2) INTRODUCTION
***********************************************************************
All right, I'm not here to tell you the story about Sakura Wars since
I'm sure if you're reading this right now you probably played this game
before and have some background knowledge. So the main purpose of this
faq is to help you open everything up in the "A long day in Paris"
section of the game. I'll try to explain everything from how to get
the high score in the mini games to how to open up all the pictures in
the gallery.
Note: You should at least complete Sakura Taisen 3 once before
accessing "A long day in Paris" and it is a good idea to have a save
file at the start of every episode so you can easily replay that
episode to get what you're missing.
***********************************************************************
3) MINI GAMES
***********************************************************************
In this section I'll tell you how to get the mini games for each
character and how to how to achieve the highest score.
i) Erica Fontaine - Machinegun Sister
****************************************
How to get it - Automatically in episode 8 (have to say yes)
Location - Erica's room (room above church)
Beating Requirement - 20,000 points
*Control*
D-pad - Move
Analog - Move
A - Shoot (can hold button down)
B - Reload
X - Special
Y - None
L/R - Shoot (can hold button down)
*Concept*
The main purpose of this game is to kill pawns (enemy robots) that are
passing by. These pawns vary in size and the larger ones take more
bullets to kill. Every now and then you'll hear a scream from Erica
indicating that she is being chased by some pawns. Your job is to kill
off those pawns without hitting Erica and you'll gain bonus points.
The game will end when a pawn touches you.
*Tips*
- Line enemy next to each other to cause chain explosion for extra
points
- Use special attack when there are lots of enemy onscreen to
recharge your special back to level 1
- Kill the red pawns first! They seem to come after you the most
often
- Save Erica! You'll get 500 points each time you save her
- Remember to RELOAD
ii) Glycine Bleumer - The Trace Walker
****************************************
How to get it - In episode 4 during the first free roam head to
the café and Glycine will ask if you want to play
her mini game (have to say yes)
Location - Glycine's room (left side of big mansion)
Beating Requirement - Complete 35 levels
*Control*
D-pad - Move
Analog - Move
A - none
B - Restart
X - none
Y - none
L/R - Change view
*Concept*
You start on a chessboard with 3 chess pieces labeling 1 to 3 and
Glycine labeling as 4. Your goal is to collect these things in
ascending order while walking through every possible space without over
lapping the space you walked. There will be a different blockade in
each level so you'll have to think of how to cover all the spaces and
getting all the pieces within 1 minute's time. The game will end when
the time reaches zero.
*Tips*
- Walking on a blue jewel will add extra 5 to 20 seconds
- Walking on a red jewel will subtract 5 to 20 seconds
- The red and blue jewel will occasionally change to their opposite
color so if you're standing next to a red jewel, wait till it
change blue then step on it
- Some walls can be broken down by stepping on a yellow button
iii) Coquelicot - Crazy Rally
******************************
How to get it - Automatically in episode 2 (have to say yes)
Location - Coquelicot's room (circus)
Beating Requirement - 25,000 points
*Control*
D-pad - none
Analog - none
A - Hits red birdie
B - Hits blue birdie
X - Hits yellow birdie
Y - Hits green birdie
L/R - none
*Concept*
By far the easiest mini game, your goal is to play a badminton game
with Coquelicot. She will throw a random color birdie at you and
you'll have to press the button corresponding to the color of the
birdie to return it. Hitting the birdie just before it hits the screen
will give you a "smash" for 100 points. The game will end when you
missed hitting the birdie 4 times.
*Tips*
- Try doing "smash" after "smash", it'll double the points you get
each time
- At 5000 points you'll gain an extra life
- To those of you with a turbo pad, set button A, B, X, Y on turbo
and you'll get the highest score in no time
iv) Lobelia Carlini - Tomorrow's Lock
***************************************
How to get it - In episode 5 you'll bump into Lobelia during
free roam and she'll ask you to go to her room
in the basement. Head down to her room and
eventually you'll be asked to play her mini game
(have to say yes)
Location - The bar
Beating Requirement - 17,000 points
*Control*
D-pad - Move
Analog - Move
A - Speed up
B - none
X - none
Y - none
L/R - none
*Concept*
You must take a ball from one side of a maze to the other side. The
ball cannot touch any side of the wall nor can the ball touch any
rotating objects. Doing so and the ball will explode wasting 3 seconds
of your time. There are 3 parts to this game, the first part you
control a tiny ball that is easy to navigate. The second part you
control a medium sized ball. The last part you control a very large
ball that is pretty hard not to touch the wall. The game will end when
the time reaches to zero.
*Tips*
- After the ball exploded, the ball will reappear and gain a
temporary invisibility. Use this as your advantage and use the A
button to speed pass nearby obstacles
- Do the final part with the large ball slowly, only speed up when
there's a straight line
v) Kitaooji Hanabi - A Place In The Arrow
********************************************
How to get it - Coming soon
Location - Hanabi's room (right side of big mansion)
Beating Requirement - 2,800 points
*Control*
D-pad - none
Analog - Aim / Fire
A - none
B - none
X - none
Y - none
L/R - none
*Concept*
The control for this game is very hard since pressing down on the
analog control will allow you to aim the arrow and returning the analog
back to center fires the arrow. Try practicing and getting use to the
control before actually trying beating the score. Your goal is to
shoot the target in the dead center to get the most points. The game
will end when you failed to get a certain amount of points every 5
rounds.
Round 1-5 - must get at least 300 points
Round 6-10 - must get at least 400 points
Round 11-15 - must get at least 600 points
Round 16-20 - must get at least 800 points
After that - given 10 arrows to shoot anything
*Tips*
- Take your time to aim, there's no time limit
- Always shoot for the furthest target away from you, they gives
more points
- The arrow can shoot through multiple targets
