It remains possible that some brown chests may have alternative drops. Let me
know if you know of any such differences. Also, the door bosses have alternate
drops I have not listed as I don't know them yet so information on that is
welcome. The Mech Castle has a bit of area which requires two people so it
would be good to know if any chests are past that door. Pretty sure I've at
least found everything the Giant Evil Poo drops though :)
Also: Looking for the location of Seeds of Dissension.

This guide is listed as 95% complete as it lacks a section on the Multiplay
only things. I really don't know anything about Multiplay yet but when I have
time to find out and some contributions give me some info I can add that last
section and make this 1.00, with new chest / boss drop information going past
that point.

Speaking of Multiplay I haven't even beaten Destroy myself. I tried soloing him
actually got him down to 25% left of his red health bar, but then he did about
3 lightning attacks in a row which was too much for my Return spam with +MP
regen and -recast time accessories to handle. Yes, I was pretty annoyed.

[1] Why make this? [#WHY]

After playing through the game once I saw how much stuff I didn't craft. I
also wanted some really nice items but had no idea where to go to get them.
Boards were of limited help and there wasn't much useful information online.
Given that the game was very limited in the info available on GameFAQs and
since I felt like opening all the chests again anyway I decided to make a FAQ
detailing what was inside all chests, although what is especially important of
course is what is inside the brown chests which can be obtained again and again.
So I started the game again and was very particular about my notes and here is
the result. Enjoy- and I hope it helps you gather materials.

[2] What things mean [#HUH]

The first piece of information to be mentioned will obviously be the map's name.
The individual area would logically follow, which is named the same way it is
within the game.

If there is more than one chest, the map is large, or the chest is hard to find
the first thing indicated will be the direction of the chest (North/South/East/
West) by the abbreviations [N]/[E] or combinations [NE] = northeast, etc.

The color of the chest and its contents is all that is left. Green and Red
chests are only obtainable once, with Red chests containing crucially important
items in order to progress through the game. Brown chests can be obtained
multiple times by re-entering a map, which is what this guide is meant for.
The colors are shortened down to one letter for simplicity's sake.
R = Red, G = Green, B = Brown.

When there are multiple items separated by slashes this means there are other
possible drops from that chest. I may not have all possible drops listed so if
I am missing something please feel free to let me know and enjoy the credit that
follows. At a few points "Dead End" is mentioned to help locate a chest. This
usually (except for Distortion Space) means that area is reached by taking a
side path in an adjacent map which ends in a short dead end on the other map.
I won't be completely explicit on how to reach these but it really is not too
difficult to figure out at all.

Lastly, some areas will be blocked off by colored barriers. These will be
noted too so that you can find them when you can open that kind of barrier, or
just to double check if you think you may have forgotten that barrier.
If it is just one chest it will only take one line but if the barrier
path has more complicated rewards it will say "(see underpass 12)" for example
and require you to scroll down a little.

The first section will list all chests. The second will remove Red and Green
chests, as well as those that contain rather trashy items (HP/MP Generators), or
not too useful items from inconvenient locations (IE: a ruby near the end of a
dungeon). Ordering of the areas listed are roughly in the order that you would
be expected to encounter these areas in.
I believe that is all the explanation necessary.
