Hello everyone, this is my first faqs so bare with me if it is not perfect.
So on that note I got this game for Christmas this year, and I decide why not
make a faq for it. So far I have really enjoyed, the controls are very smooth
and easy to use.

These are the option in the game. To here Load your profile>The scroll/Touch
Option. When the menu opens You will have 4 options:
1) View Records
-This option allows you to see all the records for the courses
-Best lap record: Give the best lap for each courses
-Best race record: Give the best all around time
2) Audio Settings
-Allows you to change the volume
3) Game File
-allows to select a file(you can load the file or delete it)
4) Control Settings
-Allows you to change the controls(see controls for more detail)

When you load your file, there are multiple modes you can do.
1)Quick Race -this allows you to get into a race quickly
2)Single Player
I)Grand Prix
-this allows you to compete in a series races, after you beat each race
it will bring you back to the same menu where you scroll to the next race.
After you beat 3 races, you will unlock a set of 3 cars which you will go
against to win.(See Car Attack)
II)Car Attack
-After you win 3 races in Grand Prix You get a chance to go against cars.
If you win the race against the car you will unlock it.
III)Time Attack
-The name says it all, just race as fast you can to get a new record.

Ridge Racer Novice
Class: S Laps: 2 Cars 1
Difficulty *
This course is fairly easy, with only 1 or 2 sharp turns you can should get
first.
Revolution Novice
Class: S Laps: 3 Cars 1
Difficulty **
This course has a couple of sharp turn. A car with good handling would be
advised.
Renegade Novice
Class: S Laps: 3 Cars 1
Difficulty **(*)
This course if challenging for a beginners, with a lot of sharp turns, and
twists and turn you need to keep you wits about you.
Ridge Racer Novice
Class: R Laps: 3 Cars 1
Difficulty *
To my knowledge this is the same as Ridge Racer Novice, but you use R class
cars.
Revolution Novice
Class: R Laps: 3 Cars 1
Difficulty ***
This is a very fun course, lots of sharp turn and bends. About half way
though the course you will come down a downhill stretch, if you take the
turn close to the inner edge you can get catch up to your opponent really
quickly.
Renegade Novice
Class: R Laps: 3 Cars 1
Difficulty ***
In this course there are some sharp turns, but is fairly easy. Just keep
to the inner edge when turning.

The multiplayer mode can support single and multi cartages. Because I only
have one copy of this I can't do the muti cartages so if anyone can give me
some info on this would be great.
1)Single Card
Load your file> Go to multiplayer> Single Card > Select course> Select yes
or no to inviting people> Wait you people to join and go next>.....
You can also on lock car in multiplayer mode. About after you do 10 races
cars become on locked. Thanks from an anomoumus he belives the cars are
unlocked in tis order # 26, # 29, # 32, # 31.

Music unlocks go as follow (Note; Some told me this and can not rember that
exact time he unlocked them, but he says the are faiely close,If someone could

Final Remarks
Ridge Racer Ds is one of the best handheld racing games I have played, I
found the controls very smooth. The graphic are great and the over all feel
is good. I would highly recommend this game to everyone.
The last think I would like to say is thank you Nintendo/ Namco for making
this amazing game.
