==2. The History of CIMA==
===============================

On May 11th, 1997 in a promotion called World Championship Wrestling, Ultimo
Dragon (who was no longer able to wrestle) debuted his first batch of students
of then unknown "Ultimo Dragon Gym" AKA Toryumon. Ultimo Dragon marches out
followed by his students, Dragon Kid, Tokyo Magnum, Dandy Sumo Fujii, and a
little scrawny kid called Shiima Nobunaga. Here comes this thin guy in a pair
of half black, half white shorts (split down the middle) with fringes (also
Black and White) hanging from them. I wasn't sure what to expect but Ultimo is
one of my favorites so I wanted to be fair. The rival team comes out, and it's
Chaos and Toryumon goes on the attack in classic Lucha Libre fashion. I
remember CIMA doing a Tornado Suicida and I was hooked! That was the moment
that I decided to watch his career and I haven't been disappointed since.

From the beginning Shiima proved to be crowd favorite with his dangerous High
Flying moves. He and Chris Jericho (now know as Y2J) who was a heel at the time
went back and forth quite a few times. Ironically CIMA is now a heel and Y2J is
under McMann's heel. CIMA to this day is wildly popular (especially with the
ladies, most of Toryumon's fans are young women). He has his own Video Cassette
highlighting some of his matches but it's mostly interviews with him. No other
Toryumon wrestler has a single video dedicated to him! At the same time Shima
and the other mambers of the Toryumon stable were used as jobbers and treated
like crap. No hope a push anywhere in sight, Ultimo decided to take his talent
pool elsewhere.

Ah the name change, why did Shiima Nobunaga go from Shiima to SHIIMA to CIMA?
Well I'm glad you asked. Shiima while touring in Mexico with Toryumon
encounters a problem with his popularity. Although he's as good of a high flyer
as anyone else the Mexcian public isn't feeling him. They associate the name
Nobunaga with Japan (rightly so) and thus are unexcited and unwilling to watch
him. So Shiima changes his name to SHIIMA dropping the Nobunaga (which is his
fictitious first name) now the name is easier to pronounce and remembered or so
he thought. But it is mispronounced by the Latin speaking public (due to their
treatment of S sounds and the double vowel) so he simplifies the spelling to a
phonetic one becoming CIMA and the rest is history. One word, one syllable,
life is sweet.

Speaking of CIMA's popularity, he gained the admiration of Japanese wrestling
fans when he (a rookie) went to the final rounds of the 2000 J Cup against
Jushin "Thunder" Liger (a wrestler that I had grown up watching)! Here's a guy
that very little people in Japan have ever heard of and a rookie at that going
all the way to the finals against one of Japan's Iconic wrestlers his first
time in the J Cup tournament. The hard fought match was paved with a stiff road
of competition (Onryo {Japan's answer to the Undertaker/deadman gimmick} being
particularly memorable). CIMA and Liger pulled out all of the stops pulling off
their trademark moves. In the end CIMA lost to Liger but the crowd was so
impressed that their was quite an ovation (it was one of the most memorable J
Cups since the appearance of the Hayabusa gimmick).

CIMA is the leader and founder of Crazy MAX. It's a team formed by him, SUWA
(formerly Judo Suwa), Big Fujii (formerly Dandy Sumo Fujii, Dan Sumo Fujii,
Sumo Fujii 2000, and Big Bicycle Brother. He changes his name once a year),
TARU, TARUcito, and formerly MAKATO. With the structure of Toryumon being based
off of the Lucha Libre system their promotion's factions break down like so:

1) Toryumon Dragon Gym (technico/babyFaces) the good guys well at least that's
how they promote them.
2) M2K (rudos/heels) the baddies, everyone likes to boo 'em.
3) Toryumon 2000 (rookies) the new faces to be pushed, some good some bad but
all in all shooting stars.
4) Freelancers (Non Affiliated jobbers) the "hey it's so & so.. I've haven't
seen them.." or the "Geeze when's a somebody gonna come out" category. Not that
these guys aren't good but you're not supposed to be buying their merchandise
(if there is any).
5) Crazy MAX (Outsiders/Anti-hero) part rudo, part techino, they flow with the
storylines. Although they use dirty methods to get the job done the crowd loves
them! Think Toryumon's answer to the nWo especially Murder Inc (my personal
favorite nWo).

So Crazy MAX is the group that everyone likes to watch and cheer when they do
something that the technicos can't do. They work outside of the system get the
desired results and have the skills to back it up. To prove it CIMA was the
IWRG Intercontinental Champion as well as the UWA 6 Man Tag Team Champion. With
such mad skills it's hard to refute the claim that CIMA is one of Japan's top
Juniors! By the way FYI Crazy Max is the name of a Japanese Porn Star, it's
like naming your team John Holmes (hence the Crazy F#@king).

==5. Strategy==
===============

5.1. General Strategy
=====================

The style employed by CIMA is a awesome hybrid of styles, what is now
considered Modern Junior. That means he can do it all. Decent at drivers,
submissions, and great at the Luchalibre style that Ultimo knows so well. This
means your strikes (except punches), submissions, and highflying moves are VERY
effective.  So use those moves if you want the most damage.  Rough moves are
decently effective although CIMA is a heel type character.  As for grapple
moves, CIMA has a lot of "A" rated moves like the Leg Sweep to Ground Octopus,
Front Enzigiri, etc. so those are effective too.  A small weakness CIMA has is
that his X throws are "C" rated moves but it's still gets them to his strong
front grapples which like the Iconoclasm variations and Spicy Drop are A rated.
So mix in a few strikes and use some grapples.  But since he has lucha style,
use those wicked lucha moves! Since Ultimo Dragon is his teacher and CIMA was
part of his 1st set of students, he's a spot machine! The CIMA that is default
does high flying moves like it's nobody's business!

For a strategy against him, his Crush and vs. Lariat and defense in general is
low side of the parameter chart, but that's common for Jr. Heavyweights.  So
try some power moves against him, but using a big heavyweight Power move
wrestler (like Vader) against a Jr. Heavyweight IS UNFAIR isn't it? But pitting
a smaller Power Machine (like Masato Tanaka) against him. Well, that a whole
different story. Personally I'm big on the High Flyers (grew up with Satoru
Sayama/Tiger Mask and Jushin "Thunder" Liger). So I usually try him out against
like opponents: Tiger Mask, Hayabusa, Great Sasuke, Liger (reliving J Cup
2000), Gran Hamada, Koji Kanemoto (great matches), Onryo (again reliving J Cup
2000), but that's your choice.

5.2. Strikes
============

CIMA's strikes are rated "C" so it will be of normal effective.  His chops and
punches are decent to use early in the match.  But his Dropkicks are effective
but making it connect is a little bit harder. If you land it, it will floor the
opponent. His best strike is the Face to Face Enzigiri landing one of these bad
boys will stun your opponent good.

So the best thing to do is to use the various punches and chops to fend off the
opponents. Use the Low Dropkick when they move in to close range & try to land
the Turn Once Drop Kick more often for impact. Only use the Enzigiri when the
opponents are ready to be dazed and can be set up for a hard thrown.  Don't
forget to breathe every now and then, as strikes can rapidly deplete your
stamina.  (Yes the last sentence was taken from BillWood.)

5.3. Grapples
=============

CIMA has some good grapples in his move set so use his "C" ranked moves early
like the Snap Mare and Body Slam.  Then you can move on to use his Brain Buster
to get them ready for the "A" throws beginning with the Arm Drag Slam. Then
finally, move on to his strong grapple moves which are all almost all "A" moves
like the Spicy Drop, Michinoku Driver 2, and X Factor.

His strong grapple from behind moves are a mixed bag a "B", an "E", 2 "A", and
2 "C" ranked moves. So the chance of pulling most of the move off is lower than
his "A" moves.  The only "A" moves he has is the Reverse DDT and Onryo Clutch.
So try to use these move a little bit more if you can. I use the Onryo Clutch a
lot since it is a pin.

5.4. High Flying Moves
======================

When it comes to high flying moves, CIMA        has some of the best in the business,
like his Tornado Sucidia (a Specialty) and in "Off The Post Moonsault", the
default CIMA has the Mad Splash as a Finisher so use it.

As you can tell, his top turnbuckle moves are all opponents down moves and his
only opponent standing moves are the Swandive Missle Kick and Flying Lariat.  I
recommend using the Phoenix Senton and Mad Splash when the opponent is down
because the Mad Splash has Finishing Power.  When the opponent is standing
daze, use the Swandive Missile Kick of Flying Lariat to knock your opponent to
the ground in style!

If you threw your opponent outside of the ring and he is dazed, use the Tornado
Plancha Suicida because it's a specialty move, and it looks so damn cool!!!!

5.5. Opponent Down Moves (Submissions and Opponent Downed Strikes)
================================================================

Just use the Low Drop kick, Steiner Recliner, High Gillotene Leg Drop, and
Delfin Style Maple Leaf most of the time because they are the most effective.
You can use his Low Blow if you want it's something that he'd do! Sadly 2 of
his 4 most effective opponent downed moves are submissions and I find
submission holds to be ineffective because the CPU seems to get out of it
easily (unlike Super Fire Prowrestling X).

=====================
==6. CIMA the re-EDIT
=====================

This is my re-edit and my own revision, which is based off of M2J's Toryumon
pack. You can down load his stelar edit pack at http://toryumonusa.tripod.com/
it has the most up-to-date versions of the Toryumon stable as well as wrestlers
who job and no longer work there. M2J's version differs from mine but I did
that to keep it fresh and closest to the stuff that I've seen of CIMA. This is
by no means the ultimate CIMA these are only the moves that I felt that he did
most and the change in skills reflects the growth as wrestler that I personally
feel CIMA has undergone. Please feel free to use this version. If you are able
to go online and download stuff with your Dreamcast I highly recommend M2J's
version, it's near perfect. If you do you will need the following:

1) SPIKE Download Add-On move,  Sweet Chin Music (.W19)
2) SPIKE Download Add-On move,  Shubain (.W41)

Where can you get these? There's a few places I personally go to
http://www.gswf.org for all of my SPIKE Downloading needs.

If you do want to make the changes I suggested here's how I would go about it
if you were indeed able to access the net via your DC.

1) Go to http://toryumonusa.tripod.com/ and in the Fire Pro D section M2J's
Edit packs can be found. The Toryumon update pack is the first one listed there
with all of their names and necessary SPIKE Download moves (If you need to get
moves it mentioned above). The pack will be E.004 (I believe) and that means it
will be your fourth set of CAWs. All of M2Js EDITs have their most current
names written out in Japanese so you may want to copy or print the actual Edit
list in order to rename them. CIMA, SUWA, TARU, and any others with English
names already are so, and need not be changed.

2) I would download and print the EDIT move guide list if you haven't already.
Searching for a move randomly is tedious especially if you're unfamiliar with
how the moves are laid out.

3) I would print out this FAQ since you will need to look at the list of
changes (unless you're like my buddy Jeff who can remember them all). I tried
doing the old "copy a FirePro template by hand" thing before I had a printer
and it sux. So save yourself some grief and lots of time wherever possible. The
changes are laid out in the standard format that is done above. Each change is
denoted with a letter grade next to it so you can tell how this new move will
reflect on CIMA's performance. Therefore it will be quite easy to make the
changes that I have made to M2J's version.

My version is only slightly different from M2Js' so you would only need to make
these changes. This is designed more for people who don't have access via
Dreamcast but have gotten the SPIKE Download moves from a friend of a friend.
Since my version is dependent on you having those two moves that are mentioned
above. I'd be hard pressed to re-EDIT CIMA with out them since the Shubain is
his new Finisher! But I have friends who do substitutions for instance, Rolly
doesn't have access and substituted CIMAs Shubain with the Fireman's Carry to
Michinoku Driver for his Perfect Driver as a Finisher. Big Guy put the weird
Kryptonite Krunch style, default move in instead. If so you may use this as a
template of sorts (since FireProD templates are few and far between now a days)
to build or update CIMA.

Now that that is done lets look at the what's and whys CIMA should be fixed.

==============================
=6.2 Explanation of the EDIT==
==============================

So if CIMA's already in the game why waste a precious CAW slot to remake an
already great wrestler? Spike has been so kind as to release additional moves
via download, one of them being the Shubain. SPIKE download move # .W41 The
Shubain is CIMA's new finisher (he ditched the Mad splash due to problems with
his knee) its a Side Tombstone Driver with the opponent's body in a crescent
shape belly to back (CIMA's back), pretty wild huh. Also due to this injury
came CIMA's change
of styles it has been necessary to do an updated version. Yet as you will see
later on I like to relive the 2000 J Cup but since the newest CIMA is so
radically different (old {high flying} vs. new {power based}) then how do I do
so? Well thanks to M2J I downloaded and added the updated versions of Crazy
MAX, M2K, and Toryumon Army also I got Milano AT Collection (for AT lock AKA
Arm Bar/Head Scissors SPIKE download move .W45) and Ryo Saito (Cycling Yahoo
SPIKE download move .W37). I put all of the new versions of Crazy Max in
Toryumon and moved all of the defaults into WCW where they debuted.

NOTE: This will look just like the above but any item with an (*) next to it
means that it is changed from the default version of CIMA.

========================
==6.2. Appearance Fix ==
========================

Since this wasn't in any of the other FAQs I decided to add this one in.
Why did I revamp CIMA's appearance?

The Default CIMA is good but I didn't find it satisfactory. Since I was going
to have to build a CIMA CAW then I was also going to fix his appearance and
update it while I was at it. Here are the changes that I made:

1) His skin is too pale, CIMA is like Masahiro Chono's color (who I also had to
re-do). So I changed his skin color to default type #7.

2) His hair is often dyed/highlighted/lightened/streaked depends on the day of
the week you catch him in action. So I used base hair color default type #4 as
my base and went from there. The darkest (Left most box) I changed to R 3 G 3 B
3. To give him the streaks that he sometimes puts in, I changed his 2nd
lightest (2nd Right most box) to R 3 G 3 B 8.

3) He no longer wears the black star eye make up over his left eye. So I
changed the colors to match his skin tone (as mentioned in 1)

4) The outfit he wears when he is wrestling is a pair of shorts with fringes
and always the colors, black and white (Also the colors of the Crazy MAX team).
But I've only seen 2, either A) Black with a thin white design or B)Half Black
(Right side) with White Design and Half White (the direct opposite). Both sets
of shorts have the same exact pattern on them. Since there are no asymmetric
pieces/parts in the game I made do by using the bottom of the fire tights and
recoloring it so that only the outline of the fire was white and the rest was
black. In the second set of boxes to the last the Darkest (furthest to the
left) I turned White.

5) His fringes don't seem right. Of course not he wears black and white fringes
as well as Black and White shorts. So in the box where it is
Flesh1/Black1/Flesh2/Black2 I decided to turn Black1 into White, Flesh2 into
Black1.

6) Now that looks like CIMA!

==6.5. Strategy==
=================

6.5.1. General Strategy
=======================

The style employed by CIMA is an awesome hybrid of styles, what is now
considered Modern Junior. That means he can do it all. Decent at at drivers,
submissions, and great at the Luchalibre style that Ultimo knows so well. This
means your strikes (except punches), submissions, and highflying moves are VERY
effective but since he hurt his knee CIMA has re-invented himself as a ground
based power wrestler.  So use those moves if you want the most damage.  Rough
moves are decently effective although CIMA is a heel type character.  As for
grapple moves, CIMA has a lot of "A" rated moves like the Sweet Chin Music,
Front Enzigiri, Shubain (if you have it), Spicy Drop, etc. So those are
effective too.  A small weakness CIMA has is that his X throws are "C" rated
moves but it's still gets them to his strong front grapples which like the
Iconoclasm variations and Shubain (a cool finisher) are A rated.  So mix in a
few strikes and use some grapples. Although he's grounded and no longer a spot
machine don't feel bad. The re-edit isn't shabby either!

You mentioned the old (default) CIMA and new (re-edited) CIMA are different,
can you tell me how and some tips on playing as the new one. As for the EDI
version that M2J so graciously provided and I altered slightly. It's a very
ground based version of CIMA with his strongest attacks being Power based. Like
the real CIMA it's all about slapping on the Iconoclasm! If you can get your
opponent in the corner while he's malleable, do either Venus combo and follow
with a Shubain if necessary then pin! It works for the real one so why not the
virtual one! I try to follow the real CIMA lead as much as possible. When the
opponent is weakening I do a Sweet Chin Music to wake 'em followed by the
Turning Michinoku Driver AKA Falcon's Arrow (meant to be the Perfect Driver but
I'll settle). Do a pick up and put in corner followed by Venus combo (dependant
on mood) and if they kick out a Shubain for good measure.

For a strategy against him, his Crush and vs. Lariat and defense in general is
low side of the parameter chart, but that's common for Jr. Heavyweights.  So
try and use the same strategy to fight him as I have listed previously.

6.5.2. Strikes
==============

CIMA's strikes are rated "C" so it will be of normal effective.  His chops and
punches are decent to use early in the match.  But his Dropkicks are effective
but making it connect is a little bit harder. If you land it, it will floor the
opponent. His best strike is the Face to Face Enzigiri or the Sweet Chin Music
like the real CIMA landing one of these bad boys will stun your opponent good.

So the best thing to do is to use the various punches and chops to fend off the
opponents. Use the Low Dropkick when they move in to close range & try to land
the Turn Once Drop Kick more often for impact. Only use either the Enzigiri
Sweet Chin Music when the opponents are ready to be dazed and can be set up for
a hard thrown.  Don't forget to breathe every now and then, as strikes can
rapidly deplete your stamina. (Yes the last sentence was taken from BillWood.)

6.5.3. Grapples
===============

CIMA has some good grapples in his move set so use his "C" ranked moves early
like the Snap Mare and Body Slam.  Then you can move on to use his Brain Buster
to get them ready for the "A" throws beginning with the Arm Drag Slam. Then
finally, move on to his strong grapple moves which are all almost all "A" moves
like the Spicy Drop, X Factor, and Shubain if you have it. I like to try and
squeeze in a Perfect Driver if I'm feeling particularly good about the out come
of a match.

6.5.4. High Flying Moves
========================

When it comes to high flying moves, CIMA        had some of the best in the business,
like his Tornado Sucidia (a Specialty) and in "Off The Post Moonsault", the
default CIMA has the Mad Splash as a Finisher so use it. The re-edit still has
these moves but since the real CIMA doesn't do them too often I try not to
unless I'm in dire straights.

5.5. Opponent Down Moves (Submissions and Opponent Downed Strikes)
================================================================

Just use the Low Drop kick, High Gillotene Leg Drop, and Stomps most of the
time because they are the most effective.  You can use his Low Blow if you want
it's something that he'd do!
