One Piece Gigante Battle is 2D fighting game. In each battle, the goal is to
leap between platforms, and pummel your opponents into submission... Oh, and
it's about Pirates. Yaaaay!
Every character has the same basic controls, but a different set of moves. The
key to victory is learning which moves work best in which situations, and
picking the right character for the challenge at hand.
The universal controls are :
Y - Block
X - Throw / Pick up item
B - Attack / Throw item
A - Jump
FF - Dash Forward
BB - Dash Backward
Double Jump
Pressing A while in mid-air
All the characters have additional moves, which can be access by holding
various combinations of Up [U], Down [D] or Forwards [F], and pressing the [B]
button. The "Character" section of the FAQ has a full list of moves for each
character.
The Heat Gauge
--------------
As you land moves and deal damage, the "Heat Gauge" below your health bar will
start to fill. When the bar fills, you'll gain a Heat Level, and an icon will
appear next to the Heat Gauge. Heat Levels can be spend performing various
special moves, or stored up to enter Heat Mode
Special Moves
-------------
Each character can learn 3 unique Special Moves, which are sold at shops
throughout the game. Each move requires a number of Heat Levels to perform,
which are consumed when the move is activated. The special moves are all
activated by holding the [R] button, and inputting a series of commands.
Invincible Dash
---------------
Each character has an Invincible Dash, which is activated by holding [Y], and
double-tapping left or right. While using this dash, the player can pass
through opponents, and cannot take damage.
Heat Mode
---------
Once a character has build up 3 Heat Bars, they can activate Heat Mode, by
holding L, and pressing all four face-buttons (YBXA) at once. When in Heat
Mode, characters deal extra "Heat Damage" in addition to normal damage. Once
you enter Heat Mode, you cannot turn it off, and will suffer constant damage.

Monkey D Luffy
--------------
The hero of our story is a tenacious young pirate, who never gives up. In
fighting game terms, that means he's fast, can take a beating, and has a cheesy
[BBB] combo, to help you breeze through the early stages of the game.
In Story Mode, Luffy's best use is hit and run missions. His range and moveset
make him a good all-rounders, but his Special Moves are hard to connect with,
and his Level 2 is best used as a "panic button" when you need to knock down
several enemies, or escape from a sticky situation. If you plan to make the
most of Luffy, keep his Health stat as high as possible, and try not to neglect
his Attack Power stat either.

Special Moves
-------------
[Level 1] Gomu Gomu no JET Bazooka [L+B A]
Luffy leaps into the air, and delivers a vicious punch to anyone standing
between 2-3 body lengths away from him. The move can be charged by holding down
[A], although this leaves Luffy vulnerable to attacks.
[Level 2] Gomu Gomu no JET Gattling [L+Y B]
Luffy unleashes a flurry of punches in all directions
[Level 3] Gear Third Gigant Rifle [L+Y X A]
Luffy enters Gear Third, delivering a barrage of moves. Anybody standing
directly infront of below him will be caught by the opening move, and hit by
the entire combo. At the end of the combo, Luffy becomes vulnerable, and
momentarily shrinks.

In every battle, your crew will be made up of one player-controlled character,
and 3 Support Characters.
Support Characters will always give you a passive bonus, just for being in your
crew. You can call upon them in battle, by pressing their portrait on the lower
touch screen. Support Characters each have their own cooldown. If the portrait
has a charging bar over it, you'll have to wait until the bar fills, before you
can call them again.

Preface
-------
The game is divided into 8 worlds, each made up of several stages. Each stage
has two to four missions, which the player has to beat. Beating the first
mission will allow you to progress to the next stage, but beating the other
missions within each stage will reward you with extra money and experience, as
well as sometimes unlocking new features and characters.
Each Island contains a store, which sells a Map of that island. The map is
required to unlock certain stages in the zone.
When you complete a stage, you will receive a set ammount of experience for
beating the stage, as well as bonus EXP for any missions you beat. You will
only be able to receive the bonus EXP once, so if you beat the stage again, you
will only receive the set ammount of EXP, and not the bonus EXP. It's sometimes
important to go back and beat the same stage multiple times, in order to level
up new characters. In order to minimise this, it's wise to build up characters
properly.
Building Characters
-------------------
After you beat your first few fights, Luffy will level up, and you'll be asked
to choose which stats you want to raise. They are, in order :
Health
Attack Power
Deadly Attack
Item
Support
At the start of the game, the most useful stat for Luffy is health, followed by
Attack Power. Most of the early fights are straight-up battles, but there will
also be Missions which involve beating your opponent within a certain time
limit, or staying alive for a certain ammount of time. Keep this in mind when
building your characters.
If you focus on the wrong stats, or try to build "balanced" characters, you're
going to end up wasting a lot of time retrying stages, or grinding experience
points, to reach the numbers necessary for certain missions.
The following stats are reccomended for the following characters :
Luffy - Health
Kizaru - Attack Power

The time is the Great Pirate Era.
Countless pirates fight desperately for the One Piece, the great trasure left
behind by Gold Roger, King of the Pirates.
Monkey D Luffy, a boy whose body turned to rubber after he at the Gum-Gum
fruit, also takes to the sea to become the next King of the Pirates.
As Luffy and his friends overcome numerous adventures, the World Government is
less and less able to ignore their existence.
The crew, on it's way to the New World, will speed along the Grand Line again
today!

|_____________________________________________________________________________|
A simple straight-up sparring match, between the crew's captain, and his first
mate. The primary objective is just to win, but you should be able to clear the
second objective as well, without much trouble. The third objective requires
you to have unlocked Usopp, so make sure to come back here to earn some easy
money, as soon as you do.
--
Stage 2 :Going Sunny!!
Opponent : Sanji
Battlefiend : Going Sunny
1 - Clear the stage [Unlock : Franky]
2 - Clear the stage as Zoro
This is the first fight where the game forces you to use a set combination of
character and supports. In this case, you're using Luffy, and Brook (the
supporter you just unlocked), instead of the supporter you started the game
with. As before you'll have to come back here later to clear the 2nd objective.
After you beat Sanji, you'll probably level-up. Remember to build Luffy's
Health and Attack Power up first.
--
Stage 3 - Luffy and Luffy
Opponent : Luffy / Luffy
Battlefiend : Grove #1
1 - KO at least one opponent.
2 - Call a support character, and then clear the stage
3 - Clear the stage as Sanji.
Try and trap Luffy's doppelgangers in a corner, and mash away with your BBB
combo. Make sure you take a support character with you, so you can get the
first 2 objectives in one run.
--
Stage 4 : Going Alone?
Opponent : Sanji / Usopp
Battlefiend : Grove #1
1 - Clear the stage as Zoro
2 - Clear the stage with 50% of your health remaining
3 - Clear the stage with 75% of your health remaining
Our first chance to play as Pirate Hunter Zoro. The biggest difference you may
notice is that Zoro's BBB combo moves him across the screen, as it knocks down
the opponent. This makes for faster fights, as you can quickly switch between
beating down Usopp or Sanji.
All 3 objectives are easy enough to obtain. If you beat the first, but have
trouble with the second 2, just try the stage again as Luffy, who should have
plenty of health at this point (as well as his cheesy BBB combo).
--
Stage 5 : Bubble Play
Opponent : Gravity
Battlefield : Grove #1
1 - Stay off the ground for 15 seconds
2 - Stay off the ground for 20 seconds
3 - Stay off the ground for 25 seconds [New route]
4 - Stay off the ground for 30 seconds
Stay airbourne by jumping on the bubbles that rise up from the ground. If you
just stand and watch the time run out, you'll see that are 6 spawn points for
the bubbles, that run from the left side of the pillar, to the sign post. The
bubbles spawn 2 or 4 seconds apart, and it's usually best to jump onto a new
bubble as soon as possible. Make sure you don't let the bubble take you too
high before jumping, or you'll land on the overhead platform, and fail the
Mission.
Beating the Mission opens a shortcut to Stage 10
--
Stage 6 : Pirate Hunter Zoro
Opponent : Zoro
Battlefield : Grove #1
Another sparring match, against a slightly-stronger Zoro
1 - Clear the stage! [Unlock : Zoro]
2 - KO Zoro using a Special Move
3 - Clear the Stage with Sanji
Clearing this stage unlocks both Zoro, and the first Shop in the game. You
should already have enough money to buy everything on sale. Make sure you buy
both of Luffy's Special Moves, then come back to this stage and KO Zoro using
one of them.
--
Stage 7 : Takoyaki For Hatchan
Opponent : Luffy / Usopp
Battlefield : Grove #1
1 - Eat 8 Takoyaki [Unlock : Hatchan]
2 - Eat 8 Takoyaki
3 - Eat 8 Takoyaki
4 - Eat 20 Takoyaki
Every 10 seconds, a row of cannons will appear, and shoot the Takoyaki in
question into the middle of the stage. The can land on either the upper or
lower platform, and will either be coloured orange or purple. The purple
Takoyaki doesn't count towards your total, and will paralyze you for a few
seconds. An additional Takoyaki can be found in the barrels that appear in the
lower area, and ontop of the building to your left.
The best strategy is to take your powered-up Luffy character to this stage,
beat your opponents to a pulp as soon as possible, and then freely wander
around, collecting the Takoyaki. The randomness of the spawns can be a bit
cruel, so it may take a few tries to get all 20.
--
Stage 8 : Battle Points
Opponent : Nami / Zoro
Battlefield : Grove #1
1 - Get 2 Battle Points
2 - Get 4 Battle Points
3 - Get 6 Battle Points
4 - ?
Each player gains 2 Battle Points for KOing an opponent, and loses 1 Battle
Point for being KO'd. The points will only be awarded to the character who
deals the killing blow.
Choose Zoro, and try to keep Nami and Zoro seperated. Use your BBB combs to
switch between them. When both are knocked out, run around grabbing powers ups,
and let them fight between themselves until they get down to 50% health, before
running in, and spamming them both with BBB combos. The more you can keep them
seperated, the less likely they are to steal your killing blows.
-
-
Stage 9 : Captain Usopp
Opponent : Usopp
Battlefield : Sabaody Park
1 - Clear the stage [Unlock : Usopp]
2 - Perform at least 1 throw
3 - Summon at least 1 Support Character
4 - KO Usopp by throwing an item box at him
To perform a throw, press X. The 4th Mission is fairly random, as you have to
knock Usopp down to zero health, then find and throw an item box, before he
gets hit by the roller coasters speeding through the stage. To pick up an item
box, stand next to it and press X. To throw it, press B. Make sure Usopp's
health is low enough, or the box will hit him and break open, meaning the item
inside will either heal him, or kill him before you have a chance to find
another box.
--
Stage 10 : Amusement Expedition
Opponent : Luffy
Battlefield : Sabaody Park
1 - Clear the stage as Chopper
2 - Clear the stage as Kizaru
You'll be playing as Chopper for the first time. Chopper's BBB combo is hard to
land, but absolutely devestating. Make some distance between yourself and
Luffy, and then dash in and spam the combo. If you connect with the first hit,
the combo is unblockable.
--
Stage 11 : Bartholomew Kuma Appears
Opponent : Kuma
Battlefield : Sabaody Park
1 - Survive with 25% or more health
2 - Survive with 50% or more health
3 - Score a KO against Kuma
4 - Survive with 90% or more health
The best character to use if your beefed-up Luffy. If you have Monkey D Dragon,
make sure you put him in your crew for this fight. All you have to do here is
survive. Run back and forth across both upper platforms, and grab the health
power-ups that appear between them. Hopefuly, at this point you'll have raised
Luffy's health stat so high that you can afford to take a hit or two from Kuma,
and still survive with 90% remaining. If you get into a scrape, you use use
Dragon's attack, or Luffy's Invincible Dash to get out of trouble.
Once you've got the 3 survival Missions, Go back as Zoro, and use a combination
of BBB combos and throws, to get the KO.
--
Boss : Admiral Kizaru
Opponent : Kizaru
Battlefield : Grove #1
1 - Clear the stage [Unlock : Kizaru]
2 - KO Kizaru within 30 seconds
3 - KO Kizaru within 15 seconds
4 - ?
A straightforward fight. 30 seconds is possible, but you'll need to come back
here later, to get the last 2 objectives.
Once you've cleared the boss fight, remember to go back to the earlier stages,
and clear up a few loose ends, starting with Stage 10, in which you'll play as
Kizaru, and then the hidden Stage 13, which unlocks as a result of glorious
Kizau victory!
--
Stage 12 : The 11 Supernovas
Opponent : Luffy / Zoro
Battlefield : Sabaody Park
1 - Clear the stage as Kizaru
2 - KO 3 Supernova characters [Unlock : Urouge]
3 - Clear the stage within 20 seconds [New route]
Don't even attempt this without a lvl 8 Kizaru. The best place to farm is the
Kizaru boss fight. Kizaru is a bit different from the starting characters, in
that be doesn't have a spammable BBB combo, and relies on finding an opening to
attack. The best strategy is to dash away from Luffy and Zoro, and then hit the
[down-forward B] sword combo, as they run towards you. Most of the time, you'll
catch them both in the combo, as well as any support characters they happen to
have out.
The second Mission involves killing 3 different Supernovas, which Zoro and
Luffy will be using as support characters. This will usually happen during the
normal course of the fight.
Once you can kill Zoro and Luffy, this stage becomes the best place to level up
Kizaru, until you have enough Attack Power to pull off the 20 second Mission.
The best strategy is to try and trap Zoro and Luffy on the lower part of the
stage, and spam the sword combo. Hopefuly, they'll stay on the bottom level,
where all 3 of you can get hit by the roller coaster, making it a much quicker
fight.
--
Stage 13 : Shichibukai and Admirals
Opponent : Kizaru / Kuma
Battlefield : Grove #1
1 - KO 2 Opponents
2 - KO an opponent using a Support Character
3 - Clear the stage without getting KO'd
4 - ?
This is an easier fight than the previous, and you can pick up the first 3
Missions in a single run. Pick Monkey "Lots Of Health" Luffy, and keep Kizaru
and Kuma seperated. Once you've KO'd one, make yourself some room, and knock
the other down to zero health, before spamming all 3 support characters. When
they KO the second opponent, run upto the top platform, and try to avoid any
further confrontation. If it gets too hectic, make use of Luffy's invincible
dash, or drop down to the bottom level, and wait for the timer to run out.
If you didn't level up Luffy's Health stat early enough, you can grind the boss
stage now, in order to level him upto 20 health.
1 - Clear the stage with 25% of your health remaining
2 - Clear the stage with 50% of your health remaining
3 - Clear the stage with 75% of your health remaining
4 - KO an opponent
Another survival fight for Luffy and Dragon. Get to the top-right of the screen
as soon as it's safe. Wait for the Pacifistas to catch up with you, and then
drop down to the bottom-right. Use Luffy's normal dash to get to the building
on the left, and then jump back upto the "safe spot" at the top right. If any
of the Pacifista amnush you, use the invincible dash [Y+F F] to get past them,
and run around as normal. Even if you get hit, Luffy should have enough health
to pick up all 3 Missions in one go.
The KO Mission is possible now with Kizaru, but much easier if you come back
later, with a higher level character.
