I. Story
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1000 years ago, the heroine Alis defeated the evil King Lassic and freed the
Algo Star System of the tyrant and of evil. However, since then Algo has been
reliant on the super computer "Mother Brain", especially the planet of Motavia
(or as the game calls it, Mota). Motavia has been transferred from the desert
it once was to a green, flourishing planet like that of Palma (or Palm). But,
the people of Motavia have become weaker because they rely solely on Mother
Brain. However, evil starts to threaten Algo once again.

II. Characters

Note: Starting stats are fixed when you start, but as you level up you get
different state bonuses. The level 50 stats are what I had, but they should
give you a general idea of what you should get.

Rolf Landale             Agent

When Rolf was 10 years old, his parents were killed on board a spaceship crash.
After that crash, Mother Brain had outlawed space travel. Rolf now at the age
of 20, now works as an Agent for the city of Paseo on Motavia. However,
every night he is haunted by the same dream of a girl fighting a huge demon.
Rolf can be silent, but he is a great leader and a powerful fighter.

Nei            Numan

Rolf found this young creature on one of his missions. Nei was a little girl
at the time, but she grew up rapidly, as Numans tend to do. What she is
remains a mystery until you find out that she was the first of a line of
experiments on biomonsters. Nei is very fast and strong. She'll level up fast,
but her defense is still something to be desired.

Rudolf "Rudo" Steiner   Hunter

Rudo was once a part of the army, but that all changed once his wife and only
child were killed. After that, he became a Hunter, which would start the long
line of Hunters in the later Phantasy Star games. Rudo cannot use any magic,
but the guy is so strong that you won't need to have him use magic. He can use
very powerful guns with the greatest of ease. He hails from Arima.

Amy Sage                Doctor

Amy grew up in a normal home in Oputa and grew up to become a doctor. Though
she cannot fight worth a lick, her healing spells more than make up for her
fighting ability. However, if given Fire Staves, she can fight pretty well.
She is probably one of the characters you'll keep forever.

Hugh Thompson           Biologist

Hugh has always been fascinated by nature, even as a child. Nobody knows where
he comes from, but he tends to do a lot of biological studies. Though he is a
smart man, Hugh is very weak. His spells can do a lot of damage to
bio-monsters, but bio-monsters are easily killed anyway. His strength is
equaled to that of Amy and Shir. I highly recommend not to even bother wasting
your time with Hugh.

Anna Kirski             Guardian
Anna from Piata is a Guardian who fights Hunters. Though Rudo is a Hunter
himself, Anna will get along with him. She is a powerful fighter with the
3rd highest strength rating in the game (behind Rolf and Rudo). With a pair
of Slashers, she can really be tough, but just don't get her near any of the
Robots. The only other thing holding her back is lack of good spells, but
Shift should make her useful.

Josh Kain               Wrecker
Kain has probably had a few too many blows to the head when he tried fixing
machines. Everything he tried to fix, he wrecked, and in wrecking the
machines, probably took a lot of brain damage. Just listen to Kain speak and
you'll understand. Kain is strong in his own way, but he's very powerful
against robots, which will come in handy. But once you leave for Dezoris,
Kain's usefulness will be less.

Shir Gold               Thief

Shir of the Wind is a local thief at Piata who hears about Rolf and decides to
join him. Shir has the unique ability to go into shops and steal from them,
which will make your life a LOT easier. Her fighting skills are something to
be scoffed at, as even Amy has better fighting skills than her. Her main use
will be to steal.

III. Walkthrough
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you start Phantasy Star II, you'll be taken to a dream. Rolf will say
that he keeps having dreams of a girl being beaten by a demon. Anyway, you'll
figure that out later. Rolf awakens and walks over to the Central Tower in
Paseo, Mota (Motavia from the other PS games). The commander wants Rolf to
find something in the Bio-systems Lab. Rolf goes back home and is surprised
when a girl he found one day, Nei, won't let him go unless she goes. Rolf, not
having the time to argue, decides to let her go.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Many, many fights
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paseo:

Now you have control of your characters. The first thing you'll want to do is
buy 2 Steel Bars for Nei at the Weaponry in town. Equip them on her then save
at the Data Memory in town. When you are ready, walk outside.

Mota:

For now, just stay around the area and don't bother going through the bridge
yet. Fight monsters around this area to build up some levels. If you run low
on HP, go to the Hospital in Paseo to heal. Fight around until Rolf is at
Level 3 and Nei is at Level 6 (Nei will level up about twice as fast as Rolf).
Once you have the levels, go back to Paseo:

Paseo:

Buy Rolf another Knife here and a Fiber Coat. Sell the Carbon Suit. Rest at
the Hospital and then save. Head back out.

Mota:

Now you should be strong enough to go through the bridge. Walk north from
Paseo, through the bridge, to the other side. Now, walk north a bit and then
before you reach the footbridge (smaller bridge that you don't enter), head
east behind the domes and then south. You should eventually come to a town
called Arima.

Arima:

Looks like someone totaled this town. There really isn't much you can do here,
but, now that you've been here, teleport or walk (I suggest walking to save
money) back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Keep in mind that whenever you visit a new town, a new person will be waiting
for you at Rolf's house, waiting to join. Go to Rolf's house and Rudolf
Steiner will be waiting there for you. Rudo is a powerhouse, and should be
kept at the front line. Reorganize and put Rudo in. He'll be able to help you
out a lot. Exit town.

Mota:

Now time to level up Rudo a bit. Fight around until he gets to Level 3. It
shouldn't be too hard to do. Once you have that set, go back into Paseo.

Paseo:

At this point in the game, Rudo is much stronger with bladed weapons. Buy him
a pair of Daggers and toss the Bowgun. Rest and save again, then head outside.

Mota:

Make your way back to Arima. Fight around that area until Rolf gets up to
Level 7. It may take a while, but the money you'll make along with the fact
that Rolf will now know Ryuka and Hinas, will make things easier. Enter Arima.

Arima:

Buy Rolf a Sword right now. Trust me on this, you will very much need the
added strength and defense of this weapon in the battles to come. Teleport or
walk to Paseo now.

Paseo:

Buy Rudo a Telepipe and Escapipe just to have in his hands. ALWAYS keep one
of each on Rudo, as he's more likely to survive than anyone else. Buy
everybody about 4 Monomates and 1 Antidote each. Heal and Save, then exit.

Mota:

Go back towards Arima. Now, head east a bit to the footbridge, then travel
northeast from there until you see a building. This is Shure. Enter it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Shure Thing
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: Make a note that all the dungeons in this game are pretty lengthy and
will make you endure a long, agonizing journey each time. For the first level,
Shure is not sure thing. Though the monsters for the first part are ones
you have already seen, it's still not exactly the easiest thing. Just so you
know, all dungeon walkthroughs will have me telling you where you should be.
I will also give recommended levels for each dungeon. Also, don't be afraid to
exit the dungeon and come back. Sometimes you will need to do that just to
survive.

Shure - Recommended Level: 7
F1 Treasures: Monomate, 150 Meseta, 40 Meseta, Dynamite x2
F2 Treasures: Dimate
F3 Treasures: Headgear, 200 Meseta
F4 Treasures: Silver Ribbon, Letter, Small Key

Shure F1:

From the entrance, go left and follow up and around to the middle section (it
is really the only way you can go). There is a treasure with 40 Meseta, so
make sure you get that. Keep going left to the chute. Note the color of the
arrows around the chute. If it is yellow, you go up a floor, and if it is red,
you go down a floor. Take this chute up.

Shure F2:

Go down to the bottom and then left. When you see two walls and an opening
just above you, go up. Grab the treasure with the Dimate and take the chute
going up close to it.

Shure F3:

Go right a bit then up until you reach a treasure with a Head Gear. Give that
to Rolf and have him equip it. Go back down and take the chute you came out of.

Shure F2:

Go back down and then left and up. Follow to the top and then go right. Don't
go down the first path you see, but go right some more and take that path
going down. Take the chute going up.

Shure F3:

Go right a bit then down. Before you come to the place with the pits that take
you back to F2, go down a bit for a treasure chest with 200 Meseta. Go back up
and take the path to the left in between the pits. Go up and to the right.
Follow and take the chute going up

Shure F4:

It is always the last floor that has the toughest enemies, so be careful here.
From where you arrived, go up until you hit a wall, then go left to the wall,
then up. Grab the Silver Ribbon in the chest for Nei. Go back down and right.
When you're in an opening, go all the way down, then just follow the walls
going left. You'll go up and around, then back down. In the middle of a small
room at the end of this trek is a dead man. Search him to get the Small Key
and the Letter. Read the letter (which was intended for Darum, the guy blocking
the North Bridge) and the writer will say that he has Darum's daughter locked
in Nido Tower, and will only let her go for 50,000 Meseta. Well, you know
where to go now. But before you do, head back around and take the Chute back
down to F3.

Shure F3:

Go back right and around to the path between the pits to the chute back to
F2.

Shure F2:

Go left a bit, then down and right to the chute down to F1.

Shure F1:

Use the Small Key on the chest to open it up. It contains 150 Meseta. Go back
up the chute.

Shure F2:

Go up to the wall then left. Take the first path going down to the small room.
Take the chute going down.

Shure F1:

Again, use the Small Key on the chest here to get a Monomate. Take the chute
back up.

Shure F2:
Go back up then left and down. Go back to the room where you got the Dimate,
only this time take the chute going down.

Shure F1:

This chest is locked like the last two, so use the Small Key and take the
Dynamite inside (hehehe... boom!). Take the chute back up.

Shure F2:

Go down from the chute and then right. There should be a small room with two
chutes. Take the one going down.

Shure F1:

For the last time, use the Small Key and pick up the 2nd stick of Dynamite.
Now you are free to use Hinas to get out of here.

Mota:

Either walk back or use Ryuka, depending on how much life you have left in you.

Paseo:

Heal here and head to the Storage Room in the Central Tower. You won't need
the Small Key anymore, so store that in there since you can't sell it. Sell
any un-needed items and save up. Head to Arima.

Arima:

Now you'll really need a boost of power. Buy Rudo 2 Ceramic Knives. Yes, they
are VERY expensive, but you'll thank me later when you have the extra EXP to
help you out. If you don't have the money, go back to the area around Shure
and fight around until you do. It takes 5600 Meseta to get two of them. Make
SURE you do that. Head back to Paseo once you have it.

Paseo:

Sell the Daggers and anything else you don't need. Buy some more Monomates and
finally save up. Head outside.

Mota:

Now you have to head to Nido. Make your way back to Shure then go south from
there across a footbridge. Go southwest from there and you will soon reach
Nido Tower.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c. Nido, Tower of Death
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nido - Recommended Level: 8
F2 Treasures: Dimate, 20 Meseta, 100 Meseta
F3 Treasures: 30 Meseta, Trimate, Teim

Nido F1:

Though this tower has many paths to take, many leading to dead-ends, it is
always good in this game to get every treasure in each dungeon. From the
entrance, go up to the door and use the Dynamite. The door will explode open,
allowing you to get in. Go up past the door and go right to the wall, go up
then left. Take the chute going up.

Nido F2:

Go up to get 100 Meseta from the chest. Go right and down until you find a
chute going up.

Nido F3:

The 3rd floor is FULL of nasty monsters. Be very careful around Blasters, as
they can drop you like a fly without even breaking a sweat. Anyway, go up a
bit then left to the wall. Go up to the wall, right a bit, up to the wall, and
left to a chest with a Trimate. Go back to the chute you came from.

Nido F2:

Go up and left back to that chute that you took before.

Nido F1:

From here, go left to the wall, then up to the wall. Go right a bit and then
up to the chute.

Nido F2:

Go down, left a bit, then down again. At the bottom wall, go left until you
see a chest with 20 Meseta. Go back up to the chute. Again, go down a bit, then
left all the way this time. Down, left, and down will take you to a chest with
a Dimate in it. From this chest, go up and left, down and left again. Go up
and there will be a chute on your left and right. Take the one to the right.

Nido F3:

Go right from the chute and then take the first path going down you come to.
Go right again and follow to a chest with 30 Meseta. Go back to the chute.

Nido F2:

Go left and take the chute down.

Nido F1:

Go right and take the 2nd path going down. To the right is a chute going up.

Nido F2:

Go down all the way and left all the way to the next chute.

Nido F3:

Now you will want to hurry. Go down from the chute then right to the wall. Go
up all the way and hug the upper wall around to the little area in the center.
There will stand a girl. This is Teim, and she asks to be taken to her father.
Now you are done with Nido. Now make your way out before the Blasters spot you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
d. Oputa, Oputa, Oputa!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mota:

Head to Paseo to heal, then go north from Paseo all the way to the coastline.
From there, enter the bridge to the left. This is the North Bridge.

North Bridge:

Darum guards this bridge and won't let anyone pass without giving him their
money. Teim comes out with her face covered. Darum doesn't recognize her and
kills her. After killing her, he realizes that it was his daughter, and then
will kill himself. A sad turn of events, but at least the bridge is now free.
Exit the other side.

Mota:

Head west past the footbridge then south. Near the bottom there is another
footbridge going east. Cross it and enter the nearby town of Oputa. Just enter
long enough to head back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Go to Rolf's house and you'll find Amy Sage knocking on your door. She offers
to help you with her healing abilities. Amy is very useful for the entire game,
much like Rudo is. Reorganize and add Amy to your party. Keep her in back as
she is a very weak fighter. Head back to Oputa.

Oputa:

Now that you're here, buy Nei 2 Ceramic Bars and Amy a 2nd Scalpel. Though the
Scalpels aren't great, Amy shouldn't be doing much attacking right now anyway.
Now buy Amy a Fiber Cape and a Fiber Gear. Don't worry about Rolf and Rudo
right now. Exit to Mota.

Mota:

Make your way back to Nido.

Nido:

Keep Amy on the defensive for a while. Nido is the best place to level Amy up
for now. Though it may take a while, level her up to level 9. This is when she
learns Sar, which will REALLY help you out a lot. However, don't go to the
top just yet. Let her reach around level 5 before taking her to the top floor.
The experience is better on the top, so it should make things go quicker. When
you are set, head to Paseo and heal there, then head to Oputa.

Oputa:

Now you can buy Rolf and Rudo a Fiber Gear. Also buy Nei a Fiber Vest. You'll
also want to buy Amy a pair of Ceramic Knives. Though her attack will still
be the weakest, at least she'll be able to put up a fight now. Save and exit
this town.

Mota:

Go south then west from Oputa. Cross the footbridge and continue west to the
next footbridge. Go southeast a bit to the last footbridge then you should see
the Bio-systems Lab. Enter it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
e. Nothing like Biology
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bio-systems Lab - Recommended Level: 11
F2 Treasures: Star Mist, Antidote, Scalpel
F3 Treasures: Dynamite
B1 Treasures: Poison Shot, Antidote, Trimate, Recorder

Bio Lab F1:

Now you have to use your last piece of Dynamite. This level isn't exactly the
most complicated thing, but with many twists and turns, it can be annoying.
From the entrance, go left to the wall, the up to the next wall. Left again,
up again, then left again. Go up all the way then right to the end. Finally,
go up a bit, right, the up to the chute.

Bio Lab F2:

Grab the nearby treasure with the Antidote. Go down to the wall then hug the
wall going left. Go down, following the wall still and grab the treasure with
the Star Mist. Now go back to where you got the Antidote. Fall down the pit
to the far right.

Bio Lab F1:

Go down and take the chute going up.

Bio Lab F2:

Go right to the far wall and then down. To the left should be a chest with a
Scalpel in it. Grab it and go back to the chute.

Bio Lab F1:

Go right all the way then down all the way. Go left past the test-tube things,
go up a bit, then left to the next chute.

Bio Lab F2:

Just go up and follow to the right for another chute going up.

Bio Lab F3:

This can be quite a trip. Go left form the chute then down all the way. Go
right to the far wall, then down a bit. Go right, down, and right again and
there should be a treasure chest with the last stick of Dynamite. Now make
your way back to the chute, only this time, go up and left. Now go up to the
top, left, down, and left again. Take the 2nd path going down, then go left
again and go down. Head right to the end and then up. There should be a door
here. Blow it open with the Dynamite, the walk in and fall down the hole.

Bio Lab B1:

You'll now wind up in a small room on the bottom floor. The bottom floor is
VERY dangerous, especially with all the damage floors. For every step you take
on those glowing floors, everyone in the party will receive 1 HP of damage.
Go left from where you land, then up. Walk over the damage floors to the left
wall then up. The least you could take on those floors so far is 5 steps. Now
hug the lower wall and you'll totally avoid the next set of damage floors when
you go left. Go up and you'll see another set of damage floors to your right,
guarding a treasure with a Trimate inside it. Step on the lower one on the
right and then go down. Grab the Trimate and go back the same way. You should
only take 2 damage this time. Continue going up and to the right. Follow the
path (you will have to step on damage floors, but to minimize the damage, if
you see floors that are diagonal from each other, step on one then to a safe
floor. When you get to the right room, there is a computer in the middle.
Search it to get the Recorder. Now, you can either use Hinas to get out, or
walk your way out. If you walk, go back to the room where you landed. Make
your way to the bottom wall. Go right all the way to the end. Down and left
will give you a Poison Shot. Go back up and left all the way. There is a
treasure with an Antidote near the chute. Take the chute when you are done.

Bio Lab F1:

Just go down to exit.

Mota:

Make your way back to Oputa, then warp to Paseo.

Paseo:

Head to Rolf's house and another knock will come on the door. This time, from
a Biologist named Hugh Thompson. Personally, all I do with Hugh is take his
equipment and sell him. I NEVER use Hugh, as his skills have no use to me at
all, and I recommend not using him as well. Besides, he's just about as strong
as Amy is, only Amy is more useful.

Anyway, once you leave Hugh to stay at Rolf's house, head to the Central Tower.
You will immediately take the Recorder to the Commander. After you find out
what went wrong with the Bio-systems Lab, the Librarian will give you the
Key Tube. Exit town when you have it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
f. Cities by the Dump
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mota:

I recommend walking. Gives you plenty of exercise. Make your way back to the
Bio-systems Lab, then go south to the bridge.

Western Bridge:

The door is locked and you're out of Dynamite. Well, use the Key Tube to open
the door, and exit the other side.

Mota:

Go southeast a bit until you see a bridge. Enter it and go north. Enter the
town of Zema nearby.

Zema:

There is some good equipment here to get. Get Rolf a Ceramic Sword and give
Rolf, Rudo, and Amy a Titanium Gear. Don't worry about weapons yet, as the
Ceramic weapons should be just fine. Exit down.

Mota:

Don't worry about going back to Paseo yet to get your new partner. For now,
let's make our way to the next town. From Zema go south past the footbridge
and then head west to the next footbridge. Now go west around the domes and
northeast to the footbridge. Now make your way to the nearby town of Kueri.

Kueri:

This is a great place to get some armor. Though it is expensive, building up
the money for it is always a good thing. Buy Rolf a Titanium Chest, Rudo a
Titanium Armor, and Amy a Titanium Cape. Again, if you don't have the money,
take and go outside and fight. You will get excellent experience here.

Mota:

When you are set, continue fighting around some more. Build up about 9,000
Meseta by fighting these tough monsters. Don't be afraid to use Rolf's
techniques here in these fights, as some of these monsters are strong. Just
survive and rest at the hospital in Kueri when you are hurt. Make your way
back to Zema when you are set.

Zema:

Buy Rudo a pair of Laser Knives. When you have that set, teleport or warp back
to Paseo.

Paseo:

Go to Rolf's house and Anna Kirski will show up. She's useful later, but right
now just keep her at the house. Exit and enter again. Seems your house has
been busy now, because now Josh Kain will show up. Kain, like Anna, is
useful later, but not right now. He'll be more useful when you have to fight
the robots.

Rest up and warp back to Zema, then save and exit.

Mota:

Enter the bridge then go south. Continue south past the next footbridge. Keep
going south around the gulf and then go east. You will see Roron. Enter it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
g. Trash and Treasure
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roron - Recommended Level: 13
B1 Treasures: Cannon, Garbage
B2 Treasures: Ceramic Bar, Garbage
B3 Treasures: Garbage x2

Roron F1:

Roron is a bit complicated, and there is more to this place than you think. For
now, let's get some experience and an item. Go down and take the chute.

Roron B1:

Go up and make your way around to the right. The treasure there is full of
garbage right now (literally). Take the first chute you come to.

Roron B2:

Go right from there to find a Ceramic Bar. Go back up that chute.

Roron B1:

Go left and back around to the chute back to the first floor.

Roron F1:

So now you're back here, eh? Well, what a lot of people seem to miss is that
there is another part just below where you are. To find it, step outside the
room, but stay within the dungeon. Hug the wall VERY closely and head left
and down. Go down from the left side and you'll see another room. Enter the
room and go down the chute.

Roron B1:

Make your way right, down, and then left. Follow left and up and left again.
Don't take the chute at the bottom. Instead, go up and you should find a
chest with a Cannon. Not a bad weapon, but not good for right now. Go up and
take the chute there.

Roron B2:

The treasure below you has garbage, so ignore it and go down and left to the
next chute.

Roron B3:

Just go all the way down to the bottom. It shouldn't be too hard. The treasure
has garbage in it, but talk to both of the Motavians. One talks about making
the Jet Scooter, the other says that you can watch them use it if you want.
Exit the dungeon by Hinas if you want, else walk out.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
h. The STEAL Curtain
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mota:

Now there will be a Jet Scooter waiting there. Search it and there will be a
note saying that anybody who wants it can have it. Now you've got yourself a
Jet Scooter. Before you go anywhere, head back to Zema to rest, then get on
the Scooter.

From Roron, go east until you hit a small island, then go north and get off
there. The monsters around here are REALLY tough, so make sure you're prepared
to fight them off. From where you get off, go west past the footbridge, then
northwest to another footbridge. Go north again past a footbridge, then west
past the last one. Go south from there and enter the town of Piata.

Piata:

The armor in town may be too strong and too expensive for you to get right now,
but the Titanium equipment should be fine. Buy Rolf a Laser Sword and Nei a
pair of Laser Bars. Also, buy Nei a Jewel Ribbon. When you have all of that,
teleport back to Paseo.

Paseo:

By now the final member will knock on the door at Rolf's house. This is Shir,
a thief. Like the wind, she comes and goes as she pleases. Shir as a fighter
is terrible, but Shir as a thief is excellent. This may be a good time to have
her five-finger discount everything you need. Put her in the party with Amy,
leaving Rudo behind.

First, before leveling her up any, let's do some stealing. First from the
Weapon Shop. Go in and exit. Keep doing this until she steals something, then
return to Rolf's home and she'll be there with the item she stole. Have her
steal a pair of Fire Staves for Amy and a Laser Shot to give to Kain. Also,
steal her a pair of Laser Knives for the time being.

At the Armory, steal a Jewel Crown for Amy and Anna. You really don't have to,
as the Jewel Crown only raises their defense a point compared to the Titanium
Gear. If you want to steal Star Mist and Moon Dews from the Tool Shop, go
ahead, but it is optional.

Now, with her equipped with two Laser Knives, head over to Nido.

Nido:

Like you did with Amy, try to level up Shir to Level 10. Yes, it will take a
while, but trust me, it is well worth it. Go to the 3rd floor if you have to.
Once she is at level 7 or 8, you can take her somewhere else. Just get her to
level 10, then return to Paseo.

Paseo:

Go into the Central Tower and to the Room. Exit the room now. If Shir is gone,
go home and find her with the Visiphone, if not, keep trying. Make SURE you
get the Visiphone. With this item, you can save your game from ANYWHERE you
want to. Now head to Piata.

Piata:

You should have a lot more money by now with all the fighting and stealing and
selling of stolen items. Now you can buy the Ceramic Cape, Armor, and Chest
for Amy, Rudo, and Rolf. If you don't have the money again, fight around until
you do get it. Trust me, this armor will be important to you. Once you have
them, warp to Zema.

Zema:

Buy Rolf and Amy each some Boots for their feet. It only raises agility and
defense a bit, but it's worth it. Now head to Kueri.

Kueri:

At the southern part of town is a house surrounded by a wall. Go to the western
part of town and go south. Hug the wall just before the exit and go east. Now
enter the house. The guy inside says that he is inventing a new type of gum
and asks if you know what Maruera Leaves are. Say no and he'll tell you that
there is a Maruera Tree on an island in the sea which he needs to make a gum
that will allow you to breathe underwater. Exit.

Mota:

Head west from town to the coast. The Jet Scooter should be parked there. Enter
it and head directly west. Get off there and enter the mountains there.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i. Uzo, Dos, Tres
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uzo - Recommended Level: 14
Treasures: Maruera Leaf

This island is extremely painful, both physically and mentally. You have to
find the Maruera Tree, but there are 6 fake trees and one real one. And the
worst part is there is NO way to tell the difference. This is a confusing
level, so don't get discouraged. Also, the monsters here will be very tough.

OK, from the beginning now. Head right and go up the stairs, then left and go
up those stairs. Go up to the next stairs, then left and down those stairs.
Go left to the next stairs and go up them, then left all the way and down
those ones. Go right and down the stairs, then left and down the stairs.
Finally, go right and up the stairs, then left and enter the door.

You should now be by a little lake with a waterfall. Go up the stairs to the
right, then right again and up those stairs. Go right and take the stairs
going down, then right again and go down the stairs. Go right and through the
door.

Now head left and up the stairs. Search the tree there and you'll get the
Maruera Leaf. Once you have it, get out of there fast.

Mota:

Board the Jet Scooter and head east back to Kueri.

Kueri:

Heal up and then take the Maruera Leaf to the inventor to get the Maruera Gum.
Now your mission is almost complete, but first, teleport to Piata.

Piata:

By now, you may have noticed that Rudo's attacks are starting to do less
damage, especially against higher defensive monsters. The Laser Knives while
good, won't be as effective in the upcoming battles. Buy Rudo a Pulse Cannon
here. His defense may drop a bit, but now he will do close to 50 HP of damage
per turn no matter who he is shooting down. Now head to Uzo again.

Uzo:

I recommend fighting around until Rolf at least gets to level 16. By 16 he
will learn GiRes which will really help your team out, and by then Amy will
learn SaShu and NaRes. When you are done, head to Paseo.

Paseo:

Buy about 6 Dimates for everybody. This journey will be long and hard. Save
and exit.

Mota:

Walk north to the coast where the Jet Scooter is. Head directly west until
you come to a white-ish spot in the water. Get close to it and use the Maruera
Gum and you will dive underwater.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
j. Nei's Sister?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Climatrol - Recommended Level: 16
F3 Treasures: Jewel Ribbon
F4 Treasures: Fiber Vest
F6 Treasures: Knife Boots, Silver Ribbon
F7 Treasures: Laser Bar, Sandals, Ceramic Bar

Climatrol Underwater:

Your first step is underwater. Don't worry, the gum allows you to breath and
even cast fire underwater. Just beware of the most powerful monsters in this
part of the game.

From where you came in, go left and go down through the damaged floors on the
left side. Go down and left past some more damaged floors then up and left
past the next part of damaged floors. Take the path going up then go right
and down. Take the path going down and left and there will be some stairs
leading inside.

Climatrol F1:

Now that you are inside and starting to dry off, you can fully explore the
inside. Go down from where you came in, then left all the way, down all the
way, then left all the way to the chute.

Climatrol F2:

Just go right to the next chute.

Climatrol F3:

Go down and left to get a Jewel Ribbon. To the top of this small room is a
chute.

Climatrol F4:

Go to either side of the chute and down. Grab the Fiber Vest and take the
chute.

Climatrol F5:

Now is when things really get confusing, but it is a good chance to find some
more items and level up a bit. You are in the center now. Go down and right
and down to the wall. Go right and take the first chute you see.

Climatrol F6:

Go up and left to the chute by the pit.

Climatrol F7:

Just go up to the chute leading down.

Climatrol F6:

Go right and hug the wall. Pick up the Knife Boots that are there, but hang
onto them, as they can be given to Anna later. Now go back left and pass the
chute you came in. Take the next chute.

Climatrol F7:

Go right past the chute and then down to find a Laser Bar. Go back to the chute
you came from.

Climatrol F6:

Go back to the treasure chest you opened with the Knife Boots, then fall down
the pit.

Climatrol F5:

You will now be in the upper-right part of this floor. Go right to the wall
and up to the chute in the corner.

Climatrol F6:

Go down to the pit then left to the chute.

Climatrol F7:

Go down a little ways for a chest with some Sandals. Go back to the chute you
came from.

Climatrol F6:

Go down the pit again.

Climatrol F5:

Go to the lower-left side of this room and take the chute in the far corner.

Climatrol F6:

Go right a bit to the chute, but don't take it. Go up and take that chute.

Climatrol F7:

Go directly left to get yourself a Ceramic Bar. Go back to the same chute.

Climatrol F6:

Go to the chute in the lower-left corner.

Climatrol F5:

Make your way to the center again. Now go up then left. When you see a few
pools of water, go up and take the chute there.

Climatrol F6:

Go right to the very close-by chute.

Climatrol F7:

Go down, right a bit, then down again to another chute.

Climatrol F6:

Go left to get a Silver Ribbon. Now go back right but don't take the chute.
Follow around and down to the next chute.

Climatrol F7:

Go all the way to the left and take that chute.

Climatrol F8:

Make sure that Nei IS alive right now. Go right until you reach a wall, then
go up. Take the 2nd path going right and follow until you see a person who
looks almost like Nei. Use Dimates to fully heal and use your Visiphone to
save your game. When you are set, talk to her. She is Neifirst, an experiment
that combines humans with animals and is the first of an entire race of Numans.
She says that humans tried to kill her but she escaped, took some DNA and made
Bio-monsters from here, which is where all the energy has been going to. She
then says one thing; that there is another Nei who is trying to stop her. Nei
says that she separated from Neifirst because it was terrible. Neifirst
challenges Nei. If you say no, you can have a chance to heal and save, but
once you say Yes, it's on.

Boss: Neifirst
HP:   1100

You first start out fighting Neifirst with just Nei. Don't bother with this
too much, as Neifirst will be too powerful for Nei to handle alone.

Once Nei is defeated, Rolf will tell her to hang on, but Nei says to not let
them repeat the same mistake as she dies. Rolf lays her down and then gets
mad. Now the real fight begins.

If you do happen to have Nei defeat Neifirst, Nei will die anyway, as the two
of them are one and the same. But chances are, that won't happen, even if Nei
is at level 50.

Boss: Neifirst
HP:   1100

With 3 people, this is pretty easy. If you happen to have stolen a Moon Dew,
you can use it on Nei to bring her back to life for this fight. But, save the
Moon Dew, this battle is just as easy without it.

First off, have Amy cast Deban while Rolf uses NaFoi. Rudo should attack.
Neifirst will probably do around 70 HP of damage with her sword and 30 HP of
damage to everyone with her claws. Deban however will drop those numbers down
by about half, making this fight a LOT easier. When Rolf runs out of TP for
NaFoi, have him attack. Have Amy heal with NaRes when needed and attack
otherwise. If she has 2 Fire Staves, she will do about 60 HP of damage per
round. After a rather short fight, Neifirst will die.

And so will Nei for good this time. If you revived her, she will die anyway.
But now, with nobody controlling the system, the energy will overflow and
pour into the lake surrounding Paseo and Zema. This normally wouldn't be a
problem, but the Dams are locked up and the water could flood all of Mota. In
the words of Urkel "Look what you did."

Rolf decides to retreat back to Paseo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
k. Save the world!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paseo:

Rolf tries to take Nei to the Clone Lab, but Nei cannot be brought back to
life (though funny, she was easily brought back if she died before). Anyway,
Nei is now gone for good as Rolf goes to see the Commander. He says that if
someone could open the Dams, the water would be released. Rolf volunteers to
do so, but the Commander says that Rolf is now a wanted criminal under the
orders of the planet Palm for making Mother Brain go crazy. Security robots
have been sent to find and capture Rolf and his companions. Rolf then
convinces the Commander to let him go.

OK, now you have to deal with a LOT of robots, and with Nei gone, you are one
person short. Go to Rolf's home and reorganize. Now, with nothing but Robots
for the next while, who would you take? Your choices are Rudo, Amy, Hugh,
Anna, Kain, and Shir. Well, Rudo and Amy are definite MUST HAVES, so that
leaves the others. Hugh is terrible against Robots. Shir is very weak. Anna is
strong, but bladed weapons won't do a whole lot here. That leaves Kain. Take
Kain ALONE with Rolf for now. Give him the Laser Shot you stole then warp to
Piata.

Piata:

Buy Kain a Ceramic Armor here then head to Zema.

Zema:

Buy Kain some Boots and a Titanium Gear. Head back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Rest and save up. Then head outside.

Mota:

Fight around Paseo. The robots that attack will be tough, so keep Kain alive.
Kain will deal a decent amount of damage with the Laser Shot, though Rudo will
deal more. With only two people fighting, you will get tons of experience.
Fight around and level Kain up to 14. Once he is there, head back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Go to Rolf's house and get back Rudo and Amy. Heal at the Hospital and go to
the Storage Room. Drop off the Knife Boots and the Maruera Gum. Once you have
that, save and head over to Oputa (I recommend walking).

Oputa:

Head up to the Weaponry but don't enter it. Instead, go down below the trees
and hug them going left. There is a house all alone that belongs to a musician
named Ustvestia. This is basically the sound-test of the game, but there is
also one more use for this guy. When he asks if you want to hear him play, say
no and he'll offer to teach anybody how to play the piano. Don't let him teach
any girl how to play, as he's a sexist man and charges much more to teach them.
Have him teach Rolf for 2000 Meseta and Rolf will learn the Musik Technique.
This will come in handy where you are going. Now teleport to Piata.

Piata:

Make sure you're fully healed here. Go to the north part of town and follow the
road to the left. There should be a little garden in the 4 corners of this
little area. Go down and hug the water. Follow and you'll see some destroyed
houses. Keep going left and you'll see 3 towers. The middle one can be entered,
so enter it.

Control Tower - Recommended Level: 18
F2 Treasures: Red Card, Yellow Card, Blue Card, Green Card

Control Tower F1:

This level is extremely confusing, but not too hard. From the entrance, go
up and left. Keep going up now and then right. There should be a path down
the middle to the upper part of this floor. Take it and go all the way left.
Take the 4th chute from the right.

Control Tower F2:

Go all the way to the bottom, avoiding those chutes. Hang left and take that
chute.

Control Tower F1:

Go down to the chute.

Control Tower F2:

Go right to the chute.

Control Tower F1:

Go right to the next chute.

Control Tower F2:

Go right to this chute.

Control Tower F1:

Go up and right all the way, then down to the chute.

Control Tower F2:

Take the chute just to the right of the one you came from.

Control Tower F1:

Go up to the next chute.

Go right around the pit and up to the middle. You'll see a Piano there. Do NOT
touch it or else you will be sent back outside the tower. Use the Musik
technique and it will open a door. Go down and around to the top and search
the 4 slots for a Green Card, a Blue Card, a Yellow Card, and a Red Card. Now
you can exit.

Piata:

Heal up. I highly recommend that you go back to the Control Tower and fight a
bit just to gain the extra experience. By this time money doesn't mean a whole
lot, but experience will make all the difference. I recommend leveling Rolf up
to Level 19. When that happens, warp to Zema.

Zema:

Rest up here and buy a few Dimates, then head out.

Mota:

Walk through the bridge and go south. Cross the footbridge and board the Jet
Scooter. Go up the big gap right beside where the Scooter was parked. You will
soon enter the Red Dam.

Red Dam - Recommended Level: 19
F1 Treasures: Sword of Ango
F2 Treasures: Fire Staff, Fire Slasher

Red Dam F1:

This is the smallest of the 4 dams that you have to open, so it is highly
recommended that you start here. Go up to the door and use the Red Card to
open it. Now that you are in, the robots here aren't much more powerful than
they were in the Control Tower. Anyway, take the chute in the upper-left
corner.

Red Dam B1:

Go down past the wall on the left and then go left. Take the chute.

Red Dam F1:

Go down and right to the chute going up.

Red Dam F2:

Grab the Fire Slasher in the chest, then go back down.

Red Dam F1:

Go left and take the chute in the lower-left corner.

Red Dam B1:

Go up to the wall at the top then right. Take that chute.

Red Dam F1:

Head left and take the chute in the upper-left corner.

Red Dam F2:

Go down past the pit then right. Walk past all of the pits and just before the
wall, go down and right to a chest with a Fire Staff. If Amy doesn't already
have them, equip it on her. Go back up and right to the chute.

Red Dam F1:

Go down and right to the next chute.

Red Dam B1:

Go up a bit and you should come to a chest with the Sword of Ango to the left.
Grab it, but don't equip it yet. The sword has no defense, so equipping it is
suicide at this point. Go down and to the left. Make your way around up and
right to the chute in the upper-right corner.

Red Dam F1:

Go left and down and take that chute.

Red Dam F2:

Go to the right a bit past the pit to the giant computer. Go to the slot and
insert the Red Card. The Dam will open and you will lose the card. Exit.

Mota:

Now you will notice that the gap is nothing but a dried up river, but now there
is water in it and other small rivers. Make your way to Kueri.

Kueri:

Rest up here and buy some more Dimates if you've already used them up. Exit
the town.

Mota:

Head west to the coast and board the Jet Scooter. Hug the coast going north
and go east inside the empty river over to the Yellow Dam.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
l. Yellow and Blue make Green
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yellow Dam - Recommended Level: 19
F2 Treasures: Escapipe
F3 Treasures: Crystanish, Crystal Cape, Crystal Chest
F4 Treasures: Amber Robe

Yellow Dam F1:

Robots here will be even tougher than before, but still not too bad. This dam
is actually less complicated than the Red Dam. Open the door with the Yellow
Card and enter. Head all the way to the right and take the upper chute of the
two located close to each other.

Yellow Dam F2:

Go left and up to the top wall. Go left again but ignore the first chute. Take
the 2nd chute.

Yellow Dam F3:

Go left to the chest with the Crystanish. Equip it on Kain and then go back
down.

Yellow Dam F2:

Go back to the 1st floor from the chute you came from before.

Yellow Dam F1:

Take the chute just below where you are now.

Yellow Dam F2:

Go down and grab the chest with an Escapipe. From there, go left and up. Take
the chute there.

Yellow Dam F1:

Go left to the next chute.

Yellow Dam F2:

Make your way up and left and take that chute there.

Yellow Dam F3:

Go directly down to the chute going up.

Yellow Dam F4:

Go up and follow until you're out of the little spiral section. Go up to the
top and then right. Grab the Amber Robe in this chest. Whatever you do, do
NOT sell this item. Give it to Kain for now, as this is one of the very useful
GiRes items that will save your rear many times during battle. Once you have
it, go back down and take the chute at the bottom.

Yellow Dam F3:

Grab the nearby Crystal Cape and give it to Amy, then go back up the chute.

Yellow Dam F4:

Go right from this chute and take the chute you see.

Yellow Dam F3:

Grab the Crystal Chest in the treasure chest. Give it to Rolf. NOW you can
equip the Sword of Ango. Though you'll end up with a lower defense than you
started with, 4 points won't make much of a difference, but 16 on the attack
will. Go back up the chute.

Yellow Dam F4:

Go all the way to the right wall, then go up. Go left and down and follow the
spiral path to the center. Take that chute.

Yellow Dam F3:

Go to the nearby computer and put the Yellow Card in the slot. The dam will
open and you are now free to leave.

Mota:

Head back to Kueri.

Kueri:

Heal there and stock up on Dimates again, then exit.

Mota:

Head west to the Jet Scooter again. Go back up towards the Yellow Dam's river,
but this time go DIRECTLY west. This will take you to the Blue Dam.

Blue Dam - Recommended Level: 20
F2 Treasures: Crescent Gear, Antidote
F3 Treasures: Snow Crown, Wind Scarf
F4 Treasures: Trimate, Color Scarf
F5 Treasures: Storm Gear

Blue Dam F1:

The robots really start to get harder now. Now would be a good time to make
use of Kain's NaGaj technique.

As usual, go up to the door and use the Blue Card to enter. Go around the
door to the left and down. Take that chute.

Blue Dam F2:

Go up and grab the Antidote, then go back down the chute.

Blue Dam F1:

Go left and up. Take the chute near the upper part of the level.

Blue Dam F2:

Go down a bit and right. Take that chute now.

Blue Dam F3:

Go left and down, left again, then up all the way to the top. Take the chute
in the upper-right corner.

Blue Dam F2:

Go left and down to the chest sitting there. Inside is a Crescent Gear, another
handy GiRes item. Give it to Rudo. It has the same power as the Titanium Gear,
but it can cast GiRes on himself when used as an item, much like the Amber
Robe. Go back to the chute you came from.

Blue Dam F3:

Go down a bit and left to that chute.

Blue Dam F4:

The only place to go is right, so go right to the next chute.

Blue Dam F5:

Go right a bit and down. Grab the Storm Gear in the chest and give it to Kain.
Here's a hint: have Kain use the Storm Gear all the time in battle. He'll do
a bit more damage to all monsters with it and that leaves him free to equip a
Shield or two. Take the chute below it.

Blue Dam F4:

Grab the Color Scarf in the chest to the right. Hang onto this item for Anna.
Fall down the pit RIGHT below the chest.

Blue Dam F3:

Grab the nearby Snow Crown and give it to Amy. This will cast Deban when used
as an item, so use it at the beginning of a fight to give you an added edge in
battle. Now go back up the chute.

Blue Dam F2:

Go left until you see a chute. Take it.

Blue Dam F1:

Go up until you pass a wall, then go left a bit then down. Go all the way down
then hang a right near the end. Take the chute at the bottom of the floor.

Blue Dam F2:

Go up and take the chute on the right.

Blue Dam F3:

Go left and grab the Wind Scarf in the chest. Take the chute back down.

Blue Dam F2:

Go left all the way then up. Take that chute.

Blue Dam F3:

Go up all the way and take the chute to the left.

Blue Dam F4:

Go down and then to the right. Watch out for the pit and take the chute.

Blue Dam F3:

Go down to the chute.

Blue Dam F4:

You will now be pretty close to the computer except for the fact that it is
surrounded by a pit. Go down and left and grab the Trimate in the chest. From
there go all the way right and then up and left to the next chute.

Blue Dam F5:

Go down all the way then left. Just follow the path given and take the chute.

Blue Dam F4:

Go straight down and take the chute.

Blue Dam F3:

Grab the Star Mist to the left. Go back up the chute.

Blue Dam F4:

Go left to the next chute.

Blue Dam F5:

Go up until you see a pit. You have to fall down this pit to get to the
computer. Any part of the pit will do, but watch your step when you land.

Blue Dam F4:

Enter the Blue Card into the slot and the Blue Dam will open. Now get out of
there.

Mota:

Head back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Rest up here and stock up on some Dimate. If you have any items for Anna, put
them in storage (the Fire Slasher, Knife Boots from Climatrol, and the Color
Scarf). Save here and get ready for the final Dam. Exit to Mota.

Mota:

Go north from Paseo past the footbridge to the coast. Board the Jet Scooter
and take the dried up river just to the west down to the Green Dam.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
m. Green means go... to Gaila
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Green Dam - Recommended Level: 21
F1 Treasures: Telepipe, Star Mist, Aegis
F2 Treasures: Truth Sleeves, Green Sleeves

Green Dam F1:

There are only two floors in this dam, but this is by FAR the hardest of all
4 dams. The monsters are very hard and there are so MANY chutes to make this
very confusing. Open the door with the Green Card and go down to the chute.

Green Dam F2:

Go up a bit then left. Take the chute by the pool of water.

Green Dam F1:

Go directly left to the next chute.

Green Dam F2:

Grab the Truth Sleeves in the chest nearby and give them to Rolf. He can't
equip them, but the Truth Sleeves cast GiRes on command, so it's well worth
keeping. Now go left and up to the chute in the upper-right corner.

Green Dam F1:

Go directly left to the chute.

Green Dam F2:

Before going around the outside of the dam, go left and down. At the bottom
right-hand corner of this area there is a chute. Take it.

Green Dam F1:

Go right and up. Circle around and grab the Telepipe in the chest. Go back to
that chute.

Green Dam F2:

Go back to the chute you came from before. Don't enter it though. To the left
is a small path that leads outside the parameter of the dam. Follow that to
the other side and when you enter the inner part of the dam again, go right a
bit and take the chute.

Green Dam F1:

Go right past the pools and then down all the way. Grab the Aegis in the chest
and give it to Amy. This is the last of the GiRes items, and now everybody
should have one. Go back up to the chute.

Green Dam F2:

Go left all the way to the end then down. Before you take the chutes, go right
and up. Grab the Green Sleeves in the chest. Go back and take the chute on the
right.

Green Dam F1:

Go up to the top and grab the Star Mist, then head back down to the chute.

Green Dam F2:

Now go left and take the chute nearby.

Green Dam F1:

Go left past the pools and down to the chute in the corner.

Green Dam F2:

Go left and you will find the computer to this dam. Heal a bit then take and
insert the Green Card into the slot. Finally, the dams are open and you have
saved Mota... but who is gonna save you?

Boss: Army Eye x3
HP:   3000

This is one boss fight you won't be able to win. No matter which dam you
finish last, the Army Eyes will show up. Don't even try to win this fight,
because if you do manage to defeat them, the game will basically no longer
be able to continue. Just fight them for 3 rounds and at the beginning of the
4th round, they will trap you in plasma rings.

Gaila:

Well, it's hopeless now. You're in outer-space sentenced to death for nearly
destroying Mother Brain. Your items have been taken and you are in nothing but
Prison Clothes. Rolf says that he doesn't want to die here without knowing
who is trying to destroy Mota by using Mother Brain. You are free to move,
but you cannot fight. Just run from the battles. The robots shouldn't be
strong enough to kill you.

Watch out for the damage floors on the ground. To escape from here, go up and
take the first right you come to. Follow down and right, then go up. Go right
and then at the end, go down. Follow left and down, then go right for a while,
then up. Take the path going right and go down to search the computer. You
will find out that the satellite Gaila is heading on a crash-course with the
planet Palm. Before you know it, Gaila will crash into the planet with you all
on board...

..

But... Rolf has that dream again. Once you awaken, you will be greeted by
Tyler, a space pirate. He hated living under Mother Brain so he decided to
leave Palm. He was close to Gaila when it crashed and therefore was able to
get Rolf's and his team and revive them. He says that Palm was destroyed by the
crash and will take you back to Paseo. He recommends that Rolf and his party
now go to Dezo to find a man who "can do things the Mother Brain can't".

Paseo:

Rolf will head straight for the Central Tower and the Commander will allow
Rolf to use the Spaceship on the roof of the Tower. But before you do that,
have Kain give his Amber Robe to Rolf for right now and the Storm Gear to
Amy and the Crystanish to Rudo. This will help them. Go to Rolf's house and
pick up Anna, and ONLY Anna. Go to the Storage Room and give her the Fire
Slasher, the Knife Boots, and the Color Scarf. Also give her the Amber Robe.
Then warp to Piata.

Piata:

Buy Anna a Ceramic Cape for the time being, then warp to Kueri.

Kueri:

Buy Anna a Laser Slasher. Equip her with everything you got for her, then
head outside to Mota.

Mota:

Robots will still roam Mota looking for Rolf, so this is a good time to level
up Anna. Take your time and level her up to about 17 and Rolf up to 23. By
this time, Anna will be quite fast and will most likely get the first shot
off with her Slashers. Go back to Paseo.

Paseo:

Get Rudo and Amy back on the team. Stock up on some more Dimate for everyone
and head to the Central Tower, then to the Roof. Now you will fly to Dezo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
n. Four Ways to go
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skure - Recommended Level: 23
B1 Treasures: Magic Cap, 8600 Meseta, Guardian Boots, 6400 Meseta,
             12,000 Meseta
B2 Treasures: Mogic Cap, Magic Cap, 5600 Meseta, Laconian Chest, 7800 Meseta,
             18,000 Meseta, 15,000 Meseta

Skure F1:

Now comes the hard part. Dezo has the worst of both monsters and robots. Magic
should easily wipe out the robots while the monsters can be handled easily
with weapons.

There are four possible exits to this place, but for now, only 3 of them are
important. From the entrance, go up to the top then right. Take the first set
of stairs you see.

Skure B1:

Go to the crossing and go up. Grab the Magic Cap there. Don't equip it yet.
For now, go straight down to the next set of stairs.

Skure B2:

Go up and you'll see a group of 6 chests. 3 of them have newspapers in them,
while the others have a Mogic Cap (very important), another Magic Cap, and
5600 Meseta. Go right a bit and take the first path going down. Grab the
Laconian Chest that is there and give it to Rolf. Go back up and then right.
Go down at the fork and take the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go down until you find the chest with 6400 Meseta. Grab it and go back up and
take the first set of stairs you find.

Skure B2:

Follow the only path given to you right now.

Skure B1:

Go up and take a right at the top. Grab the Guardian Boots on the way and give
them to Rolf. Go right and take the stairs to Dezo.

Dezo:

Go right all the way and then up. You will soon reach the town of Zosa.

Zosa:

Equip the Mogic Cap on Rolf (if you equip the Magic Cap while in town, the
prices of items in the shops will double). First, get some new weapons because
the monsters are tougher now. Anna a pair of AC Slashers. Now buy Anna and a
Laconian Cape, then Rudo a Laconinish and Laconian Helmet. It is expensive,
but around Dezo is the perfect place to fight for experience and money. Just
make sure you don't sell any of your GiRes items while here. Exit and head back
down to Skure. Make sure you re-equip the Titanium Gear on Rolf.

Skure B1:

Follow down until you find the chest where you got the Guardian Boots. Go down
and left all the way, then up. Take those stairs.

Skure B2:

Go right and down a bit. Grab the chest of 15,000 Meseta on the side and keep
going down. Take the path going left and take the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go down and take those stairs to Dezo.

Dezo:

Go down and around the mountains to the right. Keep going right until you find
the town of Ryuon.

Ryuon:

Equip the Mogic Cap again. Buy Rolf a Laconian Sword and Rudo some Guardian
Boots. Heal up and exit back to Skure again. Re-equip the Titanium Gear.

Skure B1:

Go left and take that set of stairs.

Skure B2:

Just follow the path to the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go left and then down to those stairs.

Skure B2:

Go up and left. Go down to get a chest for 18,000 big ones! Go back up and
left to the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go left and down. Grab the 12,000 Meseta from the chest. Go back up and past
the stairs you came from. At the crossing, go left and down the stairs.

Skure B2:

Follow the path to the next set of stairs.

Skure B1:

Go down and take the first set of stairs.

Skure F1:

Go down, right, up, right, up, right, and then down and you should be at the
spaceport. Enter it and fly back to Paseo.

Paseo:

This is just temporary. Drop off the two Magic Caps in the Storage Room as
you will NOT need them. Heal and head back to the roof and fly to Skure again.

Skure F1:

Go up to the top again then left and take the first stairs you come to.

Skure B1:

Go all the way to the left and take the stairs.

Skure B2:

Go left and down for a chest with 7800 Meseta in it. Go back up the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go right and down the first chance you get to the stairs.

Skure B2:

Follow up and right to the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go left a bit and down for a chest with 8600 Meseta. Go back up and left to
the stairs leading to Dezo.

Dezo:

Go directly north and then east to the town of Aukba.

Aukba:

Equip the Mogic Cap. Buy Rudo a Pulse Cannon and Amy some Hirza Boots. Heal up
here and save. Level Rolf up to Level 24 outside and heal again. Exit Aukba.

Dezo:

Now to find that man that Tyler talked about. From Aukba go west then south
along the mountains. To your west near the south part of the mountains should
be a hole with a little stairway for an entrance. This is the Crevice. Enter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o. The crack and the Nei Items
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crevice - Recommended Level: 24

Crevice B1:

There should only be monsters from this point on unless you fight on the Dezo
surface. The monsters can be tough, but nothing you can't handle. From the
entrance, go left all the way, past the pit to the wall. Go up and right. Take
the stairs.

Crevice B2:

Go down and left. Follow the only path given and ignore the stairs going up.
Continue on and there should be a set of stairs going down. Take them.

Crevice B3:

Go left, up, and right and take those stairs.

Crevice B2:

Go down and at the bottom, there are some stairs to the left. Take them.

Crevice B1:

Go up, left, and down to the stairs there.

Dezo:

Go west a little ways and enter the Esper Mansion.

Esper Mansion:

Talk to the men guarding the entrance. Somehow, they know who you are and let
you in. All the Espers there talk about "The Man" and how he would awaken when
Rolf would come. Go down the stairs and talk to the Esper on the left. After
he says his piece, "The Man" awakens from his sleep.

This man is Lutz, the guardian of Algo and the last telemental. He lets Rolf
in on a little secret that they have once met before this. Lutz was the one
who saved Rolf from the space accident that killed Rolf's parents when he was
10 years old. Then he lets Rolf in on another secret: Rolf is the last
descendant of Alis (the heroine from Phantasy Star). He says to take the Aero
Prism and find Nei's Weapons. Once he is done talking, open the chest to the
left and take the Prism from it. Now you can clearly see everything in Dezo.
Exit and make your way back to Aukba.

Aukba:

Teleport to Ryuon to buy some Trimate. Trust me, you will need this powerful
medicine. warp back to Aukba and rest and save. Now get ready for the final
dungeons.

Dezo:

Head west from Aukba and you will now see a temple. This is the first place
you have to go. Don't forget to re-equip the Titanium Gear.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
p. Armor of Menobe and Guaron
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Menobe - Recommended Level: 24
F1 Treasures: Nei Crown
F2 Treasures: Storm Gear
F3 Treasures: Nei Helmet, Color Scarf

Menobe F1:

Monsters start to become really powerful here, so don't be surprised if you
have to retreat back to town a few times. Anyway, we can get the Nei Crown
relatively easy. From the entrance, go straight up to a wall, then go left
and up. Take those stairs.

Menobe F2:

Go down to the bottom then left. Grab the Storm Gear, then head back to the
stairs you came from.

Menobe F1:

Go right and take the stairs on the right side.

Menobe F2:

Make your way all the way to the bottom, right, then all the way back to the
top. Hang left a bit and then go down. Ignore those stairs going up. Now here
is a little secret. You see below the stairs is a line of two statues, then
below it is another line of two? To the right of the upper set of two is a
small space between the wall. Go down it and then left and you will now be on
the lower side of the statues (I knew wall-hugging would come in handy). Hug
the statues and go up. Take the set of stairs leading down.

Menobe F1:

Go down and left a bit to receive the Nei Crown. Give it to Amy and watch her
defense power skyrocket. Head back up those stairs.

Menobe F2:

Go down a bit and take the stairs going up.

Menobe F3:

Go up to the next set of stairs going up.

Menobe F4:

Go left and down a bit, then right to the next set of stairs.

Menobe F3:

Go left and down and grab the Color Scarf from the chest. Go right and take
the stairs going down.

Menobe F2:

Go down and right. Head back up to the upper part and take the stairs back to
the first floor.

Menobe F1:

Go up and left a bit, then down to the center set of stairs. Take them.

Menobe F2:

Go up to the top, then start going left all the way. Go down to the line of
statues, then head right. Ignore the first set of stairs going up, and head
up to the wall. Take those stairs.

Menobe F3:

Go up and make your way ALL the way to the right side. Head down and enter the
room on the left. Go up and take the stairs that is surrounded by statues.

Menobe F4:

Go right a bit then down. Just follow the entire path to the left, up, left,
and down. When you reach the 'left' side of the top floor, take the first path
going left you come to, then go down. Take those stairs.

Menobe F3:

Grab the Nei Helmet in the chest and give it to Rolf (much better than that
weak Titanium Gear, eh?). Now that you have all the items, you can get out of
here and head back to Aukba and put on the Mogic Cap.

Aukba:

Heal up here. It's probably a general rule of thumb that you have Rolf level
up 3 times per dungeon at least. The experience in these dungeons are outright
high, so take your time and explore Menobe again until Rolf is at level 27. The
best way to do that is to fight on the 2nd floor. Once you are set, warp to
Ryuon.

Ryuon:

Rest and save here. Buy a few more Trimates and then head to Dezo:

Dezo:

Head west a bit and make your long trek north to the upper mountains. Go east
and enter the temple of Guaron. Make sure you have the Nei Helmet equipped
again.

Guaron - Recommended Level: 27
F1 Treasures: Laconinish, Amber Robe
F2 Treasures: Crystal Chest
F8 Treasures: Nei Cape
F9 Treasures: Crystal Cape
F16 Treasures: Nei Armor

Guaron F1:

This is probably the least complicated of the temples, but it's one of the
largest, as there are 16 floors! Besides, didn't this place used to be a
morgue (Phantasy Star reference here to the Guaron Morgue)? Anyway, from the
entrance head left all the way to the end and down to get the Laconinish. Go
back right to the entrance then up a bit. Once you enter the actual
temple, go right and around and you'll find a Amber Robe. Go back to the
entrance again and go up. Take the left by the statues and take the first path
going up. Go left and down and left again and you'll be outside the temple
again. Make your way left around the trees and then down. Take a right below
the trees and then at the end, go down and right. There should only be ONE
set of stairs to take, so take them.

Guaron F2:

Go right and up. Follow to the top then go right and then down. Take a right
and go down for a Crystal Chest. Go back to the stairs you came from, but
don't go down them. Instead, take the stairs on the other side of the pit.

Guaron F3-F7:

This is so repetitive that I just put the next 5 floors on one part. Make
your way to the other side of the pit and take the stairs... repeat 4 more
times.

Guaron F8:

To mark this floor you should see a couple of statues. Go left all the way
to the end and then down and right to the next wall. Go up and left to find
the Nei Cape. Give it to Amy. Go back to the stairs you came from and take the
stairs on the other side of the pit.

Guaron F9:

By now I'm sure you've run into Max Dragons and Firefalls. These monsters are
both extremely tough and can take a beating and give one back. Finish off
these monsters ASAP, as they can really put a hurting on you. From these
stairs, go right to the wall, then down to the bottom. Continue right to the
end and then go up to the trees. Take a left and grab the Crystal Cape. Go
back to the stairs and take the stairs going up.

Guaron F10-F15:

Again, another repetitive part. Just take the stairs on the other side of the
pit 5 times.

Guaron F16:

The monsters will be extremely dangerous here, so use caution. The Visiphone
may save you here. Go around either side and go up. Enter the room and grab
the Nei Armor in the chest. Give it to Rudo and get out of there and return
to Ryuon.

Ryuon:

Rest up at Ryuon. Again, level Rolf up about 3 times at Guaron until he gets
to Level 30. Stock up on Trimate and warp to Zosa.

Zosa:

Save up here and head to Dezo.

Dezo:

Head south and west a bit. Once in the clearing, head northwest until you find
a narrow passage to the west in the mountains. Take it and head north until
you find the temple of Ikuto. Make sure the Nei Helmet is equipped.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q. Ikuto: The Sanity Breaker
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ikuto - Recommended Level: 30
B2 Treasures: Laconian Dagger
B3 Treasures: Pulse Cannon
B4 Treasures: Laconian Mace, Fire Staff
B5 Treasures: Nei Shot, Nei Slasher

Ikuto F1:

This is THE hardest dungeon in ANY rpg to date (yes, even harder than Baya
Malay in the original Phantasy Star). The reason being? In order to advance
in Ikuto, you have to fall down a pit... but fall down the wrong pit and
you'll end up WAY at the bottom. This level is extremely frustrating. And to
make things worse, the monsters will be even TOUGHER than before. I will
try to help you find every treasure in this level the quickest way possible.

Anyway, take the middle of the 3 pits.

Ikuto B1:

Go straight down and take the middle pit.

Ikuto B2:

Up and to the right is the Laconian Dagger. Take the pit just to the
upper-left of it.

Ikuto B3:

Go left, down all the way, and left to get the Pulse Cannon. Go back up and
right and take the pit below where you landed.

Ikuto B6:

That pit will take you all the way to the bottom. Just go right a little bit
to the stairs.

Ikuto B5-B1:

Just take the nearby stairs going up to F1.

Ikuto F1:

Now you see what I mean? Take the middle pit again.

Ikuto B1:

Go down and take the pit on the left.

Ikuto B2:

Take one step left and fall down that pit.

Ikuto B3:

Go left and down and take that pit.

Ikuto B4:

Go left to the wall and ALL the way up to the top. Take that pit.

Ikuto B5:

Go left a little bit and take the Nei Shot from the chest. Give it to Rudo.
Take the pit to the left of it.

Ikuto B6:

Head all the way to the right and then down to the stairs.

Ikuto B5-B1:

Again, just take the stairs up to the top floor.

Ikuto F1:

Take the pit on the right.

Ikuto B1:

Go down and take the pit directly below where you land.

Ikuto B2:

Take the pit way over on the left.

Ikuto B3:

You should now see two pits. Take the left of the two.

Ikuto B4:

Head down and follow to a chest with a Fire Staff. Go back to where you landed
before and take the pit on the right.

Ikuto B6:

Just go right and take the stairs.

Ikuto B5-B1:

Not that tough by now. Take the stairs up to the top floor.

Ikuto F1:

Take the pit on the left side.

Ikuto B1:

Take the pit just below where you land.

Ikuto B2:

Take the pit on the left side.

Ikuto B3:

Go left a bit and then down. Take the pit that is NOT surrounded by statues.

Ikuto B4:

Go down all the way to a chest with a Laconian Mace. Go up and take the middle
of the 3 pits.

Ikuto B6:

Go right all the way then up to the stairs.

Ikuto B5-B1:

I swear this is the last time! Go up the stairs to the first floor.

Ikuto F1:

Take the pit on the left.

Ikuto B1:

Go directly down and take that pit.

Ikuto B2:

Take the pit on the far left.

Ikuto B3:

Go left and ignore the first two pits you see. Go all the way left and then
all the way up. Take that pit.

Ikuto B4:

Now for the long walk. Go up all the way, right, and then down. Take the pit
that is directly below the line of statues.

Ikuto B5:

Go down and go to the right of the statues. Continue going down and grab the
Nei Slasher from the chest. Equip it on Anna and spend some time leveling Rolf
up to level 33 if you can. Exit and warp back to Ryuon.

Ryuon:

If you used some Trimate, buy some more. Sell the items you don't need, heal,
and save. When you are ready, Teleport to Skure.

Skure F1:

You will now be at the spaceport part. Don't enter it as you will be taken
back to Mota. From here, go up and take the first left. Now go down and take
the 2nd left. Go down again and follow to the stairs.

Skure B1:

Go up to the stairs going down.

Skure B2:

Walk left to the next set of stairs.

Skure B1:

Go right and at the crossing go up.

Dezo:

Go south for a ways and then at near the southern mountains, go east until you
reach the temple of Naval.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
r. The Naval Base
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naval - Recommended Level: 33
F2 Treasures: Nei Shield, Nei Emel, Trimate, Truth Sleeves, Mirror Emel,
             Laconian Emel, Green Sleeves

Naval F1:

The monsters here are by far the toughest, but the dungeon is pretty easy and
straight-forward. Go to the middle of the left side and go right to enter the
tower itself. Now there are two places to go. You can either take the stairs
in the upper-left corner or the lower-right. Let's first go to the upper-left.

Naval F2-F4:

All this dungeon does is go in a circle in a counter-clockwise manner, but a
wall separates the two halves of the circle (the other half accessible by the
other stairs on the first floor). Just continue along in the only path you can
go until you reach the top floor.

Naval F5:

Now you are at the top. This is where the dungeon gets tricky. In order to get
the Nei Items, you have to fall down the pit three times successfully and land
on solid ground each time. First off, from the stairs, go right and up. Go
left onto the platform. Walk to the edge of the platform and go down, walking
into the pit.

Naval F4:

Walk down again into the pit.

Naval F3:

One more time, walk down.

Naval F2:

Grab the Mirror Emel, Laconian Emel, and Green Sleeves in the Chests there.
Now is a time when your defense is gonna be VERY important to you. Give Amy
the Laconian Emel and keep just one of her Fire Staves. Fall down the pit back
to the first floor.

Naval F1:

Now go down and take the stairs in the lower-right corner.

Naval F2-F4:

Again, just go in a counter-clockwise manner and you'll reach the top floor.

Naval F5:

From here, go left and down. Go right onto the platform almost all the way to
the end and then go up, falling into the pit.

Naval F4-F3:

Just go up and fall into the pit until you get to the 2nd floor.

Naval F2:

Only two chests here, a Trimate and Truth Sleeves. Fall down the pit to the
first floor.

Naval F1:

Only a couple more trips. Go up to the stairs in the upper-left corner.

Naval F2-F4:

Need I repeat these steps? Make your way to the top floor.

Naval F5:

Go up onto the platform and at the end of the platform, walk left and fall down
the pit.

Naval F4-F3:

Step left into the pit two more times.

Naval F2:

Grab the chest containing the Nei Emel. Give this powerful item to Anna to
go with her Nei Slasher. Fall down to the first floor.

Naval F1:

Take the stairs at the lower-right corner one more time.

Naval F2-F4:

Just make your way to the top. You really can't get lost.

Naval F5:

Now that you're at the top, go down to the platform's end, then step right.
Take the pit down.

Naval F4-F3:

Just keep stepping right into the pit.

Naval F2:

Grab the Nei Shield. Nobody can use it in this party unless you have Hugh or
Kain, so just hang onto it. Fall down the pit.

Naval F1:

Now take the time to level up Rolf to level 35. By this time, Rolf will know
the ultimate technique known to the Phantasy Star universe: Megid! This
technique will help you when you're in a jam so long as you use it wisely. Also
by now Amy should know NaSar, which will completely heal everyone's HP. When
you are ready, exit.

Dezo:

Make your way back to Skure and back to the spaceport to fly back to Mota.

Paseo:

OK, now it is time to prepare for the final battles. But before we do that,
bring out Shir again and have her steal from the Tool Shops. Keep stealing
until you have 8 Star Mists and 4 Moon Dews. Divide them up equally among Rolf,
Rudo, Amy, and Anna. Also make sure that everybody has ONE GiRes item.

Here is a suggested list of items I have for everybody:

Rolf: Laconian Sword, Laconian Chest, Guardian Boots, Nei Helmet, Mogic Cap,
Truth Sleeves, Visiphone, Star Mist x2, Moon Dew, Trimate x7

Rudo: Nei Shot, Nei Armor, Laconian Helmet, Guardian Boots, Nei Shield,
Crescent Gear, Prism, Star Mist x2, Moon Dew, Trimate x8

Amy: Fire Staff, Laconian Emel, Nei Cape, Nei Crown, Hirza Boots, Aegis,
Storm Gear, Star Mist x2, Moon Dew, Trimate x8

Anna: Nei Slasher, Nei Emel, Laconian Cape, Color Scarf, Knife Boots,
Amber Robe, Snow Crown, Star Mist x2, Moon Dew, Trimate x8

Anna's speed is gonna make the difference in the final battles, even if her
attack isn't exactly the highest with just one weapon. Rest up when you are
ready, then fly back to Skure and make your way back to Aukba.

Aukba:

Rest up here if you need it. Don't use any items just yet. Use your magic to
save up on your items. Make your way through the Crevice and to the Esper
Mansion again.

Esper Mansion:

Talk to Lutz with all the Nei items there and he will give you the Nei Sword,
Rolf's strongest weapon. He tells you that there is something behind Mother
Brain and will teleport you to the Spaceship Noah to do battle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
s. The Human Spaceship
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Noah - Recommended Level: 35
F1 Treasures: Dark Force

Noah F1:

This is the final dungeon in the game, and a pretty big one at that. The
monsters here are the strongest in the game, and the dungeon can be
complicated, but not impossible. If you find yourself low on HP, use the Nei
Sword as an item to warp back to the Esper Mansion to have Lutz heal you. Do
NOT use magic in this level just yet. If you find monsters, try to run from
them. A good trick to make it through without fighting monsters is to use the
Visiphone after every time you run. If you get trapped in a battle, just reset
and try again. Just don't fight a whole lot here if you can help it, as you
might need the Trimates.

Anyway, from the entrance, go right and up to the stairs.

Noah F2:

Go left to the stairs.

Noah F1:

Go left to the wall, then up and right to the far wall. Go up again and then
left. Take the stairs in the middle of the spaceship.

Noah F2:

Go up and take those stairs.

Noah F1:

Go left and down to the next set of stairs.

Noah F2:

Go up to the wall, then right all the way. Take the nearby stairs.

Noah F1:

Go up to those stairs.

Noah F2:

Make your way up, left, and down to the next set of stairs.

Noah F1:

Go up to those stairs.

Noah F2:

Go up again to the next flight of stairs.

Noah F1:

Head down and left to the wall. Go up and take the stairs at the top.

Noah F2:

Go left and down all the way to those stairs.

Noah F1:

Go left and up all the way. You should see a treasure chest here. Before you
open it, heal up completely and save through the Visiphone. When you are set,
open Pandora's Box!

Boss: Dark Force
HP:   2560

This is absolutely tough. Dark Force can possess any of your members to prevent
them from even moving. And to make things worse, Dark Force uses some powerful
attacks.

To start the battle off, have Anna use the Snow Crown, followed up by Rolf
casting Megid. Rudo should attack and Amy should use NaSar. If everything went
according to plan, everyone should have full HP again. If not, then don't cast
Megid again for a while. If Amy or Rolf is possessed by Dark Force, you may
have to wait and just attack or use Trimates to heal. If everyone is OK, have
Anna use Shift on Rolf and have Rolf use Megid again. Rudo should again attack
while Amy heals with NaSar or a Star Mist. Now have Rolf, Rudo, and Anna attack
while Amy stays back and heals. Make sure you have at least one person doing
the healing with Trimates or Techniques, or even a GiRes item if need be.

If people get possessed, after a while the Nei Sword will glow and everyone
will be back to normal. Just keep attacking and Dark Force will die, taking
the chest that blocked your way with him. By now you'll want to use the Nei
Sword and warp back to the Esper Mansion so that Lutz can heal you. After that,
make your way back to here.

Noah F1:

From where you fought Dark Force, go up to the top then right to the stairs.

Noah F2:

Go down a bit and left for a ways. Take the only path going up into the room
with Mother Brain. Say Yes when prompted to and Mother Brain will talk for a
bit. Answer No to her question and she will attack.

Boss: Mother Brain
HP:   2450

Mother Brain isn't nearly as tough as Dark Force, but she can still be pretty
tough if you don't know what you're doing. She can attack one member at a time
(which is rare) or use a powerful attack that can do massive damage to
everybody. But, even that, she can still be easy.

Have Anna start the fight by using the Snow Crown. Follow that up by Rolf
using Megid while Rudo attacks and Amy uses NaSar. If Mother Brain attacked
after Amy healed, have Anna use a Star Mist in the 2nd round, followed by
Rolf's Megid, Rudo's attack, and Amy's NaSar. Now it is time to attack smarter
than before. With Deban up from the Snow Crown, Mother Brain is putty in your
hands. Have Anna cast Shift on Rolf and have Rolf and Rudo attack. Amy should
attack unless she needs to use a Trimate or Star Mist on someone. Have Anna
attack on the 4th round onward unless she has to attack. Rudo and Rolf should
always attack unless taking time to use a GiRes item for themselves. Mother
Brain should be easier to kill than Dark Force.

After you kill the Mother Brain, you have freed Algo from the terror that
plagued it... or have you? Just as Rolf is about to leave, Lutz tells Rolf that
it isn't over yet and that there is still someone on board, saying that Rolf
cannot return to Noah if he leaves. Rolf goes up to investigate behind the
now destroyed Mother Brain. What he finds is several hundred men in capes with
one man leading them. The man talks and says that they were from the planet
Earth before it was destroyed. They then admit that they were the ones who
crashed Gaila into Palm. Lutz warps the other 3 members of the party to Noah
as the Earthlings all gang up and attack Rolf and his group.

Watch the ending and enjoy!

IX. Stealing
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the unique abilities in this game is the ability to have Shir steal
from shops. The only problem is that her stealing is totally random, and when
she does steal, what she steals is also random.

To have her steal, put Shir into your party and go into any shop. Exit that
shop. If Shir has stolen something, she will be gone. To find her, go to Rolf's
home in Paseo and the stolen item will be in her inventory.

If she doesn't leave, however, keep doing that. It may take many attempts
before she will steal. So don't get discouraged if she doesn't steal the first
time.

She will only steal 4 types of items from each shop, and she tends to steal
more common items. Below is a list of what she can steal.

Odds:    Weaponry:      Armory:         Tool Shop:
1 in 2   Dagger         Silver Crown    Trimate
1 in 4   Laser Shot     Jewel Crown     Hidapipe
1 in 5   Laser Knife    Green Sleeves   Star Mist
1 in 20  Fire Staff     Shune Boots     Moon Dew

There is also 1 very special item that Shir can steal only from the Central
Tower in Paseo. This item is the Visiphone, a very helpful item for this game.
Shir needs to be at level 10 though. To get it, enter the Central Tower in
Paseo and enter the Storage Room. If Shir is gone when you leave, head to
Rolf's home and she'll have the Visiphone. If she doesn't steal, just keep
trying.

Make a note here; NEVER take Shir to another town other than Paseo. The reason
being is because she can steal from any shop at any time. Imagine going to
Dezo with Shir, going to a shop in one of the towns, and then realizing that
she is gone. God only knows how she gets back to Mota, but you have to go ALL
the way back to get her.

X. Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. It is VERY important that you level up in this game. I don't know how many
times I've had to tell people to level up before heading to a place like Nido
or the Bio-systems Lab. A good way to make sure that you are at a good level is
to buy the best equipment money can buy before going to the place you have to
go to. In order to gain the money, you have to fight. By the time you get all
the items you can afford, you'll be powered up enough to survive easily through
your destination.

2. When you want to build up a specific character (usually Kain before heading
to the Dams and Anna before heading to Dezo), just take that character with
Rolf. You don't always have to take 4 characters with you, heck you don't have
to take any if you don't want to. You just have to cancel once you reorganize
at Rolf's home with the people you want.

3. The Visiphone is the single most important item that you can get in this
game. It will save you from having to restart the level when you die by
allowing you to save anywhere you want. Make sure that once you get Shir to
level her up to level 10 and then steal one.

4. During the later levels, monsters and robots will start to do heavy damage
on you. But, there is one trick that can be used to minimize the damage,
though it could be lengthy, it will save you a LOT. Give the Snow Crown to
Anna and the Storm Gear to Amy. Have Anna start the fight using the Snow Crown
while Amy always uses the Storm Gear. Anna's speed will always start the fight
with the Snow Crown while the Storm Gear casts GiZan on all enemies. Instead
of having the monsters damage you for 60 HP a shot, the damage will be a LOT
less with this method.
