Welcome to my walkthrough for "The Burning Earth"! I wrote this a few years ago
but didn’t get around to finishing it off and posting it. I haven’t gone back
to the game to double-check what I’ve written, so any errors or gaps in the
information will have to stay for now. It’s still better to have most of a
walkthrough instead of nothing.
One particularly big gap in my notes is the "Escape from the Library" minigame
which I remember being quite hard. Apologies if that is what you came here
looking for!
-----------------------------------
WHAT'S CHANGED FROM THE FIRST GAME?
-----------------------------------
This game roughly follows the plot of the second series (though with major
warping of the timeline), rather than having an original storyline. Toph
replaces Haru as the earthbending member of your party. Despite what the box
implies, you do not get to play as Zuko and Iroh, other than one unrepeatable
minigame.
You only have two characters in your party at any time. You cannot choose
your party (it's determined by the storyline) until right before the end of
the game, when you can revisit all areas of the game.
The battle system has been improved - you can now jump (this replaces the
Bending Defence ability), and Bending Attacks now run on a more typical MP
system instead of the single chi gauge of the first game. Computer-controlled
characters still don't seem to use bending attacks on their own.
There are now - thankfully! - resting areas in each level where you can
restore HP, and healing items are far easier to come by.
GAMEPLAY
The game is mostly played on the field screen, but encountering an enemy will
take you to the Battle Screen - a copy of the area where you previously were,
but there are multiple enemies and you cannot leave until you win or escape.
CONTROLS
The basic moves while fighting are:
Y = basic attack
X = special attack
A = guard
B = jump
In the field, you cannot (and do not need to) guard, and special attacks can
only be used on specific obstacles. (Using special attacks in the field still
costs chi, though you'll probably have recharged by the time you get into
battle.)
BATTLING
Individual defeated enemies can drop money or healing items - these have to be
picked up (by running over them). They will disappear after a short time, so
don't wait until the end of the battle to collect your prizes!
Computer-controlled characters will not pick up prizes for you.
STATS
Characters stats (HP, Power, Defence, Sp*) can be boosted by giving the
characters the corresponding "____ Source" item, or certain other items.
*I honestly am not sure what "Sp" is or what it does. Probably Speed - it
might affect how fast your Chi gauge refills - or it might be Special and
affect the strength of special attacks.
OBJECTS AND OBSTACLES
There are many items to be found by breaking objects such as crates. Also some
areas may be blocked by obstacles that a certain character needs to clear.
- CRATES and JARS can be smashed by any character's Y attack.
- LEAVES can be blown away by Aang (X or Y attack) or by Sokka (X attack).
- ROCKS (small ones concealing items or large ones blocking paths) can be moved
by Toph. (X attack)
- VINES can be cut by Sokka. (X attack)
- CACTI can also be cut by Sokka. (Sorry, there's no Cactus Juice.)
ITEMS
You have limited item space in your bag at the start of the game - later your
bag is upgraded and you can carry many more items.
SAVING
Open the menu, and either tap the bag icon in the top-left corner, or press the
L button once, to reach the Save menu. Move left or right to select the scroll
you wish to save to.
THE MAP
You can view the map on the lower screen by pressing Select.
Important locations, such as buildings that you can enter, are clearly marked.
The rest area is marked by a speech bubble with "ZZZ" marks.
Your next destination is marked with a red arrow.
------------------------
CHARACTERS AND ABILITIES
------------------------
Each character has four special attacks, using up varying amounts of chi.
If I remember correctly, the final attacks are unlocked by finding all the
cabbages and returning them to the Cabbage Merchant in Ba Sing Se.
----
AANG
----
Basic attack: Wind Gust
Special attacks:
1. Wind Gust Start Damages and knocks an enemy back.
Breaks through enemy guard.
2. Wind Sphere Level 11 Sends a blast of air out in all directions.
Knocks back all enemies around Aang.
Won't work if the enemy is defending.
3. Wind Blast Level 22 Leaps up and fires a powerful blast of air.
Aiming it is a bit difficult though.
4.
------
KATARA
------
Basic attack: Water Whip
Special attacks:
1. Ice Crystals Start Shoot three ice crystal 'daggers'.
Can go through multiple enemies.
2. Water splash by Lvl 12 Attack with a large amount of water.
Note that it doesn't travel directly in front of
her, but from her right side, so keep this in mind
while aiming!
3. (after l.19)
4.
-----
SOKKA
-----
Basic attack: Club
Special attacks:
1. Machete Start Damages and knocks enemy back
2. Boomerang Lvl 13-16 Hits enemies on the way out and on the way back.
-----------------------------
CHAPTER ONE: THE AVATAR STATE
-----------------------------
The game begins with leaving the North Pole, and arriving at General Fong's
fortress.
~Aang~
1. Fight the soldiers.
2. When you have control again, go to the rest area in the west.
3. Go to the Infirmary, on the opposite side of the fortress. Meet Li Sha
(really Song from the episode "The Cave of Two Lovers"). Anyway, she needs
Aang and Sokka to find some herbs for her.
~Aang and Sokka~
4. Before leaving the fortress:
~ go to the central tower and speak to General Fong to play the Portrait
Puzzle minigame. Use the Tea Set you receive straight away - it raises
your strength by 5.
~ Smash a jar in the corner of the southeast lower area to find a cabbage.
~ Visit the warehouses in the north section of the fortress. You can
pick up some supplies in the one on the right, and the guard at the left
warehouse will ask you to find the missing key for him. (Although you can
find the key without speaking to him first.)
5. Leave the fortress. Head south until you reach the fork in the road - go
left here. Find a cabbage under some leaves along the way, and at the end
of the path you'll find a Power Source in a crate and the warehouse key
under another pile of leaves.
6. Head east, pick up the item at the dead-end, then go north. (Don't worry
about the detour to the southeast corner of the map - it's blocked for
now.) You'll start to encounter enemies now. When you reach the river,
follow it east to get a HP Source.
7. Cross the river and jump up the cliffs (there are steps at the east end)
to get the herbs.
~Katara~
8. Meanwhile Katara is helping Li Sha. Minigame time!
~Aang and Sokka~
9. Return to the infirmary.
10. This is your last chance to thoroughly explore the area before moving on.
Return to the warehouse to give the guard the key and collect your rewards.
Speak to another guard near the left warehouse to get a cabbage.
11. When you're ready, speak to General Fong - he's standing at the foot of
the stairs to the central tower. Time for your first boss battle!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE - GENERAL FONG

Fong will be assisted by two soldiers who throw large stone discs.
Fong's own attacks include calling up a large ring of earth around
himself, which will knock you back, and slowing/trapping you with a
cloud of dust.
Dodge the stone discs, defeat the soldiers first, and the fight isn't
too hard.
Fong may drop a HP Source or gold coin when defeated.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------
ENEMIES YOU'LL ENCOUNTER:
-------------------------
* Fire Nation soldiers
* Firebenders
* Yu Yan archers
--------
CABBAGES
--------
* Speak to a guard in the northwest part of the outer ring of the fortress.
* Smash a jar in the southeast lower area of the fortress.
* Under a leaf pile on the southwest road from the fortress.
---------
MINIGAMES
---------
PORTRAIT PUZZLE
Availability: During Chapter 1, any time after when Li Sha sends you to find
herbs and before you give them to her. Non-repeatable.
General Fong has a gift for Aang, but while he goes to fetch it, Aang
accidentally breaks a painting! You'll have to put it back together before the
General gets back!
Move puzzle pieces with the stylus, or tap them to rotate. It's easiest to
start with the face.
Reward: Special Tea Set (PWR+5)
ASSIST LI SHA
Availability: Storyline event in Chapter 1.
Repeatable in Chapter 7 - return to the infirmary with Katara in your party.
Heal the wounded soldiers. Tap their bandages with the stylus to heal them.
No reward.
-----------------------------
CHAPTER TWO: RETURN TO OMASHU
-----------------------------
With Fong defeated, we head on to Omashu.
~Aang and Sokka~
1. Travel through the sewers.
2. Find a Defence Source, just north of the sewer exit. Then head west, and
you'll run into a guy called Gito, who looks familiar though I'm not sure
where from.
3. Stand on the grate and press A to re-enter the sewers.
4. Make your way to the Hideout - the big square area at the north end.
5. Search for Pentapi in the sewers - check the SEWERS MAP (separate FAQ) for
locations.
6. Find supplies in the city above ground (leave the sewers via the Hideout) -
they're in red crates with a fire symbol on them. Smash the crates to get
the supplies.
The roofs marked in darker green on the in-game map are able to be walked
on - get up on them via the big crates (also marked).
1. Follow the road along from the sewer entrance - you'll find the first
crate quickly.
2. Go to the southeast corner of the map - the second crate is at the
end of the road leading north from here.
3 & 4. Go over the rooftops to the southwest corner of the map - the
crates are in this area.
5. Go north towards the palace (the huge building at the top of the map)
- when you get to the point where you can't go any further, go left.
The last crate is at the end of this path.
Also pick up a PWR Source in the small area to the west of the sewer exit.
7. Now return to the hideout, and speak to the soldier (the man in the hat)
standing in the middle of the room.
~Aang and Katara~
8. Return to the palace. Look who's turned up? And having really horrible
exposition dialogue?
9. Wonder where the canon timeline went.
10. Head around the palace, up the stairs, back around and through the big
doorway.
11. Climb the scaffolding in the centre of this area.
12. Once you jump off the scaffolding onto the upper floor, it's boss battle
time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE - OMASHU GOVERNOR
His two attacks are a forwards fire blast, and a circling ring of fire
that lasts for a few seconds (often with a fire blast as well). He seems
to be immune to knockback effects (eg. from Aang's Wind Gust attack) so
you can't stop him mid-attack - just try to keep out of the way. It's
better to not stand directly in front of him if you can help it.
The safest way to fight him is to use long range attacks. Use Lychees to
refill your chi gauge, and keep attacking. Also keep a watch on your
partner's health, because they tend to run in and get caught in the
flame circle a lot.
You can get a DEF Source as a reward from this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
SPECIAL ITEMS
-------------
* HP Source - far left side of the second level of the Palace
--------
CABBAGES
--------
None, since you cannot return here later.
Also, the Cabbage Merchant has probably decided to avoid Omashu...
------------------------
CHAPTER THREE: THE SWAMP
------------------------
~Katara~
1. Jump across the lilypads. If you miss and fall in the water, you'll be sent
back to the starting point.
2. Go into the village. Put out the fires.
3. Leave by the northwest exit. Follow the coast to find a cabbage in a crate.
4. From here, go back down, turn right when you can, then down, around the
corner, up, under the bridge, and make your way north.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. | MINIBOSS - Rough Rhinos |

Stage 1 of the battle is against the Yu Yan archer and the Bomber.
Keep running around so they can't aim at you very well. Attack and
move again.
Stage 2 is against the leader. If he shoots fire upwards, a series of
fireballs will fall from the sky - so run and don't stop moving until
they've stopped.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Aang and Sokka~
6. Make your way around the path to the lake. You'll be transported back to
the same map Katara started on, though at the opposite end.
7. Head north. Smash the barrels of toxic waste to clean up the swamp...
um, what?
8. Move onwards. Don't miss the Defence Source (head north from the barrel-
breaking and turn right) or the cabbage (under a pile of leaves along the
left-hand side of the path) along the way.
9. You'll encounter one of the swamp-dwellers and return to the village. One
of the ladies will send you to find mushrooms.
~Sokka and Katara~
** First, some item-collecting.
~ One of the villagers will give you a cabbage if you speak to him.
~ There's another cabbage under a pile of leaves in the village.
~ Now you have Sokka, you can use his X attack to cut through the hanging
vines blocking some of the paths. Leave the village by the northeast
exit to get to the higher ground that formed the "walls" of the maze
Katara went through earlier.
There's an SP Source up near where you fought the Rough Rhinos, and
another crate with a Pastry (healing item) elsewhere in the maze.
11. Speak to the man standing by the boat on the west side of the village to
go to the northwest area.
12. Collect the mushrooms - there are two on the path and another two around
the clearing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. | MINIBOSS - The "Red Death" |
Suddenly... Spider-scarabs, thousands of them!
They're pretty harmless, and they all go down in one hit, so it's not
too much to worry about.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. Return to the village and speak to the lady again.
~Aang and Katara~
15. Take the boat from south of the village to the southeast area.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
16. | BOSS BATTLE - SWAMP MONSTER |
He'll swing at you with his arms, and sometimes trap you with vines
rising from the lake. He'll turn to face you whenever you hit him, and
usually follow up with a punch. (Usually right-handed, but he starts
using both arms toward the end of the fight.)
He may drop a DEF Source.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
SPECIAL ITEMS
-------------
* Defence Source - north and east of where you smashed the barrels
--------
CABBAGES
--------
* Follow the coast northwest from the village. (west side of maze area)
* Talk to one of the villagers, after the group is reunited.
* Under a pile of leaves in the village.
* Under a pile of leaves along the path on the eastern side of the map.
-----------
HIDDEN AREA
-----------
On the south shore of the island where the town is, you can see a trail of
lilypads out across the water. (Start from inside the boat.) They're smaller
than the main trail of lilypads so it's quite hard to land correctly. Try to
start your jump quite close to the bottom edge of each lilypad.
For all your hard work, you get a DEF Source.
It's quite a large island and I don't think you ever visit it in the story, so
perhaps something was supposed to happen here and got removed. Or maybe it's a
sidequest I never discovered.
------------------------------
CHAPTER FOUR: THE BLIND BANDIT
------------------------------
Moving onward to Gaoling...
~Aang and Katara~
1. Find a cabbage in a crate the backstreets of the closest block of houses,
and get another by speaking to a man in the south of the market district
(southeast block).
2. Head north.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. | MINIBOSS - MERCENARIES |
Enemies: Mercenary, Earth Soldiers x2
The soldiers are fairly weak, but the leader has some strong
earthbending abilities. Keep out of his line of fire.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Find another cabbage in a crate in the middle of the park, just south of
the Academy.
5. Go to the Academy and talk to Master Yu.
6. MINIGAME - Rock Dodging
7. Talk to the students.
8. Go south, and then east out of town to the Arena.
9. Climb up the cliffs and get in through the back entrance.
Along the way, find a cabbage in a crate.
10. Meet up with Sokka again.
~Aang and Sokka~
------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. | MINIBOSS - THE BOULDER |
Enemies: The Boulder, Earthbenders x2
Look out for rocks! As well as the Earthbenders throwing their rock
discs around, The Boulder also uses discs, but smashes them down
instead of throwing them. He'll also create two rocks and then bring
them together, trapping anyone between them. Lots of jumping and
dodging is required!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. | MINIBOSS - TOPH |
Her two attacks are throwing a single rock or making a line of rock
spikes shoot from the ground. Either way, the best strategy is to run
round and dodge until she uses an attack, then get behind her and
counterattack.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. Leave the arena; go back in through the front entrance for a HP Source.
14. Head for Beifong Manor, in the northwest corner of the city (back past the
Academy). Don't forget to stop by the rest-house!
15. Go around to the side wall. Get captured. Rescue random Earth Nation
engineer guy.
16. Go into the side room and smash crates to find the plan he told you about,
and also an SP Source (and some annoyingly hard-to-kill spider-scarabs).
17. Talk to the engineer again.
18. MINIBOSS - Mercenary again. No backup soldiers though.
19. Back to Beifong Manor again (no forced detours this time!), over the wall
and through the garden. There's a HP Source at the south end of the path
along the east wall. Follow the wall along to the houses, and find one of
the dice for the dice minigame.
20. Head to the courtyard to find Toph.
Captured again! This is getting frustrating. >_<
~Sokka~
21. Go to the Arena. Katara will join you along the way.
~Sokka and Toph~
------------------------------------------------------------------------
22. BOSS - Xin Fu
(No information, sorry.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------
CABBAGES
--------
* In a a crate in the backstreets of southwest block of houses.
* Speak to a man in the south of the market district (southeast block of town).
* In a crate in the middle of the park (just south of the Earthbending Academy)
* In a crate on the cliffs outside the Arena.
-------------------------------------------------
MINIGAME - "DON'T ROLL A RED OR YELLOW" DICE GAME
-------------------------------------------------
First, you need to find the dice. One is in a crate just outside the entrance
to the Earthbending Academy, on a raised grey area to the right. The other is
at Beifong Manor, along the right-hand wall.
To play, all you can do is tap the screen to roll the dice on your turn. It
runs on pure chance, so it gets pretty tedious pretty quickly.
-----------
OTHER NOTES
-----------
You can break the large rocks blocking the path to the Arena back entrance
using Toph's second bending ability. There are some jars blocked in there, but
nothing in them.
-------------------------
CHAPTER FIVE: THE LIBRARY
-------------------------
~Aang and Toph~
1. MINIGAME - Earthbending Practice
2. Fight the Sandbenders.
3. Explore the town.
* If you try to talk to the Sandbenders, they will fight you.
* Find a cabbage in a jar in the rest area, another in a crate outside it
(to the left), and a third by talking to one of the townspeople.
4. When you're ready to leave, talk to Appa.
5. MINIGAME - Attack of the Buzzard Wasps
6. Enter the library.
7. Wan Shi Tong demands that you contribute something to the library. He seems
more impressed if you select the options "First Edition", "Offer", and
"Wanted Poster 2", but I don't know if it actually affects anything...
~Sokka~
8. Find a HP Source at the north end of the outer ring, and a parchment scrap
at the east end.
9. Make your way to the Planetarium in the centre.
10. Set the planetarium dial to the date written on the parchment - "9th day
of the 7th month, in the Year of the Dragon" (it was written in English if
you checked it in the Key Items menu, but the parchment and Planetarium
both use Chinese, so you just match the symbols). The number 7 looks like
a "t", and 9 is a bit like a "h". If you get it wrong twice, the game will
highlight the symbols on the parchment for you.
~Aang and Katara~
11. MINIGAME - Book Finder
12. MINIGAME - Escape from the Library
~Zuko and Iroh~
1. Get excited because we finally get to play as Zuko and Iroh!
2. MINIGAME - Zuko's Escape
3. Get disappointed when you realise this is the entire extent of their
playablility.
MINIGAME - EARTHBENDING PRACTICE
It's rock tennis time! Tap the boulder as it comes into the touch screen.
(Best minigame in the whole game, in my opinion.)
MINIGAME - ATTACK OF THE BUZZARD WASPS
MINIGAME - BOOK FINDER
Characters: Aang and Katara
Availability: Storyline event in Wan Shi Tong's library, repeatable in Chapter
7 at Ba Sing Se library.
Press the A/B/X/Y buttons to find the book that matches the one in the speech
bubble. The first few rounds it's just "odd one out" but once you get more than
two colours of book at a time, you'll have to pay attention.
MINIGAME - ESCAPE FROM THE LIBRARY
(sorry, no information on this. I remember it being tricky.)
MINIGAME - ZUKO'S ESCAPE
Characters: Zuko and Iroh
Availablility: Storyline event, non-repeatable.
Dodge trees, rocks and dynamite as you escape from the Rough Rhinos.
Press B to jump. Small rocks, cacti and dynamite can be jumped over; large
rocks and trees cannot.
Press Y to burn trees and cacti.
It's easiest to burn through all the plants, and jump or dodge everything else.
--------
CABBAGES
--------
* In a crate in the item shop.
* In a jar in the rest area.
* In a crate outside the rest area.
* Talk to a man in the town.
--------------------------------------
CHAPTER SIX: CITY OF WALLS AND SECRETS
--------------------------------------
A NOTE ON LOCATIONS:
Ba Sing Se is divided into different locations, from north to south:
~ The Palace
~ Upper Ring (orange roofs) - the rest house is here
~ Middle Ring (green roofs) - the library is here
~ Lower Ring (brown roofs) - market district
~Sokka and Toph~
1. Go to the Palace, and enter through the side door.
2. Fight your way through the Palace to the throne room. There's a Power
Source in a jar in the southwest room.
~Katara~
3. Explore Ba Sing Se as you make your way to the Lower Ring.
~ Upper Ring - Find a cabbage in a crate in the northeast corner.
~ Middle Ring - Find a HP Source in a crate near the river (in a dead-end
across a bridge) and a cabbage in a jar, just south of the library.
~ One of the townspeople will also give you a cabbage.
~ Lower Ring - find the Cabbage Man in the marketplace! Trade in the
cabbages you've found so far (you should have 17) for HP-boosting
High-Quality Cabbages.
4. Talk to a man on the road along the south border of the city.
5. Meet Jet, and go north through the backstreets to the warehouse.
6. Fight the Dai Li.
~Aang~
6. Take the southern road west out of town. Find a cabbage under some leaves
just north of the entrance to the underground lair.
7. Make your way through the underground. There's a HP Source in a crate in
the first big room on your right, surrounded by pillars, and in the room
straight ahead from the entrance there's also a Power Source in a crate
mostly hidden behind a pillar.
--------
CABBAGES
--------
- UPPER RING
* In a crate in the northeast corner.
- MIDDLE RING
* In a crate near the river - cross the lower bridge into a small dead-end
area.
* In a jar, just south of the library.
* One of the townspeople will give you one.
- LOWER RING
* Under a pile of leaves near the entrance to Lake Laogai.
------------------------
CHAPTER SEVEN: THE DRILL
Part A: Backtracking
------------------------
First, a moment's silence to mourn the passing of the canon timeline.
Now, you have the opportunity to revisit the areas from the previous six
chapters (except Omashu) to find any items you may have missed, or to replay
minigames. Speak to Appa to fly to a location.
You can also now switch team members at any time by going to the rest area.
Speak to a character standing there and they will replace the character in your
active party that you are currently *not* controlling.
For general exploring, Toph and Sokka are the best team, as between them they
can clear all types of obstacles.
Things to do:
THE FORTRESS:
~ Take Toph with you to find a cabbage in the southeast corner of the map, in
an area blocked off by boulders. Use her X attack to break them.
~ With Katara in your party, go to the infirmary to replay the Help Li Sha
minigame and earn food.
THE SWAMP:
~ Continue trying to jump across the lilypads, if you gave up earlier. >_<
GAOLING:
~ Replay the dice game.
~ With Aang, go to the Earthbending Academy to replay the Rock Dodging minigame
and earn EXP.
~ With Toph, go to the cliffs outside the Arena and use her second earthbending
ability (rock spikes) to smash some of the huge boulders and get two HP
Sources and a Power Source.
MISTY PALMS OASIS:
~ With Aang and Toph, walk up to the rock near Appa to replay the Earthbending
Training minigame and earn EXP.
~ With Sokka, cut open the cactus in front of Appa to get a HP Source.
~ Go to the house in the southwest of the village, and speak to the man inside
to replay the Attack of the Buzzard Wasps minigame and earn money.
BA SING SE:
~ With Aang and Katara, go to the Library to replay the Book Finding minigame
and earn money.
~ Trade your cabbages.
When you've had enough, stock up on food and Red Potions. All set? Now, it's
onwards to the final battle!
-------------------------
CHAPTER 7: THE DRILL
Part B: The Drill Machine
-------------------------
~Sokka~
1. Find and smash the five red valves. If you're getting lost, just pick a
wall to follow and you'll eventually come across all of them.
2. Return to the entrance and go outside.
~Sokka and Toph~
3. Fight the Fire Nation soldiers. Try to take out the benders first.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. | BOSS: MAI AND TY LEE |
Focus on Ty Lee first, as her stun attack is very annoying. Try to not
let her get close to you, as she can only attack if you're directly in
front of her. Use a Red Potion to recover if she knocks you out. Once
she's gone, Mai is easy to defeat.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Aang and Katara~
5. MINIGAME: Destroy the Braces
Hit the indicated buttons on the D-pad and A/B/X/Y buttons. It speeds up
as you go along and is quite annoying.
~Aang~
* Use up any remaining stat-boosting items. You'll need them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. | FINAL BOSS: AZULA |
She's deadly quick and can fire a long string of fireballs at you. She
also has a spinning kick, and if you see her charging a fireball in
her hands, STAY AWAY. It will explode into a large area around her and
send you flying. The best time to attack her is while she's throwing
her normal fireballs - dodge around and attack her from behind. You
might be able to get a long-range bending attack in while she does her
exploding fireball trick, too (but make sure you're at a safe
distance). Keep an eye on your health, and heal constantly. It takes a
while, but eventually you'll get to the end.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations, you have beaten "The Burning Earth".
BOMBERS
Black-hooded soldiers. They throw sticks of dynamite.
DAI LI
Their thrown projectiles will knock you out briefly. If you see a cloud of
dust around you, move away, or you'll be trapped by earth spikes.
EARTH SOLDIERS
Soldiers armed with spears.
EARTHBENDERS
Unarmed Earth Soldiers. They attack with huge discs of rock.
ELITE FIREBENDERS
Quicker with their firebending, and covering a longer range than the normal
Firebenders. (They're based on Azula's guards from Episode 2.01)
FIRE SOLDIERS
Low-ranked soldiers. Some have swords, some have spears.
Both are easy to defeat.
FIREBENDERS
These masked soldiers attack with a series of fire attacks - look out for
their finishing kick, which has quite a long range. Try to stop them
mid-combo with a long-ranged attack of your own.
SPIDER-SCARABS
They attack in groups. You don't get anything for defeating them.
THYLADILLOS (Thylacine-Armadillos - my guess at what they are, anyway)
Grey armoured wolf-like creatures. They're quick and they can leap at you.
I think there should be 20 cabbages in the game, but I wrote down one extra
location. Let me know if you find one listed that isn't there.
