For many people starting this game,
this guide contains a translation guide for all of the menus,
a tutorial walkthrough
(since the rest of the story are just battles),
and explanations to each of the 10 stories,
plus some questions and answers.

This is where you fight 10 opponents.
* When you first go into arcade mode you will have only one option.
Once you start arcade battles you will have two. The top one is continue,
the bottom is new game.
Once you choose new game...
1. Select a character
Press X if you want random
2. Choose a support
Press X for random
3. Choose another support
Press X for random
4. Choose a box
There are 4 for each flame type
Press X for random
5. Auto Guard
Top is off
Bottom is on
6. Difficulty
Top is Easy
Middle is Medium
Bottom is Hard
7. Battles
There are 10 you have to go through

C1 c: [FAMILY MODE]

This is where you make a family of 4 people and fight in a tag team style.
Once you first start there are 2 unavailable options.
1. Select the middle one. Now choose a family slot.
2. Now choose 4 battle characters and their supports.
3. Now the other 2 options are available
Top is select a family slot to use for family mode.
Middle is create a new family
Bottom is delete a family
If you select the top option and select a family, here are the translations.
Top row: Select amount of life bars
Middle row: Select the teams
Bottom row: Select difficulty
The default option is easy.
Move one option right is medium, the next is hard.
Now you battle

Fight with your friends locally
The 3 top boxes are games that are open
The bottom is Host a game.

Fight with your friends accross the country or the world.
*when you've connected to wifi. Once you click the connect option,
the top is yes (Yes, I want to connect) bottom is no.
Once you connected...
If this is your first time,
you must select the bottom option (location)
Just pick a random location in Japan.
It should unlock the other two.

[Random Battle]
1 v1 and family battle.
Once you choose your character/s and the other things.
Select your stage.
Then you should see your name at the bottom screen.
Now you are searching for an opponent.
Wait til you find one or you can quit by pressing b.

The procedure is just like random.
You must search for your friends.

Tutorial for the 1st story.
Step 1.Select story mode
Step 2. Press A
Step 3. Select the first story.
Step 4. This is the Auto guard options.
Top is off bottom is on. Choose which ever one you want.
Step 5. Difficulty. From top to bottom, easy, medium to hard.

If you do not want to read Japanese,
press start and press skip.
TUTORIAL 1.
Move up to your opponent and press y 3 times fast.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.
TUTORIAL 2
Press one of the red boxes on the bottom with
green Japanese symbols in them.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.
BATTLE
You are Tsuna. Beat your opponent.
When you win, you will see the result screen. Press A.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.

Press the box on the lower left corner of the touch screen.

Press L, The Box should be in Flames.
Then press the Box.
This is an upgraded version of the box.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.
BATTLE
You play as Ryohei. Beat your opponent.
Once you Win it is another Result Screen. Press A.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.

Supports.
Click on one of the 2 pictures in your touch screen.
(Shoichi and Spanner)
After that, there will be more dialogue.

TUTORIAL 2
Combination Specials
Press the first special
and press one of the supports while you are doing the special.
After that, there will be more dialogue.
Press start and skip if you don't want to read.
TUTORIAL 3
Hyper Explosion.
Click on the oval between your supports.
It is half gold and half silver.
This gives you a temporary.stat boost.
BATTLE
You are Tsuna, beat both of your opponents.
Once you win. you will see a result screen. Press A.
END
From now on every thing is straight forward.
It's all battles.
You can skip dialogue with start and press skip.

C3: STORY MODE EXPLANATIONS
===========================
Explains every singly story in the story mode.
1ST row 1st story:
This story is the story that follows before the final battle,
to the end where Tsuna fights Byakuran

1ST row 2nd story:
This story follows the story of the Kokuyo arc.
It is when Rokudo Mukuro's gang first meets the Vongola family

1ST row 3rd story: This story covers the Varia arc.
It's the Vongola family vs the Varia.

1ST row 4th story: This story covers the beginning of the Future arc.
----------------------------------------------------------
1ST row 5th story: This story covers the future arc
(from entering the Millefiore's base to when Tsuna fights Genkishi).

2ND row 1st story:
This story takes place when the 5 of the
6 real funeral wreaths
attack the vongola. You play as the real funeral wreaths.

2ND row 2nd story:
This story covers the Arcobaleno Trials,
a filler arc in the anime.

2ND row 3rd story: This story is a what if story.
What if Primo fought the vongola family.
You play as Primo. You also unlock Primo in this story.

2ND row 4th story:
This story is where you play as Reborn and all the battles
are 3 v 1 battles.
You are always going to be against 3 people.

2ND row 5th story:
This story makes you play as a
Funeral Wreath or a vongola guardian.

A: If you cannot beat someone,
you should probably pick a lower difficulty.
If you lose in easy mode...
you must be playing with your feet.
Q: Will the story mode spoil me?
A: Unless you can read Japanese the only real spoilers
are the cambio forma special moves.
Q: Does story mode unlock every character in the game?
A: Yes and no. You will unlock every battle character,
but you will have to unlock some supports in Gacha Mode.
You will have to repeat the first story to get
10 yrs. later Belphegor and Fran.
Although you will have to repeat the first story.
In one battle you can choose 10 yrs later Belphegor or Fran.
You must choose one of them for the first time through.
Then you can repeat the story and choose the other.
You will also need to do the 2ND row 3rd story to unlock Primo.

also used to combine with attack button for directional attacks
Y button: Light attack
X button: Heavy attack
A button: Block
B button: Jump
L button: Charge your box
(Makes your box attack more effective; Stronger, more attacks, stun, etc.)
R button: Block

In Battle Touch Screen Controls
-------------------------------
Box icon: Activates box weapon
Two character icons: Activates support (you have two of them)
Gold and silver oval between the two support icons: Stat boost.
-Allows you to gain a short overall stat boost
on all your stats (Attack damage, Defense, Speed).
-It also shoots out a yellow ring at start up which can hit the opponent.
Words in boxes at the right side of the touch screen:
-These are your specials,
below each box is a gauge which shows how much
flame gauges it will need to activate that special.
-Each character has a different amount of specials.
-Specials range from costing 1 flame gauge gauge to 3.
