Hey there, I go by the name AshenREAPER and am a regular here on this Naruto
games forum. After thinking about it for a while I decided to make an in-depth
FAQ for this game. Seeing as it’s already got a normal walkthrough, I thought a
compilation of the useful information that we've gone over time and again on
the board would be useful. That way hopefully we stop sounding like broken
records explaining it time and again to the newbies and the noobs.^_^ This'll
be a spoiler free FAQ that'll say nothing about the story or bosses. Oh, but
hey, if anyone wants to help me I could use help on the Kumite winnings and the
Theatre combinations. Or if anyone else has something they think should be
added to this, just post and ask or provide. I'll credit you for it just as
long as it's nothing story related. Probably the closest I'd get to that is
winnings for mid-boss and boss matches or if there's anything in the Frequently
Asked Questions section. I'm too lazy to do a full walkthrough, go see
sixthsage's walkthrough if you need help like that.
Alright, I have gone through the trouble of pulling all this information
together, but most of the info here is because of our other regular forum
goers.
The Frequently Asked Questions Section (F.A.Q.) is thanks to
Drewalot(or Drake), and who ever else posted questions and answers there,
such as Medz, Hojo, lightsaction, and myself.
The Jonin rank kumite winnings were posted thanks to 3500z, and Chunin Rank
along with a few Genin rank kumites are thanks to Rajam.
A great thanks goes to ChidoriShuriken for his help on the Summonings Jutsu
section. Without his help there, the section would've taken a long while to
complete.
TSC stats, tags, and equipment information is all credit and courtesy of
MADGENIUS_Hojo.
I gotta thank Phantom and 3500z for our creation of the Strategy tips thread.
And then of course GuilmonDX(AKA: Cloud Strife) for his most useful information
on the Professor and Taijutsu Master tags and how they work.
Thanks goes to ChidoriShuriken for his better explanation for how to do the
normal chakra build.
Thanks goes to the people who posted in the cheats section for this game on
GameFAQs. It's because of them we know how to unlock anyone.
And thanks goes to Toma RNK for catching a spelling error and Kazzim for
letting me know I made an error on the tags list. And God save Rocklee! I
knew I put GameSTOP in here somewhere instead of GameSPOT! x ( Thanks Lee I
owe ya one for that, just don't say money, I'm not THAT giving. :P I hate
spelling errors guys, any kind of error actually. If you find any more tell
me. ;)
And lastly, thanks goes to the people and companies who made this awesome
game possible. Now lets just hope to *insert higher diety of your choice here*
that they make another one just like it minus the kinks and a new storyline.
I gotta, say this compilation is only possible because of you guys and your
contributions on the forum. ;)
4. -------- Character Jutsu --------------------------------------------[CJTS]
Alright guys heads up, this is the only thing in here that's all me. I was able
to figure out what Jutsu are considered Taijutsu, and Ninjutsu. To also have
this be a complete list of Jutsu I'll include Genjutsu and Buffs, I will also
include what summons the character can use, but I'll describe the Summoning's
attacks later. I'll sort this by character. I originally wasn't going to add in
Anbu, but then I realized that there are a few moves only Anbu can use, so
Anbu's at the end. Next to each attack I'll place either a:
[T] For taijutsu
[N] For ninjutsu
[G] For Genjutsu
[B] For a Buff
[S] If it's a summoning
Hopefully this'll answer people's questions concerning what jutsu are taijutsu
and ninjutsu, and help us know what the Professor and Taijutsu Master tags
ACTUALLY powerup. Just below I've created a little section that describes What
the 5 different jutsu types are and how to recognize them.
A Few things you should know before you comment or read further.
1) I will say this now, I'm 100% sure everything I have here so far is correct.
If there's a jutsu that I missed, or if there's another Jutsu that seems to act
differently than it's meant to, or if you think I should add something to a
description of a move, just post in the forum. Please don't ask me to add a
description for every move in the game. Most of them blatantly say what they
do, other moves don't always say that they have an extra effect.
2) THERE ARE SOME JUTSU THAT BREAK THE RULES!
I don't want anyone posting saying, "Umm, no. Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu isn't
a ninjutsu." WRONG I'll post once for you to read this and this line exactly.
There are Ninjutsu that act like Taijutsu and Vice Versa. If you actually look
yourself, if you ever get your jutsu sealed, you'll notice that anything not
sealed is a Taijutsu move, maybe a genjutsu move, a buff move, but ALL NINJUTSU
MOVES ARE SEALED! You'll also notice that moves like Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu
are also powered up by professor. Another good example is Hidden Lotus which IS
powered up by Taijutsu Master only but acts and does exactly what a ninjutsu
move does. If you come across any other moves like this that I don't mention in
the list, post and let me know. It's rare and extremely hard to get a chance to
test things like that on WiFi, and impossible in game.
Some of the most powerful attacks, but they can miss or be reflected. Take note
that if your character has the sealed Jutsu status ailment, Taijutsu attacks
can still be used. Beware, the Blind status ailment can be annoying for
characters that main Taijutsu attacks. These moves are powered up by the
Taijutsu Master tag, EVEN IF THEY ACT LIKE NINJUTSU! Also note that normal
attacks are considered Taijutsu. If the move acts like Ninjutsu, Blind status
is not a factor, but ATK raising moves or items will not power it up.
These moves never miss and pierce through guards like Needle Jizo and Palms
Rotation. Some of these attacks may carry a genjutsu effect. All Ninjutsu
moves and most Genjutsu and healing moves can be sealed by the Sealed Jutsu
status ailment and the curse Mark equipment. All with this attribute except
Escape Jutsu are powered up by the Professor tag, EVEN IF THEY ACT LIKE
TAIJUTSU! If the move acts like Taijutsu, then ATK raising moves or items used
in battle will also power it up.
These moves heal HP, or status problems. I will exclude from this section
moves that steal HP and Chakra from the opponent. Be warned, almost all
healing class jutsu can be sealed by the Sealed Jutsu status ailment.
Attacks that cause status effects(Includes Instant Death and Fatal damage
moves). I will exclude Ninjutsu moves that cause a genjutsu effect. Beware,
as I mentioned before, Most Genjutsu moves can be sealed and made unusable by
the sealed Jutsu status ailment.
This section contains moves that increase stats, or give you some other kind of
positive status (i.e. Shadow clone Jutsu, Sharingan, Sand Shield, etc.).
Anything that can be cleared by a Wind Devastation, or Great Windblast Jutsu is
considered a buff. Beware once again of sealed jutsu status, some but only some
buffs are made unusable by it.
1. The main kind of summonings are creatures you call upon to fight for you.
These summons cannot be performed under sealed Jutsu status. Be cautious when
using summons, using them will in some way mess up your turn order so be
careful not to summon at the wrong time or you'll end up skipping a character
that you need to go, say to heal maybe. These Summons carry their own attacks
which I will go over in a later section.
2. The second kind of summon is a little different. These can be summoned even
if you're suffering from sealed jutsu status. These summons are placed on your
opponents side of the field and either attack or move to the row or column an
enemy character is on when it's the summons turn. These summons are not
controlled by you and only have 1 attack that they will perform when an enemy
is in their range of attack.
You can use both these kinds of summons at the same time.
[H] -- Family Secret Ointment --- Heals Team Members HP and CHK Fully!
Heals Hinata's HP only, Does not cure
status problems
_____
Neji:\__________________________________________________________________
Rules for this section are the same as the character jutsu section. However,
there are some exceptions.
1. There are only Taijutsu and Ninjutsu attacks. summons do not use buffs or
genjutsu, but usually at least one of their attacks carry a special effect.
2. If their move is Ninjutsu, it will not act like taijutsu and vice versa.
It's one or the other. Things would be different if you could attach tags to
them, or cast genjutsu problems on them, or even use buffs or items on them.
But since you can't do any of that their attacks are either one, or the other.
Only these two types will be used for this section:
[N] -- Adamantine Prison Walls --- May Immobilize Enemy
6. -------- Top Secret Character Stats ---------------------------------[TSST]
This section will cover Hojo's find on TSC stats. TSC meaning Top Secret
Characters for those who don't know. Hojo HAS given me permission to write this
into my FAQ, but credit still goes to him for the find. Now something not too
many people may know about is that there are two, that's right, 2 kinds of TSC.
The normal kind, and then the TSC enhanced by Hojo's pill code. Normally you
can't give a TSC stat raising pills, but for those who used that code it also
made your TSC stronger. This FAQ also shows what your stats will look like at
Highest or Lowest Morale. Remember people, morale IS VERY important. It gives
your characters ATK, DEF, and AGI stats a 30+/- point boost.
7. -------- Top Secret Character tags ----------------------------------[TSTG]
Another great find by MADGENIUS_Hojo. These are the tags equipped to TSC. Sadly
although you can see what they are, you still can't change them. If you could,
I'd fix Kisame's tag set. I'll provide a small description of the tags that you
supposedly can't get normally in the game.

Alright the next two sections are dedicated to the Kumites and their
winnings. Next to the winnings I'll place a small description of
what the item is: (Med. Pill), (Tag), (Card), (Item),
(Morale Item), (Battle only item), (Weapon), (Armor), or (shoe).
Thanks goes to 3500z for his posting of the Jonin Rank winnings,
and to Rajam_Bop for his posting of Chunin rank winnings.
I'll display things like so for both Kumite and limited Kumite modes:
Kumite Name:
(Genin Rank) ----------- ?(Morale Item)
(Chunin Rank)----------- ?(Med. Pill)
(Jonin Rank) ----------- ?(Tag)

(Jonin Rank) ----------- Scaredy-Cat (Tag)
-A Visit from Gamachu!:
(Genin Rank) ----------- Medical Food Pills (Item)
(Chunin Rank)----------- Summon Toad Scroll (Battle only item)
To start things off for this section, I'll post about two of the hardest
Kumites in this game. They are the only Kumites that actually rely on luck and
a good strategy to get a Jonin Rank. You can beat pretty much all other kumites
on power alone and still get Jonin rank except for these two. At least right
now I can't remember any other impossible ones.
_________________________
To get Jonin on the limited Kumite Pure Destruction-
My last strategy dabbled too much in probability. This time, make sure you have
Naruto's or Neji's leader bonus going for ya. Now immediately at the start of
the battle use Akimitchi 3 colored pill. You may want to stock up on these by
beating the Battle Formation: Ino-Shika-Cho! kumite and getting Jonin rank.
Immediately after the Hokage should move. With any luck he'll move to the front.
Here's where things get simple, just wail on him. But there's a catch. Chances
are that in order for you to get Jonin rank, you'll need to score AT LEAST 1
critical hit. Hopefully you'll get at least 1 seeing as Orochimaru has Eagle
Eyes tag equipped, your odds should be better if you have Neji's leader bonus
equipped. You could potentially beat this in 4-5 moves depending on if you get
1 or 2 critical hits.
To get Jonin on the limited Kumite Stop Mizuki-
Mizuki has a habit of always moving in front of you on his next turn and always
staying in the front. This makes it easy to tell where he's going to move. On
your first turn move to the back and use Perimeter barrier if he's not in the
front. If he's already in the front use Kunai bomb jutsu. For the rest of the
battle just go back and forth between 2 spaces and ONLY 2 spaces in the back
row. If you do this and use only Kunai bomb jutsu each time he goes back to a
space where you've previously used Kunai bomb on him, a hidden bomb will
explode dealing him heavy damage. If at any time you get 2 turn in a row, use
the second turn to stay still and either heal or Perimeter barrier him to
death.

12. -------- Basic Concepts/Hints for Strategies for use on WiFi -------[STRT]
These are 24 useful tips for WiFi battles. Keep them in mind and you'll do
great. If you have any more you think should be added just post. Thanks goes to
Drewalot, 3500z, Phantom, Cloud Strife, MADGENIUS_Hojo, and me for these tips.
And before anyone dares to question the validity of these tips or the FAQ
section, I'd like you to know that they were posted by people with more wins
and points than you could dream of, and have a loss total small enough to fit
in your pocket!
Alright, the next 6 tips are a basic prerequisite for having good WiFi battles.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Tip #1
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
I would recommend using level 99 characters on WiFi, even when on fixed level
battles. Your NIN stat is not reduced by battling on fixed levels on WiFi.
The higher you NIN the more tags you can equip which still gives higher level
characters the advantage, even in fixed battles. To level up fast go fight the
Moya Bros. For information on them go to the FAQs section.
Tip #2
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Make sure you max out all your characters on all different kinds of Chinese
Med. Pills. You can find where and what rank you can win these pills from the
Kumite and Limited Kumite winnings sections
Tip #3
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
You say highest Morale I say STAT BONUSES. Highest Morale. Stat bonuses. Need I
say more. Ah, I will. Keep in mind, having highest Morale only gives stat
bonuses to that character. If you need a way to up the morale of your
characters you have two options. A) Go to the theatre. B) Get Genin rank in
most limited Kumites. I'd recommend winning Fourth Hokage or Sannin's Bromide.
Check the Limited Kumite winnings section for details.
Tip #4
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Equip the appropriate ninja tags that complement your strategy. Try to leave
out anything unnecessary.
Tip #5
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Make sure you have the best equipment on your WiFi team. If this means you take
all the Weapons, Armor, and Shoes off your othercharacter, then do it! Going on
WiFi with second rate stuff is going to get you killed. Also, if you're
wondering why someone elses character is faster than yours even though you have
that character built for speed, keep in mind it could be their equipment.
Having Ninja suit for Armor instead of Hokage Mail will make your character
faster at the cost of a lot of defense, but hey, you never gain without taking
some risk.
Tip #6
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Pick your Leader bonus wisely. Unlike the in-game battles where you can
typically do with just Naruto's leader ability, WiFi will need a LOT more
planning on this aspect.
Example:
Lee's leader bonus is the most well known, and it ups the speed of characters
by around 40 points, give or take a few.
Although 3rd Hokage is a TSC his leader bonus and stats are actually decent.
His ability lets you up ALL the stats of your characters. It may not boost the
speed as much as Lee's ability, but the difference is only like 10 points or
so. It's up to you to decide.
If you haven't met all of those conditions don't even bother asking why you're
still losing.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Tip #7
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Keep your characters in the back to reduce damage taken from enemies. Only move
to the front when you're about to attack. And don't restrict yourself to the
lightning formation because it ups your ATK power. There are other formations
out there, one of the best doesn't up any stats or resistances, but it's still
10x more useful.
Tip #8
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Do NOT D/C on other players!
Tip #9
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Master the use of the alternate feature. Don't let your 4th guy just be there
to hang out until the end, make sure your alternate is apart of your strategy.
Tip #10
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Some characters have moves that don't require the need to move to the front to
do optimum damage. Temari's Cyclone scythe Jutsu or Itachi's Amaterasu can be
done from the back row instead and still deals the same amount of damage. The
same can be said about those who have attacks with Fire style: or Water Style:
in their names. Keep this in mind as you build your team.
Tip #11
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
For the love of god! Do not summon until you know your opponents Enma summoning
characters are dead. Also, do NOT summon Enma until you have taken down the
other teams Enma summoning character, or taken down Enma himself. Enma is what
I call a summon killer, his Adamantine Nyoi can take out summons with very
little chakra build. His downside? He can only take 1 good hit, maybe two.
Take advantage of his uses, but do it wisely.
Tip #12
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Using the information I provided in the Jutsu section, use it to figure out
which tags should be put on your character. The Taijutsu Master and Professor
tags are two of the most useful tags in the game. Depending on which tag you
have equipped, certain jutsu will gain a 100+ point increase in damage
depending on which of those tags powers it up. Credit goes to
GuilmonDX(aka Cloud Strife) for this find which is truly one of the most
important in the game.
Tip #13
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
When you come up against the strong players you're going to need more than just
speed and attack. You need defense as well, I'd recommend trying to not let
your defense stat fall below 450. Try testing things out by putting different
tags on your characters.
Tip #14
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Don't limit yourself to only the use of one type of character. TSC may look
good, but the inability to customize them makes them near worthless on WiFi.
Even if you've grown out of TSC don't just play with some of the characters.
Actually test out other characters, and maybe you'll discover something you
didn't know before.
Examples:
1) Hinata's is a good healer and depending how you build her she can be the
savior of anyone’s team.
2) Gaara's Defense is truly better than all the rest, better yet his attacks
will do more damage the higher his defense is, but don't go neglecting his
attack stat or you'll regret it.
Tip #15
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Having a healer in your team is generally useful.
Tip #16
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Having a character that can do hidden leaf shield is also good.
Tip #17
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Characters with attack up status can do a LOT of damage with taijutsu attacks
(competition pills or raise attack jutsu will do this). Taijutsu that act as
Ninjutsu(i.e Lee's Hidden Lotus) or Ninjutsu attacks, are not powered up by
attack raising pills or buffs.
Tip #18
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Try out other jutsu to see if they're useful to your strategy. For example:
- IQ200 allows your team to attack from the back and deal the same damage as if
they were in the front.
- Great Wind Blast or Wind Devastation can erase any bonuses your opponent may
possess.
Tip #19
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Don't go neglecting your genjutsu. These are moves that cause status
ailments(including Sudden Death or Fatal Damage), although they are not
accurate and are completely worthless in the actual storyline, over WiFi they
can throw your opponent for a loop. It probably isn't safe to completely rely
on them as there is no way to increase the chances of a status ailment actually
taking effect, but I can't remember the number of times my characters have been
stunned and me having to waste turns healing them. I've also been almost
completely annihilated by someone using Silent Kill.
Tip #20
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Practice your chakra build skills. You can rub the A button rather than rubbing
the screen. Or better yet, you can do both. Just flip the DS upside down in
your hand and rub the screen with your stylus in your right hand and the A
button with you left hand at the same time.Do that for the normal build and
you'll do great. Then for the chakra rotation build, rotate the D-Pad in the
same direction as you're told on screen, and at the same time rotate the wheel
on screen the exact same way. This'll help you do a lot better. For the keep
the bar in the box chakra build either rubbing the screen or pressing the
A button will do. On an ending note, to rub the buttons well is difficult to
do with just your finger, use a cloth or some kind of fabric to rub the
buttons of your DS really fast.
Tip #21
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Moves like substitution, Byakugan, and Sharingan helps dodge/reflect Taijutsu
or Ninjutsu that acts like Taijutsu. If your opponents strategy is to wail on
you with Taijutsu moves, these statuses can help you send damage right back
at them.
Tip #22
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
If you think moves with Fire Style:, Water style:, etc. in their name are
completely useless in this game, then guess again. Although they do not produce
a grand amount of damage unlike most other attacks, they still bear their
usefulness. These moves completely ignore the defense stat of enemy characters,
on the downside they also ignore your attack stat. This means that althogh they
can't do that much damage there are still ways to make them more powerful.
And at the same time there are ways to make sure these attacks don't do as much
damage. The rest is for you to figure out, but I can assure you they are not
all worthless moves.
Tip #23
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
Someone once told me that strategy is like writing out a script for how you
want a battle to go. But the key is to keep your opponent following your
script and that you don't end up following theirs. To do this requires critical
thinking, the ability to think outside of the box, if only to some degree. He
also said that sticking to the same strategy over and over again isn't wise,
each strategy will naturally have a weakness of some kind, and with that no
1 strategy is invincible.
Tip #24
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
It's impossible for even a pro to fit all of the above tips into his WiFi
strategy. In other words, this is a word of caution to anyone who's planning on
cramming everything they learn here into 1 team. All you'll make is a mess.
These tips and the information in the FAQs section, are both simply tips to
keep in mind as you create your own strategy. As long as you make the
preparations we mentioned earlier in this secton and keep the rest of these
tips in mind, then all that's left is building a real strategy and that's your
job.

These are all of the codes that I've seen out for this game. Credit for their
creation goes to whoever made them. If Hojo makes anymore codes that he feels
are worth posting I'll add it in here too. Or if someone else has a code worth
having in here, either post or PM it to me, whichever you prefer.

14. -------- Frequently Asked Questions for this game ------------------[NPFQ]
This was created courtesy of drewalot(or Drake, whatever you want to call him).
But due to a lack of sticky requests the thread is now buried in the forum.
Thanks goes to Drewalot, Hojo, Medz, and myself for this. Questions that I felt
should be added in have also been placed in here, so thanks goes to 3500z and
Rajam for the new questions. If you have a question that this FAQ doen't answer
post it. If it's a question this FAQ doesn't answer it could and probably will
be inserted in here. Some of these questions are purposely repeated from the
Battle tips section.
And before anyone dares to question the validity of these tips or the FAQ
section, I'd like you to know that they were posted by people with more wins
and points than you could dream of, and have a loss total small enough to fit
in your pocket!
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
1. Q: How do I beat the Final Boss?
A: You need people around level 60. The lowest level characters that I've heard
of defeat the final boss were level 55, and the person who did that has played
this game thorugh... What was it, 6 times now 3500z? According to 3500z, the
best way to do it is have a healer, and have someone use Hidden Leaf Shield.
People don't seem to know how important or useful that move truly is. It's also
recommended to have at least 5 General Release Scrolls as this boss does have a
move that can potentially inflict every possible status ailment at once. Now
on an ending note, KEEP YOUR HEALER IN THE BACK ROW! I can't stress this
enough. Having your team in lightning formation in the front row isn't worth it
if your healer keeps getting killed and you're going to run out of revival
items sooner or later. The battle may take a little longer to complete if
you're not in the front in lightning formation, but hey it's better than
losing.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
2. Q: Can someone lose to me so I can get a regional card?
A: No!
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
3. Q: What do all these abbreviations stand for?
A: TSC means Top Secret Character(s), meaning the characters which you cannot
see their stats. all you see is big red text saying TOP SECRET. AR means Action
Replay. Action Replay is a cheating device for DS. D/C means Disconnecting.
This means that if you turn your DS off during a battle just as your about to
lose, It will disconnect the battle neither giving you a win or a loss.
D/C'ing is very frowned upon. ATK means attack, DEF means defense, AGI means
agility, STA means Stamina, CHK means Chakra, and Nin means Ninja power.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
4. Q: Why do people D/C?
A: For most people, it's Because they want the "Perfect Record". Sounds
childish if you ask me. For others, it's because they lost to you or someone
like you and don't want to fight you again. Or, for the real poor sports, you
used a summoning, or a cheap combo and they didn't like it so they don't want
to fight you anymore. I'll say this once, if you're going to D/C don't even
bother playing. You're a waste of time and fun for others. If you're going to
lose and not learn anything from it at all, that's your problem, but D/Cing
because you can't win is one of the lowest things you can do in this game.
It's not hard to learn from your battles, I started ot with 5 straight losses,
now I still have less than 50 losses and have more than 999 wins, all because
I learned from my battles, heck I've even beaten Cloud a couple of times(If
you don't know who he is refer to a later question). If I can do it so can
you, so what need is there to D/C on others.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
5. Q: How do I get All the unlockable characters part 1:
How do I get BOTH Kakashi and Guy?
A: Well there are only two ways to get them both legitimately:
1) you go to kakashi's house after the game and choose to get him instead of
Guy. Then you go to Konohamaru and unlock Guy with Guy's passcode:
I K A G D E F L Unlocks Gai
2) If you instead choose to get Guy from Kakashi's house, the only other way
to get Kakashi is to get his Ninja info card from a friend who also has the
game. There's no other way to get him otherwise by legitimate means.
(!WARNING!: Do NOT unlock Guy from konohamaru first! Get Kakashi first and then
unlock Guy. If you unlock Guy first YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO GET KAKASHI. Period.)
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
6. Q: How do I get All the unlockable characters part 2:
How do I unlock everyone else?
A: I'm actually surprised I have seen this question at all, but I do see it
and each time the answer is the same refer to the cheats section on GameFAQs.
I assume people then do that cause usually I don't see people post the question
a second time. But the fact that people post and ask at all is a great mystery
to me. Anyways, seeing as I'm nice enough to do so, I will now add in the way
to get the unlockable characters here too.
Option A - Unlock the secret characters by meeting certain conditions first.
Gaara - Get a Jonin Rank on the Mission "The Power of Shukaku!"
Kankuro - Defeat the Mission "I Challenge This Guy!" Rank doesn't matter
Temari - Defeat the Mission "Anki Vs. The Wind User" Rank doesn't matter
Itachi - Get Jonin rank on the mission "The Last of the Uchiha Clan"
Kisame - Get Jonin rank on the mission "The Messenger from Dawn"
Zabuza - Win 100 matches in Special Survival Kumite
Sasuke - Win 1 regional card and Talk to the guy left to Anko
Jiraiya - Play 10 rounds(doesn't matter win or lose)
Haku - Get 10 regional cards
Tsunade - Play 20 rounds(doesn't matter win or lose)
CS2 Sasuke - Get 30 regional cards
OTK Naruto - Get 100 Wi-fi points
This is the easy way to get unlockable characters. Use Konohamaru to input
these passcodes:
D K F I A B J L - Unlocks Gaara
J G D L K A I B - Unlocks Iruka
G B E I D A L F - Unlocks Itachi Uchiha
E B J D A G F L - Unlocks Jiraiya
A L J K B E D G - Unlocks Kankuro
G J H L B F D E - Unlocks Kyuubi Naruto
A H F B L E J G - Unlocks Orochimaru
H F I C L K B G - Unlocks Temari
C G H A J B E L - Unlocks The Third Hokage
Thanks goes to whoever posted these in the cheats section.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
7. Q: Where do I obtain the Famous Blade Ticket, Secret Blade Ticket, Fourth
Hokage Ticket, and the Akatsuki Ticket?
A: You can get the secret Blade Ticket through Konohamaru's password after the
game. As for the rest, you can get them from the Action Replay codes. But hey,
if you do happen to find one of those tickets in game, whether you win it by
beating someone or something, find it in a chest, discover a passcode no one
ever knew about, don't hesitate to prove me wrong on this.
C, F, J, H, I, L, E, G - Unlocks Secret Blade Ticket. Give to Shizune after
the game.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
8. Q: Other than characters, is there something else I can unlock after I beat
the game?
A: Yes, but there aren't too many things.
Rasengan (Tag) - Get 5 Regional Cards and talk to the guy left to Anko
Enma (Tag) - Unlock Enma by collecting 20 Regional Cards.
There are a few other things you can unlock by getting enough points or
regional cards but they aren't anything that you can't get elsewhere. Namely
Chinese Med. Pills of some kind
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
9. Q: What are some AR codes?
A: They're in another section somewhere in this FAQ. Use your super special
awesome skills and figure out where.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
10. Q: What are all the names of the Ninja Tags?
A: Again, somewhere in this FAQ in another section.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
11. Q: How do I get the Ninja tag Battle Summon: Rock Toad/ Black Toad/ Ninja
Turtle?
A: Oh, that’s easy... Don't ask. No one knows. You can get them from the
Action Replay codes. But hey, if you find out where they are in game don't
hesitate to say so.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
12. Q: Where can I find all the Chinese Medicine pills?
A: You can get them from Kumite battles and against the Haze Ninja. I'd
recommend checking the Limited Kumite winnings section.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
13. Q: What's a good team to use over WiFi?
A: Experiment on your own, you'll learn better and faster that way(hopefully).
The only thing I'll really say on this subject is that TSC are over hyped and
over rated on WiFi. Seriously, they'd be much better if you could customize
them. But since you can't...
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
14. Q: What’s the Lee/Tenten combo everyone's talking about, and what's so
good/bad about it?
A: Think about it, Lee the fastest character in the game switching to Tenten
right away, and then Tenten using Rising Twin Dragons. It's a very effective
combo that was overpowered by the games creators. If you use it don't get
cocky there are plenty of ways to beat it. Some have been known to D/C on people
who use this combo.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
15. Q: What are some good tags to put on my Anbu?
A: Again, experiment! Find what works out best for you and your strategy, and
try to leave out anything unnecessary. Remember, when it comes to strategy, the
biggest, baddest moves you can find and equip won't help you much. Without
decent stats your Anbu won't even get a move. And Vice Versa, don't build up
your Anbu's stats and not give it any attacks to use. It's not hard to make
Anbu the fastest in the game instead of Lee, but at a cost you won't have any
NIN left to attach many attacks to use, leaving you with an Anbu with no real
way of defending itself if your other characters are downed.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
16. Q: I remember winning a tag, it was. ST: something and now I can't seem to
find it. Was it some kind of glitch?
A: No, it's not a glitch. ST: tags are tags you can only put on your Anbu. If
you don't have an Anbu yet, you get him/her after you beat the game.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
17. Q: So I heard you can pick either a male of female Anbu after you beat this
game right. So which one's better?
A: Neither one is really any better than the other. All of their stats are the
exact same, and both can equip the same tags and equipment. The only known
difference is that the Female anbu is not affected by sexy jutsu.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
18. Q: What is "morale" and should I bother trying to raise it?
A: Stat bonuses anyone? seriously, 20+ point bonus to ATK, DEF, and AGI. ;)
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
19. Q: How do I get a Jonin rank on the Kumite battles "Stop Mizuki!" and "Pure
Destruction"?
A: I went over that in the Limited Kumite section. Go check
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
20. Q: Who is Cloud Strife?
A: Cloud Strife is one of the strongest NPOTN 2 players there are. On the the
GameFAQs NPOTN 2 board, he is a kind of living legend alongside ItachiLvrX.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
21. Q: Do those guys use some kind of cheating device to do chakra builds to
the max almost instantly?
A: I explain good chakra builds in the strategy concepts section.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
22. Q. Is there a difference between Hinata's H-Hang in there, Temari's Fan
Telling off and a Competition Pill? Does H-Hang there and Fan Telling off also
power up Ninjutsu?
A: No, there are no ATK up status raising moves or items that will power up
Ninjutsu during battle.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
23. Q: Is there a way to heal Stat reduction statuses like AGI or ATK down?
A: Yes there is. Any healing move that says it heals ALL status problems will
also heal stat reduction problems (i.e. Release: General, Ninja Flower: Cosmos,
etc.). There aren't many of those kinds of healing moves though.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
24. Q: What does the Final Resistance tag do? It only says "Automatically
guards when you are in danger".
A: When you're characters get low enough on HP, they start to kneel down on
the ground and look out of breathe. This is the "When you are in danger" that
the tag refers to. At this point if you have the tag equipped to one of your
characters, that character will only take half the damage it normally would.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
25. Q: I thought I unlocked all of the kumites but there are still 3 of them
with "???????" that I can't seem to unlock?
A: Talk to Konohamru and enter these in after you choose the Summoning Sheet
option. Do note that UNLIKE unlockable characters, these can be used
before you complete the game.
H L B A K G C D "An Extreme Battle!" mission
F G E H I D A L "The Legendary Haze Ninja!" mission
B C E G K F H L "The Legendary Sannin!" mission
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
26. Q: Who are the Moya Bros and where can I find them?
A: *sigh* I can't believe I forgot about this question. The Moya Bros are a team
of Haze Ninja that you can't fight until after you've beaten the game. To find
them, start by heading towards the sand village from Konoha. Alright, now once
you get to the border of the forest, right where you're about to enter the
desert make a full stop and read the sign. It should say Sand Village to your
left, and ?????? to your right. Go right and across the little stream and
you'll see a Ninja Guard. If you haven't beaten the game he'll say something
like there are suspicious people past here, you don't have permission to pass.
If you have beaten the game he'll let you pass and he'll say be careful there
are suspicious people up ahead.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
27. Q: Why fight the Moya Bros?
A: There's no better place to get experience in the game. I'm not even kidding,
go anywhere else and it'll take a lot longer. 200,000 EXP points in 1 battle is
definitely worth it. But don't expect to just waltz in and have your exp handed
too you, you'll need to prepare before you battle these guys. Since there are
no save points in the area where you face these guys, it's best to bring as
many healing items as you can to restore chakra and health, probably best to
bring super brand versatile pills too. I can't stress this enough, these guys
aren't easy at first. They can easily outmatch your underleveled characters in
speed, in attacks, and so at first they can also take a hit. The best way to
fight them is to unlock and use TSC and have only 1 genin or Anbu in your
team at a time and have them as your alternate until you get them into the
high 80's or 90's and then just keep adding in Genin or Anbu to your team
until you get your characters to level 99.
I would suggest unlocking both Kakashi and Guy as explained in a earlier
question, and then use Guy as your Squad leader for his leader bonus which
nets you more exp. I'd also recommend putting exp raising tags on your
characters, hopefully it'll make things go even faster.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
28. Q: WHY!? Whenever I play on WiFi everyone seems to go before me, how do
they do it?! I'm never playing on WiFi again! It's pointless and Stupid!
A: That's right. I've heard this said maybe twice before and it is very
annoying to hear someone bash your favorite WiFi game, but sadly there are
still people who think like this... The reason people go before you is a simple
question to answer. They're faster than you. End of story. To fix it make sure
your team is level 99 for starters, then make sure their morale is maxed and
make sure you give them all the Chinese Med. Pills they can take. Step two
is giving them good equipment and a good tag set. If you come across a good
player and are constantly experiencing your characters going last, might I
suggest puting on more AGI raising tags. Maybe even switch out a character for
a faster one. Or do the complete opposite, build a defense team that can take
more than 1 hit and then take out the opponent once they've put their
characters in their vulnerable attacking poritions. But seriously, don't whine
or complain about it, cause if you go complaining about it to the wrong people
like this guy did, chances are they're going to flame you for not figuring out
something this basic. Not only that it's being a poor sport. You lost, suck it
up and learn from it. You DO learn more from a loss than from a victory.
Oh, and by the way, the last guy I saw make a topic with this complaint hadn't
even beaten this game yet. His characters were still low level and he probably
hadn't even given his characters all of their Chinese Med. Pills. You
know who you are. ^_^
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
29. Q: There's this guy, he keeps beating me! My team is built for speed and
I'm still losing this badly! That guy must be cheating! No worse he's hacking!!
A: I know this isn't a question but it should still be addressed. Don't accuse!
Unless you have proof that he's doing something that can't be normally
explained. This game has 1, maybe 2 people who play on WiFi with hacked
characters. My friend, MADGENIUS_Hojo, made a code to put any tag on any
character. Well, some people figured it out. One guy figured it out completely
and gave the code to his friend. Unlike any others who've figured it out and
were honorable enough not to use it on WiFi at all, this guy decided to hack,
and still uses it on WiFi. One of the worst things you can do is use a game
breaking hack on WiFi, it ruins the fun for everyone. HOWEVER! Again do not
accuse there are people out there who are good at this game and know how to
set up their characters perfectly enough to do just the right amount of
damage, while retaining a lot of speed. Chances are, you're fighting someone
who's really good at this game. If you accuse you will no doubt be flamed for
it by someone, probably the person you're accusing.
Well now you might ask, well how do we know this one guy's a hacker? Any team
that can deal 999 damage, with Tenten, to everyone on your team, a team that
includes a Gaara built soley for defense and sitting in the back row is
hacking. Even if you only build Tenten for ATK and have Naruto or Choji's
leader bonus going for you, you might be able to deal around a MAX of 900
damage to your opponent. If your opponent has a defense team, you might be
able to hope for a MAX of 500 damage, but 999 damage to everyone in the back
row is impossible. The only exceptions are if A) Your team isn't level 99,
B) If your team has an astoundingly low Defense which I would consider
to be in the 300's or C) If your guys aren't in the back row.
O------------------------O---------------------------O------------------------O
30. Q: Hey AshenREAPER! I've read your FAQ and WiFi battle tips sections but
I'm still losing? Why is it that it's not helping me?
A: Now there's the catch. Seeing as I've made this FAQ available to EVERYONE,
it'll help EVERYONE, not just you. These two sections merely point in the right
direction on the way to think in these battles, and are merely tips for setting
up a strategy. If you have no real strategy or way to realistically win, you're
still going to lose more often than win. A lot of people who play this game are
under the assumption that they can win with the strongest moves and the best
characters. The problem is, that's not a realistic strategy, and you will be
out manuvered and horribly defeated by people with a real strategy.
And another thing, don't be an idiot, you're not going to be able to make the
ultimate team that's ready for anything, even if you master everything this FAQ
covers. Heck in this game there is no such thing as an ultimate team, and
trying to mash everything I covered here all into 1 team is just going to make
your WiFi team a complete mess. So some of you are probably thinking, then just
shut up and give us some example strategies. NO! You should already know enough
by now, simply by reading this FAQ, to be able to make your own killer
strategies, neither I nor anyone else is goig to baby you through everything. I
know there are people who read half of this FAQ and don't even incorporate half
of what they read into their WiFi strategy. Making a strategy is your job,
finding the weaknesses in it is your job, trial and error is your job. This FAQ
is but a referrence for you.
This FAQ is for use on GameFAQs/Gamespot, the Naruto.VIZ forum, Super Cheats,
and Neoseeker. If you have questions or comments on this FAQ, post and ask or
comment in one of the forums at Naruto.viz.com or GameFAQs.com. If so much
time has gone by that I'm not there anymore, well too bad. If you see this FAQ
on another site that I have not mentioned e-mail me and let me know where so I
can get them to at least ask me kindly before taking stuff that is mine to do
with as I please.
