DX1: Introduction
============================================
Welcome to my General/Translation FAQ for Daigasso! Band Brothers DX. If
you've found your way to my FAQ, you most likely have some idea of what
Daigasso! Band Brothers DX is, since its a pretty obscure game in the western
world.
If you don't know what it is, then what are you doing here? Either way,
Daigasso! Band Brothers DX is a rhythm game that utilizes the DS's buttons
to play music. Playing the correct notes displayed results in the song
sounding right, hitting the wrong notes (or not hitting them at all) will
result in the song sounding like crap. Each song can have up to 8 instruments,
and you can play any one you want, even in the game's 8 player single card
multiplayer.
Unfortunately for most of us, Nintendo has yet to bring this fantastic game
overseas (they didn't even bring the original Daigasso! Band Brothers here
even though they planned to release it in America as Jam With the Band) and
since a majority of the people in the western world can not read Japanese, I
figured I might as well grace you all with my fantastic Japanese knowledge
and write an FAQ telling you how to navigate the game so you can import it
and enjoy it as much as I have.
Oh wait, I can't read Japanese... what the hell am I gonna do now?
Oh, thats right, I've played this game CONSTANTLY for months, I know this game
like the back of my hand, I can navigate the menus with my eyes closed! In
other words, this isn't a "direct translation" FAQ, its more or less a "This
button means Yes, this button means No, this button means Wi-Fi" FAQ, so
while the translations are not DIRECT, they will result in the same effect
by you pressing them whether it says "Yes" or "Confirm".
There are a few things that this FAQ will NOT help you with, because they
are situational things that I cannot possibly translate. These include:
Any actual dialog that Barbara the Bat says, names of songs other than the
default songs(because this will differ between everyone's copy of the game),
the order in which instruments are listed on a song (this will differ between
songs, and you can simply highlight the option and it'll play that instrument
louder than all the others), Karaoke mode lyrics, the actual list of Download
Songs (as this changes CONSTANTLY) and anything else that can differ between
copies of the game. Anything else that isn't translated will (hopefully) be
translated in future updates.
By the way, if you look at the Table of Contents, it lists "Other Menus". This
is where you'll find things like the Radio, Free-Play menu, the Practice Mode
menu and the choices you get when you play for the first time. I just thought
I'd clarify that.
And now, on with the FAQ!

DX2: How to Play
============================================
Daigasso! Band Brothers DX is a Rhythm game and as such, the most important
thing a player needs to have is rhythm. If you can't keep a beat, you can't
play. However, unlike many other rhythm games, you aren't just tapping the
onscreen commands to the beat, you're actually PLAYING the music. In Button
and Guitar Modes the buttons you press will always play the same note (at
least on Master mode) so hitting the wrong button will not only result in
a Miss, but also result in the song sounding wrong.
Karaoke Mode is just what it sounds like, singing into the DS mic. It works
differently than the other two modes, so the following few paragraphs apply
to Button and Guitar modes. I'll cover Karaoke mode more in it's section
below.
The notes appear on a measure that scrolls upwards on the top screen. Your
timing marker is represented by a bar or arrows (depending on difficulty) that
scrolls left to right and then loops back to the next measure when it hits
the end.
The notes themselves have two "parts", a Head and a Tail. The Head of the note
is the initial point where you have to hit the button shown on the note and
the Tail represents the duration you must hold that button down in order to
successfully clear a note. This also means that you will only be pressing
one button at a time (except on Master Mode, where you can be pressing up
to 3 buttons at once).
Drums however, are different than every other instrument in Button mode.
There are no Tails in Drum Mode, and Master Drums are some of the most
difficult challenges in DBBDX. The differences between Drum play will be
noted in each difficulty section.
Scoring is much different than many other rhythm games as well. You don't
get actual "points", but rather get a percentage score out of a 100% perfect
score. Your timing is still recorded, in the form of Best, Good, Bad and Miss
ratings on every note, but the overall score will always read as a percentage
based number (like 95, if you got a 95%), so in order to get a 100, you would
need to hit every single note with Best timing. This also means that no matter
if you get 400 Best and 5 Good or 404 Best and 1 Good, your score will still
be a 99, indistinguishable from any other 99.
Below, I will detail the differences between the difficulties on every mode.

Button Mode
================
The classic mode from the first Daigasso! Band Brothers. Depending on the
difficulty you're playing, you will be using more buttons and have a more
strict timing window.
Beginner Mode
================
All notes are represented by happy faces. You can hit ANY button to clear
them. You also have a much wider timing window, the game practically hands
you Best scores. Beginner Mode Drums are identical to anything else on
Beginner mode.
Amateur Mode
================
This is the recommended difficulty for new players who have SOME gaming skill.
You will be using the following buttons: A B Y and Left on the D Pad.
The note charts are created by converting all of the other notes to one of the
four notes used in Amateur mode. The timing window is slightly more forgiving
than Pro mode.
Drums in Amateur Mode are played with A Up Down and Left. A represents all of
the drum hits assigned to A B X and Y on Pro/Master, Up represents all of the
drum hits assigned to Up, L and R on Pro/Master. Left and Down represent
themselves and Right.
Pro Mode
================
Now we're talkin'. This is where REAL DBBDX starts.
You will be using the following buttons: A B X Y Up Down Left and Right.
Every direction corresponds to one specific note, and that button will ALWAYS
play that specific note EXCEPT for when L and R would be involved in Master
Mode. The timing in Pro Mode is only SLIGHTLY forgiving when dishing out
Bads and Misses, but you'll get every Good you deserve, only true Best notes
make it through in this mode.
Drum Mode changes quite a bit here, as you'll be using A B X Y Up Down Left
Right L and R, two more buttons than normal Pro button mode. A and B are
primary drum hits, Y and X are assigned to things like a tambourine hit
(which are different depending on which drum set you're using), Right, Down
and Left are 3 different drum hits, Up is a light cymbal hit and R and L are
harder cymbal hits (on most drum sets anyway). However, if two notes OVERLAP,
such as a B and L at the same time, you will only play the B.
Master Mode
================
This is the hardest mode in DBBDX, and on paper, adding R and L doesn't sound
like it'd be that much harder than Pro mode, right? Wrong. Because now you're
hitting and holding L and R at the SAME TIME as other notes. L makes the note
a sharp, and R raises it an octave. Sometimes you will need to press L and R
together with another note as well. The timing is extremely strict in Master
Mode, and even the slightest error will result in a lower score, you need to
be PERFECT to get a Best.
Drums however are a whole different kind of beast. Widely regarded as totally
impossible, Master Drums are an inhuman test of skill. Not only are you using
every single button on the DS, but you will be required to hit two notes at
the exact same time in rapid succession. If a B has an Up above it, you need
to hit them at the EXACT SAME TIME, PERFECTLY. This can go with almost any
combination of the A B X Y buttons + Up Down Left Right L and R, constantly
switching between double notes. It is extremely difficult and I personally
have never gotten any sort of respectable score on even the easiest Master
Drums.

Guitar Mode
================
A new mode to DBB, where the touch screen becomes a guitar and you play with
a combination of the buttons (on one hand, whichever one you don't hold your
stylus with) and the stylus to strum. This mode is often used by song creators
to create parts with Chords, as normal button parts do not have chords. It
plays similar to Button Mode, but with added stylus input.
Beginner Mode
================
No buttons here! Just strum when the little happy face arrow is under your
marker.
Amateur Mode
================
Identical to Beginner mode, except it has plain arrows instead of happy faces.
Pro Mode
================
In Pro Mode Guitar, you'll need to press and hold the D Pad directions (or
A B X Y if you're left handed) as you strum.
Master Mode
================
Similar to Pro Mode, but throws in L (R if you're left handed). Not much of
a difference.
================
Karaoke Mode
================
Daigasso! Band Brothers DX also has a Karaoke mode where you can sing (or
hum, if you can't read the Japanese lyrics) into your DS and get rated on
your singing skills. There's two modes, one which grades you on your singing
style, and the other which grades you purely on how perfectly you hit the
notes. Its really just a standard Karaoke game, nothing else needs to be said.

If you see a box with two options like that, it is almost certainly the
Yes/No Box.

Difficulty Menu
================
Shows up after you select Single Player mode, and before the Song Selection
Menu. Four red rectangles with yellow text. Depending on your Star Rank, the
difficulty highlighted by default will vary.

The blue buttons to the right of the difficulties are there to explain how
each difficulty works.

DX4: Main Menu
============================================
If you do not see the menu below immediately after starting the game, this
means you are playing for the first time. For details on how to navigate this
maze of options, please see the 14th section.
This is the main menu that you will see after turning on the game (and
pressing A to skip the intro).

Live Mode - A story mode, or perhaps mission mode of sorts. Play randomly
chosen songs to try and raise your Star Rank.
Main Game - This will take you to the menu where you'll find the Main Game
where you can choose to play in single or multiplayer modes, sing karaoke,
create new songs or change options.
Download Songs - Takes you to the menu where you can connect to Wi-Fi to
download songs from Nintendo's Wi-Fi server. You can also rate songs here.

After selecting the Main Game option from the Main Menu above, you'll end up
at this screen.

Selecting Single Player will present you with a text box with an "OK" button
at the bottom. Just hit A or tap it. I have no idea why it exists.
You will then be at the Difficulty Selection Screen, pick your difficulty.
You'll now be taken to the Song Selection Menu (but not before another "OK"
box shows up, just hit A again), which looks like this.

Lets start with the Top Screen.
[##/##] - Current Song Number/Total Songs, so if you have 65 songs and this is
the 27th song on the list, it would read 27/65.
Press L and R to scroll between songs, the two "other songs" are the next ones
to the left and right.
Now for the bottom screen.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Can't read the Instrument name? No problem! Highlighting an
instrument will make it play louder than the others, making it easy to pick
out the one you want.
[#] - Your score for that particular instrument on this song. If you have
never played that instrument on this song before, it will say "PUSH".
[Pro] - This button says what difficulty you're playing on, press it and it
will switch to the next highest one until it wraps around back to Beginner.
*s - Difficulty level.
& - A Red Kanji (no thanks to GameFAQs for no color support). If an instrument
has a small red Kanji next to it's difficulty, it means that it is the
"vocals" of the song (even though everything is in Midi). This is what the
Karaoke mode uses as its basis for what you need to sing, but it's plenty fun
to play with buttons as well.
@ - A Green Kanji. If an instrument has a small green Kanji next to it's
difficulty, it is a Guitar Mode part. Note that you do not need to make a
Guitar part in Guitar Mode, it can be done in Button mode as well, but it
won't have chords.
[Help/Practice] - Normally this displays some text with "Select" written on
it, which will have Barbara appear and tell you about whatever you have
highlighted. However, if you have selected a part, it becomes the Practice
Mode button.
[Start] - After you've selected an instrument to play, this turns into a big
red button. Touch the button to play. You can also just hit A.
[???] - I have absolutely no idea what this does, hopefully I'll be able to
figure it out and add it in a future update.
After you select your song and instrument, the game will begin. Enjoy.

DX7: Karaoke Mode
============================================
Upon hitting the Karaoke button shown in section 5, you will arrive at the
screen below.

Singing Training - Evaluates your voice type, tells you how compatible you
are with the song you choose and then recommends a song for you to sing.
Karaoke Mode - This is the normal Karaoke mode, and generally the option you
will probably be using. On screen lyrics appear, you sing (or hum) to the
tune. Scores are graded in the same percentage based way as normal button
or guitar modes.
Singing Training Menu
=======================
There's no need to make an ASCII display for this menu.
The top text box with the heart tells you how compatible you are with this
song's voice type (assuming you've played it). The box below that says what
your current voice type is (which is determined by you singing in this mode).
The big red button on the bottom is to begin, green to the right is Back.
Karaoke Mode Menu
=======================
Ignoring the stuff up top that shows up in most every menu.

[ 0 ] - Press the Up arrow to raise the entire song by 1 Octave. Press the
Down arrow to lower it by 1 Octave, this will allow you to sing songs you
otherwise may not have the range to sing.
( ) - Volume control. Spin the dial to raise or lower the volume.
[On/Off] (Top) - Switching this to Off will stop your voice from coming out
through the DS's speakers when you sing.
[On/Off] (Bottom) - Switching this to Off will lower the volume of the song's
vocal part.

DX8: Multiplayer
============================================
Daigasso! Band Brothers DX has an incredible Multiplayer mode, allowing up to
8 players to play any instruments from any song that the host has, on any
difficulty, even with Karaoke mode... on ONE game card. The download times
aren't too bad either.
Upon pressing the Multiplayer button shown in section 5, you'll be greeted
with this screen.

After pressing any of these options, a Yes/No box will appear. This is asking
you if you want to start Wireless transmissions.
If you select Host Game, a Download Play signal will be sent out to the nearby
area. Have a friend look for the DBBDX icon in their Download Play menu on
their DS and select it. The box in the top right corner of the Top Screen
will show how many people are playing (including yourself), so once it shows
2 or more (however many people are joining the game) you can then press OK
to begin playing. The green button is Back.
The next thing everyone will see is the Difficulty Selection Screen, please
refer to section 3 for the difficulty menu translations.
Only the Host will be able to see and hear the song that is currently selected
in the menu, so take out your headphones. When you have chosen the song,
everyone can pick their instruments. Once everyone has chosen what instrument
to play, the song will begin. Instruments that are NOT chosen will be played
automatically.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you select the "vocals" instrument in the song (the one
with the Red Kanji next to it) you will be asked if you want to play it in
Button Mode or Karaoke mode. Unfortunately, as of writing this, I do not have
someone to play against, but I will include a translation of which option is
which in a future update.
After the song is completed, everyone will be given two scores. The bottom
score represents their own playing score, and the top score represents the
band's score as a whole (an average of everyone's scores).
Search for Game Menu
======================
Though I haven't had the opportunity to actually test this, I do believe that
this is what this option does, and like some other multiplayer options, I will
confirm this when I have access to someone else's DS.
This option should bring up a searching box, most likely searching for
someone broadcasting the Download Play signal so that they can join a game
with both people who own DBBDX and those who do not own DBBDX.
You can press Select to cancel and return to the previous menu.
Mutli-Card Play
=====================
I haven't had the chance to check this out properly yet, but from what I can
gather, when playing in this mode, the game does NOT automatically play
unused instruments, so you'll need a full band for this mode.
Anyway, when you press this button, you'll be greeted with two options.

I don't have any idea how this mode truly works, however. Once I can find
someone else with a copy of the game, I'll update this section.
Wii Speaker Channel Menu
==========================
The Wii Speaker Channel is a channel for your Wii... obviously...
It allows DBBDX to connect to your Wii (once you've downloaded the channel
using a code printed on a piece of paper that came in your DBBDX case) so
you can play DBBDX over your TV's speakers instead of the DS speakers.
However, this channel is NOT available ANYWHERE except for Japan, so importers
are out of luck. This also means that me, being an importer, cannot walk you
through what happens once it connects. When you press the button, it searches
the area for a Wii running the Speaker Channel, and you can press Select to
cancel. Thats about all I can tell you about this mode.

DX9: Live Mode
============================================
Now I will cover Live Mode's menus. This should have been earlier in the FAQ
since it's the topmost menu, but I figured that everything else is far more
important to the reader.
Barbara will essentially ask you to play live for a crowd in this mode. If you
get a high enough score, your Star Rank will be increased. The higher your
Star Rank, the harder the default difficulty is on the difficulty selection
screen, and by getting to certain ranks, you will unlock a couple new songs.
When you first click the Live Mode menu, you will see a poster. The text on
the bottom screen is as follows.

Karaoke Rank: S Encores: 3
[Start] [Cancel]
Name - Your name, and what I assume is a title of some sort.
Star Rank - Shows your current Star Rank out of 10.
Karaoke Rank: Shows how well you've sang on Karaoke challenges, S is the best.
Encores: If you complete a song with a high enough score in Live mode, the
crowd may call for an Encore. This shows the maximum times the crowd has
demanded more and you've given it to them.
Click Start to begin live mode, or cancel to go back.
Barbara will talk to you, and you will see a door. Knock on the door twice
(tap the screen) and you will proceed into the concert hall where she will
talk a little more. One of two things may happen here.
If a small text box appears, she is asking you if you want to sing Karaoke.
[Yes] [No]
If you accept, you will be able to pick a song and sing along to on-screen
lyrics. Performing well will increase a letter ranking that appears on your
player card. However, singing in Live Mode will NOT increase your Star Rank.
If the small box does not appear, or if you refuse to sing, and a larger
box appears, you will be playing using the standard button input on a
random song and instrument of a difficulty suited to whatever Star Rank
you are currently at.

2008 12 30 - The date in a year, month, day format. This just happened to be
the day I started writing this.
Arrangement - The song will always be played with different instruments than
it actually uses. The type of arrangement will be listed here, but you can
hear it just as well.
Song: The name of the song that the game randomly selected.
Instrument: The instrument that the game randomly selected from the song.
Star Rank: However many stars you have.
Difficulty: Whatever the difficulty is, the higher your Star Rank, the higher
the difficulty is set.
If you pause during Live Mode play, you can only quit, not resume or restart.
Quitting will cause you to lose some of your Star Rank, and you'll get an even
bigger hit if you were doing very poorly when you quit. Shutting the game off
while playing Live Mode also has the same effect.
If you complete the song with a score between 85 and 90, you will most likely
remain at the same level (give or take a few points, depending on your Star
Rank), anything less will make you lose Stars and anything more may make you
increase in Stars. On the lower Star difficulties, getting a score above 95
may raise you multiple ranks at once, but its almost impossible to raise
multiple ranks at once on ranks 7 and 8.
If you perform well enough, the crowd may ask for an Encore. Normally you
can only play Live Mode once per day, but an Encore will allow you to
potentially raise more levels in 1 day. The Encore box is a simple [Yes] [No]
box. There is no penalty for refusing to accept an Encore.

DX10: Wi-Fi Download Menu
============================================
**IMPORTANT NOTE**
Before you even begin downloading songs from Wi-Fi, you need to know something
VERY important. You only get 100 Download slots, you can NEVER get more than
100 songs on your copy of the game and you can NEVER delete these songs, even
if you delete all of your player data and scores, even if you somehow were to
corrupt your game and force it to delete all the songs, that still wouldn't
work because Nintendo gave every copy of the game a "code" that is assigned
to a list in their database, so it keeps a record of what you download on
both your end, and theirs, so there is absolutely no way to bypass the 100
song download limit. Even if someone uploads a better version of a song you
have, you cannot get rid of the song. Before you download ANYTHING, be
ABSOLUTELY SURE you want this song.
Now then, coming directly from the Download Songs option on the main menu,
you will see a list of what you've downloaded on the top screen. This is what
you will see on the bottom screen.

Arrows - Scroll through the list of songs you've downloaded.
Huge Dial - Spin it to scroll through the list of songs you've downloaded
much faster.
Connect to Wi-Fi - Huge red button, press this to go to the Download Menu and
be given a Yes/No box asking if you want to connect to W-Fi.
100 - Shows how many songs you have remaining before you cannot download any
more. At the time of writing this, mine says 31, so that means I've downloaded
69 songs.
Rate Songs - Allows you to rate whatever song you currently have highlighted
(and playing) in this menu. In this small menu, the large purple button will
bring up a box where you can press the arrows to rate it between 1 and 5
Barbara Heads. Hit the red button to be asked to connect to Wi-Fi. You'll
be asked several times to confirm, and it'll save a couple times, so just keep
hitting "Yes". These ratings will be reflected on the Wi-Fi download list.
Wi-Fi Set - Your standard DS Wi-Fi settings menu, but in Japanese. I won't
be going through how to set it up since you can set it up in any other English
Wi-Fi game and the settings will carry over to all other games, and you have
a manual for that.
Wi-Fi Download Menu
=====================
Once you've hit the big red button, you'll be asked to connect to Wi-Fi.
Choose yes. The small green button on the new window is to cancel. You've now
arrived at this menu.

DL - Will have a white Kanji here if you've downloaded this song.
Name - Lists the song name, then scrolls to the left and shows the name of
the user who submitted the song.
Lyrics - Red Kanji means "Yes, this has lyrics and you can sing Karaoke with
it.", Blue Kanji means "No, this has no lyrics, you can't play it in Karaoke
mode".
Rating - Out of 5 Barbara Heads. Generally you'll almost never see anything
below a 4 because nobody downloads the poorly created songs.

loading period and you will be able to listen to the song and see it's
difficulty before you actually download it.

Wait a few moments for it to download and save. Once it's done, you'll be back
at the song list page.

Unfortunately, you cannot see the actual note charts, nor can you hear the
increased volume when highlighting an instrument like you can in other modes,
so you'll have to hope that the parts you want to play are not too hard
for your skill level.

If you want anything else, you'll need to Search for it. Keep in mind that
if the song/artist name is in Japanese, you need to search for it in either

Clicking the Options button on the Main Game Menu will bring you to this menu.

Player Name - Change the name you entered when you started the game.
Handedness - Change your handedness settings.
Signature - Change your signature that you wrote when you started the game.
Set Download Password - Pointless, as you can retrieve the password from this
menu. Its supposed to keep people from wasting your download slots.
Manage Download Songs - Allows you to "remove" songs from your Song Selection
Menu, but in reality it just hides them.
Delete Data - Erases your save data. This WILL NOT get rid of your download
songs, so don't even try it.
I won't be covering Wi-Fi settings since as I said earlier in the FAQ, you
can set them on any English Wi-Fi game.
Mic Test is used to check if your Mic is hearing things correctly.

DX14: Other Menus
============================================
In this section I'll cover the Radio menu, the Free-Play menu, the Instrument
Dictionary, Practice Mode and the options presented to you the first time you
turn the game on.
Starting the Game for the First Time
======================================
After the intro sequence (which you can skip after you see this), Barbara the
Bat will show up (you may remember her as an Assist Trophy from Super Smash
Bros. Brawl) and talk to you. Hold A to speed through this.
Then you'll be asked to enter your name. Click the [A/1] button on the left
to switch to an English keyboard. Enter your name and then press the big
button on the bottom.
Then Barbara will ask you if you're right or left handed, select your
dominant hand and continue.
Now you'll have to sign your name. You can just write anything you want, but
it'll show up on the main game menu. If you screw up, the button in the
top left corner erases the whole field. When you're done, hit the big red
button.
Now you'll see a screen where you are supposed to put your thumb print. Just
tap the screen and continue.
You will now see a door, tap twice on the door to knock and enter.
Just skip through all of the following dialog and options. Eventually you
will be presented with a tutorial on Beginner mode. Hit ANY button in time
with the music and happy face icons, and hold down the button as long as the
Tail stretches for.
After some more talking from Barbara, you'll get your first Star Rank increase
depending on how well you did the tutorial. She'll then ask you a question.
Select the Right Blue box (no) and you will continue chatting with her.
Eventually another "Your sign" ticket will show up, just tap the OK box.
Then another choice will pop up. If you pick the top box, she'll ask you a
bunch of questions, so just pick the bottom one to skip them all. You've
finally reached the main menu.
Practice Mode
================
Practice mode can either be accessed from the song selection menu, the pause
screen or the post-song screen.
After a moment of the song playing, your instrument will begin to auto-play,
and you can use this mode to practice completing hard songs, or see the note
chart before you begin playing.

Condition - Shows how far along in the song you are. Drag the white piece to
skip around.
Play/Pause - Obvious.

Tempo - Sure is an obvious screen here.
Difficulties - Switch between difficulties. From left to right, Beginner,
Amateur, Pro, Master.
On/Off - Auto-Pause, if you turn this on, and fail to hit a note in practice
mode, the song will pause and wait for you to hit it properly before resuming.
Radio Menu

The radio is a rather novelty feature in DBBDX, but the arrangements feature
can be interesting. Also to note is that you can plug headphones in, close
your DS and listen to the Radio.

Stuff up top - Go back a song, rewind, pause, fast forward, skip song.

with the arrows to pick different styles.
Random - Randomly chooses an arrangement style when you change songs.
LR On/Off - On allows you to use L and R to switch songs when you have the DS
closed while the radio is playing.

Return - Back to Radio.

Selecting the Free Play option on the Main Game menu will bring you to this
screen, where you can choose an input method, an instrument, and just JAM!

Hopefully this will answer a few questions that you may have.
Q: Can you play this game on an American DS?
A: The DS is region free, you can play it on any DS in the world.
Q: Is this game hard to understand without knowing Japanese?
A: Why do you think I wrote this FAQ? Actually, the GAMEPLAY requires NO
Japanese Knowledge (unless you're singing Karaoke), it's the menus and the
music editor that can cause language barrier issues.
Q: Is this game ever coming out in America?
A: Nintendo mentioned that they had some interest in bringing it to other
countries, but licensing issues are a major pain in the ass and it may never
happen for that exact reason.
Q: How do I know what songs I can and cannot upload to Wi-Fi?

Q: Why is this game in Midi!? Midi sucks!
A: Well so do you but you don't see me screaming about it.
Q: Why is there a 100 song download limit?
A: Two reasons, from what I understand. The first is that Nintendo's Wi-Fi
carrier didn't want everyone to be eating up bandwidth like crazy by
downloading songs, deleting them, downloading something else, over and over.
The second is that, due to licensing issues with JASRAC, they had to give the
game some sort of limit or else it would COST you to download every single
song.
Q: Why doesn't the game start? All I get is an error screen!
A: Because you're pirating the game. The game has a special save file that
won't allow it to be pirated unless you know what to do.
Q: Tell me what to do!
A: I can't do that, I'll be banned. Thats also not a question.
Q: What is a "bdx" file?
A: A bdx file is a DBBDX song file. Its possible to obtain them and load them
into a save file and create custom song lists without having to download, and
being able to bypass Nintendo's 100 download limit.
