Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times (MQMT), released as Enchanted Folk and the
School of Wizardry in Europe, offers the player an open-ended gaming experience
for dozens, maybe hundreds, of hours over the course of a year or more.
Characteristic of its game play is the freedom to play as you like.  You can
attend classes, interior design your dorm room, and landscape, or choose not to
do any of these things.

One thing that players may find useful, though, is money, known as Ritch in
MQMT.  There are many ways to earn Ritch, some more complicated than others.
The author hopes you'll find several ways below to complement how you decide to
play Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times.

*******************************************************************************
IN THE BEGINNING
*******************************************************************************
Near the start of the game, make sure you talk to Reginald after you speak to
the School Principal.  You will receive your scholarship funds, totaling 3,000
Ritch.  Your money-making career has begun!

You received a Beige Wardrobe from Reginald.  If you are desperate for money,
you can sell the furniture.  The amount will be modest, however, so it might be
better to keep the free storage device for other purposes (like storing
berries).

*******************************************************************************
WHERE TO SELL
*******************************************************************************
You can sell furniture, clothing, and berries to Cat Sith at the Haunted House.
He appears for 24 hours on days when the date is divisible by three (e.g., the
3rd, the 6th, the 9th, etc.).

You can sell almost everything else to Malila at The Emporium.  The Emporium is
open from 9am to Midnight, each day.  Her prices may vary each day, or even
during a day, but the fluctuation usually isn't enough to justify trying to
time your sales for the maximum price.

*******************************************************************************
MUSHROOMS
*******************************************************************************
Gathering and selling mushrooms is a reliable way to earn Ritch in MQMT.

Mushrooms appear near the bases of trees throughout your town.  You will find
them on the "plateau" near the Dorm, on the lowland, on the small "plateau"
above the west stairs, in the Woods, and in the areas near the School (e.g.,
the rectangular grounds, the strip near the river, the area between the School
and the Shopping Avenue).  You can also find mushrooms in the Fungi Forest, at
Lovers Point and on the Island, though trees are not required for them to
appear there.

New mushrooms will appear six times each day.  The exact times depend on the
month:

  March, April, May:            4am,    6am, 1pm,  5pm,    7pm, 9pm
  June, July, August:           3am,    5am, 2pm,  6:30pm, 8pm, 10pm
  September, October, November: 3:30am, 6am, Noon, 4pm,    6pm, 8:30pm
  December, January, February:  4:30am, 6am, Noon, 4pm,    6pm, 8pm

New mushrooms will also appear at the beginning of Mystery Time.

Pick mushrooms by pressing the "A" button.

Look for these valuable ones:

Moonlit Mushroom (March to December; Fungi Forest, Dorm area)
Pine Mushroom (September to February; Fungi Forest)
  Truffle (December to August; Woods)
Blewit Mushroom (December to June; lowland, Island)
Laughing Jim (August to February; Dorm area, School area, Fungi Forest)

*******************************************************************************
FLOWERS
*******************************************************************************
You can gather and sell flowers to earn Ritch.

At the beginning of the game, there are dozens of flowers throughout your town.

Each day, brand new flowers can appear.  You can find two or three new flowers
outside the entrance to Fungi Forest, one or two new flowers at Lovers Point,
and, occasionally, one new flower in the Fungi Forest.

Flowers can appear randomly in your town.

Pick flowers by pressing the "A" button.

If you speak to Daisy at Daisy's Flowers, you can learn how to obtain Wonderous
[sic] Flowers.  If you plant certain flowers in particular places, they can
change color:

put Red/White/Yellow Tulips in the blue ground of the Cave for Blue Tulips
put Red/White/Yellow Marguerites in the circle of graves for Black Marguerites
put Red/White/Yellow Roses in the Woods for Pink Roses
put Red/White/Yellow May Lilies in the Fungi Forest for Orange May Lilies

Wait patiently for the transformation (it may take several days), and remember
to water the flowers if they wither.  It seems that once a Wonderous [sic]
Flower appears in a particular area, no other transformation will take place in
that particular area (i.e., one Orange May Lily in the Fungi Forest will
prevent other Orange May Lilies from appearing).

These special-colored flowers sell for materially more Ritch.

Eventually, you will learn the Mystery Bloom incantation that will allow you to
transform Wonderous [sic] Flowers into Mystery Blooms.  Cast INCANTATION-
MYSTERY-GIVE and water Wonderous [sic] Flowers in the locations where they
appeared to:

turn Blue Tulips into Red Gemflowers
turn Black Marguerites into White Skullflowers
turn Pink Roses into Red Heartflowers
turn Orange May Lilies into Yellow Candyflowers

You may need to cast the incantation for several days before the transformation
takes place.  Also, this incantation appears to work on only one Wonderous
[sic] Flower at a time in each of the four special locations.

Mystery Blooms sell for significantly more Ritch.

Certain insects appear only when there are flowers, so you may wish to keep
some flowers around town.

*******************************************************************************
FISHING
*******************************************************************************
Fishing is a consistent way to earn Ritch.

You can fish in several places:  the Island, the Beach, the lowland river, the
pond at the Ruins, near the waterfall outside the entrance to the Cave, and
inside the Cave.

Use the "R" button to equip your Fishing Rod.

Look in the water for groups of multiple ripples.  Press the "X" button to cast
your lure in the general direction of the multiple ripples.  (Press the "X"
button longer to cast your lure further.)  After the lure is cast, repeatedly
press the "X" button to intermittently reel in the lure while waiting for a
fish to appear.

You know a fish has appeared when you see a single ripple.  When the fish
notices your lure, the single ripple may turn into nearly-concentric ripples as
the fish swims toward your lure.  Continue to press the "X" button to "hook"
the fish.  Once the fish is hooked, repeatedly and quickly press the "X" button
until you reel the fish out of the water.  When you see splashing, however, you
need to either stop pressing the "X" button, or slow down the rate of pressing
the "X" button.  Resume pressing the "X" button when the splashing stops.

You cannot sell fish in MQMT.  Instead, you must convert fish to valuable items
by registering the fish with the Fish Catalog in the Tower.  You can then sell
the rewards to obtain Ritch.

Each fish you catch is randomly assigned one of eight sizes.  The sizes are
Tiny, Small, Medium, Big, Quite Big, Very Big, Huge, and Legendary.

Each species of fish is assigned to a particular schedule of rewards.  The item
you get for the size of the fish is determined by this schedule of rewards.
For example, Tunas and Horse Mackerels use these schedules:

            Tunas                         Horse Mackerels
  --------------------------      -------------------------------
    Size         Reward             Size            Reward
  ---------  ---------------      ---------  --------------------
  Legendary  Ruby                 Legendary  Gold Ore
  Huge       Red Gemflower        Huge       Crystal
Very Big   Emerald              Very Big   Pink Rose
Quite Big  Red Heartflower      Quite Big  Giant Fish Bone
Big        Lapis Lazuli         Big        Orange May Lily
  Medium     Aquamarine           Medium     Copper Ore
  Small      Turquoise            Small      Phosphorus Ore
Tiny       Amethyst             Tiny       Ancient Dragon Bones

In general, larger and rarer fish have more lucrative schedules.

Mystery Time is a great time to fish for profit, because several valuable fish
usually become available.  For example:

During June, easily find Megamouth Sharks and Archelons at the Beach.
In July, find Megamouth Sharks, Archelons, and Ocean Sunfish at the Beach.
In August, find Archelon, Ocean Sunfish, and Hammerhead Shark at the Beach.
In September, find Ocean Sunfish and Hammerhead Shark at the Beach.
In October and November, find Hammerhead Shark at the Beach.
In December, find Icthyosaurus at the Beach.

*******************************************************************************
CATCHING INSECTS
*******************************************************************************
Catching insects is also a consistent way to earn Ritch.

You can find insects in several places:  the Island, Lovers Point, the Beach,
the "plateau" area near the Dorm, the lowland, the Woods, Fungi Forest, and the
Cave.

You can find insects in several ways:  in the air, on the ground, on flowers,
hiding in flowers, on tree houses, on trees, and hiding in trees (shake the
tree to reveal the insect).

Use the "R" button to equip your Net.
Press the "X" button to swing your Net.

You cannot sell insects in MQMT.  Instead, you must convert insects to valuable
items by registering the insects with the Insect Catalog in the Tower.  You can
then sell the rewards to obtain Ritch.

Each insect you catch is randomly assigned one of eight sizes.  The sizes are
Tiny, Small, Medium, Big, Quite Big, Very Big, Huge, and Legendary.

Each species of insect is assigned to a particular schedule of rewards.  The
item you get for the size of the insect is determined by this schedule of
rewards.  For example, Giraffe Stag Beetles and Keseranpasarans use these
schedules:

      Giraffe Stag Beetles                 Keseranpasarans
  -----------------------------      ---------------------------
    Size         Reward                Size          Reward
  ---------  ------------------      ---------  ----------------
  Legendary  Diamond                 Legendary  Crystal
Huge       White Skullflower       Huge       Silver Ore
Very Big   Emerald                 Very Big   Black Marguerite
Quite Big  Sapphire                Quite Big  Pirate Bone
Big        Yellow Candyflower      Big        Blue Tulip
  Medium     Aquamarine              Medium     Tin Ore
Small      Cursed Bones            Small      Sulfur Ore
Tiny       Shade Remains           Tiny       Ogre Horns

In general, larger and rarer insects have more lucrative schedules.

Mystery Time is a great time to catch insects for profit, because several
valuable insects usually become available.  For example:

During June, look for Tsuchinokos in the Cave.
In July and August, find Rhinoceros Beetles in the Woods when not in Mystery
     Time.
In September, October, November, and December, look for Party Animal
     Katydids and Human-Faced Moths.

*******************************************************************************
BERRIES
*******************************************************************************
Selling berries can be a lucrative source of Ritch.

There are five different berries:  Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries,
Cranberries, and Strawberries.

When you begin the game, there are a few berry bushes scattered around your
town.  You can harvest these berries by standing in front of the bush and
pressing the "A" button.  Pick up the berries from the ground by also pressing
the "A" button.

Berry bushes can appear randomly in your town.

Each day, you can find one random berry on the Island.  The berry might be one
of the five berries or it might be a Rotten Berry.

You can plant berries to grow berry bushes.  You can also plant berry Seedlings
to grow berry bushes.  You can purchase only ten berry Seedlings from Daisy at
Daisy's Flowers each day.

To plant berries or berry Seedlings, first use the "R" button to equip your
Shovel.  Next, use the "L" button to open your Bag.  Use the D-pad or your
stylus to drag and drop the berry or berry Seedling to the ground near your
player.  If the caption says "Bury," your player will plant the berry or berry
Seedling.

If you don't like the place where the beginning bush appears, you can face the
beginning bush and press the "A" button to retrieve the berry Seedling.

Make sure that there is space between berry bushes and other things like other
berry bushes, cliffs, plazas, trees, etc.  The author recommends planting berry
bushes as follows (B = bush, S = space):

SSSSSS
SBSSBS
SSSSSS
SSSSSS
SBSSBS
SSSSSS

You can grow berry bushes on the "plateau" area near the Dorm, in the lowland,
the areas near the School, and the small "plateau" area above the west stairs.

Berries appear on the fourth day after planting:

  Day 0:  planting
  Day 1:  bush appears
Day 2:  bush with no berries
Day 3:  bush with no berries
  Day 4:  berries appear

Berries will stay on the bush for three days, usually long enough to sell them
to Cat Sith the next time he appears:

  Day 5:  bush with berries
  Day 6:  bush with berries
  Day 7:  berries disappear

Berries on the ground, in your Bag, on the floor of the Dorm rooms, in the
Conservatory, and in the Trash Can will turn into Rotten Berries on the next
day.  The only place to keep loose berries "fresh" is in a storage device (also
known as the Magic Chest), like a Beige Wardrobe, in a Dorm room.  Berries in a
storage device will stay "fresh" forever.

You can sell berries to Malila at The Emporium, but she will usually pay only
the minimum, 30 Ritch, for each berry.  Cat Sith, on the other hand, will pay
up to 1,500 Ritch for each berry.

Cat Sith appears for 24 hours in the Haunted House on days when the date is
divisible by three (e.g., January 3, January 6, January 9, etc.).  He's beyond
the door found in the northwest corner of the dining room.

Throughout days that Cat Sith appears, he has three prices for each berry.  The
prices depend on the time of day:

  1) Midnight to 3am/3:30am/4/4:30am (depends on month (see Mushrooms above))
  2) 3am/3:30am/4/4:30am to Noon
  3) Noon to Midnight

You can find out information about Cat Sith's berry prices by talking to
Charlie every day.

Find Charlie in the Fungi Forest between 9am and 4pm.
Find Charlie on the Beach between 4pm and Midnight.

To get prices, select Talk, then Recent Market Info.  Charlie will then reveal
three prices for each berry.  The first price is the most recent (or current)
price.  On days that Cat Sith appears, this first price will match Cat Sith's
price.

For example, during June 18, the author got these quotes from Charlie:

  927/948/969 Blueberry
  165/234/159 Blackberry
   30/ 30/ 30 Raspberry
  219/189/216 Cranberry
  567/588/615 Strawberry

Cat Sith was paying 927 Ritch for each Blueberry, 165 Ritch for each Blackberry,
etc., at the time.

Charlie's Recent Market Info prices change at Noon.

Charlie offers additional information in the form of predictions.  He offers a
prediction costing 100 Ritch, a prediction costing 500 Ritch, and a prediction
costing 1,000 Ritch.  Each player can hear only one prediction each day.

For example, here is Charlie's 1,000 Ritch prediction on June 18:

  Blueberry:  prices will plummet
  Blackberry: prices will slightly increase
Raspberry:  prices will have ups and downs
  Cranberry:  prices will be stable
  Strawberry: prices will be stable

While Recent Market Info will give you a good idea of what is happening to
prices, it's not clear how Charlie's predictions can be used.  Also, Charlie's
predictions will be different for each player on any one day.  More research
needs to be done.

So, berry bushes planted today will bear fruit four to six days in the future.
The earliest that you can then sell these berries is four to seven days in the
future (depending on today's date).

Until we can find a connection (possibly Charlie's predictions) between today's
prices (Charlie's Recent Market Info) and Cat Sith's prices four to seven days
in the future, the player is left with guessing and taking a risk.

If you don't want to "deal with" prices, you might try diversifying your
portfolio by planting an equal number of each of the five berries.  When Cat
Sith appears, sell those berries that have the highest price and store the
other berries.  Then you might try to hedge your remaining portfolio by
planting the varieties of berries you just sold.

You might use the daily Recent Market Info to decide which berries to plant.
For example, on June 18, the author decided to plant Blueberries and
Strawberries because those two varieties had the highest prices, thinking that
if their prices were to decrease, they would not decrease all the way to a
price, say, less than 100.  (On June 24, Blueberries sold for 534 Ritch and
Strawberries sold for 546 Ritch.)

Good luck!

FURNITURE
*******************************************************************************
You can get extra Ritch for your furniture.

Throughout days that Cat Sith appears, he will pay extra for furniture from a
particular Series or Theme.  The chosen Series or Theme changes depending on
the time of day:

  1) Midnight to 3am/3:30am/4/4:30am (depends on month (see Mushrooms above))
  2) 3am/3:30am/4/4:30am to Midnight

For example, Cat Sith offered the following for Restaurant furniture:

Restaurant Table:  1,776 Ritch instead of 1,030 Ritch
Restaurant Chair:  408 Ritch instead of 230 Ritch
Menu Board:  360 Ritch instead of 200 Ritch

The Series or Themes are selected, generally, in the following order:

  1) Oriental Series
  2) Japanese Theme
  3) Stripy Series
  4) Princess Series
  5) Chinese Series
  6) Daisy Series
  7) Celebrity Series
  8) Cockpit Theme
  9) Candy Series
  10) Magic Theme
  11) Chinese Series (again)
  12) Ancient Ruins Theme
  13) Research-Lab Theme
  14) Forest Series
  15) Restaurant Theme
  16) Modern Series
  17) Caveman Series
  18) Disco Theme
  19) Fairytale Theme
  20) Antique Series

To maximize this way to earn Ritch, store furniture in your Safe Deposit box
until Cat Sith pays extra.

*******************************************************************************
HAUNTED TREASURE
*******************************************************************************
You can get free items in the Haunted House.

In the Haunted House, you will find three treasure chests.  One is in the room
beyond the door to the right of the entrance foyer, one is in the room beyond
the door to the left of the entrance foyer (accessible from the southwest
corner of the dining room), and one is in the basement (accessible from the
bookcase in the far north east corner of the house).

Every Sunday, a new item appears in one of the three chests.

The Haunted House is habited by ghosts who will chase and "attack" you if they
see you.  You will also be transported out of the Haunted House if you touch or
bump into one of these ghosts.  Either quickly avoid them, or dispose of them
with Flatulence magic.  Alternately, use the Invisibility incantation:  ghosts
will not chase you.

*******************************************************************************
WORK
*******************************************************************************
You can "Work" for Malila at The Emporium for bonus Ritch.

When you select Work, Malila will ask you to bring her three items she needs to
create a particular magical material.  She will usually start a new Work
"cycle" every three days, so make sure you check with her each day to know
which items get special treatment.  Sometimes (e.g., during a particular
Mystery), she may have multiple Work "cycles" during one day.

Malila pays you double the standard value when you sell to her the items she
asks you to bring.  To maximize this way to earn Ritch, you should store items
until the time comes when Malila asks for them.  Store items in your Safe
Deposit box, in your Magic Chest, on the floor in your Dorm Room, on the ground
in the Conservatory, in the Trash Can, or on the ground outside.

Also, Malila will give you a sample of the magical material the first time you
bring her one of the requested items during a "cycle."  You can choose to sell
the sample to Malila for more Ritch.

Lastly, Malila will give you an allowance each time you sell her one of the
requested items:

1,000 Ritch for the first time you sell requested items during a "cycle"
100 Ritch for every other time you sell requested items

The amount of the allowance won't change no matter how many of the requested
items you sell at any one time.  For example, if Malila asks for Field
Mushrooms, and you sell her three Field Mushrooms for the first time all at
once, you will receive only 1,000 Ritch.  If you, instead, sell the three Field
Mushrooms one at a time, you will receive 1,000 Ritch, then 100 Ritch, then 100
Ritch, for a total of 1,200 Ritch.

So far, known items requested include:

Freaky Frog Fat:  Hackberry, Morel, Porcini, Ram's Head, Trumpet, Viscid
                    Mushrooms
Angel Elixir:  Cauliflower and Rosso Coral Mushrooms, Truffle
Rose Dew:  Fly Agaric, Laughing Jim, Parasol, Straw, Veiled Lady Mushrooms,
             Tuber Truffle
Moondrop:  Chanterelle, Field, Forest, King Oyster, Pine, Pleurote Mushrooms
Maiden's Tears:  White Rose, Yellow Tulip, Blue Tulip, Red Marguerite,
                   White May Lily
Poison Apple Juice:  White Tulip, Yellow Marguerite, Black Marguerite,
                       Red May Lily

Mandragora Root:  Red Rose, Pink Rose, Red Tulip, White Marguerite,
                    Yellow May Lily
Black Rose Thorn:  Blackberry, Blueberry, Cranberry, Red Gemflower*
Witch's Claw:  Ruby, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise
Ancient Dragon Scale:  Emerald, Sapphire, Aquamarine
Shooting Star Sliver:  Diamond, Amethyst, Crystal
Silver Scarab:  Gold Ore, Silver Ore, Iron Ore

*Malila actually asks for "Yellow Gemflower," but pays double for Red
   Gemflowers.

*******************************************************************************
BURIED TREASURE
*******************************************************************************
You can dig up valuable treasure.

Early in the game, you should learn Treasure Hunt magic:  you can cast MAGIC-
SECRET-SEEK and wave your Staff to find spots where items are buried.  When you
wave your Staff, you search ground visible on screen, plus some ground just off
screen to the west, south, and east of your player.  When you find a treasure,
you will see the spot light up with a greenish circle and see several stars
rise up from the ground.  You will also hear a chime.

Use the "R" button to equip your Shovel, then face the spot and press the "X"
button to dig.

You can find eleven or twelve items every day:

3 or 4 items amongst the Dorm area/the lowland/the Woods/the School areas
1 item in the Fungi Forest
5 items in the Cave
1 item at Lovers Point
1 item on the Island

One of the treasures in the Dorm/lowland/Woods/School will be money in the
amount of 100 Ritch, 1,000 Ritch, or 10,000 Ritch.

Three of the treasures in the Cave will be stones:

  Amethyst     Emerald        Turquoise    Phosphorus Ore
Aquamarine   Lapis Lazuli   Copper Ore   Silver Ore
Crystal      Ruby           Gold Ore     Sulfur Ore
Diamond      Sapphire       Iron Ore     Tin Ore

All other treasures will be one of the 25 bones:

Ancient Dragon Bones    Fish Bone          Ogre Horns
Animal Bone             Fossilized Bone    Old Umbrella Frame
Bone of a Lost Race     Giant Fish Bone    Pirate Bone
Chicken Bone            Giant's Bone       Pork Bones
Cursed Bones            Graveyard Bone     Shade Remains
Crystal Bone            Inscribed Bone     Small Bone
Decayed Tooth           Iron Bone          Subterranean Bone
  Dentures                Mammoth Bones      Werewolf Fang
  Dog Bone

Eventually, you will learn the Treasure Hunt incantation.  Cast INCANTATION-
PLAY-TREASURE at the Park, then hold a Gold Ore.  This will bury a Treasure
Chest somewhere in the Dorm/lowland/Woods/School areas.  You will need to use
Treasure Hunt magic to find it.  Hold the Treasure Chest to open it.

*******************************************************************************
CAPTAIN DOT
*******************************************************************************
You can duel to obtain items.

Every Sunday, Captain Dot appears at the Island.  You can challenge him to a
duel where each of you wager a valuable item.  If you have multiple items in
your pockets, you don't get to choose which item to risk.  You can, however,
choose not to risk the item that Captain Dot picks.  Unfortunately, if you
refuse the wager, Captain Dot will leave.

Captain Dot wagers treasures in the following order:

  1) Crystal
  2) Lapis Lazuli
  3) Turquoise
  4) Sapphire
  5) Ruby
  6) Emerald
  7) Diamond
  8) Aquamarine
  9) Amethyst
  10) Pirate Outfit Top
  11) Pirate Pants
  12) Pirate Hat
  13) Pirate Ship Walls
  14) Pirate Ship Floor
  15) Treasure Chest
  16) Treasure Map Table
  17) Cannon
  18) Pirate Chair
  19) ???
  20) ???
  21) ???
  22) ???
  23) ???
  24) ???
  25) ???

Press the "X" button to attack Captain Dot.  You might try dodging Captain Dot,
perhaps from the other side of the tree, until he attacks.  Then, hit him from
the back or side, immediately after he attacks, while he seems momentarily
immobile.  Initally, Captain Dot "jumps" eight times before attacking.  Later,
he "jumps" six times before attacking.

Good luck!

*******************************************************************************
WORLD TREE
*******************************************************************************
You can get free items from the World Tree spirit.

Eventually, you will learn the World Tree incantation.  In front of the Fungi
Forest, cast INCANTATION-GREETING-TREE, then enter the Fungi Forest.  Inside,
you can speak to the World Tree to hear the Voice of Nature for an evaluation
of the current environment.

If the report is sufficiently good, you may receive a reward once a week.  It
is possible for item to be a Cat-Sith-only item or even a Captain-Dot-only item.

A reward-winning evaluation can sound as follows:

"Ah, yes...  It seems the trees and the flowers are doing nicely at the
moment!  And they say it's all thanks to you!  Hyahyahya...!"

The report can complain about littering, so don't leave too many items on the
ground.

The report can complain about weeds, so make sure you remove them.

If you receive the "something's missing" message, there may be wilted flowers
that have not been watered.

*******************************************************************************
INTEREST
*******************************************************************************
You can earn interest on your savings.

Each Sunday, the Bank will add interest to your savings account at the rate of
0.25%.

The minimum amount you need to earn interest is 400 Ritch.

*******************************************************************************
MONEY RAIN
*******************************************************************************
You can make Ritch fall from the sky.

Eventually, you will learn the Lucky incantation.  Cast INCANTATION-
INCANTATION-INCANTATION when the game clock reads the same as the date of your
birthday.  For example, if your birthday is December 15, you can successfully
cast Lucky at 12:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Try using the following steps:

1) Press the "L" button and wait until the clock reads as your birthday.
2) Quickly press the "B" button when the clock reads as your birthday.
3) Transform into a wizard.
4) Press the "A" button to close the dialog bubble.
5) Tap INCANTATION-INCANTATION-INCANTATION and OK (or press the "A" button).
6) Press the "A" button to close the dialog bubble.
7) Press the "X" button to wave your staff.
8) Press the "Y" button to bring up the magic linguistics screen.
9) Tap INCANTATION-INCANTATION-INCANTATION and OK (or press the "A" button).
10) Repeat steps 7, 8, and 9, until the minute is over.

Each time you successfully wave your staff, a coin will fall down from the sky.
The amount of the coin will be added automatically to your money holdings.  The
value of each coin increases as follows:

1st coin = 1 Ritch
2nd coin = 10 Ritch
3rd coin = 50 Ritch
4th coin = 100 Ritch
5th coin = 500 Ritch
6th coin = 500 Ritch
7th coin = 500 Ritch
8th coin = ??? Ritch

Good luck!
