v1.0 - Welcome to my Mr. Driller FAQ. The majority of this guide, the first 4
updates to it at least, were all done on the same day. I didn't sleep the first
night I started this guide. Now I'm a zombie today. I will sleep now. Oh yeah,
a few more things. I love feedback, so if there is any way to improve this
guide let me know and I'll see what I can do.

v2.0 - Discovered there are more levels than the initial levels pictured when
you first start Time Attack mode. Once I get past the first three rows of
levels, or tiers, I will add them to the chart  along with sections for
strategy.

v3.0 - The last update before the Final Version. I just beat the last normal
stage, which took me a few days. I'm sure that I cannot beat the ADV courses.
So I just added a geneneral strategy section for the ADV courses in my level-
by-level, now I'm going to take a small break and get together a general
strategies section.

v4.0 - I have decided not to make a Final version of the FAQ, I will just
leave it at 4.0 because I still need info on what happens when you beat the
ADV courses. I might try to beat them myself later, it might take me a few
weeks to pound out another update and to beat the levels. After I do that you
can expect a Final version of the fact, plus more polish and a little bit more
of everything.

FINAL - I have recieved the info needed to finish the FAQ, thanks to Mathieu
Pronovost and Azrael for the info.

4. \Mode Strategies/

This section will attempt to describe every level and playing mode in the game.
There will be charts that will have information such as Level Name, Level
Depth, and Time to Beat.

 4a. Time Attack

In this mode you do not need to worry about air, it's about getting to the
bottom as fast as you possibly can. To lower your time you can collect
miniature clocks. This section is designed to help with this mode.

    4a2. Time Attack Level-by-Level Strategy

The most detailed level descriptions and strategies I can give you
without giving a block by block description of the level. If you
are looking for other details about the level, the Level Chart
above may be able to help.

         Subway - My Time: 0'12''97
         ------
This is the first level. It is very very basic, so I'm not
going to help very much with it. The basic strategy is to
keep pressing the X button as fast as you can while moving
Mr. Digger around to the Time Clocks. Make sure to try and
go for the big blocks, because it takes less time to
destroy one big block and fall, then to destroy the same
         amount of little blocks.

         Classic - My Time: 0'15''77
         -------
This stage is a bit easier than the last one, just keep
hammering on the X button and going for large chains of
blocks, thos can normally take you where you want to go.
Make sure to pick up all clocks, and after a few times
through you'll probably get it. Be aware of avalanches there
will be more here than in the last stage.

         Armory - My Time: 0'22''20
         ------
This stage is all about the tiers, just keep going down the
left side destroying every block that gets in your way and
drill the blocks under the blocks of brown blocks so that
they fall into the bottom of the tier and disintegrate along
with the tier. Just keep going, memorize your route, and
before long you'll be done with that stage. at the bottom of
each cluster of brown blocks that is a place where Mr.
Driller can hide out of harms way while the blocks
         disentegrate.

         Egypt - My Time: 0'21''40
         -----
Stay to the left at all times, except when you go the left
and then to the right again at the beginning to get the -3
clock. Just stay to your left and make sure not to get hit by
         an avalanche.

         Nessie - My Time: 0'20''13
         ------
This stage is one of the hardest stages yet. You only have
1 or 2 blocks available to make fall into the bottom of the
tier. Again make sure to watch for avalanches, and memorize
         your route.

Ice Age - My Time: 0'18''93
         -------
This is a fun stage. You have to maneveur very fast to get
out of all the brown block traps, you'll see what I mean when
you get in there. Practice Practice Practice this level alot
until it's like second nature to you, and then you'll
probably get it. This stage alone took me about a 1/2 hour.

         Dinosaur - My Time: 0'22''40
         --------
I finally beat this level! My main advice is to not freak out
about this level and relax take a break come back when you
rested and the level seems almost easy. Also the first clock
in the puzzle is not needed just drill right by it.

         Ammonite - My Time: 0'21''25
         --------
Hilariously easy level. Easier than the first level even. If
you cannot beat this level and you get stuck on it. Take a
break and come back to it later. Make sure when you fall to
         get mostly every clock.

         Mansion - My Time: 0'12''82
         -------
A bit harder than the previous stage. All this is, is
planning your falls right so that you get all clocks and do
         not stall.

         Lab - My Time: 0'22''10
         ---
Go for the big blocks and just try to make it down the sections of
the level as fast as you can. On the way destroy the large blocks
and let the clocks that are resting on them fall down to you. That
way you keep making progress with clocks falling on you.

         ADV Courses
         -----------
These are the same courses as before except for the Default Level
Records. The times on here are much shorter than for the previous
courses. So just use the strategy for the regular course but try to
modify it to your liking so it's faster. Have fun after you beat the
ADV Courses, save your game, reset and then press select at the Title
Screen to see Mr. D's new outfit, he also gets a nice speed boost
         too. HAVE FUN!

5. \General Strategy/

The most important thing to do in this game is memorize the stage layouts.
Once you memorize the stage it won't be nearly as hard as when you just played
it. Also find the drilling technique for that level by experimenting with
different things. Just see what works for you, run through the level, drilling
under the blocks with the clocks on them and see if they fall down to you, or
if the level isn't as chain reaction oriented as you thought. Overall, just
experiment a little and you will do the best.

Another thing to stress is that in the Survival Mode, getting every air
capsule is not needed to stay alive, so just colllect air when you need it
since it seems to be in abundance.

Anne - For looking over this for me. Thanks sis.

The GSCCC - For putting up the biggest database of Gameshark codes around. I
do not advocate the use of Gameshark codes though.

Nemesis - For inspiring me to do something I ordinarily would not have done.

CjayC - For putting up a kick-arse site on the web, I have been a devoted fan
