2. - Introduction -
This FAQ is made for explaining all the chest locations as well as all the
attacks each ability has. It also explains some unlockables you can have
and some minigame info.
3. - Game Info -
What is Hoshi no Kirby: Sanjou! Dorocche Dan? aka Squeak Squad
Hoshi no Kirby: Sanjou! Dorocche Dan is Kirby's first adventure platforming
game for the DS which uses the GBA style gameplay with some added features.
This game boasts of approx. 50 levels and contains 25 different abilities.
Also a new mixing and storage system has been added to the game for more
variety. This is surely one of Kirby's biggest adventure yet.

Here are the main controls for the game.
Control pad - Left and right to move
Double tap left or right to dash
Hold Up to fly

B - Inhale/Exhale/Spit Air bubble/Spit water
Kirby's main ability attack

Start - Pause
Select - Release ability
Press while pause to exit a level you completed
L and R are not used
Stylus is used for minigames and mixing abilities plus use stored items
6. - Squeak Squad Members -
The new antigonists in this game are known as the Squeak Squad. There are four
main members while the Squeakers are mainly just backup. Touching any of these
enemies while in a level will make you drop a chest that you obtained in the
level so be careful when you're fighting them. They usually appear once you
obtain a big chest within the level and will attack you to get it. Everytime
it snatches the chest from you it'll run to it's mini castle. If it reaches
it you have to hurry into the castle before it gets locked. Once inside
you must defeat the mouse to get back the chest.
Here's a list of each member.
- Daroach - (JP: Dorocche)
The boss of the Squeak Squad. He only appears as a boss in two different levels
He wear a red hat along with a red cape.
- Spinni - (JP: Spin)
The mouse with the shades will appear in certain levels once you get a chest.
Usually when he appears it involves some sort of race to the chest or chasing
after him for a chest. Spinni throws ninja stars while jumping around.
- Doc - (JP: Doc)
The mouse with the nerd glasses that has the machines is usually found in
certain levels once you get a big chest. He'll appear in a UFO and attacks
Kirby trying to get a chest back.
- Storo - (JP: Stron)
The big strong blue mouse that appears in certain level once a big chest
is obtained. He walks rather slow and just jumps. Since he's big it's a
little hard to dodge him.
- Squeakers - (JP: Chuurin)
Squakers is the small mouse that occupies the members of the squeak squad.
They throws bombs in various of sizes.
7. - Abilities -
Here are the list of all 25 abilities in this game and every move it has.
Copy scrolls are skills or upgrades that are unlocked once you find the copy
scroll to the corresponding ability. It is only found within a chest.
- Fire -
Fire can melt steel and clouds.
B - Blows out fire
Dash + B - Becomes a fireball and dashs forward
Copy Scroll skill
While holding B press up or down to aim your fire.
- Ice -
B - Blows out ice. Can be used to put of fires and create road
on lava

Up/Down+B to aim where you blow the ice.
- Spark -
B - Spark attack
Press the control pad numerous times to charge up the spark attack

Press the control pad numerous time to use a super spark attack
Left/Right+B while fully charged to shoot out a spark.
- Beam -
B - Shoots a beam in a whip fashion

- Tornado -
B - Have Kirby start spinning

Allows torando to have elements while spinning depending on what the
torando touches. If the tornado hits any fire or lava, it will become
fire elemental. If the tornado hits the snow, it will become Ice
elemental
- Parasol -
B - Attacks with the parasol
Press and hold B to do the parasol Spin
Copy Skill
Parasol Spin will be powered up by having small stars shot out slight.
- Cutter -
B - Throw a cutter
Press and hold B and use up or down to aim the cutter

The Cutter will be bigger and more powerful as well. It will not
get canceled out as it hits the enemy.
- Laser -
B - Shoot a laser (it can ricochet off slanted walls)

Press and hold B to charge up and shoot a bigger and more powerful laser
- Bomb -
B - Makes Kirby hold a bomb
B while holding a bomb to throw it
Up+B/Down+B while holding a bomb to aim where Kirby throws it
Down+A while holding a bomb to have Kirby slide and drop the bomb at the end
of his slide
Down+B while holding a bomb to drop it where Kirby is standing.
Dash+B while holding a bomb to throw it straight.
Copy Scroll
Allows the bomb to be different elements by mixing it with either
ice or spark ability. Have both the bomb ability and either ice
or spark in your palette. Use the stylus to mix them both to get
the corresponding mixed ability

Allows the dash to have elements depending on the what the wheel
touches. If the wheel passes through fire or lava it will become
Fire elemental. If the Wheel runs on the snow, it will become
Ice elemental.
- UFO -
Grants the ability to float
The longer you hold B the more powerful the attack will be
B - Beam
Hold B for a bit - Laser
Hold B longer - Strong Laser
Fully charged - Strong Beam

Give UFO a star that floats around it. Damages anything that touches it.
- Hammer -
B - Slam down your hammer
B in the air to do a hammer spin
Dash + B to do a hammer swing
Up + B to do the hammer flip

- Cupid -
B - Shoot an arrow
Press and hold B to shoot farther
Press and hold B until fully charged to shoot three arrows

B - Shoot bubbles closely
Up/Down+B to aim the bubble

- Metal -
While Metal it prevents more damage from normal monsters
You're ability to run, jump, and fly will decrease.
Down+B in the air to do a ground pound

- Ghost -
Grants the ability to float
B - Dashes forward to possess enemies (doesn't work on bosses/minibosses)
There is no copy scroll for the Ghost ability
- Triple star -
Three stars will float around Kirby, damaging anything that touches it
This ability can be used to light fuses, destroy gray blocks, etc..
B - Throw out on of your three stars. Aim with up and down
B while in the air to do a spin attack as well as shooting out a star.
There is no copy scroll for the Triple ability
8. - Treasure Chest Locations -
Here are the location of all 120 chest found throughout the game. I'll list
what each chest gives once the english version of this game is released.
- Level 1: Prism Plains -

There are no chests in this level.

Chest 1 - Located in the Fifth Room. It's on the platfom, you can't miss it
Contains The Beginning Music Score.
1-3
Chest 1- Located in the Fourth Room. Use the Animal ability and Dig to the
chest. It is easily found.
Contains the Fire Scroll
Chest 2- Located in the Fifth Room, as you obtain the chest, Spinni will
appear and chase you. You can either battle it or race to the
exit door to the right.
Contains the Sound Player

Chest 1 - Located in the Fourth Room, go right until you see two
star blocks at the top. Destroy it to get the chest.
Contains Green Spray Paint
Chest 2 - Located in the Fifth room with the lollipop. It is found under
the platform.
Contains a graphic piece
Chest 3 - Located in the sixth room. As you obtain the chest, Storo will
appear and attack. You must defeat it to completely obtain the
chest.
Contains a secret door key

Chest 1 - Located in the first and only room, fly all the way to the top
and destroy the barrel. A chest will appear.
Contains the Check Copy Palette

Chest 1 - Located in the fourth room. Go up until you have to pick between
two sides.Pick the left one and enter door. Destory the blocks
in the room to obtain the chest.

Chest 2 - Located in the sixth room, as you obtain it, Doc will appear
and attack. You can either battle it or just exit through the
door in the upper side of the room.

Chest 1 - Defeat King Dedede to obtain the chest.

Chest 1 - Located in the third room. After being shot by consecutive cannons
when you have to pick from two different directions, select the
right side to obtain a chest inside the barrel.

Chest 2 - Located in the fourth room, advance until you reach three bomb
blocks. Destory the first two bomb blocks but avoid the third one.
Fly over it and obtain the chest under the blocks.
Contains Kirby's sounds
Chest 3 - Located in the beginning of the fifth room. Obtain the chest and
spinni will appear. Either battle him or exit through the door in the
far right of the room.
Contains a Star Seal

Chest 1 - In the third room advance until you see some water. Fly up and hit
the switch to enter the door to your right. The chest will be in
here.
Contains Citrus Spray Paint
Chest 2 - Also in the third room enter the door on the bottom left of the
area. Storo will appeared as you enter and take the chest away.
You can quickly navagate through the room and hit him before he
reaches the small castle. Or you can battle him inside it

Chest 1 - In the third room you can find the chest at the enterance. You can
use the wheel ability to pass the spikes to obtain it. Doc will
then appear. Either battle it or exit towards the far right of the
room.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room you can use the bubble ability found in this
room to destroy the bomb block located near the enterance. This
will allow you to get the chest

Chest 3 - In the sixth room use the animal ability to dig above the southern
door of the room. A chest can be found there.

Chest 1 - In the second room once you destroy the third bomb block and
release the boulder, quickly run towards the right and claim
the chest before the boulder reaches it.

Chest 1 - In the third room using the ice ability to put out the flames
between the door. (or just fly to it) Enter it to claim the
chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room after defeating the metal miniboss, inhale it
the get the ability and use it to destroy the gray block. Inside
the barrel is a chest.

Chest 3 - In the sixth room, Spinni will immediately steal the chest. You'll
have to follow it as it moves and attack it once you reach the
bottom area. Take it from him and exit. Or you can battle him

Chest 1 - In the second room, defeat the hammer boss and obtain the hammer
ability. Then use it to destroy the stake at the upper right of
the room and enter the door. The chest will be there.

Chest 2 - In the second room, on the bottom right of the room there will
be two doors. Enter the bottom one. Navagate through this room
untilyou reach another door. In this next room you must defeat
the golden waddle dee to obtain it. Use the switch to save it
from falling down the pit.
Contains a part of the secret map
Chest 3 - In the final room, Storo will immedately take the chest. You must
quickly navagate through the room and hit him to claim the chest.
Or you can just battle him.

2-Boss
Chest 1 - Defeat Mrs. Moley to obtain the chest.

- Level 3: Cushy Cloud - (JP: Creamy Cloud)

Chest 1 - In the third room, get the laser ability and navagate to the
right side or the room. Use the laser to ricochet the laser up to
destroy the bomb block. Behind here is the chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room (fifth room if you've taken the upper exit at the
star blocks in the third room) you'll notice a fire monster and
several gray blocks behind it. Use the fireball to destroy it and
claim the chest.
Contains Grape Spray Paint
Chest 3 - In the fifth room (sixth room if you've taken the upper exit at the
star blocks in the third room) you'll see a squeaker with a chest.
Destroy and obtain it. Spinni will then appear and attack. Quickly
rush right towards the exit of the level or just battle him.

Chest 1 - In the second room, as you go underwater you'll see a bomb block to
your right. Destroy it and enter the door. Destroy the blocks at
the bottom to reveal the chest.
Contains Familiar Notes
Chest 2 - In the final room, Doc immedately take the chest. Hit it one time
and he'll drop it. Get it and exit through the door. Or you can
battle him.
Contains a Star Seal

Chest 1 - In the third room fly up until you see star blocks on the left
side. Destroy it to reveal a door. Inside the room is a chest.
Contains a graphic Piece
Chest 2 - In the fourth room be sure you get the cutter in this room.
Navagate through the room until you see two rows of star blocks
under a platform. Destroy it to reveal a door. As you enter
quickly use the cutter to cut the rope of the platform,
preventing the golden waddle dee to fall of the pit. Destroy
the golden waddle dee to obtain a chest.
Contains a secret map piece
Chest 3 - In the fifth room nevagate through the room until you see a
switch. Hit the switch and quickly race to the chest before
the door closes. Obtaining the chest will will make Storo appear.
You can avoid it by flying over it and entering the exit door or
you can battle him.
Contains a ghost medal

(Note in the room number I will not count the star animation room)
Chest 1 - In the second room use the fire to light the fuse and enter the
cannon. It will blast you to a room with a chest. Use the fire
ability to melt the cloud to get the chest.
Contains Lavender Spray Paint
Chest 2 - In the fifth room navagate through the room. Avoid destroying the
first bomb block. Destroy the second one and stand in the small
platform under the chest. Use fire to destroy the first bomb block
and quickly obtain the chest before it falls into the pit.
Contains Hi-Jump Scroll
Chest 3 - In the last room, Spinni will appear and take the chest. You need
to quickly navagate through the room until you have the chance to
attack him. It'll drop it and you can claim it.
Contains Secret Door key

Chest 1 - In the third room you must rush through the entire room to catch up
with the chest on the black cloud. Chase it until it stops to get
the chest.
Contains Tornado Scroll

Chest 1 - Navagate through the second room until you reach the upper right
corner. Use an ability like beam to destroy the bomb block and enter
the door that is found there. In this room be sure not to break off
all the blocks on the floor or you won't be able to obtain the
chest.
Contains Orange Spray Paint
Chest 2 - In the bottom right of the second room you'll hit a switch but two
gates will open. Go right and enter the cannon. Blast it through the
blocks and enter the door. There's a chest in here.

Chest 3 - As you navagate through the second room you'll run into a chest.
Obtaining it will make Spinni appear and attack. Enter the next room
and it will continue following you. Quickly navagate through this
room and reach for the exit. Or you can just defeat him.

Chest 1 - Defeat Doc in the Metal Kracko machine to get the chest.

- Level 4: Jam Jungle -

Chest 1 - In the first room navagate through the room until you see a treasure
chest and a switch. To obtain this chest, stand next to the gate and
use the cutter ability to throw a cutter down to hit the switch.
Then enter and hit the fire block to claim the chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room use the laser the destroy the bomb block in the
upper part of the room. Navagate through the spikes using the laser
ability and you'll run into the chest.
Contains Shadow Spray Paint
Chest 3 - In the sixth room use either cutter/fire/sword to destroy the bush
in the middle of the room to reveal a chest. Doc will then appear
and attack. You can just exit or battle him.

Chest 1 - In the third room cut the bush that is located on top of the chest
and destroy the fire block to obtain the chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room, race Spinni to the chest and exit through the
door.

Chest 1 - In the third room, Enter the upper door. Navagate through the room
until you see a fork. Enter the top path to get the chest.
Contains Metal Scroll
Chest 2 - In the fifth room enter the cannon on the left. The dark room it
leads to will have a chest inside the barrel next to the door.
Contains Industrial Copy Palette
Chest 3 - In the final room Doc will appear and take the chest. Use the wheel
ability found in this room to chase after it and claim it for
yourself.
Contains a vitality piece

Chest 1 - In the third room enter the door on the bottom right. Quickly
chase and defeat the Golden Waddle Dee to claim the chest.
Contains a part of the secret map
Chest 2 - In the fifth room ignore the first door and press the switch
to continue on to fight the bubble miniboss. Defeat it and
continue and enter the door that is found at the end of the
path. use the fire to melt the steel and obtain the chest.
Contains a graphic piece
Chest 3 - In the sixth room fly up until you see those steel block to
your right. Use fire to melt it and enter the door behind it.
Get the chest in here and Storo will appear and attack. Flee
towards the door. You have to defeat Storo this time to fully
claim the chest and exit the level.

Chest 1 - In the second room you'll have to destroy the bomb block and quickly
fall to the bottom of the room as fast as possible to get the chest.

4-ex (Just to note in this level, if you actually want to play through it you
have to fly up in the second room)
Chest 1 - In the fourth room when you're falling try to land on the left area
when you're near the bottom. You'll land onto the chest.
Contains Ice Scroll
Chest 2 - In the fifth room destroy the star blocks and take the lower path.
Follow it and it will lead to a chest.
Contains Party Notes
Chest 3 - In the seventh room hit the switch to have a chest appear. Get it
and Spinni will appear and attack. Navagate through the room quicky
and exit. Then in next room fall downwards and exit the level.

Chest 1 - Defeat Doc in the big machine to get the chest.

- Level 5: Vocal Volcano - (JP: Voice Volcano)

Chest 1 - In the third room use the throw ability to destroy the second set of
spikes. Down here you can find a chest under the big star blocks.
Contains Parasol Scroll
Chest 2 - In the fourth room fly up until you see the chest. Use any
projectile to hit the switch and quickly go under the door to get
the chest.
Contains Enemy sounds
Chest 3 - In the fifth room chase the small mouse to get the chest, which will
make Doc appear and attack. Just navagate through the room and exit
or you can battle him.
Contains a star seal

Chest 1 - In the second room, at the top of the room use the fire ability to
hit the switch on the other side of the lavafall. This will allow
you to get the chest.
Contains Ivory Spray Paint
Chest 2 - In the fourth room, navagate a little to the right then fly up and
go left and enter the door there. In this room progress into it
until you see the chest.
Contains a graphic piece
Chest 3 - In the sixth room, hit the switch in the beginning to get the
chest, then spinni will appear. Either battle or exit through the
right.
Contains Hammer Scroll
5-3 (Note although the rooms are mostly in the same room I will by counting
it as different rooms)
Chest 1 - In room two defeat the hammer miniboss and use the hammer ability
on the stake at room three to get the chest.

Chest 2 - In room four defeat the animal miniboss and use the animal ability
to dig to the chest in room five.
Contains ninja scroll
Chest 3 - In room six defeat the metal miniboss and use the metal ability
to get the chest in room seven.

Chest 1 - In the fourth room, navagate it until you see two star blocks at
the top. Destroy it and enter the door it covered. In here
destroy the gold waddle dee while avoiding the switch.
Contains a part of the secret map
Chest 2 - In the fifth room as you near the door use the Cupid ability and
shoot the arrow on the switch without flying above the platform.
Go through the opened gate and get the chest. (bomb works too)
Contains Red Spray Paint
Chest 3 - In the final room either you quickly get the chest from the Doc
or battle it inside the mini castle to get the chest
Contains a secret door key
5-ex
Chest 1 - Enter the upper left door on the first room, the chest it
located on the bottom right barrel. Use either metal or
hammer to get it.
Contains Animal Copy Palette
Chest 2 - Enter the upper middle of the first room, the chest can
be obtained using the freeze ability. It's in the upper
right of the room.
Contains Sleep Scroll
Chest 3 - Enter the upper right door of the first room, the chest will be
taken rather quickly so enter the mini castle and battle Spinni to
get it back.
(I used torando to catch it fast enough before it enter the castle)

Chest 1 - Navagate through the second room and get the animal ability for the
miniboss. In the third room use the animal ability to dig straight
down until you see a switch. Hit the switch and enter the gate to
get the chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room navagate through it until you see some ice
blocks. Destroy them and head up to the door. A chest will be
inside.
Contains sound effects
Chest 3 - In the final room, Storo will take the chest. You'll have to
quickly hit Storo and get it from him.

Chest 1 - In the second room, nevagate through the room until you see three
fallies. Fly above them into a room with the chest.

Chest 2 - In the final room you'll need to race spinni to the chest.

Chest 1 - In the third room use the hammer at the stake in the top of the
room to get the chest. If you don't have a hammer you can obtain
one by navagating through the rooms on the left until you reach
the stake again.

Chest 2 - In the third room exit through the upper most door. In this room
navagate through it until you see the first switch. Fly above it
and hit the second switch to get the chest.
Contains a graphic piece
Chest 3 - In the final room, you'll see a chest on a black cloud. You must
race with Doc to see who can get the chest first.

Chest 1 - In the first room go right until you can see ice blocks on the floor.
Destroy it and enter the cannon. It will shoot you to the chest.

Chest 2 - In the fourth room go down first and destroy the bomb block around
the room. Then use the cutter to cut the rope and get the chest.

Chest 3 - In the final room a chest will be surrounded by ice blocks. Destroy

Chest 1 - In the third room you'll see the chest as you progress. After seeing
it pass it and immediately swim upwards to catch the upward current
which will lead to the chest.

Chest 2 -In the fifth room you'll instantly see a bomb block in the beginning.
Use a projectile ability (like bomb) to destroy it, revealing a path.
Follow the path to a chest.

Chest 3 -In the sixth and final room, the chest will be taken once you enter.
You'll either have to use an ability that can shoot through walls or
just battle Storo in the castle.

Chest 1 - In room two navagate though it until you reach the door. Fall down
and you'll see the chest. An easy way to get it is to inhale it and
swallow it.

and get the fire ability. Then continue use fire to burn the clouds
and make your way to the chest on the right side.

10. - Minigames -
These minigames can be played from the main menu.
Each game can be played with computer or with your friends
using multi-cart or single-cart download play.
- Speedy Tea Time -
In this minigame as the food is shown you much quickly tap the food
as fast as possible. Big cake are worth 2 points while small one
are worth 1 point. Pressing before the food is shown will result
in a penalty resulting in not being to get any points that round.
- Smash Ride -
use the stylus to aim Kirby around the course. You'll earn points
everytime you knock something out of the couse. Whoever has the
most points once the time is over is the winner.
- Treasure Shot -
You'll see three chest in this minigame. You aim your stylus to
which chest you wish to get. Everytime you shoot a chest with food
you'll get points depending on how much you shoot it. However you're
competing against Doc so be sure to be quick. Also avoid the bomb
or Kirby will be stunned for a short time.
- Boss Endurance -
Battle every boss consectively with no extra lives

12. - Frequently Asked Questions -
Q. How does mixing work in this game?
A. If you have two different abilities in Kirby's belly you can mix them
together. Usually you will just get another ability (it is preset depending
on what you mixed) but sometimes you can get a whole new ability. An
example would be fire+sword to get the fire sword ability. This is DIFFERENT
FROM THE KIRBY 64 MIXING SYSTEM. You can ONLY mix Sword with Ice/Fire/Spark
and you can ONLY mix Bomb with Ice/Spark. THERE ARE NO OTHER COMBINATION.
Q. How is the multiplayer in this game?
A. Multiplayer is limited to the minigames. You can play each of the three
minigames using Multi-cart or Single-Cart.
Q. How long is this game?
A. If you've played Kirby games in the past then you will expect this game
to be short. In fact it is, although there is about 50 levels each one
can be complete in about one to two minutes. For me I've completed this
game the first time with 100% in only 2 hours.
Q. How is the gameplay like?
A. This game follows the previous Kirby GBA games gameplay style. It
also uses the world and level system (ex. Kirby 64
