
2. Camp skit after killing Albert. This should be a scene between Arria and
Tilkis.
3. Choose Northgate path instead of Sansa path. This one is a little bit far-
fetch though.
4. If you've seen Vector in Leimorne just after your first visit in Sansa, then
most likely you can obtain this password. This is the major difference I've
found out after my first playthrough than my current one.
5. Most likely it's only 1 and 2. Well, if you've been following my guide then
there shouldn't be any problem.
Go upstairs. The chest contains a [Bergamot], the desk between two beds has
[Angel Feather], right side of the bed beside a large vase [White Stone] and
two large vase [Aquamarine]. If you talk to the old man in green coat and exit
the shop, then you'll see a very short scene.
Now enter the house I told you to ignore. There's a [Tent] on the basin beside
the cabinet, [Derris Emblem] on the table, [Purple Shard] on the lamp shade and
[Pineapple Gel] on the south side of the bed. Afterwards, talk to another old
man in green coat - Coubert.
Rubia learns [Sacred Shine] arte and Arria [Tempest] arte. You'll be outside
once you gain control. Go back inside and examine where Coubert used to stand
to obtain [Poison Powder].
Adelhabith port is now available for traveling.
Before going to Mount Arel, let's have a short stop in Yaska. If you've been
trading Rhino Horn with Gene then he'll request a new material - [Rune Ore].
This will start [Gene's Request] side-quest. To find the the Rune Ore, board
the ship to Laurus then go to the field. During night, go to the middle of the
south most area on the map. You should see a field item above an elevated area.
Just circle around to obtain [Rune Ore]. Talk back to Gene. Then talk to Waldo
in Adelhabith. He's ask you to bring him a [Red Jewel]. If you still have it,
which you should, talk again to Waldo to receive [5000g]. If not, then keep
fighting "Night Owl x2 and Castle Golem" in Mount Arel. I got a [Red Jewel]
back then.
Now let's continue with the story and come back later. Board the ship to Laurus
and proceed to Eastgate. Midway, there would be a skit and Tilkis will obtain
[Sponsor] title. Two more skits are coming up when you're near Mount Arel. In
case you're confused where exactly is it, it is between the East and Northgate
to the north on the map. There's a narrow inlet, north of the map, surrounded
by a mountain-like drawing. That's where it is.
This is the last dungeon. Restock healing items and upgrade your weapons and
armors before setting in. I suggest you buy 15 Panacea Bottle as you will be
using it a lot later.
o=============================================================================o
[WT_020] Mount Arel
o=============================================================================o
Loots: Krona's Symbol, Soul Eater, Emerald Ring, Cavalier
Enemies: Castle Golem, Night Owl, Spot Grande, Dressing Table, Mirror Goyle,
Royal Knight
o=============================================================================o
This is the last dungeon. Follow the path until the path splits. Go northwest
and open the treasure chest for [Krona's Symbol]. Now continue going above,
equipped the 3 Garnets to each player or Diamond and be ready for a
consecutive boss battle against...
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Rommy, Spot Grande x2
Artes : Despair, Meteor Storm, Megiddo Flame
HP : 26500 (Normal), 13250 (Hard)
Drops : EX Key, Black Crystal
o-------------------------------------------------------o
If you've followed my guide until now, her Meteor
Storm's damage should be halved down to 200~ damage
instead of 400-500. She'll spam it throughout the fight
and occasionally use Despair, and Megiddo Flame which
barely hurts after her HP reaches 8000.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Spot Rommy
Artes : Despair, Meteor Storm
HP : 29500 (Normal), 14750 (Hard)
Drops : All-Divide
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Well, this fight is easier than the first. She'll spam
Despair this time that does around 300 damage.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
The EX Key from Rommy will open the optional dungeon. We'll tackle that later.
In addition, Royal Knights near the top of mountain drops [Effulgent], a better
weapon than Soul Eater.
Once you can move, move a little northeast. There's a chest southeast that
contains [Soul Eater]. Then continue going up. Ignore all the 3 forks you'll
see. If you did, you'll enter a screen where an [Emerald Ring] is inside a
treasure chest. Return to the last fork you saw and follow its path. Ignore
the fork you'll see (leads to final area) and continue southeast. There's a
[Cavalier] inside a treasure at the end of the path. Now return to the last
fork you saw and follow where it leads. Continue going northeast.
*** WARNING!!! ***
You'll see a large castle and a savepoint northwest of the entrance.
SAVE YOUR GAME! There no turning back now. Continuing will PERMANENTLY END the
game. If you still have any unfinished business, then exit the mountain. There
is also the optional dungeon covered in [WT_020] and some titles and items you
haven't yet find .

o-----------------------------------------------o
Finally, the very first "hard" battle you'll
have. The most versatile weapon he has in his
repertoire is Chaotic Gate which can afflict
you with Poison/Paralysis/Stone/Seal and also
knocks back the character it hits. It's melee
range and barely damage (100~) but what makes
this battle hard is his ability to teleport
anywhere. He can and will screw up your mage.
He will spam this throughout the battle so ready
your Panacea Bottle/"Recover" spell.
I recommend that you equip Krona's Symbol to
your mage which nullifies all status effects
and Mystic Symbol to cut spell casting time.
For the melees, Stone Ward/Recovery Symbol is
recommended. For the other accessory slot, you</pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
can equip Elven Boots/Jet Boots since he will
be telepoting frequently.
Use your most heavy hitting arte. Don't mind
your TP. Use TP recovery items instead. Also,
whenever necessary, use Life Bottle, Lemon Gel,
Panacea Bottle (for seal/stone) and don't
wait for your mage to heal a low HP ally. Use
your whole party in using recovery items rather
than one person.
This is the final boss. Good luck beating him.
-----------------------------------------------
Congratulations on beating the game!!! Sadly there isn't a New Game+ feature.
o=============================================================================o
[WT_021] EX Dungeon
o=============================================================================o
Titles: Saw It Through
o=============================================================================o
Stock up healing and status recovery items. Save your game.
After getting the last item in Mount Arel and before fighting the final boss,
board the ship back to Laurus and enter Leimorne again. This time, with the
EX Key you got from Rommy, examine the bluish door at the middle of central
ruins. Once you're ready, choose 'Enter'.
Welcome to EX Dungeon! A dungeon consists of 30 floors. Enemies are also the
same enemies you've met before but they've been beefed up. EXP, Gald and Items
dropped by monsters are also a "lot better".
Monsters with a main game counterpart (i.e. outside the EX Dungeon) will be
appended by 'EX' for clarity purposes. Monsters without one means that they
are exclusive resident of this dungeon.
The general rule of survival is to set your party to formation to "TP Restore"
and use low-level spells so they'll never run out of TP ever.
Lastly, you start with Basement 1 and Basement 2, Basement 3...until you reach
Basement 30.
Let's begin! Good luck!
o----------o
Basement 1

Boss: Castle Golem EX x3
Go down the stairs. Save your game here. There's a red portal southeast which
teleport you back to Leimorne central ruins. Note that you have to start from
the top again (Basement 1) if you choose to "Return".
Unlike the bosses in the main game, drops by bosses in this dungeon can be
random. As such, saving beforehand is a wise decision so you can reset when you
are unlucky on the dropped items. I also recommend you to equip a Technical
Ring for additional drop rate. You can only fight bosses once so...
*Take note that all the floor bosses in dungeon can only be fought ONCE so
go get their rare drops as much as you can.
When you're prepared, touch the black orb to initiate a floor boss fight.
o--------------------Battle Alert!----------------------o
Enemies : Castle Golem EX x3
Artes : None
HP : 15900 (Hard)
Drops : Miracle Gel, Spirit Robe
o-------------------------------------------------------o
Castle Golems are immune to all status effects. They are
weak against all spells, specially Wind so using Arria
is a good choice here. Using two spellcasters is a good
idea here as it will make the battle end fast.

is the best place to rack up some money, anyway.

Enemies : Gremlin EX x3

Acuteness
HP : 17200 (Hard), 17500 (Hard), 17800 (Hard)
Drops : Mental Ring, Heal Ring, Vital Ring,
Splint Mail, Force Cloak
o-------------------------------------------------------o
This is gonna be a long fight...or forever if you don't
spam arcane artes. Overall, they're not difficult and
they can barely damage you even with Black Hole/Ray but
they're just very tough to kill since they can use Nurse
and First Aid. With Deep Mist, your melee attacks are
easily guarded.
They're strong against all elemental attacks except
Light. As such, Rubia is better than Arria this time.
You can also try an all melee party. Switch to your
strongest non-elemental weapon. Then set to attack
"Different Enemy" so that the Gremlins wouldn't get a
chance to heal.
Spam your arcane arte once you've locked two Gremlins.
Don't mind your TP. Use Pineapple Gel whenever you run
out. Temporarily equipping your leading character with
Faerie Ring would greatly help.
o-------------------------------------------------------o
I've tried to get Force Cloak and Splint Mail at same time but I just couldn't.
Also their drops are separate from each other since (if you notice) they're all
different to one another.

This battle is funny because it turned out into a melee
war wherein spellcasters tried to bash each others. Two
of Lukius' companions will try to melee you despite
they can cast spells like Stone Blast.
This battle may take a while since Lukius favorite move
is "Defend".

Don't forget to obtain [Bloody Robe] from her. This is
Rubia's best armor.

[WT_022] Leftovers
o=============================================================================o
But wait, there's a still a lot of things you can do to "finalize" your game.
Check this out: [%C_000]
If you've followed my guide word by word, then you've gained all the town and
dungeon loots available. Here's a checklist of leftover things you can do:
1. Remaining Passwords
--\Clear the "Leimorne Treasure" Sidequest - [VbciudxmRa]
--\Obtain Gourmet Title by getting all 41 recipes - [VbeiudxmRa]
Check the Recipe List section for more details: [EP_007]
--\Obtain Rich Title - achieve 9,999,999 gald - [TpWeSnvZud]
Either you cheat it by using Action Replay codes or grind it. Your call.
For the AR code, check [EP_006] for more details.
--\Finish the EX dungeon (which you already did) - [TpdeSnvZud]
You will earn [Master of the Tubes] title which is kinda useless since
you already have [Saw It Through].
2. Remaining Tiles
--\Check this section for the remaining titles you don't have: [EP_006]
3. Get back to Waldo in Adelhabith and retrieve the [Rune Blade].
4. Get the remaining 16 recipes. Check here for more info [EP_007].
5. Finish "Leimorne's Treasure" Side-Quest. More info here [SQ_000].
---
That's it!!! That's everything! Thank for playing the game!!

Tip : The best way to do this is to cheat by using Action Replay.
The code to obtain max gald is [02283CF8 0098967F] without
the bracket.
If you don't want to cheat the money, write down or remember
how much gald you have, then visit the website below:
http://easycalculation.com/decimal-converter.php
and type your gald on "Insert Decimal Value Field". Copy the
"Hex" value. If the hex value isn't an 8 digit value, then
add zeros to the beginning of it. Then swap the resulting
value with the lower byte side of the code.
For example:
1. My current gald - 1,000,000
2. Go to the link above and enter 1000000 (without commas)
3. Hex value is - f4240
4. Since f4240 is 5 digits. I need to add 3 zeros in the
beginning of it.
5. So it becomes like this - 000f4240.
6. Then swap 000f4240 to 0098967F from the code earlier
02283CF8 0098967F
7. The final code to return your gald to 1,000,000 is
[02283CF8 000f4240] (without the bracket).

Side-Quest - [SQ_000]
[[===========================================================================]]
All these names are made-up though it makes referring and explaining them much
easier than not doing so.
1. Delivering Dried Fish
---------------------
Talk to Yumas at your first time in Nals to receive [Dried Fish]. Deliver
this to Rhein in Leda. Later, when you have access to ship, go back to Nals
to complete this side-quest.
2. Black Mushroom
--------------
During your first time at Black Forest dungeon, keep fighting random battles
until a Treant spawns. Beat it to receive a [Black Mushroom]. Continue to
Leda and talk to Rhein after giving him the Dried Fis to start the side-
quest. Talk to again to complete the side-quest.
I tried hunting Treants after getting the ship during the midday/night, but
not a single one appeared so there must be a event limit to get the black
mushroom. So try to get it as soon as you get inside Black Forest.
3. Evangelist
----------
Talk to Father Norton in Northgate to start the side-quest. Accept his terms
and deliver [Corum's Scriptures] to Corum in Eastgate. You will receive a
[Bag of Gold]. Return to Father Norton to complete this side-quest.
4. Maya's Sand Lily
----------------
Talk to Maya in Laurus. Go outside the town and head directly east of
Laurus. The [Sand Lily] is between the west side of two small patches,
nearest to seashore. Return to her and give her the flower to complete
this side-quest.
Take note that the Sand Lily will only appear once you've accepted Maya's
request.
5. Nuada's Book
------------
Talk to old lady Nuada in Sansa. She will ask you to retrieve a book inside
the Leimorne library. You can find the [Nuada Book] on the northeastern
most bookshelf. Return to her to finish the side-quest.
6. Leimorne's Treasure
-------------------
Talk once to Vector in your first visit at Laurus. Later on, you can find
him in front of the Leimorne central ruin entrance. Talk to him and play
10,000g to receive [Leimornean Tome]. This will mark the start of the side-
quest.
You will then receive a [Gold Ore].
You can sell the [Gold Ore] for 15,000g.
7. Lost Child Syme
---------------
As soon as you can board a ship, go back to Fern and talk to Scarlet. She
will ask you to look for Syme. First, go to Black Forest and talk to the
man near the savepoint. Then go to Nals and talk to the ship ticket vendor
inside the inn. Then talk to Nicholas near a stagnant boat (where you met
Rubia earlier in the game). Ride the ship to Janna. Go to the entrance of
the sewers and eliminate the spots. Go back to Fern and talk to Scarlet
to end this side-quest.
8. Messenger of Love
-----------------
As soon as you can board the ship, go back to Yaska and talk to Meena.
Accept her request to deliver [Meena's Letter] to Joshua in Eastgate. Go
to Eastgate and talk to Joshua. Eliminate two spots inside Eastgate and talk
again to Joshua to receive [Joshua's Letter]. Go back to Meena to deliver
the letter. Then go back again to Joshua to end this side-quest.
9. Finding Zelan
-------------
Talk to Iyar in Northgate during your journey to Adelhabith. He will ask
you to find Zelan in Bognam Forest. You can find Zelan exactly in the middle
of the area where you can find an Hourglass and Baron Sword. Defeat the
Dark Ogre and talk to Zelan and Iyar to finish this side-quest.
10. Gene's Request
--------------
Talk to Gene at Yaska. He will now trade money for each Rhino Horn. Trade
at least x5 Rhino Horns to him starting now and until you revisit Janna.
After the events in Adelhabith, go back to Yaska and talk to Gene. If you'd
been keep trades with him, then he will ask you to get a [Rune Ore] this
time.
You can find the ore at the middle-southernmost area of the desert. Talk to
Gene again and he will refer you to Waldo in Adelhabith. Talk to Waldo and
give him a [Red Jewel]. If you don't have one (which you should), then go
to Mount Arel and start killing a party of Night Owls and Castle Golems.
Now go back to Waldo and give him the Red Jewel. Now waste some hours or
finish the EX Dungeon. Sleeping at inns doesn't trigger the next event.
Come back after some hours. Talk to him to finish the side-quest.
