I believe you can release Garuda and Nanase by getting 28800 points
(with all characters?) Otherwise, there is a physical way to do so.
Get your arcade operator to go into the game menu, enter "Test Mode",
go into "Color", and enter this code on the 1P side:

..or something like that, I really couldn't translate it ^^; As for
Kairi and Shadow Geist, I think they become playable after a certain
amount of time or if you get lots of points with all characters. Anyone

New Gameplay Additions:
EXCEL (Extra Cancel)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This can be used on the ground or in the air. To activate it, press
a different P + K. When activated, you'll pose and the background will
change. For a limited time (about 5 to 8 seconds), any move or attack
can be cancelled into and out of (including special moves). This costs
one level of Super Combo Energy to use. You can use SCs in this mode as
well.
CANCEL BREAK
------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you perform a special move or Super Combo and your opponent is
blocking it, you can cancel your own animation and perform a Guard
Crush on your opponent by pressing the same strength P + K. Using
this costs one level of Super Combo Energy. Essentially, this is just
the ability to cancel into a Guard Break attack.
Basic Gameplay:
THROWS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
All characters can throw by pressing b / f + MP / HP. Some characters
can throw using MK or HK as well.
SUPER COMBOS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Super Combos are powerful attacks that inflict more damage / have
better priority than normal moves and special moves. Every character
has their own Super Combos, and they are all performed differently.
When you use a Super Combo, it costs one level of Super Combo Energy.
However, some characters have Level 3 Super Combos, which require that
you have 3 levels of Super Combo Energy to use them.
BASIC CANCELLING
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead of just being able to combo normal moves into special moves or
Super Combos, you can combo special moves into Super Combos or even
Guard Breaks into Super Combos.
SUPER CANCEL
------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can cancel one Super Combo into a different Super Combo--this is
called the Super Cancel. Note that you can Super Cancel even if your
Super Combos are being blocked. While you can't Super Cancel into the
same SC you just used (i.e. Skullo Crusher, Skullo Crusher), you can use
the same two Super Combos in a three-level Super Cancel (such as Skullo
Crusher, Skullo Slider, Skullo Crusher). You can even cancel into
button-press SCs (like Hokuto's Renbu), but getting them to connect is
much harder. Throw-type SCs can be cancelled into (you can Super Cancel
a blocked SC into a throw-type SC for a guaranteed hit), but you can't
cancel out of one into another SC.
GUARD BREAK
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Guard Break has two effects: if performed against an opponent who
is on the ground (standing or crouching), your opponent will become
stunned for a moment. If performed against an opponent who is in the
air, they will fly up slowly. In either case, your enemy will be left
open to attack. If you use a Guard Break on an already stunned enemy,
they will be knocked to the floor (although it's possible to Super
Cancel off of a second Guard Break). To perform Guard Break, press the
same strength P + K. A Guard Break costs one level of Super Combo
Energy to use.

I haven't played SFEX2 yet, I just wanted to get this information out for
those who needed it and have some fun translating stuff. This isn't some
sort of full-blown FAQ and I don't intend it to be. All I did is
translate what info. I could from Arika's page (www.arika.co.jp). So,
use this guide at your own risk.
