Wow! A nice pool-game! It is a clone of "pocket gals", but there are some
differences:
1) The texts in the game are in English
2) It has been censored..... :(
So this guide will help you playing Pocket gals too.
-How to play
The controls are simple.
1) Lever it controls the direction of the shot
2) Button 1 it's used to shoot the cue-ball
3) Button 2 Determins the trick shot
Give me a shot!
After setting the direction with the lever, push the button, and a small coin
will start moving right and left in the upper side of the screen.
This determins the power of the shot, strong (right) or weak (left).
In facts it's more complex to describe than to perform.
Aim of the game
Gain enough points to reach or overpass the quota requested by the current
stage before time runs out. You can earn points in the ways explained in the
dedicated section.
I need POINTS!!!!
The fastest way to gain points is to pocket the balls (quite obvious).
The main way to gain points is to pocket the balls in particoular order.
In facts after each stage the game gives you extra points, and only here you
can raise your score enough to pass the stage. Always remember that if you
don't reach the quota, you have to play the stage again!
Lives
You have an ammount of lives indcated in the up-left corner of the screen.
Loose them and.....game over.
Pocketing no ball in each shot means to loose half-life.
Also you are going to loose a whole life when you pocket the cue ball, but in
this case all the balls poketed after the cue-ball shot will be put on the
table again.
Collecting extra lives
There are 3 ways to get extra lives:
1 Pocket a ball in the star pocket (seems to be a random bonus)
2 Pocket a ball in the bet pocket (there a two different situations, more
info in "special pockets" section)
3 Pass a challenge stage
-Trick shots
Sometimes you have to perform particoular shots to achieve results that you
cannot afford with normal ones. Near the power indicator you will see a big
cue-ball, with a point-indicator in the middle. Before shooting you can press
the button 2 to change the position of this point (in fact it is the point
where your ideal cue is going to hit).
The differt positions and corresponding effects are listed below.
1 Center
The cue-ball hit in the center will stop when it collides with another ball
except for graze.
2 Draw I
After hitting another ball, the cue-ball will move back a little, depending on
the power given to the shot.
3 Draw II
The same as Draw I, but the cue-ball will be slower before hitting the other
balls, and move faster when coming back. Watch out for cue-ball pocketing!
4 Follow I
This shot will make your ball comtinue moving forward after hitting a ball.
Remember that the direcion taken from your ball will be determined by the
impact.
5 Follow II
The same as Follow I, but the cue will "follow" faster.
6 Massé I
If you need to make a curve shot, here's your choice! Giving the left or right
position combined with this one your ball will make a curve (but in fact is a
small one). Giving the Massé I effect alone will work similar to Draw command.
8 Massé II
Same as Massé I, but used for narrow curves.
9 Massé III
Depending on the power of this shot, the cue bal will jump to avoid obstacles.
Forget to be accurate (the other balls will move when yours fall back to the
table) and watch out for home runs!
10 Left
This shot makes the cue-ball twist left-side while moving toward selected
direction. Shooting with left means that the cue-ball hitting the edge of the
table will come out in a larger angle to the left.
Left and right are the only two that can be combined with other effects.
11 Right
The same as left, but right (this is obvious, too!).
-Score chart
100 points are given to the player for each ball pocketed. After pocketing the
last ball, extra points will be given:
1 for numerical sequence
2 for consecutive pockets (so called "pockets in a row")
The extra points given respect the following chart:
---------------------------------------------------
numerical
---------------------------------------------------
2 balls 500 pts
3 balls 1000 pts
4 balls 1500 pts
5 balls 2000 pts
6 balls 2500 pts
7 balls 3000 pts
8 balls 3500 pts
9 balls 4000 pts
all balls of the stage 5000 pts
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
consecutive
--------------------------------------------------
2 balls 500 pts
3 balls 1000 pts
4 balls 1500 pts
5 balls 2000 pts
6 balls 2500 pts
7 balls 3000 pts
8 balls 3500 pts
9 balls 4000 pts
all balls of the stage 5000 pts
--------------------------------------------------
-Special pockets
There are 3 kinds of special pockets:
1 Star
It's a random bonus (points, extra time, extra lives, etc.)
2 Help
I've seen it only on first stage, when you have only half life and pocketed a
single ball. Put the cue-ball in this pocket and all balls still in play will
move near the pocket. In this particoular "mode" all you need to do is to shoot
the cue-ball with full power in the given direction for each of the remainig
balls. There is no points reduction for using the Help function.
3 Bet
This special occurs when you half life remaining and a last numbered ball. Put
the ball in to get an extra life. Pocket the cue-ball and retry the shot
knowing that all the pockets will give a random extra-life bonus, the ball will
move faster and will not stop easy.
-Regular stages
1st stage 2600 points needed
2nd stage 4100 points needed
3rd stage 5100 points needed
4th stage 7100 points needed
General advices for regular stages
No particoular description for each stage can be given. In fact there is no
determined feature for the stage except the first stage.
In the first stage you will play with 6 numbered balls put on the table in a
triangle-shape formation. Only in the first stage you'll find the help zone,
which is a special pocket (so look for special pockets sectionin this faq if
you're intrested in).
The number of balls and their disposition in the other stages is a fixed order.
The order is:
1 6 balls, triangular shape
2 9 balls, rhomboidal shape
3 6 balls, larger triangular shape
4 10 balls, triangular shape
If you fail to reach the quota, you will repeat the same stage, but the number
of balls and the shape will be determined randomly. In some stages (only if you
have 9 or 10 balls to play with), after a few shots a ball start flashing. The
so called "super ball" have the power to give a lot of speed to cue-ball if hit
by the cue-ball itself. I don't use it a lot, because have all the balls
bouncing everywhere will make your ball out of play (usually pocketed, with all
the consequences). The super ball will last for one shot, so hit it soon if you
want to get it. Remember that the aim line is a projection of the center of the
cue-ball: this means that the ball is larger and may touch the other balls in a
different pointif you're not accurate! The time passes only when you're aiming:
take your time, and if you're not sure fell free to change your target, no need
to hurry! I do not make plans to reach the quota, because it's extremely
dangerous (you can fail pocketing a ball easyly).
-Challenge stages
After each regular stage you are wanted to chalenge yourself.
The rules are simple: one shot, two or more balls pocketed (avoiding obstacles,
of course). The obstacles you are going to find in this stages are glasses and
closed pockets: break glass or pocket a ball in a closed hole and the bonus
will be gone. This kind of stage is quite simple, but remember that there is
only one shot that will make you pass the trial. I've seen just 16 differents
stages, but......I think you'll finish the game before you see them all! If not
they will repeat randomly.
#1
Shoot the cue-ball with full power in the direction given. Very easy!
#2
Use the edge of the table for this stage. Just aim the point in opposition of
glasses over the edge, and use left effect (only a left tap of the lever!) with
full power. In case you break the glasses after you've pocketed the ball, don't
worry 'cause the stage is passed anyway.
#3
Your aim line must be parallel to the long edge of the table. Shoot the ball
with full power.
#4
You can see the balls divided in two triangles: shoot between them with full
power! (the aim line must pass through the dots in the middle of the table).
#5
The same as above, shoot between the two balls near you with full power!
#6
This is quite hard! Your aim line must hit the ball number 2 on the rightest
edge. Use (as usual) full power.
#7
Aim to the center of ball number 3 with full power.
#8
This is not easy, and maybe you'll have to practice a bit........can't you see
the white number 2 over the ball? A dot of your aim line must cover the lower
part of the number (the horizontal line). Sorry, but I don't have any other
reference mark.........of course use full power!
#9
This is easy! The cue-ball is touching an edge......aim directly to that edge!
The aim line seems normal (you can't see the bounce) and should pass through
the dots in the middle of the table. Full power!
#10
This shot is the famous so called 50° angle. Look at the long edge far from
you, and notice two holes closed. Aim to the dot in the middle of these holes
with full power!.
#11
Shoot straight between the two balls with full power.
#12
Consider the three dots between the two open pockets. Aim just under the first
on the left with full power.
#13
Don't move the aim line and use shoot with full power with maximum draw effect.
#14
Consider the farest small edge from your ball. Aim between the upper pocket and
the uppest dot with full power.
#15
Shoot as it is with full power.
#16
Aim perpendicoularly to the long edge farest from the cue-ball with full power.
