1. INTRODUCTION
=======================================================================
First off, let me state that I know nothing about Gundam.^_^ This
is the first Gundam game I've ever played, I've never seen the anime,
and I probably never will. So if I make any big glaring mistake when
describing something,keep this in mind^_^
I will say though, that this game has really sparked my interest in
the whole Japanese Mech hub-bub. Gundam Gaiden 0079 is a very fun, fast
paced yet semi strategic, blast. I wish there were more weapons and
missions, but it's great as is. I know that if you access the Gundam
site with your DC, you can download some extra stuff, but I have an
Asian model :-( I do want to try and access the site with my US DC
though, so if anyone knows the addy...let me know! I'll give you
credit^_^ Hopefully we'll be able to d/l the extras with a US modem...
it's worth a try right?
While the game is fun, it can be really frustrating at times. Check
the General Playing Tips for a few pointers, maybe one of them will help
you. And if you have any tips of your own, be sure to mail them to me
and I'll include them in the next revision.
And above all, have fun!
Here's the story of the game, compliments of CJayC(the head GameFAQs
honcho).
January, U.C. 0079...
Space Colony "Side 3" declares its allegiance to the Zion Dukedom,
and begins an independent war against the Earth Federation government.
The Zion army carries out "Operation British" to make the space colony
fall to earth simultaneously as they begin their ground war.
The target of the colony was Jaburo, a Federal Army base in
South America. Due to the desperate resistance of the Federal Army, the
colony breaks apart in the sky over Arabia. Jaburo is saved, but the
colony scores a direct hit on Sydney, Austrialia, destroying the city
and creating a giant bay where it once stood.
Due to the failure of "Operation British", the Zion army did not have
enough resources for the long-term war they now expected. The attack on
Earth was carried out at once in order to secure resources, and 2/3 of
the surface was taken in a lightning-fast attack.
Where Australia took the most impact from "Operation British" was also
where the Zion army invaded in order to take the abundant underground
resources there. The Federal Army troops in Australia that weren't
annihilated by the blast were not prepared for the invasion.
11 months later...
The Earth Federation strikes back with "Operation Odessa", a massive
counterattack that begins in Europe. The balance of power begins to
shift back to Earth forces, and additional counteroffensives being all
over the world.
Now in Australia, the troops which survived "Operation British" begin
their counterattack...
=======================================================================
2. CONTROLS
=======================================================================
These are the basic controls for the game:
Y BUTTON--Scope On/Off
The Scope lets you look into the distance for Enemies and Targets. You
can switch weapons, fire, and look around with the scope on, but you
can't move around. Use the L and R Triggers to zoom in/out.
X BUTTON--Weapon Select
Pressing X will cycle through your weapons
A BUTTON--Fire Weapon/Attack with Beam Sword
The A Button fires your selected weapon. Usually you can just hold
it down to fire rapidly. Some weapons, like the Grenade, require you to
hold the A button down for more distance. When you are in close combat
with another Mobile Suit(MS), pressing A will make your Mech swing its
Beam Sword. The Beam Sword comes out automatically when you get within
a certain distance of another MS.
B BUTTON--Lock On/Center View
When you are walking around the Field, your visor will target
important objects (enemy MS,Mission Targets, etc) when you come within a
certain range of them. A green box will pop up around these objects
showing their ID and how close you are to them, if you hit B you will
Lock On to this object. When you are Locked On to something, you'll
always look in it's direction until it(or you) moves too far away.
Locking On to a target makes it easier to hit with your weapons. Hit B
when you are Locked On to Lock Off.
Holding down B will also Center your view(important!).
ANALOG STICK--Move Mobile Suit's Head
The Analog Stick controls only your Mobile Suit's head, not it's
overall movement. This takes a bit of getting used to, but it's an
essential technique! You can fire on a Target while moving in a
different direction, or stay behind shelter and blast at a Target from
afar, etc etc...Again, holding down B will center your view.
D-PAD--Moves entire MS/Boost
The D-pad is what you use to make your Mobile Suit walk. Hitting
twice in one direction will engage your boosters, and you'll boost in
that direction until you let go of the D-pad. Boosting is good for close
combat because you can stick and move quickly, but watch out! The Enemy
MS' know about this too! You can't fire a weapon while you are boosting.
Also, keep your eye on the Booster Guage in the lower left-hand side of
the screen. If it reaches 100% you'll overheat and lose the ability to
boost for awhile. This can be very costly. Tapping down on the D-Pad
twice causes your Mech to duck down. This doesn't really help much
though...
L TRIGGER--Jump
The L Trigger engages your boost as well, but this time you fly into
the air. You can float along by keeping the L Trigger held down. This
causes your Booster Guage to fill quickly, so be careful.
R TRIGGER--Block
Holding down the R Trigger causes your mech to raise it's shield and
block, this is useful in close combat for blocking enemy MS' Beam
Weapons.

========================================================================
4. GENERAL PLAYING TIPS
========================================================================
1. USE YOUR RADAR!
The radar is in the center of your HUD display. You are always in the
center(blue dot), and looking north. Blue Dots are your allies, or
objects that you have to protect, red dots are enemy MS', targets, and
other enemy objects.
2. USE YOUR SCOPE!
The scope can save you some serious armour, so use it often. Make sure
there aren't any enemy forces bearing down on you though. The scope is
great for taking out enemy installations from afar.
3. USE THE MAP
Most of the Fields in the Missions aren't that big, and the map will
show you where most of the enemies and Targets are. You are Fang 1 and
the white area around you is the direction you're facing and what you
can see.
4.WATCH YOUR GUAGES
Keep an eye on your Boost Gauge on the very left of the HUD. If it
fills up completely and hits 100% you'll overheat and have to wait for
the Mech to cool down before you can use your Booster again. You don't
want to get caught surrounded by enemy guns and not be able to get outta
there!
Also be sure to keep an eye on you Weapon Guages as well. Most of your
weapons have an unlimited supply, but the need to refill after so many
uses(it varies from weapon to weapon). You don't want to get caught in
the perfect position to take out an enemy and not be able to use the
best weapon possible
5. CHECK YOUR OBJECTIVES
Check your Mission Objectives in the Pause Menu often to see what you
still have left to do. Sometimes objectives are added as the Mission
progresses.
6. QUICK WEAPON CYCLE(from Joe Ottoson)
While you are firing one weapon you can still cycle through the others
by hitting X. This helps resolve the delay in switching weapons
========================================================================
5. MISSION GUIDE
========================================================================
The nitty-gritty of the FAQ! I play each Mission 7 or 8 times before
I include them in this Guide, so the information should be pretty spot
on. Of course, there may be small changes depending upon how you attack
the enemy Mobile Suits, but the strategies should work pretty universally.
================================
MISSION 1--Rainbow Valley 5:20am
================================
Suggested Set-Up: Fang 1 RGM-79/Machine Gun/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-L
Fang 3 RGM-80/Machine Gun/Shield-L
Objectives: Destroy Enemy MS'
Destroy all Targets
From the start, head right to the road. You'll see a Magella in the
distance. Have Fang 3 attack the Magella using Short Style. The hill
just to the left of where the Magella is, is where the first MS-O6J will
come from. Walk slowly to it until you see the HUD identify it. As soon
as it does, pop on the Scope, Lock On, and blast away with your Machine
Gun. It won't fire back at you until it's within a certain range. Once
it does start shooting at you, take off the Scope and have Fang 2 and 3
Attack it using Long and Medium Styles respectively. You have another,
more dangerous MS-O6J to worry about.
The 2nd MS-O6J comes from the North(on the Map) and carries a Rocket
Launcher. Once he appears, Lock On to him and wail away with your
Machine Gun as you close ground on him. He'll want to keep you at a
distance so he can use his Rocket Launcher. The best way to get close to
him is to alternate Boosting and firing with your MG(Machine Gun). Once
you're close enough to activate the Beam Saber, keep him close and get
in as many hits as possible(while being safe of course). Your pals
shouldn't have too much trouble finishing off the 1st MS-O6J. Keep tabs
on them with your Command screen. As soon as they kill the 1st MS-O6J
have them Attack the 2nd using the same method, but this time have Fang 3
use Medium tactics. You should fall back into Medium Range as well and
use your Machine Gun.
With all 3 of you bearing down, the second MS-O6J shouldn't last too
long. Just be sure to boost away from Rockets when necessary. Now, the
second phase of the Mission is at hand, and a new Objective is added.
New Objective: Guard Friendly Targets
Notice those air units called DOPP's on your map? Well, now they will be
taken care of with some Friendly Air Units. Your job is to take out all
the Enemy Guns(Targets) so they don't destroy your Friendly Units. You
can go about this pretty much anyway you please. Just check your Map
frequently to see where the Targets are. If you need a good start,
I suggest you make your way close to the Installation where the Oasis is
and start from there. Then just make your way around the perimeter of the
map taking out Targets as they pop up. Be sure to assign your Fangs some
Targets to kill as well.
Once you've taken out all the Guns, the mission is over. Good job!
================================
MISSION 2--Alice Springs 11:20am
================================
Suggested Set-Up:Fang 1 RGM-79/Machine Gun/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Shield-L
Fang 3 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-L
Objectives: Destory all Targets
Have Oasis perform S.P. Search(happens automatically)
There are two ways you can go about this Mission. One is to try and
take out all the Targets before you deal with the 3 Mechs, the other
is to take out the Mechs then deal with the Targets. I suggest the first
way.
When the Mission starts, immediately head to the North and take out
the Targets there, they will show up on your map as you approach the
first one. Then, head South and deal with the Targets there. Try to avoid
all contact with the enemy Mechs at this point, and try to take as little
damage from the enemy guns as possible. Once you've taken out the Targets,
have Fang 2 and 3 Attack the first MS-O6J using Medium Style.You should
join in from the South. Be sure to give Fang 2 and 3 time to move in, or
else it will be harder for them to get in good attacking positions.
Before too long, the pilot of the MS-07B will contact you and you'll be
taken to a cut screen where you and he talk(still working on this one).
After the cut screen you have it out with the MS-O7B. Be sure to take
time and assign your other Fangs. Have them Attack the MS-O6J's so they
won't mess with you. The MS-07B is TOUGH, but he can be defeated if you
fight smart. As soon as the cut scene ends, Lock On and fire away with
your MG and close in on him. He tries to keep some distance between you
and him by constantly jumping away. WHen he does, let your Lock On find
him while he's in the air then Boost along the ground in that direction.
If you time it right you can knock him down as he lands and have it out
with your Beam Swords. The best tactic is to stick and move, only pause
when you can get a couple good shots in. Basically, you both are trying
to set-up a good shot, then rush in and strike, then boost away.
I don't think it matters if the MS-O6J's are destroyed, as soon as you
take out the MS-O7B the Mission ends(provided you've taken care of the
Targets earlier).
Alternate Method(from Joe Ottoson):
After the enemy pilot gives his speech, don't attack and he'll just walk
away into the haze. Much easier eh? You'll also get a change in the ending
cinema for the Mission.
=====================================
MISSION 3--Simpson's Gyapp 2:07pm
=====================================
Suggested Set-Up: Fang 1 RGM-79/Beam Rifle/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-L
Fang 3 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Shield-L
Objective: Destroy GAW
This Mission is weird. Your main Objective is to blast the wing of
the huge, flying GAW with the P-Beam Rifle, but you can pass it without
even doing it. Basically you fight 6 or 7 MS' in 2 waves. I'm not sure if
the Mission ending scene changes if you take the GAW down or not.
When the Mission begins, head to the hill that's a bit to your right.
As you reach the top a Rocket Launcher carrying MS-O6S comes into view.
Lock On and blast it with your Beam Rifle two or three times, be careful
because the Beam Rifle takes awhile to recharge between blasts, so boost
from side to side when you aren't firing. Assign Fang 2 and 3 to Attack
the nearby MS-O6J using Middle and Short styles. A second MS-O6S will join
the frey, he's all yours. Use your remaining shots on whichever MS you
have a better shot at, then switch to your Head Guns(press X once) and
Beam Saber. They shouldn't last too long.
About the Beam Rifle, it only has 6 shots per clip and takes forever to
recharge. And don't waste any Beam Rifle shots on the Magellas.
After you dispense of this MS-O6J, you should be taken to a cut scene
of more Mobile Suits descending from the GAW. Now the second wave begins.
After the cut scene, head for the highest(altitude wise) point of the map.
This is your best bet to catch the GAW flying by. It's near the center of
the map, you'll see it. Boost Jump up to the highest point and you should
see the GAW coming from the North. There are five points on the GAW that
you can Lock On to. Two on each wing and the drop hatch(?) near the center.
Your main objective is to try and take out the GAW, so assign Fang 2 and 3
to Attack any enemy Mobile Suits that pop up. It's best to have them both
go after the same one, and both use Middle Style. You just want to keep your
eye on the GAW and blast away with the Beam Rifle. Be careful not to breach
the End Area(edge of the map) or else the Mission will be over.
Regardless of whether or not you took out the GAW, you should turn around
and help your fellow White Dingo members take out the remaining Mobile
Suits. There are at least 3, 2 MS-O6J's and a MS-O6S. Use your Beam Rifle
until it's out then switch to Head Guns, Grenades, and Beam Weapons. Just
be sure to have Fang 2 Attacking a different MS if you going to be fighting
up close.
That's the end of Mission 3!
============================
MISSION 4--Carrieton 10:15am
============================
Suggested Set-Up: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGM-79/Machine Gun/Shield-S
Fang 3 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Shield-S
Objective: Destroy Enemy Mobile Suits
Assign Fang 2 and 3 to Attack the 1st MS-O6K Short Style, it's directly
North of your starting point. You should follow the road North then strafe
to the left when it ends. When you come to the end of the road there, start
walking forward and eventually a second MS-O6K will come into view. Walk
towards it as you unload with your R-Launcher. When you get close enough, or
run out of Rockets in your current clip Boost forward and initiate Short
Range tactics. Your Rockets should've weakened this MS-O6K enough so that
you only need a couple good whacks with your Beam Sword to bring him down.
Once he's taken care of, go back and help Fang 2 and 3 finish off the first
MS-O6K. Be on the look-out for a third MS-O6K. Again, have Fang 2 and 3
fight it Short Style while you hang back use your R-Launcher. Try to use
your Scope when you can. You want to finish these 3 MS-O6K's quickly so
you'll have plenty of energy for the upcoming battle.
WHen the 3 MS-O6K's are gone, you'll see a cut scene with two MS-O7B's
chasing down a Friendly aircraft. You now have to take out these two Mechs
and protect the aircraft and it's cargo
New Objective: Guard Friendly Targets
The MS-O7B's and the damaged aircraft land on the South East part of the
map, by the large white-ish area. Make your way to the Northern part of that
section and have Fang 2 and 3 head just to the South-East of it. When the
MS-O7B's appear have Fang 2 and 3 Attack the one that's more to the South
than the other(makes sense when you see it on the Map^_^) and you should
slowly make your way Southward until you can Lock On to the other. If you
have time to use your Scope then by all means do so, if not just fire your
Rockets in Manual view. You want to hit the MS-O7B with as many Rockets as
you can before you have to switch to Short Range tactics. These guys are
tough up-close. If you have 400 to 500 points of Armour left you should be
in good shape. Dispense with the MS-O7B you were pelting with Rockets then
make your way to where Fang 2 and 3 are fighting the other one. Lock On to
the MS-O7B from a distance and fire when you get a good shot. Try not to
hit your fellow Fangs, but it really doesn't matter since once you've taken
this guy down the Mission is over.
End of Mission 4, hooray!
==========================
MISSION 5--Adelaide 9:42am
==========================
Suggested Setup: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGM-79/Machine Gun/Shield-L
Fang 3 RX-77D/Machine Gun/Machine Gun
Objective: Search for Enemy
As you can tell, you get to use a different type of Mobile Suit in this
Mission. The RX-77D, it's better at Searching than the other types of Suits
but it doesn't have a shield or a Beam Weapon.
You don't have to Search very hard for the enemy. In fact, you don't have
to at all! As soon as the Mission starts an MS-O6S should be visible on the
Map. You'll have to deal with a pair of these guys.
New Objective: Destroy Enemy MS'
You can pretty much use the same method as Mission 4 in dealing with these
guys. Hopefully they will only appear one at a time. If so, set Fang 2 and 3
to Middle Attack and you can hang back and nail the Mech with your Rockets.
Then repeat when the second one shows itself. If they both show up at the same
time, have Fang 2 and 3 deal with one(still using Middle Attack style) and you
should focus on the other with your Rockets then move in for a swift up-close
kill. When the two MS-O6S' are gone move your troops to the South-West portion
of the Map. Be careful, the "compound" on the South Eastern side of Map is
equipped with Rocket Launching Guns. The best way to deal with these is to
target them from afar and rush in with your Rockets. It doesn't take much to
knock out the Launchers, but they can be a pain if you let them stay functional
too long.
New Objective: Destroy Enemy Targets
After taking out the Rocket Launchers, move in to the compound and finish off
the ship(if you read the Mail from Leung before this Mission it tells you about
the ship).Now you have to deal with a trio of MSM-O6's. These guys are tough
little SOBs. They can shoot powerful beams, and like to Boost into you head first.
Be sure to wipe out any remaining Targets before you fight the MSM-O6's as well.
The first two should appear in or near the compund with the ship, have Fang 2 and
3 target one using Middle Tactics and you can tackle the other. These guys are
tough up close so you may want to use MIddle Tactics as well and wear them down
with Rockets before you close in for the kill. The MSM-O6's don't have any beam
weapons, but they have huge claws as hands and are very quick with them. As soon
as you deal with your MS, head over and help your pals. The third MSM-O6 usually
appears in the South East part of the map. Just turn everyone's attention on him
and wail away, you sholdn't even have to get close. It's probably a good idea to
have the Oasis Move away from the battle because the MSM's seem to like to attack
it. After the 3rd MSM-O6 goes down you're done with the Mission.
On a side note, this is one of the cooler landscapes. It's a ruined city and there
are some cool structures to check out, especially the Stadium near the center of
the map. This is also the first battle zone to have Water in it I believe, not a
big deal but worth noting^_^
=============================
MISSION 6--Broken Hill 3:28 pm
=============================
Suggested Set-Up: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-S
Fang 2 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Shield-S
Fang 3 RX-77D/Machine Gun/Machine Gun
Objectives: Destroy enemy MS'
Destroy enemy Targets
This Mission can be either really hard, or really easy. You see a new type of MS
here, the M-O9. It's quick, small, and carries Rockets. There's only one but it
has alot of support in the form of 2 MS-O6J's and the big ship that's flying
around(your target). From your starting point there's a big mountain just to the
East, the first MS-O6J is lurking just beyond it. Have Fang 2 and 3 Move just South
of the mountain, when they get there have them Attack the MS-O6J using Short and
Medium Style. You should stay North of the mountain and await the arrival of the
M-O9 and the Target ship.
What makes or breaks the ease of this Mission is how quickly you can take out
the guns on the Target ship. They are located in the very center and can quickly
kill you when you are duking it out with the M-O9 if you don't pay attention to
them. Usually, the M-O9 arrives with the big ship, but sometimes it arrives a
little bit before it. In case it does arrive early, Lock On and blast away with
your Rockets. Move backwards as you fire and try to draw the battle close to
where you started(West of the big mountain). The Target ship seems to fly on a set
pattern and won't disturb you there. If both the ship and M-O9 arrive together,
Lock On to the ship's guns as quickly as possible and Strafe away from it and the
M-O9's shots. As soon as the Guns fire(hopefully missing just to the side of you),
stop strafing and fire a rocket, repeat this pattenr until the Guns are blown up.
It should only take 2 rockets, 3 at the most. Once the Guns are dealt with, you
can forget about the ship until after all the Mechs are dealt with.
The M-O9 is a quick little devil, kinda like the MSM-O6's from the last Mission
but IMO even tougher. Your best bet is to keep it at a medium distance as much as
possible until you've nailed it with at least 4 or 5 rockets and then initiate close
battle. Once the M-O9 is dealt with, see how your fellow White Dingo members are
faring with the MS-O6J. If they haven't taken care of it yet, chip in with your
rockets. There's one more on it's way.
Again, have Fang 2 and 3 attack from Medium range along with you. From there you
can either move in for a swift kill or just keep him at bay until he goes down.
Once the last MS-O6J is dealt with, locate the ship and take it out, piece by piece.

MISSION 7-Tornton Base, 6:04am
==============================
Suggested Setup: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Sheild
Fang 2 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Small Shield
Fang 3 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Shield
There are 3 "MS-09's" to the NorthEast, if you just dive right in you'll end up
facing all at once, and that's no fun. Instead head to the right then left along
the row of buildings until the 1st MS-09 comes into sight. Lock on and fire at
it with Rockets as you close the gap between you and it, then finish it off up
close. Be sure to stay in the area where the MS first appears or you'll alert
the other MS-09's.
After the 1st one is down, the other two will show up. Check your COMMAND screen
and have Fangs 2 and 3 attack the one closest to them as you go after the one
that's closer to you. Fang 2-Short Tactics, Fang 3-Middle. Be aware that a
"MS-06J" will join the fray eventually, it shouldn't be a problem for your other
Fangs after they've dealt with their assigned MS-09. Use the same styles. Once
all the Zaku's are dealt with, make your way to the NE tip of the base.
End of Mission 7
==============================
MISSION 8-Hughgenden Fortress
==============================
Suggested Setup: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Sheild
Fang 2 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Small Shield
Fang 3 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Shield
Once the Mission starts move straight until you come to a tall mountain. Boost
your way up to the base on top and take out the 4 Guns. It's tricky getting up
there, but it CAN be done! Just be sure you stay on the side of the mountain that
you approached it from, or else you'll be and easy target for the guns and mechs
on the other side.
After the guns are taken care of, look North and you'll see an "MS-06K." Lock
On to it and fire rockets from afar. When you have to reload just boost to the
right and wait, or throw a couple Grenades if you want. Just repeat this process
until the enemy MS is dead. Once it is, drop down the right side of the mountain
and make your way to the right side of the Fortress using the hills as cover.
Once you're close to the Fortress put on the Scope and take out all the TARGETS,
ENEMIES, and especially the MEGA. You want to move in behind the base taking out
the various Targets as they become visible, use the Scope alot to be safe. Once
all the targets are taken out around here, have Fang 2 and 3 attack the remaining
MS-06K while you pick off the 3 Targets near the starting point.
-Cutscene
Attack the Flying Base by Locking On to it's 4 "Legs" and taking them out one
by one. While you're doing this, have Fang 2 and 3 attack the 3 targets marked
"CONTROL." Once you've taken out the 4 Legs of the Base the Mission is over.
From David B Stringham:
in level 8 of Gundam Side Story, (Hughgenden Fortress), there is an
interesting extra little part. once you breach the fortress, look along
the left hand wall on the first level of the base. there will be two
dark doors there. blow up the doors, and youll see a moving platform,
that will take you to the inner chamber of the base. There are 4 enemies
in there, (im not sure if they are generators or buildings). Once you
destroy them, Oasis will tell you that the base is heavily damaged. it
doesnt change your overall battle ending, but it does help to improve
your level stats, shown at the end of the game. :)
End of Mission 8
================================
MISSION 9- HLV Base
================================
Suggested Setup: Fang 1 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Sheild
Fang 2 RGC-80/Machine Gun/Small Shield
Fang 3 RGM-79/R-Launcher/Small Shield
First off, order Fangs 2 and 3 to fight the Gelgoog in Hand to Hand
combat to keep it busy, then boost to the empty HLV hanger that you're
facing. Go to the SouthEast end of the HLV hangar, where you can use
the edge for cover. There's a spot here where you can hit the huge
Zaku tank but none of it's weapons can get to you. When the tank comes
your way, fire at it to get it's attention, once it starts keying in
on you you'll find out if you have the right spot or not :) If not,
back up and take cover and inch up to the edge again and fire back
at the tank, or if it's already started making it's patrol again just
wait for it to come back around and get it's attention again. Stay in
this spot and keep shooting it with the R-Launcher, the tank should
stop and face you but not be able to shoot you.
Once the tank is down, fly around and take out the HLVs that are
shown in the opening cutscene, then check up on your 2 teammates and
the enemy Gelgoog. If they haven't finished him off yet, finish the
job for them by knocking him down with your sabre and slashing away.
Once the Gelgoog is down, the Mission ends. Basically, once you take
out the tank the level is a breeze, and finding the "safe" spot makes
taking the tank out a breeze. It might take a couple tries to find
the safe zone, but it's there. You CAN do all the other stuff first,
take out the HLVs, kill the Gelgoog, etc BEFORE killing the tank but
it makes the mission harder. Of course, it's kinda makes everything
that much more exciting having that huge roaming machine of death
looming about, your choice :)
Congrats! The game is over!

6. NEXT REVISION

So, finally, two years later I finish this thing. I'm not sure why
I never did, but now it's done and that's that. One less half-circle
for me.

8. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
=======================================================================
This is just one of a few FAQs I've written, all of which are
available at GameFAQS. A few my FAQs are on various other websites
(usually with proper creditO_o) as well. I hope this or any of the other
FAQs I've written help you in some way, or allow you to enjoy a game
more than before, or maybe just get a good read out of it.
If you have any questions about this game, or any other I've
written a FAQ for, feel free to drop me an E-Mail. BUT keep in
mind a few things:
1. Please don't ask when the next revision will be out, or if I
can send it to you, or if I can help you with a part not covered in the
FAQ yet. I don't really have a set schedule for these things, and you
can pick up the FAQ(s) at GameFAQs.
2. Please don't ask about something already covered in the FAQ.
Usually once a FAQ comes out I'm swamped with E-Mails and skip
ones that are covered in the FAQ.
3. Don't mail asking for codes, I don't have a Gameshark or keep
track of cheat codes or anything.
Other than that, I try to answer every single E-Mail I get and
am usually pretty good at getting back to people quickly, but
sometimes I lose letters in my computer or forget to keep them as
new. If I don't answer in a week or so it's safe to say I won't
be getting back to you, sorry.
