01.) Introduction
===============================================================================

Code Lyoko is a brilliant little French animated series that was dubbed in
English and now airs on Cartoon Network. It is currently in its fourth season
and has a large fanbase in many different countries. What makes the series
unique is its genius blending of traditional animation and computer animation.
Unlike cartoons that came before it which tried the same tactic (the best
example is The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest), Code Lyoko found a way to
work the transitions between types of animation into the plot in a way that
makes absolute sense.

The popularity of Code Lyoko lead to the creation of the DS video game. It was
really a great idea to use the DS, because the dual nature of the system
reflects the dual nature of the series. The graphics switch between 2D and 3D
and the action shifts between the two screens. What results is a very unique
and interesting game experience. Hopefully this guide will help you to make it
through the game without getting lost or stuck. Enjoy!

03.) Disclaimor/Copyrights
===============================================================================

Code Lyoko belongs to Taffy Entertainment and Game Factory, not me. I am in
no way connected to or affiliated with the creators of this game, nor do I
claim any rights or ownership of it. This is a fan-created walkthrough.

The actual writing in this FAQ belongs to me. Please do not attempt to copy it
and call it your own work. Feel free to download it, save it to your computer,
print it out, etc. to use for personal purposes. Do NOT redistribute this FAQ
in any way. That means do not place it on your website (or anyone else's
website for that matter) or e-mail it to people. If you know someone who would
like to use it, it's far more simple to send them a link to where they can
download it themselves. Currently, it should only be available on Gamefaqs and
my Code Lyoko website (http://clinically-cynical.com/codelyoko).

If you find it somewhere else, please e-mail me with a link to where you found
it so that I can check it out. I'll never name you as the person who "told on"
the other website. If you'd like to put this FAQ on your website, e-mail me to
ask and send a link to your site.

Do NOT for any reason attempt to sell this guide for a profit. This is illegal
and just plain rude to boot.

05.) The Battle System
===============================================================================

The battle system of Code Lyoko is fairly simple. You do not engage in any
battles in the 2D game, only in the 3D game while the characters are in Lyoko.
You can use Odd, Ulrich, Yumi, or Aelita while in Lyoko, though sometimes you
you don't get many choices (for example, sometimes you can only use Odd or
Aelita or Yumi and Aelita), depending on the story. You will encounter
checkpoints scattered liberally throughout Lyoko which allow you to switch
to different characters or purchase upgrades/items. When your character is
devirtualized, they will materialize at the last checkpoint you walked through
when you reload them.

Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi all have three basic moves: The main attack (A button),
the secondary attack (X button), and the charge attack (Y button). To use the
charge attack, you must hold the Y button for a few seconds then release it to
perform the attack. You can also block with the B button, which is very handy
as it usually prevents you from taking any damage whatsoever and can protect
you from all angles. Aelita can only block and use a charge attack, but you
can upgrade her block ability to make it more useful (such as being able to
walk while blocking). All characters also have a special ability activated by
the touch screen.

Each character has a set number of Life Points (basically, hit points). They
all begin the game with 100 Life Points, but you can upgrade this number as
you progress. You lose Life Points when you're attacked by enemies, when you
hit a Firewall (more on Firewalls below), and when you fall off an edge
into the digital sea. Once you lose all your Life Points, your character will
be devirtualized and you'll have to select another character or Reload the
character. Reloading takes up Blue Databits (more on these later), so try not
to do it too often or you'll end up not being able to purchase many upgrades.
You'll also be automatically devirtualized if you fall into the digital sea,
but you can reload without using Blue Databits, only with 25 Life Points
deducted.

Each character also has a set amount of Lyoko Power (which you can upgrade).
Lyoko Power is what allows you to use your characters' special abilities.
These abilities can only be used in specific areas, designated with icons
matching the ability so you know when/where you can use them and which
character you need to switch to. To activate the special ability, be sure to
have the correct character and approach the blue icon for the ability. When
you're close enough, a matching icon will light up on the touch screen. This
lets you know you are close enough to use it. Touch the icon and move the
directional pad in the way you need to go. For example, to float with Aelita
you will have to touch and hold the Levitate icon while you press the
directional pad in the direction you want her to float. Using these special
abilities takes up Lyoko Power. When you run out, you can't use the abilities
anymore, so keep an eye on your Lyoko Power points.

On Lyoko you can find plenty of Data Bits. Green Data Bits restore Life Points,
Yellow Data Bits restore Lyoko Power, and Blue Data Bits have a completely
different use. These are the Data Bits you will find the most of, and they are
extremely important. Blue Data Bits are used to purchase upgrades and also to
reload your characters when they have been devirtualized. Upgrading your
characters is essential to moving along in the game, so it's important not to
waste too many Blue Data Bits reloading your characters. You can find Data Bits
of all colors scattered all over Lyoko. You also get Data Bits of all colors by
defeating monsters. Lastly, you will sometimes find Data Wells, glowing spheres
full of Blue Data Bits that you must destroy to acquire the Data Bits.
Sometimes you can take an alternate path to collect more Data Bits, and I
think it's always well worth the trouble.

Once you gather enough Blue Data Bits, you can begin purchasing upgrades. These
upgrades come in many forms, from upgrading your attack power and defense to
the number of Life Points you have. These are all important upgrades, but you
can also purchase powerful combo attacks. Once mastered, these combos can
literally save you in this game and make combat a lot more fun. Many combos can
take out two or more enemies in one hit, if the monsters are close enough
together. To execute combos, you must be able to get your timing right. You
can't simply press the button sequence very quickly. You have to do it somewhat
slowly, putting just the right amount of time between button presses. It can
be difficult to get the timing down, so I recommend practicing the new combos
you buy before you try them out in combat. Once you learn the timing, the
combos become like second nature to you.

On Lyoko you will encounter different types of Firewalls. These Firewalls
prevent you from moving forward until you disable them. Red Firewalls are the
most common. Whenever a Red Firewall appears, you will have to defeat monsters
in order to disable it and continue. Whenever you encounter a Blue Firewall,
you'll have to seek out an Uplink Pad (a small blue platform sitting on the
ground) and step on it to disable the Blue Firewall. Sometimes you'll be
required to step on more than one Uplink Pad, so pay close attention when
Jeremie is talking to you in the game. White Firewalls must be disabled in a
completely different way. To disable one, you must use a Data Terminal to
solve a hacking puzzle. Note that touching any sort of Firewall will cause
damage to your character.

Finally, you can use two different items while in Lyoko: Life Point packs and
Lyoko Power packs. These are purchased with Blue Data Bits and each character
can only carry one of each item at a time. These are incredibly useful, as
they allow you to restore your characters without having to reload from the
last checkpoint and repeat a lot of work. When carrying these items, they will
each have an icon on the touch screen. To use the item, simply touch the icon.

===============================================================================
06.) The Menus
===============================================================================

You have several different menus in this game. The first you'll encounter is in
the 2D game. To bring up this menu, simply press the X button or touch the
correct icon on the Touch Screen. This menu is simply your inventory displaying
the items in your character's possession. This menu is automatically brought
up when you need to use an item.

The next menu is used in Lyoko and is always displayed on the bottom screen.
This menu displays your current/max Life Points and Lyoko Power, as well as
the items your character is carrying, your current number of Blue Data Bits, a
map of the area, and your special ability icon (which will light up when you
are in range to use the ability). You must use this menu to use items and
abilities.

Another menu is in the Character Select section. When you highlight a character
you can choose to Select them (which takes you straight to Lyoko) or you can
choose the Download function. When you select Download, you'll be taken to
another menu where you can purchase upgrades and items. When you select an
upgrade, you'll be told what the upgrade does and the cost of the upgrade. You
can then choose to purchase it or cancel. This menu also displays the button
sequences for the combos, so it's handy if you forget the buttons you need to
push (just go back into this menu and select a combo you already have to see
the button sequence).

===============================================================================
07.) Characters
===============================================================================

Ulrich
..............................................................................
Ulrich is playable in the 2D game as well as the 3D game. He's a somewhat
serious boy who has a rather blatant crush on Yumi and is best friends with
Odd. He has a close friendship with both Jeremie and Aelita. He takes the
battles in Lyoko very seriously. He's a proud fighter and a devoted friend, but
he has his share of problems in the form of an over-bearing father who expects
too much from him and his insecurities about Yumi.

As a fighter, Ulrich is strong and easy to use, unless you're dealing with
flying monsters. He's a close-range fighter who uses a saber. His special
ability is the Dash ability, which allows him to run at high speed across
collapsing/turning platforms. In the racing levels, Ulrich uses the Overbike.

Ulrich's Combos:

Sting Sabre - X A A

Spinning Sabre - X X A

Dragon Sabre - A A X

Flip Sabre - A X A

Dragon-Flip Sabre - A A X A

Odd
..............................................................................
Odd is playable in the 2D game and the 3D game. He's a very humorous character
who doesn't take anything seriously, whether it be the battles on Lyoko or his
real life. Despite this, he's dedicated to his friends and regularly puts his
life on the line to help them. He has a dog named Kiwi who secretly lives in
his dorm room (which is against the rules). He also has a very complicated
love life.

On Lyoko, Odd is a quick fighter who uses long-range attacks. Of all the
characters, I found it easiest to dodge and evade attacks with Odd. His
weapons are laser arrows that he fires at the enemy. His special ability is
the Climb ability, which allows him to scale cliffs and mountains. In the
racing levels, Odd uses the Overboard.

Odd's Combos:

Seeking Shots - X X A

Feline Shots - A A X

Backdraft Shots - A A B

Beam Shot - X X B

3-Ways Shots - A X A

Yumi
..............................................................................
Yumi is playable in the 2D game and the 3D game. She's a talented girl who is
a year older than the other characters and lives off-campus. She's intelligent
and practical, as well as skilled in gymnastics. She doesn't seem to have many
friends her own age, but gets along well with Ulrich and the others. She seems
to have a crush on Ulrich but her feelings are somewhat unclear. She's usually
the voice of reason among the group.

In battle, Yumi is a balanced fighter who can use close and long range attacks.
She uses metal fans that she can throw at the enemy (they always return to her).
Of all the characters, I've found Yumi's combos to be the most useful. In some
cases I've taken out three enemies with one hit of the Screw Fans combo. Her
special ability is the Telekinesis ability, which allows her to lift heavy
objects such as rocks and boulders to clear paths. In the racing levels Yumi
uses the Overwing.

Yumi's Combos:

Screw Fans - A A B

Swipe Fans - A A X

Blast Back - X A B

Blast Forward - X X A

Twirl Fans - X A X

Aelita
..............................................................................
Aelita is playable in the 2D and 3D game. You don't get to see much of her
personality in the early parts of the game, but she's a kind and compassionate
girl who has a talent for dealing with computers and other technical devices.
She very much wants to fit in with rest of her friends and experience all their
world has to offer, but for now, she's stuck on Lyoko. She and Jeremie have
something of a romantic relationship, caring deeply about each other and sharing
the occasional kiss.

In Lyoko, Aelita is very important and is the one character you will have to use
for every single Lyoko level, as she must deactivate the towers. She also has to
disable the White Firewalls. She can't use normal attacks but she can block
and has a great upgrade for it (the ability to walk while blocking). She can use
a charge attack as well. Her special ability is the Levitation ability. This
allows her to float over gaps to reach areas otherwise unavailable. Many times
this ability is required to move forward with the game, and sometimes useful for
reaching Blue Data Bits in out-of-the-way areas. Aelita uses the Overwing in the
racing levels.

Jeremie
..............................................................................
Jeremie is only playable in the 2D game, but he is a reliable source of info in
the 3D game. He will often warn you of upcoming hazards or give you tips on
how to proceed. He is a technical genius and was the first among the group to
discover Lyoko. He cares for Aelita very much and would do anything to help
her. So he regularly sends his friends to Lyoko to protect her until she can
deactivate the towers. Jeremie is also the one who programmed the vehicles
used in the racing levels. Sometimes Jeremie has to complete the hacking
puzzles move the story along.

08.) Walkthrough
===============================================================================

Here is the meat of this FAQ, the walkthrough. There are some things I'd like
to point out before going further:

1. This walkthrough is, for the most part, spoiler-free. If I absolutely must
spoil something in order to explain something important to gameplay, I'll be
sure to include a spoiler warning that will look like this: !!SPOILER WARNING!!
I will then put this at the end of the spoiler: !!END SPOILER WARNING!! As of
right now, I don't foresee any reason to spoil anything, so it shouldn't be a
problem.

2. I will sometimes use the terms east, west, etc. When I use these terms, I
am referring to directions on the screen. In case you don't know, east is to
the right and west is to the left. Note that this will not always be your
character's left or right, but simply the direction on the screen. When I use
the terms left and right, I am speaking of your left or right, from your
perspective looking at the screen, not the character's left or right.

3. I've tried to cover all areas of each Lyoko level. There are often alternate
paths you can take to gather more Data Bits and I've tried to be as thorough
as possible in pointing them all out. However, I'm sure I've probably missed
a few and I apologize for that. If you've spotted an alternate path that I
haven't included in the walkthrough, please feel free to email me to tell me
about it so I can include it in a future version of the FAQ.

4. When it comes to the 2D game, I will give you specific directions each
time you have to go to an area you've never been before. After that, when you
have to go back to an area, I will assume you know how to get there. If you
find yourself stuck and can't remember how to get to a specific area, you
can always scroll up through the guide to find the directions from an earlier
level.

Basic Tips
..............................................................................

Here are some basic tips and pointers for getting through the game safely.
Please keep in mind that all of these don't work all the time, but I've found
that they are generally helpful in most situations.

1. Only use Aelita when you absolutely have to. Even if the tower is in sight,
always run all the way up to it to make sure there are no monsters nearby.
Sometimes you'll think it's just a clear path to the tower, and you'll get
caught in a Red Firewall. If you're playing as Aelita, chances are very slim
that you can make it out (the only way would be to block until the enemy fire
is deflected back at them, which only happens occasionally and takes several
times to kill a monster, or to keep using her charge attack, which is
unreliable at best).

2. In the early stages of the game, don't underestimate the block function.
Before you have access to some of the combos, getting surrounded by hornets
can be rough. Hornets will occasionally stop firing and hover for a few
seconds. You can block until they do this, fire a few shots at them, then go
back to blocking when they begin to fire again.

3. If you're playing as a character who has all their Life Points, and you
stumble upon several Green Data Bits, it might be worth your time to run
back to a checkpoint and switch to a character who is low on Life Points so
they can round up the Data Bits.

4. When riding moving platforms, always wait for a few seconds and study
their movement before stepping onto a different one.

5. Always have each character carry a Life Point pack. They're not very
costly and you can buy a fresh one at any checkpoint. Whenever you use one,
be sure to buy another one at the next checkpoint. I also recommend
having Aelita always carry a Lyoko Power pack, as she tends to use more
Lyoko Power than anyone else.

6. Use your own judgement when buying upgrades, as each person has a
different playing style. But I personally recommend buying the Attack and
Defense upgrades for each character as soon as possible. Be sure to get at
least one combo for each character as early as you can.

7. The puzzles in this game are very simple. I will always tell you which
pieces you need to use, but I don't generally tell you exactly where those
pieces go. If you know which pieces to use, it should be incredibly obvious
where to put them.

Level One
..............................................................................

The first level serves as a tutorial. It's very short and simple. You begin
the game as Ulrich, in Jeremie's room. Jeremie will explain the controls to
you and tell you to do a few things as part of the tutorial. It's all very
simple, so follow the directions to get through this quickly.

You'll eventually be told to get a backup disk for Jeremie. Exit the room to
find yourself in the hall. Walk straight across the hall to the left and
enter the door to find Odd and Ulrich's room. The backup disk can be found in
the left cabinet. Return to Jeremie's room to give him the backup disk.

Now you'll be at the factory. Go to the Scanner Room and you'll automatically
end the level. You can save now.

Level Two
..............................................................................

The first level in Lyoko is easy and, like the previous level in 2D, serves as
a tutorial. You'll begin as Ulrich and Jeremie will explain the controls to
you again. Run forward gathering all the Blue Data Bits. You'll soon reach a
checkpoint, so use it to switch to Odd. Be sure to search the area for Blue
Data Bits.

Now you'll see a cliff up ahead with the icon for Odd's Climb ability. Use it
to climb up two walls and continue forward. Now you'll have your first battle,
so take care of the monsters and continue. Run down a hill to the north east
then run straight. Now you'll have to switch to Yumi at the nearby checkpoint
so you can use her Telekinesis to move a boulder. Once past the boulder, you
will have to fight more monsters. Take care of them and continue. You'll
come upon your first Data Well, a sphere full of Blue Data Bits. Attack it to
destroy the sphere and collect the Data Bits. Continue to reach another
checkpoint. Now you'll need to switch back to Ulrich.

Continue to see a turning bridge. Use Ulrich's Dash ability to run across it.
Wait until it turns flat and immediately run across. In the next area, don't
attempt to continue forward to the north because you'll fall into the digital
sea. Instead, look to the eastern edge of the area to see a moving platform.
Ride the moving platforms to the next area. You'll see another checkpoint.
Run forward as Ulrich to make sure there are no monsters (you'll sometimes see
a lone Kankrelat here). Then return to the checkpoint and switch to Aelita.
Approach the tower to automatically enter it and you'll have to complete a
hacking puzzle. Use the top piece on each side of the screen to solve it.

Level Three
..............................................................................

You begin this level as Jeremie, in his room. Walk across the hall to Odd's
room to speak to him. Now leave his room and move north, up the hall, and exit
into the stair well. Don't bother trying to go up the stairs here because it's
locked. Go down the stairs then exit off the right side of the screen. Move
down this hall and enter the bottom door on the right (the only one open). Now
Jeremie says he has to catch Ulrich before class. Go back to the stair well and
exit south off the screen to go outside. You'll see Sissi so talk to her.

Now head to the north west area of the screen and exit. You should be by the
cafeteria, so go by it and to the next screen. Now move south and around the
small gate on the left to find Ulrich and Yumi. Now go north to the Science
Building (you can see it in the background behind Ulrich and Yumi). Enter the
door, go down the hall, and enter the door at the top left area of the screen.

Talk to the teacher in here, then go back into the hall and talk to Ulrich and
Odd. Now leave the science building area and go south, then go north east. Go
east, by the Administration building then go south off the screen. Now go north
off the screen. Move south toward the gate and watch the scene.

You'll be back in Jeremie's room now, so check his computer. Go find Ulrich in
the library (in the Administration building) and talk to him. After doing so,
you'll find yourself in the factory again. Examine the scanners to find out
that you need a battery. Go to the lift entrance and talk to Odd to get his
video game (a DS Lite). Go back to the scanner room, examine the scanner again
and use the video game. Complete another puzzle (again, top piece from each
side) then head to the laboratory and examine the computer.

Level Four
..............................................................................

You should have enough Blue Data Bits to purchase a few upgrades, so do so now
if you want. Or you can wait and get more to make a larger purchase.

You can pick Ulrich or Odd here. I personally like to start out with Ulrich,
but it's up to you. Ride the platform around to the right side (to gather all
the Data Bits). Continue and fight some monsters. Ride the moving platform to
the north first, to reach a Data Well, then ride it to the right.

Defeat more monsters here, then run north until you see the Levitate icon.
Switch to Aelita and levitate to the right to reach a Data Well, then levivate
back and switch to Odd/Ulich. Continue north to encounter a Blue Firewall.
Remember not to touch it! The Uplink pad is clearly visible, so step on it to
disable the Firewall. Run north toward the tower to fight more monsters.

Run back to the checkpoint and switch to Aelita. Now run to the tower. This
puzzle seems tricky at first, but just place the small two-block piece in the
bottom left corner and the other pieces will be highly obvious from there.

Level Five
..............................................................................

You'll begin as Odd in his room. Head for the school yard and talk to Milly and
Tamiya, then go find Ulrich. Head north west, then east past the cafeteria,
then around the gate toward the west and talk to Sissi.

You'll be back in Odd's room. Head for the Administration building and talk to
Jeremie. Enter the building and head through the north door, then through the
only unlocked door to talk to Miss Weber. Grab the key from her desk when she
has her back turned, then leave the room. Go back to where you talked to
Jeremie and talk to him again.

Go back to Miss Weber's office and use the key on the door to the Principal's
office. Now you have to gather up the phones. Jeremie's phone is on the book
case in the back of the room, on the right side. Yumi's phone is on the metal
cabinet on the far left side of the room. Odd's phone is behind the Principal's
desk, toward the right (on the ground, you can't see it so just walk around
back there until you see the "Take" icon). Ulrich's phone is on the back end of
the metal cabinet you see when you first enter the room (someone else's phone
is on the cabinet too, but you can't take it).

Now return to Jeremie to talk to him and you'll end up in the factory again.
Go to the scanner room and walk toward the scanners to complete the level.

Level Six
..............................................................................

Pick Yumi or Odd. Head north and ride the platforms. I recommend riding them to
the left to gather up Data Bits first, then head toward the right. As you run
forward you'll notice two paths. The one to the left takes you across even
more moving platforms and other sections of the sector that allow you to fight
some more enemies and gather a lot more Data Bits. If you're not concerned with
Data Bits, just head toward the path on the right. You'll need Yumi here, so if
you didn't choose her initially, backtrack to a checkpoint and switch.

Lift the boulder blocking your way and walk under it (don't run, as you'll risk
falling off the edge). Once you're past it, run forward to fight some enemies
(they're pretty tough so be careful and make use of your combos). Move across
some more moving platforms and the rest of the path is fairly linear. Just keep
moving north, fighting more enemies, until you reach the tower (there's a
checkpoint nearby so you can switch to Aelita). To solve the puzzle, use the
top piece on each side and the second piece down on the left side.

Level Seven
..............................................................................

You start out as Yumi in her bedroom. Exit the room and go down the stairs. Go
down the hall and take the first door you come to on the right (the only one
available right now) to talk to Yumi's mom. Exit the room and continue down the
hall to exit south off the screen.

Outside, exit south off the screen. On the new screen, head a little west until
the whole street comes into view, then head north to the next screen. Now head
a little west and then south off the screen. Head south again, then west to
reach a four-way crossing. Take the west path. Head north to the next screen to
find yourself outside the Science building. Go around the gate toward the east
then head west past the cafeteria to trigger a scene. Follow the rats off the
screen. Now head back to the previous screen (where you first spotted the rats)
and walk into the outdoor school corridor. Head north to the next screen to see
Jeremie.

Follow Jeremie until he stops, then talk to him. Go back on screen and go to
the door on the right side (it's a little hard to see, so just walk to that
side and wait for the door icon to show up). The key is on the wall in the
bottom left corner of the screen. Return to Jeremie. He'll tell you that you
have the wrong key, so go back one screen and enter the lower door on the left
side to reach the Boy's Cloakroom. The key fits a locker on the left side.
Inside you'll find the boiler room key, so return to Jeremie again. From here,
just follow Jeremie to the lift, then head to the scanner room.

Level Eight
..............................................................................

This is the first challenging level, because you only have two characters to
use instead of three or four. Above all, make sure you have Yumi's Screw Fans
combo, as it will keep you alive in this level. Also make sure Yumi is carrying
a Life Point pack at all times. When you use one, buy another one for her at
the next checkpoint. If at all possible, get the Life Point upgrade for her as
well (though you certainly don't have to have it; I didn't).

Start out with Yumi, of course, and run forward to fight some monsters. Now
you'll encounter a Blue Firewall. It's a double one, so you have to find two
Uplink pads. You can go left or right here, and both require you to use Aelita,
so switch to her. It doesn't matter which way you go first, but I started with
the left, so let's cover that way first. Float across and you'll see a
checkpoint, so I recommend switching to Yumi. There are some Green Data Bits
here and chances are that you lost some Life Points with Yumi anyway, so
switch to her and grab them.

Move forward to fight even more monsters. This is a pretty tough set, so be
careful. After defeating them, follow the path until you reach a moving
platform. Wait until it comes down, then step onto it to ride it up (I assume
that if you're under it when it comes down, you'll be devirtualized, but I
didn't test this). Once you ride it up, you'll see a checkpoint and an icon
for Aelita's ability, so you can switch to her now. I recommend going a little
south and smashing the Data Well before switching though.

When you switch, float over to the next area to step on the first Uplink pad,
then float back. You can switch to Yumi if you want, but you don't need to
(you have to use Aelita again anyway, and I didn't spot any monsters on my way
back). Ride the moving platform back down and go back the way you came (to
where you first saw the Blue Firewall).

This time go right. Float across with Aelita then switch back to Yumi and grab
the Green Databits (she probably needs them). Now ride the two moving platforms
to the next area. You'll have to fight more monsters, then head left to find a
checkpoint. Switch to Aelita and float across to step on the second Uplink pad,
then float back. May as well stay as Aelita because you have to do a lot of
floating. Go back to where the Blue Firewall was, only to find it gone. Now
you have to float several times, so do so until you reach a checkpoint, where
you should switch to Yumi.

Follow the path, fighting the occasional monster, until you reach a point where
you have to fight a few monsters. Take out the three hornets, but beware that
your first Megatank will appear. These are the toughest monsters so far, as
blocking is ineffective and their beam attack can take out even a healthy
character in one hit. Watch for it to open up, and when it does, you have a
chance to attack it a little while it charges up its beam. When it charges up,
run to the side! Watch for it to roll at you. A few Screw Fan combos should
take it out rather quickly. Continue on past the checkpoint and round up the
Data Bits, then take out a couple of monsters before switching to Aelita.
Now switch and dactivate the tower. To solve the puzzle, use the first piece on
each side and the second piece on the left side.

Level Nine
..............................................................................

You start out as Ulrich. Leave the room and go talk to Jeremie in his room. Now
you have to try and find Sissi. Leave Jeremie's room and walk down the hall. Go
outside to find Sissi and talk to her.

Now go back inside and go up the stairs. You can finally go up the second
flight of stairs now, to the Girls' Dormitory, so do so. Go to where Odd is
standing and talk to him, then go into Sissi's room (the bottom door on the
left). Check Sissi's bed to find her doll. Take it. You can examine a few more
things in her room for fun if you like, but you can't take anything else. The
diary isn't in here, so go back into the hall and talk to Odd again. Now you
have to find Herb, who Odd says is at the Crossroads.

Go outside and go directly left to find Nicolas. Talk to him. Now you have to
make your way to the gym. Go back one screen and head north, along the school
wall. Then head west off the screen. On the next screen, head west, toward the
outside court. Head all the way west across the screen here, then west again to
find Herb. Talk to him. Now head back to the cafeteria (you should know where
it is). As soon as you step inside, a scene occurs. Now you'll be playing as
Odd. Go into the factory, to the lift, and go to the Scanner room.

Level Ten
..............................................................................

Choose Odd. Run forward to ride some moving platforms. I suggest taking your
time and riding each one as far as it goes to collect a few Data Bits. Move
forward to fight a couple of easy monsters and then step on the nearby Uplink
pad to disable the Blue Firewall. Move forward to a checkpoint. Keep going and
you'll have to fight a few rounds of hornets. Take care of them and move on.

Once you find another checkpoint, you can go left here and use Odd's ability to
climb and find a lot of Data Bits (completely unguarded too!). Then go right to
find more moving platforms. I recommend riding all of them to gather Data Bits
(beware that these moving platforms are a little quicker and trickier than
usual). The one on the right takes you to the area near the tower, so use it
last.

Once you reach the next area, run forward toward the tower to fight several
monsters. Then go back south to the checkpoint to switch to Aelita so you can
float to the next area. You'll automatically trigger a scene and then have to
solve a puzzle. To solve it, use the first piece on each side and the second
piece on the left side (noticing a pattern yet?). Now you'll have to select a
character to continue. Choose Odd and run for the tower. You'll have to fight
some monsters, so take care of them and continue to another checkpoint. Switch
to Aelita and enter the tower. Can you guess how to solve the puzzle here? Yes,
it's the same as before: first piece on each side and second piece on the left.

Level Eleven
..............................................................................

Surprisingly, you begin this level on Lyoko. Choose a character (I recommend
Yumi, as you have to use her ability very soon, but there's a checkpoint right
up ahead so it doesn't make much difference). Do NOT run back, you will fall
off the edge (that's what I got for checking behind me for Data Bits).

Run forward and around the gap (go around both sides to get Data Bits), then go
by the check point and switch to Yumi if you didn't pick her already. Use her
ability on the tree blocking your path and continue forward.

You'll run into some exploding monsters, so attack them from a distance and
continue to the next checkpoint. You'll see two different paths from here. Take
the one on the left and you'll have to fight a few monsters. You'll reach an
area where you can continue left or move north, over a small bridge. If you go
left, you'll circle around to where the path first split (in doing so, you'll
be covering the path on the right that you didn't take earlier). You'll fight
some monsters along this path, but nothing too challenging. You'll get more
Data Bits too. Whether you do this or not, eventually you need to cross the
bridge to head north.

Once you cross the bridge, you'll have to fight a couple of Blocks. Now the
path splits again. You can go north and use Yumi's telekinesis or you can
ride the moving platform on the right.

Go north with Yumi and use her ability to move the obstruction. You'll see
another checkpoint. Switch to Odd and move forward to use his climb ability
(you can go right a little to get some Data Bits, but the path itself is
short and leads nowhere, so round them up quickly and move on). At the top
is a Data Well, so destroy it and collect the Data Bits, then return to where
you saw the moving platforms.

These platforms are a little tricky. While you ride them, you have to dodge
the trees sticking out that threaten to knock you off. It's not really hard, as
long as you pay attention. Just watch the approaching trees and move to the
appropriate end (or middle) of the platform to avoid them. A checkpoint is
waiting when you reach the next area.

Run forward to fight more monsters, then continue to some moving platforms.
These are a little more simple, so just ride them along until you reach the
checkpoint to switch to Aelita and enter the tower. To solve the puzzle, use
(you guessed it) the first piece on each side and the second piece on the left.

Level Twelve
..............................................................................

You start out as Yumi. Talk to Milly and Tamiya. Now you want to find Jim. Head
right one screen and you should spot him near the entrance to the
Administration building. Talk to him.

Now you want to find Ulrich and Odd. Head right one screen to see them. Go talk
to them. Now you have to go talk to Jeremie. Head for the gym. You'll find
Jeremie by the side entrance. Talk to him, then go back and talk to Ulrich and
Odd again.

Now you'll be back in the factory, so go on inside and ride the lift to the
Laboratory. Talk to Ulrich and Odd, then examine Jeremie's computer. After a
scene, go talk to Jeremie (the one in the back).

Level Thirteen
..............................................................................

You'll now have to go to Lyoko. You can only use Aelita, so be very careful.
Luckily, there are no monsters whatsoever in this level, but you still lose
Life Points by touching Firewalls or falling off edges. I recommend keeping a
Life Point pack with you. If you fall off to the point that you only have
twenty-five Life Points left, use it. Remember that once Aelita runs out of
Life Points, you can't Reload her even if you have plenty of Blue Data Bits.

Run forward and you'll see a Blue Firewall. You can take two different paths
here, but the one on the right disables the Firewall, so let's go there first.
Ride the moving platform and continue along the path until you reach the Uplink
pad. Beyond the Uplink pad, the path continues to a Data Well. Once you collect
all the Data Bits, return to where you saw the Firewall. It'll be gone now, but
there's another Blue Firewall up ahead.

This time you have to take the left path. There are two Uplink pads in this
area, and I assume you have to step on both (I didn't go back to see if the
Firewall disappeared after only stepping on one, and they are close enough
together that it's not a waste of time to get them both even if only one
would work).

Now, to take the left path, you have to go a little left and then south. Follow
this path to ride several moving platforms heading north. Once you get to the
end, follow the path until you spot the Uplink pad. Step on it. To the left
you'll see more moving platforms (they move up and down). Ride them up to the
top to reach a Data Well (Aelita can destroy it with her charge attack, if
you didn't know). Ride them back down and continue across them to the left.
It may look like a dead end, but it's actually not. You can now run south, up
the icy hill. Look VERY closely as you run along the hill. You'll eventually
spot a pathway on the left side of the hill, leading down. Follow it to find
the other Uplink pad. Alternately, you can run along the hill until you see the
Uplink pad below, then drop off the hill to reach it. You can get back up the
hill via the path I mentioned earlier.

Once you've activated the third Uplink pad, return to where you saw the second
Blue Firewall. Note that you can go back around a different way, by following
the icy hill all the way to the end (riding a lot of moving platforms). You
can get a few Data Bits here, but in my opinion not enough to make it worth
your trouble.

With the second Blue Firewall gone, just continue north and follow the rather
linear path. When you finally have to solve the puzzle, you may be surprised
to find that the solution is different from previous puzzles. To solve it, use
the top left piece, the second piece on the right, and the bottom piece on the
right.

Level Fourteen
..............................................................................

You start out as Yumi. Talk to Jeremie. Go into Yumi's house and go to the
kitchen. Talk to Yumi's mom, then go into the dining room and get the black
book from the shelf in the back right area of the screen. Now go back to the
kitchen and talk to her mom again.

Now go outside and go north, west up the street to the next screen. Go left
here, then go right to find some trash cans. Check them to find the address
book. Now return to Yumi's house and talk to her mother in the kitchen again.

Now you're in Jeremie's room again. You have to solve another puzzle (use all
the pieces on the left side and the second piece on the right side). Now you're
playing as Odd. Talk to Ulrich, then head to the shed. Go through the woods
and keep going right until you find the shed. Check the door to find that it's
locked. Now check the dumpster to find the key. Use the key on the door, go in,
and get the spray paint. Now go to the gym (one screen right).

You'll see a few scenes, and eventually you'll have to solve another puzzle.
It's the same as the previous one (all pieces on the left, second piece on
the right).

Level Fifteen
..............................................................................

Choose a character and move forward. Fight the Blocks and continue to find a
checkpoint. You can go north across the moving platforms here or go right down
some stairs. Switch to Yumi here and go right to grab the green Data Bits, then
continue along the path to fight more monsters. Keep moving toward the right
until you see the icon to use Yumi's ability. Beyond the boulder is a Data Well
so grab the Data Bits and go back to the checkpoint.

Now head north across the moving platforms (take your time and ride each one
to the side to get the Data Bits). When you reach the other side, continue
north to find another checkpoint.

At this point, Jeremie will begin giving you directions. If you follow them,
you'll get through the level much more quickly, however, you'll miss out on a
lot of Data Bits. So, choose to follow his directions here and go right, or go
left and ride the moving platforms. If you ride them, you'll reach another area
where you'll fight a few monsters. Continue left to reach another checkpoint.
Keep going left to reach another area, where there's normally a lone Block
guarding a Data Well. Defeat it and grab the Data Bits.

Continue left to ride some moving platforms. When you reach an area that looks
like a dead end, go to the top right corner and you'll see that you can jump
down here to land on solid ground. Do so and you'll be very close to the
checkpoint you went through earlier where Jeremie told you to go right.

Now you can go to the right, so follow that path down some stairs. Be prepared
to block as soon as you get to the bottom of the stairs, as a Block is waiting
for you. Destroy it and continue along the narrow path to the north. You'll
have to fight some more monsters, then go right to find more moving platforms.
Ride them and you'll reach a checkpoint and an icon for Odd's ability. Switch
to him and climb up.

Now Jeremie will give you directions again. He'll tell you to go right, but
like before, if you go left (or rather north in this case), you'll find more
Data Bits. More monsters also, but I think it's worth your trouble. So,
continue north across the narrow path and then you'll fight some more monsters
(all Blocks). After you take care of them, head to the right to find a Data
Well and some loose Blue Data Bits. Grave them and return to where Jeremie
told you to go right. Go right and you'll have to fight more monsters. There's
a Megatank among them, so be careful. After you take care of them, continue
north to the tower. There's a checkpoint nearby so you can switch to Aelita.

Level Sixteen
..............................................................................

Choose Yumi, as you have to use her ability right off the bat. Lift the tree
and continue. You'll have to fight some monsters, so take care of them and
go north. The moving platforms here are a little tricky. You can simply ride
it to the other side easily, but to get the Blue Data Bits, you have to ride
both the left and right platforms. The tricky part is that the middle platform
doesn't stop between the left and right platforms, so you have to move between
them while the middle platform is still moving. Time it right, and it'll be
easy.

Once you get to the other side, you'll see a checkpoint and some Blue Data
Bits. Grab them and continue right. Follow this path until you fight some more
monsters. Now you'll see the icon for Ulrich's ability to the left. If you
follow the north path, you'll find a checkpoint. Follow this path to the end to
find a Data Well, then return to the spot where you need to use Ulrich. Run
across the bridge to find some exploding monsters. Deal with them and continue
to the left. You'll have to cross another bridge with Ulrich's ability, then
continue left again. Here you'll face more monsters. Defeat them and continue.

You'll have to cross a few more bridges with Ulrich, so keep an eye on his
Lyoko Power. There is a trick to these bridges, so watch them move and study</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
their patterns. Sometimes they will begin turning from your end, and sometimes
from the opposite end. When they begin turning at the other end, you will get
knocked off when you try to cross. So watch for them to begin turning at the
other end, then run across the next time it's flat (because every other time,
they will begin turning from your end, which you can outrun).

Continue this way until you reach an area with a checkpoint and an icon for
Yumi's ability. Switch to Yumi now and use her ability to get past the tree.
Now follow the path until you have to fight more monsters. There's another
Megatank here, but it will often roll off the edge without you having to
beat it, so it's not so hard. Just ahead is a checkpoint and the tower, so
switch to Aelita. To solve the puzzle, follow the current pattern and use all
pieces on the left side and the second piece on the right.

Level Seventeen
..............................................................................

You'll begin playing as Jeremie. Go check the computer, watch the small scene,
and check the computer again. After the scene, the level is over. Short, huh?

Level Eighteen
..............................................................................

This is your first racing level. In the beginning, Jeremie will go over the
controls and tell you how to drive. In the racing levels, you will move
automatically. You must steer your character in order to avoid Firewalls and
gather Data Bits. You can press A to speed up and B to slow down, but such
things require Lyoko Power. It's a little hard to get used to at first, but
with practice, it becomes more natural. Note that hitting any obstacle in the
path will devirtualize you and you'll be forced to start from the last
checkpoint you went through. Also note that each time you're devirtualized,
only five Life Points are deducted.

You begin your first racing level with Aelita on the Overwing. Move along the
path getting as many Data Bits as possible. I've found it useful to hold the
B button to go slowly in order to gather all the Data Bits. Don't worry about
using too much Lyoko Power in this level, as Yellow Data Bits are plentiful.
There are a few monsters shooting at you along the way, but they don't pose
much of a threat. You really just fly right by them.

Eventually you come to a spot where you have to use Aelita's ability, so be
sure to have your stylus ready. This level is very short, so you'll see the
end approaching very soon.

Level Nineteen
..............................................................................

You'll begin this level playing as Aelita, in her bedroom. Talk to Yumi, then
leave the room and go down the hall, exiting into the stair well. Go outside
and then head for the Science building.

As soon as you enter the Science building, go directly right to see Yumi. Go
talk to her then enter the room behind her. Grab the clearly visible camera
and go back out into the hall.

After a quick scene, you'll be in the park. Go north to the next screen. Watch
the scene and you'll be playing as Odd. Go left to the next screen, then north
off the screen. Go right a little to get Aelita's notebook. From here, just
follow Kiwi until you get to Aelita, then talk to her. Now follow her through
the nearby door to enter the Sewers.

Follow the path to the Factory (you should be familiar with it by now, since
you followed Jeremie through here before). As soon as you enter the Factory,
the level will be over.

Level Twenty
..............................................................................

Choose Odd and run forward to reach a checkpoint. Here, you can go left or
right. Go right and be very careful as you move along, as it's very easy to
fall off the edge here. You'll find a Data Well at the end of this path. (you
have to use Odd's ability to reach it). You can go left here and drop off the
edge to the left (to avoid navigating the narrow path you crossed to get here).
But be warned that as soon as you land here, you'll fight monsters. Just Blocks,
so not very hard.

Take care of the monsters and move north until you spot the icon to use Odd's
ability again. Climb up and you'll immediately have to fight more Blocks. Defeat
them and continue forward until you spot a checkpoint. Switch to Aelita and use
her ability to float across to the next area.

Here you can go left to get an unguarded Data Well, then continue north to reach
a checkpoint. Switch to Odd and go north. You'll have to fight two Megatanks
here so be prepared. Once you defeat them, continue north and you'll fight a
single Block. Defeat it and go through the checkpoint.

Continue forward here to face your first Tarantulas. You'll have to take out
three to continue. They're similar to the Crabs in how you deal with them, so
don't worry. They're not very hard. Just block until they fire, then use combos
(the 3-Ways Shots is a good one). After you beat them, go back to the checkpoint
and switch to Aelita, then go to the tower. To solve the puzzle, use the first,
second, and fourth piece on the left side, and the second piece on the right.

Level Twenty-One
..............................................................................

You'll begin this level as Jeremie. Exit his room and head to the
Administration building (on your way out, you'll see Yumi, so talk to her to
meet William, who fans of the show know will become a very important character
later in the series).

Once inside the Admin building, go to where you entered Miss Weber's office
earlier and continue down this hall, exiting south off the screen. After a
small scene, you'll be back in the hall. Go into her office and get the
Notepad from her desk. Now you have to go back to the Boys' Dormitory to get
Jim (on the way you'll run into Yumi and William again, so talk to them if you
want). Go into Jim's room (just up the hall from Jeremie's, strangely) and
after a short scene, you'll be in the hall again.

Head back to the Administration building and to the room where Miss Weber told
you to leave. In the room, go to the right side of the screen to find a drawer
sticking out. Check it to get Franz Hopper's File.

Now you'll be outside the Hermitage, so go inside. Go up the steps to the porch
and go into the house. Go through the first door on the right and grab the book
on the floor. Now you're in Jeremie's room again. Check his computer to end the
level.

Level Twenty-Two
..............................................................................

Pick a character and move forward to defeat some monsters. Continue on the
path to reach a checkpoint, then switch to Yumi and use her ability to lift the
tree out of your way and continue. Ride the moving platform up to the next area
and fight more monsters.

Continue along the path (ignore the moving platform on the right for now) and
you'll reach a checkpoint as well as an icon to use Odd's ability. Switch to
Odd and climb up to reach a Data Well. Grab the Data Bits and come back down,
then go back to the moving platform and ride it.

There are a lot of different moving platforms here going in different
directions, leading to different little small "islands". Your ultimate goal
is the edge of the sector. Look on your map, you should see several small
spots of land and one larger one with a northern peak. That northern peak is
the edge of the sector. If you want to round up a lot of Data Bits, be sure to
ride the moving platforms to all the little islands before going there. Once
you reach the edge of the northern tip, the level will end. Note that you'll
have to fight a few sets of monsters (often on tiny areas of land) as you go
through this area, but nothing too challenging (no Megatanks).

Level Twenty-Three
..............................................................................

This is your first level in Sector Five. You'll find that Sector Five is a
strange place, but easy enough to get used to. Choose a character and run
forward. Now you'll have to move across a ton of moving platforms. They're a
little tricky, but not if you have patience and pay attention to their
movements. To begin with, keep heading left. When you get a choice between
going left or going north, just go left. Your objective is to reach the Key on
the left wall. When you reach it, activate it by attacking it.

From this point, you should be able to see a checkpoint ahead. Ride the
platforms to reach it, then head north along the narrow pathways and follow
this path until you reach a corridor (going south here leads to a dead end
where you'll have to redo a lot of work if you drop off the edge).

Head north through the corridor and go through the checkpoint ahead. Drop off
into the middle area here to fight your first creepers. They're pretty tough,
as they fire rapidly and can attack you even while you're blocking. Keep your
distance and hit them with combos.

Once the creepers have been dealt with, go to the bottom left corner of the
platform to see more moving platforms (this is the only way off the platform).
Follow this path until you reach a checkpoint. Now switch to Ulrich if you
don't have him already. You have to use his ability here to run across this
ledge without being pushed off. I didn't see the icon for his ability, but you
have to use it. Once across, hit the next key and move south and follow the
path to the next corridor.

Go through the corridor to find another checkpoint. Follow this winding path
carefully to reach a White Firewall. Go to the nearby Data Terminal and tap
the icon on the touch screen to bring up the puzzle. To solve it, use the
top three pieces on the left side and the second piece on the right side.

With the White Firewall gone, continue along this path until you reach
another wide open platform. Here you'll have to fight some more creepers.
Take care of them and move on. Going south off the platform leads to a dead
end, so go left to find a checkpoint. Go south past the checkpoint here but be
VERY CAREFUL on these next moving platforms. Before you even set foot on one,
watch them for a few seconds to study their movement. See what I mean? Now, as
soon as they turn flat, run to the bottom left platform. It'll take you up to
the next set. As soon as you reach these, run to the bottom right platform to
ride it to the next set. Here, run to the top left platform to reach the next
area.

North of here you'll see a checkpoint. I suggest going through it immediately.
Now you can go back and go right a little and follow a path around in a
square shape to get some Data Bits, but ultimately switch to Aelita and go
north beyond the checkpoint. When you reach the edge, you can use Aelita's
ability to float (annoying how you don't get the handy ability icons in
Sector Five, huh?). Keep floating through here until you spot the next Key.
Push it with Aelita's charge attack and continue east to spot a checkpoint.

I recommend switching to another character (though it's not exactly necessary
right now as another checkpoint is coming up soon). Move down the moving steps
by going to the very bottom one and running to the end of it to reach the next
area. Follow the path here until you reach another corridor. Go north through
it to find another checkpoint.

Beyond the checkpoint you'll find your first laser. This one is extremely
easy to get by, so just watch it for a second to study its movement then run
around the area it hits to the next section. Follow this path to reach a
Data Terminal where you'll have to solve another puzzle. To solve it, use the
first three pieces on the left side and the second piece on the right side.

Level Twenty-Four
..............................................................................

You begin this level as Aelita, outside the Hermitage. Go inside like before
and then go farther down the hall than you did last time. Go up the stairs and
into the room on the left to trigger another scene. Now walk over to what looks
like a fireplace and get the doll. Give the doll to Jeremie and then grab the
clearly visible key on the floor.

Now you'll be playing as Jeremie, at the train station. Go right here off to
the next screen, then right again to the next screen. Go to the left side and
face the lockers until you see the icon to use the key. Use it to get Franz
Hopper's CD.

Now you'll be back at school, so head up to Jeremie's room and use the CD on
his computer. Watch the scene and now you'll be playing as Yumi, outside the
factory. Go inside and ride the lift to the Laboratory. Check the Super
Computer then go to the Scanner room.

Level Twenty-Five
..............................................................................

This is another racing level. It's similar to before and very easy. You have to
use Yumi's ability a couple of times, so be sure to keep the Stylus handy. You
can hold the B button to go slow if you want, as you won't run out of Lyoko
Power here. This is a great chance to get a lot of Data Bits, so take your time
and grab them all.

Note that the path splits at two different points, and it makes little
difference which way you go. I noticed that at the first fork, the left path
had more Data Bits, but otherwise it doesn't really matter which path you take.

Level Twenty-Six
..............................................................................

You begin this level in Sector Five. With just Yumi. Sound fun? Let's get
started. Run forward and be prepared to ride a LOT of moving platforms. It's
very easy to fall off in this level. At the very beginning, you'll spot two
lasers. You can run by them easily, but if you're worried about them, you can
ride the moving platforms on the right to where you need to go. Either way,
once you get past this area, you'll have to get past more lasers as you move
left. Get to the end and ride the moving platform on the southern edge (the one
on the left here doesn't go anywhere).

Ride the various platforms here, working your way to the right. You should see
a checkpoint and be able to drop off onto the platform it's on. Do so to
activate the checkpoint. Now get back on the platforms and ride them over to
the left to find the first Key. Note that you can ride the platforms as far up
as possible and get a few more Data Bits, but no Data Wells so it's not really
worth your time.

Once you hit the Key, go left and work your way down the platforms to enter the
corridor leading north. Go through here and hit the checkpoint. From here you
can go left or right. Go left first and ride the various platforms to reach the
top. When you come to a rather wide open platform, you'll fight some weak
monsters (not creepers, I'm not sure what they are, but they're not tough).
Continue to ride the platforms up until you reach the Key. Hit it, then ride the
moving platform on the right side, which will take you back to where the first
checkpoint you found in this area (basically, back to where the path split into
two).

This time go right, where you'll have to use Yumi's ability to lift something
out of your way. Continue past it and follow this path, riding a few more moving
platforms up until you reach a path leading to a checkpoint. Beyond the
checkpoint, you'll find another wide open platform where you'll have to fight
a few creepers as well as a couple of those weak monsters from before. It's
easy to get knocked off the edge here, or fall into the open square hole in the
middle, so be careful. After defeating them, follow the linear path to the next
corridor heading north.

Upon going through this corridor, follow the the path until you reach another
open platform. This one has four square holes, so be extra careful not to fall
in. After this point, continue left to find a checkpoint. Now follow the path
to the next area, which will be your first Boss encounter. The Scyphozoa has
Aelita and you must free her from it. As you go through the checkpoint, you may
notice little red circles in the bottom left area of your screen. These
represent Aelita's life. You must defeat the Scyphozoa and free her before her
life runs out. Note that the Scyphozoa will be joined by and endless string of
creepers. Whenever you destroy two, two more will appear. You can destroy them
as long as you want, getting Data Bits, but make sure you destroy the Scyphozoa
before Aelita loses all her life. I defeated it with one Twirl Fans combo
(X A X), so it's not very hard. Once you defeat it, the creepers you didn't
kill will still be there, so kill them (they won't regenerate anymore though).

Beyond this area is a White Firewall, so go to the Data Terminal to solve the
puzzle. Use the first three pieces on the left and the second piece on the
right. With the White Firewall gone, continue through the corridor and to the
last Data Terminal to solve another puzzle. Use the first three pieces on the
left side and the second piece on the right side.

Level Twenty-Seven
..............................................................................

Pick a character and run forward. You'll have to fight a lot of Blocks here, so
defeat them and continue to the right. As you head right here, you'll trigger
a scene. Now you have to select a character again. Run south from here to fight
a few Tarantulas. After defeating them, head to the right (you'll have to use
Ulrich's ability, so if you don't have him, switch to him at the checkpoint).

Run over the bridges and be prepared to face a Block as soon as you reach the
other side. Continue here through a checkpoint and when you reach a clearing,
you'll find that the Scyphozoa has captured Yumi this time, and is draining her
life the way it did Aelita. This battle is very similar to the one you just
faced in Sector Five. Tarantulas will be joining it this time instead of
creepers, so watch out. Take out the Scyphozoa as soon as possible to free
Yumi. I recommend using Odd here, as his long-range combos will be a great
asset. Also note that there are Green Data Bits scattered around this area, so
grab them when you need them (they're along the edges of the platform). Take
out any remaining Tarantulas and continue forward.

You'll see a checkpoint here. Go through it and then ride the moving platforms
until you reach a Data Well. Get the Data Bits then continue riding the
platforms until you reach the next area. Follow this path until you face some
monsters. After defeating them, you can go straight to the tower (there's a
checkpoint nearby to switch to Aelita), or you can take the left path, which
is short and gives you a few Blue Data Bits. At the end, there appears to be an
area where you can ride a moving platform. However, I waited there for a long
time and a plantform never arrived.

I recommend gathering up the Blue Data Bits around the tower before switching to
Aelita, as the game has a habit of automatically going to a cut scene whenever
Aelita gets near the tower. Regardless, switch to her and enter the tower to
solve the puzzle. Use the first three pieces on the left side and the second
piece on the right side.

Level Twenty-Eight
..............................................................................

You start out as Ulrich in the Scanner room. Ride the lift up to the Laboratory
and talk to Jeremie. Now you'll be in Ulrich and Odd's room. Go out into the
hall and head up to the Girl's Dormitory and to Sissi's room. Talk to her.

Now you'll be outside Yumi's house. Go inside, go upstairs, and into Yumi's
bedroom (it's the last door on the left). In her room, pick up the black dress
from her bed. You can also pick up her stuffed animal. Now leave her house and
return to the school (you should know your way there by now). Go back to
Sissi's room and give her Yumi's dress. After a couple of scenes, the level
will be over.

Level Twenty-Nine
..............................................................................

Choose Ulrich. You can run around this platform and gather a few Data Bits if
you want before going to the right and using Ulrich's ability to cross two
bridges. Follow this path to a checkpoint, then to a clearing where you'll face
some monsters. Defeat them and continue north. This area should seem familiar
to you, as these are the moving platforms you rode earlier. There's another
Data Well, where you found one earlier, so grab it.

Continue along and you'll fight more monsters, exactly where you fought them
before. You can continue to the tower and grab a few Data Bits, then return to
the last checkpoint and switch to Aelita. Go down the left path (which
previous went to a dead end) and you'll see that the icon for Aelita's ability
is now visible. Float across to the next area.

As soon as you reach this area, run to the checkpoint and switch to Ulrich, as
there are enemies wandering around here and you don't want to face them with
Aelita. Plus, you need to use Ulrich's ability.

Take the left path here and cross the bridge with Ulrich to find a Data Well.
Grab it and run back. Go north past the checkpoint here to find two Blue
Firewalls. Go left at this point to find the first Uplink pad. Keep an eye
out for wandering monsters. This Uplink pad actually disables the second Blue
Firewall, but it's the easiest one to reach so I thought we'd get it out of the
way first. Now go back to the Firewall and go to the right. You'll go through a
checkpoint and then you'll have to ride some moving logs. They can be somewhat
tricky, so be careful and watch their movement. They'll lead you to the second
Uplink pad. Note that if you fall off the logs after stepping on the Uplink pad,
the Blue Firewall will still be disabled, so don't worry about having to repeat
any work.

With the second Blue Firewall gone, you can continue north to go through a
checkpoint. Go around both sides of the platform here to grab the Data Bits
before approaching the northern edge. When you reach it, the level will end.

Level Thirty
..............................................................................

This level begins with a maze. It's not too difficult to navigate, mainly
because you know where you haven't been by the Data Bits (if there are Data
Bits, it means you haven't been there yet). Run around, heading in a general
north direction, until you find a checkpoint. Switch to Yumi here and go north,
using her ability to lift the obstruction. Beyond it is the first Key, so press
it and go back to the checkpoint. I suggest switching to Ulrich here (or Odd I
suppose). I didn't test this theory, but since Yumi can't be devirtualized now,
you probably won't be able to reload her. For this reason, it's wise not to use
her in battle unless you absolutely have to.

Anyway, go right until you reach an open area and you'll have to fight some
creepers. After they're defeated, head north through the corridor.

Through the corridor you'll find a checkpoint. Beyond the checkpoint, drop off
the edge to fall on some moving steps. Carefully navigate them to the bottom,
where you can jump off onto a large platform to the right. There's a checkpoint
here, as well as a White Firewall and a Data Terminal. You know what to do. To
solve the puzzle, use the first three pieces on the left and the second piece on
the right (this game likes to follow patterns in the puzzles, huh?).

With the White Firewall gone, you can continue left here to an open area where
you'll fight some creepers. Once they're defeated, go north to press the Key.
Now return to the checkpoint and go right. Follow this path while avoiding the
lasers and you'll end up at a checkpoint. Switch to Odd if you don't already
have him, and use his ability to climb the wall here.

At the top of the wall, you'll find another corridor. Go through it to reach a
checkpoint. Beyond the checkpoint is another open area where you'll face
creepers so use whatever character you find best for dealing with them. After
you defeat them, run straight through the next corridor (north) to find another
checkpoint.

If you're not using Ulrich, switch to him and use his ability to cross the
bridge. Note that this bridge is very tricky, as it leads into two other
bridges that must be crossed with Ulrich's ability. There is one small platform
where the bridges intersect, so be sure to stop there and watch the movements of
the other bridges. You can take the bridge heading north to reach the next area,
or you can take the one heading right, which will require you to take another
bridge heading north to reach the next area (in other words, taking the right
bridge would be the long way around). You can backtrack and take the bridges you
missed if you want, to get more Data Bits. It's up to you. Either way, on the
next platform, you'll have to cross an extremely long bridge with Ulrich's
ability. To cross it without falling off, you're going to have to time it
perfectly. Wait until you see the bridge begin turning from the other end, then
the very instant it goes flat, tap the ability icon and quickly run to the other
end. Do not attempt to exit to the left. The very last block on this bridge will
not turn, so your goal is to land on it, then move onto the left platform. Make
sure you have plenty of Lyoko Power too (it'd be bad to get almost there and run
out of Lyoko Power).

Once you reach the other side, follow this path through a checkpoint, then to
another open area where you'll face your first Mantas. They're not very hard to
beat, so long as you stay away from the little bombs they drop and have
patience. Dodge and block until you see them flying low, then hit them with
combos. Once they're taken care of, continue north to the Data Terminal. Use the
first three pieces on the left and the second piece on the right to solve the
puzzle.

Level Thirty-One
..............................................................................

This is another racing level. You'll be playing as Odd here. It's one of the
simpler levels, so just do what you usually do with racing levels. One thing to
keep in mind is that using Odd's ability is a little different from Yumi's or
Aelita's. You must wait and tap his icon button right before you get to the
boulder you need to climb. In other words, you can't tap it as soon as it
becomes highlighed on the touch screen. You only have to use it once though.

Level Thirty-Two
..............................................................................

You being this level as Aelita, in her bedroom. Go down both sets of stairs and
talk to Sissi. Now go outside and talk to Yumi and William. Now go directly
left one screen to find Ulrich, Odd, and Jeremie. Talk to them. Now you'll be
at the Hermitage, so go inside and take the first door on the left. Examine the
fireplace here to trigger a scene. Now go upstairs and into the room where you
found the doll in the other fireplace. Go south on this screen and examine the
window on the right to trigger another scene.

Now go outside the Hermitage and left one screen, then go through the door that
leads to the sewers. From there, go to the factory and the level will be over
as you enter.

Level Thirty-Three
..............................................................................

You have to play as Aelita here, so go ahead and choose her. Run forward and
you'll reach a square shaped area. Grab the Data Bits and head left. You'll see
a checkpoint, so run through it. Now, you have to do two things to progress in
this area: hit a Key and step on an Uplink pad. Let's hit the Key first.

From the first checkpoint you see, go a little left and south to see some
shifting platforms. If you watch them, you'll see that the bottom left platform
rises, so step on it and ride it up. Step off the platform onto the solid floor
here. Now ride the top right platform up to the next area. Go north here to see
a checkpoint and the Key. Hit the key and go down the steps, gathering Data
Bits, to reach the bottom again.

Now let's find the Uplink pad. Go back to the first checkpoint you found and go
left a little then north. You'll find more shifting platforms. The two bottom
platforms on the left side go up, so ride them up to the next area. Here, ride
the top right platform up. Go left here to find a checkpoint and the Uplink
pad. Step on it and go down the steps here to reach the bottom again.

Now you can go north through the corridor, so do so. In the next area, go
forward and drop off the ledge to reach a checkpoint. Now you're going to have
to navigate by some moving walls and lasers. Watch their movement for a few
seconds before getting by them, heading left.

Once you make it past the lasers and walls, you'll find a checkpoint and the
next Key. Hit the Key and continue left. On the left side of this ledge, ride
the platform going up. In this area, go to the right end of this ledge and
ride the moving platform forward to reach an Uplink pad (don't bother with the
platforms on the left and right, as they don't go anywhere different). Step on
the Uplink pad and ride the middle platform back.

Now go to the left end of this ledge and ride the platforms to the second Uplink
pad. Step on it and ride them back, then go back down. Now head north from here
and ride the single platform straight to the corridor. Run through it to reach
a White Firewall, so go to the Data Terminal to solve the puzzle. Use the first
three pieces on the left and the second piece on the right.

Go forward from here to trigger a scene. Now you must choose another character.
Use whoever works best against the Scyphozoa. Now run forward to free Aelita. As
usual, the Scyphozoa will be joined by other monsters. You can ignore them and
go straight for the Scyphozoa if you want. After defeating it, take out the
remaining creepers and continue forward. Go around the right side here to go
through a much-needed checkpoint. Now continue north to fight a few more
creepers, then go straight forward through the corridor.

Go through the checkpoint here to reach an open area where you'll face more
Mantas. Use whatever tactic you used last time to defeat them and reach the
Data Terminal and solve the puzzle. Use the first two pieces on the right and
the first and third piece on the left.

Level Thirty-Four
..............................................................................

You start this level as Yumi in her bedroom. You have to walk all the way to
the factory, so head there and ride the lift to the Laboratory. Watch the scene
here and the level ends. Another short one.

Level Thirty-Five
..............................................................................

Choose Ulrich, run through the checkpoint, and use his ability to cross two
bridges. You'll have to fight some monsters here, so take care of them and run
to the checkpoint. Now ride the moving platforms to the next area. When you
arrive here, you'll have to fight more monsters. Now ride the platform on the
left of this area to reach another area with a Data Well. Return to where you
just fought the monsters and go north-east to run through a checkpoint. Here
you need to ride the platforms to the next area.

You'll fight more monsters here, then run north to reach a checkpoint and a
Data Well guarded by a Block. Now ride the platforms to another area. You'll
have to fight monsters here too. Now from here, you can continue north or you
can go to the right edge and ride platforms to another area.

Ride the platforms to reach an area where you'll fight even more monsters. Now
go right from here, under a cliff, to reach a checkpoint. Switch to Yumi and
use her ability to lift the boulder in your way. Now run around and up the
hill, gather Data Bits, and ride the moving platform at the end. This will
take you to another area that has a Data Well (and a Block). Now ride the
platforms back and return to the hill (the one you had to move the boulder to
reach). You can just drop off the side here if you want.

Going back to where you first reached this area, you'll notice two different
platforms you can get on. The lower one just takes you to a place you already
were, so ignore it and ride the one you can in on.

Now you can head north through the checkpoint. Beyond it, you'll face more
monsters, so defeat them and go straight north to reach the edge of the
Sector.

Level Thirty-Six
..............................................................................

You'll be playing as Jeremie in his room. Grab his laptop and head for the
factory. Once there, talk to Aelita, then ride the lift to the Scanner room.
Examine the scanner on the left and use Jeremie's laptop in your inventory.
Now you'll have to solve another puzzle. Use the first two pieces on the right
and the first and third on the left. Now talk to Aelita again to end the level.

Level Thirty-Seven
..............................................................................

Choose a character and run forward to reach a checkpoint. Go right here to
navigate past some lasers. There will be walls helpfully blocking them as you
pass, but you have to wait until they lower and block the laser before you
walk by them. Once past them all, you'll find the first Key. Push it and go
back to the checkpoint.

Go left here to reach an open area where you'll fight some creepers. Defeat
them and go toward the northern right area (that the Red Firewall was blocking)
to follow this path to the corridor. Head north through it to find another
checkpoint. Now, from here, you need to go right and follow this path, but there
are walls coming out that will knock you off the edge if you don't time your
movements just right. Watch for them to stick out, then just as they begin to
draw back, run by the first two and stop. Now use the same method to get by the
next one. The next two are a bit more tricky, as they have two different
movements. In the first movement, the first wall will move then the second one,
but in the second movement, they move more closely together. Of course you need
to go by them when they do the second type of movement.

Follow this path along, dodging the walls. Be aware that the last two are
especially tricky. Notice how they move. After they complete a movement, the
first wall will immediately stick back out suddenly. So, the trick is to run by
them immediately after the first one sticks out a second time. The second wall
will come close to knocking you off, but if you're quick enough, you'll get by
it. Now go left and hit the Key. Drop off the southern edge and walk around
carefully (go SLOWLY) until you can go north, to a White Firewall. Use the
nearby Data Terminal to solve the puzzle. This is a somewhat more difficult
puzzle, so I'll tell you where to put the pieces. Start by putting the cross
shaped piece in the exact center of the puzzle. Now, look at the two five-block
pieces that match. Fit one into the top right area against the cross piece and
the other against the bottom left area against the cross piece. Now look at the
two three block-block pieces that match. You should now be able to fit them
into the remaining corners to complete the puzzle.

Now you can run through the corridor here. You'll reach a long ledge and a
checkpoint on the left. Go through the checkpoint then continue north. There's
a checkpoint here but no reason to go through it yet. You need to find the
Key to proceed. Go to the left path off the long ledge (next one up from the
checkpoint you went through) to reach an open area where you'll face some
monsters. Defeat them and go north to hit the Key. Now go back to the long
ledge and go north through the checkpoint and through the corridor to the
next checkpoint.

Switch to Odd if you aren't using him and use his ability to climb the wall
here. Run to the checkpoint and switch to Aelita. You're going to float
by all the lasers here to reach the next area. It's not very hard, just go
in a zig-zag pattern behind each lazer. You pick up Yellow Data Bits along
the way, so don't worry too much about your Lyoko Power. You'll see the
Key up ahead, so land on the platform and hit the Key. Now continue floating
north, behind the lazers like before, to reach the next area.

When you land, run over to the checkpoint and switch to Yumi. Use her ability
to lift the obstruction on the right (the left one doesn't move) and continue
along this path to reach an open area where you'll fight more monsters. After
dealing with them, run north to see another checkpoint and a Data Terminal.
Use all the pieces on the left and the first piece on the right.

Level Thirty-Eight
..............................................................................

This is hardly a level, as you just watch a scene and it ends.

Level Thirty-Nine
..............................................................................

This is another racing level, this time with Ulrich. The path splits twice,
but it doesn't make any difference which path you take at either time. You also
have to use Ulrich's ability twice, but it's easy enough.

Level Forty
..............................................................................

This level is comprised of one battle. You must face off against an evil
version of Ulrich, with only Ulrich. Make sure you have a Life Point pack and
the Flip Sabre combo before starting the level, then select Ulrich and run
forward. As soon as you reach the open area, the battle begins.

This can be a very tough battle if you don't know what you're doing, but there
is a way to easily beat him. First of all, don't even bother trying to block.
His attacks all went through the block when I tried it. Second of all, NEVER
try to attack him until he raises the sword in the air and laughs. When he does
this, he's charging up an attack and it's the only time you can get a decent
hit in without being destroyed. You only have a small window of time to attack
him during this time. So here's how I easily defeated him: Run in circles
around him, just out of reach of his attacks. When you hear him laughing, run
over and do the Flip Sabre combo (A X A), then immediately run away again and
return to making circles around him. If you follow this pattern carefully, he
won't hit you even once. Just don't get cocky and think you can get in a few
more hits after the combo.

Level Forty-One
..............................................................................

You start out this level by solving a puzzle. Use all the pieces on the left
and the first piece on the right. Now you just watch a scene and the level ends.

Level Forty-Two
..............................................................................

This level begins in Sector five. Choose a character and go north through a
checkpoint. You'll have to fight some creepers as well as a Manta here. Go
north here and then left to hit the Key. Continue left to the checkpoint and
switch to Ulrich if you don't have him already. Use his ability to run across
this ledge to the left and you'll hit another checkpoint. Continue left and
you'll fight some creepers. Defeat them and follow the path left to the
corridor and head north through it to reach another checkpoint.

Switch to Aelita here and move on. When you reach the edge here, use her
ability to float to the right. Navigate past the lasers until you reach another
ledge you can land on. Land and run north to hit the Key, then hit the
checkpoint on the left. Switch to someone else. and ride the moving platforms
down.

In this open area you'll fight more monsters (two Mantas, so watch out!), then
go left and north through the corridor. Go through the checkpoint here and
you'll face a fairly tough battle. Several Mantas along with a creeper. I took
care of them easily by using Ulrich's Dragon Flip Sabre combo (A A X A). When
you're done with them, go right and navigate past some lasers. If you have
plenty of Life Points, just run right through them and don't worry too much
about being hit. As soon as you see a path going north, go up and hit the Key.

Now go back and continue right to find a checkpoint. Keep going right here to
fight some more monsters, then head north here to reach a White Firewall. Go
to the Data Terminal and solve the puzzle. Use all pieces on the left and the
first piece on the right. Continue north through the corridor and to another
checkpoint. Nagivate through the maze avoiding the lasers, heading left to an
open area where a creeper waits (no Red Firewall though. Follow the path to a
checkpoint and a Key. Note that when you go back onto the open area, another
creeper will be there.

Left of the key, you'll see a large moving platform. Step onto it and you'll
have to navigate a moving maze full of lasers. It looks intimidating, but it's
really not that bad. The biggest danger here is falling off the edge, as the
lasers do minimal damage. Keep heading left around the lasers and walls until
you reach another open platform. A couple of those weak little monsters are
lurking here, so take care of them and continue north through the corridor.

Head north here to reach yet another open area. You'll fight more monsters
here then continue to a checkpoint. Jeremie will tell you to take control of
Aelita here, so switch to her and begin floating forward. As soon as you land
on the singular middle platform, you trigger a scene and the level ends.

Level Forty-Three
..............................................................................

You basically just watch a scene to complete this level.

Level Forty-Four
..............................................................................

You'll be playing as Odd outside the school gates. Make your way to the area
outside the science building to see Yumi and Ulrich. Talk to them. After the
dialogue, head for Odd's room and grab Ms. Weber's notepad from the back of
the room. Now go to Ms. Weber's office (in the Administration building) and
give her the notepad. Now you can go through the door on the left to talk to
the principal.

Now head back to the Boy's Dormitory and go to Jim's bedroom. Go to the left
side of the room and grab the picture. Now head go outside and talk to Yumi and
Ulrich. After speaking to them, head for the gym. Near the climb walls, you'll
find Jim, so talk to him.

Now head back toward Odd's room, and you'll get a call from Jeremie. Now head
for the factory (just take the shortcut through the Boiler Room, since you're
near there anyway). Ride the lift to the Scanner room and the level will end.

Level Forty-Five
..............................................................................

Pick Yumi and run forward. Use her ability to lift the obstruction on the right
and proceed. Jeremie will tell you to be careful. Continue along this path to
find an open area. There's a pretty big monster here (its called the Scorpion
apparently). For right now, you don't have to defeat it. You just have to take
off some if its Life and it'll flee. Don't worry too much about it, as its
attacks aren't too bad. Just run around it like you did with Evil Ulrich
(blocking wasn't too effective for me) and hit it with combos when you get a
chance. After it flees, run forward through the next checkpoint and begin
jumping down the platforms until you reach the bottom.

Surprisingly, there are no monsters to fight here. Run to the checkpoint and
switch to Odd. Go right here, up the sloping path, and use Odd's ability to
climb the wall. Follow this path and climb a few more walls. When you reach
a circular shaped area, you'll face the Scorpion again. Like before, you
only have to knock off some if its Life and it will flee again. Now run north
here to the checkpoint and switch to Ulrich.

Use Ulrich's ability to run across the bridge to the left. You'll have to run
across several bridges here. The only ones that will give you any trouble are
the first bridge heading right and the very last bridge, heading north. They're
fairly long and are easy to get knocked off of. The best tactic I know is to
wait until they start moving from the opposite end and are all turned vertical,
then go ahead and tap the ability icon and run against them. That way, the very
instant the bridge turns, you'll already be running across it.

Once you get past the last long bridge going north, you'll have to fight the
Scorpion again. I found him harder this time than before, but he's still not a
huge challenge. Just use whatever tactics have been working so far. Once you
defeat him, run through the checkpoint and switch to Aelita.

Now use her ability to float across the chasm and continue north to watch the
ending scene.

Hacking Puzzles
..............................................................................

Once you beat the game, you unlock a new mode called Hacking. When you load up
your game from your save, you'll see two new choices: Hacking and Internet
Codes. You must complete the Hacking puzzles to unlock the Internet Codes.

The puzzles are all fairly easy, so you shouldn't have any trouble with them
and they're a nice way to kill some time. However, for those who just want to
quickly complete them and get the Internet Codes, here are the solutions. For
the later puzzles, where it becomes a little harder to solve them, I've given
more detailed solutions. If you're having trouble with a particular puzzle,
feel free to contact me and I'll try to describe the solution a little better.

Puzzle # 24:

This is the same puzzle from Level Thirty-Seven. So I'll just copy/paste the
solution here: Start by putting the cross shaped piece in the exact center of
the puzzle. Now, look at the two five-block pieces that match. Fit one into
the top right area against the cross piece and the other against the bottom
left area against the cross piece. Now look at the two three block-block pieces
that match. You should now be able to fit them into the remaining corners to
complete the puzzle.

Puzzle # 25:

Use all the pieces on the left and the first piece on the right.

Puzzle # 26:

Use all the pieces on the left and the first piece on the right.

Puzzle # 27:

Use all the pieces on the left and the first piece on the right.

Puzzle # 28:

Use all the pieces on the left and the first piece on the right.

Puzzle # 29:

This is another one that can be tricky. Put the T-shaped pieces on the left,
with the flat sides of them against each other. Now put the top piece on the
right in the top right corner of the puzzle. Put the last piece on the left
directly beneath the piece in the top right corner. Now put in the last piece
on the left to complete the puzzle.

Puzzle # 30:

Use all the pieces on the left and the top piece on the right.

Puzzle # 31:

Here's another tricky one. Put the third piece on the left in the top right
corner of the puzzle. Put the top piece on the right directly beneath it. Now
put the second piece on the left in the bottom left corner of the puzzle. Put
the top piece on the left directly above it. Now put in the fourth piece on
the left to complete the puzzle.

Puzzle # 32:

Place the first piece on the left in the top-most spot in the puzzle. Now put
the third piece on the left in the right-most spot in the puzzle (it fits
against the first piece you put in). Now put the second piece on the right in
the single square to the left of the piece you just put in. Put the first
piece on the right in the bottom-right spot in the puzzle. Now put the third
piece on the right directly above the piece you just put in. Now fit the second
piece on the left into the last spot in the puzzle.

Puzzle # 33:

Place the third piece on the left in the bottom-left area of the puzzle. Put
the fourth piece on the left in the bottom-right area of the puzzle. Now place
the first piece on the left against the right edge of the puzzle (the bottom
of it will be against the top of the piece you just put in). Now put the
second piece on the left in the very top of the puzzle. From here, just fit
the top piece on the right into the puzzle to complete it.

Puzzle # 34:
</pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
Place the first piece on the left against the left edge of the puzzle. Put the
first piece on the right against the top edge, against the first piece you put
in. Put the third piece on the left int the bottom right corner of the puzzle,
then put the fourth piece on the left against that one. Now put the second
piece on the left in the remaining space.

Puzzle # 35:

Place the first piece on the left in the very top of the puzzle, touching the
top and right edges. Place the bottom piece on the right in the top-left area
of the puzzle. Now place the third piece on the right against the piece you
just put in. Place the fourth piece on the right against the previous piece
and put the second piece on the right in the remaining space.

Puzzle # 36:

Fit the second piece on the left into the bottom right area of the puzzle. Now
place the first piece on the right directly beside the piece you just put in.
Now put the third piece on the left directly on top of the previous piece. Put
the fourth piece on the left against the top edge of the puzzle. Now fit the
first piece on the left against the previous piece. Lastly, place the fourth
piece on the right in the remaining space.

Puzzle # 37:

Start by placing the fourth piece on the left in the top left corner of the
puzzle. Now place the third piece on the right in the bottom left corner of
the puzzle. Place the fourth piece on the right in the top right corner of
the puzzle, then the third piece on the left in the bottom right corner of the
puzzle. Now fit the second piece on the right in against the top edge and the
first piece on the left in against the bottom edge.

Puzzle # 38:

Place the fourth piece on the left in the top right corner of the puzzle. Now
place the third piece on the left in the top left corner, against the previous
piece. Now place the second piece on the right in the bottom left corner and
the fourth piece on the right in the bottom right corner. Put the third piece
on the right against the bottom edge, touching the previous piece. Now fit the
first piece on the left into the remaining space.

Puzzle # 39:

Place the first piece on the left in the top left corner. Put the second piece
on the right directly beside it. Put the third piece on the right directly
beneath the previous piece and the fourth piece on the right directly beneath
it. Put the fourth piece on the left in the bottom left corner then put the
third piece on the left in the remaining space.

Puzzle # 40:

Place the first piece on the left in the top left corner. Place the fourth
piece on the right against the top edge. Put the second piece on the right in
the single block directly beneath the previous piece. Put the third piece on
the right directly beneath the previous piece. Put the third piece on the left
in the bottom right corner. Now fit the fourth piece on the left into the
remaining space.

Puzzle # 41:

Place the third piece on the left in the top left corner. Place the first
piece on the left in the top right corner. Place the fourth piece on the right
in the bottom right corner. Now put the fourth piece on the left in the bottom
left corner. Fit the third piece on the right into the open space and the
second piece on the right in the last square.

Puzzle # 42:

Put the fourth piece on the right in the bottom left corner. Now put the first
piece on the left in the bottom right corner. Put the fourth piece on the left
in the top right corner. Place the second piece on the right directly beside
the previous piece. Put the third piece on the right in the top left corner,
then put the third piece on the left in the remaining space.

Puzzle # 43:

Put the fourth piece on the left in the top left corner. Put the second piece
on the right in the top right corner. Put the top piece on the left against
the bottom edge. Put the fourth piece on the right against the left edge. Now
fit the second piece on the left against the previous piece. Put the third
piece on the left in the remaining space.

Internet Codes
..............................................................................

If you're really lazy and don't care about completing the Hacking games, here
are the Internet Codes, in the order that you unlock them. You can use them at
http://www.codelyoko.com Just click on "Secret Album" then "Access my secret
files" to begin entering the codes. You get access to some early sketches of
the sectors and what appears to be early 3D modeling of the characters.

09.) Frequently Asked Questions
===============================================================================

-How do I use combos? I put in the correct button sequence but nothing happens!

A lot of people had trouble with this at first. The problem is that, by nature,
we want to put in the button sequence quickly. You can't do this in Code Lyoko.
You have to push the buttons more slowly, putting a second or two between each
press. Practice the combos a few times before going into battle to be sure you
have the timing right.

-Which combos are the best then?

Yumi's Twirl Fans combo is, in my opinion, the best in the game. It kills most
monsters in one hit. For Ulrich, I was fond of his Flip Sabre combo. The
Dragon Flip Sabre is supposed to be more powerful, but for me it was just slow
and ineffective. It's pretty good against creepers though. For Odd, I liked the
3-Ways Shots, as it hits several monsters at a time.

-Which characters are best with dealing with which monsters?

That pretty much depends on your playing style. But for me personally, I felt
that Yumi was best with dealing with Creepers (her Twirl Fans combo can take
them out in one hit) and Crabs, Ulrich was best for dealing with Blocks, and
Mantas, and Odd was best for dealing with Tarantulas and Hornets. As for the
rest of the monsters, everyone did pretty much the same for me.

-Does Aelita ever get combos or attacks?

Nope. Just the charge attack.

-What happens if the Scyphozoa drains all of Aelita's or Yumi's life?

Well, at two different points, I screwed up and the Scyphozoa drained all
the life of one of the characters. And nothing happened. I don't know if
these were special cases or if I hit a glitch, or if this is just the way
the game is.

-The voices don't sound like the ones from the series. Why not?

This is just speculation on my part, because I haven't looked into it, but
I believe they're using the French voices for this game. At least they
sound a lot like the French voices to me.

-Why do you spell Jeremie's name with an 'ie' instead of a 'y'?

Because that's the way it's supposed to be spelled. Trust me.

-How closely related to the series is this game?

This game follows the events of seasons one and two of the series. It lifts
most of its stories from specific episodes but shortens and tones them down
a little to fit them into the game, or adds a few things to give you more to
do. But over all, if you want to experience the whole story, watch the series.
It does cover the first episode of season three, however.

-What's up with the series? Is it anime or what?

It's not anime, if you consider that anime is a term used by everyone outside
of Japan to refer to Japanese-produced animation. Code Lyoko is actually a
French production. However, it borrows plenty of stylistic elements from
anime, such as certain expressions and motions. A lot of people seem to think
it is anime, probably because the over all style has a foreign feel to it.

-So is the series worth watching?

Yes! Go watch it right now! It's amazing. And no, it's not a rip-off of "The
Matrix". Despite popular belief, the idea of people going into a virtual world
to fight has been around since way before "The Matrix" came along. Code Lyoko
has a lot more in common with "Tron" and even the computer-animated elements of
"The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest" than it does with "The Matrix". It also
seems to have lifted elements from "Reboot", the ".hack//SIGN" series, and
maybe even a few from the popular "Harry Potter" (the boarding school setting,
the secrets and mysteries, the role of Sissi and her cronies compared to Draco
Malfoy and his). So check it out if you haven't already!
