Lately, I've been recieving all types of letters. At first, it was only one
guy so I decided to help him out since I had a lot of spare time at that time.
But I'm now getting lots of letters and some of them are really annoying me.
I've thus decided to put up this e-mail policy to make you understand as to
which e-mails I will and will not reply. Please read the following carefully.
E-mails I will accept:
------------------------
- Contributions.
- Corrections.
- Comments.
- Positive/Negative feedback.
- Webmasters who wish to post this FAQ on their site.
- Your mail must be in text only.
E-mails I will delete:
---------------------------
- People asking me for cheats for this game. There are sites and message
boards for this.
- People asking me to send them this FAQ.
- Nonsense e-mails like 'I think I love you' or 'Where can I find this game
in my country?'.
- E-mails that are all in CAPS.
- Chainletters.
- Spams.
- Info already stated in this FAQ.
Please not that this is the final version. Any contributions you send me
won't be included. However, you may still mail me if you have questions.
This is my second character guide for KoF 99, the other one being for Kyo-1.
So, you'll only find stuff about Andy in it, his moves, his combos and other
stuff related to him. If you own the game on PSX, DC or Neo-Geo, that's great
because you'll be able to practice the combos in Practice Mode and master them.
Now, bear in mind that just reading it and learning everything by heart won't
make you an expert with Andy or any other character. You need practice!
Moreover, I'm not a really great Andy player myself since I use others and I
only play with him when I choose his whole team or under Roulette. There may
be a lot of combos that I've missed or simple ones that I've completely
forgotten about. Feel free to write to me for any suggestions and contributions.
I'll give you credit for your help :)
Updates are done when there is the need to do so and when I have spare time
of course.

MOVESLIST
-----------
Gourin Kai When close, b / f + C
Kakaekomi Nage When close, b / f + D
Age Men df + A
Uwa Agito f + B
Zan'ei Ken db,f + P
Shippuu Ouken qcf + P from Zan'ei Ken
Hishou Ken qcb + A
Geki Hishou Ken qcb + C
Shouryuu Dan f,d,df + P
Kuuha Dan hcf + K
Gekiheki Haisui Shou When close, hcf + P
Gen'ei Shiranui In air, qcf + K
Gen'ei Shiranui: Shimo Agito Press P upon landing from Gen'ei Shiranui
Gen'ei Shiranui: Uwa Agito Press K upon landing from Gen'ei Shiranui
Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken qcb,hcf + P
Chou Reppa Dan qcb,db,f + K
Age Men : df + A
Andy crouches and thrusts his hand up for a 2-hit move. It can be cancelled
after the first hit but not on the second. Pretty useless though.
Uwa Agito : f + B
This hits as an overhead and is again pretty much useless.
Zan'ei Ken : db,f + P
Andy will go towards the enemy and perform a mid-attack with his elbow. Good
move and has decent recovery time too.
Shippuu Ouken : qcf + P from Zan'ei Ken
Follow up to Zan'ei Ken. Only do this if the latter has connected.
Hishou Ken : qcb + A
Smaller version of his fireball which hits only a fireball. Great move against
a character who's just getting up. Just abuse this move.
Geki Hishou Ken : qcb + C
Andy's fireball which is a 5-hit. It can be cancelled into a Desperation Move
when in Counter Mode.
Shouryuu Dan : f,d,df + P
Great anti-air move. Can be comboed.
Kuuha Dan : hcf + K
Andy thrusts his feet forward to attack the opponent. Really great move with
appreciable recovery time.
Gekiheki Haisui Shou : When close, hcf + P
Missed move has no animation. 5-hit move which can be followed by another move
for comboing. Can also be cancelled into a DM in Counter Mode.
Gen'ei Shiranui : In air, qcf + K
Andy will lunge at the opponent and will connect with his elbow. Do the 2
following moves immediately if it connects.
Gen'ei Shiranui: Shimo Agito : Press P upon landing from Gen'ei Shiranui
This is actually a kick and it will knock your opponent down.
Gen'ei Shiranui: Uwa Agito : Press K upon landing from Gen'ei Shiranui
Overhead attack and will again knock your opponent down.
Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken : qcb,hcf + P
Desperation move. Andy will go forward just like for the Zan'ei Ken (see
the name?). He will then do a 5-hit move if it connects. Note that when
blocked, Andy will not perform it.
Chou Reppa Dan : qcb,db,f + K
Desperation move. Same animation as for Kuuha Dan except that Andy's body
will be on 'fire' a bit after the move starts.
Note that you may also perform qcb, hcf.

COMBOS
--------
Yup, Andy has quite a handful of those. You probably know about the most
basic ones but you need to practice the harder ones first, specially the
Counter Mode ones. I'll say it again, KoF requires practice!! This section
will be seperated in 4 parts: Beginners, Intermediate, Expert and Counter
Mode. I decided to put those Counter Mode combos under a different part to
make things easier (for you and for me) but I guess you already know that
they would fall under the Expert Section. Some combos can be done only in
the corner and I'll say it clearly before the combos. Don't try these anywhere
else, they won't work. To the combos then!
***BEGINNERS***
1. Standing C, Uwa Agito(f+B)
2. Standing C, Hishou Ken(qcb+A)
3. Standing C, Kuuha Dan(hcf+B)
Do the B version only. If you use the D version, the opponent will have
the time to block and it no longer is a combo.
4. Standing C, Zan'ei Ken(db,f+P)
It's a bit tough but with practice, it becomes a really easy combo and
it's quite flashy too :)
5. Standing C, Zan'ei Ken(db,f+P), Shippuu Ouken(qcf+P from Zan'ei Ken)
Same as above with an additional hit.
1. Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P)
Be careful with this one. The standing C is a 2-hit, right? You need to
input the hcf+P immediately after the first hit, i.e. cancel the Standing
C into the Gekiheki Haisui Shou. It won't work otherwise.
2. Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P), Kuuha Dan(hcf+K)
Just the same as above with a third move thrown in.
3. Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P), run a little forward
and do the Shouryuu Dan(f,d,df+P)
Better than #2 IMO. If timed correctly, you'll have a whooping 9 hits and
a nice portion of your opponent's life taken off.
***EXPERT***
1. Crouching C, Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken(qcb,hcf+P)
2. Standing C, Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken(qcb,hcf+P)
No need to cancel on the first hit here. The DM connects in either way for
a really nice combo.
2. Kuuha Dan(hcf+B), cancel into Chou Reppa Dan(qcb,db,f+K)
One of his coolest combos. Requires good timing though.
3. Standing C, Zan'ei Ken(db,f+A), Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken(qcb,hcf+P)
The Zan'ei Ken is A-version only. C-version doesn't cancel!
4. Standing C, Geki Hishou Ken(qcb+C), cancel into Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken(qcb,hcf+P)
- Dan Owen
***CORNER ONLY***
1. Standing C, Geki Hishou Ken(qcb+C), cancel into Zan'ei Ryuusei Ken(qcb,hcf+P)
This doesn't really count like a combo but it works most of the time and
it really confuses your opponent.
5. Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P), Uwa Agito(f+B)
Why do this when you can do the above, you're asking!? To make fun of
your opponent :)
6. Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P), Uwa Agito(f+B)
Same as aboce with an additional hit.
7. Jumping C, Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+P),
Uwa Agito(f+B)
The icing on the cake!!?
8. Jumping C, Standing C, Gekiheki Haisui Shou(When close, hcf+C), Chou
Reppa Dan(qcb,db,f+K)
Timing crucial here. If it is a SDM, the combo will take away about 70-80%
of the opponent's life. Hehehe, neat ^-^
