Pokémon
Trozei!

Meet Miss Lucy Fleetfoot.
A young woman who loves Pokémon very much.
'What?!?'
Something in her handbag is vibrating.
It's her messaging device.
Professor P. is on the line.

"Miss Fleetfoot? Lucy Fleetfoot?
This is Professor P.
There appears to be trouble brewing.
The despicable Phobos Battalion...
They're up to no good.
They've been stealing Pokémon, still in their Pokéballs, from around the world.
The stolen Pokémon appear to be gathered in Secret Storage locations.
There must be some motive behind their dastardly caper.
Even I cannot understand what drives them...
-But, no matter.
Hurry back to the SOL Base, please."

Like Superman, Miss Fleetfoot puts on a strange costume.

I. How to play
*******************************************************************************

       1. What's the point?

"Ah, Miss Fleetfoot, how are you?
Very good to see you so promptly.
Now, let me brief you on your new assignment.
You are to infiltrate the Secret Storage locations of the Phobos Batallion.
There, you shall recover the stolen Pokémon in their Pokéballs.
That's easier said than done.
I know.
I imagine there will be countless Pokéballs at every location.
It will simply be impossible for yu to carry them out on your own.
So, we've prepareed a new device which you'll find most useful.
Rather than explain, I'll have you watch this video."

'Ahem.
I have succeeded in creating a revolutionary device.
Introducing SOL's latest gadget.
It's name--the Trozei Beamer.
Using this pile of Pokéballs...
Let me demonstrate how the Trozei Beamer works.
The Trozei Beamer has two functions.
First, it has an X-ray scanning system.
When you scan Pokéballs with the Trozei Beamer...
it identifies the Pokémon inside.
Pikachu are in these Pokéballs.
The Trozei Beamer has another function: beam transfer of Pokémon.
But capturing the Pokémon in their Pokéballs isn't easy.
Those Pokémon must be emitting enough of a signal to be caught.
One Pokémon alone doesn't give off enough of a signal.
To boost the signal of Pokémon, you need more than one.
In fact, you need to line up four of the same kind.
Lining up four strenghthens the signal they emit.
It lets us lock on the Pokémon so they can be transferred.
The transferred Pokémon are sent to our SOL Satellite...
They are then relayed to our SOL Base far from the scene.
As a result, we've rescued some Pikachu from harm.'

"Do you understand how the Trozei Beamer works?
Using it, Pokémon can be rescued without taking their Pokéballs.
Remember, now, for Pokémon to be transferred from captivity...
You must line up four identical Pokémon in a row--up, down, or sideways.
However, it is foolish trying to describe thid process in words.
It will be much quicker if you try it for yourself.
Tests are under way at the Laboratory next door.
You should go there and try it out yourself.
The Trozei Beamer...
I'm sure you'll get to like it."

In a nutshell, line up four Pokémon to steal them from robbers,
not even to return them to their rightful owners.
Not exactly 'heroic,' eh?
The goal of the player is to collect all 386 Pokémon, as usual.

The only thing you ever need to play this is the Power button and stylus.
Other than that, the B button can shut all the annoying people up.

Use the stylus to drag Pokémon over from side to side, or down.
Pokémon can only go up one space, then they flal back down.
Ironically, this IS in a machine, so I don't see why there
is gravity inside the machines motherboard.
Anyway, moving Pokémon up is only good for completing a line.

What can confuse you big time is going left and right into the other side.
There are never any Pokémon wasted.
So, as a result, an unexpected Pokémon can appear
on the other side and accidentally trigger the Trozei Chance.

Oh, yeah, that Trozei Chance...
A very, VERY useful feature that allows continuous Trozeis to be acquired.
When the first set of four are lined up, the next set allows for
three in one direction, then sets of two, T and L shapes can be         acquired.
And when Dittos get into the picture, things can get fast, so be cautious.
They can link two completely different types of Pokémon together.
They also have the ability to create sets of squares.
Something that you might want to remember:
Lining up three Ditto in a row is asking for trouble.
But, it is an excellent technique in getting rare Pokémon.

       3. Ditto

Ditto are very confusing.
They can do things that no other Pokémon can do.
They can count as any Pokémon.

Here are some tips on Ditto:
1. They can ruin practice levels, by falling when you have everything under
       control
2. They can help you by falling during Trozei Chance to complete more
       pairings.
3. They can combine two different Pokémon in Trozei Chance.

Sure, there are others, but I don't bother to find them.

       4. Menu Icons

Even on the Title Screen, there are five icons.
1. Book
This is the Trozei List.
It contains all the Pokémon you've trozeid and at least given the chance to.
It also shows small details and locations of all the trozeid Pokémon.
2. Crown
This lists the records of your game pak compared to other players
       via espionage mode.
       a. Trozei List
               -percentage of completion-
       b. Pair Best Score
-best score with any DS player-
       c. Continuous Trozei
-single score from endless mode showing how many trozeis
               you earn in trozei chance-
       d. Overall
               -all the rankings at once-
       e. ??? (forever mode)
-best score ever in forever mode-
       f. Simultaneous Trozei
-How many trozei pairs you have made at once in any mode-
       g. Endless Best Score
-best score ever in endless mode-
3. Cup
This is espionage and agent cards.
Basically collection of information of other players.
       a. Agent Card Collection
-all the agent cards you've ever recieved-
       b. Espinoage
-enter espionage mode, recieve other agent cards-
       c. Your Agent Card
-all the information players will recieve from espionage mode-
4. DS
This will allow others to download Trozei! to their DS.
5. Wrench
This is the info you will give in espionage mode.
       a. Nickname
-the name you will give to other players-
       b. Gender
-choose between male, female, and secret-
       c. Messsage
               -DS name and occupation-
       d. Writing Hand
               -left or right hand players-
       e. PictoChat Search
-yes lets you search for PictoChat users during play.  If you
choose to play him, the game will pause the location to
               play the opponent-
       f. Resetting the Adventure
-start the adventure over, but retain coins, Trozei List, and Ranking-
       g. Delete Ranking stats
-either delete a specific ranking or the entire score-

       5. Agent Card

Your agent card displays the following:
nickname, gender, birthdate, name, and occ.
These are accessible by any player in espionage mode within range
       of your powered DS.
Each Agent Cards also has:
A picture displaying a secret storage.

Secret Storage
-random-
Pokémon: 100
Prize Target: -none-
Catch These: -random one Pokémon-
Pokémon used:
-random-

Although these are random numbers,
they do not change among the same DS and game pak.

Also:
when someone has access to your Agent Card, they will recieve the same rare
               Pokémon        you get.
You can keep a rare Pokémon even after a certain Agent card is deleted.

A storehouse filled with the Pokéballs stolen by the Phobos Battalion. (text)
-Beside the river- (map location)
Pokémon: 50  (# of Pokémon to be trozeid to win)
Prize Target: 5,000 pts.  (# of pts. required for a prize coin)
Catch These:    Butterfree    (the rare Pokémon of the stage)
               Venemoth
               Ludicolo

Pokémon used:  (the more common Pokémon in the location)
Natu, Sunkern, Paras, Tentacool, Porygon.

       1. Locations

!!!Remember!!!
Most every time a location is cleared, another one will replace it.

Oh, yes, the point system.
A pairing of 7 makes 500 pts., 6 makes 200 pts., 5 makes 100 pts.,
       4 makes 50 pts., 3 makes 20 pts., and 2 makes 10 pts.
Every continuous Trozei in Trozei Chance will increase the multiplier by one.
Clearing the entire screen will give 10,000 pts.
Capturing rare Pokémon earns you 1,000 pts.
After finishing the location, points will be deducted from leftover Pokémon.
Every one character goes down to the next level, looking like this:
20,000 for perfect, 10,000 for one, 5,000 for two, 2,000 for three,
1,000 for four, and none for five or more.

!!!Remember!!!
Rare Pokémon come in two random situations:
1. Rares will appear, last for a minute, then disappear.
These will make up most of the locations.
The rares in this set will be very hard to come by.
2. Rares will appear, last for a few seconds, then disappear.
These are easier to Trozei, but more frustrating than the first set.
The rares will come in great abundance.

!!!Remember!!!
Rare Pokémon eventually disappear if not trozeid soon.
But not if they are on the top screen.
very VERY good tip.

!!!Remember!!!
Unown will appear differently in locations.
Just because two letters are both Unown doesn't mean they can Trozei.
They have to be the matching letter.

SOL Base
SOL's central Headquaters.
Professor P. can be found here.
-Nothing to do but listen to the old fart whine-

After speaking with Prof. P., a strikingly familiar building appears
       in front of the Lab.
Looks a lot like Capsule Corp. from DBZ.
Anyway, go in and hear Prof. P.

Sol Laboratory 1
A lab that researches the uses of the Trozei Beamer.
-Practice-

"Miss Fleetfoot.
At the Lab, we'll have you try out the Trozei Beamer.
It will be a simple training program allowing you to get some practice.
The training program onsists of five stages.
You'll be instucted on how to move the Pokémon in these stages.
The object is to Trozei all the Pokémon.
There must not be any Pokémon left behind.
There sill always be a way for you to Tozei everysingls Pokémon.
Try to clear all five stages.
If you succeed, SOL will award you a Prize Coin.
These Prize Coins are awarded only to the best Agents.
They are rewards for excellent performances.
Well, then...
Are you ready to begin?"

You have to be some kinda dumb not to get it.

However, Ditto can be annoying in Practice rounds.
They tend to appear whether or not you have things under control,

Try not to let the AI think you will need a Ditto.

Once you finish, you will get a Prize Coins.
Those aren't important till later.

"You appear to have mastered the use of the Trozei beamer.
By the way, there are other places for you to train.
There are several other SOL Laboratories.
if you feel the need to sharpen your skills, they're the place.
Please, simply drop by whenever you like.
Oh?
I've just recieved a transmission from the SOL Satellite.
It's detected a Phobos Battlion Secret Storage.
I must ask you to be on your way.
We depend on you, Miss Fleetfoot."

This is unbearably slow.
Personally, I enjoy letting the bar almost fill to start Trozeying.

Oh, yeah, and when you're finished, the screen will display all the
Pokémon to be added to the Trozei List.
Rares will go first and individually, if caught, then commons all
       together.

Oh, look, three more locations popped up.
Let's go to the labs first.

"Miss Fleetfoot?
We have a bit of a situation.
The Phobos Battalion has a giant vehicle called the Phobos Mobile.
It is an enormous transporter of Pokéballs.
It is bathering up the stolen Pokéballs and appears to be carrying
       them to an unknown site.
What motivates them to gather so many Pokéballs?
It's unnatural how they're bringing together so many.
Miss Fleetfoot, I have a bad feeling about this.
Regardless, I must ask you to carry on with your duty.
Your forays will bring new information to light."

Now let me shed some light on the Phobos Mobiles:
There are five of them, with their own bosses.
And each Boss takes control of certain types of Pokémon.
While playing, you will sometimes notice a gray moon-like ball.
They are not too annyoing, other than some Bosses them in your way
       in the worst timing.
The only way to get rid of them is to set off Trozei Chance,
then use Ditto to capture them.
On the other hand, they earn you bonus points for a trozei.

More on the Bosses:
On the first to third trozei in trozei chance, the Boss will be knocked out.
He will eventualy come back, and with a vengance.
Sometimes, he'll black the screen out, making you rely on the shapes.
That runs out after thirty seconds.
Also, it your timing is relaly bad, he'll increase your Pokémon count by
       50 after he's knocked out.

Phobos Mobile #1: Phobos Train
The Phobos Battalion's gigantic train can run even where there are no rails.
-a large caterpillar on the smaller hill-
Pokémon: 100
Prize Target: 8,000 pts.
Catch These:    Bellossom
               Meganium
Pokémon used:
Ariados, Roselia, Bulbasaur, Caterpie, Oddish

A large green creature with a cape comes in.
Turns out to be human.

"Bzzt!
We have an intruder?
Who would dare to do that?
I, General Buzz, won't have anyone loose on the Phobos Train!
Bzzzt!
Who is it?
Who has broken our security?!
catch them, I say!
They will be exposed!"

General Buzz takes command over the stolen Grass type Pokémon.
He seems to think he's a bug.

"Bzzzt!
The intruder is fast!
You've cleaned us out of all the Pokéballs we had!
Bzzt!
Don't forget this!
We'll get payback!
You can be sure of that! You will learn the true terror of the Phobos Battalion!
Bzzt!"

The Phobos Train will flee the scene to the base of a volcano.

               Dragonite
Pokémon used:
Ledian, Swablu, Noctowl, Pelipper, Murkrow

"What?
The Phobos Jet has been infiltrated by an intruder?
That cannot be!
Not under my watch!
For I am the great General Avery!
catch the interloper!
We'll feed them to the Fearow!"

General Avery is the most human out of the generals.
Also very arrogant.
As a plus, as if you needed it, his meteors push through the rows,
thereby erasing one Pokémon and destroying possible pairings.
This guy is also the smartest of them.
His AI purposely makes it so that it destoys pairings.
And, if you decide to outsmart him by placing his meteors by the side to be
erased, he'll only blackout the screen.
Amazing how today's technology is.

"How dare you, you meddling fool!
How dare you meddle!
We weill make a tactical retreat today, meddler!
But the Phobos Battalion's great plan remains intact!
You!
Meddler!
Don't you forget it!"

This General Grock guy is pretty intelligent too.
He also knows what he's doing.
Don't try him.
He throws meteors exactly like General Buzz.

"Ugaaaah!
All the Pokémon we collected...
They're all gone!
We, the Generals, stole all those Pokémon!

Ready to be humiliated?"

Aquarella is the most intelligent of all, period.

Very annoying.

"Well, now, isn't that something!
Sweetheart, you've shown me up but good.

Boolum angry now!

Definitely the dumbest person around, even more than Mr. Who.
His meteors resemble General Buzz's and General Grock's.

"You take my loot!
Boolum sad now!
Baron Phobos get angry!
Boolum in trouble!
Secret weapon meed plenty lots of energy!
We get energy from Pokéballs we collect.

I've already considered that unlikely possibility!
I gathered the Phobos Mobiles of my Generals here.

If I pool the power of the five Phobos Mobiles...

Uha!
Uhaha!
Uhahahahaha!
Rise, my secret Fortress!

A large Lunatone rises from inside the volcano.
How ironic, since your agency represents Solrock.

"Uhahahahaha!
And now!
All I need is just a little more energy!
The little bit that you denied me!
That will make my Phoboshpere fully operational!
Its mighty secret weapon, the Phobos-ray, will be armed!
I will strike down all who dare oppose my will!
That moment is drawing near!
My time has come!
Glory to the Phobos Battalion!
Long live Baron Phobos!
Uha!

Uhahahaha!

Oh, look, a random SOL Lab appeared in the middle of nowhere.

It wouldn't be any fun it you didn't show up!
I knwe I would have to settle the score with you.
and I do believe this is the right time to do so.
I will personally show you the error of your ways.
I, Baron Phobos, shall teach you true terror!"

By now, you've probably realized that there's something wrong with these
       Phobos guys.
Their leader probably has a serious mental handicap.
He truly believes that what he is doing is morally right.
Well, he scoured the globe searching for people with the same handicap, and
enlisted them to do the 'right' thing.

His meteors are truly the most annoying of all.
He will take any Pokémon at all on the bottom screen, and replace it
       with the meteor.
He also likes to aim at potential pairings.
This is the worst thing that can ever happen to you in the game.

"This cannot be!
Beaten by a mere girl!?!
What?!
What is this?!
Why are we falling?!
No!
This can't be!
The energy source...
The Pokémon!
They've been taken away!
They kept this place floating!
But now thy're gone!
This can't be happening!
Aiyeeeeh!
I'm going down!
Down!
I'm going down!
Staight into the volcano!"

At this point, Baron Phobos has lost his intellect.

"Aiyiyiyeeeeeeeeh!"

"Well done, indeed, Miss Fleetfoot!
Only the best from my best agent!
That setback should keep even Baron Phobos quiet.
It's doubtful he'll be up to his usual criminal tricks anytime soon.
All's well that ends will, I say.
Brave!
Miss Fleetfoot, your work this time was simply extraordinary.
We expect that you will continue to protect Pokémon from peril.
Ah, look!
The dawn is breaking!
Today will be a wonderful day!"

And now, the credits roll.

Think you've won?
WRONG!!!!!

Now there's hard adventure mode.

       2. Hard Mode

Here I will only post the name, # of Pkmn, and Prize Target.
Otherwise, the Pokémon stay the same.

!!!Remember!!!
Locations will be faster, longer, and slightly more difficult relatively
       with the past locations.

Also, locations will be organized by type and number, instead of chronological
       order as last time.

"Ayuh?!
Who is that?!
Who Are you?
Is not good.
Not good you be here!
Me?
Mr. Who.
That is me.
I love junk.
Yes, I do.
you know there are strange machines?
Moving around?
I chase those machines, yes?
They drop many things.
Round things, they drop.
like pall, those things they drop.
I like very much.
Those things like balls, yes?
I puck up and collect them.
I collect very many many.
What?
Those things precious?
Pokéballs they are?
What they are?
I know nothing.
Junk I know.
Nothing else I know.
You want to see?
You want?
Those balls?
You are strange, yes?
Hmm...
What should I do...
Very hard it was, you see?
Collect so many I did.
Ayuh?
You have nice coin?
You are strange, but it is nice.
Ah, it called Prize Coin, yes?
I see...
You give me?
That coin for me?
You give me coin, I let you play with balls for two minutes, yes?
I stop collect balls from now on.
I collect those coins now, okay?"

Mr. Who is just retarded, is all.
It's not his fault he speaks like Quazimoto.

Anyway, those coins are very important.
To Mr. Who.
Mr. Who, on the other hand, has very rare Pokémon on his hands.
He'll be willing to give up anything he has for those coins.
If you've already got the hand of Pokémon Trozei!,
then you'll have a lot of coins.
Either if you enter Mr. Who's den in normal or hard mode, the play will be the
       same.

!!!Remember!!!
Mr. Who's levels will have 7x5 and 7x6 instead of the normal
       5x5 and 5x6 screens.
Be cautious of your space.

You get prize coins from beating the prize target in a level,
or for beating a Practice location for the first time.
can't get simpler than that.

For each coin you give him, he gives you two minutes of play time.

There are a few sets of Pokémon, but there are no ways of
       telling what's coming up.

!!!Remember!!!
These sets come along twice every once in a while.
They don't mix.

Pokémon fall at a fairly fast rate, and since there is a time limit,
there is no running out of time before thirty seconds.

III. Endless Mode
*******************************************************************************

Endless mode is a very interesting selection.
In Pokémon Trozei! Mini, this is the only one player option.

This really doesn't need so much explaination, other than a few things.
After every level, the next one starts immediately.
New Pokémon will fall once the previous ones have gone.
Or, in other terms, for every type of old Pokémon,
that's 5/8 less than the number before of new Pokémon.
A little difficult to explain.
Every 5 levels you complete, a notch will be obtained.
When you get Game Over, you can restart on every fifth level.
Remember, though, you have to complete the fifth level as well as reach it.

If you don't start from the beginning, completing the first level will
       earn you designated 'skip' points.
They get you up to speed for high scores.

Endless Level (#)
Pokémon: (to be trozeid)
Catch These: (rares)
Pokémon Used:
(commons)
Bonus: (every fifth level)

Now, these will go in chronological order.
Endless mode does in fact have Poémon unobtainable in adventure mode, so
it's not a complete waste of time.
Unlike most other Puzzle games, it has a purpose.
You can retire anytime, but it doesn't save where you left off unless you
       reached a notch.

!!!Remember!!!
Even Trozei Chance becomes faster the higher the level in Endless mode.

VII. The REAL FAQ
*******************************************************************************

These are some things that I was really asked.
Some are reasonable, but others...
Wishful thinking.

Q-Can you trade Pokémon into the GBA games?
A-No.

Q-Can you battle Pokémon that you've caught?
A-No.

Q-Is this a rip-off of Tetris?
A-No, no, no.
It may seem like Tetris, but you could also say that it compares to Bejeweled,
       Pokémon        Puzzle Challenge or League.
It's just another new puzzle game.

Q-How come I can't download Pokémon Trozei! onto my DS?
A-Have your friend press the DS icon on the main screen.
Once there, you can download all you like.

Q-Why can't I get Agent Cards?
A-Remember, Espionage mode lasts even when the DS is closed.
Also, both you and whoever else is around must be in espionage at the same
       time.

Q-Where can I get (legendary Pokémon)?
A-Be very lucky and search for many Agent cards.
That's the only place where you can find legendary Pokémon.
