- This is it....the home stretch for the Mini Mix walkthroughs. Once I've
finished off Chun-Li's and Ken's, then I'm completed in this field. I
will probably make a full walkthrough for the game as well once all are
done, but until then....I'll worry about making the individual
character guides! This is the 10th edition of the Mini-Mix gang, and
it's been one long, tiring, and crazy journey to get here. Tessa is up
this time. I think the game she appeared in was called Red Earth. I
have never played that game, nor do I know anything about it except
that Tessa is in it. Maybe you know more about it than I do. Hey...more
power to you!
- Oh yeah.......No copying my work onto your site without asking my
permission. It's as simple as e-mailing me, asking me to use it. I'll
say yes if you do ask, so lets save some hassle here by doing things
right.
- Ok....I know I said final version, but I found something new to add
into the guides. I've now put in the different costumes for each
character in the Overall Stats Chapter of the guide. Sorry to leave
out such a factor to the game.

1) Tessa's Story
- Again.... I don't know anything about Tessa except that she's a magic
scholar. I know that from playing SVC Chaos and this game, so I think
that she's practically like Ryu in a way..... she doesn't change in
story, but just situations. So basically.... she's looking for more
magical knowledge!
- (Shows Tessa in her lab, reading a book)
Tessa is a devoted student of magic. Today, she is engrossed in reading
her new book.
(Tessa gets a surprised look)
Hmm? "If you swing the stick descended from the magical family "Shou",
you'll be able to change your appearance."
(She looks up with a confident smile)
This must be the magic stick that millions of girls would kill to get
their hands on! I must find it!
And so, Tessa went out on a journey to look for Hsien-Ko, who is a
descendant of the Shou family.
- Tessa is hunting down Hsien-Ko to getting a magic stick that will
change her appearance.....in all honesty I'll never understand why
women want to change their appearance. Of course some girls should stay
indoors....I mean they look like a foot! Maybe.....maybe a magical
stick that would change women's looks to beautiful women....wouldn't
be such a bad thing.
2) Controls

hcb - f-df-d-db-b
360 - f-df-d-db-b-ub-u-uf-f
3) Moves
- Tessa is a smart and sexy lady.....plus she knows magic, and that's
scary! I mean you don't want to make her mad or she'll put some voodoo
on your ass if you're not careful. So take your time, like she does,
and learn her style of fighting.....for your own safety.
- Throws -
- Everyone can do a throw in the air by pressing the p+k buttons in the
air. Tessa uses her cats in the air to do a Cat Spin Throw.
- p+k (Cat Spin.....Tessa has two different cats from what I understand.
One's a gray cat and the other is a black cat. I don't know their
names, but depending on which direction you're facing is what cat
will appear for this move. Tessa calls on one of her cats to
appear before her and do a take on Ken's Rolling Spin grab. This
move is actually really great in the sense that her cat is
attacking and putting distance between Tessa and her opponent.)
- hcf p+k (Cat Spin Toss.....This is essentially the same as the regular
Cat Spin, except the cat takes Tessa's opponent into the air
with this throw, rather than taking them forward.)
- hcb p+k (The Rocket Girl.......I think Tessa goes gypsy with this one,
even I'm not too sure. In anycase, this grab move actually
has alot more distance to hit with than any other grab in the
game. If the opponent is caught in the smoke, they're
immedieately strapped to a bottle rocket, and sent skywards
to meet their explosive end.)
- Combos -
- The combos that have descriptions with them are Ryu's most
devestating combos in my eyes. So I suggest you stick with what I
describe, or use the others that I didn't describe if you feel that
they would serve you better. Either way I'll list them all.
- PPPP (The Dark Witch......Tessa gets evil in this combo! Just do it and
you'll see what I mean. Tessa goes for a series of quick and
brutal slash attacks that are very deadly to say the least. This
is Tessa's most dependable combo since her others have lags in
them to be blocked, plus it's quick and powerful to boot!)
- PKKK (The Mad Scientist......Tessa shows her scholar side in this combo
as she lets her robot do the pounding on her opponent. The last
hit is an uppercut attack that will send the opponent into the
air, but there's lag before it will hit, so majority of the time
it will be blocked. This leaves Tessa open for attack for a
split second. Use this combo wisely!)
- PKPP (The Gypsy Girl......This is Tessa's grab combo, which is by far
the best grab combo in the game. Tessa's grab has distance to
grab with, and it's unblockable. On the 3rd hit, Tessa dons a
gypsy girl outfit and hits the opponent with what looks like a
tamborine, before she goes for the grab. You can catch alot of
people off guard with this attacking combo.)
- PPKK (Genie in a Bottle....Tessa goes for a genie to help her out on
this combo. On the 3rd hit, she becomes a snake charmer, and on
the 4th, the Genie appears in the form of one of her S Attacks.
Like all the other charge combos in the game, use this one at
your own leisure. That S Attack is easily blocked and leaves
Tessa open for counters.)
- PKPK
PPKP
PPPK
PKKP
- Special -
- Time to learn how that S button works with Tessa. Remember now,
each attack can be charged for extra amounts of damage, and each
attack is designated to knocking out specific gem colors.
- S Alone (Overhead Genie Smash......Tessa seems to love going into gypsy
garb, since all her S Attacks have her dressing up like that
and calling out a genie. In this attack, the genie stays
behind Tessa and then curls over her, going forward and toward
the ground. This move is basically 2nd in distance (not by
much mind you!) and I'd say 3rd in power.)
- f+S (The Genie Headbutt......Tessa uses her genie, this time to
headbutt her opponent. This is her best S Attack by far. It's
1st in distance and 2nd in power. Plus the genie's head is so
damn big, that it's hard to actually dodge! Most opponents
will have to block this attack or take it.....unless they
managed to super jump over it.)
- d+S (The Genie Uppercut......I feel sorry for the abuse that Tessa
is putting this genie through. This time she makes the genie
go into an uppercut motion. This move is 3rd in distance and
1st in power. Plus you can pop the opponent into the air with
this move, leaving them open for attack for small moment. So
be quick about hitting them!!!!)
- Special Moves -
- qcf+P (Wonder Fist.....When you use this move, you know why it's called
the Wonder Fist. Tessa turns her fist into a dragon to chomp her
unfortunate opponent. Now when you first use it, it's wimpy,
short, and has the annoying cuteness of a Pokemon. But gather up
some Red Gems and you'll make this move more impressive and more
powerful. When it reaches LVL 2, the true dragon shows up, yet
it still only goes so far. But reach it to LVL 3 and you've got
a powerhouse of a move. The reach is limited of course, but it
does have decent reach. Plus the size and power of this move is
crazy! You don't even need Super Moves when you have this move.)
- fdf+P (Revielle Blade......Ok....this move got really cartoony in this
game! If you used Tessa other games, such as SVC Chaos, you'll
know that she uses a dagger to perform a rising attack. Now in
this game, she still has the same motion, except.....she uses a
fish for the attack. Yeah you heard me.....a fish. Gather up the
Yellow Gems to beef up your fish from Minnow to Hulking Bass.
The move doesn't really gain air as you level it up, but the
fish used gets bigger and harder to dodge. Top it off with power
increase, and this move can turn the tide of a fight if used
at the right moments.)
- qcf+K (Tessa Roll.......This move is new to me. I didn't see Tessa use
this in SVC Chaos....or maybe I just wasn't paying attention...
but Tessa rolls up and hurtles towards her opponents. This move
just gains strength, length, and combo ablity as you level it up
with Blue Gems. At LVL 3 she turns into a Dragon form that makes
this move harder to dodge.)
- Super Moves -
- Tessa spent her time in her lab reading books and performing weird
experiments to come up with these Supers. Master them and learn when's
the best time to use them or you'll be in a world of hurt! Especially
if Tessa finds out you screwed up.....
- qcf+S (Mecha Tessa Beam.....Tessa is a great scientist of sorts that
she actually made a mecha version of herself. She uses her mech
in this situation to fire a beam of energy that looks like Ryu's
Shin-Hadoken from the Marvel vs Capcom series. In anycase, this
is a very dangerous move to get hit by.....or to use against
unsuspecting opponents. This move is damn near impossible to
dodge, so most opponents (if not all) will block it if they're
smart.)
- fdf+S (The Magic Dragon......Ok.....yet another cutesy move that Tessa
has, this is her big combo maker of the 3 Supers that she has.
You have to be right next to the opponent in order to hit with
this move. She goes into her Tessa Roll move, but doesn't move
forward. She stays in the ball til she goes into her LVL 3
Dragon Tessa Roll form. From this she stops spinning and her
dragon form is revealed. She stands up straight and takes up
alot of the screen in her cutesy dragon form. If you need gems,
this is the best one to hit with.)
- hcb+S (The Mecha Uppercut......This is the Super combo that is made for
dishing damage. There's nothing flashy about it, nor is it a
huge combo move. It's 3 simple hits from Tessa's Mecha. The Mech
can move forward some, but it's pretty slow and easily blocked
since it is seen coming. The best way to hit with this one is to
get right next to your opponent and not allow them to see it
coming. The Mech gives a quick one-two punches and then goes for
a double fisted uppercut. This knocks the opponent into the air
and knocks off alot of their life.)
4) Overall Stats
- Time to tell you nice people my opinions on Tessa and what she says for
victories......
- The victory phrases.....
- Your hado wave is disordered. Would you like me to fix it?
- Now you truely understand the power of my magic!
- Sorry, but I had to do this for my research! Nothing personal!
- Are you tired? Maybe I can make you perky! Look into my eyes...
- Tessa has the sexiness you could want in a witch girl. Her style of
fighting though, and her moves are best left to veteran gamers. She
takes time to actually get used to her fighting style before taking
time to actually become flamboyant with her style. If you've put your
time into fighting games over the years (And I mean the veteran gamers
only!!!! You need that classic Street Fighter in your veins!!!) then
you could venture into playing as Tessa. She's a great fighter to use
if you understand her moves and style. Once you've done that, then just
simply master her and you'll be one hell of a force to be reckoned
with!!!!!
- Tessa finally hunted down Hsien-Ko, lets see what they have to say....
- (Tessa)
I've finally found you! Give me the stick that you've inheirited from
your family!
- (Hsien-Ko)
If you want someone to do you a favor, you'd better be ready to return
it. I'm very hungry you know!
- (Tessa)
I don't make enough as a scholar to buy her dinner... I have no choice
but to take it by force.
- (Hsien-Ko)
A battle? Well then if I win, you have to treat me to two dinners!
- Time to see if Tessa can take what she wants from Hsien-Ko....
- Costumes -
- Now yes you do hve different costumes to use, but they're really just
different colors like in the other Capcom games. Ah well, least wise
they add some diversity to each character right? Here's Tessa's
different colors.
- Punch Button = Normal Colors
- Kick Button = Green Eyes, Purple Hair, Hat and Cape are a dark blue
Tessa has a tan.
- S Button = Red Eyes, Light Blue Hair, Hat and Cape are dark blue,
clothes and belt are a lighter tone than normal.
5) Ending
- Now again......if you want to earn the ending for Tessa yourself
then don't look at this chapter. Now for those that do, here it is.
- (Hsien-Ko is on the ground dizzy as a staff appears)
Hmm? This must be it. I'll take it home and try it out!
(Tessa is holding the stick while reading a piece of paper)
This is the manual for it! Let me see, "Hold it up high, then whack
yourself on the head with it, hard." Here goes nothing!
(Screen goes black)
Bong!
(Shows the staff and Tessa in a penquin form reading the paper again,
very angrily)
Wha.... What is this demented figure! Hmm? There is another note in the
manual...
"...Remember, you won't turn to your original form for 30 days. Be
careful. Anakaris Trading Company"
Arrgh, those magicians! If we ever meet, I'll take them out! And I'm
not talking about dinner!
- This ending was really hilarious to see. If you're a Tessa fan, you'll
get a real kick out of seeing a penquin version of her.
6) Credits
- Now thanks goto Capcom for making this addictive little game. It's
crazy as hell to play and really anybody should be able to get into
the game no matter who it is.
- Creds go out to all my friends that support my walkthrough making
ways. Hey....they're good for something....
- Lastly I thank all those who read this and my other FAQs I've made.
I'm glad I've been of help to all of you, and I'll keep on making
more walkthroughs.
- If I've screwed this thing up in any way, shape, form, or fashion,
then e-mail me at
[email protected] to correct my foolish
mistakes. I'll correct them and give you the proper credit you deserve
for catching something that I didn't see.
