Welcome to Westy215’s very first guide! Here I decided to
jump right in and provide a very brief walkthrough on Ragnarok DS.
People have been constantly asking on the internet and so I decided
now would be the perfect time to bring forth the walkthrough. Also
note that this will be an attempt for a non-spoiler walkthrough with
exception to place, move and character names.
Index
If you’re familiar with the search function then this is no big deal
to you.
If you have no idea what I’m on about then follow these easy steps to
use the find function.
Step 1: Press Ctrl and F and a window will appear somewhere on the
screen that has a box with the word ‘Find’ next to it.
Step 2: Input the 4 character code of the section you’re after as
dictated below

Okay here goes the most important of the walkthrough…
The walkthrough itself! Yay!
Notes
• I decided to split up the walkthrough into small sections using
first time visits and non-spoiler events as checkpoints using the Ctrl +
F feature.
• If you can’t seem to locate exactly where you are, find the most
recent thing you did, and move down from there.
• I’m going to give detailed dot points on where to go for the
MAIN QUEST ONLY!
• If you ask about the sub quests I might put them in when I get
the chance but for the time being it will be the main quest only.
• I have chosen to make it that if you have already passed through
a path once, you’ll know it for the rest of the game so to avoid
unnecessary lengthening of the walkthrough, I’ll simply ask you to take
your own path to a destination, provided that you’ve actually been there
before.
• I use only 1 acronym and that is SBESS which stands for Sell, Buy,
Equip, Sell and Save. (Save can also mean to heal.)
• What you do for each section of SBESS is entirely up to you. I will
not specify.
• I played the entire game using the Thief/Assassin Job but I do not
plan on giving any detail on jobs for this walkthrough as I do not have the
patience to play this game 10 + times.
• I use compass directions all the way through this walkthrough but
don’t worry; it will be based on the concept that up is north. So left is
west, right is east, etc.
• When I specify to move to a particular part of a map, I’m expecting
a cut-scene to occur. If it doesn’t occur, then you haven’t moved to the
correct part of that area. Just keep moving towards where I specify and
you’ll find the place you need.
• This game has issues when it comes to giving you accurate directions
in the Quest info. So you need to pay attention to what people are saying.
In other words you need to do what most gamers wouldn’t dare do and that is
pay attention to what is going on. Seriously I cannot stress this enough,
there are so many people out there who plays games without reading the text
or ignore what people say, get out of a detailed conversation in the game
and ask ‘what do I do now?’
Tips
• Never removed Sierra from your party if possible. When she isn’t
available, replace her with a healing person if possible.
• If your Base level is leveling up very quickly when you enter a new
area, your are probably not strong enough to handle the stronger monsters in
that area. I advise that you ether go back to a previous area and train or
stay where you are and level up a few times before continuing.
• I highly suggest taking time out of your main quest to compete the
side quests as they can help you gain zenies, items and other random and
helpful stuff.
• If you’re searching for sub quests, don’t only rely on the Tavern;
check the guilds, inns, shops, etc as you’ll be surprised how many people
you’ll find with quests.
• When fighting a monster it is wise to position yourself so that the
monster is in between you and your friends as to surround the monster.
This is because the Ally AI is poor and they will group up meaning a monster
could king hit all your team members and you at once and believe me it will
hurt.
• The monster will try to fight whoever is dealing the most damage to
it. Make sure you’re that person so you can dodge the attacks rendering the
monster useless.
• If in doubt of surviving, RUN!

Yusidra Caves (Tutorial) – Kill the monster.
Yusidra Caves (Tutorial) – Kill the monster using the Novice Attack.
Yusidra Caves (Tutorial) – Kill the monsters.
Yusidra Caves – Head north until you reach a chest. (Map)
Yusidra Caves – Head for the lower left section of the map.
Yusidra Caves – Kill the monsters.
Yusidra Caves – Exit the cave. (The yellow circle on the lower right of map)
East Prontera Woods – Head along the eastern path until you move to the next
screen.
Upon reaching that screen ignore the blue portal and head west and then south
without leaving the screen to locate a chest. (Map) Now head back into the
portal.
Prontera – Perform SBESS then enter the Order Of The Knights.
***** Lucifi Joins [WK02] *****
Prontera – Leave town.
East Prontera Woods (Tutorial) – Get Lucifi to kill the monster.
East Prontera Woods – Head for the southern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Head south over the bridge then west over the bridge.
Head north and West until you find a chest. (Map)
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Head for the area immediately west of the portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Head south over the bridge.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Kill the monster.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Head out the portal.
East Prontera Woods – Head for the eastern portal.
Prontera – SBESS then go to the Order Of The Knights. After that proceed to
the Tavern (In the shops menu) then leave town.
East Prontera Woods – Head for the western portal.
***** Western Prontera Woods 1st time [WK03] *****
Western Prontera Woods – Go north then east to find a chest. (Map)
Western Prontera Woods – Go to the north-eastern quarter of the map.
Western Prontera Woods – Go to the north-western quarter of the map via the
path at the top of the map.
Western Prontera Woods – Go to the south-western quarter of the map.
Western Prontera Woods – Go to the north-western quarter of the map. (Again…)
Western Prontera Woods – Go to the north-western area this quarter.
(The brown section)
Western Prontera Woods – Kill the monster.
Western Prontera Woods – Backtrack to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to the Tavern. Now head back to the Western Prontera
Woods.
Western Prontera Woods – Head for the pathway heading south out of the map and
talk to the man standing there.
Western Prontera Woods – Head back to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to the tavern. Leave for the Eastern Prontera Woods.
Eastern Prontera Woods – Head for the north-western section of the woods. Then
head for the Western Prontera Woods.
Western Prontera Woods – Head for the newly created portal on the bottom of
the map.
***** Geffen 1st Time [WK04] *****
Geffen – SBESS then leave via Geffen Bridge.
Geffen Bridge – Head south until you hit a wall then travel west until you
find a chest. (Map)
Geffen Bridge – Head for the north-western area of the map
Geffen Bridge – Get 1 Plant Stalk, 1 Wood Chip and 1 Poison Spore by killing
the monsters in the area. Once you have these head back to Attar at the
north-western area of the map and talk to him.
Mt. Mjolnir East – Head south until you locate a chest (Map)
Mt. Mjolnir East – Traverse your way to the top of the mountain and enter the
portal there.
Mt. Mjolnir West – Grab the chest on the peak of this mountain. (Map)
Mt. Mjolnir West – Head down the mountain and enter the portal there. (You can
save via the Kafra staff member present outside the mine.)
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 1 – Head north-east until you move to the next area. Move
south to find a chest. (Map) (This map applies to all the levels of Mjolnir
Dead Pit)
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 1 – Head for the north-western portal.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 2 – Head for the south-western portal.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Head for the south-western quarter of the map.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Kill the monster
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Backtrack all the way to Geffen. (Long trek but half
as long if you use a Fly Wing)
Geffen – SBESS then head for Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then head for the Tavern. Now go to the Order Of The Knights.
Then you go to the Prontera Culvert.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Enter the eastern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 2 – Head north into the portal. Head north until you reach
a chest. (Map)
Prontera Culvert Lv 2 – Enter the north portal of the mid area. Then the
eastern portal of the east area.
Prontera Culvert Lv 3 – Travel along the path until you reach a fork. Take the
northern route to find a chest. (Map)
Prontera Culvert Lv 3 – Enter the eastern portal
Prontera Culvert Lv 4 – Head north-west until you locate two paths. Take the
western one. Head north. Head directly east until you locate a chest. (Map)
Prontera Culvert Lv 4 – Now head east. Now head back to the portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 4 – Fight the monster. Now enter the portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 3 – Head for the eastern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 3 – Fight the monster again.
Prontera Culvert Lv 3 – Enter for the eastern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 2 – Head for the south-eastern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 2 – Fight the monster once more.
Prontera Culvert Lv 2 – Enter the south-eastern portal.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Kill the monster.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS, then go to the Order Of The Knights.
***** Viselc Joins 1st time [WK05] *****
Prontera – Go to the Eastern Prontera Woods.
Eastern Prontera Woods – Enter the south-western portal.
Sograt Desert North – Head immediately west to find a chest. (Map)
Sograt Desert North – Head for the south, elevated section of the map.
Sograt Desert North – Kill the monsters.
Sograt Desert North – Enter the south-western portal.
Sograt Desert South – Head south until you move into the next area. Now head
west and move along the northern wall until you find a chest. (Map)
Sograt Desert South – Enter the south-western portal.
Eternal Sands – Head south into the portal.
***** Morocc 1st time visit [WK06] *****
Morocc – SBESS then head for the Sograt Desert North.
Sograt Desert North – Enter the north-western portal.
Ant Hell Lv 1 – Travel east until you enter the next area. There you must
travel north-east until you find a chest. (Map) (Applies to all Lvls of Ant
Hell)
Ant Hell Lv 1 – Enter to the south-eastern portal.
Ant Hell Lv 2 – Proceed to the middle area on the map.
Ant Hell Lv 2 – Kill the monster.
Ant Hell Lv 2 – Proceed to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to the tavern. Now go to the Yusidra Caves (if you
forgot where it is. It’s the northern portal of the Eastern Prontera Woods.
Yusidra Caves – head along the map until you reach a fork. Head north. Now
search the north wall of the area your now in. Now enter the newly created
portal.
Yusidra Caves – Make your way to the center area.
Yusidra Caves – Kill the monster.
Yusidra Caves – Now return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS and go to the Tavern. Now go to the Order Of The Knights.
***** Guild established [WK07] *****
Prontera – Go to Ant Hell.
Ant Hell – Go to the western area located directly below the north-western
portal and search the north-western wall.
Ant Hell – Return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to the Inn. Now go to your Guild Headquarters. Now
go to the Order Of The Knights. Swap a teammate out for Lucifi. Now go to
Mjolnir Dead Pit.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 1 – Traverse to the 3rd Lv.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Make your way to the south-western quarter of the map.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Kill the monster.
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 3 – Return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS and go to the Order Of The Knights. Now go to your Guild
Headquarters. Now exit via the East Prontera Woods.
East Prontera Woods – Follow Lisir to Ant Hell.
Ant Hell – Traverse to the south-eastern portal.
Ant Hell – Kill the monster.
Ant Hell – Report back to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then return to your Guild Headquarters. Now go to the Tavern
and speak with Pott there. Now replace a teammate with Viselc. Head for the
Prontera Culvert.
Prontera Culvert Lv 1 – Proceed to Lv 4.
Prontera Culvert Lv 4 – Move to the north-western quarter of the map.
Prontera Culvert Lv 4 – Kill the monster.
Prontera – SBESS and then go to the Tavern. Now go to your Guild Headquarters.
Now go to Geffen.
Geffen – SBESS then go to the Item Shop. Now return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to your Guild Headquarters.
Prontera – Kill the monster.
Prontera – Go to the Mjolnir Dead Pit
Mjolnir Dead Pit Lv 1 – Kill the monster.
Geffen – SBESS then go to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then enter your Guild Headquarters. Ensure Sierra and Viselc
are in your team. Now go to Morocc.
Morocc – SBESS then go to Eternal Sands.
Eternal Sands – Now you must travel west, north, east, south, west, north,
east, north, south, west, north then north again.
Eternal Sands – Kill the monsters.
Eternal Sands – Go back to Morocc.
Morocc – SBESS then go to Prontera.
***** Guild Updated [WK08] *****
Prontera – SBESS then go to your Guild Headquarters. Now go to the East
Prontera Woods.
East Prontera Woods – Go the middle area of the map. Now go to the
north-western quarter of the map.
East Prontera Woods – Kill the monsters.
East Prontera Woods – Return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS and then go to the Order Of The Knights and talk with the
knight there. Now go to your Guild Headquarters. Note: If you had either
Sierra or Viselc in your team, they will now need to be replaced. Now go
to the Harbor.
Juno – Go to the Blacksmith. Leave to El Mes Gorge North.
El Mes Gorge North – Head east until you find a chest. (Map)
El Mes Gorge North – Head for the southern portal.
El Mes Gorge North – Kill the monsters.
El Mes Gorge North – Return to Juno.
Juno – SBESS then go to the Blacksmith. Return to Prontera.
Prontera – Go to your Guild Headquarters. Now go to El Mes Gorge North.
El Mes Gorge North – Enter the south-western portal.
***** Lightalezen 1st Visit [WK09] *****
Lightalezen – SBESS then enter the Somatology Gate.
Somatology Lab Lv 1 – From your location, head south till you reach a
junction, head east to the next room. Follow the carpet on the floor to the
next room. Next you must travel north until you reach a junction. Travel
west to the next room. Go to the big desk at the northern end of the room.
Somatology Lab Lv 1 – Fight the monsters.
Somatology Lab Lv 1 – Backtrack out of this area and go to Juno.
Juno – SBESS then go to the Harbor.
Harbor – Kill the monster.
Mjolnir Pass - Head south until you reach a fork in the path. Head down the
east path until you reach another fork. Head down the western path until
you reach another fork. Head down the western path until you reach a portal.
Mt. Mjolnir East – Now go to Prontera.
Prontera – go to your Guild Headquarters. Now go to Lightalezen.
Lightalezen – SBESS then go the tavern. Talk to the guy in front of the
counter then talk to the suspicious guy in the corner. Now talk to the guy
in front of the counter again. Now talk to the suspicious guy twice. Say
yes to his question. Now talk to him twice again. Now go to the Weapon Shop.
Chat with the guy in the corner. Say no to his question. Now go to the Inn.
Go upstairs and chat with the guy in the corner. (I’m seeing a pattern here.)
Say yes to his question. Say no to his next one. Now go to the Item Shop.
Talk with the green guy there. Say no to his question. Now you’re finished
with this wild goose chase. (NOTE: If you stuff up during any of this process
you’re going to have to restart from a certain position depending on far you
are.E.g. I got to the inn guy and stuffed up the second question. I had to
restart from the suspicious guy.) After that the game will allow you to
rearrange your party.
Somatology Lab Lv 1 – Head south and east to the next area. Now follow the
singular path to the next area. Head south to the next area. Follow the
carpet path on the floor to the next area. Head west to the next area.
Head to the north wall to the next area. Continue heading north until you
reach a cut scene area.
Somatology Lab Lv 2 – Kill the monster.
Somatology Lab Lv 2 – Head south until you reach a chest. (Map) Now you
must enter each of the 5 remaining portals and kill the monsters within.
Good Luck.
Somatology Lab Lv 2 – head for the newly created portal in the middle of
the room. (NOTE: If you named yourself Watson the previous cut scene would
have been very funny.)
Somatology Lab Lv 3 – Head east to the next area. Head north to the next
area. Open the chest in this room. (Map) Now go for the northern-most area
of the map.
Somatology Lab Lv 3 – Kill the monster.
Somatology Lab Lv 3 – Return to Prontera.
Prontera – SBESS then go to your Guild Headquarters. Now go to Geffen
Bridge.
Geffen Bridge – Go to the south-western portal.
Geffen Bridge – Enter the south-western portal.
***** Labyrinth Forest 1st Visit [WK10] *****
Labyrinth Forest – Open the chest (Map)
Labyrinth Forest – Ok this maze is very randomized. I tried to map a path
but pathways would change their destinations at will making it very hard to
map out a path for you to follow. But the main goal is to continue to traverse
the labyrinth until you reach a room with a monster in it. Kill that monster
and move on. Repeat until you get a cut scene and get sent to the
north-western section of the map. (If you wish to traverse this area to get
to the portal from the start again, you must get to the plus shaped area and
go north. Which is left and left again. [Thanks to Aaron Indra!])
Glast Heim Underground - Go north to the next area. Now head north-west to
the next area. Now follow the singular path to a portal. Take the portal and
in the next area, go west to find a chest. (Map) (Note how the map doesn’t
show portals that warp you around the map, just the ones that take you to a
different place.)
Glast Heim Underground - Now enter the portal you were just in to get back
to your area. Take note of the areas of the map you can access without entering
a portal and treat that area as the entire map ignoring the rest of the map for
the sake of my walkthrough. Make your way to the big square area in the middle
of the map and enter the portal there.
Glast Heim Underground – Travel along the path to the next room. Enter the
portal at the north wall of the room.
Glast Heim Underground – Head for the north-western portal.
***** Glast Heim 1st Visit [WK11] *****
Glast Heim – Head west to the next area. Head west again to find a chest. (Map)
(This applies to the entire of Glast Heim)
Glast Heim – Go to the north-western most area of the map. Now enter the
middle portal.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Travel along the eastern path until you reach a dead end.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Kill the monster.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Progress to the northern area of the map.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Kill the monster.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Travel to the north-western area of the map.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Kill the monster.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Now go to the northern area of the map.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Kill the monster.
Glast Heim Room 1 – Enter the south portal.
Glast Heim – Enter the north-western portal.
Glast Heim Room 2 – Travel along the singular path to the end room.
Glast Heim Room 2 – Kill the monster. (Didn’t see that coming now did you?
I did!)
Glast Heim Room 2 –Head into the portal.
Glast Heim - Gather yourself up and prepare. This is the last safety point
before the end of the game! When you’re ready enter the northern portal to
end this!
Freya’s Alter – Kill the monster.
Freya’s Alter – Kill the monster.
Congratulations! You have successfully completed Ragnarok for the DS! Enjoy
the cut scene and thank you for using my walkthrough!
