*****************************1. Story/Introduction**************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
You are...a set of teeth? Well, even as such, you have a strong craving for
sweets that cannot be denied. However, some rogue Jaw Breakers plan to stop
your candy craze by...well, breaking your jaw. So, using your speed and
cunning, you must avoid them and gain all the sweets in the stage!
As you can guess, this is one of THE most oddball games I have FAQed thus far.
Being very simplistic, I wonder who placed it so high on the FAQ request list
(#7 at the typing of this FAQ)...either for real or as a joke. Regardless, I
do hope any of you enjoy this. I'm sure a few are laughing already...
And in case you were wondering : Yes, it took me longer to do the ASCII art on
the top of the page than it took me to write the FAQ/Walkthrough.;)
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
*******************************2. Controls/Set-up***************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
You may use either a joystick in port #2, or you may enter whichever keys you
please when it asks what keys you wish to use. No, really. You may customize
your controls as you see fit! Even if you are using a keyboard, you still need
to enter the keyboard controls anyway...
Afterwards, you are asked to give a "skill" level choice of 0-9(0 being the
lowest skill setting). Actually, it's the speed setting. I usually play on 0
(because of habit, but I am perfectly capable of up to speed 7).
After that, hit F1 and you're off!
When(because it's an endless game) you lose all of your lives and it displays
the high score in the center, press F1 to play again with the current settings
or press F3 to go back to the set-up screen(handy if you hit 9 by mistake;).
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
*******************************3. Screen layout*****************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
Naturally, you'll see your score and the high-score of the day, followed by
your life counter(the "jaws"). In the top window, which has five "floors" with
a moving hole in each floor. You can move through the holes by holding up or
down when they pass over.
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
************************************4. Tips*********************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
* First, let's understand the basic field of play. Those smiling rolling
balls? Those are Jaw Breakers. Hit one without a power-up and you lose a life.
Next, those tiny white dots and flashing dots(in the corners) are your goal.
Collect 'em all to win. Occasionally, a bonus treat will appear in the center.
Collect it for a slight boost in points. You don't need it to win, though.
* Those flashing dots will turn the screen orange temporarily. While orange,
you may chow down on Jaw Breakers at your leisure. Two notes, though. One, the
screen will turn cyan just before resorting to blue, meaning you had best stop
chasing them. Two, if you eat too many Jaw Breakers, they will vanish...and
your jaw will shatter from the sugar overdose! So don't bite Breakers unless
they are in the way!
* Use the holes in-between the platforms to move up and down.
* Since they will leave you alone afterwards, use the flashing dots to deter
the Breakers momentarily while you snag the rest of the dots.
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
*******************************5. Walkthrough*******************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
Now, your best plan is to immediately move to a level where no Breaker is
present(usually above you). Once there, clear the "floor" of all white dots.
If for some odd reason the middle floor is safe, clear first that instead.
After that, move to the next level in the same direction you last moved(in
other words, if you moved up at the start, move up again, etc.). Grab the
flashing dot in the corner, then clear that floor. You most likely bash
through a Breaker along the way, but it'll be fine. Head to the opposite floor
and grab the flashing dot, then move one floor closer to the middle and clear
that floor. Then finish off the last floor and be done with it.
The levels never change shape, so you can use this strategy for quite a while.
However, the time you have after you grab a flashing dot shortens as you
continue playing. So you may have to switch floors more often. The movement
part of the strategy still works, though.

*******************************6. FAQ History*******************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
FAQ Version 1.00, Release Date 1/24/04 : Initial release of this FAQ.
FAQ Version 1.50, Release Date 2/2/04 : Added the Walkthrough, Point Values
and FAQ History Section. Added a couple of things to the Tips and Screen
Layout sections.
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
******************************7. Point Values*******************************
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
Here's a nice list of the points you get for the items in the game :
Regular white dots : 5 points
Flashing dots : 20 points
Jaw Breakers(while under Flashing dot influence) :
Bonus Treats :
Lollypop : 100 points
Ice Cream Cone : 200 points
Cupcake : 300 points
Apple : 400 points
Other treats : ???
You also earn an extra life every 10,000 points. If it doesn't appear on your
screen, you still earned one. It's just that the screen hasn't refreshed yet.
If you die or complete the current level, the counter will make sure you are
credited properly.
The Bonus Treats appear at random in the center of the stage, but they only
stay for a few seconds. At first, it's the Lollypop, but as your score
increases the treats change in both type and value. I couldn't find anything
above the Apple, but I thought I saw a pack of licorice several years back.
Maybe I was imagining things...

Although this is indeed a quite small FAQ, I still wish to hold onto the
thirty or so minutes it took. And thus, I would appreciate you don't steal it
for your site. Besides, why would you bother;)? And it's time for the legal
bit of our show... :

private use. It may not be placed on any web site or otherwise distributed

In other words, contact me and I'll likely give you a go-ahead. Just, make
sure you contact first, okay?
