There isn't much to say about this game. There are two parts to the game
(Shawn & Ace and Wandering Soul) and they are relatively straightforward.
There are a number of hidden items in both parts and the mazes can be a bit
frustrating, so here is a handy guide to just about everything in the game.
If I've missed anything, let me know by email. This is the point where I
should be telling you folks not to steal FAQs from me or something, but I
don't see myself being all that upset over it. The gaming community is one
big happy family, right? Right.
I find myself unable to believe that Masato Katou designed this game (it's
just so very simplistic), but hey, he's a man who likes writing about
mysterious houses and people just wandering into them for the hell of it.

Updates: 3/23/07: Updated location for silver slimes, thanks to William
R. Sosropartono.
2/2/07: Stats for the bluestone shield, thanks to Shawn Butts.
Also added a quick hint out of the Maze of Gems.
1/2/07: Upgraded the spell combination area in part 1 & 2, thanks
to Filay Minion. Redid some boss fights.
12/28/06: Added location for invisible stones. Yay, me! Also went
and confirmed location of Veritas Ring in part 1 and corrected
guide.
12/27/06: Added location of Veritas Ring in part 1 (thank Fred
Smith for this one!), cleaned up some text, added a quick guide
through the yellow hallway room.
11/23/06: Cleaned up and added a few more items in part 1.
11/21/06: About 90% done with Part 1. Some corrections made.
11/21/06: About 70% of Part 1 and 99% of Part 2 is done. I'm not
sure if I'm missing anything from part 2; if I am, let me know.
THINGS MISSING:
1. Where is the Tornado spell located in part 1?
2. Who else drops the legendary equipment?
I suspect that all the monsters who drop legendary equipment drop 1 of
at least 2 items in the set, but haven't been able to get alternate
equipment lists for them. I'm pretty sure more than one monster drops
the Whitestone Ring, for example.
3. Are there multiple endings in part 1? I've heard it's possible to
beat the game without having to get Ace, but I've always been blocked
from doing so.

* PART 1: SHAWN & ACE *****************************************************
===========================================================================
STUCK AT DOORS (OR BRIDGES):
1. Trying blowing into the microphone.
2. Scream into the microphone without stopping for breath.
3. Knock on the door.
4. Say "Open Sesame" into the microphone.
COVERED SPELLSTONES
1. Blow into the microphone until the dust clears.
2. Scratch at the stone with stylus until moss disappears.
3. "Silence is Golden" - blow into microphone and get ready to fight.
DEAF STUPID MICE
1. Say "hello" and "key". Loudly. (I suspect screaming "tits" or, in
fact, anything else into the microphone would also work, though.)
SPECIAL ITEMS TO BE SAVED AND USED MUCH, MUCH LATER
1. Brass Key
2. Rainbow Key
3. Juicy Bone
HELP, THE YELLOW FIRE BURNS
Get Amadeus. Use it, and run for the door like mad. If you can't make
it, there is a pathway to the left at the fork that leads to a chest
with another leaf.
HELP, THE MAZE OF GEMS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MAZE OF TWISTY PASSAGES!
If you wander the three mazes long enough, you'll get out. Each of the
so-called "random" warps really only generally warp you to one other
place, with the "alternate" warp usually to Parallel Labyrinth or to
another maze. The absolute fastest way to skip the mazes is to get to
the SE corner of the map in the Maze of Blue Gems (the first maze you
start in) and take the warps in the hidden room. Both warps will take
you to the room before the boss (the red warp will also take you to
the Parallel Labyrinth, but it's pretty unlikely... walked into it for
almost an hour before I got warped there.)
MY SWORD IS SUDDENLY SUCKING!
The RedStone Sword, Cursed Sword, and Dragon Sword drop in attack power
on levelup. The Falcon Sword goes up in attack very rapidly, but then
slows down significantly after 25. Not sure about the Gold, but I think
that goes up a very slow and steady pace. If you're not really all that
hardcore about getting everything, just use the Falcon Sword, because
even with a attack level slowdown you're already killing everything in
the game in one hit anyway.
RESURRECTION PROBLEMS
1. Where is the spell? Heavenly Corridor. To reach it, access the unstable
warp in Corridor of the Void. It may take a few tries.
2. Casting the spell: DON'T RUSH IT. Despite the seeming urgency of the
whole affair, you have a lot of time to cast it. Draw carefully and
slowly, and it will be fine. If you are having trouble, then practice
each spell separately outside the altar, and then combine the three.
I find that only Iaomai tends to fail with the greatest frequency.
FIGHTING BOSSES
1. Regular plain old schlub
Lock on and circle him continuously (holding left or right button)
while slashing. Just about 90% of the bosses go down easily.
Run after them when they fly off/teleport off/do whatever
and rinse and repeat.
2. Ice Hawk/Phoenix
Corner the sucker and slash continuously, then back up to the far
side of the room to heal. If you move fast enough, he doesn't
follow. Rinse and repeat.
3. Ganesha (Elephant boss)
Part A: Strafe and hit him. This part is straightforward.
Part B: When he transforms into an elephant, watch the upper screen
for signs where he will land. Move away from the spot where
he will land, since his landing will start a shockwave that
hits anything close by. Once the shockwave has passed, move
close to him and slash. Rinse and repeat.
4. Optional Crystal Boss (Rainbow Key room):
Part A: Slash continuously. Heal in room (close door and heal
before resuming fight).
Part B: Wait until he appears on you in upper screen, then move
out of way of stomp. Hit him when he returns to the base.
(You can only get one hit in). Rinse and repeat.
Part C: Do the same thing in part A, or just sling spells from a
distance.
5. Final Boss
Part A: Stay in middle platform and sling spells. Move out of the
way only when you see it raising its tentacle; it will
absorb HP if you get hit. Tornado does the most damage,
but Chion + Auxano are easier to draw and do a lot of
damage.
Part B: Go to bottom tier and hit repeatedly, or sling spells of
appropriate color. Watch out on the bottom tier; he has
a paralyzing attack. He also has a very powerful attack
on the middle tier that you can dodge by teleporting into
another platform - you can see her getting ready for it when
she starts crackling. I find using Chion + Auxano on the
top tier and an enhanced sword on the bottom tier kills
her off quickly.

* PART 2: WANDERING SOUL **************************************************
===========================================================================
________________________________________DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PART 1 & 2_____
1. The game is much harder and less newbie friendly. Save points are not
always immediately accessible and there is a good chunk of the game
where save points will NOT heal your HP and MP.
2. You keep the same sword throughout part 2. Sorry, no fun with Falcon
swords.
3. I am not entirely positive, but there seems to be a much higher sword
level requirement to cast sword-enhancing spells.
4. Hidden rooms play a much greater role in this part. There are many more
hidden areas, and some spells are only accessible early on through
hidden areas (Pagis comes to mind).
5. Most spells are learned through levelling, not through spellstones.
6. There are many more monsters that have the instant death spell. The
entire final dungeon is littered with them.
